Guys.. I’m like a very long time tumblr user but haven’t used this account in years. Decided to post this here since it didn’t do well on Ao3. I fixed it up a little in the process.

on a morning just like any other, miri goes looking for rei in the bathtub to wake him up. but this time, unlike any other morning, she finds that he's not there.

she stares, perplexed, at the basin where her papa normally sleeps, blinking down at the empty space in confusion. she makes her way back upstairs with the same confused expression on her face all the while.

the sound of the bedroom door opening at the end of the hall on the second level takes her by surprise.

"rei papa," she says, almost like she can hardly believe her eyes, "did you sleep in your bed last night?"

the aforementioned papa pauses in the doorway to his bedroom with one foot across the threshold, as though he's frozen mid-step.

"ah," he grunts, struggling to meet the little girl's inquisitive gaze. "hm."

not even his affirmative hum is enough to satiate miri's need for details.

"why?" she asks, her head cocking to the side. she eyes him, and rei is suddenly uncomfortably reminded of the training he's endured to withstand his composure under unimaginable torture and violence. somehow this is worse. "is rei papa sick?"

"no," he murmurs.

"then why is rei papa so red?" she steps towards him tentatively, intent to get to the bottom of her papa's strange behaviour and very pink face.

"miri!" the little girl is suddenly swept up from her feet, wooshing through the air as kazuki scoops her up into his arms while he sing-songs her name. he holds her up in front of his cheerful face. "your breakfast is getting cold, miri-chan!"

miri blinks into the grinning face of her blonde-haired papa. her gaze slides to the side to peek at rei, and the goes back to the man in front of her. she holds up a hand to cover her mouth from view (though it's on the wrong side to actually hide it from the brunette at the end of the hall.) "kazuki papa, rei papa sleeped in his bed," she mutters from the corner of her mouth, her little lips pursing.

kazuki looks at the man at the other end of the hall, completely still and looking at him with uncharacteristically startled eyes, and then back to the little girl in his arms.

"hmm," kazuki hums, "is that so?"

miri leans closer, and kazuki dips down too.

"maybe," she whispers, her tone even quieter and notably more conspiratorial, "he had... an accident."

kazuki relies on every modicum of self restraint and rigorous training he's endured not to outrightly laugh. instead, he hums thoughtfully with a solemn nod.

"we should be nice to him if he did," miri adds, "he might feel embarrassed."

the laughter kazuki feels welling up inside of him is as real of a threat as any gun that's ever been pointed his way.

kazuki sets miri down and she shuffles over to her other papa, who closes his bedroom door behind him just as she stops at his feet. she stares up at him, with a look that might be considered sympathetic if it weren't on the face of a four year old. she pats him comfortingly on the leg.

"it's okay, rei papa," she says pensively, something almost wistful in her tone. "it happens to the best of us."

and on that note, she spins on her heel and skips towards the stairs, heading to the breakfast that kazuki had promised.

"hold onto the railing!" the blonde calls after her as she sets off down the staircase, and she chirps back affirmatively before humming a little song as she goes.

the two men listen to her footsteps retreat, then the sound of her chair at the table downstairs being dragged across the floor, and eventually the sound of cutlery scraping across her plate.

kazuki turns, peeking at rei over his shoulder, a wicked grin on his face.

"did you have an accident? rei-pa-pa?"

"shut up," rei mutters, his shoulders slumping as he finally relaxes.

behind him, his bedroom door creaks open, and you poke your head out from inside.

"that was close," you say breathily, brushing your hair back from your face, and the two men watch as you slip through the door into the hallway. you have one of kazuki's hoodies on your frame, and a pair of cozy slippers on your feet.

rei looks at you, and you avoid his eyes, staring up at the ceiling and trying not to laugh. he pouts.

"you two are mean," he complains.

"rei," you laugh, reaching for him, but he shies away from you woundedly. the act only last for a few seconds before he's allowing you to slip your arms around his waist from behind, leaning against his frame while you embrace him.

"who are you calling mean?" kazuki sniffs, "i just expertly diverted miri's attention because you wouldn't get out of bed in time to get in the tub before she woke up."

rei and kazuki glower at each other for a moment, but there's no real animosity behind either gaze.

"no fighting," you pipe in from behind rei, peeking out from around his shoulder.

"this is your fault too, you know," kazuki points accusatorially in your direction and you gape.

"me?" you ask, offended. you slip out from behind rei's frame and stalk towards kazuki. "if i remember correctly you're the one who was begging me to stay over last night, and you're the reason why my clothes needed to be washed before i could leave." you poke him harshly in the chest, and he winces–though there's virtually no way it did any real harm.

kazuki chuckles, a breathy little heh, looking away guiltily with your fingertip still prodding his chest.

"speaking of," you look around the hallway, "where are my clothes?"

kazuki perks up, shuffling over to the laundry basket he'd dropped at the top of the stairs and fishing out your freshly-laundered clothes from underneath a pile of miri's. he brings them over to you and places them in your outstretched hands.

"thanks," you say, a little smile pulling at your lips. kazuki offers you his cheek expectantly, and you roll your eyes but crane up on your tiptoes anyway. he turns his face at the last minute, just like he always does, stealing a proper kiss.

you giggle as you pull away, kazuki's greedy hands reaching for you to pull you back, and you let him man-handle you into his hold while you sift through the clothing in your hands. you quickly notice something's missing.

"where are my panties?" you ask, tipping your head to peer up at kazuki who's draped over your back. his brow furrows in confusion, looking at the articles in your hands and then back to the laundry basket.

"there weren't any," he says in confusion, certain that he would have noticed something like that in the load of laundry he'd risen to do at dawn.

rei slips past the two of you quietly, heading towards the stairs.

it occurs to you just a second too late.

"rei," you hiss, careful not to make too much noise and draw attention to yourself. "rei!"

he glances at you over his shoulder, pulling his hand out of the pocket of his sweatpants to reveal a familiar ball of lace in his grip. he shoots you a smug little look, and then continues to descend the stairs, muttering something as he goes that sounds suspiciously like 'it happens to the best of us.'

you huff out a breath. “and if i run away and marry him?” you say questioningly, crossing your arms.

jungkook lets out a chuckle, not minding you any business as he prepares himself a late night snack, ramen.

“ok baby, go ahead.” he nods without any thought, stirring the seasonings in the pot carefully.

do you watch anime all the time? yeah, when you have the free time. he does too. sometimes both of you even cuddle together on the couch and binge watch a new show he or you have mentioned. you take a liking to certain characters, he can see a pattern, and gush over them occasionally during a scene where they pop up. for instance, you both are watching chainsaw man. he doesn’t know how, but you fell in “love” with the character aki. are tsundere men you’re type? is he tsundere?

“kook,” you spoke out, using your upper strength to push yourself off to sit on the countertop.

he hums in response.

you sigh, “baby, i just want to see what you’d look like. come on, a bad ass, game lover, hitman.” you expressed, he doesn’t have to look at you to see that you have those hopeful, beaming eyes. because he knows. he falls for them every time.

jungkook’s ramen is done and he takes the pot off the burner with a cork pot holder in his other hand to sit at the table. “why do you want to see me dress up as him so bad? you’ve never asked me to dress up as any of the other characters you’ve liked.”

you bite your lip, nervously. “yeah, cause i know you would’ve said no and i was too shy to ask. but kook, you’ll literally cosplay this man to a T!” imagining your boyfriend dressed up as suwa rei, from buddy daddies, an anime you recently started. one that popped up on your tiktok and you had found the plot quite interesting.

you realized you’re being ignored when jungkook slurps up a mouthful of noodles and is making angry noises as he chews.

huffing and jumping down from the counter. “fine, i’m going to assume you are thinking about it right now and don’t want to make your cute girlfriend said so i’ll ask you again later.” you ruffle the top of his messy, curly head and leave the kitchen to let him eat peacefully.

you had honestly forgot about it, a couple hours have passed and you’re finishing up an assignment you completely forgot that was due tomorrow as soon as you step foot into the class. you were in your room, sitting on your bed, back resting against a pillow against the headboard as you were quickly typing half-assed answers.

you assumed jungkook was showering, hearing the water running and some noises echo out from the door. he wasn’t crying for help, so all was good and you continued your work.

“babe?” jungkook calls out from the bathroom.

still typing but responding nonetheless, “yeah?”

“can you close your eyes?” your fingers pause above the keyboard, your head turning towards your bathroom door as you spot his feet’s silhouette.

you told your head, confused. “why?”

“just do it.”

“okay,” you do as you were told. “i can no longer see.” you responded, making jungkook giggle slightly which made the corners of your lips turn upward a bit.

after a few seconds of silence you hear the door open.

you hear him huff, “ok, open them now.” he mumbled, loud enough for you to hear.

slowly opening your eyes as you are met with your boyfriend standing before you, his hair slightly damp from the shower he just took, assuming he towel dried it. he’s dressed neck down in a black blazer paired with black dress pants that hug his muscular thighs. a white collar underneath with the grey little waistcoat and a maroon tie. to top it all off, his hair is up, he even remembered to let out a strand dangle, his shaved side burns being revealed.

jungkook is tugging his lip ring with his teeth as he nervously eyes you crawl off the bed with your mouth slightly open. he’s never really been into cosplaying, not sure if he could pull it off like the people he’s seen on social media, but he wants to pull it off in front of you.

“do i look silly?” his hands are tugging at the ends of his blazer, your eyes following it as you gasp with a hand over your mouth.

he even has gloves on.

jungkook’s eyes widen, “what? i look bad? do i look–“

you shake your head, quickly cutting him off as you admire the man in front of you right now.

“no, no, god no, kook. you look fucking hot.” making sure to emphasize the last word. you extend your arm to hold onto the fabric of his clothes, all of a sudden your legs feel like jelly.

he’s quick to hold onto you, tugging you against his front. “careful baby, this suit is designer.” he tells you, smirking. oh, now he’s confident.

“ugh, fuck you. god why are you so hot!” you push yourself away from his hold, voluntarily face planting onto your bed as you kick your feet in frustration.

you hear jungkook chuckling behind you as he slides his hands into the pockets of his pants. “don’t you want to take pictures? this won’t happen again…” jungkook sings out. he’s highly amused on how him dressed up as your favorite character has you acting all frustrated. perhaps, sexually frustrated??

immediately your heard perks up as you frantically search for your phone.

“can we have sex when you’re done playing photographer?” he asks during mid-shoot, continuously posing for you, even trying to mimic rei’s hard glare he has all the time.

You, your lover Rei, and roommate Kazuki shared the same line of work, one that involves a lot of risk, but a lot of reward. The duo were the executors while you stayed behind to work with Kyutaro on the logistics of making those executions happen. Never in your wildest dreams would you have imagined taking care of a child with these risks at stake. Never did you imagine that you would love taking care of one. After an almost botched mission, the three of you had ended up with a little girl at your residence who was here to stay, and you grew to love her. With Miri around, the limits of your relationship with Rei was challenged but also grew, as well as your teamwork skills with Kazuki. Needless to say, she gave you more adventures to go on, but some were more memorable than others.

Exhibit A: Afternoon Naps

Another day of daycare had gone by as you approached Rei’s flat with Miri in your hand. The duo was supposedly out on a mission since early morning, leaving you to be her primary caretaker for the day, so opening the door to see the two of them home was surprising. “Papas!” the bubbly girl screamed, running inside to immediately give them hugs. “Miri your shoes!” You called out, watching her track dirt inside the house. You had to smile though, she was precious with how much love she had to give. Kazuki bent down and picked her up to give her kisses on the cheek. “Oi (Y/N), I’m about to head out for the night for, y’know, those missions,” Kazuki chirped after putting Miri down. Ah a honeypot mission, that’s why they were home so early. You nodded, you didn’t have much your plate for the day as you had already sorted out the logistics of a couple missions with Kyutaro earlier on. “Gotcha, I’ll take care of this one and make sure she has her afternoon nap to help her grow. You made her some toast already right?” It was routine. Miri would indulge in a little snack before her afternoon nap, it was the only way she complied. “All right here! Thanks (Y/N), you’re the best!” He chirped. You hummed as you turned towards Rei, entranced in his video game and didn’t even welcome you back yet. You walked behind the couch to greet him, snaking your arms around him as you planted a kiss on his cheek. “Hi love, I’m back,” you sweetly whispered to him. “Hey, I’ll be home for the rest of the day with you,” he said in his hushed tone, still fixated on his shooting game. “I’m gonna head out now, don’t do anything I wouldn’t do,” he winked, suggesting at something suggestive. You became a bit flustered as Miri was just sitting at the table eating her french toast. “Kazuki!” you stammered. With that, he slipped out the door and left the three of you to your devices. “Where’s Kazuki Papa going?” Miri asked curiously. “He’s gonna be gone for the night for work, but he’ll be back to take you to daycare tomorrow morning!” “I’ll miss Papa…” Miri said with a solemn voice. “He’ll be back! Let’s just finish your toast so you can nap, that way time passes quicker and Papa will be back sooner!” You exclaimed, hoping to persuade her out of her sour mood. She perked up at that and shoved more toast in her mouth. Crisis averted. 

After finishing her toast, you put her plates in the sink as you gave her ‘ups’ to rinse her sticky fingers. “Rei, you wanna help me put her to bed?” You called out. If you were Kazuki, he would probably flat out ignore you or say he didn’t feel like it. But for you, he put his controller down and paused his game at your first request. “Rei Papa! Read me a story!” There was no backing out now for Rei, she wants what she wants. After you put her down, she ran to Rei and jumped on his lap. “Sure Miri,” he gave her a half-smile. You loved seeing the more softened domestic form of Rei that showed when he was in ‘parent mode’. You were just about to start doing the dishes when you heard her yell, “(Y/N) Mama too!” You sighed, dishes would have to wait as you obliged to her request. 

After taking turns reading to her the bedtime story about monkeys jumping on the bed, she finally had closed her eyes and slumbered. You looked at Rei and held out your hand for a hi-five which he quietly reciprocated. Closing the door behind you, you made your way downstairs to start doing dishes. Humming to yourself, you scrubbed the sticky leftovers from Miri’s plate. You felt a pair of arms snake around your waist and sudden kisses on the crook of your neck. “Feels like we’re an actual family huh,” you smiled, appreciating the touch of your boyfriend. “We are,” he stated with a soft tone. You loved how he showed affection when the two of you were alone, a side that nobody else got to witness. “So when are you proposing to me so we can be a married couple with a kid hmm?” you teased. You felt him tense up. “Take an afternoon nap with me (Y/N),” he mumbled with his head pressed against your back, completely avoiding your question. You had to smile, knowing that he was probably flustered from your question. “Sure baby.”

Kazuki was lucky to find out Miri’s birthday from the time that he talked to her biological mom. Her birth records were lost and Miri herself couldn’t remember her own birthday at 4 years old. After slapping that date on the calendar, the four of you didn’t remember about it until the month rolled around. Doing your chores as a responsible roommate, you bent down to take out the trash and your eyes caught the red circle on the calendar. Miri’s birthday… was today! The adults in the house had forgotten about it and you wanted Miri to have a memorable first birthday with her new found family. After frantically throwing out the trash, you texted in the group chat you had with the other two. ‘Guys Miri’s birthday is today what do we do?!’ You got an instant text from Kazuki. ‘Oh no we have to bake something! Me and Rei can hurry back soon from this stealth mission! Please (Y/N) can you go get ingredients at the store you’d be a lifesaver!’ You let out a sigh of relief as Kazuki was willing to chip into this project. ‘Shit.’ Texted Rei. You chuckled at his typical response. After checking the cabinets, off to the store you went. 

You decided that you were going to get ingredients to one-up a cake, it was going to be better than any old cake. You opted to try and create a honey toast, a delicious desert covered in sweets galore. Ticking through the ingredients on your phone, you also opted to grab the store bought hamburger steak, Miri’s favourite as dinner was probably too exhausting to cook after Miri’s birthday sweets were made. You also grabbed Rei’s favourite chocolate bar on the way out to bribe him into helping with the project. You checked the time, still a couple hours before Miri had to be picked up from daycare, perfect. 

Rushing back home, you picked out an easy to follow recipe and started to mixed all the dry ingredients before you heard the door to the apartment creak open. “(Y/N) you’re a savior!” Kazuki screeched. He ran and gave you an unexpected hug as soon as he saw you working on the treat. You saw Rei shoot him a glare. “Thank god you’re here, I wanted to make a honey toast for Miri! I need some help grabbing things, my fingers are gonna be a mess from the dough!” you grinned. “You too Rei, there’s your favourite chocolate on the counter that you can have if you help me,” you looked up at him with irresistible eyes. His gaze softened as he walked closer to you and planted a kiss on your forehead as he ruffled you hair. You took that as a yes. 

The three of you worked relentlessly in the kitchen, making the perfect honey coating, drizzle, and whipped cream whilst the bread was proofing. You laid out the fresh fruit you were going to use in the honey toast while Kazuki grabbed a knife for you to use to cut them into fun shapes. You started slicing the strawberries into tiny cat shapes when you let your finger slip from the moisture of the fruit resulting in a sharp pain and a slice into your finger. You recoiled, yelping in pain. Rei ran to your side after hearing your cry of pain. “(Y/N) what happened?” His concern for you was genuine. “It’s just a cut don’t worry,” you shrugged. He seemed more panicked than you and rushed to get a band-aid for you as you rinsed off your wound. He ran back down with a box of them. “Let me cut the fruit then…” he mumbled, not wanting you to get hurt. You knew that Rei was inexperienced in the kitchen and he could hurt himself a lot more. “Rei you--” “I’ll do it,” Kazuki chimed in. You let that go as your timer went off, it was time to put the bread in the oven. 

It was also time to pick Miri up and it was Kazuki’s turn to pick her up. “You guys got this right? I’ll take Miri to an arcade to kill some time.” “All good Kazu! It’ll be the best honey toast she’s ever had!” You exclaimed with confidence. He trusted the two of you to not mess anything up. After Kazuki closed the door, you let out a sigh as you pulled out the birthday candle and decorations you also bought. “Wanna help me hang these up?” you gestured to Rei. With his tall stature, you were able to hang up the decorations around the flat in the time that it took the bread to bake. You took out the toast, ready to slice into it to coat it with honey. Rei was munching on the chocolate you had got him and had a concern look on his face as you picked up the knife. “Careful ok?” You nodded at him. “Baby I’ll be fine,” you reassured. “Your hands are too pretty to get hurt,” he grumbled. Adorable. You quickly coated the inside with the honey drizzle you and Kazuki made and decorated the top with Miri’s favourite fruits and even pocky. The whipped cream and ice cream could go on last. 

You stretched your back and sat yourself down on the couch with Rei following right behind you. He wrapped an arm around you as he sat down. “You make a good mama,” he mumbled. “I wish I could do more…” he stated, feeling a bit guilty that he couldn’t have helped more in the kitchen. You gazed at him and shook your head. “You’re trying Rei, I can tell. You are a good papa and an amazing lover too.” You felt him rest his head against yours. You took his hand around your shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “Seriously Rei. I love you.” He loved hearing you say that, although he wouldn’t outright admit it yet. “Love you too.” 

Time seems to fly by when you were with Rei. After putting on a couple videos on the TV and snuggling with Rei, the door to the apartment cracked open and you heard a shrill happy voice on the other side. “Birthday!! Hi Rei Papa, (Y/N) Mama!” You jolted up and ran towards Miri. “Happy birthday Miri!” She squealed as she was lifted up by you and saw all the decorations around the house. “We have a surprise for you! Go hang out with Rei Papa for a bit while we get it ready!” She hummed in excitement and ran towards Rei. You quickly scooped the whipped cream on the toast and plopped a scoop of ice cream on top, sealing the sweet deal. You brought it to the coffee table where Miri was seated as you and Kazuki enthusiastically sung the ‘happy birthday’ tune to her. Even Rei chimed in at one point, quietly, but still audible. You smiled as she blew out her birthday candle that had a big number ‘5’ on it. She was ecstatic eating the honey toast, a combo of her favourite things, toast and sweets. You could also tell Rei loved it with how messy everything got and that was a job well done. 

Exhibit C: Crying Tantrums 

Bouts of cries and screams echoes through the walls of the shared flat between you, Kazuki, and Rei. Miri was throwing a fit on the floor after Kazuki had confronted her with a supposed ‘fight’ she had at daycare and didn’t believe her word when she said she didn’t fight with anyone. All Rei had to add was ‘did you win?’, not helping the situation whatsoever. You sighed as you tried to come up with a rational way to reassure her. Rei was fixated on Morio Kart and Kazuki was in utter despair from her yelling at him, telling him that she hated him. Kazuki stood in the kitchen, trying to distance himself from her to see if she would be able to calm down. You didn’t want to pressure her into speaking when she wasn’t ready, it was important for her to be comfortable and not have anything forced. 

“Mama’s here for you,” you uttered, hoping that would stop her crying, but it didn’t. You didn’t even think she heard you. You didn’t want to tempt her with sweets as that would lead to a bribing sort of reinforcement. You tried again. “Mama and your Papas believe you! We will still love you no matter what happens Miri. I know it’s scary but talking about things clears up a lot!” You heard her quiet down a bit as she looks towards you. You held out a hand towards her to hold. “We’re here to listen Miri,” you began again, elbowing Rei to signal him to help you out a bit. He nodded along with your statement. She finally got up off the floor and wobbled over to you and fell in your lap. You held her in your arms as she went quiet. “Papa Kazuki didn’t mean it either, he just cares about you and will also love you no matter what,” you stated in a softer tone. You saw Kazuki in the corner of your eye nodding his head furiously. 

You felt a hand gently rubbing your shoulder as you spoke on. Rei could tell that this was a tense situation and wanted to comfort you and his daughter the best that he could. “But I didn’t… fight him…” Miri hiccuped through her cries. You looked to Rei, not sure if she was lying or not. You felt Rei slip his hand into yours to give you more comfort. “We believe you Miri… even Kazuki Papa. I know it’s scary, but we can talk about it when you’re ready. It doesn’t have to be right now, or even tonight. Just relax okay?” You consoled her. Tears stopped running down her face as you gently patted her back. You could sense that she was still mad at Kazuki, but the volume was more tolerable now. 

“Let’s put you to bed okay?” you asked, gazing at Miri. She hiccuped and rubbed her eyes whilst nodding. You stood up as the two boys went to follow you. “Can you two wait down here, I think she only wants to be around me right now…” you asked with a heavy heart. They both nodded as you carried Miri upstairs to lull her to sleep. You started to understand how she saw the situation, and being confronted is a scary experience. You gently tucked her into bed and kissed her forehead. “We love you Miri, no matter what happens okay? Papa Kazuki didn’t mean to scare you, I promise,” you reassured. You didn’t get a response from her but you backed away to see the two papas standing outside of her door, startling you a bit. 

“Jeez guys, I thought I told you to wait downstairs,” you whispered. “Sorry I couldn’t help it, does she hate me? Please tell me she doesn’t hate me,” begged Kazuki. You sighed and patted his shoulder. “She’ll come around, she doesn’t do well with direct confrontation I noticed, we ease her into the conversation more next time.” He felt a tear trickle down his cheek as he turned away sulking. You turned towards Rei. “I can’t be mad at you, but maybe try to reassure her more next time? It’s hard doing this alone…” you mumbled, not knowing how to deal with these tense situations. It was always difficult for you to figure out a solution to make everybody happy, and at times like these when you couldn’t come to a resolution, you felt like a disappointment. You felt Rei grasp your hands. “I’ll try harder next time (Y/N)... don’t be so hard on yourself,” he whispered to you. “You’re doing well.” Hearing Rei’s compliments towards your ethic made you feel an ounce better at the very least. “We all learned something today then huh, I guess these are the not-so-wonderful aspects of parenting,” you shrugged. Rei interlaced his fingers with yours and gave them a reassuring squeeze. “I’ll stay by you during days like these too…” he promised. You turned to gaze at him, smiling at his softened expression. “I will too,” you vowed. 

Exhibit D: Doctor’s Visits

Your first doctor’s visit with Miri was surely a strange one, not for just you, for everybody involved. Nobody at the hospital normally came across a triplet of parents, and many were hesitant to ask questions. Miri was due for a couple of vaccines, being as young as she was, she would have to be subjected to many more. You sat with Kazuki and Rei in the waiting room as you got many odd looks from parents. Miri was sat on the floor, playing with the toy trains whilst they waited for her name to be called. You didn’t tell her that she was about to receive a couple of injections from a needle, that could be dealt with when the time came. Rei looked uninterested and like he was about to fall asleep whilst Kazuki was blowing up your shared group chat about his concerns about Miri. He would have blabbered them out to you but the waiting room was almost dead silent. 

“Miri Unasaka?” The nurse called out into the waiting room. Miri jumped up, at the sound of her name as you and the two others also stood up. You took Miri’s hand as you walked with her into the hall. “We’re gonna start off by taking her height, weight, temperature and blood pressure,” the nurse stated. She bent down and spoke to Miri. “Mind taking off your shoes and coat for me sweetie?” She nodded enthusiastically as she threw Kazuki her coat and stepped out of her shoes. The nurse took her height, weight, and temperature quickly and gestured for her to sit next to a blood pressure cuff. She looked at it confused. “Just stick your arm through it and I’ll do the rest okay?” The nurse stated. Miri looked at you and her papas. “It’s just a little squeeze, don’t worry it’s not scary!” Kazuki reassured. She had a puzzled look to her face as she looked towards you and Rei for reassurance. “Yeah what he said,” Rei said bluntly. “It’ll go by really quick!” You smiled. Miri took a deep breath as the nurse activated the cuff. 

Needless to say, she got through it just fine and was led to a private room to wait for the doctor to show up. The four of you were silent, knowing what Miri was going to be subjected to until she spoke up. “What are those ice cream sticks doing here? Do they have ice cream in here?” She asked excitedly whilst looking around. You chuckled at her answer. “No, they’re for checking your tongue and mouth Miri.” “I want ice cream now…” she grumbled. “We’ll take you to get some after!” Kazuki chimed in. She looked ecstatic now. All of a sudden there were knocks at the door, presumably from the doctor. The door was pushed open as the doctor stepped in carrying the injections and a clipboard. “It’s nice to meet you Miri! Are you ready for your shots?” 

She tilted her head, confused as the three of you braced for impact. She didn’t do well with pain. “They’re to keep you safe from germs,” she explained. “It’ll be quick and you can pick a sticker afterwards.” She perked up at the word ‘sticker’. You stood up and helped her roll up her sleeve. Kazuki made sure to hold onto her hand for reassurance. Rei also placed a hand on her back, gently rubbing for reassurance. The doctor inserted the needle into the vital of liquid and that’s when Miri broke. She let out a high pitch scream as she squired in you and her papas’ grasp. “Nononono it’s too scary!” You knew this was coming. “Shhh, it’s okay Miri. It’ll go by really quick, I promise, just like the cuff from earlier! You’re a brave girl, you can do this!” You cheered. She quieted her cries but was still sniffling like crazy. “You can play as much Morio Kart after this as you want,” Rei added in. “Yeah and you’ll get that ice cream!” Kazuki reminded. She gulped and turned her head away while still sniffling. The doctor took it as a sign to go ahead. You felt her tense up as the shot was injected into her arm, the three of you held onto her tight. The second one came and gone as quick as the first and she was done. You heard Kazuki stifling back a sniffle. “She’s so strong, that’s my girl,” he wheezed out. The doctor safely disposed of the vials and put a basket of stickers in front of Miri. She squealed, almost forgetting about the shots that were just given to her, picking out a dancing carrot sticker that she really liked indulging in on the TV. 

The doctor picked up her clipboard and looked towards you. “So which one of you is her papa?” she asked, writing down notes about the injections. The two of them both stated, “Me.” The doctor looked confused. You gave off an awkward laugh, “It’s a strange situation. We kinda, took her in so all of us are her guardians.” She hummed, jotting that down. “I would have thought that she was you two,” gesturing towards you and Rei. Kazuki felt left out and sulked. “I mean I guess we do have the hair genes,” you chuckled. “Anything wrong with her health today?” the doctor asked. You shook your head, “She seems like a perfectly healthy child to me. Always full of energy.” The doctor jotted that down and nodded. “Alright, you all are good to go, just come back in 3 months for her flu shot!” Miri reacted hearing the word ‘shot’. “More?!” she whined. The doctor gave her a smile, “It’ll be easier than today, I promise.” With that, she left you guys to all bearings. 

Kazuki, still hurt remarked, “Miri doesn’t look like my genes?” “Relax Kazuki, you know she didn’t mean anything by that, she is none of our genes.” Kazuki sighed. “When you two get married, please don’t forget that I am still her papa…” You blushed a bit, at the idea of marrying Rei. You felt his hand slide in yours as you walked towards the exit of the hospital. Rei suddenly felt more comfortable with this family the group of you had created.  

Exhibit E: Everyday is Exhaustion… But At Least I Have You

You stepped out onto the balcony after putting Miri to sleep. The week had been a long one for sure, and you two finally had time to spend together. He had his hair tied back, sideburns shown, in serious mode with a cigarette between his fingers, staring out into the city. He was dressed in a form fitting suit, something that you loved seeing him in. You stood next to him in silence, about to criticize him for smoking again after he promised to you that he’d stop for the sake of his own health and Miri’s. You peered over to him and noticed that the cigarette was a fake one, one made out of sugar at that. You smiled at him. “I’m actually quitting for you (Y/N),” he stated, still staring out into the twinkling lights of the city. “I appreciate that Rei, everyday has been so exhausting I missed you…” you mumbled, hooking your arm in his, leaning against him as best you could. 

“I missed you too…” he trailed off. You picked up on the sense that he was nervous, he usually wouldn’t hesitate to speak, he was always a man that blurted out whatever was on his mind. He stared off into the distance once again, you wondered what was on his mind. “What’s up Rei?” you inquired. He stayed silent for a second before he took a breath. “You know how much I… have grown to like our little family?” That was unexpected. “That’s very sweet Rei, I love it too,” you hummed. He shifted his weight and reached into his pocket. You felt him change his stance and turned to look, to see him on one knee beside you. No way… “Marry me?” The rhinestone of sapphire glimmered in the dim light of your balcony, your favourite gemstone. You felt your heart skip a beat, you were truly about to commit to something you couldn’t turn your back on. You knew the risks in the line of work you and Rei were in, but it was a risk you were willing to take. He is your ride or die, and you knew that he would protect you at all costs. You taught him how to truly enjoy himself in life, how to love again, and how to be a father. 

You were dazed but remembered to nod, feeling your heart swell and tears in the corner of your eyes. “Of course,” you whispered to him. You felt him slide the ring on your ring finger, the fit being perfect. He stood up and held you close to him, pressing his lips against yours. You let yourself melt into the kiss, feeling his soft lips against yours. He pulled away, almost out of breath and pressed his forehead into yours. “Thank you (Y/N). Gonna protect you and our family forever,” he vowed. 

Suddenly, you heard a crash coming from the living room with a happy squeal. “Papa Rei and Mama (Y/N) love each other!!” Miri was awake? “Don’t forget about me guys!” Kazuki cried out, trying not to trip as he rushed towards the balcony. “What are you all doing here?” you jolted after the startle. “Rei told me! I couldn’t just not watch! My best friends!” Kazuki threw his arms around the two of you. “Wedding time!” shouted Miri. 

Even in the most exhaustive of days, you smiled to yourself, knowing that at least you had Rei and your little found family.

Rei and Kazuki started training together once Rei recovered enough to be able to safely do physical activities.

Rei had to adjust to life with one functioning arm, he had to make his left arm his dominant one now.

They practiced hand to hand combat, weapons training, trying out all the moves to gain the quick reflexes Rei used to have.

Then, the real training began.

Kazuki rubbed his forehead in distress. "Who peels tomatoes like that?!"

"I saw it on TV."

Kazuki grumbled. "I guess we have to throw the TV out."

Rei gave him a panicked look. The TV seemed to have replaced his video game obsession hobby, even though Kazuki was secretly working on trying to buy a controller Rei could use with one hand. He wasn't about to tell him that though.

Yet.

"Alright, time to move onto more practical things. Drop your pants."

Rei turned around mechanically, with the fluidity of a robot malfunctioning. "...What?"

Kazuki crossed his arms. "I said drop your pants."

Rei's eye twitched. "...What?"

With an exaggerated eyeroll, Kazuki suddenly grabbed Rei's hips and hooked his fingers around the loops on his pants.

Rei jumped. "O-Oi!" with his one arm, Rei tried to grip onto both of Kazuki's hands to deter him from pulling down his pants. Kazuki was persistent and tried swatting away at Rei's arm.

During their scuffle, they had somehow ended up falling on the floor, now wrestling each-other awkwardly. "Oi, Rei! Stop being stubborn, I can't keep following you to the bathroom forever! What if you have to go number 2? I won't call the nurse for you anymore!"

Rei growled and tried locking his legs around Kazuki's waist to trap his arms at his sides. "I told you I can do that on my own! You just follow me to the bathroom whenever I go there!"

In the heat of their wrestling, the two highly trained assassin's failed to register another presence in the room with them.

It was Miri.

Standing in the doorway, the 13 year old stared blankly at her papa's frozen on the floor at the sight of her, Kazuki on top of Rei, one hand fastened on his belt. Rei's legs were locked around Kazuki's waist, trapping one arm at his side.

Miri coughed. "...Karin-san warned me something like this might happen when I'm older..."

With a flaming hot face, Miri quickly dashed down the stairs. Laughter could be heard from a certain young woman.

Kazuki's eyes widened. "KARIN! WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING OUR DAUGHTER!?"

Rei gets so engrossed in his gaming, especially when it is a release date for the next Morio Kart dlc, that he often forgets to eat and drink anything. During this time, which you've grown accustomed to, you make sure to get him healthy meals and drink plenty of water.

Due to his relationship with his father, Rei was always worried to become like him so he never wanted a family of his own. But he pauses his game whenever he sees you playing with Miri, and he thinks it would be okay having a family, if it was with you

You two don't fight often, but having arguments is healthy in any relationship & when you two do fight its never really bad. But one time it is bad and Rei doesn't grasp the situation (because of his job he can turn off his emotions and not think) and ends up saying something rash to you during the argument causing you to storm out. Miri asks where you went and he just shrugged. Once Kazuki came home and asked about you he'd yell some sense into Rei and he would immediately panic to go find you. Once he did he would apologize and try to listen better and you promised not to run away again during an argument like that.

He would try to shield you from his job, knowing well enough that attachments can lead to them being targeted and you didn't have a background in assassination. He would over take precautions to keep you safe, register his residency somewhere else than where you, Kazuki, and Miri lived. Go that way to go home every time and just take back alleys back.

His obsessive worry about keeping you and the house safe always made him late to return home and you would be fast asleep when he did return. He would undress in the closest to avoid any blood being seen and start to head to sleep in the bathtub. He would stop when he say you alone in his bed that he rarely slept in. He would drink in the image of you sleeping peacefully in the moonlight that trickled in through his blinds. On the off chance you didn't stir awake at him gawking at you, he would climb into bed behind you. Pulling you as close as he physically could, vow to protect you for another day, and sleep peacefully behind you.

A Buddy Daddies' Halloween

School and work have been slamming me yet again, so unfortunately could not write a fic for today (on top of the pile of wips I still need to finish). But, I really wanted to do a little drabble/throwing out of ideas for what a Halloween with the Kurusu/Suwa/Unasaka family might look like.

It's their first Halloween at their new home and at the Diner's Nest

Kazuki and Rei get a notice from the city council that as a local business, they are invited to participate in a Halloween event similar to the one that takes place in the 3rd CD drama (i.e. kids visit local business to essentially go trick or treating)

Determined to make a good impression with their new community, Kazuki decides that they are gonna go all out: decorate the restaurant, have specialty food items, and only hand out the best and biggest candy bars

After Miri returns from school that day, the family takes a trip to the local dollar/general store to search for some decorations

They all go off in their own direction and reconvene later: Miri found pumpkin decorating kits, Kazuki found some banners and streamers, and Rei wandered down the "scary" section for decorations, and returned with a few statues that are very terrifying and gory looking (at least to a fairly young child)

Kazuki reminds Rei that the trick or treaters are trying to scare them, not the other way around. But, he eventually relents and agrees to get one of the decorations Rei found so that the decorating process can truly be a whole family effort (and on the agreement that it will sit in the back corner of the restaurant)

Once they finish shopping for decorations, Miri says they need to look for their Halloween costumes

Miri picks out another princess dress and she makes Papa Kazuki and Papa Rei match with her, with Kazuki getting a jester costume and Rei getting a knight costume

Over the next few days, the family spends time getting the Diner's Nest prepared for Halloween. Kazuki is also testing out how to put a Halloween spin on a few of their dishes. His proudest moment is when he figures out the right amount of pumpkin spice to add for a delicious, seasonal pumpkin french toast

Halloween finally comes and the front-facing decorations and pumpkins are inviting and loved by all those who stop in at the Diner's Nest.

The regulars try out the handful of dishes Kazuki developed (and Rei and Miri approved) and enjoy the hidden, little corner decorated around the scary statue Rei found, especially when compared to the cuter decorations seen throughout the rest of the restaurant

It's around mid-afternoon when they run out of candy to give to trick or treaters, causing Kazuki to panic slightly. Rei comes up with the solution to bake some cookies or cupcakes that they can start handing out instead.

After they close up the diner, Kazuki and Rei get into their costumes and take Miri out to go trick or treating in the local neighborhood

Miri gets a bunch of candy, with some families giving her a little extra to share with her papas

Upon returning home, Kazuki agrees to ordering a pizza for dinner. Then, they watch a Halloween movie together while eating their pizza, with Rei and Miri digging into the candy stash afterwards

Kazuki tries to limit how much sugar the two of them eat, but knows how much both of them looked forward to Halloween and wants them to enjoy it

Rei and Miri eventually crash on the couch while they are on their third or fourth movie. Kazuki knows he should probably move everyone to their bedrooms, but he's pretty tired himself. And also, it's been a while since they've had a family nap/cuddle like this. Kazuki is pretty sure he'll regret letting them all sleep out there in the morning, but that's a problem for later. Soon, he too is asleep with the rest of his family on the couch.

“Just like that, fuck, Rei, baby—”

And, just like that, Rei’s world goes topsy-turvy.

Kazuki—ever-worried, ever-perceptive Kazuki—notices immediately the way Rei stills above him; notices and interprets as hesitation, or worse, displeasure, and props himself up on his elbows with his brow so caringly furrowed. “Rei?”

But, god, what is Rei supposed to say? That he can’t breathe when words like that fall so easily from Kazuki’s lips? That he’s never felt so wanted—so loved—as when he says those things to him? If only he could put his feelings to words the same way Kazuki does. If only he could be more like Kazuki; Kazuki and the tenderness that so gracefully finds its home on his tongue, on the tips of his fingers that reach for Rei like you’d reach for the surface while drowning. Like he needs him. Like he can’t live without him.

“Rei, you okay? D’you not like it when I call you that?” Kazuki’s reaching for him that same way now, worried that he’s crossed some invisible line, that there’s something Rei’s not telling him. And Rei would tell him, he really would, but the words just won’t come. 

Because he’s not like Kazuki. 

But, there would be nothing worse than letting Kazuki think he didn’t like it when he called him baby, when he calls him love or darling, so Rei does what he can: he surges forward, recapturing Kazuki’s lips with a fervor that surprises even himself, open-mouthed, desperate, and wanting. 

Kazuki lets himself be pushed back onto the pillows with a laugh and clinking teeth, and when Rei finally pulls back for air, he’s met with waggling eyebrows and a teasing smirk.

“Ohhh,” Kazuki grins, sly as he is triumphant. “I see. You do like being my baby!”

And Rei would normally scoff, would give a haughty huff and insist that that’s not what’s going on at all—but a small smile is quickly taking residence on his lips, and it’s turning into a bigger smile by the second.

Because as it turns out, he doesn’t need to put his feelings into words for Kazuki to be able to understand him perfectly. Because Kazuki makes him feel like he doesn’t need to be anything other than Rei.

"This is the last time! Last time I leave you to remember things on your own," Kazuki fumed as he dragged Rei down the street. "I swear, I'm gonna fill the house with alarm clocks then we'll see if you forget about Miri again."

"Don't, it's too noisy," grumbled Rei.

And it took all of Kazuki's self control not to smack him right at that moment.

"Whatever, we're already late. C'mon!"

Rei muttered something that sounded suspiciously like fucking hell. But whatever response Kazuki was about to give died down in his throat at the sight that greeted the two of them as soon as they reached the daycare.

In front of the closed gates stood Kugi Kyutaro, the last rays of sunlight catching on his glasses while his expression remained terrifyingly neutral. To his left, their daughter was bouncing happily on her feet as she held Kyutaro's hand.

"You're late."

"Papas!" beamed Miri, blissfully unaware that this might be Kazuki and Rei's last day on earth.

Kazuki reached out with trembling hands but Rei had already crouched down, scooping Miri up in his arms when she crashed into his chest. Kyutaro had started walking away, leaving the family to glance between each other before following him a few careful steps behind.

"Kyu-chan, I—," Kazuki's eyes darted over to his partner, "We can explain, I promise."

"Save it," Kyutaro brushed it off, "we'll talk when we get to Rei's apartment."

There was a beat, Kazuki held his breath as Rei easily switched Miri to his other arm.

"The Yadorigi is closer, though."

Forget about death, Kyu-chan would definitely end up firing them at this rate.

Rei Suwa, crouched down carefully watching his targets through the lens of his sniper for minutes now. His index finger softly presses against the earpiece and asks, “you onboard with this?”

“yes.”, kazuki says who is dressed as in black suit with white shirt underneath and neat tie declaring his calm demeanor. In this mission, he is just a bodyguard.

“Miri, you're up.”

What does she have to do? What she does the best. evoking distraction. It's true that rei's target has become rusty but he is glad that he doesn't have to kill people anymore

And kazuki’s blood pressure is doing fine lately since he can finally take miri in his missions, actually being helpful.

Kyutaro is impressed with their results even if he is not much fond of the patchwork that he has to do as an effect to the cause of introducing such a walking- talking charming missile, Miri.

Rei only listens to a single song on repeat on his iPhone when he’s working out. And it makes him either chuckle (silly) or smile (affectionate) depending on his mood every time he does. Amusing how he has come to know it.

A couple of months before Miri came into their lives, Rei found another fact about Kazuki, that is, he loved to dance with this particular Avicii track while cooking. One time he was on the couch with nothing to do but reading the football manga he kept on postponing for days. The last mission was a week ago and Kyutaro-san told them to lie low for a while. The synthesiser’s screeching and humming next to the kitchen island initially astonished him. It must be the quality of the loudspeaker, a portable Bang & Olufsen, because the pulsating beats came out so forceful that he was glued to a dancing figure at his kitchen. Kazuki’s singing, who knew the lyrics, perfectly encapsulated the yearning of the singer. His partner swayed his hips as if he were alone in the room unaware that Rei was watching him intently. Did he forget that I am here? Ah yes, Kazuki could move too. No doubt about that. The frequency he went to the clubs at the start of their acquaintance was legendary. Rei opened the Shazam app on his phone and pointed it at the direction of the speaker. Hmmm… he might download it later.

Wheeling around, he found Kazuki looking at him in a way Rei couldn't describe.

They had decided to be a real family from now on, yet Rei was still trying to figure out the depth of those words.

"I made some tea," Kazuki finally said.

As they enjoyed the tea and the reassuring silence while staring at the starry night, Kazuki added, "There's no horizon line, Rei."

With a perplexed gaze Rei flicked his eyes to his friend, a warm hand placed on his own was giving him the answer.

There’s nothing for it.

Rei sucks on his sixth cigarette of the hour and stares at his own reflection in the mirror: the ghost-white canvas of purple-green bruising dappling his forearms and biceps from grappling practice, the spare lines of his waist, the concave flatness of his chest.

He looks at himself and he thinks of Kazuki, and he knows he is everything the other man doesn’t want.

There’s nothing for it, he thinks again.

He is not soft. He is not kind. He cannot soothe with a touch, calm with his words, and he thinks that Kazuki looks for that sort of airheaded tranquility in a partner. Deserves it too, someone better at comforting than he could ever be. He wonders if the woman Kazuki is bedding tonight is anything like that, if she’ll last longer than it takes for him to bury his cock inside her body.

Somehow, he doubts it.

A knock at the bathroom door has him cursing beneath his breath, Miri’s little voice muffled against the crack of the jamb as she says, “Uncle Rei?”

He tamps out the cigarette in the sink and leaves it there. Shoves his head through a nightshirt, shuffles his way into a pair of baggy sweats as he calls, “Just a minute, Miri.”

One day, maybe, he’ll quit enabling Kazuki’s lifestyle long enough to force him to find someone he can take the kid around. Someone good, someone patient, someone with better instincts than his. He is designed to kill, to take down — never to build up or boost.

That’s what the child needs.

He flicks on the vent and opens the bathroom door a crack to slip out so the smell of smoke doesn’t cling to her clothes.

Big eyes peer up at him balefully, waterline wet with tears and her nose dripping snot. He sighs and doubles back for the bathroom, tears off a strip of toilet paper and scrubs at her face with it.

“What’s wrong?”

“I can’t find Papa,” she says. Her gaze skitters away from his face and back; she shuffles closer, small hands gripping at the leg of his sweats. She wants up, wants to be held, and he doesn’t want to do it.

He picks her up anyways.

He’d love to track Kazuki down — easy enough to do by scent alone; he’d poured on more cologne than was necessary before finger-gunning his way out the front door. He won’t, though.

Rei will stay here, because regardless of how irresponsible Kazuki may think he is, he’s moreso than he receives credit for.

“Obviously,” he sighs. “What do you need him for? You’re supposed to be in bed.”

She rests her cheek against his shoulder, and his heart does not grow three sizes at how sweet the motion is. She tugs at a piece of his hair and sniffles. “Papa didn’t tell me a bedtime story tonight.”

Another flash of irritation, and Rei grinds his teeth hard enough his molars ache. This is Kazuki’s mess, Kazuki’s kid. Not even Kazuki’s house; the fucking freeloader’s been crashing for near six months and hasn’t so much as offered a dime towards rent.

No, he’s just… cooked and cleaned and jokingly told Rei have a good day, honey, stupid little apron cinched around a sinful waist like some sort of stacked housewife.

“Right,” he says instead of the myriad of curses he’d like to say. “Well. You’re not getting a bedtime story from me.”

Her head pops up from his shoulder. “You have to.”

“Says who?”

“Says me,” she responds. “Says—says Papa.”

“Your papa isn’t my boss, kid,” he tells her. He swipes at her nose again and stuffs the used tissue into his pocket.

“Since when? You do everything Papa wants.”

Rei is thankful for the relative darkness of the hallway. It masks the burning of his ears, the rush of blood to his cheeks. Does he? Is he that obvious in his desire to please Kazuki, unrequited as it is?

“Not true,” he argues, and then quickly realizes that arguing with a four year old is stupid. He’s an adult.

“Uh-huh,” she says, nodding. “Papa told his friend you were spanked, ‘cause you do what he wants.”

“Spanked,” Rei repeats, nonplussed. “You—you mean whipped?”

“Yeah!” she kicks her legs happily, and he muffles a grunt when her foot slams directly into his liver. “That thing that happens to kids who are bad.”

“I’m not whipped,” he says, and he carts her down the hall to the living room. He’s annoyed now, whatever wash of sadness he’d felt in the bathroom replaced by the knowledge that Kazuki has some grasp of how down bad Rei is for him. He knows and he uses it, manipulates it, and Rei lets him.

It takes one of those sweet, goofy smiles, a wink, and he’ll do whatever Kazuki wants.

Well, fuck.

He turns on the television and drops onto the couch, Miri still in his lap.

She twists to watch as he opens a streaming app and flicks through the options under the anime category.

“I’m not allowed to watch tv this late,” she says slowly. She turns back to face him, chin tipped up so she’s peering into his face. “I’ll get in trouble.”

“It’s not tv, it’s a bedtime story,” Rei tells her. “About a girl who finds a magical cat who tasks her with saving the world from evil.”

She considers that, blinks her big eyes up at him as she takes in the information and likely memorizes it for later use against Kazuki. Finally she relaxes, gives a nod and allows him to reposition her so they’re stretched horizontally across the couch.

Rei clicks the first suitable option he finds and proprs a pillow beneath his head. Despite her initial reluctance, Miri snuggles against him, head tucked securely beneath his chin as lights flash across the screen.

There’s nothing for it, he reminds himself as the intro for Sailor Moon starts up.

He’s here. And he’ll be here, until Kazuki finds someone new or gets sick of Rei hanging around like some lovesick little schoolgirl.

He doesn’t want to think about which of those will happen first.

Hello everyone, Peahen mom is here with another drabble. This was a request from a friend but I hope they like the idea of this. Though, it did take a while but just letting you know.

"Are you sure the target is around here somewhere in this club?" Rei heard Kazuki ask while they were dressed up for the mission like they were just two people having fun in this club. Tonight, the two are assigned to kill two mob leaders in a club here. They told the targets were here tonight to see that it was busy as normal.

"I told you for the fifth time, Kazuki, they are in this club. Besides, we just need to find them, take them out, then leave. Our mission will be done after we do that." He explained with his arms crossed hearing Kazuki sigh.

"Fine fine...I guess we just have to find them." He mutters looking about seeing the others dancign in this place. The music was loud but not loud to hurt your ears.

"Anyway, lets hurry and find the targets. They should be in the crowd somewhere. Just find them and lets not get distracted.." Rei said as he was scanning the dance floor. The two just arrived looking around but as they did, both their heads stop in one direction.

"Uhhhh.."

"?????"

Both of the assassins said nothing when their eyes came across a guy. He looked pretty tough, having messy golden color hair while he seems to be looking out around the crowd. The two remain silent to look at him then at each other. With their time as assassins, they immediately know it's an undercover cop.

Stanley Perez, the toughest officer ever has been given the mission of finding and arresting the two targets they were told to assassinate.

"Shit. I get the feeling he's here for the same targets. Damn it, with him here, it's going to be hard to kill the two." Rei heard Kazuki mutter crossing his arms.

"Oh calm down. Their has to be a way to distract him till we can take the targets down." He said thinking as well while Kazuki was thinking with his eyes looking down but as he thinks, he blinks to look ahead.

Rei noticed the expression. "What?"

"I think i have a idea. I'll distract him while you go and find the targets and take them out. This way, he won't know and at least one of us can keep him busy till you do the job." He sees Rei think about it but that might work.

"....I guess that can. Fine, I'll try to be quick as possible to take them out. Just be sure your doing your best to distract him by any means necessary." Agreeing with the plan, Kazuki quickly ruffles his hair to disguise himself and acts like a flirty guy.

He hopes this works seeing Rei going to complete the mission to him seeing the officer up close. "Heyyyyyy handsome? You new around these parts?" He winks to see Stanley looking out ignoring him.

"What's wrong? Shy?"

"Please don't bother me. I'm a little busy right now." Stanley said making sure not to be distracted from anything, even the flirts from this club.

"....Awwwww, don't be so down. I'm not going to do anything wrong. Please? I'm sure you will have fun." He winks but once more Stanley keeps a eye out. Yeah, he's not distracted since he's focused on this mission. He saw Rei finding the targets but he had to think before Stanley noticed.

Stanley tries to ignore him, focusing on his mission. He had to think of a plan to get him to look at him but he did have one idea. Thinking fast, Kazuki quickly smacks Stanley's ass.

Stanley yelps from the hit. "HEY! What the fuck is wrong w-Mffm?!" this provoke Stanley and as he turns around, Kazuki quickly pulls him down and kisses him full on the lips. Stanley's eyes widen by this but didn't fight back and immediately melts.

The kiss was held for a few moments before he breaks the kiss to wrap his arms around him to wink. "See? I'm not going to bite...since you are such a cutie." He teased even if Stanley was blushing while holding him.

"I...You.."

"You know, I can make you feel even better if your willing to have a little..'fun' with me." He purrs holding him close but he saw Stanley blink as he was about to snap out of it only to get kissed again. He sees him whimper from the kiss that he didn't know Rei quickly pulls the two targets away into the dark, taking them out. He didn't see and was able to assassinate them.

Kazuki keeps kissing him before breaking the kiss again. Stanley was panting softly but sees him touch his cheek. "Now do you wanna have fun with me?" he asked once more that he lowers his arms to pull him away to somewhere private. Lucky for this club, it allowed guests to have a little fun in private. While Rei steps back out to look for Kazuki, he saw he distracted the cop but he was taking him somewhere. Curious, he follows him.

In that area, Kazuki saw a few rooms empty but one was closed and locked. He goes to pull Stanley into a room with him as he goes to gently push him on the bed and looks at him.

"Hey, what are you-"

"Shhhhh, don't worry. Just relax. I did say I won't bite.." he said but gently gets him to keep still and kisses his lips again. Stanley twitched to feel the kiss again while Kazuki was blushing but in his mind he was panicking. He had no idea how to please a guy before but he was keeping calm hoping Rei finished the job. He keeps kissing him deeply to make Stanley shake in his hold while reaching wanting to kiss him but before he could...

"Kazuki, are you-" Rei stops to see the sight seeing Kazuki break the kiss, holding Stanley in his arms while he was blushing.

"Hey Rei, wanna join us? I found this cutie in the club. Do you think we should have some fun.. "he looks to him showing his face but hopes he will join to help him. Rei was blushing heavily from the thought but he only sighed to close the door locking it.

Good thing he cleaned the mess and he didn't smell of blood so it was...fine. He walks towards the two but looks at him while sitting on the bed by Stanley still flushed.

Stanley still was blushing seeing the other but Rei held him still flushed. "I didn't expect my friend to find someone so cute...but I hope you don't mind a little fun with two of us.." He touches his cheek only to see Kazuki sit down as the two look at him but he leans in to kiss him again while Rei did the same to his neck.

Stanley was panting wincing as he was feeling Kazuki fingering him quickly trying to help him relax. Rei on the other hand was sucking on his length while pushing his head down taking him deeply. He shook to see him shivering with Kazuki touching his chest.

Before the intruder could even move another step, a sinister aura fills the once quiet diner.

"Drop the gun, pal." gun clicks. "You're way over your head robbing this place."

It was Kazuki, standing behind the intruder like a phantom menace sent from the devil personally, his form concealed in the cover of darkness and only his silhouette visible and the absolute murderous stare in his eyes.

The intruder drops the gun very quickly & Rei calls the police (in another time, they would've disposed of the body themselves).

Rei looks at Kazuki now in the light and sees the butt of the gun barely peeking through his night shirt as they say their farewells to the police officers.

"I had it handled." Rei piqued.

Kazuki grinned leisurely, the threat now gone. "Yeah, but I was in the area and wanted to be cool. It's been a while since I threatened someone, you know."

Rei smirked and moved to go back to bed, but not before something cold hits his cheek. "Didn't you forget something?"

It was a glass of cold water.

Right, that's why he went down in the first place. Rei accepted the glass, and together they made their way back up to their bedroom.

"I hope my father isn't keeping surveillance on us."

"You think your pops sent that guy? Nah, isn't that too low level even for him?"

Rei shook his head. "Not that. He might recruit you with how scary you looked tonight."
