This is "Reign Upon Sonrise." After learning of my biological father's suicide, I spent the next 5 years on this meditative journey. Consisting of 49 piece that surrounded the suicide note I painted for my father, the note he never left, this image doesn't even capture half of this full creative reflection.

"Reign Upon Sonrise" was a 5 year meditative project I did that was a deep reflection into metal health. In all, there were 50 pieces. Today, I only have 2 remaining.
Without your support, this dream cannot continue. Don't forget to support the artists you love.

"Patrichorus" is 1 of only 2 pieces I have available from my meditative mega-project, "Reign Upon Sonrise." I have several collections that are down to just a couple remaining pieces. None of those collections are ever likely to have future additions.
Let me know how I can help put some art on your walls 😁

The primarily blue painting here, ".38 With A .38 (The Speed Of Eternal Stillness)," is currently on exhibit at Adelman Fine Art in Little Italy. The primarily yellow painting, "Patrichorus," is one of only 2 pieces I have remaining from my mega project, "Reign Upon Sonrise." Both of these pieces dive head first into mental health and mental health awareness. Both deal with themes of suicide and suicide prevention.
All of my works are available, including these two, and I have canvas prints of the blue piece on my shop in a variety of sizes and affordable price points. I also offer free shipping and monthly payments.

"Reign Upon Sonrise" took me 5 years to complete. You see 13 pieces here, but this meditation based project consisted of 49 pieces that surrounded a 50th piece, the suicide note I painted for my father...a note he never left. Though it happened when I was very young, I didn't know the details until I was 28. I spent the next 5 years in deep reflection until I debuted this massive installation in Arts District Liberty Station with the Expressive Arts Institute in the Spring of 2017, at the age of 33 🌈❤️
There are only 2 pieces still available from this special project.

Today marks my mother's Birthday, which means it is a day of celebration. Happy Birthday Mom! It is also the anniversary of my father's suicide, making it a day immense weight. It's a mix of emotions, but certainly a day of feeling a great deal.
I did not learn of my father's story until I was 28 and reconnected with my long lost family. Shortly after, I wrote "Michael's Note," the suicide note my father never left. It was followed by "Reign Upon Sunrise," a 5 year tribute project navigating a spectrum of emotions, thoughts, and experiences...a life that continued after another was lost. It reflects heavily upon they dynamics of relationships, mental health, and my own personal battles that almost let to a similar fate.
My greatest struggles in life have also provided my greatest opportunities...the opportunities to grow, to be more, and at times, to simply survive so that I could make it to another day and share my story with those that are fighting their own battles and struggling to find their voices. My greatest silver lining through everything has been the opportunity to be that for someone else.
Check out my blog story at CariniArts.com for more on this including the transcribed copy of "Michael's Note." Pictured here is the marquee painting from "Reign Upon Sonrise," "Reighbough."

Michael Carini | LEARN MORE
In August 2012, at the age of 28, I was reconnected with the biological family I never knew. At that time, I learned that my father, also named Michael, did not die in a car accident as I had always been told. Rather, I came to find out that he took his own life on my mother’s 21st Birthday, just shortly before I turned a year old. He did not leave a note. Almost 30 years later, in my most personal and emotional creation to date, I wrote that note for my father. Written through our collective heart, eyes, and hand, that piece of our soul is “Michael’s Note.”
“Michael’s Note” was followed by half a decade of critical introspection, reflection, and expression in the form of a visual history paradoxically representing a singular moment, time, and experience as well as momentum, time, and experience in their totality. Completed in the Spring at the age of 33 and given life in conjunction with the Summer Solstice, “Reign Upon Sonrise” is a five year meditative reflection of a simple complexity, or “simplexity.” A 49 canvas polyptych with a myriad of possibilities and experiences, this meditation is a personal and elemental narrative veiled under the umbrella of a fractalized spectrum of sub-narratives called “Reigndrops.” Peering into the human soul with no definitive beginning or end, may you enjoy your journey across the “Reignbough” and discover the enlightenment you seek in the “Reign Upon Sonrise.”
Dedicated to the father I never had the honor and privilege to know-
