chimera ant arc spoilers ig but it actually kills me that colt and shidore never met in canon like you’re telling me colt deserted the ants to raise this child who he hopes through fragments of his memory is his sister given a new chance at life. and he finds out this child is actually the reincarnation of some 25 year old man meanwhile the actual reincarnation of his sister is out there somewhere WITH THEIR MOM so basically just family reunion when

This won second place in the "Love" category. I really like the simplicity of this piece. I never actually drew Shidore along with Reina and Kurt before this so I was quite excited to draw them.

I wanted my love entry to be Komugi and Meruem, but I already used Meruem in another entry. I suddenly had the idea to use sibling love as a prompt. Maybe the reason people mistook my "Memory" entry as my "Love" entry was because they viewed it as Alluka and Killua's relationship.

Somehow I was unrecognizable but not to her.

I’ve shifted, skin hardening from trauma

Was no longer the sweet child she once knew

And yet here I am, in the arms of my mama

Her eyes welling like flowers sprouting with dew.

How did she know it was me?

My face was no longer the same

“My child, my heart jumps in glee

Though changed, don’t be ashamed”

“Mother, how is it that you recognize me at all?

These hands are no longer soft, clawing through hell”

She embraced me still, letting down her walls

I’m kind of mad on colt’s behalf for this...reina and her mama reunited but colt is left with a world-weary adult who he raised for four (?) months and who doesn’t need him anymore. give that man a baby to look after. or send him to his family. I think he needs it
