Luke x percy’s older sister angst/fluff comfort where her nightmares get really really bad and she hasn’t been able to sleep so she lashes out on everyone and distances herself and her and luke really fight but then he comforts her because reader spilled to annabeth and ofc it’s gonna spread hahahah
bummerland — luke castellan
Tumblr media
pairing: luke castellan x fem poseidon!reader
warnings: use of y/n and she/her pronouns, ANGST!!!
a/n: we get the tunnel of love episode tomorrow AND THE PERCABETH HUG SCENE IM TOTALLY NORMAL ABT THIS..
masterlist !
꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱
y/n jolts awake. beads of sweat dripping off her forehead and cheeks. she's surpsied percy hasn't woken up because of her reaction to her nightmares. turning to her left, she sees percy fast asleep.
half-bloods always had nightmares. some campers had it worse than others. tonight y/n could've sworn she had the worst nightmare any half-blood could have.
the nightmares weren't new to the girl. they just started getting worse ever since she got claimed by her father, which was three weeks ago.
y/n wasn't usually the angered type. in percy's words, "she has her moments", but she never was angry at anyone for long periods of time.
since y/n the only older camper in the poseidon cabin, it automatically made her a camp counselor. which might explain why the campers were confused that she didn't show up during sword lessons today. her, luke and clarisse were supposed to teach them today. luke and clarisse managaed to help all the campers, but having y/n there would've made it a hundred times easier.
no one really questioned it, until y/n didn't show up at lunch or dinner that same day. annabeth asked percy about it at lunch, and he guessed she was taking a nap, which wasn't unusual for his sister.
however when luke asked percy for y/n's whereabouts, he didn't know how to answer the hermes boy. percy hasn't seen y/n all day, which only worried both of them.
the next day passed the same way as yesterday. not one camper saw y/n. this made percy more anxious, as well as annabeth. luke made it his mission to find the missing counselor.
luke checked cabin three, and wasn't surprised to only find two empty beds. he then checked the infirmary, the big house (minus the attic), the climbing wall, and near the lake. he ran his fingers through his hair, sighing once he realized y/n was still missing in the camp.
luke was about to go back to his cabin ans call it a night, until his heard a noise coming from inside the woods. it wasn't any sort of monstrous sound, which was the only reason luke followed the noise without a second thought.
he continued to trek through the woods as the noise became louder. he recognized the path was leading him towards the archery range. he can't believe he didn't check the archery range on his own.
once the trees cleared, he saw an empty range. until his eyes landed on y/n shooting arrows at the overused hay bales. luke caught up to her as she was walking to reclaim her arrows, ready to shoot again.
"y/n, we've all been worried about you. none of the campers said they didn't see you. neither did percy," luke grabs her elbow, stopping her movements.
y/n looks at luke as if he had three heads, all with smoke steaming out of their ears. "what are you doing out here?"
luke's surprised by her tone. it seemed rush and cold. he can't remember if he ever heard y/n talked like that.
"i was looking for you! i was so worried about you."
y/n shakes her arm out of luke's grasp and just continues to collect her arrows. "i'm fine luke, really."
luke scoffs, and follows her as she walks back to her bow at the other end of the range. "you wouldn't be avoiding the whole camp for two days, you think that's fine? that's the opposite of fine y/n!"
y/n doesn't respond. she preoccupied herself with loading her bow with a brown arrow provided by the camp.
"what, now you're going to ignore me?" luke's hands were on his hips, watching angrily as y/n continued to ignore his presence. she shot almost three more arrows before he spoke again.
"annabeth told me about you having nightmares," luke's voice was much more soft, but even more concerned.
"why didn't you tell me?" he sounded hurt.
y/n doesn't look towards luke, she starts fiddling with the bow and arrow in her hand. she shook her head, and luke didn't have to see her face to know her bottom lip was quivering.
"i didn't want to bother anyone. annabeth pushed it out of me, and i guess she told you," y/n responded.
luke grabbed the bow and arrow out of y/n's hand and set them on the ground, before he took both of the girl's shoulders in his hands.
"y/n you have to believe me when i tell you, you're not a bother to me. you're not a bother to anyone at camp, i swear."
y/n shrugs luke's hands off her body, and went back to shooting arrows down the range.
luke let out a sound of anger, mixed with stubbornness. "y/n, can you just come back to the camp so people can stop worrying about you, and we can talk about it?"
luke sighs again since he knew he wasn't getting an answer out of the girl.
"gods, y/n, will you stop and just talk with me?"
y/n could tell luke was getting more and more frustrated. she knew she couldn't ignore him forever. she throws the bow on the ground, and discards her arm protection. the girl was now fully facing luke.
"go ahead, talk."
luke starts to explain again how worried he was, and how worried the campers were that no one knew where she was. no one knew why she disappeared, until luke got the information from annabeth, about y/n's reoccurring nightmares.
"all half-bloods have nightmares y/n, you know we all relate to you about that. so why couldn't you just talk to someone about it instead of vanishing?"
y/n tried to respond. her mouth opened, but nothing came out. it's as if her voice box was completely removed. she looked all around, trying to avoid luke's eye contact. she tried to speak once more, but the same croak-y airy sound came out.
"come here," luke simply said, before pulling y/n's arm. he engulfed her in a hug, and she was quick to respond by wrapping her arms around luke's waist. he whispered comforting words in the air, as he held her head to his sternum. he believed she was the perfect height for hugs.
luke heard small cries coming from the girl in his arms, which soon turned to y/n choking on her own sobs. he was fast at calming her down. he did it plenty of times while she was in hermes' cabin, he practically knew her better than she did.
"are you okay?" luke asked once he heard her cries soften, now she was only sniffling. he felt her nod against his chest, and he started to rock their bodies back and forth gently.
"thank you luke," y/n's quiet, "for calming me down, and for finding me."
"like i said, we were all worried about you," luke responded.
y/n pulled away from the hug, "i guess i should go find percy and tell him i'm alive."

Is that my Hair Tie?
42/1610!Miles x F!Reader
Tumblr media
basically everytime miles is over, he take something to remember you by when he’s on prowler duties (more often then not a hair tie)
Not really angst(?) but definitely fluff
Reader knows Miles is the Prowler ‼️
Translate the Spanish line Might do another part to this
Enjoy⭐️
****************************************************
“Miles!! Hey baby, why you over so late?”
(Y/N) was wrapped in a towel seemingly ready to shower as she greeted Miles who was coming in through her window
“Just wanted to spend some time with you before I left for…”
Miles trails off averting your eyes, looking at the feet of your bed frame, while leaning on the window pain in the process.
(Y/N) clicks her tongue in acknowledgement shuffling from her previous spot
“Oh.. lemme shower first, yea?”
“Oh yea go for it” Miles mumbles
Giving Miles a light kiss, she made her way to the bathroom closing the door behind her, few seconds later hearing the water hit the bathtub floor, going down the drain
Miles is left with his thoughts as he scans (Y/N) room, noticing the rhinestone covered headboard
The boxes of Jordan which he bought a while back so they could match
The pile of folded clothes ready to be put away
The way the stuffed animals sit organized on her bed from biggest to smallest
And the jewelry pieces on their respected hangers on her vanity
Out of all of these extravagant things Miles takes particular interest in a hair tie.
A spiral hair tie, the colors of purple and pink melting into 1 with a detachable heart charm
Pushing off the window pane, Miles makes his way to the desk with the Hair tie, carefully grabbing it and slipping it on his wrist which is now dangling in front of his face admiring it
Only breaking out of this trance when he heard the running water shut off, he quickly took a seat on (Y/N) bed
Not long after she comes out of the bathroom refreshed and her nightwear now making her way over to Miles
Taking a seat next Miles, embracing in a tight warm and heartfelt hug
“How long”
“What?”
“How long are you gonna be gone for?”
“..3 days max”
“I’ll miss you oka?”
“Y yo mucho más”
“Estoy enserio Miles, quiero que te cuides”
“I will ma, when have I ever not came back”
“Not presently”
“And never will”
Miles ended the conversation by pressing a kiss to (Y/N) lips, urging her to take comfort in her bed, slipping in with her.
(Y/N) wraps her arms around his torso pressing her forehead against his chest making sure to not let go.
Holding him till the morning.
Till he had to leave.
Till…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*3 days later, Miles came back from his duties as vigilante, and here we have Him and (Y/N) cuddling as soon as she cooked him to eat, now they are in each other embrace on the verge on sleeping*
“Hey Miles”
“Yea..?”
“Is that my hair tie?”
“No…”
“It totally is isn’t it, so you had it the whole time I was looking for it”
“…”
“No fake sleeping you faker” (Y/N) said poking at his face
“Not as fake as that stuffed rabbit you got there” he’s says opening one eye
“Your gotta be nice to mister hopps”
“You named it…”
“Duhh”

Hi- it's my first time ever requesting so sorry if it's hard to understand-
Could you please write a fic where the reader is somehow allowed to bring an ipod because it helps them calm down. When they reach Sebastian he just hears the music through the earphones which is something that he used to listen to before going under water-.
And it could be fluff or some ?
I'm sorry if this comes off weird but I always struggle when it comes to explaining my ideas 😭 (also English is not my first language ಥ‿ಥ)
Hope you have a nice day/evening/night when you read this!
(Hey! No worries! Don’t worry, I think I’ve got the idea and I totally get not knowing how to explain stuff. Huh, perhaps it’s luck that they managed to sneak or even snag an ipod off of a guardsman’s body. That seems like the most probable as I doubt Urbanshade would let a prisoner bring that in. But then again, it’s not a weapon. It doesn’t exactly fit in the criteria of detonating the PDG.)
(Also lol peek the new layout color as I went through Pressure’s badges. Found a neat badge with Sebastian ans its title referencing MatPat!)
NOTES: Sebastian Solace x GN!Reader / You loot a dead body / Near-death experience and actual death later (not detailed) / Reader has Sebastian’s document, but nothing too specific is mentioned / Angst if you squint at the end / At one point I was looking at Pandemonium’s document and the app closed me out without saving

Dying and coming back to life had its ups and downs. One thing you’re not too sure of is how much time exactly passes as every experience back to where you started always has surprises. Maybe you go back in time, but that wouldn’t make sense as a certain someone remembers you every time. Hell, he’s even there to discuss your death with you in whatever world you’re brought to after dying. Maybe your body is just brought back to before you entered the submarine to Hadal Blacksite. That could make sense if it weren’t for the increased security. Urbanshade had to have noticed by now that one of their prisoners seems to be able to cheat death itself.
That doesn’t matter right now, you keep reminding yourself. As long as they’re still unaware.
Strangely enough, in one of your lives, you encountered a dead guardsman. It startled you at first, but tried to continue on and resist the urge to see if he had anything on him. That was until you heard music coming from him. You can’t fight the urge anymore as you approached him and searched where it was coming from. An ipod that was still functional, and earphones. Strange.
You looked around and checked each corner of the room, trying to see if there were any cameras. Surely they won’t mind if you picked this up, right? It’s not a weapon, so they have no reason to trigger the detonation. Right? It’s not like they saw you pick it up.
This guardsman definitely had a good taste in music, although a bit random. You’ll shuffle it for now and see where it’ll go from there. You pop one earphone on and try your best to hide it from sight when you do eventually run into cameras.
Once you opened the next door, you suddenly hear distant screaming. You quickly ran and hid in a locker, putting on the other earphone and turning the volume all the way up. You hoped it was enough to drown out the sound of the angler passing by. The screams the variants emit often left your ears ringing, the pink one especially since there was no warning prior to it approaching. That one’s scream was louder than the others and it never failed to instill so much fear in you that you briefly forget to hide in a locker.
Once the angler passes and knocks out the lights, you slowly crawl out of the locker. The ipod and earphones were, surprisingly, still functional. You remember reading their document during one of your deaths. All of the anglers emit some sort of EMP equivalent that results in short circuiting all electronics, sometimes malfunctioning too. So why were these still operational?
You shake your head, trying to not question it. It’s better not to anyway.
While the anglers screams were too loud, the silence they create once they pass is also nerve wracking. You took one earphone off and pulled out your flashlight to ease yourself a bit, but quickly shine it away once you hear growling and a glowing white face appears.
It was standing right next to the door. Worst of all, you need a keycard. You don’t have a code breacher on you. You kept the light lowered so you know where you’re stepping as you walk around trying to find where the keycard is. Not in this drawer, not in here either, no… It’s on a table next to a computer.
You came back to the door and can faintly see the creature still standing there. Despite the music playing, you couldn’t calm down. Still, you pushed yourself to approach the door and get out. The face the creature created stares down at you as you got a little too close, but then it suddenly eyes the keycard in your hand and sees where exactly you’re reaching. The face disappears, and so do they as the door opens.
You let out a sigh of relief and carry on to the next room. There were some batteries in a drawer. Your flashlight was likely to run out of juice soon. That was a relatively normal room, so you moved onto the next one. The vent door off to the side tips over and you can faintly hear his voice.
“Psst! In here,”
You smile and crawl through the vent to meet up with a familiar friendly face.
“Welcome back, friend,” he greets with a smile.
You waved at him as you stood up. Your eyes instantly lock onto the medical kit as that’s something you are in need of, and you’ll still have some data to spare. What else do you need… He has a lantern, code breacher, hand-cranked flashlight… You don’t hear the thumping noise of something else crawling through the vent and you don’t realize it until-
“HEY!!” Sebastian yelled.
You turned around just as the wall dweller opened its jaw, but it didn’t get a chance to do anything as Sebastian punched it into the wall. You yelped and fell back, pushing yourself closer to the table beside him. Sebastian had only beat it enough until it crawled away through the vent. It probably won’t get very far.
He turns to you, a little surprised to see you so frightened, “You really gotta start watching your own back. I’m not punching every one of those things for you,”
“S-Sorry, I was a bit distracted…” You stand up.
“I’m surprised you managed to get this far if you couldn’t hear that thing coming,”
You looked down, knowing exactly why you didn’t hear it. The music is still playing, and the one earphone you had on was blocking the sound of the wall dweller approaching. You were a bit shaken up, but the music does calm you down a bit. Sebastian watches you as you walk over to his tail to try and make a final decision, but he swears he hears something.
“What is that sound…?” He looks around for a moment before his eyes land on you, still trying to choose what to buy. He spots something in your ear and leans down, “Hey, what’s that you got there?”
You turn to him as he suddenly leans closer to you, his head right next to where the earphone is.
“I know that song. Is that Metallica?”
You stare up at him in shock, “You know Metallica?”
“Well obviously, you know I was just a regular human, right? You have my document for god’s sake,” he retorts, “How’d you even get an ipod of all things in here?”
“Oh, it’s not mine. I got it from a dead guardsman,”
Sebastian gives you a suspicious look, “I thought Urbanshade doesn’t allow their prisoners to loot dead bodies, armed ones at that. You could end up dead, but seeing as they haven’t detonated your diving gear yet, I’m guessing you weren’t spotted,”
“I guess not. There wasn’t a camera where I got this from, and I made sure to hide it from the cameras in the other rooms,”
“I’m curious to see just how far you’ll get with this thing. You couldn’t even hear the wall dweller approaching,” he crosses his arms, “I’m not sure if you’re bold or just stupid. Are you sure this risk is worth it?”
You can’t deny that he’s got a point. It gets in the way of hearing things you NEED to hear. Still, music brings you comfort so that’s what you tell him. You’ll only have both on when an angler is coming to block out their scream as they pass.
“Mhmm, and what will you do about Z-367? You know, the one they named Pandemonium? What then?”
Shit, he’s actually got you cornered there. You just sighed knowing full well you can’t just sit that one out and wait for it to pass, “Then I’ll just have to deal with it the usual way. I can still hear them through the music,”
Sebastian glares at you for a minute before he sighs, “Jeez, you really want to keep that thing on you, huh? Alright, I’m not stopping you. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you though,”
You smiled, “I’ll just say I knew what I was getting myself into and I’ll face the consequences,”
“Oh look at that, someone is finally taking responsibility for their own actions. It’s shocking how that’s so rare nowadays,”
You manage to pick up on his sarcastic tone and laughed. It was always fun talking with him. By the end of it, you picked up the code breacher with the medical kit he had, as well as a few batteries since you still had more data.
Tumblr media
Upon your next unfortunate death, you realized your still have the ipod and earphones. Both were still fully functional, somehow, but you weren’t complaining. You quickly went into the submarine and waited for a few minutes before taking it out to actually scroll through the list of songs. You didn’t exactly pay attention to what was being played while you were there. Soon enough, you did find songs from Metallica which reminded you of the conversation you had with Sebastian.
You never thought he’d be into that kind of music. Maybe you’ll lend the ipod to him when you meet up with him in his shop again. Surely the repeated morse code on that radio has gotten old by now. You doubt you’ll last long without it though, but Sebastian wasn’t wrong when he said it hinders your ability to even hear the wall dwellers. Well, it wouldn’t hurt to give it up for a bit.
Once you managed to find Sebastian’s hideout again, you took off both earphones as you approached him, “Hey, you wanna hold onto this for me?”
You hold up the ipod and Sebastian gives you an odd look, “And you want to give this to me because?”
“I thought about what you said last time. I mean, I’ve made it pretty far without this before, so I don’t think I need it that much,”
He continues to stare at you before taking it from your hands. He inspects it, scrolling through the list of songs on it.
“Wow some of these suck,”
“I think some are pretty good,” you shrugged. You walked over to his tail to see what he has now, “Oh finally, a flashlight,”
Sebastian lowers the ipod and turns to you with a smirk, holding out his third limb, “Better pay up,”
“Yeah yeah, I know,”
Before you left, you left the earphones with him as well. It won’t do much good for you if it’s not gonna block out sound anyway, and it’s not like Sebastian will have much use of it either.
Some time has passed since you left the ipod with him. Sebastian had set it down on the desk next to him as music is being played. He remembers doing college work while listening to music all those years ago. Part of him now understands why you said it comforts you. Maybe it even allowed you to focus as it did with him.
Until you come back to eventually bring it along with you again, he’ll listen to the songs on the list for hours.

"BAKU-CHAN!"〃
Katsuki x fem!reader
Part 1/?
A bit ooc? Some angst but mostly fluff,, I think most of us need it right now
Notes; not proof read, perchance a bit self indulgent...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Who are you?"
Those were words Katsuki Bakugou thought he would never hear. Nonetheless, from a girl hogging up the swings!
"I-I told you yesterday! Do you have short-term memory or something!?"
"That's a long name..."
"You idiot! My name is Katsuki Bakugou, and you better remember it this time! When I'm number one, you'll have no choice!" The boy whose name you had forgotten spoke with such pride and confidence it made you feel a little small. How can someone so little have such big goals?
You wanted to be a hero, too. You were always told your quirk wasn't suited for it, though. But still, you had some hope, and you'd settle for being in the top 100s! Anything at all, really. But this boy was yammering on about being at the total top.
"Kaachan!" A smaller voice interrupted your train of thought and the blonde before you groaned. "Ignore him, he's not gonna be anything!" He said confidently which made the other boy falter slightly.
"Why?" You blinked.
"Hah? Are you new here or something?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"He's quirkless, that's why!" The boy huffed, taking another step towards the sandbox. "Now, move over, idiot!"
You narrow your eyes in thought, trying to recall what just happened. You weren't all that interested until he brought up heroes.
"It's okay. I'm not scared of cooties anymore cause my mama said they aren't real. We can play together, Baku-chan."
Katsuki's eye twitched as he watched you scoot over in the sandbox and look up at him expectantly.
"W-What!?"
"Cooties aren't real–"
"No! What did you call me!?" He interrupted.
"Baku-chan."
"That's not my name! Kat-su-ki Ba-ku-gou!" He exclaimed, speaking slowly as if teaching a newborn how to said their first word. Except you just stared up at him with those big eyes.
"But he called you Kaachan." You deadpanned, pointing to the greenette behind him who flinched.
"But he's a loser and doesn't matter!"
"Sorry, Baku-chan."
(҂` ロ ´) ... ( ՞ -՞ )
You got on Katsuki's last, first, and fifth nerve. Like Deku, you followed him around like a damn dog. Scratch that—a koala. Wherever he was, you were behind him and clinging onto his shirt.
It took you three weeks to remember his actual name.
While all the girls avoided the boys, him especially, it seemed like you were glued to him the second your eyes met.
Which is why he can't have you following that damn Deku around, too! You were his fan, after all!
"Baku-chan? Where are we going?"
"Somewhere Deku is too scared to go." Katsuki replied with a grumble, tightening his grip on your hand. Since Deku followed him around all the time, his loserness was rubbing off on you!
Translation; you and Deku were becoming friends.
Sitting on a log, Katsuki finally let go of your hand. You looked around for the first time before looking back down at him and taking a seat next to him. "Back up, would you?" Katsuki grumbled, scooting over.
Of course, you immediately scooted right back to his side. "Baku-chan," you spoke up. "How come you don't like Deku?"
The boy scoffed. "Isn't it obvious? He's a quirkless nobody!"
"Well, yeah. But you don't have to be mean about it."
"Huh? Why not!? Someone has to put him in place!"
"....someone needs to put you in your place..." you muttered, but Katsuki heard you. He felt his eye twitch.
"Haaaah!? You wanna die!? You're lucky I'm letting you be my sidekick! You know how many losers wanna be my sidekick!?" He exclaimed, sparks crackling explosions to life in his palms.
"No, I dont."
"Well, there's tons! And you're lucky, damnit!"
"Sure I am..."
( 〃 ..) .... ヽ(`▽´)ノ
You were awkward. Like a wet paper bag.
That's what Katsuki says, anyway.
"Baku-chan, I don't get it still." You frown, staring down at the homework. Despite being held hostage by an villian, Katsuki was determined to say it meant nothing and Tutor you. Though, he was too distracted to teach properly—more distracted than you.
He was sure if your skull cracked open and he looked inside, there would be nothing but clouds and that sweet pudding junk you ate all the time.
By the time you had came onto the scene, Katsuki didn't know if he should be mad or relieved.
You tried dragging Deku away (which wasn't particularly hard considering you were only a bit taller than him.)
Still, the fact you ran in pissed him off. He wasn't sure why.
"Shut it, Koko."
"Koko?"
"I can't get rid of you." The boy deadpanned before groaning. "That's enough, not my fault you're dumb as a rock. Can't have my sidekick stupid, though... so come back tomorrow so you don't fail on me." Katsuki grumbled, avoiding eye contact with you. You frowned slightly before beginning to pack up your things.
"(Name)? You're leaving so early?"
Katsuki's mother, Mitsuki You met her when Katsuki hit you for calling him Baku-chan infront of the middle schoolers. She hit him way harder.
Katsuki was convinced she loved you more than him.
"Oh, yeah." You nodded. "Baku-chan," you turned to Katsuki as you stood up.
"I'm walking with Deku tomorrow."
While Mitsuki smiled at the mention of the boy and began to ramble a bit, Katsuki froze. You smiled, waving them goodbye and walked home.
The next day, Katsuki avoided you.
And the day after that, and the day after that.
Soon enough, you found yourself alone with Deku.
You weren't mean to him, but it was clear you thought he was completely delusional for wanting to be a hero.
When your mom had found out Deku lived nearby, she practically demanded that you walk with him to school. She can't have her baby traveling so far to walk with a delinquent every day when there's a sweet normal boy in the next complex!
And so she unknowingly crushed your friendship with Katsuki.
"Baku-chan."
"Baku-chan?"
"Baku-chan!"
"Baku-chaaaannn!!!"
Katsuki hasn't felt his eye twitch so much.
Every damn day of summer, you knocked on his door.
You found yourself alone more than ever.
Deku suddenly had a busy schedule, and most of your friends just teased you the whole time you hung out.
Katsuki was bitter. It's always Deku. Deku, who has everything he doesn't despite being a nobody. Katsuki couldn't understand it.
Soon enough, summer went by, and you and Katsuki were still not on talking terms. Anytime he came home to you talking with Mitsuki in the living room (she heard you shouting for him and let you in), he would walk to his room without a second glance.
"(Name)? You've been frowning a lot recently." Deku spoke up with a worried frown of his own. "Are you worried about the exams?"
"No. I'm okay, Izuku. I don't care that much about that stuff–"
Deku shut down, sputtering as he stared at you with his mouth agape. You called him Izuku.
"A-Are you sure you're okay!?"
"I just said I was. Are you okay?"
"I'm okay!" He nodded quickly.
"Baku-chan is mad at me. And im not sure why." You mumbled after some silence, staring at the waters of the beach. It's been much cleaner lately. Deku snapped out of his shock, frowning again as you spoke.
"Well... it started when you started talking to me again. A-And we became friends...–"
"Huh. I thought we were always friends?" You deadpanned, looking over to him. He frantically waved his hands around, trying to explain himself, but you subconsciously tuned him out. He paused, sweating nearvously. The way you were looking at him made it seem like you were mad at him, but in reality you were in the clouds again, trying to clear them up as the cogs started turning.
.
.
.
"I dont get it."
And that was all you said for the rest of the night.
You never called him Izuku after that.
(。 ˊᯅˋ ) ... (҂` - ´)
You ended up the general studies. Not surprising, but at least you were smart enough to get in.
You had a heart attack every time Deku texted you about a villain attack. Naturally, the two of you grew close. That only fueled Katsuki's hatred for the freckled boy.
Katsuki couldn't stand it at first—being able to walk into school. Without you. It felt weird. He'd look behind his back to look for that little tug of yours, but there was nothing there. He thought about replying to your texts, your bugging, your loud ass yelling. He'd probably just yell and slam the door anyway.
It felt like it had been forever since he'd seen you.
So, during a break in the sports festival, seeing you assaulting a vending machine wasn't exactly what he was expecting. Mumbling curses as you grabbed the machine by its sides, shutting your eyes and shaking it roughly. You were trying to get that sweet ass pudding junk.
Before he thought about it, he approached and shoved you to the side. You blinked, looking over to him as he set off a few explosions and grabbed the small cup of pudding. There was a long silence as he shoved the cup in front of your chest.
.
.
.
"...who are you?"
You cheeky bastard.
Katsuki felt that familiar irritation bubble up. He knew you were just messing with him... atleast he hoped so.
"Take your sugary shit. Maybe if you cut down on this junk, you could have made it into the hero course. I knew you were below me, but this is just sad." He scoffed.
You didn't argue, taking the cup with a smile. "Okay."
"Okay? Is that how you thank people?"
"No. Just you—you ignored me so I'm not thankful." ((.❛ ᴗ ❛.))
Katsuki's eye twitched again as he clenched his fist. "Well im not ignoring you now, am I!?"
"Well... not now."

[Prologue] [chapter 2]
Tumblr media
Light infiltrated your senses, invading your shut eyes as you heard voices around you, the sounds distant at first, but slowly heightening as you came to. Opening them, the fluorescent lights stunned you, your hand instinctively finding its way to the front of your face. You pulled it away, the sight so shocking that you figured you were in hell, punished to be what you had failed to protect.
You were blue, a Na’vi, adorned in hospital gowns with wires attached all over your body.
You felt sharp pains in your head and pangs in your heart, endless memories flooding your mind in swarms, the happiness, the pain, the loss...you remembered it all as you took in your surroundings.
You got up instantly, pulling off the wires as you searched around, your vision becoming less blurry as you continued to blink.
You looked for Grace first before you realized she was gone, murdered by your father, the agony once cauterized now festering into an open wound as the memory sunk stones in your heart. You were looking around for Jake, Norm and, Trudy, but they were nowhere to be found. You were alone, heartbroken, and confused.
“Whoo! Looks like the baby’s awake!” You heard from behind the door, other blue figures walking in wearing full camo, all of them strutting over to you.
In your newly awakened shock, you had a delayed reaction to your body just waking up, your muscles suddenly feeling like jelly as you kept yourself steady on the bed with your hands. As everyone filed in, you hoped that at least one of them would be Jake, but you sunk your shoulders as you realized who they were.
Wainfleet, Warren, Zdinarsk, and Fike. They were the soldiers you grew up training with, all cut from the same obnoxious and arrogant rock.
Wainfleet shook your shoulders, laughing loudly as he looked at your expression, your teeth gritted as you did your best to hide how much you despised all of them, “Hey y/n, why so blue?”
The rest of them laughed aloud with him, and you rolled your eyes, pushing him off you aggressively, which only made him erupt with more laughter, “Still as feisty as ever.” Wainfleet sighed.
Lagging behind, one last person walked through the door, and unlike the rest of the regiment, he was wearing hospital gowns like you were. When he turned toward you, you recognized him right away.
It was Quaritch, your father, the man you owed your life to when you were human.
But it wasn’t really him.
He had become his worst nightmare and in seeing him, you were convinced that you really had been damned to hell. He was Na’vi too and a real sight for sore eyes, his movements awkward and almost repulsed as he approached, like he wanted to jump out of his own skin. The only comfort that he seemed to take refuge in was seeing you, his daughter, his prodigy.
He hugged you and for the first time, he smiled. “My little girl, real nice to see you.”
You hardly shared the same sentiment, the comfort you should have felt replaced by torment and pain. Your memories with your father were consumed by both, and in that moment, that was all you could feel. It was rare for him to ever hug you like this. You never felt any warmth from his embraces, just a temporary sense of relief that you had done something right, that you didn’t disappoint him. You had endured it all your life, desperately clinging to the good things he did, your gratefulness to him for saving you from a worthless life overwhelming any rational thought.
Your father seemed to be the one savoring the feeling of holding you, the roles unexpectedly reversed as he, for the first time in his life, clung to you, like you were the only tether to who he once was.
Before, you would have considered yourself lucky, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and savoring that feeling. But as you sat on the bed, you kept your arms at your sides and your eyes glued to the ceiling, biting your cheek as you fought every urge to give into your anger, to push him off you and make him pay for what he did to Grace.
You took a deep breath in, relaxing as you faced forward again, “I’d be stupid to believe that we were brought back for a simple reunion. Why are we here? And how are we avatars?” You had a firm tone, almost emotionless besides your lifted syllable at the end to indicate your question.
Quaritch let go of you, a proud, satisfied grin on his face as he pulled back, “Perceptive as always.”
He crossed his arms, “All of us got our ticket punched the last time we were on Pandora, and for the sins of our past we have been brought back to life in the form of our enemy to complete one simple task.”
“What’s the mission?” You remained stoic, mirroring your father as you crossed your arms.
He chuckled lightly, his tone suddenly confident as his eyes reflected his renewed sense of purpose, “We’ve been ordered to eliminate the leader of the Na’vi insurgency known as Toruk Makto.”
The emotion you held in burst out in the surprise you showed in your widened eyes. Unfolding your arms, you felt a flit of relief settle in your heart, “Jake’s alive?”
He turned his head, the rest of your regiment whooping with excitement, their smirks irradiating a sinister aura as they gathered around your father.
“That’s right, y/n. Sully’s alive.” Your father gloated, his eyes ferocious with vengeance, “And we’re gonna kill him.”
He gave you no chance to protest, walking out with the rest of the regiment as he pointed to the clothes beside you, “Now, go on and get dressed. We got an hour before Pandora insertion.”
You grabbed the clothes from the table, your hands tightening around them and your breathing ragged as you could feel your frustrations finally spill out.
You had been born again, but at what cost?
The same people that sent you to Pandora were the same people that made an unholy decision, reaching into the past and plucking you out of the comfort of death just to reclaim the glory they still believed was theirs.
When you had awoken, you had figured you had damned yourself for all eternity, and in learning about your new mission, you were right. You were thrust back into your own nightmare, a horrible repeat of the life you had once known, your orders betraying what you had in your heart, just like it did before.
You wanted no part in reclaiming glory and rewriting your father’s failure, but it was the only reason why your heart was even beating. Your mind was only just catching up on your grief, the loss so fresh and so vivid that you felt guilty to have that heartbeat.
You were the Colonel’s daughter.
Why did you deserve to live when Grace was dead? Why did you get a second chance at life when your only reason for breathing was to destroy Jake?
Everything about your life now was born from selfishness, the selfishness of Sky People that had no respect for philosophies regarding life and wholly disregarded the notions that dead things should stay dead.
You didn’t know what happened to Trudy or Norm, but you naturally thought the worst, and that made your mere existence even more unbearable. You weren’t sure how long it had been since you died, but for you, you never felt that time pass, never felt the pain of being gone from those you love. It felt cruel to be alive, the torment of it aching you as you thought of how Jake must have felt when you died and how much it must have hurt.
You looked up, your eyes catching a glimpse of your reflection in the metal lining of the walls. You touched your face lightly as you stared, so bewildered by how you looked. You weren’t the old you anymore, only the shell of your humanity in the semblance of your features.
And for the first time since you woke, you smiled, “If only Grace could see me now.” You mumbled to yourself, the sadness of losing her still lingering behind the calm that settled over you at having thought about her.
You got up, finally deciding to change out of your gowns, and you could have sworn you heard Grace’s voice in the back of your mind, telling you what she always loved to tell you, how you were smarter than you let yourself believe and how you had a heart bigger than the soldiers you were surrounded by.
You took a look at yourself again, those words that felt as if they were just spoken yesterday shrouded over you. It felt unfair to be alive, and that guilt was deep inside of you, but you pushed that feeling aside as your own sense of purpose triumphed over it.
Whatever it took, whatever you needed to do, you were going to save what was left of your family.
You were going to save Jake.
~
It was two minutes until Pandora insertion, your breather on as you waited for your descent onto the planet. You were quiet, keeping to yourself as you rode along with everyone else, absorbing every detail of the plans until you could figure out the best way to help Jake.
When you had finally reached the ground, the hatch opened and getting up, you walked out, expecting to find yourself surrounded by the forest you loved so much.
Pulling your breather off though, your smile dropped, your eyes unwilling to process the inconceivable truth. In front of you was the reckoning of humanity in full form, its destructive touch creating an unhallowed grave of the once-rich earth below it. Flashbacks filled your mind as you remembered your early life on earth, the desecration of the forest mirroring the desolation that you had escaped when you left for Pandora. Sky People had killed their Mother, holding onto the little that she could provide before finally destroying Her integrity.
Back then, Selfridge was all about the money, and while greed was still very much a part of the new frontier you had found yourself in, humanity’s motives had suddenly become desperate for something else--a new home.
The air no longer held a healthy vigor, a gray density taking its place and expelling a putrid, metallic smell that filled your nose. You were in horrid disbelief, the sight in front of you giving reason to the smell as you rubbed your eyes, still not wanting to believe that the damnation in front of you was real. You were witnessing an entire infestation, complete with insect-shaped machina, their hardware programmed to build the towers and towers of future buildings that would make up what would be known as Bridgehead City.
Behind you, you felt slight relief to see that forest still remained in the distance, but with how quickly the machina bugs were building, it was only inevitable that their work would continue southward and beyond. The General in charge, General Ardmore, although satisfied with the progress that they had made in a year, was still taking losses thanks to Jake’s raids, his forces the only reason that the land had not been fully conquered.
You were looking at the footage from his recent raid, Ardmore’s hands on her hips as she explained the situation, “Jake’s raids are becoming bolder and more frequent.”
Putting a hand on your chin, you let out a weak chuckle, “Looks like Sully’s giving you a run for your money.”
Wainfleet nudged you in the ribs with a disapproving look, but you shoved him away, crossing your arms, “I’m only speaking the truth. He was a Marine, guys. I’m not surprised. He knows exactly how you all think.” Your tone was condescending as you glared at General Ardmore, who seemed to only tolerate your consistent interruptions.
She glared back at you, “Are you questioning my methods, Lieutenant?”
Quaritch was taken aback, putting a hand up to your chest, to stop you from continuing. You looked at your father and defiantly you spoke again. “I am questioning your methods, General. You may have been able to tame this frontier in a year with your bionic bugs, but these...savages with their bows and arrows still have you all by the balls.”
She scoffed, “I’d watch that tone, Lieutenant,” She paused as you kept your glare on her, and she turned, another holographic projection of the Hallelujah Mountains emerged, “Although, what you said does hold some truth. We’ve come to believe that he’s holed up somewhere in these mountains within one of its cave systems, but every time we go up there, we take losses. Can’t be more than ten minutes in enemy airspace without stirring up the hornets’ nest.”
You watched as helicopters were swarmed with hoards of ikran, and you were instantly fascinated, your mind querying the possibility of such a hive mind response by animals, “How odd. They never used to do that before.”
“Our only hope of finding Jake’s base is you guys. We think that you will be perceived as indigenous and won’t trigger the immune response, but that’s only our theory.” General Ardmore
“And how might we test that theory?” You asked, crossing your arms.
Tight-lipped, she sucked a breath in, “The hard way.”
Quaritch snickered, a cocky smirk on his face, “Outstanding.”
“Good. No time to waste. Let’s fly.” She replied with a pleased grin.
Ardmore ordered for a helicopter to be prepped and escorted you toward the hangar. When you entered it, the pilot was just getting into the helicopter and you instantly thought of Trudy, your best friend who loved to raid the caf late at night with you and begged you to fly with her all those years ago.
Quaritch interrupted your thoughts as he pulled you back, “What’s wrong with you? You don’t talk to your superiors like that again, you understand me?”
Reluctantly you nodded, “Yes sir. I understand.”
“You better. Now get in.” He let go of your arm, motioning for you to enter the helicopter.
Wainfleet had a dumb smile on his face, asking curiously, “Where we headed first, Colonel?”
“Where it all started.” He replied, his eyes lighting up with his inspired rage, “W
Touching down on one of the mountains, a stream of nostalgia flowed through you as your mind replayed the first day you had ever landed there with Trudy. Site 26 was only a couple meters away, but each step was like a remnant of the past, scenes flashing in front of you as if you were only there yesterday.
You suddenly felt like you were home once again.
The forest had grown so much, the plant life around you like a warm blanket as the trees enveloped your figure everywhere you went. The soft earth squished down as you took a step while the intertwining branches and brambles gave you a hearty challenge as you maneuvered. Your ears twitched at the range of sounds, some delicate and others obvious, those ones keeping the rest of your crew on edge, their guns readied pointedly in every direction.
You were merely keeping protocol, not planning on shooting anything as you trudged carefully through the forest. Even with all that you had learned about Jake, you still had no plan. Any hope you had of going out to find him alone was futile, knowing that Quaritch would notice your absence instantly.
Approaching Site 26, Wainfleet took his place beside your father, joining him as they both stepped into the clearing. You hesitated, yet to brush past the infiltrating brush as the gaps in the leaves gave you a skewed view of the shack, which had clearly been abandoned, any sign of life nonexistent.
You could hear slight rustling in the trees, the movement calculated and quick. Craning your neck, you looked upward, catching an unmistakable shimmer of blue as you watched the figure of a young man maneuver behind a thicket of green foliage above.
There was no use in hiding, you had already seen him and in his boldness, he brushed the leaves away, staring down at you with his bow already drawn back in his hand, and behind him was a younger girl, the side of her face only visible to you.
As he continued to look at you, you put your gun down, your figure still as you squinted up at him, his face holding so much familiarity to you that you fell silent.
He was unusually hesitant to kill you, convincing himself that he was only being strategic, but truthfully, he just thought you were pretty, unable to contain a  flush in his face. The younger girl he was with, looked up at him, her eyebrows furrowed as she watched his odd behavior. He looked hardly older than you, but you still couldn’t figure out who he was, and you knew that the longer they were there, the more danger they were in.
You put your hands up, whispering as you spoke to them in Na’vi, “You both shouldn’t be here. Go back. They’ll kill you if they see you.”
He kept his bowstring taut, conflicted as he faced you, his voice barely audible as he whispered, “Why not let them kill my ass then?”
“I’m not your enemy.” You replied simply.
Quaritch looked over, seeing your figure behind the brush, calling you through his telecom device, “You got eyes on something, y/n?”
Placing your fingers on your own device, the young man drew his bow back again upon instinct, “No sir.” You shook your head, “There’s nothing but trees here.”
Giving them both one last glance, you made your way into the clearing, the young man’s eyes following you as you left, glued to you as you made your way to your father.
“Why are you just staring, Lo’ak? You heard her. We should go.” She pulled at him, trying to get him to budge.
“Not yet Tuk. I have to see what they’re up to.” He warned, glancing at her from the side and shushing her.
Carefully, he advanced forward, climbing to a higher branch with Tuk following behind him quietly. From a higher spot, Lo’ak watched as you, Quaritch, and Wainfleet gathered near your father’s AMP suit.
You were towering over it, your father frowning as his eyes were glued to his own battered skeleton staring back at him like an undead taunt. He put his hand on the arrows sticking out of his body, the two of them embedded into his chest mocking him scornfully too.
You looked down at the AMP suit, a relic of your father’s failure and you noticed his dogtags, pulling them off his skeleton. Your father always wore his, but he always had a copy of yours too. Handing them to him, he took them, his fingers gently brushing the metal and reading the engravings before he put them around his neck.
He looked up at you, “Check the old shack. Wainfleet and I are gonna look around some more.”
You nodded, obeying the order. Pushing away the vines, you hopped in through the broken window. You were too big to stand tall, crouching as your eyes settled on everything, no longer seeing the reality of the wreckage in front of you, but rather the scenes of your memories.
You felt as if you had traveled in time, back to the best days of your old life as you trailed your hands along the pods and going further toward the west-end you stopped, seeing your old bunk. You had decorated the frame with a few pictures and removing them, you wiped the dust away.
You held them up to the peeking light in the shack as you traced your hands over the pictures. One of them was just of you and Jake flipping off the camera, making you laugh to yourself. The other was your whole family, you squished between Jake and Grace, Norm and Trudy standing behind you, all of you grinning widely, your happiness caught in the stillness of one shot.
That was the thing about happiness, it could vanish in an instant, the once pristine shack you had always remembered disappearing as you were faced with the reality of what it actually was. You were in a wreckage, your despair sinking into the broken glass that littered the floor. You hugged the pictures to your chest, savoring the memories before putting them in your pocket.
“Roll out, roll out! We got movement!” An urgent shout rang from outside.
Hopping back out, you followed after Wainfleet and the Colonel, both of them charging toward the forest.
Multiple shots were fired as you navigated through the forest floor and above, you saw the two Na’vi that you had seen earlier, frantically running through the branches and dodging bullets.
Climbing up the tree, you chased after them, hoping to put enough distance between them and the rest of the regiment, “Ardmore was clear about what she wanted. If they know where Sully is, these two are no good to us dead.”
You were pleading on the side of reason and logic, lying through your teeth as you pretended to be on board with a mission that you only saw as immoral insanity.
Quaritch rattled off commands, “Secure the girl! We only need one of them to draw Sully out. Kill the other one if you have to.”
You were catching up to the both of them, impossibly fast as you navigated through the branches, keeping your balance as you hopped from one to another. The younger one looked behind her, her foot suddenly catching on one of the branches and and sending her plummeting to the ground below with a hard thump.
Watching her fall felt like everything was happening in slow motion, your mind teetering on what to do as you continued to run after the young man, watching as Zdinarsk and Warren took her by the arms, dragging her off toward the shack per your father’s orders.
“In pursuit of the Na’vi male. No need for back up.” You quickly let out in your telecom, sprinting toward the young man as he was about to jump off the branch.
You tackled him, his back landing harshly on the bark as he yelled for his sister, “Tuk!”
His eyes immediately went to you, enraged as he hissed at you first, maneuvering himself from under you and pushing you into the bark, his hands pinning your arms down.
“I’m trying to save you both.” You retorted, kicking from underneath him, inflicting a sharp pain in his legs that loosened his grip.
“Like hell you are. I should have killed you when I had the chance.” He wrestled you down again, but you punched him hard, catching him off guard as he placed his finger to his lips, now bloodied.
“Then you’d be dead and so would she.” You spat, grabbing his arm and securing him onto his back once more, your grip on him strong as he fought you off with all his might.
You brought your knife to his neck, forceful as you pushed it against his skin, “I’m not your enemy.” His eyes were fearless, challenging you as you stared into his eyes.
You huffed, lifting your knife from him and striking the bark so close to his ears that you nicked him slightly, blood drawing from where you had caught him.
You put a firm hand on his chest, catching your breath as you calmly talked to him, “I don’t want to fight you, okay?”
He placed his hands on your waist, swiping his leg from underneath yours to press you back into the bark, his eyes narrowed at you, his face smug, “Then what do you want to do? Dance?”
You scoffed at his arrogance, “I want to help you.” You put a finger on his forehead, your teeth gritted, “You need to get it through your thick skull that if I wanted to kill you, you’d be dead already.”
“I need to save my sister.” He was panting, still stubbornly persistent, but in his desperation, reluctantly loosened his aggressive grip on you.
You lifted yourself up too, your face so dangerously close to his as you glared at him. “You have no fear. I see it in your eyes. But that won’t save you or your sister. Even with all that courage, you have no chance against my regiment. Not alone at least.”
Your voice sent goosebumps down his whole body, his cheeks reddening as he tightened his jaw. He scoffed listening to you, his pride too great to acknowledge that truth. You stood up, putting a hand out. He hesitated to take it, and you rolled your eyes, leaning down to pull him up. He blinked at you, the feeling of your hands in his warm and kind, a sudden stark difference to how they felt when you were fighting.
You had a determined expression on your face, your speech hurried as you cautiously looked around you, “I’ll keep your sister safe. You have my word, but I can only think of one person who’ll know how to deal with my regiment.”
He sighed, your hands still intertwined, “Who?”
“Your Olo’eyktan, Jake Sully. My father, Colonel Quaritch, has orders to kill him, and your sister is his best bet at drawing him out.”
The young man’s face paling in shock, his mouth parted in utter disbelief, “Why does your father want to kill mine?”
You withdrew your hand, blinking as your brain could hardly process what he had just said, his reason for feeling so familiar slowly being committed to truth. In your shock, your mouth spewed your thoughts in an almost inaudible whisper, your face paling as you stared at him, “Had I really been dead that long?”
You couldn’t help but stare at him and looking down, you scolded yourself for not noticing his hands before, too encapsulated by that initial familiarity you felt about him.
He tilted his head, squinting at you, “How do you know him?”
“Look I-” You began, but your father’s voice in your ear interrupted you, startling you out of your deep thought, “Y/n, what’s your traffic?”
Putting your hands to your telecom you answered, “Returning to the rally point.”
You grabbed your knife that was stuck in the branch frantically, giving the young man one last look, soft and reassuring even amidst your seriousness, “Don’t worry about your sister. You have to go now! Hurry!”
Without another word, you jumped off the branch, your pocket snagging on it and sending the photos you had put in them flying into the air. The young man caught them in his hands, and seeing you, he was taken aback. He had seen your face before, but as he searched his mind, he found nothing to satisfy your mystery. Taking a deep breath, he cleared his head, pocketing the photos as he ran in the opposite direction of the shack, calling his ikran and darting away back to base.
When you had arrived at the shack, Tuk was bound to a nearby tree branch while Fike held her by her hair, ignoring her squirms as she tried to keep her cries silent.
Quaritch walked over to you with a satisfied grin, patting you on the shoulder, “We got a prisoner thanks to you, but you were gone a while. That savage didn’t give you a hard time, did he?”
“No, sir. I let him go.” You responded simply.
“You what?” Quaritch yelled at you, furious.
“What good would he be dead? Eclipse is almost nearing and we’re in enemy airspace. We don’t have time for a full night-op. If I had let killed him, then who would be the one to tell Jake?” You argued back, your voice poised as you spoke.
“And how can you be so sure they won’t just leave this brat to die?” Wainfleet interjected, the question marking curiosity in everyone.
You glared at Wainfleet, biting your cheek as you hesitated for a moment. You didn’t want to reveal their identities, but with how bloodthirsty they looked, you knew that they were practically begging for any excuse to kill her.
You sighed, “They’re his children.”
Quaritch’s expression turned sinister, his eyes lowering toward Tuk, whose face was scrunched up in fear, “Is that right? This is Sully’s kid?”
You nodded, your father awed by his own dumb luck as he looked up at the sky, laughing, “It must be my lucky day.”
Looking back at you, he put a hand on your shoulder, “I’m calling for extraction. We take her on board if Sully’s late.”
Calling the general through the telecom, he confirmed the helicopter’s arrival and turning toward the clearing, he called out, “Lyle!”
Wainfleet, rushed over to him, your father pointing to the suit, “See if you can pull some data off that suit, and y/n, keep an eye on our prisoner.”
You nodded, walking over to her as your father and Wainfleet disappeared into the clearing once more.
Fike who was snickering as he watched Tuk squirm stopped once you cleared your throat, “Piss off. I’m sure you’re tired of daycare duty.”
Fike let go willingly, “My arm was getting kind of tired. Thanks.” He replied jokingly.
He walked over to the others, talking amongst themselves loudly. You crouched beside the girl, who hissed at you, her pain manifesting itself in her eyes.
You remembered her name as you tried to comfort her, “Tuk, your brother is safe. You don’t need to be scared.”
Hearing her hiss, Zdinarsk was about to stomp over, but you stopped her, covering Tuk’s mouth with your hand. She turned around again, slinging her arm around Fike’s shoulders as she continued the conversation.
When she finally looked away, you took your knife out, tampering with the binds on her hands and loosening the seal, “I sent your brother to find your dad. He was once of the Sky People, but now he is Na’vi. Only he can stop them. Do you understand?”
She couldn’t believe what you were doing, her gaze darting from you to her wrists, you continued to talk soothingly, “When the time is right, you’ll be able to get out of those no problem.”
“Is my dad really coming?” She sniffled, her expression begging for you to be telling the truth.
You met her eyes kindly, “Yes. He is. I made sure that he would. And as long as you’re here with me, you’re safe.”
She relaxed, her expression relieved, a smile adorning her face finally, “Thank you for helping me and Lo’ak.”
You smiled at her warmly, “Ah, so that’s your brother’s name.” She nodded and you couldn’t help but chuckle, remembering your fight on the branches, “I’m y/n.”
“Y/n. That’s pretty. How did you know my name?” Tuk asked innocently.
“I heard Lo’ak call you. Your name is pretty too.”
She blushed, “Thank you.”
She looked at her wrists, “How will I know when the time is right?”
Returning your knife to where it was, you put a hand on her shoulder, “You’ll know, Tuk.” You smiled, “Your dad knows how to make an entrance.”
As you looked at her, you saw more of her parents in her. You had been so focused on the thought of being brought back to life, that you didn’t even bother to notice how long you really had been dead. You felt it first looking at Lo’ak, but it had finally sunk into you.
It felt surreal, and as you sat on the soft, rich soil, you realized that you had probably died somewhere in the forest, your body a relic of the past just like your father’s was.
Quaritch walked out of the brush with a disgruntled expression, his eyes irradiating with an unkempt rage. When you saw him, you stood up, placing yourself between him and Tuk.
"What happened? Why are you-” You stopped as your father pushed past you, kneeling as he put a knife to Tuk’s throat.
He pulled her head back, seething, “Listen here little girl, the only reason why you’re breathing now is because I wanna see your father’s face when I kill you.”
Tuk froze, petrified as fear overtook her body, so stunned that she couldn’t even utter a whimper.
“What the hell are you doing? She’s just a child!” You yelled at your father, something you had never done before, the height of your voice making him lift his grip on her.
Slowly he ascended, his eyes squinted at you in disbelief, “I don’t care if she’s a child. She’s his. Sully’s gonna pay for what he did to us. To our family. Nothing’s over. Not while we’re breathing.”
The hatefulness in his words trapped you as you felt his manic desperation suck the fresh air around you, the world feeling as if it was sinking into abysmal darkness as you couldn’t shield the horror in your eyes.
He took the dogtags you had given him earlier and put them around your neck, “This Na’vi blood’s making you soft. You wear this as a reminder, y/n, a reminder of who you are and where you came from.”
Quaritch stomped off, barking orders to Fike as he left the perimeter, leaving you with those dogtags on your neck, mocking you. You clasped your hands around the dogtags wanting to rip them off your neck and cast them far from you, but you stopped yourself, your shoulders sinking as you sat beside Tuk again.
Your expression matched the darkening sky, the light that cascaded through the trees slowly succumbing to eclipse, and unsure of how to comfort you, Tuk put her hands over yours, your hearts anxious for what was ahead.
~
“Where’s your sister, Lo’ak? Where’s Tuk?” Jake yelled, his tone abrasive as he aggressively took his son by the shoulders, Neytiri behind him, her eyes filled with worry.
His brother Neteyam went to his side while his other sister Kiri took the other, both of them teeming with worry.
Lo’ak brushed them both off as he made eye-contact with his father, the urgency in his voice showing in his hurriedness, “Colonel Quaritch. He took her, but this girl, she’s keeping her safe and she told me to find you.”
Jake squinted at his son, enraged by such nonsense. He raised his voice in anger, “What the hell are you talking about? Quaritch? A-a girl? That’s impossible. Answer the goddamn question, Lo’ak! Where is your sister?”
"Where is Tuk?” Neytiri repeated, the slowness in her voice giving intense warning as she glared at him.
“Tuk is at the shack, but you have to listen to me, dad. They’re all avatars. They were wearing camo and they had guns.”
Jake and Neytiri looked at one another, unwilling to believe such a nightmarish thing. Still, they were sure of one thing. Tuk was gone, and whether they believed what Lo’ak had said, it didn’t matter. They’re daughter’s life was on the line.
“Let’s go get our daughter.” Jake said to his mate, who nodded, calling her ikran, Jake doing the same.
Lo’ak reached the edge of the camp, mounting his ikran and almost darting off before Kiri and Neteyam showed up at his side.
Kiri groaned in annoyance, “What are you doing? You’re gonna get in trouble!”
Neteyam grabbed Lo’ak’s arm, glaring, “Don’t, Lo’ak.”
Lo’ak shoved him off, mounting his ikran, “Just come with me and stop being such a wuss.”
Lo’ak flew off, Neteyam grunting as he followed his brother, cursing at him under his breath.
Eclipse had finally taken over the sky and with it came a steady rainfall, giving Jake and Neytiri an advantage. Neteyam and Lo’ak followed not long after, and in his fury, commanded them to both stay by the ikrans, Neteyam reluctantly obeying, while Lo’ak agreed halfheartedly.
Jake and Neytiri moved in silence, calculating every move with precision. Neytiri took to the trees and Jake covered the ground, his tomahawk firmly ready in his hand. Carefully and silently, Jake disarmed the soldiers guarding the perimeter while Neytiri waited for the opportune moment to strike.
Everyone else took their positions when dusk fell, the usual calm of the forest becoming eerie, the slight movements of the nature surrounding you making the crew jumpy, their guns at the ready, expectant of any attack. Earlier, when no one was looking, you loosened the binds around her wrists, telling her that when the time was right, she would be able to escape easily.
Tuk kept that in mind, her eyes glued to her wrists as she waited that perfect time. The noises around you had been constant, the rain, the occasional rustling of the leaves, certain animal calls. But, a new sound broke in the wind, making your ears twitch. Tuk heard it loud and clear, looking up at you, and you understood what the sound was. It was a call, a signal that Jake had finally come.
After the wake of that new sound, the unmistakeable twang of an arrow burst through the thick air, sending Fike backwards and killing him instantly. Bullets rang through the air from another direction, sending the other soldiers flying to the ground. Tuk, who had figured this was the perfect time to set herself free, squeezed her hands through the binds and ran in the opposite direction of the fire, screaming when she ran into someone, but sinking with relief when she realized it was Lo’ak and Neteyam.
Neteyam took Tuk into his arms, holding her as Lo’ak grabbed her by the shoulder, “Where’s the girl, the girl that helped us?” He asked her.
Tuk pointed opposite his direction, “Y/n! She’s over there!”
Lo’ak, without any hesitation ran toward where Tuk had pointed, carefully maneuvering as he approached.
You and the rest of the soldiers took cover as bullets continued to sweep the forest floor, bullets that you knew could only be coming from Jake.
Quaritch, who had taken cover behind a log, saw the arrow, his voice sinister as he attempted to draw her out. “Is that you Mrs. Sully?”
She instantly recognized the voice, but she kept a poised anger, despite the ghostly chill she felt down her spine, “I will kill you as many times as I have to, demon.”
Quaritch huffed out cockily, reloading his weapon, “Looks like you’ve been busy while I’ve been gone, but don’t worry Mrs. Sully. Pretty soon, you won’t have a family to protect.”
Looking at Warren and Wainfleet, Quaritch gave his signal, the two of them putting their eyes in their scopes to search for Neytiri as he continued to talk, taunting her with unbearable arrogance.
She was stuck where she was, any movement marking her for death as guns in all directions were targeting her. You used your scope to watch your crew intently from the opposite side. Warren’s eyes were fixed on the trees, and you knew he caught sight of her when he stopped, aiming as he pointed his gun at her. You aimed at Warren ready to pull the trigger, but an arrow came flying through the sky behind you, shooting through Warren’s chest and sending his body instantly to the ground.
Wainfleet immediately turned toward the arrow’s origin and you followed his line of sight to find Lo’ak behind you. You stepped in front of the line of fire, attempting to stop Wainfleet, but he had already pulled the trigger. The bullet had landed above your clavicle, a seemingly fatal wound as your body dropped, Lo’ak catching you as you fell.
Wainfleet’s eyes widened, turning his head to the Colonel, who hadn’t seen what had happened, and in his flustered state, Wainfleet backed away slowly,  running to your father’s side.
At that same instant, Quaritch took his shot, gauging where Neytiri was and releasing a detonation of bullets that bursted with deadly fire, the area engulfing in a massive explosion that ruptured the area, pieces of bark flying all throughout the forest like shrapnel. Taking her chance, Neytiri ran, and seeing her movement, Quaritch ordered the crew to follow. Jake followed too, disarming soldiers from where he had taken cover and using the last of his bullets to secure Neytiri’s safety.
You were lying on the ground, Lo’ak breaking your fall as you both tumbled to the grassy floor, “Shit!” He yelled out once he noticed the blood dripping from the wound.
Shifting to your side, he put pressure on it, talking to you gently, “Hey! Stay with me, okay?”
When your mind finally caught up with your body, you let a deep breath in, sitting up abruptly, the boy retracting his hands as your own touched where your wound was, the blood smeared on your fingertips as more poured down your chest.
Quickly, you ripped pieces of your shirt as he watched, eyes blinking in confusion as his face flushed, “What are you doing?”
You almost laughed, a smirk on your face, “Relax, I’m not getting naked.”
Looking around, you took your knife out, slicing off a piece of the bark from a nearby tree, pressing the blade into its flesh as it seeped out sap. You wiped the sap on your wound, feeling the slight sting as Lo’ak watching in confused awe.
Lo’ak let out another question, “Where did you learn how to-”
“I had a great teacher.” You replied, “Yanna bark sap has great healing properties.”
You gave him the pieces of cloth that you tore, “Just wrap the pieces around.”
He took the cloth from you, covering the wound, “Wrap it tightly.” You ordered.
“Ow!” You yelped as he pulled the cloth taut.
“You said to do it tightly.” He mumbled, continuing to wrap your wound.
You took his face in your other hand, brushing his lip with your finger, the bottom of it cracked and the blood crusted from when you punched him, “Sorry about that.”
He could feel his heart beat faster, your fingers still on his lips as he placed his gaze on you. The way he bore his eyes into you made you feel shy, and having never been looked at like that before, you pulled your hand away, but he grabbed it, “It’s fine. It doesn’t hurt.”
Blues, greens, and purples illuminating your shimmering skin as the plants around regained their bioluminescence. Anyone from the outside looking in would have thought you two were sharing affections, the plants livening around you, sanctifying the air you shared, that small, fleeting moment between the two of you peaceful amidst what had just happened. You cast your eyes away from him quickly though, unable to let yourself slip too deep into that peace, the horrible truth of reality striking at it like vipers.
Your ears twitched, voices coming through your telecom, immediately you turned around, craning your neck as you saw the bright, white lights of the extraction helicopter in the distance, snuffing out the glow of the plants. You could hear the general’s urgency as everyone was ordered to return to the helicopter.
“Get down. They might shoot if they see you.” You pulled him into the nearby brush, the tall, hanging leaves giving cover for you and Lo’ak.
As the helicopter neared and neared, its rotors whirred loudly, silencing the rest of the noises and filling your ears. Through the leaves, you saw the helicopter descend just above the tree line, multiple ropes dropping to the ground for extraction. Immediately, Quaritch stopped his crusade, falling back to the rally point, everyone else following after him. Grabbing onto the rope, he counted who he was with, but let go when he realized you weren’t there.
“Y/n? Do you read me? Get back to the rally point.” He commanded in his telecom, his voice desperate.
You were about to put your hands on your telecom but you stopped, your fingers hovering over the buttons. You didn’t expect to hesitate. From the moment you woke up, you felt scorned by the presence of your father. But as you heard his voice calling to you so desperately, what was left of that old you, who loved him so much, found its hold on your heart somehow.
“Y/n? Do you hear me? Get back to the rally point, now!” He yelled out. You could see him in front of you, frantically looking around.
General Ardmore was barking orders too, emotionless, “If she doesn’t come up Colonel. We’ll have to leave and come back tomorrow.”
Despite the whirring of the helicopter, your father’s voice was all you could hear in your head as he continued to scream out your name, the voice that taught you your every move and molded your every thought.
Still, you did nothing, eyes glued to your father in the distance, uncharacteristically panicky as he turned to the rest of his regiment, throwing his hands up, “Where’s my little girl?”
Lo’ak put a hand on your arm, his voice low, “Don’t tell me you’re gonna go back. That guy over there shot you, then left you.”
You looked at him, feeling the guilt within you rise, “Am I not so different from him? From all of them? I don’t belong here on Pandora and I don’t deserve to. If I stay here, I’d still be endangering you all.”
He kept his eyes planted on you, the sadness in your voice reinforcing him to be strong, “And if you go back, then what will happen to you? Will you just obey orders and watch your dad kill mine?” You looked at Lo’ak, your expression still conflicted and too aghast by his boldness to offer any protest. Yet, Lo’ak knew he got through to you, your expression softening as you let him lower your hands gently to the grass.
“Look, you chose to save me and my sister when you could have killed us.” He lifted his hand up, his palm grazing it as he took the earpiece out of your ear, his fingers traveling to your neck as he unclipped your telecom.
You froze, your senses wholly attuned to him as your mind could only focus on his voice, calm and slow as he spoke to you, “You told me yourself. You’re not the enemy.” He smirked at you, pressing a finger into your forehead, “Get that through your thick skull, won’t you?”
You couldn’t help a light laugh as your lips upturned, “I got through yours, so it’s only fair right?”
About to lift your gaze back on the helicopter, you stopped, rolling onto your back instead, relinquishing the ties of who you no longer wanted to be, unwilling even to grant them your eyes as they left you. You felt as if the tether to your father was being severed as the helicopter flew away, its whirring becoming distant and distant until finally, the tranquility of the forest returned as the bioluminescence reawakened around you. The feel of the grass and the air immersed you into that bliss, and no longer focused on the anger and hurt, you only wondered how you endured it for so long, how that tether was able to mark trauma into your skin and bones.
Lo’ak, although confused by your actions held no qualms about joining you, lying down, his eyes only on you the whole time. You turned your head slightly to look at him, and you felt that peace from before, no longer skewed but welcomed by you as you smiled at him, your gratefulness emanating from it.
Under your gaze, Lo’ak felt himself get shy, getting up quickly to hide the blush that would surely make itself known among the illumination of the flora around you.
“W-we should uh...look for my dad.” In his awkwardness, he was seemingly unsure, his tone expelling his words like a question.
Lo’ak put a hand out and you took it, “Yeah, Jake and I have a lot to catch up on.”
Once you stood up, you heard bellowing rustles in the distance, and immediately you took your defensive position, taking your knife out. Lo’ak also had his knife out, his back against yours as you both searched your perimeter. The rustling became footsteps, the sound approaching closer and closer until you saw a flash of blue rushing toward you, the lifting of a tomahawk making you dodge immediately.
“Jake I-!” He swung again, your knife barely blocking the weight of his tomahawk as you staggered backward.
“Dad! Stop!” Lo’ak yelled out, and hearing the rest of his family come, Neytiri already drawing her bow, he ran to her, pleading for her to put it down.
You ducked again as Jake continued to swing, backing away as you put your hands up, “Jake! It’s me! Y/n!” You yelled.
The adrenaline pumping in his veins was too prominent, not allowing him to recognize you as he continued to swing at you, each one more forceful than the last. Neteyam had also drawn his bow, but Tuk clung to his arms, disrupting his attempt at shooting you.
You fought back vigorously and when you had finally knocked the tomahawk out of his hands, you let go of your grip on him, kneeling on the dirt with your hands up as you spoke again, out of breath, “Jake. It’s me, y/n. You have to believe me.”
Blinking, he could finally hear you, your unmistakeable voice warping Jake’s mind, unwilling to accept the possibility, your appearance betraying the very memory of you, splicing who he remembered you to be from the mystery of who was kneeling in front of him.
He put a knife to your neck, his eyes pained as he tried to ignore the memories coming back to him in response to your voice, “You’re not! Y/n’s dead. She’s dead, okay? So, who are you?”
What proof did you have? Even if you showed him those photos, they wouldn’t be enough. All you had were your memories, and as you looked at Jake, so happy to see him again, you reached into your past in hopes that he would remember too.
“You know me, Jake Sully, and you know my father. He’ll stop at nothing to kill you and your family.” Jake gritted his teeth, his knife dipping into your neck more. You became teary-eyed as you continued to speak, but you were fierce in your tone, “Do you remember what I told you before the bulldozers came?” You asked.
“A father protects. It’s what gives him meaning.” You looked over at his family, their stares burning into you, “You have a family now, Jake. Let me help you protect them from my father.”
Jake dropped his knife, his mouth parting, the words he had lived by in all the time you were gone breathing life back into you, his eyes no longer looking, but Seeing. Every doubt he had in his mind disappeared into the night air as he said your name, the breath he expelled so soft in the wake of what he felt was another reality. You were alive, and when he had finally accepted that fact, he lifted you up from the ground, pulling you in for a hug.
“I’m sorry I didn’t recognize you before.” He said softly, “Blue never really was your color.”
You buried your face in his shoulder as you hugged him back, “Yeah well, it was always yours.”
You felt tears brim in your eyes as you lifted your head up and you could feel your whole body relax for the first time since you woke up. In the midst of your comfortable silence you suddenly heard him sniffle. You became moon-eyed, pulling back to see that he had tears falling from his eyes too.
You smiled at him, your old joking self returning as you laughed, “I see fatherhood’s turned you into a sap.” You put your hands up to his forehead, “And look at all the wrinkles on your forehead. You’re ancient.”
Scoffing, Jake pushed your hand away, tousling your hair, “You come back from the dead, and you’re still a little shit.”
“Whatever old man. I know you missed me.” You snarkily replied, weakly punching him in the arm.
He scoffed at you, winding his arm to punch you back when his face dropped, noticing your bound wound, “What happened? Did I shoot you?”
Lo’ak piped in, “It was one of the other soldiers. He was trying to kill me, but she took the bullet instead.”
He looked between you and Lo’ak. If there was still any doubt in his mind about who you were, it was easily erased. What you had done for his son directly mirrored what you had done for him all those years ago, every detail so ingrained in him that goosebumps adorned his body as he thought of it. Neytiri, who took her place beside Jake softened her eyes, having felt grateful to you for saving Jake’s life before, and once again for saving her son.
“I’m fine. You don’t need to worry. I’ve already put yanna bark on it. It’ll be better in no time.” You put your hands up, attempting to ease Jake.
He glared at you, “We’re going.” Jake turned to his eldest son, “Neteyam, take y/n back to camp.”
“No! I’ll take her back.” Lo’ak instantly protested, earning a knowing look from Neteyam, “It’s the least I can do after she took the bullet for me.”
“Fine Lo’ak,” His eyes were ensnared with warning, “You fly straight and slow, alright? Don’t be reckless in the air.”
“Yes sir.” Lo’ak answered, although he hardly meant it.
Everyone called their ikrans, all of them coming in like a swarm and gracefully descending to the forest floor. Jake flew off first, Neytiri, who was holding Tuk, followed after, then Neteyam ascended as well.
Making sure you were secure before taking off, Lo’ak looked over his shoulder at you, “Have you ever been on an ikran before?”
“Never.” You said, suddenly excited, wrapping your arms around his waist tightly, your chest hugging his back, “I don’t care what Jake says, I don’t want to go slow.”
Lo’ak couldn’t control himself as a satisfied grin took over his lips, “Good, ‘cause I wasn’t planning to.”
The minute he kicked off, you felt the exhilaration of being in the air hit you as you flew through the mist of the night, Lo’ak taking extra detours around the mountain, commanding the wind as you felt it underneath you. You had merely felt free before, but as you embraced the touch of the swirling air, infinite and timeless in its beauty, you knew you really were.
The day had felt excruciatingly long, and you felt so burdened by just being alive, the guilt, the hurt, and the pain encompassing you. But, being in the air with Lo’ak made those burdens feel like mere trivialities, and while you knew in the back of your mind that you would have to face them again, you let yourself feel that freedom you always longed to have and in its simplest form, you understood what it was you were really feeling.
You were happy.
But the thing about happiness is that it can vanish in an instant.
~
Your father was still out there, and having already been motivated to complete this mission by his own disposition, a new rage had sunk into his soul, catalyzing the torment he so desperately had to inflict.
Wainfleet finally admitted to your father what had happened to you, but in his deceitful cowardice, he left out one large truth.
“What did you say Lyle?” Quaritch asked impatiently.
“Sully. He shot her. She’s dead, Colonel.”

Meant to be -Spencer Reid x Fem!reader
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid x FemReader
Word count: 3.2k words
Warnings: mentions of s3 e16 and s4 e24, angst and fluff
Summary: A case reminded Spencer of his past and you the only friend he had in high school, what if one day you two meet again in DC.
Tumblr media
Being a resident genius had its favors, the team bets everything on him and he could always retrieve this but this case was different, it was difficult it got personal.
His edict memory is a blessing but not when a case like this reminded him of his past - Alexa Lisbon.
Then he wished he could forget everything for once in his life, but he will always remember.
When Spencer stepped out of the plane, he felt like he could breathe again, but his mind still raced - this case was an emotional roller coaster for him and the best way for Spencer to calm down was to go to his favorite bookstore.
The moment Spencer stepped into the bookstore he felt relieved, the familiar smell of old books and fresh coffee felt like home and no other person was in sight.
"Hey Spencer though case?!" Miranda the owner of the shop asked.
"Hey Miranda, yeah it was."
"Okay, your coffee will be ready in a bit, the bookstore is almost empty just one more person is here."
Spencer nodded but he was surprised that someone else would be here at this time still Spencer didn’t let himself bother knowing he would probably not even find this person.
Spencer left Miranda and made his way deeper into the bookstore. He was so invested in finding a new book, that he totally forgot about his coffee till he heard his name being called.
"Spencer Reid?" A stranger called his name
He turned his head and then he saw you.
Y/N Y/L/N.
What Spencer didn’t tell Derek was, who got him down from the goalpost back then - it was y/n, after that night you two spent more time together - Spencer could always come to you, and you two never talked about his problems and struggles because when he was with you it didn’t matter, once or twice he talked with you about his mom but mostly he just enjoyed your company and felt like a decent kid with a friend.
When he graduated high school, he never looked back but after 14 years you stand now in front of him right here in this bookstore in DC.
"Miranda asked me if I could bring you your coffee before it gets cold." You said and pointed at his coffee in your hand.
"My god Spencer, I can’t believe it’s you." You continued.
"Thank you y/n." Spencer took the coffee from you.
"It’s been a while, you look good by the way."
Spencer blushed, but he didn’t say anything back.
"Ähm yeah it was nice to see you again, I don’t want to bother much longer." As you attempted to leave, Spencer stopped you.
"Actually I could use some company if you like… Only if you want to obviously, I would understand if you don’t want to…" Spencer
rambled, but you stopped him.
"I would love to keep you company Spencer."
You two sat down and drank your coffee and talked. Spencer found out that you moved here two years ago because you got a job offer at the Walter Reed hospital and nothing held you in Las Vegas. Spencer talked to you about his job in the FBI, you asked him about Diana and it surprised him that you still knew her name, you two had a great time together until you caught Spencer off guard.
"Spencer, how are you really? You have very dark circles under your eyes."
"I…I haven’t slept really, it was this case that reminded me of something in the past." Spencer sighed and didn’t dare to look you in the eyes.
You knew where his mind went, you rubbed Spencer’s arm.
"But look at you now, these High school jerks and Alexa are definitely regretting this now." You looked at your clock.
"Hey Spencer it’s getting late, I have to wake up early and honestly you need some sleep too."
Spencer's mimic changed from happy to sad in one motion.
"Oh, I understand. Yeah yeah, you should leave you need your sleep." Spencer took his distance from you, thinking you wanted to leave because you already had enough of him.
"Spencer hey, if you want we can exchange phone numbers so we could meet again."
Spencer’s lips curved into a smile.
"Yeah, I would like that."You exchanged numbers and you both left the shop together.
Sadly you two had to split ways, Spencer insisted on walking you home but you promised him that it wouldn’t even take 10 minutes till you were home. Spencer started rambling about unsafety and what everything could happen in 10 minutes.
"Wow, now I might think I have to stay with you forever." You joked
but Spencer was stunned and it caused his cheeks to turn slightly pink.
"I just made a joke Dr. Reid, okay. Would you feel better if I wrote you when I made it home save in 10 minutes?" You asked him.
"This would make it slightly better. But.."
"But?" You asked confused.
"You lied," Spencer said.
"What?"
"You first said you would be home in less than 10 minutes now it’s exactly 10 minutes." Spencer smiled and you laughed.
"Come home safe Dr. Reid."You smiled and turned around making your way home.
When Spencer arrived home, he thought about going to bed immediately but you crossed his mind again and when he looked at his phone he saw that you hadn’t wrote him yet. So instead of getting in his pyjamas he sat on his couch and waited for your text.
After 10 minutes and 45 seconds, you texted him letting him know you made it home safe.
Spencer:You are too late.
Y/n:What?!
Spencer:You are exactly 45 seconds too late. Next time I call the FBI.
Y/n:haha. I am so sorry dr Reid, I changed into my pajamas first.
Y/n:You didn’t need to stay awake for me
Spencer:But I wanted to make sure that you save.
Y/n:Thank you Spencer but you also need to sleep.
Spencer:Good night Y/n sleep well.
Y/n:Sleep well genius.
Tumblr media
Over the last few months, Spencer and you met at the bookstore when your jobs allowed it. Otherwise, you two stay connected through messages and phone calls. Even the team noticed a shift in Spencer’s mood and as the man Derek is he asks him about it.
"Hey, pretty boy, who’s got you on the phone like this?"
"What do you mean, I use my phone like I always do."
"No boy wonder, for someone who rarely uses his phone in his free time, you are really caught up in it now." Derek laughed.
"Is pretty boy in love?" Derek asked and wiggled with his brows.
"Derek please can you leave it, it’s nothing," Spencer answered and didn’t dare to look Derek in the eyes.
"Okay Spencer, I let it slide for now but just so you know I care about you and if there is someone in your life that makes you happy, I just want to know."
Paperwork days for Spencer were never a problem, he accepted it cause it needed to be done but now with you in his life, he loved paperwork because it meant he wasn’t away on a case and with you having the morning shift, it gave you two the chance to meet up after work and he enjoyed your time together, he feels like he can be like himself with you and he hasn’t laughed so much since he met you.
But your jobs didn't allow this too much, either you had the night shift or Spencer was out of town for a case and he hated this, he hated when you weren’t around, he hated it when you two were in the same city but didn’t get to see each other and even though he loves his job, he couldn’t wait to come home, to see you - he missed you.
Cases also mean for him that he barely has time to call you.
Currently, Spencer has been away for a week already, this case going longer than he thought it would take, Spencer lay on his motel bed and tried to find the breakthrough for the case but nothing came to his mind.
He put the papers aside and looked at the clock, it wasn’t too late in DC yet, and he was unsure if he should call you, it’s nothing you usually do so that Spencer could stay focused on the case but honestly, he needed to hear your voice tonight, so he tried to call you hoping you aren’t already asleep.
"Spencer? Is everything okay?" Your voice sounds raw.
"Hey, yeah everything is okay. Did I wake you up? I am so sorry, I really didn’t mean to, it was a stupid idea to call you, you obviously slept, and your voice sounds raw. I should-."
"Spencer, breath, everything is fine. I didn’t sleep, I - I just rolled around, I was thinking about you."
Spencer was stunned by your confession, he stayed silent but his heart was beating very fast.
"So yeah, what’s on your mind, Spencer?" You asked breaking the silence.
"We don’t come forward with the case and I...I wanted to hear your voice." Spencer confessed.
"Sometimes it takes more time to find the perpetrator but the only thing that matters is that you will find him. I miss you but please stay safe there."
"I will y/n, I promise."
"Hey, Spencer."
"Yes, y/n."
"Why don’t we meet when you come back, we could order takeout and make a movie marathon at my place nothing fancy." You suggested.
"Yeah, yeah I would like that."
"Good, I will see you soon, good night Spencer."
"Good night y/n."
A few days later the team finally caught the unsub.
As the team flew back to Virginia, Spencer wrote you to let you know that he would land in the late afternoon and asked you if you two wanted to have the movie marathon tonight which you accepted.
Spencer didn’t even realize that he smiled like an idiot until Derek pulled him out of his thoughts.
"You pretty boy what got your smile like that?" Derek asked Spencer.
"Uh n-no-nothing," Spencer said but his cheeks turned 10 times darker every second.
"Sureee Spencer."
Spencer didn’t say anything.
"Hey Spencer," Derek said.
"Yeah."
"It’s good to see you like this," Derek replied. He left Spencer alone with his thoughts, he couldn’t wait to see you tonight.
Spencer arrived at your apartment complex 10 minutes too early, he first waited in his car, drumming his fingers on his bouncing leg, trying to calm himself down but he failed miserably, so he stood in front of your door 7 minutes and 43 seconds too early but it was okay, in that time he tried to get his breath under control.
But before Spencer got his breath under control, you already opened the door.
"Man, I thought you would never knock at my door." You greeted him.
"How-how did you know I stood in front of your door?" Spencer asked.
"I saw you parking your car 5 minutes ago, I waited for you.”
"Oh yeah I didn’t want to be late here but I also didn’t want to be too early, I didn’t know if you were ready yet," Spencer explained.
"It’s okay Spencer but next time just knock you could never be annoying to me, even if you're too early you can sit on my couch like right now."
"I will quickly make the popcorn, you can look for a movie we could watch." You suggested and Spencer sat down and looked for a good movie to watch that you also liked, when you returned with the popcorn and other snacks, you sat down next to him but not too close, Spencer still didn’t decide what to watch.
"I-I don’t know what to watch, movies that I like are mostly not the type from others," Spencer admitted.
"Okay mhm, what do you think of Star Trek?"
"What?!" Spencer was completely shocked.
"Ähm okay was that a bad request?"
"No, no it’s- it’s great actually, I love it, I didn’t think you would like these types of movies," Spencer admitted.
"I am full of surprises Spencer."
So you watched the Star Trek series and after some time you both fell asleep, no one knows who fell asleep first maybe it was you or him but for sure was that you both bumped your heads, after a phone went off - it was Spencer’s.
"I’m sorry, I’ve got a case, is your head okay?"
"Yeah, yeah is there enough time for coffee or do you have to leave immediately?"
"No, it looks really important I have to leave now, but at least the case is here."
"Okay, good luck, be safe."
"I will be." As Spencer was about to leave he turned around once more.
"Hey y/n?"
"Yes, Spencer."
"I had a lot of fun last night."
"Me too, maybe we couldn’t do it again sometime?"
"I would love to, bye y/n."
"See you soon doctor, come home to me in one piece."
Just when the door felt shut, your phone started ringing, it was the hospital.
"Hey, y/n. Is it possible for you to fill in today, maya is sick."
"Yeah sure, I am on my way."
Spencer just visited Abby one of the remaining survivors, in the middle of their conversation Abby got aphasia, which scared Spencer, this stain kills people in a short amount of time and right now he couldn’t do anything.
Then he thought about you, and he had the urge to talk to you, even though he may get in trouble for this he needed to know you were okay.
"Spencer, is everything okay?" You said quite in panic.
"Yeah, yeah sure why wouldn’t it be… I.. I just wanted to hear your voice and I wanted to know if you are okay."
"Everything is okay, besides I have to work today."
"What !! I thought it was your free day?"
"Yeah, change in plans, one of my colleagues is sick and they asked me to fill in, but it’s fine, it’s a quiet day." You lied to Spencer, nothing was quiet on this day.
Hey, Spencer, it looks like I’ve got to go out there again. Look out for yourself and maybe if you’d like we could out soon.. like on a real date, maybe?"
"..I would like it, yeah, that would be great."
"Good, stay safe Spencer. Bye"
"Goodbye, Y/n. Take care of yourself. See you soon."
You both hung up with a smile and at least forgot the scary situation for a few seconds, before you got out again and took care of the anthrax-infected patients.
Spencer and Derek made their way to Nichols a possible suspect in the anthrax case. When they arrived Spencer had cut himself briefly on the thorn bush but it didn't stop him and continued to walk with Derek closer to the house.
Before Morgan and Reid entered Nichols's private lap, Derek got a phone call, Reid made his way into the lab and left Derek behind.
As Derek ended the call, he realized Spencer was not behind him. Derek ran towards the house calling for Reid and just when he arrived at the house, Spencer closed the door from the lab and told Derek he couldn’t get in there just then Derek saw the broken test tube with Anthrax in it.
Spencer was a step closer to death.
Tumblr media
You took the mask from your face and took a deep breath and you finally broke down, you started crying, it was too much for you, seeing all those vulnerable people and you can’t do anything to help them, you can only try to make this stay as comfortable as possible.
You knew what this job meant, you can’t save everybody but this is not fair, how can a human being so heartless and let these people perish?
You took another deep breath and then you thought about Spencer, hopefully was okay, far away from this situation but deep down you knew he wasn’t, he is in the FBI of course he is involved but please let him be okay.
You needed to hear Spencer's voice, so you called him.
"Y/n…" Spencer began to cough.
"Spencer.. what's happening. You don’t sound okay."
"Everything is fine." Spencer coughed again.
"Spencer…no matter what is happening…"
"Y/n listen." Spencer cut you off.
"I love you Y/n… everything is gonna be okay but I've got to go now. Then Spencer hung up and you didn’t get to answer him.
You tried it a few more times but he didn’t pick and now it felt like your world broke down, you burst into tears knowing couldn’t do anything.
After Spencer and Dr. Kimura may have found the cure for this anthrax, Spencer finally gets to go out of the lab and go to the shower, but as Spencer untied his tie, Dr. Kimura sees the cut Spencer got from the bush and the situation just got more dangerous, hopefully, the cure was in the inhaler.
When Dr. Kimura came in with a newly infected anthrax patient your heart skipped a beat - it was Spencer.
He was in an awful state and for a moment you didn’t know if he would survive this.
The situation finally got under control with the confirmation from the lab that the cure was in the inhaler, the last survivors and Spencer were able to be cured and now it was a matter of time before Spencer woke up.
When you walked towards Spencer’s room, you saw a man sitting by Spencer and eating his jello that you put on his table, just then Spencer woke up and immediately asked if there would be more jello.
As you arrived at Spencer's room you couldn’t hold back anymore.
"Hey." You've said as if a stone fell from your heart.
"Hi." Said Spencer with a smile on his face.
You both wanted to say so much more but with this muscular man in the room who you didn’t know - there was an awkward silence there.
"Okay, I think it’s my time to leave. Have fun lover boy." The man said and left you too alone.
"You’ve scared me, Spencer." You sat down on the bed and took his hand in yours.
"I didn’t mean to do this and I am sorry for what I said, I would understand if you don’t want to see me anymore, I mean with what I said I took this.." Spencer rambled.
"I love you too Spencer."
"WHAT?! Really?"
"Yes Spencer, of course I do, I've loved you since we first met back in Las Vegas."
Spencer cupped with both hands your face and you leaned in and then you two kissed for the first time.
"So you still want to go out with me?" You asked.
"Of course Y/n." You both hugged and Spencer's face was crooked in your neck.
"Hey, Y/n?"
"Yes, Spencer."
"Before we go out on the date, can I have some of this jello?" Spencer asked shyly but you just started laughing.
"Of course, my love, you can have as much jello as you want."

Man - when I wrote this it felt from length okay but now I feel like it’s a little rushed maybe you could give me feedback if I should get more in detail with the story and the conversations.
I am still very new to writing and it feels super though to write Spencer so that he still has his character traits and doesn’t sound like a totally different Spencer.

Shdhdhdbd this has been long forgotten about but surprisingly enough I still remember the request.
If you could, would it be okay if you did a reader who was having g flashbacks of the abused from an ex and Bakugou found them in the middle of the room crying and shaking just pretty much shutting down?
I would be happy to! I love this submission.
Synopsis: Bakugou finds you in a state of distress because you've had a flashback of your abusive ex.
Tags: fluff, little bit of angst, comfort, femreader, adult pro hero Bakugou
Warnings: abuse mentioned, ptsd flashbacks, blood
You had been with Bakugo for about four months now. Meeting the Pro Hero had come as a total surprise in your life, something that at the time you weren't sure you were ready for, but a risk you had taken all the same. How well that risk had paid off.
Sure Bakugo was... well rough around the edges. But he was also so attentive and thoughtful, even when you didn't think he was paying attention. He memorized your schedule, watched all your favorite shows and he had even learned how to cook your favorite foods. What's even more is that he knew about your past. He listened when you had talked about your ex, he wiped away the tears that had streaked down your face and assured you that he would never take you for granted or lay a hand on you.
Well your lease had just ended and even though it was kind of fast, when Bakugou had offered, you decided to move in with him. So that's how you found yourself organizing your dresser, newly placed in Bakugou's huge bedroom. As you pulled your clothes from a stack of cardboard boxes, you heard your boyfriend come into the room.
Bakugo was in gray sweatpants and a black tank top and you could hear his barefoot hit the wood floor as he rounded the corner. As you looked over at him you couldn't help but suppress a smile. Bakugou was carrying a vase of fresh flowers.
"Katsuki... what's this?" You said grinning.
"Just-" he walked over to you, "-a gift-" he pulled you in by your waist, "-for my girlfriend." He planted a small kiss on your lips as he handed you the vase.
You giggled as you grabbed the vase with one hand and embraced him with the other. He smiled down at you, still holding you close, giving you those puppy dog eyes that the rest of the world never got to see.
"You're in a romantic mood... what's brought this on?" You asked as he nuzzled his face in your neck, planting little kisses there.
"You saying I'm not romantic?" He asked as he pulled back, pouting.
"Well..." You teased
"Pfft I'm romantic... I'm really fucking romantic..." He said as he lowered his head to kiss you on the lips, harder this time. You let out another laugh.
"Alright alright Katsuki! You win. Now I've got to get all this stuff put away, so if you don't mind... I don't need the distraction right now." You said, using your free hand to push him away slightly. He huffed grumpily in response before kissing you again and then leaving the room. You smiled as you watched him go, vase in hand. You shook your head but then the vase slipped from your grasp, the glass slippery.
The vase hit the floor and shattered. All of the sudden you felt your instinct kick in as your mind flashed back to a glass exploding on a wall beside your head. That had been a particularly bad day for him... and then he made it a particularly bad day for you. You leaped back from the broken vase on the ground, your heart pounding fast in your chest, but you smacked your back on the open dresser drawers. Pain shot up your spine and more memories flooded your consciousness. Being thrown against the wall, the sounds of your own whimpering. You fell onto your hands and knees as you cried out, white hot pain seared across your vision. But the broken glass was all over the floor and you had hit the ground hard, the glass embedding itself in your hands and knees, the scratches it had made on your feet just seconds ago still going unregistered. You felt yourself clam up, all the noise, all the pain mixing. You were short of breath. All you could think of was escape. Your mind throwing your dark experiences right back at you. How? How could you make the moment end? Your spine hurt. You looked down at the little specks of blood on the shattered glass and scattered flowers around you. You remembered cleaning similar specks before. You had been fine a few seconds ago, happy even. But didn't it usually only take seconds for moods to change? The pain, the noise and the rush of your own thoughts and adrenaline was too much for you and you started crying.
"Babe what happened?!" You heard a yell from the other room and you froze. Suddenly you heard running. No no no no no no no. You heard a smack on the doorframe and you flinched.
"OW! What the hell?!" Katsuki said as he hopped into the room, clutching one foot he had just smacked in his rush to get to you. He had just left the room and was going back to the kitchen when he heard the glass shatter, the big slam and your cries of pain. He had turned right around and run back to the room to find you on your hands and knees panting, small whimpers escaping you.
"Hey what... are you okay what happened?" Bakugou said rushing over to you, his hand going to grab your arm but you jerked away from him quickly. You scrambled back until you hit the bedframe and you looked up at him wildly, your hair sticking to your face, your breathing hard and shallow.
Bakugou put his hands up. He looked at you.
"Hey... it's okay." He said quietly, his eyes wide with surprise. He saw you swallow hard. He scooted a little closer to you. "It's just me... I'm not going to hurt you." He reassured you as he got closer. Slowly he brushed the hair out of your face and cupped it, looking into your eyes.
"I...I... I don't know..." Your brain was trying to reboot, to take itself out of fight or flight. But you couldn't explain, you couldn't think clearly. You began to sob and Katsuki gently wrapped his arms around you. His grip was firm but gentle. Like he was holding something precious, something fragile. His warmth enveloped you and you sobbed into his chest as he pulled you in. It wasn't an angry heat, but a heat like a fire, warming you to your core. You felt him stroke your hair and kiss your head and you sobbed harder. You felt so dumb. You had only dropped a vase. When episodes like this happened it felt like all the progress you had made since leaving your ex was just erased. That awful man would still find ways to hurt you even after he was gone.
"I'm sorry Katsuki..."
"It's not your fault."
"The flowers, they're ruined... and the vase... I couldn't even... after all this time... I just..."
"I'll buy you more flowers and another vase. Don't worry Y/N. You're okay. I don't blame you. The only thing I want is to help you."
You breathed deeply and let out a shaky long breath. Katsuki was surprisingly good with words, when he wanted to be. Your hands clutched at his shirt, as if holding on for dear life. You nuzzled your head into his chest as you tried to calm down and stop crying.
A few minutes later you found yourself in the bathroom, sitting on the sink while Bakugou sat on a stool in front of you with a pair of tweezers, pulling out the bits of glass that had embedded themselves in your knees and hands. He was wearing glasses. Something he doesn't like the rest of the world to know about. You stared down at his concentrated face as he collected the glass in a paper towel. After he'd plucked the last piece of glass from your hands you moved to cup his face. He looked up at you past the rims of his glasses, his eyebrows raised.
"Thank you." You said before planting a kiss on his lips.
He kisses you back, eyes closed. His kiss conveying a message you could now hear loud and clear:
I'm gonna take care of you. Always.

opposites attract
genre: fluff (angst if u squint) + established relationship
pairing: han jisung x reader

a/n: i'm a slave to school, so i haven't posted as much as i'd like :( </3 trying my best to do that and get to some requests (which I'm so grateful for <3)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the beginning, nothing could have prepared you for the reactions that people had the most often when they heard who your boyfriend was. You liked the quiet, you were quiet, and you liked the time you spent the most when it was quiet time. Maybe that’s why when you told people you were dating Han Jisung, you were usually met with, “Wow? Really? I wouldn’t have expected that.”
It could be from the way that he would walk into a room and his presence was immediately known, or the way that if he laughed, everyone around him would laugh too. People would often use you two to justify their “opposites-attract” theory.
But, you both knew it wasn’t true.
As different as your outward expressions were, you know that you complimented each other’s personalities perfectly. And it wasn’t just in the way that Jisung would bring excitement and energy into your life, while you grounded and brought him a sense of calmness. It was in something farther below that surface. Something you’d only come to realize when you were really deep in contemplation.
It was the way that he would make you feel like you were the most important person in the room. When you laughed, he did too. When you smiled, he did too. When you cried, he did too.
It was the way that when you two were together, you would feel his fingers slightly hesitate before he held your hand. You would feel his lips freeze before he went to kiss you.
When you sat down and vented to him about any little thing that bothered you on yourself, he’d cut you off and say, “I think you’re pretty.”
And even though you’d laugh at him and roll your eyes a little bit, he wouldn’t laugh back because he wanted you to know he really meant the words he said. He wanted you to see what he saw, the things you couldn’t always see in yourself.
It was the way that he would really listen to you. He would really listen because he wanted to remember everything about your voice. How it sounded when you would raise it and scream. How it would sound when you would only let out the quietest whispers and your most hidden thoughts.
It was the gentle nudges he would give you to step out of your comfort zone because he loved seeing you be the center of attention as much as you liked seeing him in that position. Just enough to present a challenge that would make you grow, but never too much that would make you just break.
Because he made sure that he gave you the room to be your most authentic self, no matter how loud or quiet that self may be. The way that he’d always look at you with so much love and adoration, never asking for anything in return.
It was the way that you showed him you felt the exact same way.
The way you provided a space where he could just be. Without the need to perform or entertain, where he could just let his guard down and exist. Where he could sit in silence with you for hours, not needing to say anything to understand one another. Or where you could laugh at each other’s jokes so hard your cheeks hurt and tears are spilling down your face.
It was the way that you didn’t need him to be perfect, and you constantly reassure him that you accepted all of his quirks and flaws. How those were the things that made you love him the most. The way you didn’t mind when he wouldn’t text you back. The way you’d say, “I think it’s cute when you snore.”
The way you’d pester him to try something new, and when he’d be stubborn you’d bat your eyelashes and he’d give in every time. How you didn’t mind when he would talk a bit too loudly, or when he would cut you off in the middle of a sentence.
It was the way that he could talk to you about nothing. How you could give him introspective thoughts on something totally trivial. And then he’d throw the prompts at you on purpose because he loved to sit and listen to anything you had to say.
How despite your differences in temperament, you always took the time to find things you could enjoy together. How you could sit in your room and listen through entire albums, binge-watch shows and movies, finding new ones together.
It was the way that, even at your quietest, you would jump to his defense in a heartbeat. Even at your quietest, you’d scream to tell him you love him. Even at your quietest, you’d never stay quiet when it came to him.
So when people gave you looks of surprise or made comments about how different you two were, you’d smile and shrug it off because you knew you weren’t so different at all. You knew that what you two had was deeper than surface-level differences. You complement each other in ways no one else was able to, and that was what mattered most.

Summary: A trip to be remembered and a confession that leaves Eddie puzzled.
Part 2
Bags were packed and loaded. Snacks and drinks were bought. A Ziploc bag full with coins for tolls and a map were in Eddie's glove box. And hours of music were picked. All that was left was to wake up at the ass crack of dawn.
This senior ditch day was going to be epic. Months and months of saving and scrimping was all going to be worth it. 3 days of total and complete freedom. The road trip of a lifetime. One last hurrah. Together.
Only this was gonna be tough. Being in close quarters with you for 3 whole days. How was he gonna deal?
Lately he was doing pretty good at keeping his feelings at bay… well that wasn't true. You had left for a week after the senior outing to visit the college you got into.
He missed you more than ever. But over those few days, he reflected back on everything. Sure how he now felt about you came unexpectedly. Still, he never wanted to be with anyone more. Especially since he realized you were perfect for each other.
However if he decided to make a move, there was no certainty that you would be up for it. Also, what would it do to the friendship? You guys had been friends way too long. It would be awkward.
So he chose to push all that he felt away and enjoy this last trip with his friends.
…
It was 4 am on Friday and everyone was ready to hit the road. You had just hopped in the passenger seat with a huge thermos of coffee.
“ Sorry. Thy birth giver wanted to pray for safe travels and a safe return.”
Eddie smiled. “ Welp, hopefully one of the pagan gods heard her.”
You turned around and offered up some coffee and donuts to everyone. When you turned back, you pulled out the map.
“ Okay Eddie. Please for the love of all that is holy. Please don't kill us.”
He chuckled. “ Ye have little faith kid.”
You rolled your eyes and took a bite of a donut and pointed forward. “ Let's do this.”
Everyone whooped and hollard. “New York! Here we come!”
-
3 hours later
“Oh crap! Munson please!” Jeff whimpered.
Gareth backed away a little. “ Man oh man. I told you not to have that second cup of coffee.”
Eddie shook his head while you were laughing your butt off.
“ Calm down.” He said. “ The next gas station in 3 miles out.”
“ I-I don't think I- I can hold it!” Jeff stammered.
“ YOU BETTER!” Grant yelled.
You turned around. “ Guy, guys guys!” It's gonna be fine. Jeffrey. 2 ½ minutes. You can do this. Just squeeze.”
You looked back at Eddie and just grinned away. All he could think about was how nice your eyes looked.
As soon as he pulled into the parking lot, Jeff kicked open the back door and ran into the store.
Once Eddie turned off the engine everyone sat there quietly for a few seconds before laughing like crazy.
When it died down you guys got off to move your legs around.
Eddie went to fill up while the other guys went to see about some real breakfast.
He had just put in the gas nozzle and turned to find you doing toe touches.
He shouldn't have done it, but he did. He checked you out. Loving how your leggings hugged your round bottom. How beautifully wide your hips were.
When you stood back up you walked towards him.
“ Eddie? Can you pop my back?”
He nodded and took a step closer to you. “ Turn around and cross your arms around your chest.”
Once you did as you were instructed, he stepped behind you and wrapped his arms around you. He then took a deep inhale in and caught a whiff of your shampoo. He instantly got goose flesh.
Stop it! He told himself.
After lifting you up for a second, he quickly put you back down. Your bottom brushed his lower half in the process.
Fuck!
His hands fell down to your hips. He mentally had to tell himself to not pull you to him.
“ W-was that okay?” He nervously asked.
You turned around and nodded. Bodies only inches apart.
“ So much better. Thank you.”
He stared at your lips as you spoke. Were they always so full? They definitely looked incredibly soft.
“ G-good.” He stuttered as he kept looking at your mouth and thinking.
“Eddie? You okay? Do I have something in my teeth?”
“ Hmm?” He met your gaze. “ Yeah. No. Yeah. You're good. I just ummm…sorry I was just trying to decide if I should take a leak.”
“ Alright dude." You held up your hand. " Too much info. Go, I'll finish pumping.”
With that said he practically ran away. Rushing into the first stall that was empty. While sighing deeply he cursed himself. He really wanted to kiss you.
His thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a god awful stench.
“ UGH! Jeff what the hell man?! Ever heard of a courtesy flush?”
“ S-sorry man.”
Eddie smiled when he saw the buildings in the distance. He looked at you and your eyes were so big.
“ Guys look! We're almost there.” You said excitedly.
Gareth moved between you and him. “ Awwwww yeah baby. Just think, in a couple of weeks we're moving here.”
Eddie caught a sad look on your face. He knew how bad you wanted to go to Columbia. To be close to them while they followed their dreams to be rockstars. But things didn't work out. Instead, you were going to a college on the west coast.
It was a good school. Everyone knew that. It had a great biology and geology department. Something you were excited about. Still, you were scared because you didn't know anyone there. Everyone you knew and loved would be on the other side of the country.
That's why Eddie understood the sad face. He remembered conversations he had with you about it. He remembered wiping away your tears as you told him about your rejection from Columbia. And though he was the one to talk you into getting some California sun, he now realized he didn't want you to go either.
He tapped your knee and started writing.
‘ okay?’
You peered out the front windshield and slightly shook your head. Then you put your hand on his and squeezed it gently. Letting him know you would be fine.
He knew you would be. You were awesome and you would make friends easily. It's just now he didn't know if he would be okay without you.
You put your finger against your lips.“ Shhhh! Guys I know you're freaking out, but I need you to trust me.”
Everyone was following you down these concrete hallways for a good 5 minutes now. After checking into the hotel and getting food, they had all found themselves sneaking into a building.
Jeff was the first to doubt you. But as soon as a security officer came close to catching you guys, everyone tried to convince you to turn back.
Eddie looked into your eyes and nodded. “ Okay.” He whispered. “ If we go to jail, it better be worth it.”
You held out your hand for him. “ It will be. I promise.”
Your hand was everything he thought it would be. Soft, warm and fit perfectly in his. He swore he would follow you anywhere if it meant that he could hold your hand.
Once you guys were finally in the spot, you told them to stay put. When you let go of his hand, he now felt like a part of him was missing.
You were only gone for a second. But in those few moments they had all realized where they snuck into.
Eddie was speechless. There were absolutely no words that could describe how he felt.
A few spot lights turned on. Pointing directly in the middle of a huge stage.
You returned on top of it. “ So?”
“ Shit!” They all said in unison.
You gave them a huge smile. “ I know right? Obviously you guys can't perform or anything like that. But I wanted the first time you step foot in here, that it's with your biggest support. Cuz I know one day I'm going to be standing right there… screaming my head off.”
They looked at the spot where you pointed. It was right in front of the platform.
You locked eyes with him.“ So get up here and take it in.”
The guys looked at each other then ran to get up too. Once up there you asked for help getting down. You then watched them laugh and wrestle playfully.
“ Alright freaks!” You announced. “ Imagine this.  Every seat is full. And the floor is packed with bodies. All waiting for you.”
They all stared at you after moving to their respective place. As if they're standing by their instruments.
“ The crowd is chanting. Corroded Coffin. Corroded Coffin….Then the lights go out. The ones that are sitting jump up and everyone screams in anticipation. But then... it goes silent…”
Eddie pictured everything. It was all him and the guys ever wanted.
“ Then they hear you.” You point at Gareth. “ Then you.” You looked at Jeff. “ Then of course you bud.” You nodded towards Grant. “ And finally the strum of a guitar along with oooooohhhhs and awwwws from you.”
Eddie finally had your eyes on him. And he knew right then and there that he was in love with you. It wasn't just a silly crush anymore. It was the real thing. The can't eat, can't sleep, the winning touchdown, the home run, the one in a lifetime love.
He loved you because you loved them. You believed in them. And the way you laid out the scene with so much conviction, it had him convinced that they were gonna make it too.
You smiled at him and continued. “ And while you blow off the roof of this place, the crowd sings and sways with you."
-
Later that night everyone settled into the shared room. Gareth and Jeff in one bed, Eddie and Grant on the sofa bed. And of course being the only female of the group they gave you your own bed.
Eddie has just come out of the shower to find everyone asleep. Except you. You weren't even in the room.
He looked at Grant who took up the whole bed and he sighed. Looked like he was gonna sleep on the floor.
He waited a minute to see if you would come back but after about 5 minutes, he went to look for you.
You weren't far though. He found you sitting on the steps reading something.
“ Hey kid. Whatcha doin?”
You gave him a quick little smile before looking back at your book. “ Uhhhh nothing really. Just checking out courses.”
He sat next to you and pulled out his pack of cigarettes. Before he could light one you plucked it from his mouth.
“ No you promised. No smoking on this trip.”
He gave you a thin lip before taking back the smoke and returning it to the carton.
“ You really should quit. I don't want to see you end up with an oxygen tank.”
He put the pack back in his pocket. “ One day. I promise.”
You flipped a page. “ I'll keep you to that.”
You guys sat quiet. Listen to the bustle of the city. Eddie was trying to gather the courage to tell you how he felt. But he was scared. What if he took a leap of faith and it turned ugly? What if you did like him the way he liked you and things didn't work out? Or what if his confession lead to you guys not being friends anymore?
Doubt filled his thoughts. But then a bit of hope shined on him. What if it did work out? What if you guys made it past the long distance thing and were truly happy together? What if this love was meant to be?
“ Eddie?”
His inner rambling came to a halt. “ Y-yeah?”
You closed your book and started fidgeting with the corners. “ You know you're my best friend right?”
He softly cleared his throat. “ Yeah.”
“ And we always tell each other everything.”
He nodded. “ Yeah.”
You sighed a little. “ So you know that I have family out here….well my uncle actually works as a security guard at the garden. He worked tonight…he knew we were coming and he did me a solid…we wouldn't have gotten in trouble if we got caught.”
For a second there his heart sank. He thought you were gonna say that you liked him too. But then he smiled and wrapped his arms around you.
“ I'm really gonna miss you.” He said softly.
You hug his waist. “ I think I'll miss you more.”
The hug lasted a minute or so, but it was the best damn hug he had ever had. And when you tried pulled away he hugged you tighter. Making you giggle.
When he finally loosen his grip, you stared deeply into his eyes. The way you sat there, it was like your eyes were trying to tell him something your mouth couldn't. It was almost as if you were asking him to kiss you.
He was gonna go for it. He was gonna take that leap. However the second he leaned in you yawned. Pulling completely away from him so you wouldn't do it in his face.
“ Wow I'm beat. We should get some sleep. Big day in Time's Square tomorrow."
He frowned at the fleeding moment that seemed to be fate.
“ Yeah you're probably right.” He conceded to it. “ You think you could lend me a pillow and that blanket you brought?”
You looked at him and raised a brow. Silently asking why?
“ Gonna crash on the floor. Grant's a bed hog.”
You laughed lightly and yawned again. “ No. You can sleep with me.”
His breath hitched in his throat while asking a shaky. “ W-what?”
You grinned and stood up, holding out your hand. “ Like when we were kids. If you're worried that I'll get handsy then we can make a pillow barrier.”
He chuckled. “ Maybe I like handsy.”
He regretted it as soon as it came out.
The silence that followed his comment nearly made him shit a brick. You stood there with an almost visible question mark above your head.
Shit! He thought. Shouldn't have said that.
You then shook your head and laughed. “ Stop being weird and take my hand.”
He practically wiped his brow and said whew before grabbing your hand. Allowing you to lead him back.
He laid there for a while thinking about all that happened. He couldn't believe he was gonna kiss you before telling you how he felt. That wasn't the guy he was. He always made sure he got consent. And with you it would be no different. All he had to do was get some real alone time with you so he can finally say something.
When we get home. He said to himself.
He heard you sigh and felt you move a bit. Then he felt your arm sliding across his stomach. Without thinking he lifted his arm and gently pulled you closer. Slipping his arm under your head.
Both of you sank further into the bed. He smiled and his last thought before falling asleep was how much he loved you.
The next day and a half was the best in his life. Exploring the city, eating the best pizza and getting some information about playing at clubs when they moved there. It was fantastic.
Now it was time to head home and finish up the school year.
The drive seemed longer this time. More quiet. And he knew why. In exactly 2 weeks things were going to be different. Everyone was going to graduate and their adult lives were going to start. For a long time he couldn't wait to get the hell out of Hawkins. So did his friends. But now that it was happening, it was so hard to see the next chapter. Well with this little monster of love inside him.
When it was time to switch off. Jeff and Grant traded places with you and him.
You guys crawled in the back with the sleeping Gareth and tried to catch some z's.
You leaned your head on his shoulder and started to hum a familiar tune. He put his hand on your knee and started tapping to the beat. He caught a small smile from you.
“ Hey Jeff? Could you drop me off first when we get into town?” you asked.
“No problem.”
You went back to humming and Eddie was trying to figure out what exactly he was gonna say. Before he knew it he was sound asleep with you.
Until he heard the vans break squeak to a stop.
He opened his eyes and saw they were in front of your house. You had just opened the door and hopped out.
Though he wanted this to be a private moment, it was now or never.
He sat up and followed you. “ I need a minute man.” He said to Jeff. “ Hold up kid. I'll help you.”
You tried to refuse his help in carrying your duffle bag, but he could see you were too tired to try.
You stoped on at your doorstep and reached for your bag. “ Thanks Eddie.”
He handed you the bag and took a deep breath. Just as you turned to open the door he said your name.
“ Yeah?”
His eyes fell to the ground as he rubbed the back of his neck. “ Uhhhh nevermind. I'll tell you later.”
You cleared your throat gently and took a step towards him. “ I hate when you do that.”
His gaze shot up to yours. “ D-do what?”
You put your free hand on your hip. “ When you look like you have something important to say then just brush it off…Just tell me because I'm gonna be up all night wondering what you wanted to say.”
He looked away and stood quiet for a few seconds. “ I-I’ve been acting different lately.”
“ I know.”
He met your eyes again. “ Yeah?”
You didn't say anything, but he knew that you did.
“ So I-” he cut off. Suddenly his nerves were getting the best of him. “ I don't- ummm shit…I- well the reason…damn it! I cant- I don't know-”
You grabbed his hand and lightly squeezed it. Letting him know that it was okay. To calm down and take a breath.
He took a deep inhale and slowly let it out. “ I think possibly, maybe I’ve fallen for you.”
Your expression after that gave him a sinking feeling. You didn't feel the same.
Your frown said it all.
“ I'm sorry. I-I just needed to say something.”
You nodded but surprisingly you didn't let go of his hand. You were actually staring at his hand in yours.
“Eddie…I want to talk more about this. But I can't even think straight and my knees are about to give in.”
That wasn't what he was hoping for.
“Right! Umm yeah. Sorry, just forget I said anything.” He said trying to walk away.
But you held his hand firmly. Preventing him from taking a step further. “ No. Don't do that.”
He looked back at you and you had your eyes closed.
“ Eddie, this is important. If it wasn't then you wouldn't have said anything at all…This deserves a real conversation that I can't give you right now. So please don't leave thinking that I don't feel the same way."
He was in disbelief. Did he hear that right?
You gave his hand one last squeeze before letting go and going inside.
He stood there staring at the door. Did he dream that? You like him too?
Gareth rolled down the window. “ Munson, let's go. I wanna go home!”
He sighed and smiled to himself. " Y-yeah. Okay."

A/N:  Hi!!! I’ve been quite busy lately, and I didn’t always have the time to sit and write. So, I’m learning how to take some time just for myself and write. I guess it’s working because here I’m. The idea for this fic came out of nowhere. I was actually thinking about Bones, this other old show I loved so much. I remembered this sweet scene with Booth and Brennan, where she asked him if he needed time and space. I always loved that scene, so I decided to take that quote and see how it sounded with Supernatural. The result is not that bad if you asked me but let me know what you think. Oh, and stay tuned because a lot of new things are coming your way soon. Enjoy! 🖤

She left him, again.
She did it right before Christmas, of all time. Who does that? His mom, apparently. He sighed while letting himself slip down the floor, his back resting against the bed. His mind was still too busy reliving the argument with his mom when a soft knock at the door caught his attention. Dean looked up just in time to see Y/N's head peeking inside the room. Shit, he thought when he saw her. He had totally forgotten they had plans that night.
"Hi..." She whispered, unsure.
"Oh sorry, I forgot about the movie."
"It's alright, don't worry about it," Y/N reassured him whit one of her gentle smiles. She slipped inside the room a bit more without entering properly, leaning to the door half opened. Dean watched her lingering at the entrance of his room, moving from one foot to the other. He never saw her so unsure, not around him at least.
"Did Sam tell you what happened?" He asked her, tilting his head to the side. Y/N sighed, resting her temple against the wooden door. She thought she wasn't being that obvious, but, apparently, she was wrong.
"Yeah. He also said you might need some time..." She whispered, gnawing at her lip. She glanced down, suddenly very interested in her shoes. "Do you? Need time, I mean." She asked him, peeking in his direction and catching him staring at her.
"Yeah, I think so."
"Okay."
"Okay."
Still biting her lip, Y/N glanced behind her ready to leave him alone. She was about to turn away and close the door when she stopped. Before she could even register what was happening her mouth was moving on her own accord.
"Do you need time and space?"
Dean's eyes never really left her. He saw her hesitation and when he was sure she would have left him too, she turned around catching him off guard.
"Just time..." he answered, giving her a barely there smile.
"Good, 'cause I brought the good stuff."
Y/N smiled at that, slipping inside the room, and showing him the whiskey bottle she was holding. She walked towards the bed, slid down next to him, and offered him the bottle. Dean took it and, without saying a word, took a long swig. He cleaned his mouth with the back of his hand before passing the bottle to her. Y/N took a sip of it, tasting the strong flavor of the liquor before passing it to him again. He took the bottle again without drinking this time. He leaned forward on his knees, trying to avoid her eyes, and ducking his head down she heard him sigh.
"People always leave me."
It was just a whisper and yet those few words managed to break her heart.
"Is it me?"
"Dean..."
"Am I doing something wrong?"
The moment she heard his voice quivering at the end her eyes filled with tears. Y/N leaned against him, laying her head on his shoulder while one of her arms sneaked between his in search of his hand. Against his better judgment, Dean opened his hand welcoming hers. His fingers closed around her warm skin almost afraid to see her go away too.
"Nothing's wrong with you."
"Then, why?" He whispered, leaning against her, letting his cheek rest on her forehead.
"It's not you, Dean. People leave all the time for multiple reasons."
He kept quiet, trying to process what she had just said to him. Maybe she was right; maybe it wasn't his fault. Not really anyway, even though it felt like it.
"How do I make people stay?"
Y/N swore her heart cracked a bit more for him and at that moment she knew: the world didn't deserve Dean Winchester. She let him go for a minute, turning towards him to get a better look at his face. She let her fingers travel along his stubble cheek, smiling at him.
"You don't, but that's okay. The right ones will stay by your side without you needing to ask them," she assured him, watching him leaning against her touch.
Dean swallowed hard, following the warmth of her fingers. She was about to let him go when he took hold of her hand, squeezing it between his warm ones. He leaned against the bed frame; his head turned to the side to have a better look at her features with their hands on his lap. His brow furrowed while her words echoed in his head.
The right ones will stay by your side without you needing to ask them.
"What about you?" he asked her, searching her eyes.
"What about me?"
"Do I have... I mean, are you...?" he stumbled, unsure of how to ask her.
To be honest, he wasn't even sure of what he was trying to ask her. He was just worried to see her walk away from him too. He knew that, in the worst case, he still had Sam. So, he wouldn't be completely alone, but he knew that losing Y/N too would definitely break his heart. He had already said goodbye to his mom, and he had to do it for a second time. He couldn't even say if it had hurt more now or when he was a kid, not that it mattered. And yet, if he really thought about it, he had to admit that he was somehow used to his mother's absence. The only difference was that this time was her choice to leave, which had hurt the most if he was being honest.
But with Y/N?
He wasn't used to not having her around, not speaking to her, not watching a movie with her, or simply enjoying a car ride together. And some part of him didn't even want to think how miserable his life without her in it could be.
"You're stuck with me, Winchester." she winked at him with a smile on her lips.
Dean's lips curved upward at that. He looked away, feeling his cheeks getting warmer under her gaze.
"I like the sound of that," he whispered, and his heart felt less heavy.

The Duet
Tumblr media
After her house loses a Quidditch match, Aislynn finds herself drawn to the Undercroft with promise of silence. Instead she finds Ominis, who has transfigured a piano.
A/N: Light angst and fluff. No heavy romance, but two people who can’t bring themselves to admit feelings.
Word Count: 2.4k
Chapter 7 of “Three Headed Serpent”, full fic found on AO3 here!
Slytherin’s were notorious for being sore losers and haughty winners. So when the first Quidditch game of the term saw the victory go to Ravenclaw and not them, the Slytherin student body sulked. Massively. Most of the older students, including Sebastian, headed off to Hogsmeade to drink away the shame they had. I had never known Sebastian to be a very humble person, so it was no surprise that he took the loss especially hard as the team’s keeper.
I had no desire to watch him, Imelda, and the other team members make fools of themselves in Hogsmeade, so I decided that my time was better spent doing some reading. Mind you, not reading for school. I had recently fallen into the trap of Jane Austen, and I needed to know if Mr. Darcy and Lizzie reconciled after his failed proposal. The common room was not an option, as those who could not go out and drink in public tended to mope about the common room and drink whatever shit brew they could find.
As I approach the entrance to the Undercroft, I thank my brain once again for not allowing me the courage to try out for Quidditch. I am not the least bit athletic and have no desire to be dodging and chasing things.
I creep into the dark room, but stop dead in my tracks when I register the noise. Except, ‘noise’ may be a cruel word for what I hear right now. The soft melody of a piano floats up through the room. Venturing further, I see the piano and its musician in a dark corner of the room, illuminated only by a few small candles.
Ominis is seated, his eyes closed in total concentration, playing the familiar melody with ease. The sight and sound merge into one of the most beautiful things I have ever beheld in my time at Hogwarts, and I am not eager to give myself away before he finishes. He looks angelic, like a being I have never before seen. The focus on his face is evident as he squeezes his eyes shut, playing the haunting tune.
I am mesmerized. I feel as though I have never heard music before hearing him play today, and like the music I will hear in future will not compare. His slender fingers move gracefully as he plays the last few bars. I watch as his hands pause on the keys before slowly lifting them away, sighing with triumph at his playing.
“That was beautiful,” I say. Perhaps beautiful was too plain a word for what it was. It’s clear that I have startled him with my words, as his head turns abruptly in the direction of my voice. I watch him for a moment, as he pants and drops his hands into his lap.
“I didn’t know you were down here,” he stammers out, as if he was disturbing me. “I can stop, if you plan on doing work.” The tips of his ears turn pink, made even more obvious by the candle light that flickered near him. I shake my head, before actually speaking.
“Ominis, it was beautiful. I- I don’t even know how else to describe the way it was.”
A small smile dances on his lips. “Thank you. It’s one of my favorites. The piece, I mean. It’s by-”
“Chopin,” we say at the same time, causing his smile to widen. “Do you play?” he asked me.
Gnawing on the inside of my cheek, I suppress a laugh. “Barely. Not since coming to Hogwarts, at least. I only really remember some of the etudes that were drilled into me during lessons.”
He scoots over on the piano bench. “Show me,” he says, more of a command than a suggestion. This time I let out a laugh. “Prepare to be utterly disappointed,” I say, grinning.
He shakes his head, still wearing a smile. “I promise, I will not be.”
I sit next to him on the bench, our legs touching and our shoulders pressing together. My mind races on what I should play, having not touched the keys for almost two years at this point. Settling on a Bach etude that I remember somewhat from my adolescence, I place my fingers on the keys.
This time it is noise that comes out of the piano. The etude is not one I have entirely memorized, and I have to pause a few times. In addition, wrong notes sour the melody and I can’t seem to decide if I want to play fast or slow. Thankfully the piece is short, and I find myself playing the last chord with a sense of relief.
I glance over, studying his face. He is wearing a crooked smile, perhaps trying to hide laughter. “Lovely,” he says, almost breathily.
I snort, releasing a giggle. “You are a horrible liar,” I tell him, leaning against him with my shoulder. “Don’t speak to me with poetry, I know that I am a horrendous piano player.” Another thought comes into mind, causing me to laugh. “Have you read Pride and Prejudice?”
Ominis shakes his head. “I feel awfully similar to Lizzie Bennet at this moment, she also can’t play the piano. In the book, she makes a fool of herself doing so in front of the man that is in love with her. I haven’t finished it yet, but I am certain that they will marry. We should try to find you a braille copy!” I say, laughing.
He doesn’t say anything back, and I look over expectantly. Ominis’ cheeks are a bright pink, as if I have said something to embarrass him. “Are you okay?” I ask him.
He nods, but doesn’t say anything just yet. I absentmindedly tap a few keys on the piano before thinking out loud. “I wish that my hands moved like yours on the piano.”
This causes him to speak. “Really, you were not bad at playing. I quite enjoyed it, you should play the next time all three of us are down here,” he says, kindly. He seems to think for a moment, unsure of if he should speak.
“Do you want to try something?” he asks, turning towards me a bit. My eyebrows raise slightly. “Ominis, I don’t think I have it in me to play a duet with you,” I say sheepishly. This earns a genuine laugh from him as he shakes his head. Standing up, he steps behind me on the bench before reaching his arms on either side of me to touch the keys.
“Put your hands on top of mine,” he tells me.
My hands obey his command, tentatively resting on top of his. His skin is soft and cold, his fingers long and graceful in comparison to mine, yet my hands feel on fire as they sit on his.
Ominis slowly starts to move his fingers on the keys, my hand mimicking his. He plays the same melody as before, albeit much slower. The room fills with nothing but music and the sound of our breathing, our breath almost in sync with each other. The piece is tragic and soft, and this moment feels far more intimate than anything else in my memory. His fingers are gentle, commanding perfection from the instrument.
When the piece finishes, we don’t move our hands away. I can feel his breath on the back of my head, how quick it is.
“I was right about you and your lovely playing,” he whispers into one of my ears. His voice sends a chill down my spine, and I instinctively lean back slightly into him.
“You really are a horrible liar,” I say back, my voice a low whisper. The room feels too silent now, just our breathing and the creak of the bench. He doesn’t respond, standing still against me. I notice that he has stayed stationary, despite being pressed against me. My mind races from this small contact, from the contact our hands still have. It frightens me.
I quickly lift my hands away from his, leaving his fingers alone on the keys. My hands feel cold, and I watch as he lifts his arms around me and moves away from my body.
“Why did you come down here?” he asks suddenly. I turn around to look at him, watching as he rubs the back of his neck with one hand. His other hand is absentmindedly flexing at his side, his fingers stretching and then creating a fist.
“I came down to read, to be alone. Or,” I say, trying to correct myself. “At least get away from the moping that was happening in the common room.”
He smiles. “Let me get out of your hair, give you quiet so you can read.”
“No! I mean… stay and play for me while I read. If you want,” I add, smiling at him. He looks unsure, but nods. I pick my book up from where I set it and look around for the sofa that I transfigured months ago. “Where is the sofa?” I ask him.
He turns, smiling mischievously. “Where do you think the piano came from?” he asks me knowingly. I laugh. “You prick! You transfigured my reading couch?”
He nods sheepishly. “I was going to change it back when I left, before you came back down.”
I shake my head. “No, leave it. The piano does so much more good for the room.”
Ominis smiles, before turning back to the piano. I watch his body rise and fall with a big breath, before I am floating as music fills the room once more.

Our Hero Academy
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Prev. Chapter
Pairing: Shota Aizawa x female OC
Genre: Shota Aizawa X female OC fluff, angst, high school romance, friends to lovers
Words: 2k
Summary: 15 years ago, Eraser Head was starting his hero studies with his best friends Hizashi and Oboro. Contrary to what people think, his teenage years in the U.A. were bright and lovely, filled with the laughter of his best friends and his girlfriend's unconditional love. What happened over the years? What changed him into a gloomy sensei?
Extra note: You can totally picture Y/N in the OC female name, it's just that it'd be cute to read Aizawa calling her pet names. 🤍
Chapter 2 - Training together
"But how was it? Tell us every detail! Does she look as hot as always while training or even hotter?"
"Hizashi, cut it out," Aizawa ordered. His friends had not stopped asking how the training with Kaori was.
"This isn't fair, Shota. You worked with her because we helped you; otherwise, you'd continue looking at your shoelaces like a total idiot."
"Thanks for that, Oboro. I'll remember it next time you're floating and screaming for help."
Hizashi let out such a guffaw that everyone in the cafeteria looked at the line and once they discovered who was laughing like that, everything made sense.
"Can we just buy our lunch and go to the rooftop?" Oboro asked while covering his face behind Aizawa. It was one of those super weird cases in which he actually felt embarrassed. "And I'm done with the floating jokes, you, cat boy!"
Aizawa was trying to make his friend stop pulling his shirt when, in the distance, he noticed Kaori eating alone next to a window. “What if we tell her to join us?” Shota's voice made his two friends look at him as if they had misheard. Him inviting someone else? HE proposing that they socialize with someone else? Impossible... Aizawa would never do such a thing.
"Are you high? Did you take anything from Recovery Girl's office?" Oboro asked.
"Whom?" Hizashi looked in all directions without understanding. "Are you okay? I mean, Oboro's here, I'm here. And we're pretty much the only human beings you talk to. Who else are you thinking of?"
"Kao... Hoshino." He said correcting himself immediately.
"Hoshino?!" They both asked so loudly, especially Hizashi, that even Kaori heard them.
“I mean, she's there all alone…" Aizawa looked at the floor with such intensity that had his power had been some kind of laser, he would have scorched the whole place. "You know what? Forget it."
Too late… his last words were only heard by the wind, for Oboro and Hizashi were already inviting the girl to eat with them.
Tumblr media
"So, let me get this straight. You can heighten so much the volume of your voice so that you can end up stunning other people." Kaori said paying attention to their introductions while they ate on the rooftop.
"It's not that he can end up doing so, he does it at least twice a week." Oboro clarified while Hizashi laughed.
"When I was born, I cried so loudly that everyone in the room fainted."
"Definitely not something to be proud of, bro."
"Still, you laugh every time he tells that story," Aizawa commented and he did not lie, for Oboro started to roar with laughter, causing a chain reaction in Hizashi and Kaori, it was just impossible to contain the laugh once Oboro started. When they finally managed to control the fit of laughter, Aizawa was already done with his lunch.
"I can generate and manipulate clouds of varying density. So far I'm trying to create bigger ones, but it's kind of complicated and I tend to end up soaking."
"Or floating..." Kaori hadn't intended to mock him; in fact, she was paying a lot of attention to the boy. However, striking a chord in Oboro, not even Aizawa himself could suppress a laugh. "I'm sorry! I didn't want to..."
"Oh, that's fine! Do it now, because when he's the one making jokes, he won't stop." Hizashi said.
Trying to clear his name, Oboro brought his left hand closer to Kaori, and opening his palm, he formed a small cloud that little by little acquired the shape of a doll. While Hizashi praised like a child what Oboro had done, because no matter how many times he did it, the blonde was still surprised, Aizawa glanced at Kaori's beautiful smile before the doll. Shyly, the girl took both hands and placed them on top of the doll. She then manipulated the energy of the small cloud and made it shine with the colors of the rainbow. That simple energy transformation blew the guys' minds.
Just as Aizawa imagined, Kaori, Oboro, and Hizashi clicked immediately and from that day on, the days at the academy became much more tolerable for the two timid heroes.
Tumblr media
One afternoon, when classes finished, Hizashi and Oboro were ready to go to the movies and then go to eat. They had invited Kaori; however, she could not join them, so now they were just waiting for Aizawa.
"Shota, hurry up, we're going to be late!" Hizashi said when their friend closed his locker but was still wearing the training uniform.
"There's no time for you to change, let's go, you can do it on the way," Oboro commented.
"I'm not leaving yet, I'm gonna train a little more."
“What? Why? We trained all day! My throat even hurts."
"Sorry guys I can't go."
"Aizawa!" They said at the same time as they watched him leave.
Thus, the young hero went through all the gyms, and he could see several students training. Some of them were practicing with professors, others in groups, and others individually. Yet, he couldn't find what he was looking for. Thinking that he had made a fool of himself and that he should have communicated better, he was about to leave when an idea made him stop. Maybe he was looking wrong...
Entering the forest that surrounded the UA, Aizawa found what he was looking for; or rather, who he was looking for. Kaori trained on her account, she didn't tend to use the gyms at the academy, but no one knew why, until that day.
Aizawa hadn't even gotten very close to her when he felt how the temperature changed. Despite being a beautiful sunny day, the temperature was chilly, and yet, the area around Kaori was burning and at first the boy did not get how she could bear it so stoically. Suddenly, Shota understood what she was doing. Kaori was transporting heat waves through airflows so that she could ignite several logs scattered around the river. One by one she burned them in this way until she only had one left, the largest of all. Aizawa could tell she was having a hard time handling so much heat, she had already started to sweat and was slightly wincing.
"If she keeps going like this, she'll burn her hands." Thought the boy.
Suddenly, Aizawa discovered that the girl couldn't stop, the amount of energy she was trying to control was higher than her body could resist. He knew he didn't have consent, and that she might resent using his quirk on her, but he needed to do it. Then, the black of his eyes' iris disappeared, giving way to a scarlet red tone. Aizawa had activated his quirk, and at the same time as his eyes burned, Kaori lost her power. Desperately seeking to ease her pain, the girl plunged her hands into the water and Aizawa could hear a moan.
The heat had already disappeared, he could already approach her. "Are you okay?"
“Shota, it was you… you stopped it.”
"Sorry, I know I shouldn't have, but it looked like you were in pain."
"You don't have to apologize, thank you." She said with a kind smile, but with glassy eyes. She wasn't going to let a single tear fall, but still, the burning in her hands was terrible.
"Shouldn't you go to the infirmary? Recovery Girl can help you.”
"It's not necessary. It doesn't hurt that much."
Aizawa knew it wasn't true, Kaori's palms were burning red; still, from what he knew of her, he was certain that she would ignore her pain and continue training. "Why didn't you stop?"
"It was my fault, I got distracted and tried to control more energy than I could. Besides, I suck when it comes to controlling heat."
"You could've transformed it, it was solar energy, you could convert it into electricity."
“I try to avoid electricity.” She said lowering her face, it was evident that she was not going to talk about it. "You seem to know a bit about the subject, huh?"
"If we're going to train together, I must understand what you do." He responded by lifting his shoulders; however, his comment did not go unnoticed by the girl, who experienced a new sensation in her stomach. “I looked for you in the gyms, but I remembered that you once mentioned that you like to train outside.”
Kaori nodded and couldn't help but smile at the memory of her old home. “I grew up in the countryside, and even though my house isn’t big, there are big mountains and rivers around it, I got used to training like this. I feel a bit suffocated in closed gyms.”
“I imagine wind and water energies are the ones you manipulate best.”
“Those are the first ones I learned to transform, but sound energy's my favorite. My little brother loves it when I used the vibrations to make the earth around him shake. He has this sweet giggling... it's very cute to hear." For a moment, longing tinged her gaze, but then she looked down at her hands and sighed. "Now, heat and electricity... different stories."
A few moments passed and Kaori took her hands out of the water. "That's enough, are you ready to start, Shota?"
Before nodding, he threw another glance at her hands, opened his backpack and taking out some bandages. "At least protect them a bit."
After a sincere thank you, the young girl tried to put the bandages on her hands, but no matter how strong she tried to be, the heat did not allow her to do so.
Somewhat embarrassed by her ache, Kaori tittered. “I think I can try it later.”
Without a single word, Aizawa did it by himself. The boy took care of Kaori's hands with such delicacy that she did not feel anything. Or probably it was because she was lost in him that she did not notice when he finished.
"I think that'll do it."
"You're done? You're better than Recovery Girl, Shota!"
“You get used to it when you grew up with two guys who get hurt every day.” Even though Kaori laughed, Aizawa remained serious, apparently, it wasn't that easy to make him laugh.
Taking Kaori at her word, Aizawa began to train with her. At first, it was just the two of them, but soon the other two joined them. Anyone would think that due to their personalities, training sessions were nothing more than prolonged breaks, but that couldn't be further from the truth. When it came to practice, it was serious.
In addition, their group movements were perfect considering that Hizashi used sound waves to attack and Oboro used the wind to control his clouds. It was wonderful to Kaori that her friends precisely used the types of energy that she could best control, and if things got messy, Aizawa quickly sorted it out.
The group complemented each other perfectly because while Hizashi and Oboro kept their motivation to the maximum, Kaori did not let them give up, her dedication sometimes left her friends with their mouths open and on the verge of dying of fatigue. Regarding Aizawa, he was key, since he was the one who analyzed how his friends fought, how they used their powers, and which their weak points were. Little by little, he felt more useful and strove hard to train his power. What Hizashi and Oboro hadn't attained in years no matter how hard they tried, Kaori was achieving it. The girl was making Aizawa begin to realize how powerful he could be. It would be a lie to say that he felt confident or sure of himself, but he was starting to do it.
As for the dynamic between the four of them, this was quite curious, for although Kaori was aware of how capable she was, once the training was over, she was quite introverted. In fact, the more time the boys spent with her, the more they realized how similar she could be to Aizawa, except that she wasn't as quiet.
Meanwhile, all the words that did not come out from Kaori and Shota’s mouths, Hizashi, and Oboro said them; however, those weird cases in which Aizawa and Kaori made jokes could bring their friends to tears from laughing so hard. To tell the truth, Aizawa and Kaori's humor was very similar, they were funny without even meaning to. Also, although the girl sometimes inhibited herself when Aizawa was close, she was the one who teased him the most. It was curious and funny for Hizashi and Oboro to notice that although Aizawa made her nervous, he was the one she trusted the most. And without even meaning to, or without him noticing, Kaori was also gaining the boy's trust and affection.

Tumblr media
During my time on board the tardis, our adventures were nothing short of being scary. Running for our lives, locked in cells and once even being hung over acid. Nothing ever stuck with me though, ever. Apart from this time, apparently. Recently, we had a new addition to our team, bringing us up to a total of four. According to the Doctor, the Master needed to be supervised. Apparently he was a danger to himself as well as others. She had found him about to be hung on some alien planet and taken him in as precaution. Even though yaz wasn't thrilled, I honestly didn't mind. He was good company. We would read together in the library or study ancient texts. Of course, he would read through them and I'd help to decipher what they actually meant. On our travels he'd taken to walking at the back with me and we'd laugh about how oblivious to each others feelings the other women were. All in all, I really didn't mind his company and, in some ways, I felt myself growing attached to the renigade timelord. Knowing my attraction was stupid, I pushed those thoughts to the back of my head and carried on as usual. Going back to the original story, we had just returned from Ero. A beautiful planet, the sky almost looked like ocean and strange creatures flew throughout it. However, the locals weren't a fan of humans which, in turn, lead to us being hunted down. Weaving through city streets, my hand was clasped in the masters until we rounded one very sharp corner and got disconnected. I was quickly grabbed and everything from that point on was a blur. The next thing I remembered was being carried back to the tardis and the masters coat wrapped around me. Under the doctors instructions, I was put to bed and left to sleep.
Hours later, I awoke with a start. My skin was damp with sweat and the sheets clung to me uncomfortably. Sitting up, I tore the covers off and held my head in my hands. Whatever nightmare i was having had faded away by the time I became aware of my surroundings. Heart pounding, I flinched as my door opened with a loud creak.
"Its only me." The master spoke quietly, shutting the door and coming over to my side. He took a seat on the edge of my bed and looked at me with worry. Possibly? It was hard to tell with him. After all, he was a mad man.
"I heard you scream." Blinking at the male, I wracked my brain trying to remember the dream but I just couldn't.
"I did?" My voice came out as a whisper. Frustrated, I dug my nails into my palms and took a shaky breath.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Shaking my head, tears pooled in my eyes as nothing was coming to mind. Unexpectedly, arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me into a comforting hug. Burying my face into his neck, my hands gripped onto his shirt weakly. The master rubbed my back calmingly and began to rock us slowly.
"Dont push yourself, it's okay love." Sniffling, I scooted closer and took in his scent, that I'd grown to love over his time with us. It was that of old books and ink. Very him, very relaxing. I'd never of expected to see this side of him before he joined us. However, this once cold man seemed to have a soft spot for me. Or, maybe, that was just wishful thinking. Cupping my cheeks, the master looked down at me reassuringly.
"Would you like a drink?" Unsure of what to say, I just pressed my lips together and shrugged. His thumb ran across my cheek affectionately.
"How about something warm, it will help you to sleep." Humming, I glanced up at him sadly.
"Hot chocolate." Grinning at me, he stood and left my room briskly. The covers felt scratchey against my bare legs so I threw them off hastily. Making sure they were folded at the bottom of my bed, I propped my pillows against the headboard so I could sit comfortably. It was annoying me, how I couldn't remember what they did or what I dreamt of. Obviously, the two were connected. Resting my head against my knees, I sighed and took a few breaths to settle myself. Next time, I was definitely picking the destination. The doctor had a tendency to pick hostile locations. All I wanted was a relaxing break. Maybe a planet full of hot springs? Or an alien spa. Cutting me off from my train of thought, the master returned with a mug in hand. My favourite mug at that. Cute.
"Scooch up." Doing as he said, I slid across to the other side of my bed and took the drink gratefully. The noirette sat beside me and looked at me as I took notice of what was in my drink. Exactly seven mini marshmallows. Exactly how I made it.
"You noticed." Chuckling, his arm slipped round my waist comfortably.
"Of course i did. Why wouldn't I?" Shrugging, I sipped the hot drink happily. Forgetting about what happened earlier, I realised I had no idea what time it was. Saying that, I supposed you never really knew once you were travelling through time and space.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked, gazing up curiously.
"Three hours." Usually the master went for a power nap after being out. Feeling guilty, I stared down at my drink and chewed on my lip.
"You don't have to keep me company you know. I know you like your sleep." Even though there was light amusement in my tone, I felt sad at the thought of being alone.
"Dont be silly. I want to stay up with you." Shocked, I made eyecontact with the timelord.
"You do?" Nodding enthusiastically, he picked up a blanket from the floor and draped it over the both of us.
"Of course. You're my emotional support human. Its only right I'm here for you in your hour of need." Laughing at his statement, he steadied my hand so none of my drink spilt or burnt me.
"I'm your what?" It was hard to speak whilst laughing and I didn't catch the sweet look the supposedly 'evil' man was giving me.
"What? You make me feel calm. I hated it at first but its actually quite pleasant." Touched by his confession, I rested my head on his shoulder.
"You're going soft on me." He just chuckled and brushed the hair out of my face. We stared at each other for a moment, relaxed in each others presence.
"Not 'on' you. Just, for you." Scoffing at his words, I tried not to show how much that meant to me and sipped my drink now it had cooled a little.
"Dont be sappy, master." All he did was nod, a smile of his face that wouldn't shift.
"You know, purple suits you. I should leand you my coat more often." Blushing, I elbowed him playfully. That did sound nice though. It was incredibly warm from what I could recall.
"If you're offering." I mumbled, not wanting to sound too eager about it. Seeing as I had finished my drink, the master placed my mug on the bedside table.
"Want me to read to you?" Immediately, i nod at him and moved so he could grab one of my books. Settling back again, he held me close with one arm and used the other to hold the book. My face was nuzzled against his chest snugly and i yawned inaudibly. As the master began reading the slow-burn romance to me, I felt my eyes grow heavier. His voice was extremely soothing. My arm hung over his waist as I curled into his side for extra comfort. Not minding, his grip tightened slightly, the feeling of safety overwhelming me. Sleep was slowly consuming me, the sound of his voice fading out. Just before the darkness took over, the master leant down and pressed a kiss to my forehead before mumbling.
"Sleep well, darling."

CW: mentions of gore, might be a little ooc, i’m not sure KEBDNNS o(﹏╥)o
Genre: slight angst + fluff
Anne Lester x GN Cheerleader Survivor
Word Count: 2,328 words
“Y/N!—be careful,” Anne had let out a soft laughed as she watched them flinch at the sounds of the cipher before quickly readjusting their stance and narrowing their eyes at the keys, “at the rate you’re going, you’ll get us caught. Remember, don’t rush.” She lightly instructed as her eyes followed the way their fingers reluctantly pressed into the keys, the slow yet harsh clicking against the cipher as the dials turned, the electrical pole that looked over them shook with each movement.
“I’m sorry I just—it can be a lil’ tough sometimes,” They gave a sheepish smile, looking up at Anne who, in response, pointed a gaze back down at the cipher, as if gesturing them to focus. “Tryna get used to ‘em and all,” They huffed a bit, causing the toy merchant to let out another laugh as she tried to decode the cipher with them. “I wanna go fast and get this over with but—I also don’t wanna screw up and make some noise and have Antonio come after us—what a mess that’ll be.” They groaned, their right eye twitched ever so slightly at the memory of him chasing after them earlier. “I barely escaped if it weren’t for Ganji—man, he’s really good with that bat, y’know? I’m pretty sure he’s saved me like—a hundred times! And I’ve only been here for a month!” They exasperated “A month, and I can’t get the hang of this kiting thing-“
“You’ll get used to it, trust me, it’s easier over time.”
“For you!” They blurted out with a grin as they adjusted one of the spinning dials and hit the cipher, “I mean, you’re a complete natural at that, honestly, sometimes I think you’re totally cheating.” They joked lightly as they glanced at the open spaces, checking if Antonio was anywhere near them.
“You flatter me, Y/N,” Anne shook her head in response, her lips twitching upwards in a slightly prideful smile “But I’m not as good as you think, there are others much better at kiting than I,” Her last words faltered when she heard a sharp laugh from them, feeling them nudge their elbow against her arm clumsily as an attempt to focus on both the cipher and her. “Y/N!”
“Oh, don’t be like that! You’re incredible with this stuff—Sure, there’s loads of good kiters n’ all, but between you and me?” They comically leaned their head closer to Anne, an excited whisper slipping through their proud grin, “I’d say you’re one of the best! I mean, come on! Have you seen the way you kite?” They questioned, Anne knitting here eyebrows in response, she never saw it as anything special—what she said was true, at least, she believed it was—there were much better kiters than her.
But before she could even question their words, they continued on with their ramble “The way you move, quickly navigating through each and every path—how you take full advantage of your surroundings—oh, and how you ready your catapult so quickly and launch into the air? And hold yourself up for that long?” They breathed out, stars practically shimmering in their eyes, unable to take notice of the way Anne’s cheeks began to turn a pale pink. “That takes a whole lotta skill, seriously, and you put in a lot of effort in what you do! Anyone can tell! You literally kited the Will Brothers!—the Will Brothers!—for like—15 minutes total!” They nearly shivered at their words, shaking their head at the memory of their first time encountering the Will Brothers, as fascinating as their skills were, which of course they complimented, they would be lying if they said they hadn’t been scared out of their wits. “I mean, how can you not be considered one of the best?” They chortled, their eyes glued on the set of keys instead of the increasingly flustered woman next to them.
It wasn’t until the cipher shook violently for a moment and sparked, did they flinch and finally tore their gaze away from the cipher and taking notice of Anne who had similarly flinched by the sudden spark. “Oh jeez—I’m sorry, I wasn’t-“
“No no, it’s fine—it was my fault, actually,” Anne cleared her throat, cheeks now a rosy pink as she shifted her gaze to one of the openings, catching a glimpse of the abnormally tall hunter glance their direction and begin to make his way. “I think you should go, I’ll finish this one.”
“Are you sure? I-I didn’t say anything wrong, did I?” They stammered slightly, hand reaching out to place a comforting grip on her wrist but had pulled away immediately when Anne’s eyes swiftly took notice of their movements, but soon settled on them, softening at their words. “Anne?”
“No, you didn’t say anything wrong—I just—Antonio’s close,” Anne muttered as she began to decode, finishing up the last few bits, as she said she would. Chuckling the moment they began to whip their head around frantically to see the hunter before tensing the moment they saw him nearing their location. “Please, don’t worry, I’ll be fine. You, on the other hand, need to go off and do another cipher, I believe Emil is decoding just west from here.” Anne recalled.
They fidgeted in place slightly, a nervous smile plastered on their face as they looked back at Antonio, cringing under eerie smile before turning to Anne, who had a more comforting smile. “Well—if you say so! You know way more than me so—“ they fumbled with their words as they gave a more optimistic grin “I mean you can handle yourself just fine, you’re that cool after all! And—well, you’re really experienced—with this stuff!-“ They rambled a bit, somehow sounding as if they were very much reassuring themselves instead of simply complimenting the toy merchant. “Just—holler my name if you need me, okay? I’ve got your back!” They beamed as they placed a hand on her shoulder, a gentle squeeze given as they moved away, “I believe in you!! You got this right in the bag!” They waved before running off quickly. “Take care!”
“I will!” She called out, a flustered grin on her face forming as she popped the ciphered and gave Antonio a challenging glare—she didn’t know what went over her, to challenge a hunter when he was this close—was it because of their encouraging words? Their ramble that came from pure adoration? Either way, she felt a fire in her chest, one that didn’t dim before the presence of the hunter but rather, fuelled her mind and energy as she sprinted off to steer him away from the cipher they had gone to.
-
‘I’m not going to make it!—‘ Anne gritted her teeth, her eyes wincing in pain as stray tears slipped down her cheeks, hair sticking to her forehead that was coated sweat, her hand clutching to her side, feeling the warmth blossom with each step she took, sinking into her clothes and making the side of her corset a much darker shade of red. She could hear the ominous humming and tugging of strings that followed, a sharp noise piercing the tense air as a crimson note formed in front of her, followed by an amused laugh.
Her breathing hitched as she turned a harsh left into the dilapidated church, stumbling in her steps as she heard his shoes clicking quickly behind her. The toy merchant eyeing an unused pallet and made her way to it, a quiet whimper leaving her lips as she had passed through out, ducking to avoid Antonio’s bow before pulling down the pallet in front of him, deterring his movements and making him curse in response. Taking this opportunity, she had quickly wobbled her way to the front left side of the church and vaulting over the window before turning a right.
“The exit gate is opened!” Anne gasped, hearing their voice familiar echo through the air like a melody one would simply hear walking by the sidewalk, a sense of relief knowing they would be able to make it out as she began to make her way towards the exit gate. She could hear Antonio curse under his breath as he struggled to vault over the window with his tall stature before continuing his pursuit.
It felt like an eternity, constantly crisscrossing past the walls and vaults, using the unbroken and unused pallets available, which weren’t many—and having close calls with Antonio’s bow or his music notes. She was nearing exhaustion, the thought of just collapsing and letting him drag her to a rocket chair began to sound much more pleasant as time went on. However—something stopped her as she caught a glimpse of them waiting anxiously by the exit gate through the gaps of the walls.
The moment their eyes had locked into each other, she watched as they hollered her name “Anne!-“
“What are you still doing here?! Go!—We’ll still win!” She choked out as she vaulted once more, her heart beating faster as Antonio’s bow sharply brushed against her forearm, he had missed her by an inch. Frustration bubbling in her chest when she noticed they hadn’t moved from their spot, “Y/N, just go!-“
“I’m not leaving you! I don’t care if we’ll win, it’s not right!” They retorted, restraining themselves from running to her as their right leg quivered under their weight, the clumsily wrapped wound burning as they took a step forward. “Your catapult! You have one left, right?”
“I won’t make it!-“
“You will! I know you will!—please!” They pleaded, their eyes sparkling with the same determination and firmness that shone when they had rambled on about her earlier in the match. “I know you can do it! You can! It’s the last stretch, you can do it! You’re Anne Lester!” They cheered, their throat aching but they had ignored it, too focused on the scene before them with Anne creating some distance. “Come on! You got this! I know you do!”
Anne cursed under her breath, her heart pounding, and it was no longer because of Antonio who trailed behind her, but because of their words. She risked a glance back, seeing him break down a pallet that had been in his way, quickly, she pulled out her catapult and placed it on the ground, preparing it before reluctantly becoming aware of her wound at her side and her increasing exhaustion. Their words echoed in their mind as she took a firm step on her catapult before launching herself in the air, a frustrated ‘no!’ came from Antonio as he stretched bow out, the strings cutting her ankle as she stretched her wooden wings in the air, a quiet cry leaving her as her ankle stung.
The cold air flooding through her wounds and sinking into her as she held an iron grip on the handle, blood staining the soft pastel colours as she watched them cheer loudly. “Yes!—yes yes yes! Go Anne! You can do this! Just a little bit more!” They hollered, a weak smile gracing her face as she slowly glided over the walls. Maybe she was going to make it—she was close—so close—she felt her fingers slipping from the handle gradually, panicked eyes glancing at what was happening before looking back at them, who similarly began to realise what was about to happen. “J-Just hang on a bit longer! I know you can!—just—“ They stopped, seeing the oncoming musical note before moving quickly to their right, hissing at the burning sensation on their leg.
“Y/N, just go!-“
“No! I’m waiting for you! Now, come on!” They yelled back, hearing Antonio grow closer, anxiously glancing at both the hunter and Anne, who was thankfully closer to the ground. Just a bit more!—Just a few more seconds! They could hear the laboured gasps from Anne—until finally, her hands had given in to the weight and pressure and had let go of the handle.
“Anne!-“ They shrieked before rushing over, stretching their arms and ignoring the pain as they caught Anne in their arms. Stumbling back, their body threatening to give in and let them fall due to the sudden weight thrown on them, their leg screaming a bright red as their shoes dug into the dirt. “You’re okay! You did it—!!“ they blurted out as their arms tightened around her waist, feeling her frame lean against them heavily as she groaned in response. They forced themselves through the pain, adjusting their grip on Anne quickly to carry her in a bridal style before running to the exit gate, sparing a glance back at Antonio who was startled by the wooden wings that collapsed in front of him and felt the wind blow it in his direction, watching him swat it away harshly in annoyance.
“Good match, Antonio! See you later!” Normally, they would have given a more sincere compliment to Antonio by now before leaving the match, just like they had done with the previous hunters—but their attention was more onto Anne, who struggled to stay awake. They unconsciously held her tighter as they let out a heave, “You did amazing—seriously! I’m so proud of you—I told you, you’re one of the best!—“ they blurted out, attempting to distract Anne from her pain before feeling Anne’s arm weakly pat their shoulder. “It’s okay! We—We’ll go to Emily and have you patched up, okay? I got you—I got your back-“
The gesture, which was mistaken as a sign to hurry up, was filled with nothing but gratefulness and returning adoration to the cheerleader, an exhausted yet jubilant smile formed on her lips as she found herself slowly agreeing to their words of praise.
Maybe she was one of the best, after all.

As I sat down on some bench in front of my favourite pastry shop, tears were uncontrollably falling down my face, and my breath was uncontrollable, I could barely breathe.
It was the first Friday on a December morning, when snow coated the wide street, and visiting a pastry shop had not gone according to plan. Then I felt somebody sit down beside me, and it happened to be you, I looked at your side, you were wearing a smile, I had always wondered what was so amusing for you to smile the brightest; then I heard the softest chuckle there is to hear, never been in my life have I heard such as soft as yours. Then you asked me a question:
"A breakup?" My sobbing abruptly stop, I held my breath and tears for a quite few seconds and then my eyes landed on your miraculously beautiful face, I was enchanted.
"Yes--" my answer was cut off by a hiccup. "And it is my birthday," I said, but you chuckle once again, and I was quite offended, but for the first time, you turn to face me and looked me in eyes, I was taken aback, and your eyes were gleaming.
"Happy birthday;" you said so calmly, and all I can do was give a quick nod.
"And also sorry, she totally had chosen the wrong time." You said. While my eyes remain on you, studying; studying your smile, your gleaming eyes that shone as bright as the sun above, studying your outfit, you were wearing a brown coat, a red skirt by the knee under the coat, and a pair of brown boots, with a blue faded scarf wrapped around your neck.
"Tha--thank you," I said catching my hitched-up breath, but then you extended your hands offering me your blue faded scarf, and then it took me quite a few seconds to stare at it, then back at your apologetic smiling face.
"You can wipe your tears with it, I worry that your tears might freeze for it's so cold today." So I took it, wipe my tears away, blow my nose with it, and then it took me to realize.
"Sorry, I blew my nose on your scarf, I'll return it back after I washed it," I said.
"No it's fine, you can keep it, that scarf always made me remember bad memories" you breathe out a long deep sigh, then look back at me.
"That scarf-- it's my mother's, that's her scarf, my grandma made that for her for Christmas; though she was only nine years old when she get those, it's still here for almost forty-nine years." As I watch you, I can't help but wonder, why your voice sounds so melancholy, while you have a sad smile, it doesn't reach your eyes. Now I had concluded; it must have been one of those bad memories that the scarf reminds you of.
You sigh, hands fidgeting with one another. "She gave me that when I was twelve, it was the day she left me." I could not make out what to say, all I could do was nod.
I wasn't expecting to meet you again after those little talks, and after you had left, I could not even lie how the possibility of me had fallen in love with was a little too high, even though I just had my heart broken.

Howdy hey, call me Skipp!
I'm relatively new to tumblr despite having an account for years. I was always a little scared of this platform, but now that I know more about how it works I've come to adore it!
I figured I should just clarify what my blog is like. This blog is far from currated! It is simply the dumping ground of my mind. This ranges from ocs, to fandoms, to random inner monologues put to text. The only truly cohesive thing about this blog would be the art. I love to do the art things and will post and repost it constantly! So the best way to navigate my blog for anything specific would be through the tags :)
With all that said, you weary travellers who are interested in my wears (fandoms), below the cut you will find a list of things that intrigue me.
Tales of Arcadia
my obsession with this series will come and go in intense waves but will never truly fade.
Percy Jackson/Rick Riordanverse
show reignited my adoration to intensities they definitely weren't before XD
Mystery Kids
I love this and all of the different possible iterations with other media as well. So much angst and fluff material too!
Secret Trio
I constantly remember and forget how much I love this au. Same as with Mystery Kids, I'm a sucker for all the different interpretations and inclusions of other media in this au.
Indie Horror Games (Sally Face, Slay the Princess, Fran Bow, etc)
This isn't, like, exclusive to horror exactly, but games of a similar vibe and nature to those are what I find myself liking the most!
Undertale/Deltarune
been a fan since it first came out and I don't think I'll ever really stop
TMNT
got into the fandom through Rise and, ever since, I have been making my way through the other shows slowly, one by one. Currently on 2003, which I've heard is collectively believed to be the best, and am very excited.
Also looking for any good Rise!Raph angst fics, so if you've got any suggestions lmk!
Flying Bark Productions (ROTTMNT, LMK, MOON GIRL)
I am an animation nerd and my current nerd obsession is everything this studio has made in the last, like, ten years! Everything they make is just so...ashsreuvbevui!
Detentionaire
I don't care if everyone else has moved on, because I haven't!
Unus Annus
Momento Mori. I'm always down to reminisce and grieve with those who were there. This channel had such a profound impact on me so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to truly forget it, but that's fine with me.
Grojband
I'm totally normal about this show that no one around me seems to even recall and have totally not made a hella angsty au about it to cope.
Fashion
Like a crow, I like pretty things. Fashion is one of those pretty things. I repost a lot of couture.
Sims
I repost a lot of cc on here not just for me, but for anyone who might find interest in it as well (it's definitely just for me).
PowerPuff Girls
While I oddly enough don't remember much of the show, I have always been pretty deep into the fandom. Been reading fics and fancomics since, like, the early 2010s and just never really left lol
Miraculous Ladybug
I can't escape this show! I love the fandom, it's great. Love all of the artists and aus and fanart, but I've fallen out of love with the show itself. I will watch every single episode, I just won't talk about it because that's not where my interest lies.
These are definitely not all of the fandoms I am or will be a part of but these are probably gonna be the ones you see the most of!
