I’m actually so saddened and pissed off by the cancellation of “The Wilds”. That show had some of the most heartfelt, authentic, genuine portrayals of young women and their struggles, relationships, connections, emotions, etc. And it had such amazing representation for the lgbt community (most especially sapphics). Now we will never get to see Shelby and Toni make up. We will never see Leah and Fatin get together. Not to mention we won’t get to see what will happen after the dramatic cliffhanger of s2.

But most of all I’m so tired of almost all sapphic shows being canceled after a season or two. Enough of this.

@primevideo​ be bold and make it official yourself. You’re letting go your best show, in terms of quality, storytelling and themes. Is it a budget thing? Stop producing mediocre shows. Is it because a bunch a people complained about the boys on the island? Just don’t listen to them, they didn’t understand the show. This comes unexpectedly after 3 months of official posts, promos, the vidcon! It all feels like a joke, and in the same week of the rising of the subscription! The Wilds deserves so much more than this. We will fight for our girls, we will give them a new home. I saw shows like Sense8, Brooklyn99 and One Day At A Time being saved by the fans. This is possible. Roll up your sleeves, bitches.

We all know what it feels like to be where their fandom is right now and the last thing this world needs is to lose more lgbt+ representation. maybe there is a reason for this, but I don't understand why streaming services keep making sapphic shows and movies if they are just going to cancel them?

like amazon prime released the paper girls (loved it) but they just cancelled the wilds and you cannot convince me that it wasn't at all based in homophobia. netflix announced do revenge after cancelling first kill.

don't get me wrong i'm super excited for these new shows, i just don't understand why they keep making shows and movies with lesbian representation after they cancel other shows (probably BECAUSE of that representation)

As someone who has fought against the cancellation of sapphic shows before and even succeeded on occasion (shout out Wynonna Earp!!) my biggest advice to people who are upset about “The Wilds” is be loud! Make a stink! Express your thoughts and feelings! Be a pain in the ass if need be!
