that ball scene where he looked for reader !! the butterfly effect of it haunts me because in reader’s mind, she’s just doing what is expected of her and attending a royal ball. like it would have never crossed her mind that doing so would mean she’d become the victim and prey of a certain prince with ego issues </3 like what if she didn’t go? who would have suna targeted if not her? and to think she never even thought she might find love by attending that ball, and when he approached... she must’ve thought, “oh. so i could be loved, after all.” but none of it is real and he loved her too late 😭

and yes unfortunately at this stage, yn still loves him </3 that’s why she’s so hurt about this, because she loves him and she cares. i think it hurt her more because she’d planned to find ways to divorce rin long ago before the beach house scene, but she’d given him another chance and for him to suddenly say he wants to divorce and how its like he’s giving up . . . well its all very hard for her to process, but at the same time, i think its good that this is the worst it can be ! they’ve hit rock bottom, a dead end. it’s only yes or no from this point onward

I absolutely adore your story! I started reading it two days ago and just finished it 😅 There are SO MANY things I love about it, I could go on forever, but I’ll just name a few.

For starters, the pet names! They have me on my knees 🧎‍♀️‍➡️ I love how Wanda and Natasha call each other “My love” and Ducky is referred to as “My little love”. My personal favourite, simple as it may be, is “Darling”. It makes me melt every time without fail. And when she was all shy about wanting to be referred to as “Princess” , I think that was in the club? Either way, *chefs kiss*.

The slow burn in this story was so well-written, I love how you set the scene and gave us backstory instead of going straight in, it really adds to the reading experience. The fact that they took so long to tell Yelena, much as she may dislike it, also adds to the authenticity, because it feels like something that would just kind of happen? Ducky was so scared of losing Yelena as a friend, of course she was hesitant to tell her.

This is just a small thing, but the rest of the characters in the story being from the marvel universe is just such a nice touch. Sometimes I’d be so deep into the story that I wouldn’t realise, like it took me a while to realise that Peter was Peter Parker lmao. But especially all the scenes at various parties and the club, where all of Natasha and Wanda’s friends are pre-existing characters. I like knowing what characters in stories look like, so it’s nice to already know or to be able to just Google them.

Another thing related to the characters is that you write them all so well! Sometimes it can be hard to give characters separate personalities, and their dialogue can be a little dry. But you’ve done a wonderful job of giving them all unique dialogue and little personality quirks, which just makes it more enjoyable to read. Like how Wanda has less control than Natasha, as is made clear in the elevator scene.

One of the specific things I enjoy is when Wanda paints with Ducky, especially when she sits behind her. The way you describe it, with Wanda taking charge and helping her is so sweet. That first time she did it and Ducky got all nervous when Natasha came in was cute lmao.

why do all my pets fall terribly i’ll while i’m going through a major medical event myself? i lament. am i cursed?

let me count the ways:

1. drove 3 hours for top surgery consultation and spent the night in that city - ripley, my little sunshine baby, had to be put down the day after i returned. she was in a lot of pain prior and i became her full time caretaker. she could hardly do much by herself, declining quickly and nobody knew why, nothing was helping. my mom didn’t believe what i tried to tell her because she was working a lot and was never home to see the worst of it. thought my baby was playing it up for attention (dogs aren’t capable of manipulation like humans. they might play up a hurt paw for snuggles and a treat but they will not collapse climbing stairs or need assistance to get on the couch or be unable to turn around in her kennel because her tummy hurt so bad HMPH) i was so conflicted leaving. but i left her with my mom (i checked in a lot a lot bc i did not have much faith in my mother after refusing to listen to me). either my baby declined while i was gone or my mother finally realized how serious it was, they took her to the emergency vet where they found she had metastatic cancer in over her abdomen. i’m so sorry for all the pain you were in for so long and that i didn’t do more to advocate for you. i’m so sorry. rip little one 🌻

2. immediately post-op top surgery - princess had to leave us too. she was nearing 20 (97 in cat years) and a grandmama to 4 adopted generations of kitties. she had lived a long life and she was tired. rest well, sweet old lady 👑

3. a little ways into the post-op healing period - neko required emergency surgery to remove bladder stones. he’s no longer screaming his head off in the basement for hours (we just thought he was a vocal boy 🥹) and has made his way to the top of the charts of most cuddly cats i’ve ever owned. he’s such a sweetheart now that he’s not in pain and uncomfortable all the time, before i thought he was a stereotypical aloof cat 💔

4. nearing the end of the major healing period, where i’m allowed to lift heavy things again - little yo-yo had worms! thankfully was in the early stages and cleared right up with medication, but i was so so worried. he is the Devil when you try to pill him. sweetest little baby boy, so gentle when he plays w me, always careful of his teeth and claws. skittish little thing running a biscuit business. try to give him a pill tho and none of that matters anymore, he don’t care who you are, if you’re his absolute favorite person (me) - boy will utilize everything in his toolbox to get away. ended up crushing up the pill, wetting some dry food, mixing it up and hand feeding it to him. i guess he got enough in his system though because he hasn’t had any issues since.

5. gallbladder removal - mom had moved out by this point and adopted a new puppy, adding to the two she took with her when she moved out. we took in younger one of those dogs while new puppy was fixed and healing because they play too much together, too hard, and too often for it to be safe

6. and now! i’ve been battling an ear infection, a subsequent yeast infection, and lingering dizziness, nausea, fatigue, and lightheadedness from fluid buildup behind my eardrums. will probably end up with another infection by the time my appointment with the ENT rolls around and will most likely need them drained manually and ear tubes inserted. all that to say, chewie is sick! not sure with what but his body language spells something is wrong, his meow sounds off, and he’s not eating much (boy is a vacuum).

so yes i am never in a good position to provide fully for my babies when they are ill. i can at least get by doing the bare minimum for myself but they rely solely on me for everything.

in hindsight, it seems like all my issues coincide with theirs but really, i had many other sicknesses in between. ear infections, sinus infections, colds, covid, bronchitis. i’m always down with something but it seems more obvious when there are unexpected events at the same time.

Once his brain had woken fully up as well, all the events of the past day and night flooded his mind. The wedding. His wedding. He couldn't help but smile; immediately turning his head to the right. His eyes landed on you.

His wife.

Jonathan smiled even more. It still sounded so unrealistic and yet... He felt for the wedding band on his ring finger on the left hand... It was true.

Unlike Jonathan, you were fast asleep. Eyes closed shut tightly; breathing deep and even. You were laying on your stomach; bare back on full display. Your hands were buried underneath the soft pillow to support your head, while your lower half was covered underneath the thin blanket. It reached the dip of your lower back and therefore only just covered the curve of your bottom; teasing Jonathan.

A few strands of hair had fallen into your face and your cheek was slightly squished by the pillow - and yet you were the most beautiful woman Jonathan had ever laid his eyes upon. The man couldn't help himself but to shamelessly look; keeping his oceanic blues directed on you and just watching you sleep. He'd do that for the rest of his life. That much was certain.

Jonathan didn't know how long he was just admiring your stunning beauty. Seconds, minutes, hours?

At some point, his heart was beating so rapidly against his ribcage; screaming at him to just touch the woman he loved. So, he did.

Slowly inching closer towards your body, he laid on his side and propped his elbow up to support his head. With a sweet smile, Jonathan reached for your face, in order to tuck the loose strands back behind your ear. Then he let his fingertips wander gently over your neck, up to your shoulders and down your entire back; grazing your soft, warm skin slightly.

You stirred a bit, but kept on sleeping, so he repeated the loving movement of his hand. Sometime on the way, the night manager lost his caution, and suddenly he was using his whole palm to caress your skin. Jonathan just couldn't help it. You were like a temple to him. Worthy to be worshipped.

Jonathan's touch caused you to wake up at some point, of course. Stirring awake, you blinked your eyes open - and the first thing you saw was your husband's handsome face. A soft smile was on his lips, as his oceanic blues looked into yours so full of love and adoration. Eyebrows slightly slanting, he inched even closer; hand stilling on your lower back.

"Good morning, beautiful," Jonathan whispered in his rough, but yet gentle morning voice.

His flirtatious words caused your heart to beat immediately faster. You couldn't help but smile as well. "A very good morning, indeed." You whispered back; biting your lip, before you leaned forward to press a soft kiss on his awaiting lips.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked you then; his thumb starting to caress the skin on your lower back. You nodded; still smiling. "Heavenly. And you?" A soft, breathless laugh escaped his lips. "I think I've never slept better." You giggled and placed a hand on the centre of his chest; fingers playing with the fine hair located there.

After a while of pleasant silence, you spoke up again, when you saw the wedding band on your finger twinkling in the morning sun. "Can you believe this? We are married now...." Jonathan shook his head; smiling. "It's surreal. Like a dream." His hand left the place on your back; travelled further up to gently graze your side and ribcage, which cause goosebumps to spread over your skin. "I hope it's a never-ending dream..." You bit your lip once more, then gave Jonathan a push; making him lay on his back. With on hand pressed firmly on his muscular left pec, you hovered over him; mouth only a hairsbreadth away from his. "Baby, I promise you... It is a never-ending dream." You captured his lips with yours then; tangling them up in a sinful kiss.

Jonathan's biceps bulged as he tried to pull you on top of him. Once he was successful, he rested both his hands on your hips to keep you in place. With his lips still sealed in your kiss, he shifted; moved his strong body to pin you on your back, so that he was on top of you know. The sudden movement of Jonathan made you break the kiss and caused a small yelp to escape your mouth. But when your husband was hovering above you now, you could only bite your lip again and smile.

The sun, which shone through the curtains gave his face a soft glow; his short blonde-brown curls almost shining golden. He looked even more handsome now.

You lifted your hand to his face; fingertips softly mapping out his jaw and cheekbones. You could clearly feel the soft stubble on his cheeks and chin; giving you a sizzling sensation.

"I love you, Jonathan."

He smiled. That dazzling smile you fell in love with such a long time ago.

"I love you even more, my darling."

good morning my cherry bun~ 🥺🩵 i hope you slept well~

sooo funny thing happened with my personal trainer. you know how i said i could’ve sworn we were scheduled for 10:30 session on thursday? we were actually scheduled for 3:30 and i had no idea until she emailed me about it at 3:15….. a 3:30 appointment and i was several hours early lol 😭😭 i asked if she was willing to go through with our 3:30 session but she said she’d rather have a fresh start on monday, so we’re doing just that :> can’t wait to get back into the swing of things!!

i went to the grocery store with my mom to pick up stuff for pancake day tomorrow! :3 i bought some honey (for me since i loove honey on my pancakes) and i wanted to get strawberries but i guess they’re out of season now :( i’m thinking about using agave syrup on my pancakes since i have a lot left over from when i had girlfriend toast (that’s what i’m calling toast made the way you have it in the morning~ 🥺) oh and i found fudge covered oreos at the store today i can’t wait to try them!! (whenever i buy snacks for myself my dad looks at me in disgust like i’m gonna eat everything i bought in one sitting -_-)

we were able to find some beef bacon at the store and my dad was so jazzed about it that he decided we should have……. baked potatoes… with bacon bits for dinner 😐 yeah so needless to say i’m making my own dinner! it’s chicken salad since i’m craving something cold and summery :D
