what’s the secret project you posted 👀

oh gosh i keep meaning to answer this and then i keep forgetting or pushing it back for reasons unknown to me i think im just unaccustomed to having any asks lol but anyways this is something that actually started because of a certain thing me and marina yell about when it comes to austin and then as our love for callum grew it came to something else grand and beautiful. now it’s only something that has been discussed in the chat, it has no doc or nothing official to it, it may never even come to fruition (marina is already gifting us with so much goodness in the fic worlds she dabbles in)

but i will share some of it and feel free to come further talk about it if it interests you 😘

So we’re all aware of how Austin put his blood, sweat, tears, and soul into his Elvis role. This man gave it his all and I’m truly so grateful to him for it because in my opinion (and most importantly in Lisa Marie’s opinion) he did Elvis Presley justice.

• Bree is a famous and highly esteemed guitarist, singer, and lyricist. She’s won multiple Grammies and written for and with Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys, etc., that’s more her vibe. Baz hires her on during the making of Elvis movie so she could help him modernize the soundtrack and help with the choosing of songs. Maybe she’s even there when Austin gathers all the people from the record label and has them ridicule Austin after his first run through.

• But she’s there before filming and she’s there during filming and her and Austin even shack up together for a while during the first COVID lockdown, spending time with him in his apartment and staying up at all hours of the night to help him get certain scenes right. The bed sheets are tangled, kisses are shared, breakfast is eaten in bed not in the kitchen and there are multiple walks on the beach taken together.

• Bree tries her best to be there for him through all of it. She can sense he’s about to sky rocket and rightfully so, she doesn’t think anyone around can currently measure for his talent. She tries to be a soundboard and a friend and a girlfriend of sorts and a co worker and he’s got her playing all these different roles to keep up with him but keep in mind he never asked her to do any of that. She’s doing it because she loves him, maybe she isn’t in love with him or if she is she isn’t aware of it yet but she does love and care for him.

• And he’s going through his shit. He isn’t sure where Austin begins and Elvis ends and he isn’t in the headspace for a relationship, especially with Bree who deserves the world so when he’s sick as a dog and bed ridden before heading to London he makes sure to have the conversation with her. They were never official. Never went public or had rumors swirl. It’s better to end it on a good note and leave it how it is.

• So consider his surprise when a few months into filming MOTA, Bree shows up on Callum’s arm being introduced as his girlfriend. It’s supposed to be a lads night and Barry dragged him out and now someone who he calls one of his closest friends is introducing Bree as his current girlfriend. A close friend who he goes on walks in the parks with, who places kisses on his cheek after a few drinks, who places his hand on the small of Austin’s back when he approaches him, who pinches his cheeks and welcomed him with open arms. Dating someone who was there at his worst and gave him her heart and stayed up entire nights talking him down when his anxiety was too high and made him do self care when he forgot he was supposed to be his own person.

• and see, Callum and Bree are both Brits so they run in semi same circles and they knew of each other and were friends but Callum was with Vanessa Kirby and they were in love and for a while Bree was with Alex Turner and them afterwards there was Austin. So Callum and Bree were already friends and when they run into each other at a record shop and then head to lunch after and maybe Callum gave her a kiss goodbye when they went separate ways - it all just grew from there.

• so maybe Austin feels a green jealous monster growing inside his chest but who he’s jealous of he’s unsure and a larger part of him is actually happy for both of them. They’re good people, they love each other and both deserve each other.

• they’re suddenly everywhere. She accompanies Callum on set and it’s clear to everyone how in love they are and one time when they’re filming the POW scenes and everyone’s on lunch Austin is looking for peace and quiet so he wanders into their “bunks” but there right in front of him - Callum holding Bree up against the wood panel walls, pounding into her as she moans his name so prettily, his sheepskin jacket still on and making him sweaty. Callum’s eyes open and he catches Austin walking, Austin who trips over his own feet to back away but Callum just smiles and winks at him.

• and later Callum approaches Austin with a high five and a cheeky, “see how good I was giving it to her, mate?”

• and fuck, Austin gets hard thinking about it. Gets hard thinking about Bree’s moans and Callum’s grunt and his sweat and her breasts bouncing against his chest.

• then filming wraps and Austin’s free of them. Doesn’t have to be in there presence every day anymore and he meets someone, a nepo baby who’s beautiful and kind and he’s in a place where he feels he can be with someone so he goes for it and he falls in love.

• and MOTA press isn’t until 2024 so it’s two years of only a handful of run ins with them but then press starts and news break: Callum and Bree are engaged. And the entire cast and crew are happy and they all celebrate.

• She didn’t join Elvis press because she was touring.

• so now Austin is around his engaged friends and he has mixed feelings regarding both of them. See he’s happy and he loves his girlfriend and his career is good but if he’s being honest something is missing and when he wants to torture himself he admits he knows exactly what it is. And he’s doing interviews and Bree is backstage and Callum’s always so touchy and so kind in his words in regard to Austin and one day Callum admits Bree told him what went down between Bree and Austin and Callum’s a confident guy, he assures Austin it’s all fine.

• But maybe it’s the first screening of MOTA, and Callum and Bree are tired of Austin’s sad puppy dog eyes every time they catch him watching them so Bree corners Austin backstage. Gets close and starts palming him through his pants, assuring him Callum wouldn’t mind, in fact Callum has been purposely teasing Austin during interviews trying to get him to cave.

• Callum and Bree both decided if they all wanted it how could it be wrong? Why not go for it?

• And Bree’s falling to her knees and taking Austin in her mouth, pretty pouty lips wrapped around him as she takes him all the way in and suddenly Callum is there, watching them, talking her through it.

• “Isn’t she phenomenal, mate? Had to work with her to get rid of that gag reflex and now she can deep throat me.”

• and Callum waits until Austin mewls his name and calls him over, begging him to be a part of this somehow, to please hold him. So Callum is joining them, Bree so pretty on her knees between them and Callum is flicking Austin’s nipple and letting Austin let his moans out in his neck.

Vinny wiped the sweat from his forehead, his breathing steady despite the grueling training he’d just pushed through. you, on the other hand, were sprawled out on the grass, limbs splayed out like you’d just been hit by a truck. well, not exactly — your energy never truly disappeared, even after he took you on a night run.

“are you dead or just pretending?” Vinny asked, the slightest smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. he nudged your leg with his foot, but you didn’t even flinch, just groaned.

“i’m a ghost now, sorry. i can’t move. you’ll have to carry my body.”

he sighed, looking down at you with a mixture of mild amusement and something else. concern. not that he’d admit it out loud, but it was there, lingering. he crouched down, poking your cheek, watching as you lazily swatted him away.

“you know,” Vinny started, “i've been thinking. how the hell are you always this energetic, but don’t eat? your body shouldn’t even work at this point. like, do you run on sugar alone? is there a candy factory inside you somewhere?”

you cracked an eye open, squinting up at him through your exhaustion. “candy? no. it’s pure willpower,” you joked, sticking your tongue out for a second. “i’m built different.”

“built different, my ass,” Vinny muttered, running a hand through his hair. “you need to be studied. i should just tie you up and ship you to Juwon. maybe he’ll leave me alone if i offer you up as a peace offering.”

you snorted at the image of Juwon receiving you like some strange mail-order experiment. “he'd send me back with a 'return to sender' label.”

“yeah, probably,” Vinny grumbled, but his tone softened. his eyes flickered over you briefly before he shook his head, as if dismissing the thought. “but seriously, though. you don’t eat right. not enough, at least. i know you're all 'go, go, go,' but you can't survive off that alone.”

your teasing expression faltered for a moment as you noticed the shift in his tone. Vinny never talked about his mom much, but you knew — knew how her health had deteriorated because she neglected herself, pushing through until she couldn't anymore. he didn’t want to see you follow the same path, even if your situation was different.

“i do eat,” you mumbled, rolling over onto your stomach. “just… not always at the same time as you.”

he didn’t buy it. “right. that’s why i’m making sure you eat breakfast with me. every day.”

you groaned dramatically, dragging yourself up to sit cross-legged in front of him. “you're like a strict dad.”

“i’m nothing like a dad.” he flicked you on the forehead, causing you to yelp. “and anyway, i found a solution for all that extra energy of yours.”

you raised a brow, suspicious. “what kind of solution?”

Vinny’s lips quirked up into a smug grin. “you're training with me from now on”

your eyes widened. “w-wait, what? Vinny, i can’t keep up with you on your bike!!”

“too bad,” he said, standing up and stretching out his arms. “you said you had so much energy, right? well, show me.”

you sputtered, trying to come up with an excuse, but the words seemed to get tangled on your tongue. Vinny looked back at you, his expression all too satisfied with himself. he knew exactly what he was doing.

it was such a clear manipulation, but you still eat it.

as the day went on, Vinny’s plan worked perfectly. he ran you ragged, pushing you to your limits until even you, with your boundless enthusiasm, were completely drained. by the time you collapsed onto the couch that evening, you were so tired that you didn’t even notice the slight smugness in Vinny’s expression.

he watched you for a moment, arms crossed as you drifted off into an exhausted slumber. you’d been so energetic earlier, bouncing off the walls and barely eating a thing, and now, after hours of keeping up with him on his bike, you were finally still.

Vinny leaned against the back of the couch, looking down at you. the soft rise and fall of your chest told him you were out cold, and he let out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. the small bit of worry in his chest eased up just a little. at least for tonight.

and, sure enough, as if his plan had come full circle, the first thing you asked for when you woke up was food. Vinny tried to hide his satisfaction, but you saw the tiny glint of victory in his eyes as he handed you a plate.

“see?” he said, leaning against the kitchen counter. “your body still needs fuel, even if you’re running on sugar and chaos.”

you made a face but dug in anyway, too hungry to argue. Vinny watched, not saying much, but the look in his eyes was clear — mission accomplished. he win.

The edges of the wrapping, meticulously folded and taped, were obviously done by someone with a steady hand and knack for detail.

It was Valentine’s Day and though you loved your boyfriend to pieces, his sadistic tendencies threw you for a loop sometimes—before you could be a simple box of chocolates or an actual, straight from the chest, maybe even still beating human heart.

“Well, now or never,” you mumbled to yourself. You approached the box and rested your hands on it, silently wishing for anything but a real organ. Your fingers tore at the paper, revealing a smaller, flatter box. Out came a sigh of relief from your lips as you curiously lifted the lid from the slim box. You pulled out a black piece of paper that had a handwritten note on the blank side facing you.

Would it be possible to know how the ROs would react to accidentally stumbling across some very poetic love letters the MC wrote to/about them but never gave them? 💌

Okay so Anita would get all teary and straight up throw herself at the MC because this would win her in a heartbeat. Even if she didn't see MC as a romantic option/interest before, she does now. She's an avid reader and a huge romantic so this would make her entire decade.

Reem would be similarly touched, but she'd be more apprehensive about approaching MC about it. I can imagine her turning it into a song and then playing it in front of MC, bc why talk when singing does trick. Also to hopefully gauge a reaction.

Flo doesn't read other people's stuff. But if in this instance he did, he would simply assume there's a reason MC didn't give him the letter, and that they probably don't feel that way about him anymore. He'd be kind of sad and regretful but he would try to forget he ever read it.

Basil would be touched but he would also use this to give the MC a huge shock. Maybe lay the letter out for MC to find while they're just going about their day, with like "return to sender" or sth added on top of the page. And then below it he's written like "yeah we need to talk <3"

Sawyer would steal and keep the letter. They want to read it over and over again. Just to remember someone felt that way about them at one point. They would act like they have no clue in front of the MC, basically pretend like nothing's going on, and they wouldn't pursue MC based on the letter. They want to enjoy the contents without having to give anything in return, in their mind.

okay so this is a curt lives (yayyy!!!) gale dies (it hurts to even type) storyline. i’m still debating his death but i do have two roads i wanna go down, i’ll probably go with whatever way ends up fitting john’s character trauma later. enjoy some first meeting hc!!! ty for asking love <33 🥹 lemme know if u want more/like how this sounds lol

• John stays in the army and continues flying. There are multiple times where they attempt to promote him to Colonel or General but he refuses, always opting to be a Major because 1) he was a Major with Gale and 2) he wants to stay avid on the field, he will never be comfortable sending young boys to fight and not be right there with them. If he’s a Colonel or General he’s got to stay back.

— John’s approach to war is Episode 5 coded during his conversation with Crank. He never heals from that completely.

•In 1965 John is recruiting doing military tours and training new flyboys. He’s leaving base one day and almost breaks his neck when he sees Gale with a beard, tattoos, and a patch riding by, yelling into the open air with glee. He’s curious of course, makes it his mission to find out who he is. Whoever this person is they have Gale’s face.

• Talks to Demarco who is from Chicago who tells him where some biker gang hangs. Tells Bucky to not get into any trouble “they’re real dangerous guys, bucky, don’t go startin’ nothing.”

•This is in the post but Zipco and Cockroach take to Bucky immediately. He wears the army uniform, but none of the arrogance and he can out drink almost any of the men there. Tell the Major to come around the bar any time he wants he ain’t no damn regular G.I.

•He stares at Benny constantly which irks him. There’s a look in his eye that Benny doesn’t appreciate, a gentleness that shouldn’t be directed at him because he isn’t gentle. His name isn’t Buck and he doesn’t want John saying his name in a tone like he’s meant to be revered. He isn’t anything, he just wants to ride his bike and stick with the gang. They make conversation once (the one also in the post) and the next time Benny sees him enter the bar while he plays pool he feels anger in the pit of his stomach, building until it has reached his throat and Benny does what he does — he hits him. Repeatedly.

•Bucky doesn’t hit back. He takes it and imagines it’s Gale’s touch. It takes Johnny, Zipco, and a few other guys to peel Benny off of him.

I wish I had a more concrete answer for you but at this point, I just don’t know. I have it written but it’s choppy at best and no where close to actually being finished.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t expect it anytime soon. Work is keeping me very busy and I’ve had some things arise in my personal life that have made focusing on writing incredibly difficult. I do want to finish it though and I plan to. That story specifically I hold very dear to my heart.

Realistically, I’m hoping to get it posted some time around the New Year. If it’s before that, it’ll just be a happy surprise, I hope.

Hallmark Mystery took to its Social Media last night to officially announce/deliver the exciting news ALL POstables (Signed, Sealed, Delivered fans) have been waiting for: "#POSTABLES, WE'RE BACK!" I captured the image above as soon as I saw it, and I may have squealed with excitement!

Hallmark shared this wonderful news with the image (above) of the main Signed, Sealed, Delivered cast - Eric Mabius, Crystal Lowe, Kristin Booth, and Geoff Gustafson - from the movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Home Again, and I must say, the series truly is returning to its Hallmark home - once again!

The last Signed, Sealed, Delivered film, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: The Vows We Have Made, was released in 2021, so it's been a long hiatus. Will the cast pick up where they left off—immediately after Oliver and Shane were married—or will time have gone by since then? Ironically enough, only time will tell. Certainly, there will be some changes; even the channel SSD premieres on has changed, from Hallmark Movies & Mysteries to Hallmark Mystery!
