During the start of his career, Salman Khan acted in the love story titled Love where he was cast opposite Revathy. Directed by Suresh Krissna, the film also starred Amjad Khan, Shafi Inamdar, Suhas Joshi and Rita Bhaduri. More than a decade later, Salman and Revathy crossed paths again in Phir Milenge (2004). But this time, Revathy was his director, along with a co-star, in the film that also starred Abhishek Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty.

Looking back at her bond with Salman and the making of Phir Milenge, Revathy told Bollywood Hungama exclusively that working with him was very easy because there is mutual respect. “Salman has always given me a lot of love and respect,” she said. “He accepted Phir Milenge in like two days. He heard it and he was like, ‘Aap direct kar rahe hain toh main kar loonga’ (If you are directing the film, I will do it). It was so nice.”

Recalling the shoot, Revathy added, “He was so amazing. He had to shoot for 5-6 days. He was absolutely very cooperative and giving. Once he comes on the sets, you feel like there is a lot of life.”

Revathy will be reuniting with Salman later this year in the keenly awaited Tiger 3. Speaking about Salman’s stature in the film industry right now, she said, “That (Phir Milenge) was in 2004. Abhi toh bohat bade star ho gaye hain (Now he has become a very big star). It is very nice to see the growth of a person you like.”

Phir Milenge dealt with the issue of HIV and AIDS. It told the story of a woman who gets fired from her job after her company realizes that she is HIV positive.

This year, Revathy is also gearing up for the release of Jagjivan Ki Patni Ka Teesra Pyar. Directed by Rajesh Bachchani, the movie sees her cast opposite the late veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who passed away in last November

My winter eladrin Gibbon du Hemlock shifts seasons to pursue different fake romances with wealthy people to con them out of their riches. He's horrible! :) Basically, if you're rich, he'll give romancing you + swindling you a shot. Revathi is a princess with a powerful connection to an Archfey. Marrying into the family would secure Gibbon a connection of his own and he'd have the power to create gold and all sorts of other things.

Hernando is a runaway prince who is close to death due to a magical sickness that is slowly corrupting his heart. Not long to wait for that one! Neither of those end up working out, sadly...BUT!

The very last one, a rich vampire named Domokos, turns out to be his well-earned karma by proving himself to be a life-long clinger whose murderousness and obsessiveness makes Gibbon's own insanity seem sane by comparison. They get married after Domokos turns Gibbon into a vampire to force their vows to truly be eternal. Good for them!

★ 'Salman Khan Is A Huge Star Now, I'm Very...': Revathy On Equation With Tiger 3 Co-Star!

Salman Khan and Revathy had shared screen space in the 1991 film, Love. The duo was paired opposite each other and their impish chemistry in SP Balasubrahmanyam and KS Chitra’s chartbuster love ballad Saathiya Yeh Tune Kya Kiya continues to melt hearts to this day. Despite being a loved onscreen couple, the actors weren’t seen in a film together again. 32 years later, however, they’ve reunited on Tiger 3. The actioner will see her taking on the role of Girish Karnad as the RAW Chief. 

Prior to this, Salman and Revathy collaborated on the film Phir Milenge (2004), where the latter directed the superstar. Speaking to News18 Showsha a while back, Revathy opened up on how their friendship has evolved over the years. She revealed that they don’t necessarily catch up very often but every time they get on a call, they pick up from where they left.

“He’s a very giving person. Whenever I’ve call him or want to meet, I just do it. He’s all love and care towards me. I feel the same towards him. I feel very happy when I see a good film of his. I always message him if I like his film and he replies to me. Sometimes it so happens that I message him after three to four years and tell him about a film that he has done,” she told us exclusively. 

However, their dynamic has changed quite a bit now that Salman has transformed from a chocolate boy to an action superstar. Talking about it, Revathy said,

“He’s a huge star now. So, it’s different. It changes our on-set dynamic too. There’s a totally different aura around him. As for me, I’m a very ordinary person who happens to love the work I do. Having said that, our personal equation will always be there.”

I was invited to join a more traditional ttrpg. My first big DND game and I’m so excited to bring Revathi and Dee into the adventure.

Revathi is a spring Eladrin and a princess who has been blessed by the Archfey Hauthtona, her patron. She feels the need to prove herself as a capable warrior and not a nepo baby. She is part of an adventuring party that’s trying to keep Tiamat from coming back and destroying the material plane.

Mouna Ragam (1986) is a romantic drama that I really enjoyed. And this particular dialogue by the female protagonist, Divya, reminded me of Devi from Never Have I Ever (2020 - 2023):

Translation: "I have many flaws - anger, stubbornness, arrogance, ego. I am not responsible or caring - I have many flaws like these. I'm telling you this because you should know about me."

Just like Devi, Divya is a brave and flawed woman, who marches to the beat of her own drum. Her story is very different from Devi's. But, I just wanted to celebrate two complex, female protagonists who also happen to be Tamil (and who end up finding men who love them exactly as they are).
