Physique: Average Build Height: 5’ 5½" (1.66 m)
Michael Tucker (born February 6, 1945) is an American author and actor, widely known for his role in the television series L.A. Law (1986–1994), for which he received two Golden Globe nominations and three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.

Handsome, short stature and slightly gnomish features, Tucker is probably one of the reasons I lust after short men to this day. He was one of the reasons I watched L.A. Law along with Richard Dysart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Married to actress Jill Eikenberry, they have a son together and he has a daughter from a previous marriage. Apparently, he does Yoga and Tai Chi, which means he’s flexible.
What? It means he can easily get into positions… for sex. You know I was going there with that.

Super Class
Fuck every single one of those bastards.
I remember the day it happened. The day my life was ruined. We were taking notes on the French Revolution when Richard Kissinger sneezed and electricity crackled out of his nose, Allison Fletcher's eraser flew up into her hand when she went to pick it up, and Hannah Dubel turned invisible not even a second later.
The class erupted into chaos with everyone suddenly discovering their newfound powers by the second. Yohan O'Connor kept shooting laser beams out of his eyes in random directions, Juna Lim was growing tall enough to hit the ceiling and then shrinking to the size of a bat, and Tommy Tucker kept crushing pencils like paper between his fingers in stupified awe.
"Henry!" My friend Tate Miller said giddily to me as if Christmas had come. "Look! Look! Look what I can do!"
He stuck out his palm and then ice suddenly formed in the middle.
"Cool!" I said excitedly. "I can't believe it! We're all getting powers!"
"Yeah! What can you do Henry?!"
"I dunno yet!" I said. "I'm still trying to figure it out."
His looked at me puzzled and his smile dropped. That's when the bullying began.
The media pounced on it like starving bloodhounds. They dubbed us "class super" and instantly hit national media.
The school was quick to act. We were suddenly living gold bars to them. Enrollment soared, investors begged for the school to take their money. The school became private. Our class was treated like gods and was basically allowed to do anything we wanted as long as we were still technically enrolled. Classmates began taking hero apprenticeships, movie roles, and going on talk shows.
Except me.
It caught on pretty quickly that I was the only one out of them to still be normal. They bullied me mercilessly. I think they were jealous I could still be a normal student and used me to relieve stress from their sudden stressful hero lives. But I don't care. Fuck them.
It was like a flip switched. They beat me. Humiliated me. Spat on me. Tortured me. Everyday was hell.
Hannah would turn invisible and pull my pants down. Jason Kurd would shoot fire balls at my feet and laugh, telling me to "dance!" Karen Deen would mind control me to do anything she wanted, from eating feces to making me act like a chihuahua. Tommy liked to punch me until I puked. All of them took part in something. The worse was when Tate and Richard played "Henry Hunting". They'd give me five minutes to run, then brutally hunt me down, drag me to the bathroom, then dunk my head in the toilet. Bonus points if their was already shit in it.Whenever I sobbed and begged them to stop, they mimicked my cries and laughed.
The principal must have figured I was their stress ball. He paid my parents big bucks to keep me from transferring. When I pleaded to them to not make me go while covered in bruises and burns, Dad would tut tut and say, "Henry, toughen up and be a man. You're being such a drama queen." Then go on luxury vacations with Mom. It only stopped when tried to kill myself. I attempted before, but this time was bad enough to land me in the hospital. Initially my parents wanted to send me back but I promised I'd kill myself for real if I did. They ended up kicking me out of the house.
And you know what happened to my classmates? They went on with their lives and graduated. They became celebrities. Actors. Heros. They had fan clubs. They had midnight specials. Riches. Awards. Admiration. Everything.
I had nothing. I dropped out. I was homeless while they lived it up. It was unfair. Eventually I tried to sell my story to the media but no one believed me. The school had worked hard to cover up my abuse. I hated them with all my soul but tried to get on with my life and live peacefully for the next ten years.
Until I found out about the reunion.
I saw a news reporter on televison saying this would be the first time the entire super class would meet up in person since highschool. My heart flamed. The "whole class" huh? I hadn't received an invitation. I shouldn't of cared, but the well of anger and injustice that had been swelling in me for years bubbled up. Why didn't I stop by for a visit?
The reunion was held in our old school gym. But it looked more like a fancy ball than a gym. It was pimped out with long expensive tables of every kind of food you could imagine, with silk banisters individually embroidered to have every classmate's face on them, except mine. There was a delicate ice fountain in the middle of the room and servers ran expertly to and fro, assisting guests. The media was banned from entering so the guests could have some peace to catch up.
They weren't expecting me to show up. I took satisfaction in their shocked faces when I came through the front door, dressed in a shabby grey suit. I smiled when I saw their faces. It made me burn with anger.
"Hello!" I waved to everyone enthusiastically. " Remember me guys?" Everyone looked uncomfortable.
I went up to the snack table and spotted Hannah Dubel.
"Hey Hannah! Long time no see."
She nodded uncomfortably in her expensive designer dress and didn't look at me.
"Good to see you too! Hey, remember when you used to forcibly pants me in front of others? I do, fun times!"
She said nothing.
"Ahaha of course. Stay quiet. What a great hero you are! Hey, you know what's strange? You guys actually forgot to send me an invitation! How funny huh?"
Richard stepped in between us. I knew from the news he had married Hannah. He was wearing his signature red and white hero outfit. The rest of our classmates watched on uneasily.
"That's enough Henry." He said. He too wouldn't look me in the eyes.
I gave him a hateful smile and clenched my fists.
"Hey, Dick, how've you been?" I said cheerfully, "heard you won the nobel peace prize? Hey, I'm hurt though. You didn't mention me in your speech! What with all the fun games we've played together?"
"You're acting immature." He said.
"Oh, I'm acting immature?" I snapped. "Hey, remember all the times I tried to commit suicide after you bullied me? Was it fun to watch?"
He looked alarmed and guilty but quickly looked away.
"What do you want Henry? An apology? We're sorry."
"No your not!" I hissed. "Fuck you guys. Fuck you for ruining my life."
I punched him. It didn't do much.
"Will fighting us make you feel better? Stop it Henry." He said.
I tried punching him again. I was even more furious how it didn't hurt him. I tried punching Hannah. This time He shoved me into the table.
It's embarrassing to say, but I died. The way the back of my neck hit they table snapped my neck. I thought that'd be it of my miserable life.
But I woke up. Cold, naked, and cut up in a morgue. I was lucky they didn't bury me. I'd learn later it was because they wanted to dissect me to try and understand why I was the only one who didn't gain powers back then.
I sat up on a surgical table, dazed, and looked down at my stomach. It was sliced open, and my guts plopped out gently onto the floor in a squishy mess. I was confused, and then I felt a warmth, and the slit in my stomach began to close.
It took a while for my foggy brain to process what was going on. I was in a morgue, my stomach had been cut open, and, it was healing? Then everything clicked. I laughed mirthlessly.
All this time- guess I did have a power!

AIR (2023)
Air is a 2023 American biographical sports drama film directed by Ben Affleck and written by Alex Convery. The film is based on true events about the origin of Air Jordan, a basketball shoeline, of which a Nike employee seeks to strike a business deal with rookie player Michael Jordan. It stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, Chris Messina, Chris Tucker and Viola Davis.
The project was announced in April 2022 with Affleck set to direct, as well as star and produce alongside Damon with their newly formed production company Artists Equity. Principal photography took place between June and July 2022 with Affleck reuniting with his frequent collaborators: cinematographer Robert Richardson and editor William Goldenberg. While Michael Jordan was not involved with the production, he did meet with Affleck, offering several suggestions, including the casting of Davis as his mother. Originally set to premiere on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video, distributor Amazon Studios opted to release the film theatrically first after positive test screenings, making it the first Amazon title since Late Night (2019) to be released in theaters without also premiering on Prime Video.
Air had its premiere at South by Southwest on March 18, 2023, and was released theatrically in the United States on April 5. The film received positive reviews from critics, particularly for Affleck's direction, Convery's screenplay and the performances of the cast, and has grossed $90 million worldwide on a budget of $70–90 million. The film also performed well on Amazon Prime Video streaming
Follows the history of shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro, and how he led Nike in its pursuit of the greatest athlete in the history of sports: Michael Jordan.
Critics' reviews
"Ben Affleck Turns Nike’s Quest to Sign Michael Jordan Into This Generation’s ‘Jerry Maguire’ (…) Viola Davis is to acting what Jordan is to sports: Her strength inspires, and she can move us to tears while making it look easy. Peter Debruge: Variety
"Each actor gives a powerful and award winning performance. 'Air' is a slam dunk and ultimately one of the best sports movies ever made" Marisa Mirabal: IndieWire
"'Air' is year's best film so far (…) Rating: ★★★★ (out of 4)" Richard Roeper: Chicago Sun-Times
"Affleck's directorial record is pretty impressive and 'Air' feels like his most inspired effort to date (…) Rating: ★★★½ (out of 4)" Brian Truitt: USA Today
"In his fifth feature film, Affleck’s talents exceed expectations. He’s grown as an actor and director but is best when doing both." Valerie Complex: Deadline
"As always, Affleck remains one of the directors who can disguise a powerful parable as giddy, crowd-pleasing entertainment." Richard Whittaker: Austin Chronicle
"Ben Affleck’s ode to Michael Jordan is affectionate and involving, even when it fails to convince"

RIP ROBERT MORSE
1931-2022
Tumblr media
Robert Alan Morse was born in Newton, Mass.  He was probably best known as the star of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, both the 1961 original Broadway production, for which he won a Tony Award, and the 1967 film adaptation.
Tumblr media
That same year (1967) Morse appeared with Walter Matthau, Lucille Ball, and a host of other comedy icons in a film titled A Guide for the Married Man.
Tumblr media
Ball and Morse did not share any scenes together.
Tumblr media
That finally changed when Lucy and Morse both did a week on the TV game show “Body Language” in 1984.  Morse played primarily with exercise guru Richard Simmons, while Ball was partnered with Isabel Sanford from “The Jeffersons.”  The game was essentially an update of “You Don’t Say” - televised charades; something Lucille Ball loved and was extremely adept at.
Tumblr media
He won a second Tony Award for playing Truman Capote in the 1989 production of the one-man play Tru. In 1992, he reprised the role on TV’s “American Playhouse”, winning a Primetime Emmy Award.
Tumblr media
He made his Broadway debut in 1955, as Barnaby Tucker in the play The Matchmaker, the play that later inspired the musical Hello, Dolly!  He also did the role on film in 1958. Morse created the role of The Wizard in the San Francisco tryout of Wicked, but did not want to relocate to New York for the Broadway run, so his role went to Joel Gray.
Tumblr media
Late in his career, he experienced a resurgence of popularity as Bertram Cooper in the critically acclaimed series “Mad Men” (2007–2015).  His final Broadway appearance was in The Front Page in 2017.
Morse was married twice and had five children. He died at his home in Los Angeles on April 20, 2022, at the age of 90.

R.I.P. Sarah Dash
Tumblr media
Sarah Dash, a co-founder of Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles, died at age 76 today of unknown causes. A native of Trenton, New Jersey, Dash started her singing career in the '60s when she formed the girl duo The Del Capris with fellow Trenton resident Nona Hendryx. She later moved to Philadelphia where she, Hendryx and Cindy Birdsong would join The Ordettes a singing group founded by Patricia Holte. Their name was changed to the Blue Belles by the record label owner who recorded their first single "I Sold My Heart To The Junkman." A court battle with The Starlets who originally made the song caused them to have their name changed again to Patti LaBelle and The Blue Belles. He changed Holte's last name to LaBelle and by 1963 the group had its first hit with "Down The Aisle." They had a few more charted singles with the Cameo-Parkway label including "Danny Boy," and "You'll Never Walk Alone" before the label went defunct in 1965. A move to New York City and a new deal with Atlantic Records took them to the next stage of their careers and a smash cover of "Over The Rainbow." Their contract with Atlantic ended by 1970 when they were released from their deal and Cindy Birdsong left the group in 1970 to join The Supremes.
Vicki Wickham, who managed the UK music show Ready,Steady, Go, became their new manager and reinvented their look and sound. She also urged them to simply use the name LaBelle. The women were now dressed in space suits and bright makeup and signed to Warner Brothers. The new rock-influenced sound failed to create any hits and by 1974 they were signed to Epic Records. It was the 1975 album Nightbirds that contained their signature hit "Lady Marmalade" known for its reference to New Orleans sex workers in the French chorus "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?." LaBelle had a number one hit and became world-famous reaching Gold Record status and becoming the first rock-oriented act to play The Metropolitan Opera House. They would release two more albums before the group dissolved in 1976.
Sarah Dash started her solo career in 1978 with a self-titled album that had the Top Ten disco hit "Sinner Man." Her 1980 dance single "Ooh La La, Too Soon," was famously used in a commercial for the popular Sassoon jeans. She also did session work during the decade with Nile Rodgers, The O'Jays, The Marshall Tucker Band and David Johansen.  A new deal with Manhattan Records in 1988 produced the solo album You're All I Need. Dash worked with Patti LaBelle again on the duet "Don't Make Me Wait" which was included on the album. She recorded more dance music with Jellybean Benitez in 1990 with the song "When You Talk To Me/Manhandled" and in 2012 the Jason King-produced "Hold On (He'll Be Right There)."
Dash toured with Keith Richards in the late '80s and appeared on two of his albums and The Rolling Stones' Steel Wheels in 1989. She reunited with Patti LaBelle and Nona Hendryx to sing "Turn It Out" for the Too Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar! soundtrack in 1995. They would have a proper reunion in 2008 and recorded the album Back To Now which was critically acclaimed. The release was followed by performances at the Apollo Theater.
Sarah Dash never left her Trenton hometown and she was revered there for always contributing to the community. She supported local arts communities and had recently encouraged people to get the COVID-19 vaccine. In 2017, she was named the city's musical ambassador.  Her charitable works in New York City raising money for single homeless mothers was recognized in the '90s by the deputy mayor of New York City. In 2016, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from The National R&B Music Society. LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade" was inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress in March 2021.

BernardoLovesAnita Watches 1961 - Commentary Highlights
As a kid I never appreciated the overture at the top of the movie and would always fast forward but Mr. Bernstein's music is so *chef's kiss*
I love the overhead shots of the city. New York City, my beloved. I miss you 😭
Ice (also known as Diesel) is the hottest Jet in this movie with Action close second.
I just love how everyone is scared of these white boys who just start fucking ballet dancing in the middle of the street. NOW that's not to say dancers can't kick ass. It's just funny as hell.
INTRODUCTION OF BERNARDO, MY BELOVED 🥰 Do I appreciate George Chakiris' brown face? Of course not. Would I still make passionate love to his Bernardo? YES! That red shirt. The hair. THE RED BRICK!
Tumblr media
The fact that Loco can spit that far and accurately is a fucking SKILL
Action calling for the Jets was a bitch move though.
Baby John is the only Jet I will ever have a soft spot for besides Anybodys BUT GODDAMN HE DESERVED TO GET HIS ASS KICKED
The huge fight at the park barely looks like a fight. It's like these guys are just performers who never got into a fight in their lives 😭
BUT WHY IT SOUNDS LIKE SCHRANK CALLS THEM COCKSUCKERS????? I know that can't be what he actually says because it's 1961 BUT DAMN it's in character for him
The Jets and Sharks hated each other but they hated the cops even more. West Side Story said ACAB first.
The ONLY flaw with George Chakiris' portrayal of Bernardo (besides not being Latino) was the brown face. Because the accent was accurate. His performance was just so fucking good. HIS FUCKING SASS AS BERNARDO IS STILL UNMATCHED! "Would you mind translating that into Spanish?" THE FUCKING AUDACITY His Bernardo was solid. I don't give a shit.
The pause before "friends" YOU KNOW Schrank wanted to say some stupid shit like a slur. FUCK LT. SCHRANK! THIS IS A SCHRANK SLANDER BLOG!
Anybodys really didn't deserve the treatment they received. Whether they were Trans or just a tomboy the treatment was trash and they deserved so much better.
Baby John is like "I don't want to die so let's just leave them alone" Bless you, you confused little man. 😭
The Jets are definitely younger in this film than the remake. I always saw them as high school drop outs. Anywhere from 16-22.
So Tucker Smith plays Ice but he also sings for himself and for Riff. And BOYYY it is so clear that it's Ice's voice coming out of Riff especially when Riff leaves and Ice starts singing. He's got a good voice though so I'm not even bothered by it.
Richard Beymer gets an award for being the prettiest Tony.
Riff jinxed everything when he said the thing Tony is looking for might be at the dance. RIFF YOU BITCH!
The lip syncing in this movie is so good. Still could fool me if I didn't already know about Richard and Natalie.
RITA MORENO'S ANITA WILL FOREVER BE THE BEST ANITA OF ALL TIME
Maria: "What happens when you look at Bernardo?"
Anita: "Its when I don't look at him that it happens."
I see you, Anita.
Maria: "I think I will tell mama and papa about you and 'Nardo in the balcony at the movies."
BROOOOO THE FUCKING DRAMAAAAA! Because I doubt Bernardo and Maria's parents would have given a shit. BUT ANITA'S FAMILY! THE SHAME! Men were allowed to be mischievous and sexual. They were allowed to bring a pregnant girl home. BUT GOD FORBID A WOMAN HAS CONSENSUAL SEX THEN SHE'S BRINGING SHAME ON HER FAMILY! My mom and I were talking about this happening in our own family.
Maria talking all that shit about the dress as if Anita doesn't know what's she's doing.
Bernardo and Anita are so in love my heart can't take it 😭
Chino: "but it is a lady's shop"
Anita: "we won't bite until we know you better"
I would die for that woman.
THAT TRANSITION FROM MARIA DANCING TO THE GYM IS STILL.OME OFY FAVORITE FILM TRANSITIONS OF ALL TIME
Maybe it's because I'm biased but the Puerto Ricans dances in the gym are so much better.
Tumblr media
The editing of this film for it being a '61 film is PHENOMENAL! Like the tunnel vision camera work or whatever it was when Tony and Maria see each other.
Tony is mumbling some nonsense and Maria is all "You're prettier when you don't talk MY HANDS ARE COLD"
There is a soft dumbness to Natalie Wood's portrayal of Maria that I always loved.
Bernardo coming in like a bat outta hell "GET YOUR HANDS OFF AMERICAN! STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER!" YOU TELL HIM "There's only one thing they want from a Puerto Rican girl." THE SAD TRUTH BEHIND THAT STATEMEMT
I'm sorry but Tony's bitch ass going "don't listen to him" I KNOW YOU HAD GOOD INTENTIONS BUT THAT'S NOT THE WAY TO DO OT DUMMY
Bernardo is RIGHTFULLY protecting his sister. WE KNOW Tony doesn't have ill intent towards her but Bernardo doesn't know that. He just knows that Tony hangs out with the assholes. Which I'm sorry but by association makes Tony an asshole.
Since Riff says to meet for the War Council at Doc's store and Bernardo agrees does that mean Doc's store is meant to be the nuetral ground? Because I ALWAYS viewed Doc's store as solely the Jets hangout.
Anita telling Maria "he's the old married woman" after Bernardo goes off on her is such SIL solidarity. Anita and Maria's relationship is so 🥺
Anita: "Sometimes, I don't know what is thicker? Your skull or your accent."
I would die for Anita.
Pepe: "You came with your mouth OPEN"
PEPE WAS WRONG FOR THAT 😭
1961's "America" is so fucking good! And again I can't stress enough how much the rebuttals are STILL so accurate.
Anita's purple dress is my favorite piece of costuming of ALL TIME.
Tumblr media
Speaking about the shots in this film, putting Bernardo and Anita in shadow is *chef's kiss*
They call It the balcony scene, but it should really be the fire escape scene
Why is Tony always atleast foot taller than Maria? I WANT A PRODUCTION WITH SHORT KING TONY
1961 "Gee Officer Krupke" has unmatched energy. It's chaotic and amazing.  And it does bring up a good point about how youth are treated within the system.
Casting Ben Cook as Mouthpiece in the remake was the wisest choice but they really missed a lot of opportunities with him.
Action got so much anger for such a short man. But like bitch me toooo 😭
Anybodys grabs Indio and his face is just like "wtf did I do?" 🤣
I know "w*p" is a slur for Italians but why my monkey brain went like Cardi B WAP???? But I mean if someone called anyone a wet ass pussy that could also be seen as an insult
Schrank is such a fucking CUNT! He makes my blood boil. Like Schrank talking so disrespectful to Doc. DON'T DISRESPECT DOC! NOT IN MY FUCKING HOUSE!
Poor doc. He's just in his store having to put up with the chaos of these poor bastards.
Anita: "After a fight like that, that brother of yours is so healthy."
Anita is thirsty AF for Bernardo but so am I 😭
Maria telling Tony to stop the fight is the biggest ask and the WORST decision. Because if Tony never showed up it would be JUST a fist fight. No one would have died. PLUS he promises her, but he doesn’t stop the fight and therefore breaks his promise.
The bridal shop wedding scene makes so much more sense than that remake's museum scene.
When Riff loses his knife and goes against the fence he literally yells "KEEP OUTTA THIS" before the Jets try going for Bernardo. WHY? Because it's a fair fight.
The way Bernardo looks down at the blade in his hand 😭 He didn't want it to go this way. And one of the Sharks telling Bernardo to run before Tony gets up. THEY KNEW NO MATTER WHAT IT WASNT GONNA END WELL FOR BERNARDO How could it? He was a brown man who just killed a white man. The law wasn't gonna treat him fairly.
Tony realizing what he'd done, turning over Bernardo's body and then screaming "MARIA!" hurts so badly.
Maria blissfully dancing on the roof before finding out the bullshit that just occurred. She's just in love and happy. Has no idea what Chino is about to tell her 😭
Tumblr media
The fact that Maria asks about Tony before wondering ABOUT HER FUCKING BROTHER gets me heated. Chino says "’Nardo and a knife" AND ALL YOU CAN THINK ABOUT IS THE BOY YOU'VE ONLY KNOWN FOR A DAY????
The scene when Maria beats on his chest yelling "KILLER KILLER KILLER" has broken me everytime I've watched as an adult. But I'm still bitter how quick she gets over that he MURDERED Bernardo. She's all "Oh? He killed Riff? That's fine then" LIKE BITCH THAT WAS YOUR BROTHER
Ice is like "if any of you bitches don't calm down we're all going to jail"
I NEVER REALIZED ANITA BRINGS HOME BERNARDO'S JACKET 😭 Wtf? So that means even in the original film she must have been the person who had to identify his body. WHAT THE FUCK?????
ANITA'S FEELINGS ARE VALID! She is a broken woman. She just lost the love of her life. And yes, she is looking out for Maria's best interest. This is the hill I will die on.
Schrank really walked in like he owns the place FUCK THAT DUDE
The scene in Doc's store between Anita and the Jets always had me fucked up even when I was a kid and didn't understand what exactly was going on. It's even more disgusting and heartbreaking knowing the context as an adult.
Tony's death scene in '61 is so much better staged and written than '21's version.
When Maria drops the gun and just breaks down 😭
Tumblr media
I love the way they did the credits. Written on graffitied walls. Perfectly fits the films's aesthetic.
Anyway 1961 West Side Story is still a masterpiece.

* Kacey Musgraves' romance with Dr. Gerald Onuoha is giving her butterflies -- the pair are so happy they found each other and while Kacey, who split from her husband Ruston Kelly last summer, is trying not to get too ahead of herself, her connection to the Nashville-based doc is off the charts and it's got the potential to go a very long way

It's a Baby!, is hoping Grace will follow in her animal-activist footsteps, saying having three generations of strong women working as conservationists is a dream come true
* Jennifer Garner said teaching your kids is a lifelong job, and certainly values are something you have to show them -- Jennifer, who shares kids Violet, Seraphina and Samuel with ex Ben Affleck, is staying true to her word and has led by example when it comes to things like kindness and patience and she won't let anyone in the house to judge or speak ill of people, and she enforces the same wholesome, traditional values that she was raised with and the kids have been taught to be loving, hardworking and fair -- Jennifer has always taken a kids-come-first approach to parenting, and it shows as they bake together, enjoy movie nights, read books and have very active lives and it's a very healthy, happy household filled with laughter and love
Page 38: Gwen Stefani has her hands full with her sons Kingston, Zuma and Apollo with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, but she wouldn't want it any other way -- Gwen's a tomboy, so having three boys wasn't daunting for her at all, plus she has fiance Blake Shelton by her side to pitch in with parenting duties and Gwen and the boys have a blast at Blake's ranch in Oklahoma where they enjoy riding their ATVs, and they play baseball and football -- it's not all fun and games, though because Gwen is big on boundaries and manners and she doesn't want to raise Hollywood brats and it's important to her that her sons be gentlemen

Today we remember the passing of Joey Ramone who Died: April 15, 2001 in Manhattan, New York
Jeffrey Ross Hyman, known professionally as Joey Ramone, was an American musician, singer, composer, and lead vocalist of the punk rock band the Ramones. Joey Ramone's image, voice, and tenure as frontman of the Ramones made him a countercultural icon.
Jeffrey Ross Hyman was born on May 19, 1951, in Queens, New York City, New York to a Jewish family. His parents were Charlotte (née Mandell) and Noel Hyman. He was born with a parasitic twin growing out of his back, which was incompletely formed and surgically removed. The family resided in Forest Hills, Queens, where Hyman and his future Ramones bandmates attended Forest Hills High School. He grew up with his brother Mickey Leigh. Though happy, Hyman was something of an outcast, diagnosed at 18 with obsessive–compulsive disorder alongside being diagnosed with schizophrenia. His mother, Charlotte Lesher, divorced her first husband, Noel Hyman. She married a second time but was widowed by a car accident while she was on vacation.
Hyman was a fan of the Beatles, the Who, David Bowie, and the Stooges among other bands, particularly oldies and the Phil Spector-produced "girl groups". His idol was Pete Townshend of the Who, with whom he shared a birthday. Hyman took up the drums at 13, and played them throughout his teen years before picking up an acoustic guitar at age 17.
In 1974, Jeffrey Hyman co-founded the punk rock band the Ramones with friends John Cummings and Douglas Colvin. Colvin was already using the pseudonym "Dee Dee Ramone" and the others also adopted stage names using "Ramone" as their surname: Cummings became Johnny Ramone and Hyman became Joey Ramone. The name "Ramone" stems from Paul McCartney: he briefly used the stage name "Paul Ramon" during 1960/1961, when the Beatles, still an unknown five-piece band called the Silver Beetles, did a tour of Scotland and all took up pseudonyms; and again on the 1969 Steve Miller album Brave New World, where he played the drums on one song using that name.
Joey initially served as the group's drummer while Dee Dee Ramone was the original vocalist. However, when Dee Dee's vocal cords proved unable to sustain the demands of consistent live performances, Ramones manager Thomas Erdelyi suggested Joey switch to vocals. Mickey Leigh: "I was shocked when the band came out. Joey was the lead singer and I couldn't believe how good he was. Because he'd been sitting in my house with my acoustic guitar, writing these songs like 'I Don't Care', fucking up my guitar, and suddenly he's this guy on stage who you can't take your eyes off of." After a series of unsuccessful auditions in search of a new drummer, Erdelyi took over on drums, assuming the name Tommy Ramone.
The Ramones were a major influence on the punk rock movement in the United States, though they achieved only minor commercial success. Their only record with enough U.S. sales to be certified gold in Joey's lifetime was the compilation album Ramones Mania. Recognition of the band's importance built over the years, and they are now regularly represented in many assessments of all-time great rock music, such as the Rolling Stone lists of the 50 Greatest Artists of All Time and 25 Greatest Live Albums of All Time, VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, and Mojo's 100 Greatest Albums. In 2002, the Ramones were voted the second greatest rock and roll band ever in Spin, behind the Beatles.
In 1996, after a tour with the Lollapalooza music festival, the band played their final show and then disbanded.
Ramone's signature cracks, hiccups, snarls, crooning, and youthful voice made him one of punk rock's most recognizable voices. Allmusic.com wrote that "Joey Ramone's signature bleat was the voice of punk rock in America." As his vocals matured and deepened through his career, so did the Ramones' songwriting, leaving a notable difference from his initial melodic and callow style—two notable tracks serving as examples are "Somebody Put Something in My Drink" and "Mama's Boy". Dee Dee Ramone was quoted as saying "All the other singers in New York were copying David Johansen (New York Dolls), who was copying Mick Jagger... But Joey was unique, totally unique."
In 1985, Ramone joined Steven Van Zandt's music industry activist group Artists United Against Apartheid, which campaigned against the Sun City resort in South Africa. Ramone and 49 other recording artists – including Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards, Lou Reed and Run DMC — collaborated on the song "Sun City", in which they pledged they would never perform at the resort.
In 1994, Ramone appeared on the Helen Love album Love and Glitter, Hot Days and Music, singing the track "Punk Boy". Helen Love returned the favor, singing on Ramone's song "Mr. Punchy".
In October 1996, Ramone headlined the "Rock the Reservation" alternative rock festival in Tuba City, Arizona. 'Joey Ramone & the Resistance' debuted Ramone's interpretation of Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World' live, as well as Ramone's choice of Ramones classics and some of his other favorite songs; The Dave Clark Five's "Any Way You Want It", The Who's "The Kids are Alright" and The Stooges' "No Fun."
Ramone co-wrote and recorded the song "Meatball Sandwich" with Youth Gone Mad. For a short time before his death, he took the role of manager and producer for the punk rock band the Independents.
His last recording as a vocalist was backup vocals on the CD One Nation Under by the Dine Navajo rock group Blackfire. He appeared on two tracks, "What Do You See" and "Lying to Myself". The 2002 CD won "Best Pop/Rock Album of the Year" at the 2002 Native American Music Awards.
Ramone produced the Ronnie Spector album She Talks to Rainbows in 1999. It was critically acclaimed but was not very commercially successful. The title track was previously on the Ramones' final studio album, ¡Adios Amigos!.
Joey Ramone died at the age of 49 following a seven-year battle with lymphoma at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on April 15, 2001, a month before he would have turned 50. He was reportedly listening to the song "In a Little While" by U2 when he died. In an interview in 2014 for Radio 538, U2 lead singer Bono confirmed that Joey Ramone's family told him that Ramone listened to the song before he died, which Andy Shernoff (The Dictators) also confirmed.
His solo album Don't Worry About Me was released posthumously in 2002, and features the single "What a Wonderful World", a cover of the Louis Armstrong standard. MTV News claimed: "With his trademark rose-colored shades, black leather jacket, shoulder-length hair, ripped jeans and alternately snarling and crooning vocals, Joey was the iconic godfather of punk."
On November 30, 2003, a block of East 2nd Street in New York City was officially renamed Joey Ramone Place. It is the block where Hyman once lived with bandmate Dee Dee Ramone and is near the former site of the music club CBGB, where the Ramones began their career. Hyman's birthday is celebrated annually by rock 'n' roll nightclubs, hosted in New York City by his brother and, until 2007, his mother, Charlotte. Joey Ramone is interred at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.
The Ramones were named as inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2002.
Several songs have been written in tribute to Joey Ramone. Tommy, CJ and Marky Ramone and Daniel Rey came together in 2002 to record Jed Davis' Joey Ramone tribute album, The Bowery Electric. Other tributes include "Hello Joe" by Blondie from the album The Curse of Blondie, "Drunken Angel" by Lucinda Williams, "You Can't Kill Joey Ramone" by Sloppy Seconds, Joey by Raimundos, "I Wanna Be Your Joey Ramone" by Sleater-Kinney, "Red and White Stripes" by Moler and "Joey" by the Corin Tucker Band, "I Heard Ramona Sing" by Frank Black, Amy Rigby's "Dancin' With Joey Ramone" and "The Miracle (of Joey Ramone)" by U2.
In September 2010, the Associated Press reported that "Joey Ramone Place," a sign at the corner of Bowery and East Second Street, was New York City's most stolen sign. Later, the sign was moved to 20 ft (6.1 m) above ground level. Drummer Marky Ramone thought Joey would appreciate that his sign would be the most stolen, adding "Now you have to be an NBA player to see it."
After several years in development, Ramone's second posthumous album was released on May 22, 2012. Titled ...Ya Know?, it was preceded on Record Store Day by a 7" single re-release of "Blitzkrieg Bop"/"Havana Affair"
