Zecora
Tumblr media
Full Name: Zecora Barboza
Age: 22
Height: 9.6 ft
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Heritage: Brazilian
Species: Boa Constrictor
Occupation: Carnival dancer/singer
Backstory: Before becoming the star of Carnival, Zecora hasn’t had much admiration as a child. Back then, her life consisted of bullies who taunted her for being a “desgraçada”. This was because of her home situation as she lived in a small rusty shack outside of the tight suburban houses with her mamãe. Despite raising Zecora as best as she could by herself, her mother was a bitter woman who did nothing to help her daughter against the harassment other than telling her to “endure like every women has learned to do”. Her father, on the other hand, was out of the picture. She never knew him besides being a rich yet disloyal man according to her mamãe.
Throughout half of her childhood, kids in her neighborhood tormented her with verbal attacks, physical abuse, and suicidal threats. For a moment, Zecora thought about giving up on life, but soon came to a revelation. The next time she met up with her bullies, she tricked them individually through lies, deception, and hypnosis into going against each other. Since then, her deceptive skills have improved as well as her confidence.
With this flourishing assurance within herself, Zecora has blossomed into Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival Queen. Dancing and singing for every performance and parade. Whereas behind closed curtains hid her dark dirty secrets of success.
Personality: Zecora’s actually easy to strike up a conversation with. She doesn’t mind talking to her fans and coworkers, especially when she’s feeling flirty. Paired with her high social status is her optimistic attitude, always looking forward to the best of things. This is prominently displayed whenever she prepares for any upcoming party or Carnival ceremony. Of course, her friendly demeanor is nothing more than a cover-up to hide her malicious intentions.
Likes: Being the party person she is, Zecora loves nothing more than samba dancing and singing in Carnival. She adores everything about her home country from the culture to the food and traditions. Although Zecora has met her variety share of admirers, she has her favorites. One in particular who considers himself “Greasy Sweet”.
Dislikes: Zecora is not a big fan of party-poopers, especially for the case of Sly Cooper after what happened in India at Rajan’s palace. And while she gets along with most of her accomplices, Felicia Bellemore and her boss, Cartrina Purrtrina, are not part of her social circle. Not only does the anaconda roll her eyes every time this Persian cat tries to upstage her in the most ludicrous way imaginable, but Zecora finds her immaturity and bratty attitude unbearable. As her superior, Cartrina, she doesn’t always follow her strict guidelines nor her illegal advices. Not because Zecora is not the type to get her hands dirty, but rather she doesn’t trust her boss. Despite the fact that Cartrina helped her reached stardom in the first place.
Strengths: Don’t let her extravagant looks fool you. Her tail is strong enough to pull anyone into a tight squeeze or fling them across the room. In addition to her species’ abilities, she’s a skilled swimmer and is into vore. Yeah, you heard that right. Zecora can swallow anyone in whole. As part of her career, she has the moves of a Samba dance and can sing. Of course, she doesn’t always have to rely on her voice to win the hearts of others. Her hypnotic pink and yellow eyes do the job.
Weaknesses: While she considers her spell-binding eyes her greatest strength, they don’t always work to her favor. Specifically for those who are either blind or wear glasses. Also, Zecora is a snake, meaning her only source of moving from one place to another is to slither. Anacondas are considerably heavy, so climbing is not a likely option for her. And while Zecora can swallow anyone, she has a slow metabolism and prefers eating those half her size.
Fun Facts:
Her mother died of malaria when she was around 18-20. This saddening news caused Zecora to develop anopheliphobia, constantly putting on bug spray and mosquito nets in order to avoid the same fate as the woman who took care of her.
Usually travels outside of her home country whether it be to perform for a special occasion or being invited to a party.

Size doesn’t matter, buddy (Felix Volturi) part 1
Tumblr media
Word count: 1370 Requested by: https://hiddlebatchship.tumblr.com/
You were waiting in the car for Alice and Bella, the engine turned on. You and Bella never really agreed with each other but none the less, you wouldn’t let her kill herself over your brother leaving her. You sat as still as a statue, listening for any disruptions. You could hear the whole conversation inside the house, thanks to your enhanced hearing. "It was Edward." The words were just a choked whisper, coming from Alice. "He thinks you're dead." "Rosalie told him I killed myself, didn't she?" Bella said, sighing. "Yes," Alice admitted. "In her defence, she did believe it. They rely on my sight far too much for something that works so imperfectly. But for her to track him down to tell him this! Didn't she realize, or care?" Her voice faded away in horror. "And when Edward called here, he thought Jacob meant my funeral," Bella realized. "You're not upset," Alice whispered. "Well, it's really rotten timing, but it will all get straightened out. The next time he calls, someone will tell him what really." Bella trailed off. Your eyes grew wide. “God damn it!” you cursed, realizing fully well what Alice meant. Your brother had a feeling for drama and your quick mind worked it out faster than Bella’s slower human mind. "Bella," Alice whispered. "Edward won't call again. He believed her." "I. Don't. Understand." Bella said. "He's going to Italy." It was quiet for a short while, probably Bella trying to comprehend what Alice meant. "NO!" The half-shrieked denial was so loud after the whispered words, it made even you jump up. "No! No, no, no! He can't! He can't do that!" Bella shouted. "He made up his mind as soon as your friend confirmed that it was too late to save you." Alice explained. "But he, he left! He didn't want me anymore! What difference does it make now? He knew I would die sometime!" Bella shouted once more, pain in her voice. "I don't think he ever planned to outlive you by long," Alice said quietly. "How dare he!" Bella screamed. "Oh, get out of the way, Jacob!" Bella said, earning her a chuckle from you. "What do we do?" Bella begged Alice. "Can't we call him? Can Carlisle?" You assumed Alice shook her head before answering Bella. "That was the first thing I tried. He left his phone in a trash can in Rio, someone answered it" she whispered. "You said before we had to hurry. Hurry how? Let's do it, whatever it is!" Bella pleaded "Bella, I don't think I can ask you to…" She trailed off in indecision. "Ask me!" Bella commanded. "We may already be too late. I saw him going to the Volturi, and asking to die." You cringed at Alice’s words. "It all depends on what they choose. I can't see that till they make a decision.” "But if they say no, and they might, Aro is fond of Carlisle, and wouldn't want to offend him. Edward has a backup plan. They're very protective of their city. If Edward does something to upset the peace, he thinks they'll act to stop him. And he's right. They will." Alice said. You cursed even more, ready to drag both Alice and Bella’s butts into the car and speed off towards Italy. "So if they agree to grant his favour, we're too late. If they say no, and he comes up with a plan to offend them quickly enough, we're too late. If he gives into his more theatrical tendencies we might have time." Alice explained. "Let's go!" Bella chanted. "Listen, Bella! Whether we are in time or not, we will be in the heart of the Volturi city. (Y/N) and I will be considered his accomplice if he is successful. You will be a human who not only knows too much, but also smells too good. There's a very good chance that they will eliminate us all though in your case it won't be punishment so much as dinnertime." Alice said. “Wait, (Y/N) is here as well? I thought she disliked me?” Bella asked. “No she doesn’t. She is just very protective over our family, and once again a human knowing about us is dangerous. She is waiting in the car, she didn’t want to frighten you or anything. She only wants to protect our brother.” Alice explained. "But, your fear is what's keeping us here?" Bella asked in disbelief, returning her attention to the topic. "I'll go alone if you're afraid.” "I'm only afraid of getting you killed." Alice said, trying to reason with Bella. Bella snorted in disgust, earning her a growl from you. "I almost get myself killed on a daily basis! Tell me what I need to do!" "You write a note to Charlie. I'll call the airlines." Alice said, knowing there was no way to convince Bella to stay. "Charlie," Bella gasped. "I'm not going to let anything happen to Charlie." Jacob's low voice was gruff and angry. "Screw the treaty." You rolled your eyes. The treaty was only set into place for the wolves at the time. "Hurry, Bella," Alice interrupted urgently. "Don't go," Jacob whispered. "Please, please, please take care of Charlie," Bella said. Alice was waiting in the doorway with a bag over her shoulder. "Get your wallet you'll need ID. Please tell me you have a passport. I don't have time to forge one." Bella nodded and then raced up the stairs. You watched Jacob with a close eyes as he and Alice were locked in some kind of confrontation in front of the open door, standing so far apart you. Neither one seemed to notice Bella’s noisy reappearance. "You might control yourself on occasion, but these leeches you're taking her to" Jacob was furiously accusing her. "Yes. You're right, dog." Alice was snarling, too. You were ready to step out of the car, to give this dog a piece of your mind, but Alice held her hand up slightly, signalling for you to stay put. "The Volturi are the very essence of our kind, they're the reason your hair stands on end when you smell me. They are the substance of your nightmares, the dread behind your instincts. I'm not unaware of that." Alice hissed between her teeth. "And you take her to them like a bottle of wine for a party!" he shouted. "You think she'd be better off if I left her here alone, with Victoria stalking her?" "We can handle the redhead." "Then why is she still hunting?" Jacob growled, and a shudder rippled through his torso. "Stop that!" Bella shouted at them both, wild with impatience. "Argue when we get back, let's go!" Alice turned for the car, disappearing in her haste. Bella hurried after her, pausing automatically to turn and lock the door. Jacob caught her arm with a shivering hand. "Please, Bella. I'm begging." His dark eyes were glistening with tears. "Jake, I have to." "You don't, though. You really don't. You could stay here with me. You could stay alive. For Charlie. For me." The engine of Carlisle's Mercedes purred; the rhythm of the thrumming spiked when you revved it impatiently. Bella shook her head, tears spattering from her eyes with the sharp motion. She pulled her arm free, and he didn't fight her. "Don't die, Bella," he choked out. "Don't go. Don't." A sob broke out from her chest. She threw her arms around his waist and hugged for one too-short moment, burying her tear-wet face against his chest. He put his big hand on the back of her hair, as if to hold her there. "Bye, Jake." she pulled his hand from her hair, and kissed his palm. "Sorry," she whispered before spinning and raced for the car. The door on the back seat side was open and waiting. Bella threw her backpack on the back seat next to her and slid in, slamming the door behind her. "Take care of Charlie!" she turned to shout out the window, but Jacob was nowhere in sight. You stomped on the gas and with the tires screeching like human screams spun the car around to face the road, speeding towards the aiport.

“What’s a handsome guy like you doing in a place like this?”
Magnus winked as the man opposite looked up, staring at him in surprise. Admittedly, it wasn’t one of his best lines, but there was only so much one could do whilst handcuffed to a bench.
“Sorry?” His companion asked, brow furrowing adorably as he glanced around as if Magnus had been talking to someone else. Given that the back of the van was otherwise empty, it was unlikely.
“I’m not surprised to see you here,” Magnus continued, “Because looking that good is definitely illegal.”
The man stayed silent. Magnus might have been exaggerating a little, even he found it difficult to look good in an orange jumpsuit, but his fellow arrestee definitely had potential. Even if he did seem to be lacking a sense of humour.
“Let me guess, you’re in here for burglary?” He tried once more, “Because you certainly stole my heart.”
“Assault, actually.” The man finally said, in a tone that clearly told Magnus to back off. Magnus ignored it.
“Well in that case,” He quipped, “You can hit on me any time.”
Wrong move. The man’s gaze immediately darkened, and Magnus realised that he may have slightly crossed a line with that one.
“Is this a joke to you?” His companion spat, and Magnus suddenly remembered that not everyone who got arrested was as nice as he was.
“My apologies.” He said quickly, “I’m afraid I have somewhat inappropriate ways of dealing with stress.”
The suspicion didn’t leave the man’s eyes, but he didn’t look like he wanted to punch Magnus anymore, so Magnus ploughed on.
“Magnus Bane,” He offered, “I’d shake your hand, but I find myself otherwise occupied.”
He shook his chained hand to emphasize his point, the handcuffs rubbing uncomfortably against his wrists, and was surprised when his companion smiled.
“Alec.” He offered in return, leaning back against the wall of the van as he relaxed slightly.
“A pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Magnus said dramatically, “Although, assault? I am surprised, my next guess was going to be failing to pay parking tickets.”
“Parking tickets?”
“Because you have fine written all over you.”
His joke was met with a flat stare, and Magnus was just about resigning himself to another few hours of silence when Alec suddenly laughed. Apparently Alec was as surprised by this as Magnus was, his eyes widening as he bit his lip to stop his chuckling, glancing nervously at the wall that separated them from their driver.
“He can’t hear us.” Magnus reassured him. “Seb has a disturbing enthusiasm for eighties synth-pop.”
Alec merely raised an eyebrow.
“This may not be my first trip to prison.” Magnus confessed dismissively, “I have somewhat of a reputation amongst the guards.”
“I’m not surprised.” Said Alec, completely straight-faced, “Those pickup lines were criminal.”
Slowly, a grin spread across Magnus’ face and he laughed with delight.
“Not bad, Alexander.” He said, gambling at Alec’s full name. Alec ignored him.
“Your turn.” He said, “What are you in here for?”
“I may have liberated a few pieces of cultural significance from a museum.” Magnus answered, “The original owners were rather pleased to have them returned. Sadly, the museum didn’t agree.”
“You’re an art thief?”
“Oh, I’d hardly call it art,” Magnus said, wiggling his eyebrows playfully, “Not now that I’ve met you. You, my dear, are a masterpiece.”
Alec shook his head with an amused smile, and, emboldened, Magnus continued.
“I’d certainly love to pin you to my wall.”
Taken by surprise, Alec lost it, actually snorting as his shoulders shook with silent laughter. Magnus leant back, smug, as Alec struggled to compose himself. He was on his way to three years locked in a cell, and yet somehow he felt lighter than he could remember feeling in a long time.
“You don’t strike me as the kind of man who would commit assault, Alexander.” Magnus said suddenly, and Alec felt the laughter dry up in his throat. He stared down as his lap, the reality of his situation suddenly lodging itself in his chest like a sack of bricks.
“I-” He said, and suddenly the urge to tell the truth was more than he could bear. “Are you sure they can’t hear us?”
He’d lowered his voice, glancing at the solid wall between them and their driver before looking back at Magnus, who nodded.
“I didn’t.” He confessed, unable to meet Magnus’ eye. “There was this guy, in this bar, and he was, basically he was being a massive homophobe.”
There was a hum of sympathy from Magnus, but Alec didn’t look up, knowing that if he stopped now he might never find the courage to finish.
“He started on me, got pretty violent, and my brother Jace had drunk too much, ended up putting the guy in hospital. When the police came, I lied and told them it was me. Jace already has a record, and this- they probably would have sentenced him to life. So I confessed, except the jury weren’t exactly sympathetic.”
“You pled guilty to save your brother?” Magnus asked softly, and if Alec had looked up he would have seen the tears that glistened in the corner of his eyes.
“Pretty much.” Said Alec, with a disparaging laugh. “Stupid, right?”
“Maybe.” Magnus replied, biting down everything he wanted to say about honour, and selflessness, and how he thought Alec might just be the best man he’d ever had the fortune of meeting. “But luckily for you, you’ve ended up meeting me.”
“Well that makes it all worth it.” Alec said, deadpan, finally looking up from his lap.
“It does indeed, because art liberation isn’t the only thing I’m famous for.”
“Oh?”
“I also have quite the reputation for escaping.” Magnus announced, wishing his hands weren’t cuffed to the bench so he could add a dramatic flourish. “In fact, my accomplice should be enacting stage one of my daring escape as we speak.”
“You’re going to flee police custody?” Alec asked incredulously.
“I never say no to a holiday.” Said Magnus, “Although it would be better with two. How do you feel about Rio?”
“Are you seriously asking me to go on the run with you?”
“It would make an interesting first date.” Magnus said with a wink, “And although that jumpsuit looks good on you, I’m betting it will look even better on my floor.”

Cyber Security Threats For The Tokyo Olympics
Tumblr media
Experts have warned approximately the opportunity of cyber-assaults via way of means of the ones searching for to purpose havoc all through the enormously disputed Tokyo Summer Olympics. During the COVID-19 pandemic, international tensions have elevated after a yr of developing cyber-assaults on many agencies. There are a few concerns as properly. As said via way of means of Neil Jenkins, the leader analytics officer of the Cyber Threat Alliance (CTA), “The Olympics are a large possibility for a country, on this case, Japan, to position its quality foot forward, to reveal off, to reveal the profits and strides that it has made, to growth tourism, to position itself on a higher area on the sector stage.” He additionally warned the media that “Any geographical region that isn't aligned with Japan may also see an possibility right here to attempt to embarrass Japan via a cyberattack.” The risks of Olympic cybersecurity aren't new. North Korean, Russian, Chinese, or even South Korean hackers are some of the Olympic cybersecurity activists with a records of attacking. Based on their assaults on beyond Olympics, we may also have a take a observe the not unusual place threats that CTA expects with inside the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and what can safety merchandise inclusive of Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) do to Olympics cyber safety.
• Targeted Attacks
Targeted assaults may also bring about extreme economic or reputational damage or losses to excessive-profile Olympic assets, people, or agencies, both monetarily or politically (for instance, broadcasting structures, Olympic commissioners, Japanese cybersecurity agencies). An instance of that is all through the maximum current Olympic chance incident. There is proof that APT28/Fancy Bear, a malicious hacker, centered anti-doping agencies as soon as again. In the center of September 2019, the chance actor started concentrated on at the least sixteen affiliated agencies, simply days earlier than WADA introduced that Russia may face in addition Olympic sanctions. Microsoft claims that (who refers back to the actor organization as Strontium). Although, the assaults had been ordinarily unsuccessful. CTA believes that anti-doping organizations and specialists, and offerings helping the Games’ operations and logistics, inclusive of WiFi networks and ticketing structures, are maximum vulnerable. In addition, vacationers and spectators, Japanese government and accomplice countries, Olympic companions and sponsors, and deliver chain and infrastructure providers also are feasible targets. In addition to geographical region risks, the 2020 Summer Olympics might be a outstanding goal for cyber thieves attributable to the excessive wide variety of capacity sufferers the use of net structures and visitors’ loss of cybersecurity understanding.
• Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS)
Advanced chance actors release state-of-the-art DDoS assaults. These assaults in opposition to Tokyo 2020 infrastructure or related networks may want to disrupt the supply of offerings or distract from different ongoing assaults. During the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, a large-scale DDoS chance executed via way of means of Lizard Strasser, a famous IoT botnet, happened. According to Arbor Networks’ Security Engineering & Response Team (ASERT) research, a department of CTA member NETSCOUT Arbor has been actively worried in permitting DDoS detection and mitigation at substantial events. Many of those assaults took place earlier than the Games started, however the adversaries elevated their efforts extensively after the Games started. Because of those assaults, CTA took a huge step to enforce Network Firewalls which can counter such superior DDoS assaults.
• Ransomware Attacks
Devices, offerings, and underlying infrastructure helping the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, together with player and tourist gadgets, transportation offerings, and point-of-sale structures, is probably centered via way of means of ransomware assaults. Cyber thieves may additionally hire ransomware to break operations for economic gain. High-profile ransomware assaults on authorities organizations have currently been not unusualplace withinside the United States. Attackers use this danger to head in opposition to the authorities and Olympic organisations in Japan. An assault like this can make Olympic-associated IT structures unusable at essential times. To save you ransomware assaults, it's miles crucial to be usually vigilant, with Sangfor Technologies, you could make sure your community protection from being accessed via way of means of attackers.
• Malware Attacks
Before the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics establishing rite on February 9, 2018, terrorists centered networks in an try to sow disruption and confusion. The attackers deployed a adverse virus called Olympic Destroyer, which knocked down the professional Olympics website, affected WiFi connectivity withinside the stadium, and brought on announces of the occasion to get disrupted. In addition, many visitors had been not able to gain and print tickets for the rite because of the assault. According to Cisco Talos’ research of numerous malware versions used withinside the assault, the attackers had been simplest inquisitive about interrupting the games, now no longer stealing data. According to Talos, the malware makes the sufferer system unusable via way of means of deleting shadow copies, occasion logs and trying to use local running machine features like PsExec and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to transport via the environment. Cyber actors may want to use this assault to damage the popularity of individuals, sponsor agencies, or the host nation. It will also be applied for political goals or to purpose havoc all through the Olympic Games.
• Data Leaks and Misinformation for Cyber Propaganda
These forms of assaults can damage the reputations of people, sponsoring agencies, or the host nation. It may also doubtlessly be applied for political goals or to destabilize the Olympic Games. Data leaks are a effective device for chance actors to inflict humiliation. Victims may also go through extreme consequences. In current years, misinformation, or deceptive data intended to mislead, has emerged as a critical concern. Data leaks are often found in aggregate with disinformation and propaganda efforts.
• Japan Readying
Their Security Measures Japan has numerous demanding situations in protecting the 2020 Olympics from numerous state-of-the-art and complicated cyber threats, lots of which end result from a widespread loss of guidance and incapacity to install area the essential cybersecurity safeguards. Researchers seemed into the cybersecurity chance panorama for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, in addition to training discovered from preceding Olympic Games, which actors offer a cybersecurity chance, and what coverage alternatives may assist planners control those risks. The team’s coverage pointers consist of making plans beforehand of time, participating and sharing knowledge, and allocating sources primarily based totally on risk. With the Summer Olympics swiftly approaching, cybersecurity arrangements are properly underway, and plenty of events have motion plans in area. Countering those state-of-the-art and adverse assaults from many nations calls for the usage of superior next-era firewalls. CTA has been operating with IT safety organizations to construct an appropriate next-era firewall for the enormously expected 2020 Olympics considering NGFWs are technologically state-of-the-art firewalls which can deflect such threats as the ones cited above.

Well, that was...
Anti-fucking-climatic.
Let me explain (lots of spoilers and not one bit of brevity):
- Okay, so the funeral was beautiful. And brief. Which is almost just as well because I could not have handled much more than that even though Sharon deserved whole episodes dedicated to mourning her. I wanted to see more familiar faces in the crowd. Pope. Brenda. Fritz. Morales. Jack. Gavin. Judge Grove. I know, I know, schedules and guest stars are hard, but it lost something without them.
- Emma Rios bit the dust. I’m not surprised. The foreshadowing was on point. Mostly, I’m glad it wasn’t Brenda. Sorry, Emma. ALSO, off topic, but homegirl is 35 and has that kind of house with a pool in LA? Man, I love subtle reminders about how underpaid my profession is. Also, this means she was prosecuting the Stroh case at 30 so damn.
- Andrea Hobbs losing her shit was all of us. That was the one moment that I nearly lost it. I wanted to hug that woman so badly.
- I did have a moment when I envisioned Taylor and Sharon greeting Emma in heaven and I had to start reciting multiplication tables to not cry.
- The wedding photos. God. Just make it stop. I want to be free of this pain. I think I said motherfucker about 50 times during these episodes and at least 10 of them were that scene. More on when I said the other 40 coming up...
- Was I the only one who disliked Sharon’s videos? I mean, I loved seeing Sharon, but...I was just like meh about them. I feel like those things are good in theory and bad in practice. It never sounds as heartfelt or genuine as an actual conversation and then that’s all you have left of your loved one. For me, it seemed very rehearsed and un-Sharon. Her last words to everyone just seemed so weird and not her. I also was a bit disappointed that Rusty got his own and no one else did. I almost feel like a letter to each person would have been more Sharon’s style (but of course not dramatic enough for TV or Duff).
- I’m glad Andy had a moment of actually showing minor anger towards Sharon.  I still think she put herself in harm’s way - #sorrynotsorry. To quote Brenda, “you didn’t have time to call it in, but you had time to take pictures?!” Sharon, you were too busy to go home even though you were sick but you had time to make videos in case you died? (And also, we later found out that Gus got the call about Sharon being in the hospital between 8pm - 9:30pm. So Sharon was working that late for that confession after being told to calm the fuck down?Great).
- I literally wanted to punch someone when Sharon called Ricky her firstborn. THEY COULDN’T EVEN GET HER POST-DEATH LEGACY VIDEO RIGHT? God, Duff, what the fuck. Do you even watch your own show?
- Okay - the Stroh case. I was almost glad to have something else to focus on instead of the grief, but what a fucking anti-climatic shit show.
- I don’t give a damn about the hacking accomplice. I’m mostly mad no one’s caught onto him yet and the scenes where we had to watch him watch the squad annoyed the shit out of me. Are we supposed to feel bad if he dies? Because I won’t.
- I really don’t give a good golly fuck about Stroh’s backstory. I would have, perhaps, if we’d gotten one on Sharon or Andy or even Amy or Tao or ANYONE or even Sharon AND Andy as a couple, but since we didn’t, then I don’t want nearly two hours of TV devoted to Stroh’s sociopathic past. Probably 20 of the roughly 40 remaining motherfuckers I said were directed at various parts of this storyline.
- Phillip Stroh became the “Red John” of this show (heyyy Mentalist people!), but instead of devoting seasons to developing the story line, we get it pelted at us in four episodes, on top of grief and wrapping up the series and the minor fucking relationship story lines. Joy.
- Thank God they caught onto the whole “Gus saw Stroh at his restaurant.” That was perhaps the only redeeming thing in the case that happened.
- Chief Mason is a fucking idiot. It’s like literally everyone else in the free world is aware of the threat of Stroh BUT him. Half of the time tonight was spent with basically everyone trying to convince Mason to give out protective details. ARE YOU SERIOUS? The rest of the motherfuckers I said were devoted to Chief Mason...what an honor.
- I swear to God, the promos that ran during 24 Hours of A Christmas Story for tonight’s episodes had a part where it showed “Rusty is next” scrawled on a wall in what looked like Sharon’s condo. Or somewhere. And that did not appear once in tonight’s episodes so WTF.
- I’m over Rusty and Gus and Cami and Wes. I don’t care. DON’T CARE.
- Is Wes the guy on the motorcycle? Because Provenza clearly sent him uncover to do whatever the fuck needed to be done and I’m pretty sure that’s him and not Stroh on the bike in the episode and in the elevator with the helmet on in the promo. I don’t want Wes to be the hero of this story. I barely want Rusty to be the hero of this story and he’s been around since Day 1.
- Can we talk about how Tony Denison got fucked over? He said himself in his Facebook live that he doesn’t do much in the final 3 episodes except look in Sharon’s office and look sad and damn if that isn’t the truth. He said in the vid that most of his role lately had been about being with Sharon and since she’s gone, he has nothing to do. That’s fucking sad. Andy was a prominent figure on TC and MC and Duff reduces him to this? This is EXACTLY what we complain about with female characters. Tony Denison also deserves better. And I don’t think, from the looks of it, he’ll be a major figure to take down Stroh and that sucks. I’d love to see Andy take him out for Sharon and to protect Rusty for her dying wish.
- ALSO, Duff said we would know what Sanchez wanted to ask her AND IT WASN’T SAID TONIGHT. More lies. I can’t.
- And, finally, it KILLED me when they ran the opening credits for 6.10 and Mary’s name had been removed. Ugh.
So, in closing, I did not find tonight nearly as traumatizing as I did annoying and somewhat offensive. I want these next two episodes to be over. I need closure and good fanfiction in which Sharon does not die. And please, I need Brenda not to die so that I have something left to cling to when the final curtain falls. #PrayersforBrenda #YouCanNeverHaveTooManyAngels

BREAKING:Brazil’s Foreign And Defense Ministers Resign

BREAKING:Brazil’s Foreign And Defense Ministers Resign
Tumblr media
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro stirred up the high levels of his organization Monday with the exit of his unfamiliar and protection pastors, as the extreme right pioneer confronted mounting pressure from a lethal flood of Covid-19.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Protection Minister Fernando Azevedo e Silva declared his unexpected takeoff in a short explanation, hours after an administration source disclosed to AFP that Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo had presented his abdication in the midst of discussion over the public authority’s issues getting more Covid-19 immunizations.
Azevedo e Silva, a 67-year-old armed force hold general, and Araujo, a 53-year-old profession representative, had both been in their posts since Bolsonaro got down to business in January 2019.
Azevedo e Silva’s exit, not normal for Araujo’s, was startling, and theory twirled over the explanation.
What is clear is that Bolsonaro has been on a cleanse, in the midst of developing disappointment — incorporating from key partners in the business area — over his treatment of a pandemic that has now asserted in excess of 312,000 lives in Brazil, the second-most elevated loss of life around the world, after the United States.

A week ago, he introduced his fourth wellbeing clergyman of the pandemic, and the heads of state-run oil organization Petrobras, state power organization Eletrobras, state-controlled bank Banco do Brasil and the public insights establishment, IBGE, have all fallen since the beginning of the year.
A hand out picture delivered by Brazilian administration press office shows Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro talking at the G20 Heads of State Meeting that this year was held by video gathering, from Planalto Palace in Brasilia on November 21, 2020. MARCOS CORREA/BRAZILIAN PRESIDENCY/AFP

“The public authority is amazingly delicate, as shown by the unsteadiness at the top,” said teacher Mauricio Santoro of Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ).
“It’s protected to say there is an emergency in the organization, past a couple of services.”
– Vaccine line –
The most recent purge came the week after Bolsonaro supplanted previous wellbeing priest Eduardo Pazuello, a military general, with cardiologist Marcelo Queiroga.
The president, who has since a long time ago opposed master guidance on the pandemic, presently gives off an impression of being discovering his assaults on lockdowns, face veils and especially antibodies could be an obligation as he intends up to run for re-appointment in October 2022.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Brazil is battling to manage a detonating number of serious Covid-19 cases and passings that have pushed its clinics to the limit, when antibodies are at long last assisting some different nations with managing the pandemic.
Immunization deficiencies have put the public authority distant speed to meet the wellbeing service’s objective of inoculating the full grown-up populace before the year’s over.
Araujo came in for analysis for the public authority’s battles to get more immunizations.
A critical individual from the public authority’s alleged “philosophical wing,” he respected previous US president Donald Trump, and shared his hardline allies’ disturb with “globalism.”
He caused a commotion with his assaults on “environmental change belief system,” “sex philosophy” and, since a year ago, “Coronavirus ism.”
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
“Globalists,” he said last October, “are taking an illness brought about by an infection, Covid, and attempting to transform it into an immense prescriptive mechanical assembly to reformat and control the whole planet’s social and financial relations.”
His immunization tact, or deficiency in that department, has come in for analysis.
The organization faces inquiries over its dismissal of an offer last August to purchase 70 million portions of the Pfizer-BioNTech antibody — which Bolsonaro kidded could “transform you into a gator” — and its strained relations with Brazil’s top exchange accomplice, China.
Chinese-created CoronaVac is at present the most-directed Covid-19 antibody in Brazil, however simply because the public authority of Sao Paulo state challenged obstruction from the Bolsonaro organization to get it.
Araujo, who took up the unfamiliar clergyman present vowing on “oppose Maoist China” and its arrangement “to overwhelm the world,” had more than once incited quarrels with Beijing.

Re-imagining Persona 3 Portable’s Social Links: Part 1
I’ve been playing FeMC’s route in Persona 3 Portable, and I’m really like the changes made to the gameplay so far. The changes made to the story are also nice, but I feel they didn’t go far enough, specifically with the Social Links, though I realize it was probably a matter of disc space. (Under a cut for length; I discussed most of this with voodooistcorp last night, because re-imagining things is fun!)
Junpei, Ken, and Koromaru replacing Kenji, Chihiro, and Yuko makes sense. They’re all party members who didn’t have Social Links in the base game or FES, and the people they’re replacing share their Arcana. However, Akihiko (Emperor) and Shinjiro (Hierophant) replace Mamoru (Star) and Nozomi (Moon). Mamoru certainly wouldn’t make sense in the FeMC route, but they could’ve put a female sports rival for her in his place just like they swapped out Kazushi for Rio, and Nozomi also wouldn’t make sense in the FeMC route because the MC reminds him of his dead brother, but I personally would’ve replaced him with Ryoji (Fortune) instead. (To be honest, I would’ve replaced Nozomi with Ryoji on the MC route, too.)
I have to wonder why Hidetoshi (Emperor) and Bunkichi and Mitsuko (Hierophant) were considered irreplaceable? In Bunkichi and Mitsuko’s case, the MC reminds them of their dead son, so why would they bond so quickly with the FeMC? Besides them being nice people, I mean. As for Hidetoshi, I feel like Saori should’ve been our Student Council Social Link instead. We know the vice president is female and gets accused of smoking, similar to Saori, and student council is considered a committee, so why have the FeMC join two committees?
Okay, so now we’ve got Akihiko as Emperor (FeMC), Shinjiro as Hierophant (FeMC), and Ryoji as Moon (MC/FeMC), with a possible female sports rival as Star and Saori as vice president of the student council; I’d also replace Mitsuru with Saori on the FeMC route and Kenji with Junpei on the MC route. From what I’ve heard, Mitsuru’s Social Link isn’t that different between the two routes compared to Fuuka’s and Yukari’s, and I think it’d be nice for both the MC and FeMC to be able to Social Link with all the SEES members in their year.
Let’s turn our attention to the other shared Social Links, shall we? Not counting the ones that level up with the plot, we’ve got Maiko (Hanged Man), Bebe (Temperance), Tanaka (Devil), Mutatsu (Tower), Akinari (Sun), and Aigis (Aeon). Maiko really isn’t necessary, and since we’ve got Hermit and Fortune freed up, we could easily do Social Links for all the Strega members: Jin (Hermit), Takaya (Fortune), and Chidori (Hanged Man). Chidori’s would play out similar to her relationship with Junpei, and having her as a Social Link to insure she still gets saved would free up Junpei to be romanced instead of Ken. Jin and Takaya could also be saved if you’ve maxed them out before a certain point, though I’m not sure when that should be. (You meet them as enemies for the first time during the August Full Moon Operation, but that seems kinda early. Maybe before Takaya kills Shinjiro/puts him in a coma?)
Tanaka can gtfo; I’d much rather have Elizabeth as Devil for the MC and Theodore for the FeMC. Mutatsu’s another character who projects someone onto the MC, namely his estranged son, so he can be replaced. Now, who do we know who’s important to the plot, but doesn’t have a Social Link? Oh yeah, Ikutsuki! I think Tower fits him really well; I can’t see him being saved, but I could definitely see them giving you something like the Accomplice Ending in Persona 4 Golden if you max him out before his betrayal and choose to side with him. For Aigis I’d kinda prefer to make her Chariot and move Kazushi/Rio down to Star, cutting out Mamoru/female sports rival.
Lastly, Bebe and Akinari...I’d kinda like to replace them, if for no other reason than to have as many unique Social Links for the the FeMC as possible, but I don’t know who I’d replace them with. There’s no other major character I can think of who hasn’t been given a Social Link with this re-imagining, and the only thing the FeMC needs is a culture club link. Bebe could probably stay, just changing how the FeMC meets him since he goes to your school anyway, and it’s just chance you run into him in Bunkichi and Mitsuko’s shop; Akinari would require more reworking to make him fit.
In conclusion, the Social Links would now look like this:
Tumblr media
And that seems like a good place to stop; I’ll cover how I’d go about handling the Strega and Ikutsuki Social Links (as well as romances) in Part 2.

Gov. Greg Abbott rejects aid from Biden administration in dispute over coronavirus testing for migrants
Abbott said it is the federal government’s responsibility to test the migrants.
Gov. Greg Abbott appeared this week to rebuff help from the federal government to give coronavirus testing to migrants before they are released from federal custody, saying it's a federal responsibility to screen immigrants coming into Texas.
The announcement came after Abbott, a Republican, repeatedly accused the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden of “releasing immigrants in South Texas that have been exposing Texans to COVID.” The Biden administration denied that Thursday, and CNN reported that Abbott was “stalling” on a federal offer to pitch in on testing migrants.
Abbott and Biden have been fighting for days over coronavirus safety protocols and whose actions have been putting the health of Texans at risk. After Abbott announced this week that he was lifting Texas' statewide mask mandate and capacity restrictions on businesses, Biden called that decision "Neanderthal thinking." Abbott shot back in multiple interviews and social media posts that Biden's immigration policies were the real threat to Texans and accused the president of releasing migrants with COVID-19 into Texas.
"The Biden Administration is recklessly releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants who have COVID into Texas communities," Abbott wrote in one tweet Wednesday afternoon.
Asked for evidence of that claim, Abbott's office pointed to news reports from NBC News, Fox News and the New York Post earlier this week that 108 migrants had tested positive since Jan. 25 in Brownsville after being released by federal authorities. The city has been conducting the tests since late January. It's unclear from the reports how many of the asylum seekers are staying in Texas. The majority of migrants apprehended by or who surrender to federal authorities usually leave for places farther north.
Migrants released from custody while their asylum cases are pending are given notices to appear for court, a document that, when issued, signals the beginning of removal proceedings for migrants if they cannot convince federal authorities they have the right to stay. The office of Customs and Border Protection in South Texas did not respond to a request for comment seeking more information about the testing process.
The testing in Brownsville was reportedly administered by the city. NBC reported that 6.3% of the migrants tested were confirmed to have the coronavirus. That rate is smaller than the positivity rate statewide, in which an average of 8.3% of tests came back positive over the past seven days. The 108 tests over the past five weeks is a small share of the more than 3,800 confirmed cases in Cameron County reported by the state since Jan. 25.
After Abbott began upbraiding Biden for releasing the migrants, CNN reportedthat the Department of Homeland Security had tried to use Federal Emergency Management Agency dollars to help local officials test migrants released from federal custody and isolate them if they test positive. The grant money needed state approval to be allocated, CNN reported.
Abbott seemed to make clear Thursday that he was not interested in the federal offer. He argued in a statement that border security is “strictly a federal responsibility,” and thus the Biden administration alone should “test, screen, and quarantine” migrants who may have COVID-19.
“Instead of doing their job, the Biden Administration suggested it did not have the sufficient resources and, remarkably, asked Texas to assist them in aiding their illegal immigration program,” Abbott said. “Texas refused.”
On Saturday, Abbott announced that the Texas Department of Public Safety would integrate with the Texas National Guard to "deny Mexican Cartels and other smugglers the ability to move drugs and people" into the state in what is being called Operation Lone Star. In a release announcing the operation, Abbott accused the Biden administration of inviting illegal immigration.
"Texas supports legal immigration but will not be an accomplice to the open border policies that cause, rather than prevent, a humanitarian crisis in our state and endanger the lives of Texans," Abbott said in a statement. "We will surge the resources and law enforcement personnel needed to confront this crisis."
Asked about Abbott's statement on testing, the White House referred to comments that press secretary Jen Psaki made Thursday that the federal policy is for coronavirus testing for migrants released from custody "to be done at the state and local level with the help of NGOs [nongovernmental organizations] and local governments." She added that the policy states that migrants should be tested "before they are even moved to go stay with family members or others they may know while their cases are being adjudicated."
Since before the 2020 election, the number of migrants apprehended on the border has increased significantly. From October through January, more than 296,000 undocumented immigrants have been apprehended. That's more than half of the 458,000 apprehended in all of the 2020 federal fiscal year, according to federal statistics.
The Biden administration has also stopped adding migrants to the Trump-era Migrant Protection Protocols, which forced tens of thousands of asylum seekers to wait in Mexico for their hearings in American courts. Some of the first MPP arrivals began entering Texas last week at Brownsville and El Paso, but they are tested for COVID-19 before entering, confirmed Ruben Garcia, the director of the Annunciation House shelter network that is temporarily housing the migrants.
The release of asylum seekers from custody with notices to appear has been a lightning rod issue for Republicans who incorrectly claim that most asylum seekers ignore the notices and instead try to live in the shadows unlawfully. A 2019 study from the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse at Syracuse University, which uses Freedom of Information Act requests to track immigration court cases, found that more than 80% of all migrants show up for their court hearings, and that number increases to nearly 100% if the asylum seekers have representation.
But Abbott said Thursday that Texas “will not aid a program that makes our country a magnet for illegal immigration.”
Texas has already been sending tests to border communities, however. The Texas Division of Emergency Management confirmed to the Tribune that it has provided testing to "local officials in border communities who have been responding to an influx of individuals crossing the international border."
"Since the end of January, the state has provided 40,000 COVID-19 tests to Brownsville, McAllen, Laredo, and Del Rio to meet the testing need not being fulfilled by the federal government," the division's spokesperson, Seth Christensen, said in a statement.
As for whether the state will provide more tests to border cities, Christensen said TDEM "does not have any outstanding requests from our local partners for testing resources."
Abbott's comments about migrants with coronavirus have sparked dismay among many advocates along the border. The governor, along with other Texas politicians, has a history of describing migrants in terms that suggest they are a threat. In 2019, a day before a gunman targeting Mexicans killed 22 people in El Paso, Abbott sent out a campaign mailer calling on supporters to "DEFEND" Texas at the border. He later said "mistakes were made" about the mailer.
Clara Long, the associate director with the U.S. Program at Human Rights Watch, said Abbott’s comments this week are disturbing but not surprising as the governor tries to distract from his own executive order, which critics say will put Texans at risk.
“That fact that that is just such a political statement seems so revealed by the mask [order],” she said. “Do you care about people’s health or do you not? But it’s just clear it’s not about protecting Texans or protecting migrants. It’s about political gain.”

How I was tricked into killing Kim Jong Un's brother
Tumblr media
Young mother fooled into smearing Kim Jong Un's brother with deadly nerve agent in 'prank' that she thought would make her a YouTube star is tracked down to remote village
They were words Siti Aisyah had long dreamed of hearing, spoken by the filmmaker who had plucked this naive farmer's daughter from obscurity in order to make her a star. 'If today goes well you will be known all around the world,' he told her. 'You can become a famous actress.' In some ways the filmmaker was right: Siti did indeed become world famous – but not for the reasons she expected. Instead her name is now synonymous with one of the world's most audacious murders, the assassination of North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un's playboy brother Kim Jong Nam. He died in agony in February 2017 after being smeared with the deadly nerve agent VX at Kuala Lumpur international airport. He had been killed in broad daylight – by two young women who maintain they believed they were taking part in nothing more than a simple prank for the video sharing site YouTube. Despite their protestations of innocence, Siti and her fellow 'actress', Duong Thi Huong, faced the very real prospect of the death penalty and spent more than two years in prison – much of it in solitary confinement – before they were dramatically released earlier this year when the murder charges against them were unexpectedly dropped. Ever since, Siti has determinedly kept a low profile, returning to her remote home village in rural Indonesia to try to pick up the pieces of her life. Only now, tracked down by The Mail on Sunday, has she decided to tell her extraordinary story in full for the first time. In turns remorseful, angry and bewildered, Siti describes how it feels to have been so ruthlessly exploited by killers who did not care if she too would live or die. Indeed, it is only by fluke that she didn't succumb to the deadly poison herself. 'I had no idea what I had done,' Siti says, fighting back tears. 'They told me they were going to make me a star. I feel so foolish for believing them so easily. I didn't know who Kim Jong Un was before all of this. I didn't even know where North Korea was. I feel bad about what happened to Kim Jong Nam and I wish I had never been involved. If I could turn back time, I would never have agreed to do any of it. 'When I got out of prison I looked up my name on the internet and finally realised what it had all been about. I thought, 'How can I have been caught up in such a big murder case involving these important people?' I am just a girl from a small village. I just believed I was playing pranks. That's all I ever thought.'
Tumblr media
He had been killed in broad daylight (CCTV footage shows the moment of the attack) – by two young women who maintain they believed they were taking part in nothing more than a simple prank for the video sharing site YouTube Certainly few could deny that Siti makes the most unlikely of assassins. Tiny and looking much younger than her 27 years, it is hard to believe she is the mother of a ten-year-old boy, Rio, who was just seven when she was imprisoned. Her story reads like something out of a far-fetched paperback thriller: a beautiful young woman is recruited by secret agents to fulfill a deadly and clandestine mission. Her excuse – that she didn't know anything about the murder plot – is even more outlandish. Yet meeting her in the modest home she shares with her devout Muslim parents in an impoverished village goes some way to explaining that. Their simple one-storey house is down a dirt track flanked with coconut and mangrove trees and the living room wall is decorated with treasured family photographs and verses from the Koran.
Tumblr media
The victim complains to to officials at Kuala Lumpur international airport moments after he was smeared with the nerve agent Siti's interest and knowledge of the wider world is sketchy at best: she couldn't tell you, for example, who Donald Trump is. The youngest of three children, she left school at 12 and, by 17, was married with a son. 'I was only happy for the first three months. I soon found out my husband liked gambling and women and never supported me financially,' she says. The marriage broke down and she left her son in the care of her parents-in-law to become one of thousands lured into making a living in the sex industry in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur. By 2017 she was working as a masseuse in the city's Flamingo hotel, and picking up night-time clients at the sleazy Beach Club Cafe where, in the small hours of a January morning, she had an encounter with a taxi driver which would change the course of her life for ever. 'He told me he had a Japanese client who was looking for someone to act in a reality TV show and he said I had just the right look,' she recalls. Flattered, Siti went to a meeting in an upmarket shopping mall the next day where she met 'James', who told her he was a Japanese TV producer making Candid Camera-style shows for YouTube. In fact, James – real name Ri Ji U – was a 30-year-old North Korean agent. Unable to speak Indonesian, he communicated via Google Translate. Siti's first 'job' was straightforward enough, if a little odd – and at £80, the pay was lucrative: she merely had to approach three men at random in the local mall and smear baby oil on them before apologising and walking away while James filmed it on his iPhone. 'Afterwards he told me I had done a good job and there would be more work like this for me,' she recalls.
Tumblr media
Kim Jong Nam (pictured) died in agony in February 2017 after being smeared with the deadly nerve agent VX at Kuala Lumpur international airport 'I was nervous about doing the pranks at first in case someone reacted badly or hit out but I was very happy to have the work. I questioned why anyone would want to watch this sort of thing but they told me Japanese audiences loved it and the videos were being edited in Singapore for a big TV show. 'I had earned 400 ringgits (£80) for 15 minutes' work. In the hotel where I worked as a masseuse I only earned 20 ringgits (£4) for each customer.' In the following weeks, Siti was summoned by James to carry out similar pranks in other malls and at Kuala Lumpur airport. The drill was always the same: James would put lotion on Siti's hands before she approached her bemused victims from behind and wiped her hands on their face. Then, after a quick apology, she would make a swift exit and pocket a payment – now increased to £100 – for each successfully completed 'prank'. Never once, she says, did she question the nature of her new work – which she now knows was, in reality, training for just one single murderous mission. 'James told me he would take me to America,' she recalls. 'I even gave him my passport so he could arrange visas for me. I was very excited. I thought this was going to change my life and I would be able to leave my old life behind.' Siti admits she was developing feelings for James – and that may well have made it easier for her to dispel any lingering misgivings. 'I liked him because he was handsome, but he was shy around women,' she says. Their friendship did not last: within weeks Siti was flown to Cambodia and linked with another 'producer' called Mr Chang – in reality another Korean handler by the name of Hong Song Hac. Mr Chang spoke fluent Bahasa, Siti's mother tongue, but she says: 'I didn't like him. When he got serious, I was a little bit afraid of him.' The work was the same however, and Siti continued to film pranks for money in both Phnom Penh and Kuala Lumpur. Behind the scenes, the North Koreans were desperately trying to track Kim Jong Nam – who was constantly on the move – in order to carry out their deadly plan. The only credible rival to his brother, they had long fallen out and for years he had been a dead man walking as the regime suspected he was passing secrets to the US. As the North Koreans closed in on their target, they tracked him as he returned to Malaysia where, police sources confirmed to The Mail on Sunday, he met a CIA agent and exchanged a laptop full of data for a wad of $100 bills. Two days before the assassination Siti, now back in Kuala Lumpur, recalls being given a $200 bonus by Mr Chang. 'When I asked what the money was for, he said it was because I worked very well in Phnom Penh and his boss was very happy with me.' She was told her next job could propel her to international stardom. 'I didn't think I was going to be famous,' she insists. 'I liked the money.' It's clear that she was flattered, though, and was convinced enough to tell her friends at a 25th birthday party at Jakarta's Hard Rock cafe the following night. In what proved to be an eerily prescient clip, captured on her mobile phone, one of Siti's friends boasts that 'Siti is going to be a celebrity.' Little could they imagine the reason why. The following day Siti arrived at a Kuala Lumpur airport coffee shop to meet 'Mr Chang' for a briefing on her latest prank. He told her this one would be slightly different: not only did he have a particular target in mind but Siti would carry it out with another 'actress' who at the last moment would approach him from another direction. As with every previous prank, the 'filmmaker' then took out a small container, the size of a hotel shampoo bottle and poured liquid on to Siti's hands, pointed out her target in the busy airport departure lounge, and sent her off in his direction. 'Mr Chang told me the man was a big boss in his company,' she says. 'He said he was very arrogant and might get angry so I should carry out the prank and then get away as quickly as I could.' It's one reason Siti admits she was unusually nervous as she walked towards the man she now knows was Kim Jong Nam. She recalls being just two steps away from him when her accomplice Huong suddenly cut across her path from a different direction and placed her hands over his eyes. 'He looked annoyed and upset,' Siti says. 'I thought, 'He looks like a rich man and he is clearly angry and he might report us to the police.' Initially, intelligence officials thought that each woman may have been carrying different chemical components which, though harmless on their own, would create a deadly compound when mixed together. In fact, both women were carrying the lethal VX poison on their hands and were very nearly killed themselves in the process. Siti and Huong fled in different directions after the attack and both went straight to different washrooms to clean the sticky liquid off their hands – an act that would almost certainly save their lives. Just yards away Kim Jong Nam was writhing in agony on the concourse floor, his vital organs shutting down one by one. It would later emerge that Kim Jong Nam was carrying an antidote to VX in his backpack but in the grip of blinding pain had not thought to use it. After approaching airport officials he was taken to a clinic and died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.
Tumblr media
Siti Aisyah (pictured), smiled as she was seen leaving Shah Alam High Court in Malaysia in March after prosecutors unexpectedly dropped the murder charge against her Oblivious to the unfolding horror, Siti would then spend three hours ambling around the airport's shopping mall, buying clothes and having lunch before returning to the city's Flamingo hotel where she worked as a masseuse between filming assignments. So unaware was Siti of the international drama that when, two nights later, police arrived to arrest her, she initially thought it was another YouTube prank. They said, 'Where were you on the 13th? Were you at the airport?' I said yes, I was shooting a video. They asked why I didn't ask for permission and said, 'Come with us to the police station.' I thought it was just a random police check on foreign workers. 'Then at the police station they told me I had been involved in the murder of a president's brother. I just laughed and said 'You must be joking' and asked them to give me my passport and my phone and let me go home. But they got angry with me and put me in handcuffs.' Siti was taken to hospital, where traces of VX were found on the top she was wearing at the airport. It was a fortnight before she was allowed to see a lawyer ahead of her first court appearance where she was charged with murder – a crime which in Malaysia carries a mandatory death penalty. 'I was absolutely terrified when I realised I might be executed,' Siti says, her eyes once more filling with tears. 'I was so confused. How could I be in this situation? I cried every day for three months. I couldn't eat and I couldn't drink. I thought I'd never see my son again. With a forthcoming trial hanging over her, Siti spent the first year of her imprisonment in solitary confinement, her only company aside from legal and embassy visits the prison guards who watched her room and mercilessly taunted her. 'They asked me if I wanted to commit suicide because it was such a big case that I was involved in. Another time one of them told me that if I didn't plead guilty, North Korea would bomb my home country, Indonesia,' she says. Her only contact with her parents meanwhile was a weekly 15-minute phone call. 'The first time I called them I just cried,' she says. 'Even now my parents have never asked me about the case. They've seen it on the TV news, so they know what it was about, but they don't want to think about what I've been through.' After several months of agonising delays, Siti's trial was set to begin in March. Then in another dramatic development the murder case was dropped. No reason was given, with Malaysian prime minister Mahathir Mohamad insisting there had been no negotiations but that the decision had merely been in line with 'the rule of law'. Her charge was reduced to 'administering a poison', a crime for which she had already served the necessary jail time. Siti's lawyer Gooi Soon Seg told The Mail on Sunday that the real killers must be brought to justice. 'It was a brilliant plot when you think about it. The plan was for Kim Jong Nam to walk straight on to his flight and die on the plane. It would have been classified as a heart attack and everything would have gone unnoticed. 'They brought VX into the country – that is tantamount to a declaration of war,' he says. 'The people who planned this murder should absolutely be brought to justice.' It's perhaps a final irony that her own role in this political killing helped Siti to achieve the celebrity she craved: treated like a VIP upon her release, she was flown home by private jet and taken straight to see the Indonesian president. For two months she was guarded in a safe house until the security risk was reduced. There are more tears when Siti recalls how, during her absence, her son Rio had grown so tall that at their emotional reunion she could no longer scoop him up into her arms as she used to. 'We had been apart for more than two years. I told him I was so sorry, and I hadn't been able to contact him while I was in prison. He didn't answer. He just smiled and hugged me tightly.' She adds: 'I have to accept that I was gullible. I am angry and upset with James and Mr Chang because I told them so many personal things and confided in them – then they put me in this terrible situation where they didn't care if I lived or died.' Today, six months on, she is studying to become a beautician and claims to want to put her notoriety behind her. 'I want a better future' she insists. 'I want to have more children and maybe someday I will marry again if I find a good man.' Nonetheless, she still seems strangely seduced by the fame that found her in the deadliest of circumstances. The Great Combinator, Ostap Bender
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SO SO SO SO I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO WRITING THIS OKAY HERE WE GO
So today I would like to introduce to you the most charismatic personage in Russian literature, and my favorite character of all time. Ostap Bender is the main character of Ilf and Petrov’s 1928 satirical novel The Twelve Chairs and the protagonist of its 1931 sequel, The Little Golden Calf. What’s interesting is that Bender is, in my opinion, the main character but NOT the protagonist of the first book, while he is definitely the protagonist of its sequel. Additionally, due to several external factors that I won’t delve into right now, the character of Ostap developed very quickly between the two books, so it is difficult to discuss the two Benders as one singular character. Furthermore, out of the multiple movie portrayals of Ostap Bender, at least the two pictured above (Sergei Yursky in The Little Golden Calf, 1968 and Andrei Mironov in The Twelve Chairs, 1976) deserve separate posts discussing their portrayals of the character. So I’m going to break all this up into several posts, and for now I’ll just talk about Ostap as he is in The Twelve Chairs. Let’s start with a little translated excerpt from the book, the first appearance of Bender.
At exactly half past eleven o’ clock, a young man aged about twenty-eight  entered the village of Stargorod from the direction of the village of Chmarovka, to the north-east. A little street urchin ran along behind him.     “Mister!” cried the boy gaily, “gimme ten kopeks!”      The young man took a warm apple out of his pocket and handed it to the boy, but the child still kept running behind. Then the young man stopped, and, looking ironically at the boy, said quietly:     “Perhaps you’d also like the key to the apartment where the money is kept?” The boy realized the complete futility of his pretensions and dropped behind.     The young man had lied. He had no money, no apartment where it could be kept, and no key with which to open said apartment. In fact, he didn’t even have a coat…
From this introduction, we find out three crucial things about Bender. The first is that he is broke and homeless. The second is that while he may not even have a coat, what he DOES have is a sparkling sense of irony. The third is that, since the boy assumed he would have money, Bender carries himself with such confidence that one would never guess his desolate state just by looking at him.
Very quickly, we find out that Bender is a con artist, reffered to by the narrator as “The Great Combinator” a man who claims to know “400 comparatively legal ways to part the general population with their money”. “Comparatively legal” is an accurate assessment of what Bender does. He does not resort to violence or outright thievery, and clearly has a code of ethics, especially compared to other characters in the book. Bender is the odd type of anti-hero that one roots for by comparison- because almost every character in the book is a caricature of certain negative traits; it puts Bender’s actions in perspective.
But every character has some sort of motive for behaving the way they do, so what is Bender’s? Surely someone with his amount of intellect and charisma would easily be able to find a job, make money, maybe even start a family. But Bender isn’t remotely interested in participating in the monotone uniformity of Soviet life; Bender has a dream. Bender’s dream is called “Rio de Janeiro”. It should be noted that Bender’s knowledge about the city of Rio de Janeiro is limited to a picture he saw in a magazine as a child, and a few clippings from an encyclopedia. And yet, he goes conning his way from town to town with one purpose; to gather enough money and escape to Rio. Over the two books in which he stars, we come to understand that even Bender himself, on a subconscious level, understands that his dream is impossible. But it gives him a reason to live.
After arriving to Stargorod, Bender meets the book’s protagonist (but not it’s main character; that’s Bender): a generally unpleasant but extraordinarily well-written individual named Ippolit “Kisa” Vorabyaninov. It should be noted that “Kisa” is the Russian word for  “kitty”, or, more fittingly, “pussy”. Kisa happens to be in town looking for his late mother-in-law’s treasure (sewn into one of a scattered set of twelve chairs, hence the title). Bender offers to help him with this task, for 50% of the profit. How he managed to weasel into this deal is telling both of Bender’s skill and Kisa’s stupidity. Bender quickly takes charge of the operation, and treats Kisa mostly as a burdensome apprentice.
As the book goes on, Bender’s character becomes better and better defined. The reader cant help but fall in love with his charisma, intelligence, sense of humor, and confidence; and as you read, you find yourself justifying Bender’s actions and clutching at any moment where he shows signs of morality (again, to be fair to Bender, few of the book’s characters show any signs at all). But at the same time, Bender isn’t made out to be the perfect “Robin Hood” that con-artist-heroes usually are. Absolutely everything he does is for his own benefit. Bender is selfish, self-obsessed, arrogant, and has no qualms about taking advantage of innocent people to get what he wants. The only times he says anything pleasant or positive is if he’s trying to charm someone into bending to his will. In simple terms, he’s a jerk. His relationship with Kisa is also interesting; Bender always treats Kisa as inferior to him, but also shows him rare moments of pity or even affection. He constantly complains about Kisa’s incompetence, but makes no attempt to teach or improve his accomplice. Bender’s treatment of Kisa winds up costing him dearly at the end, but I won’t discuss that now.
Why does Bender appeal to me personally, other than the reasons above? Bender is one of the (sadly) few Jewish heroes in Russian literature. One of the authors, Ilya Ilf (which is not his real name), was Jewish as well. I love seeing my people represented in literature, especially if they are well-developed main characters, not minor villains portrayed with stereotypes (as is the case with many books, unfortunately). Other reasons? Bender is an icon of Russian culture; his quotes, even the nonsensical ones, are always used in conversation. You can’t NOT love him.
Anyway, I’m positive no one is actually reading at this point, but I’ll probably continue these rants. I still want to talk about the movie versions and the sequel and all that jazz. As Bender would say, “the ice has broken, ladies and gentlemen of the jury! The ice has broken!”

Complete schedule of soap operas that go off the air and those that remain during quarantine
Due to the quarantine to prevent the spread of coronavirus, TV stations decided to interrupt the recording of their Soap operas unpublished. Below you can see which soap operas coming out of the air during the quarantine.
TV Globo
At the Rio de Janeiro broadcaster, its entire soap opera schedule was changed. “Amor de Mãe” had its last chapter aired this Saturday, the 21st, and will return on the air on an indefinite date, which depends on when the coronavirus outbreak in Brazil is contained so that the recordings will air again.
As of Monday, 23, after the “Jornal Nacional”, the broadcaster will show a compact version of “Fina Estampa”.
“Salve-se Quem Puder” has chapters ready to be shown until March 28th. After that, the broadcaster starts to repeat the soap opera “Totalmente Demais” on time. “Éramos Seis” ends on the 28th and on the 30th the replay of “New World” begins. The new 6 pm soap opera is “Tempos do Imperador”, which was postponed due to the interruption of the recordings.
“Malhação: Toda Forma de Amar”, is at the end of the season, but in order not to expose the cast in the recordings, the broadcaster decided to modify the last chapters and end the plot in April.
The new season was postponed indefinitely and will remain on the air “Malhação: Viva a Diferença”, aired two years ago.
Record TV
The broadcaster decided to cancel the recordings of “Love Without Equals“on display, and” Genesis “, which would premiere in April. Part of the cast of Record TV's new biblical novel was in Morocco when the recordings were canceled.
For now, there are ready chapters of “Amor Sem Igual” to go on air, but if the suspension of the recordings extends for a long time, the plot may also temporarily go off the air.
“Genesis” would replace the replay of “O Rico e Lázaro” in April, but due to the cancellation of the recordings, the plot could come to an end and be replaced by another reprise, expansion of the journalism range or screening of films.
The afternoon reruns, “A Escrava Isaura” and “Caminhos do Coração”, may or may not be shown. For the time being, they are normally on the grid, but they may stop being shown due to some extension of the station's journalism in covering the coronavirus outbreak.
SBT
Through its press office, SBT announced that it suspended the recording of the children's soap opera, “As Aventuras de Poliana”, last Tuesday, 17, for an indefinite period. As usual, the broadcaster has several chapters ready, and this may help SBT not to have to leave the booklet off the air in case the quarantine is extended, even so, the risk exists if the period without recordings is long.
The reruns of “Accomplices of a Rescue” and “My Heart is Yours”, as well as the American soap opera “Betty: the Ugly in New York”, for now, will continue on the air normally, since they are previously recorded products.
Any change in the broadcaster's grid must be notified by the SBT itself.
Band
Band has not yet informed whether it will stop showing the Portuguese soap opera “Ouro Verde” during the quarantine, to expand journalism. Since it is a plot ready for some years, everything indicates that it remains on the air, either at the usual time or not.
Foreign soap operas broadcast by paid channels, as well as Viva reruns, should not change, but if they do, the respective broadcasters will issue a statement to subscribers and viewers.

On some random winter morning at Campolindo High School in Moraga, steam ascends toward the mountains from the Soda Aquatic Center pool. Olympic followers from all over the world are invited to book Olympic 2020 tickets from our online platform for Olympic Tickets. Olympic Swimming fans can book Olympic Swimming Tickets from our ticketing marketplace exclusively on discounted prices.
Anita Alvarez, a U.S. Olympian in synchronized swimming, shudders as she plunges her toe in the pool before jumping in to start one more day of preparing. Alvarez contended in the 2016 Rio Olympics for Team USA at 19 years of age. She swam in the two-part harmony occasion with Mariya Koroleva, who authoritatively resigned after the challenge.
Alvarez keeps on swimming with the Senior National Team, which is the most significant level a synchronized swimmer can reach in the U.S. Albeit just 22, she rates as a senior among her teenaged colleagues.
Tumblr media
In the exercise room, a commencement to Tokyo Olympic is on the whiteboard. It's a day by day token of the objective to send a group to the Olympic just because since 2008. Alvarez is preparing with Ruby Remi, 16, for the Olympic 2020 two-part harmony rivalry.
Occasions in synchronized swimming vary basically by what number of individuals perform. At the Olympic 2020, the group occasion highlights eight individuals contrasted with the two-part harmony schedule, where sets contend. Synchro, as it's frequently called, is a made a decision about occasion. Scores depend on trouble, masterfulness, and specialized aptitudes.
You must be such a balanced competitor, Alvarez said. You must have the quality, the power yet, in addition, the effortlessness and the excellence and style and the adaptability, so it resembles a blend of swimming, jumping, tumbling, move.
Synchro, as of late renamed "imaginative swimming," first showed up in the Olympics in 1984. Americans Tracie Ruiz and Candy Costie won the principal gold decoration in the two-part harmony, however, Americans haven't medaled since 2004.
Over 10 years before the 2016 Olympics, Alvarez was a five-year-old who was learning synchronized swimming at the Tonawanda Aquettes in Buffalo, New York. Her mother, Karen Alvarez, got her beginning as a synchronized swimmer with a similar club and now mentors the group.
Tumblr media
"I've constantly adored that relationship since she comprehends the game and realizes the stuff, so she's there to push me, Alvarez said. But at the same time, she's my mother so … each time she watches our group swim she generally believes it's extraordinary."
Presently, Alvarez just visits her youth home about two times every year. In 2013, at 16, she had been solicited to be part of the Senior National Team Duet Squad, which expected her to move out to California for preparing. She had about a month to choose.
Alvarez was demonstrating to be a gifted focused swimmer, and she anticipated her school's graduation service. Be that as it may, she chose to make the move away from her loved ones. She realized it was the best way to accomplish her long-lasting Olympic 2020 dream.
It was a huge choice, her mom said. She was deserting a great deal here, however, it's something she truly needed. It was somewhat unnerving in light of the fact that she was moving out and living with individuals we didn't have the foggiest idea and preparing. Extreme preparing. So it was somewhat unnerving yet then it ended up being great.
At 19, Alvarez accomplished her fantasy. She and her two-part harmony accomplice Koroleva, who was 26, were one of the last groups to play out their specialized daily schedule at the Summer Olympic Games as Team USA's just synchronized swimmers.
I didn't have the foggiest idea whether I needed to cry, on the off chance that I needed to become ill, on the off chance that I needed to go out, on the off chance that I needed to shout of bliss, Alvarez said.
Tumblr media
At the point when they sit eighth in the specialized everyday practice and ninth by and large, their mentors shouted with energy, and everybody cried. It's not, in any case, the awards, Koroleva said. It's simply observing that your work created something that … you really cultivated what you set out to.
"It was the best minute with these two competitors, Lolli Montico, who trained the couple in Rio, said. They've been trained relentlessly for one year, six days per week, 8 to 10 hours per day. I mean we never gazed upward. We were simply head down and buckling down."
It's extremely difficult to climb one positioning since it's a made a decision about game and individuals go into the challenge definitely realizing where everybody's going to rank, Alvarez said. It was immense that we gone up so much … We were extremely content with the outcomes and how we performed. I couldn't request anything over that.
To make it to the Olympic 2020, Alvarez and her partners keep on preparing at Campolindo eight to ten hours per day, six days every week.
Following an entire day in the water, Alvarez meets with the group's nutritionist, sports analyst, and physical specialist. She works at Dick's Sporting Goods one day a week and mentors at the Walnut Creek Aquanuts, a synchronized swimming club, three days per week.
At that point, she's set to making a sound supper and complete her schoolwork for her online junior college classes. Alvarez additionally needs adequate rest, so she can wake up before 7 a.m. practice the following day.
As much as synchro requires order and quality, the glittery ensembles, overwhelming cosmetics, enlivened outward appearances, long legs, and thin midriffs have a significant influence in the game too.
Tumblr media
For synchronized swimming, it's extremely imperative to have an excellent body, and Anita is essentially ideal for the game, Montico, her previous mentor, said. She's tall, thin however solid thin, and the lengths of the legs are lovely.
Whatever she does in the water looks astounding, and she will improve, to learn, to buckle down, in light of the fact that she saw how hard different nations at the more elevated level work, Montico included.
While Koroleva said a few people look forward to the 2028 Olympics when the U.S. is ensured a synchro group as the host nation, she is energized for Summer Games. With the Olympic 2020 qualifier around five months away, Alvarez stated, Each moment, each second of consistently, it's on our brains.
Olympic 2020 followers can get Olympic Tickets through our trusted online ticketing market place. OlympicTickets2020.com is the most consistent source to book Olympic Packages.

FBI: Texas Doctor Who Gave Patients Chemotherapy, Toxic Medications is Indicted for Fraud
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Comments by Brian Shilhavy Editor, Health Impact News
A story out of Texas is making its way through the corporate-sponsored “mainstream” media regarding a doctor who has been indicted for fraud because he allegedly “violated his oath to do no harm by administering unnecessary chemotherapy and other toxic medications to patients with serious diseases,” according to Assistant Attorney General John Cronan.
According to the indictment, Zamora-Quezada and co-conspirators who are not named in the indictment falsely diagnosed people - including the young, elderly and disabled, from the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio and elsewhere - with various degenerative diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
The indictment alleges they administered “chemotherapy and other toxic medications” based on false diagnoses. (Source)
To those of us in the Alternative Health media, who report on these toxic treatments for diseases like cancer, it is very telling what these indictments admit as factual:
Vulnerable people had real diseases
These people were prescribed dangerous “chemotherapy and other toxic medications”
The “crime” alleged in this case seems to simply be that “false diagnoses” were used to prescribe these toxic medicines to sick people.
The question that begs to be answered here is how are the actions of this doctor significantly different from the actions of other doctors prescribing “chemotherapy and other toxic medications” every single day?
Pharmaceutical companies manufacturing these drugs are the largest class of criminal organizations in the world, based on criminal settlements for fraud by the United States Justice Department. (Housing & Financial Fraud comes in a distant second.)
These toxic and dangerous drugs are kept legal by the federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) which actively suppresses any competing natural cure that has no dangerous side effects.
While some doctors might claim “innocence” based on ignorance, the fact remains that they are accomplices to these crimes when they prescribe toxic drugs manufactured by known criminal organizations.
FBI: Local doctor gave patients chemotherapy, toxic medications based on fake diagnoses
Jorge Zamora-Quezada, 61, indicted on 7 charges
By Mariah Medina ABC KSAT 12, San Antonio
Excerpts:
The FBI is trying to track down patients of a McAllen-based doctor with a San Antonio office who allegedly administered chemotherapy and other toxic medications to people based on false diagnosis.
Jorge Zamora-Quezada, 61, is accused in an international money laundering scheme and health care fraud totaling $240 million. Zamora-Quezada appeared before a court Monday and is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud, five counts of health care fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
“The allegations that Zamora-Quezada violated his oath to do no harm by administering unnecessary chemotherapy and other toxic medications to patients with serious diseases - including some of the most vulnerable victims imaginable - are almost beyond comprehension,” acting Assistant Attorney General John Cronan said.
Through the false diagnoses, Zamora-Quezada and others subject patients to “fraudulent, repetitive and excessive medical procedures in order to increase revenue…”
The FBI is trying to identify other possible victims of Zamora-Quezada and his co-conspirators.Those who were a patient of Zamora-Quezada's from 2000 through May 2018 and believe they may have been affected by his or his co-conspirators alleged crimes, can contact the FBI at 1-833-432-4873, option 8, or email the taskforce at [email protected].
“The FBI is legally mandated to identify victims of federal crimes that it investigates and provide these victims with information, assistance services and resources,” according to a release from the DOJ.
