just for fun, i've put together a list of every official vocaloid twitter account i can think of! this list includes account handles, when the account was made, the language the account promarily posts in (usually the vocaloid's native language), whether the account is still active, and any other notes i think are interesting.

these are organized by vocaloid release date, not twitter account creation date.

neither individual Vocaloid has a Twitter, but i-style Project, which was focused solely on them, had a Twitter account under the handle i_style_vc3. it has since been deleted.

interestingly, Luo Tianyi has only a Japanese Twitter account (LTYjp), created in January 2018 and inactive since August 2020

none of the other Vsinger characters seem to have Twitter accounts. this is probably because Weibo, which they DO all have accounts for, is more widely used in China than Twitter. (and at this point? i'm jealous of them.)

a short fic of Nagumo’s yearly custom for the last 8 years.

“one bottle of sake and a pack of cigarette please.”

Shin who currently man the counter eyed the tattooed man suspiciously.

“i didn't know you smoked, Nagumo-san.”

“occasionally.” the man shrugged lightly. The look in his eyes is darker, not a trace of his usual playfulness in view. Sakamoto, who was observing not far from the counter only stared at his old time friend.

“wait, Nagumo.” Sakamoto rummages under the counter searching for something. Nagumo heard the clinks of two shot glass that Sakamoto took out from under the counter as he handed it to him. “for sharing, if you need to.”

Nagumo chuckled. “with who?”

“if not with her, just think it as my representation as I can't visit her.”

“are you visiting your girlfriend, Nagumo-san?” Shin asked teasingly. “nah, just an old friend.” the dark haired man only shows a strained smile and left the store.

after walking a few steps from the store, Shin heard a thought.

MUT Feasta is a fanmade project where a bunch of folks from MUT (the fan translators) collaborated for months to create this fun little story. For MUT's anniversary, they'll release cute lil event stories. Each story is written by a different person and contains an interview at the end (not necessarily the writer of that select story).

Antimony has been a JSON RAMPAGE as of late, so I promised that my next liveblog would be something she picked, and she picked the episode she wrote!

I really liked the one she wrote last year, where she did a good job making Rion likeable. Like god damn. girl doesn't make things easy on herself, that's for sure.

Now then, let's see... From what I recall, this episodes has Sayuki meet Tsuyu and Chizuru? And I think she does a performance on stage with them? I'm not entirely sure, but I'm excited! It's 7 minutes long so it's perfect for my adhd. Let's get started!

My preordered TMGS plushies from Ebten have arrived!

So there was a pop-up shop at the Marui at Yurakucho last year, from December 2022 to Jan 2023 I believe, that I had wanted to visit but totally missed. They were even distributing exclusive postcards at the pop-up store for every 2000 yen spent, so it was a complete shame that I missed out on the entire event as I would’ve spent a lot.

Thus, I had to pre-order the plushies from Ebten instead, and they finally arrived today.

Okay, they were a bit smaller than I had expected, considering that they costed 2310 yen each. The accessories like the doll jackets and bags were super expensive for something so small, so I didn’t order them. I think I might as well buy myself doll accessories from the 100 yen shops instead.

The plushies were like only 15cm tall, and I was expecting 20cm like the Kazama and Heroine yukata plushie pair that I had preordered from Animate long ago. Was 5500 yen for a set, and it was a limited production item, meaning that they would only produce the exact number of orders made. I actually ordered 2 sets of this, and put the other set up for sale on my Mercari, Rakuma and Paypayfleamarket accounts, and it’s been left unsold for quite a while already.

So anyway, I decided to welcome my new plushies into my TMGS plush family.

The last photo is actually a pouch that was made for 10cm plushies, though you can put 15cm plushies in them too, but it’ll be a bit of a squeeze. I actually use that pouch for my 10cm keychain plushies of Shouji Rion from Station Idol Latch.

Maybe someday I’ll buy another pouch more suitable for 15cm plushies, to contain Wakaouji-sensei and the TMGS2 Heroine in it. For now, I decided to just put them in the same bag as the yukata set Kazama and Heroine plushies. I mean, I also don’t want to have to carry 4 different bags when I bring my plushies to TMGS collab cafes and events.

Speaking of which, I’m attending the Tokimeki Memorial Girl’s Side 20th Anniversary Exhibition Welcome to Habataki City! event at Tokyo Anime Center in Shibuya this Friday. I’m going to be taking lots of photos, and with my new plushies too, and buying lots of goods of Himuro-sensei there! I bought the photograph ticket, which allows me to take a photo with my favourite guy. Will put up photos on my Tumblr after my visit.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF GUILTY SPARK IN HALO NOVELS

Aside from The Flood (which is just a bad novelization of Halo CE), Guilty Spark has technically been in several books.

He shows up in the Forerunner trilogy first. Here, he's Chakas: a young man from the city of Marontik on Erde Tyrene (which will one day be called Earth). He gets pulled into Forerunner Nonsense when a young Forerunner comes to Earth in search of treasure and adventure. Chakas is planning to scam him, but some things occur and he and his friend Riser go on a terrible adventure instead with him. The Didact is also there.

Riser and Chakas get separated from the Forerunners like half way through Cryptum and are not seen again until the next book, Primordium. This one is (almost) entirely from Chakas's perspective, as narrated by 343 Guilty Spark after ONI found him after Halo 3. Chakas has another terrible time on Zeta Halo, has an ancient human warrior ghost in his brain, makes some friends, loses them, sees Bornstellar again, and ultimately has to be turned into a Monitor because being Chakas is terrible.

That book ends with him successfully escaping containment on the UNSC ship in the present, then stealing it and setting out on one last mission to try to find the Librarian and get the gene memory ghosts of his friends back.

We also see him in the third Forerunner book, Silentium (sorry for not italicizing titles anymore, shit's hard on mobile) where he mostly has some key moments near the end.

(Not books, but Halo CE anniversary added terminals and there's a lot of Spark's long isolation addressed there,)

We catch up with him again in Renegades, where Rion and crew end up finding the ship Spark stole which is now crashed. He has loaded himself into a Forerunner soldier body, and they all go on an adventure together. He gets a bunch of chapters from his perspective. He's still with them and driving a lot of plot in Point of Light, which I'm starting to read.

He has one of the longest and weirdest existences in Halo.

5th - Phony by Machita Chima

The final product of Chima’s journey. Her operatic background meant that she would search for more operatic of the popular songs, but I think she does this very modern song justice.

7th - Kaibutsu by Shiranui Flare

The MV is on fire and her singing is always on fire. That’s Flare for ya. Flare always can bring a little menace, a little bit of S for Noel’s M needs, and this cover brings that in spades.

7th - The Owl ~The Owl Tells That We Have Uninvited Guests~ by Nun Bora

Bora always has a nice voice, because apparently that’s a requirement for being good at APEX (why is everyone at VSpo good at singing?) and this song is uses her voice very well.

11th - Haru wo Tsugeru by Rikkaroid

Start of Rikka’s First Take tribute and he starts with one of my favorite songs, the first single by yama. And Rikka doesn’t disappoint with his interpretation. He’s just so nice to listen to.

12th - Blessing by Lamy, Botan, Nene, Polka

NePoLaBo stands out as the best gen group in terms of singing, and this distinction is best shown through the four group covers for their anniversary. All four are fantastic, go listen.

13th - ZZZ by Asuka Hina

For her much belated 100K. It’s a cutesy cover for a cutesy voice producer, I believe?

13th - Cry Baby by Hoshimati Suisei

Suisei needs a song with power and emotion and Official Hige DANdism went out of their way to create a song that does just that. Suisei is at its best when she starts down low and raises her pitch like a firework, and this song is basically that.

15th - Vampire by Yozora Mel

I really like Mel’s voice. It’s cute but not cutesy. Like Kiara, her voice fits the range of VOCALOIDs, but Mel’s delivery is much more smooth. It’s almost like listening to the Idea of this song, the most idealized version, and so this is my pick for Vampire. Thank you.

17th - Indonesian Folk Medley by HoloID 1 & 2

I think what makes this cover so special is that you can feel the pride and joy in the singers and the production. This is their introduction to their world to us, and it is freaking great.

21st - Shin Takarajima by Sasaki, Ririmu, Shiina, Yashiro & Chaika

This cover is just a fascinating thing. The dance is a great recreation, and I always love Ririmu ‘Oh!’ as we transition to the chorus. Deron and Rion’s cheerleading is a nice touch.

22nd - Turing Love by Aiba Uiha & Mayuzumi Kai?

The dupe that shocked the world, and yet many people lapped it up, getting a million views in less than a week, although the views decreased sharply. Mayu’s UTAU is one of the best, and I think it was used so well here, and also it just fits his lore too well. Challenging but worth it.

28th - Magia by Tokino Sora, Fuji Aoi & Suntory Nomu

Sora, Aoi, Nomu triple is nothing to scoff at, but it almost felt nostalgic to see these three successfully tackle the always beautiful song from Kalafina. I think the mixing is done really well here, and it shows how the three know where to sing and where not to.

29th - adrenaline!! by Oozora Subaru & Shigure Ui

Ui-mama professes to be a non-singer but she sang quite a lot this year, and her outputs are almost always good. There must be something to her narrow but cute singing that people surely approve of… I love how Ui realized Subaru is the sun and you cannot avoid her brightness.
