You can rip any assets from the game the same way you would for other websites. Either hit ctrl+shift+i or right click->inspect to open the console, then toggle to Network and refresh the page. All assets will load in in real time from there. You can use the search bar to filter file types like.jpg or .mp3 to make it easier, too.

UNEXPECTED HERO PROMPTS.

Honestly, she hadn’t really expected this either. Seofon, the leader of the eternals and the wielder of so many legendary swords, with the power and strength in him to make each legendary sword be honored to be held and used by him - He had been in danger. Diantha, the ex-maiden from a little island who still held all her maiden powers, yet none of those powers were ever for fighting and she couldn’t so much as lift one of Seofon’s swords, so scared and so inexperienced in the world of combat - She had saved him from peril. How in the skies was this possible?

Well...The dog she was petting was all the answer she needed, at least. For an actual answer as to how Xolotl seemed to rip apart time and space to appear before the two of them, the ruins she had wanted to study might be the key to that.

Although the start of her journey with the crew was truly just a selfish wish, a major aspect now of her adventures was both a selfish research project and a selfless act to pass along her dear friend’s story. That friend was Xolotl, the massive war dog turned primal beast in the days of the war, but was now the loving primal that helped her home island prosper, the bond to that place and its people strengthened in him. And she supposed his literal power link with her, from when she had been graced by a doggy kiss before the start of her adventures, amplified by this temple with similar-looking statues to the ones back home, caused him to know she was in danger. And, being a powerful primal who could impact any and all things, it was easy to assume he could use these links to somehow get to the pair just as the swarm of monsters were about to close onto them. Most vanquished in green flames or sharp jaws, but the stragglers were left to run back into the deeper parts of the forest. A howl in victory so mighty that it shook the air around them, the ground itself quaking and everything shivering around them before the primal stopped. 

And then he looked for his friend, snout immediately pointed in the direction of where she had cowered behind Seofon. She had felt quite useless, having tried her best to hype Seofon using her powers when the fighting got going, but once it was clear the tide was turning against them her voice vanished on her. The swordsman was indeed a great fighter, but being outmanned can put anyone in a corner, and having to protect now a defenseless and frightened young woman probably put him at an even greater disadvantage. Getting cornered inside the temple was probably the worst mistake, the darkness making it all the more impossible to fight back, and the swarm making it so they couldn’t easily escape. And so Diantha did the only other thing she could do - pray. Pray for the captain; for the other eternals; for just anyone else in the crew to come and rescue them. Pray for, at the very least, Seofon to pull a hail mary and then for Diantha to be able to patch him up and then get them home without incident. Pray for her loved ones to not worry...Pray for Xolotl to protect them and save them.

So, when green flames lit up the room, both from her friend’s attacks and unused torches now burning bright, Diantha knew her prayers were answered. And, after all was said and done, when the primal dog turned his head towards her, she went with instinct on how to repay him.

She’s running out from behind Seofon before the man could probably process anything, practically launching herself into the dog’s nose, crying into his exposed fur, “Xolotl! I’m so sorry if we caused any trouble, but...Thank you, thank you…!” Her arms wrap around his head, and the dog in turn nuzzles into the embrace, panting a little from his workout while Diantha laughs into her sobs.

A big laugh comes as Seofon’s words echo in the large temple chamber, and she turns her head to face him, red and puffy-eyed but a big grin on her face. “Well, Xolotl really works in mysterious ways. But he’s a very good friend, and is always there when you need him most.” She starts petting at the exposed fur upon her own words, rewarding Xolotl a bit more for his hard work. The dog barks, as if in agreement and joy, but the echo is so loud it jostles the whole place. A surprised shriek morphs into a laugh, before Diantha’s finally able to peel herself away from the primal, “I think introductions are in order, but we should probably head outside first.”

I read someone saying that they think the way Granblue handles Siete is a good indication of good writing

Usually, the second you introduce a character who is "the most powerful", that's where things get dicey. They could solve every problem in minutes, every challenge becomes a "Well, let's get the OP guy on it"

A lot of Shounen manga and anime usually play with this trope by having the super strong guy chronically be late to the big fight, so his supporting cast gets to try and fail to stop the threat, gets their moment to shine, get beaten to show how powerful the baddie of the week is and then, when all hope seems lost, the strongest guy shows up and beats them. That's honestly fair enough. But with Siete it's handled in that he tries to remain neutral and he doesn't like resolving conflicts with violence, so he's trying to be smart about it. He could break the game immediately, we've all seen his stats in blue mode in HotS and how many more HP he had to Supreme Primarch Sandalphon, but he'd prefer not to. He could have ended Ceodric immediately, but he wanted to try and reason with the guy. It feels more organic than "Oh no, he's late again" (Siete only tends to run late to Eternal meetings, after all) and I like that he's very careful with his power and genuinely try to be responsible, even if he'll still make mistakes, because he's still just human

Also, for people complaining about the Eternals not being around during any of WMTSB, I think it's likely they were all just off saving the world in other ways, in different Skydoms perhaps, since they're usually really decentralized and by the time word got out, they got back and assembled, Danchou had taken care of it. I don't think that's so difficult to believe

no worries about the askbox, it was a very interesting read, and i 100% agree.

I do think that Granblue always come to balance the scales of power starting from the fact that it has a lot of otherworldy powerful creatures and characters than just "writing them out" when the plot needs stake is too difficult to follow through.

So instead of just "is x stronger than y" Granblue has to give limitations in term of morals or area of effect, and therefore exploring more themes as how to wield said power rather than just trying to make it a mathematical match.

and it especially makes Seofon's actions really interesting because he is established as the strongest skydweller in the skies and he leads a team that is supposed to stop catastrophe from happening, and instead of trying to nerf his power or make him late or absent or slacking off, they just make him so devoted to his cause that he'll try to handle things on a different angle.

I think it's interesting by the way we often discuss him that we don't really talk about how his power will manifest against which enemy, but we talk about the unsettling aspect of his manipulations and the worry of if he ever lose control, and those end up being tangible fear on part with the power he happens to have.

it's just so interesting and i 100% agree with the ask. he's such a cool character.
