favorite thing about them his titties Jk. while it is pretty stereotypical (rough guy in the wasteland, we've all seen it before) i like both his general attitude as well as his canonical backstory. even though blizzard does a pretty shit job writing these dudes, i think there's a lot of growth potential from where they've set roadhog up. it'd be interesting to see an arc where he's able to rediscover some of the joy he lost after australia became mad max fury road, and perhaps soften up a bit. i know it'll never happen, but its nice to think about

unpopular opinion roadrat is... eh? I don't hate it i just never really saw the appeal. i know fanfiction does a lot for overwatch but in canon roadhog seems ambivalent towards junkrat at best, and even in fanfic i never really vibe with their whole dynamic.

I definitely don't mind it! I could go either way, I don't really care as long as there's shenanigans!! Plus I'm always a fan of "they hate eachother...wow true love" jokes. The only things I'm iffy on are the (in my opinion) bad mischaracterizations I see in some fanwork.

But yeah!! I just like them both and they're sooo worsties so it's all OK to me :)

Since you all enjoyed me recommending this fic, I feel entitled to bestow upon you my ultimate very single one favourite fanfiction of all time ever. It is written better than 90% of the printed books I've read, which to be fair are not many, but you get the point.

It isn't a Merthur fic, it's a roadrat prince/bodyguard au, BUT hear me out very clearly here: this could be very much an original, since 1) it's an au; 2) it's overwatch so canon doesn't really exist.

I just want to shine a tiny light on this masterpiece because it's truly the best thing I've ever read and it suffers from the fact that it's a very niche thing.

¡¡¡¡¡¡WARNING!!!!! It's not fully happy ending and me being somebody very soft it took me like 3 years to fully recover, but even so I've reread it countless times. I truly encourage you to give it a go. Plus to help you heal your soul afterwards there's always the tiny sequel

How I feel about him: I LOVE HIM!!!!! hes such a giant dork, and I always get attached to characters like him (its 100% bc my boyfriend is also an irl mad scientist sh) and they just make me really happy, and also i project myself a LOT on him....he was the first one I was introduced to and i always had an eye on him and Heavy!!!!!!

When I started to ship it: Durning my hardcore Overwatch phase over a year ago! I wasnt into TF2 but im a HUGGGGGEEE roadrat stan (its. one of my biggest fucking comforts ever) and it gave me really big roadrat vibes, I just didnt wanna let go of my ovw hyperfocus,,but i read fics and i enjoyed it! I didn't start start until i stumbled across a SUPERRRRRRRR sweet fic and it just. made me fall in love!!!! oh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! id talk about them so much more if I wasnt so scared of making them ooc

What makes me happy about them: first off, it reminds me of me and my bf which makes me SUPER stimmy and happy!!!! It also reminds me of a lot of other comforts I have, like Reanimator and Roadrat which....(:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also just love the little guy/big guy dyamnic, im SUCH a softie for ships like that and.....(((((:!!!!!

What makes me sad about them: the entirety of Naked and The Dead, first off (minus the end) and the amount that Medic missed Heavy when he was gone and also the fucking dumbasses in this community who bitch abt the ship

Things done in fanfics that annoy me: MAKING ! MEDIC ! WEAK!!!! medic can hold his own and hes a very strong man, emotionally and physically, for FUCKS sake he looked the devil in the eyes and said "FUCK you" for the most part, and I also dont like Heavy being potrayed as stupid or god forbid fucking abusive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
