Don't be scared, it's only a Drum n' Bass Party! Not to mention, pizza x Roberta's! Check the line-up y'all. Though I'd admit, I'm not into the 'hard n' bass' sub-genre of DnB, and more into the 'liquid' or 'soulful' flows, it's rare we find these events in such a popular location. If tix are sold out online, it's $15 at the door for walk-ins, FYI!

Give up Luce // Lucy bronze x reader
If there was one way you could describe Lucy bronze it would be that shes determined. Lucy gets what she wants and no one can tell her no. Except for you. Lucy would move the earth for you if u told her to. She was smitten. There was one problem, you said no.
There was no way on this earth that you would go out with a teammate. Lucy wanted to change that. She was very determined to get you to say yes to a date. For the past 3 months Lucy had asked you every single day to go on a date with her.
“Lucia Roberta I’m saying this for the last time. No. I won’t go on a date with you.” It was funny at this point and all your teammates knew it, they made jokes and laughed about it to themselves. Lucy just wouldn’t accept no for an answer.
She followed you around at training like a lost puppy. Continuing to ask you out, each time the answer was no. Lucy refused to believe that you weren’t interested.
So a few days after the last time she asked you when you were next at training you agreed to be her partner and eventually when she asked you to go on a date with her you agreed. “If I say yes will you give up Luce” she nodded and smiled “if that’s what you want” you were going on that date just to shut her up. Well that’s what you thought was going to happen.
A few days later there was Lucy outside your apartment with a bouquet of flowers, tulips to be precise, smiling dressed in her best outfit. “Claudia and patri said you liked tulips so I got them for you. They said you weren’t a roses kind of girl so I had to get the ones you liked” she handed them to you “ oh lucy they’re beautiful thank you” her eyes lit up as you took the flowers and kissed her on the cheek.
Putting the tulips in a vase with water before grabbing your bag and walking out with Lucy to whatever location she had chosen for you both.
When you got there it turned out to be a small restaurant down one of the back roads of Barcelona. Simple but cute. The food looked delicious and you were so excited to try it.“Order what u want, it’s on me” Lucy smiled and took u to a small table with a tag that said miss Lucy. “Lucy I can pay for myself” she shakes her head No and hands you a menu.
You order some kind of pasta with cheese sauce and garlic bread while Lucy orders pizza and breadsticks complete with a bottle of white wine to share between you.
After eating and having a little to drink while talking you and Lucy took a walk along the beach and went around the little shops that were still open. “Lucy this was so lovely”
She just smiles as you start to walk back to ur apartment. Something about being with Lucy feels right but you can’t think of what it actually means. You enjoy being with her but you can’t figure out weather you want to be with her or not.
When you get to your apartment you invite Lucy in and have a few drinks which ends up with both of you sleeping in the living room but not before the question lucy has been waiting to ask.
“Would you wanna go out again, maybe as girlfriends?”
“ I’ll have to think about that Luce” you give her a cheeky smile and she shakes her head
Maybe things will be ok with Lucy… maybe you could be together
——————————————————————
This might be part one of a few. Let me know what you think and anything you want me to write x

just thinking about cooking together and pissing around singing obnoxiously to a playlist you and matty made together and just being so in love
omg pizza making night!!!! matty had suggested having a date night in, and you thought it would be cute to make pizzas together (because realistically, if you fuck up, it would still be good bc... it's pizza lol) and matty was so up for it!! so you make the dough earlier in the day - matty absolutely tries to recreate the ghost pottery scene while you're kneading it and you both end up winded from laughing so hard - and then go on a cute little supermarket date to get other ingredients while it's chilling. you go to m&s because its date night and you both thought you should do something slightly fancier than your usual, and also because you had a notion for their raspberry pornstar martini cans lol (unreal btw). and then when you get home, you get changed into comfy clothes (you steal one of matty's t-shirts), crack open some wine to share and get started on making dinner! and matty takes control of the music before doing anything else - obv - and he puts on a playlist that the two of you have designated as the "cute domestic shit" soundtrack; thinking it's a lot of mellow 70s pop/rock (the carpenters, george harrison, paul simon, billy joel, fleetwood mac (the love songs!), carole king) and soul music (temptations, aretha, donny hathaway, sam cooke, al green, roberta flack). anyway, the two of you are having fun making your food and chatting and singing along, and then i think matty just abandons his pizza to stand behind you and wrap his arms around your waist to sing al green's let's stay together right in your ear (oh my god i would melt). and you're all blushy like "babe! focus on the pizza, not on me" and matty literally just sings louder into your ear and tickles you, and you laugh and think fuck it and start singing along too, so it's the two of you just swaying side to side and singing softly to each other adorably. and i think when the song ends and you've put the pizzas in the oven, matty's jokingly like "you know, i'd ask you to sing on a 75 song but i think you'd probably put me out of a job. and then how are we going to afford your m&s cocktails" and you roll your eyes and get all shy and matty says "no seriously i love hearing you sing. and you should actually sing on one of my songs because you're very good. i know i'm biased but like... you really are. besides it's my band i can do what i want lol". and you wrap your arms around his neck and you're like "are you going to write a romantic duet for us" and matty's like "i'll write you whatever you want, sweetheart" and he grabs his phone and chooses a specific song from the playlist and says "in the meantime, let's sing this" - it's marvin gaye and tammi terrell singing you're all i need to get by, and you and matty are just the sappiest little bitches in the world singing along to it, holding each other tightly and gazing lovingly at the other and kissing in between verses and choruses. it's so sweet, and you just alternate between kissing and dancing and singing and laughing for ages - the pizzas end up a little bit burnt, but neither of you give a shit because you're just so in love that you can't be unhappy <3

Meet Roberta Krueger, daughter of Freddy Krueger!
Roberta Krueger
Daughter of Freddy Krueger
Parent
Freddy Krueger
Age
15
Killer Style
Grunge, combine that with a bit of blue-collar and you got yourself the Krueger style!
Freaky Flaw
I LOVE to mess with people, doesn't matter who, doesn't matter when, awake or asleep, no one is safe from me! You call that a flaw but I call it my own little quirk.
Pet
Mara! He ain’t a “cheeta” but he’s a leopard! Little aggressive with some mean claws to boot, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Favorite Activity
Pulling people’s legs aside, I’m a gamer ghoul. Especially for the old retro stuff.
Pet Peeve
I’ve got a few; party poopers, fire, crosses. But what really grinds my gears is consistency. Things get boring when they’re always the same! That’s one thing I like about dreams, they’re never the same and logic gets kicked to the curb.
Favorite Subject
Monster Psychology. You can learn a lot about someone by what they dream about. Metal Shop too, it’s a good place to “sharpen” my skills.
Least Favorite Subject
Volcanology, let’s just say fire has left a burning memory in my family…
Favorite Colors
Red and Green
Favorite Food
I’m always up for a “pizza” bacon, meatball, and pepperoni pizza. Couple that with a hot cup of joe or a cold can of cola and you’ve got the meal of my dreams!
Friends
Sunny Benedict (OC) Edd Goldberg (EW MH AU Only) Betsy Voorhees (OC) Touma Itsuki (OC) Polly Wog (OC)
Abilities
Immortality
As a dream demon, she is immortal.  Dream Walking Like her father, Roberta can enter the dreams of others as long as they are asleep. Dream World Manipulation Also like Freddy, Roberta can create, shape, and manipulate elements of peoples dreams, such as making objects appear, changing the layout, etc.
Skillset
Technician Work/Mechanics
Roberta is skilled in working with machines, much like how her father was when he was alive.
Metalwork Also like her dad, she has been known to create stuff using metal, as evidenced by having one of her favorite classes be Metal Shop. Video Games She is skilled in playing video games, especially classic games on consoles like the NES.
Personality
Roberta is like a fire, loud, hotheaded, and passionate. Which is ironic because she’s actually afraid of fire. Regardless, Roberta is, at her core, a troll. She loves to mess with people, whether it’s pulling pranks on them while they’re awake or toying with them in their dreams. She doesn’t really care much in terms of morality, and just prefers to do whatever she wants. She’s also rather rude and loves to make dumb puns and one liners just like her father. She also likes playing along with other people's antics, as seen with her relationship with Touma.
Trivia/Additional Information
Roberta’s name comes from Robert Englund, who played Freddy throughout most of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Her headcanon voice actress is Wendee Lee, who voiced Miu Iruma from the Danganronpa series. She shares a voice actress with Polly Wog. Her favorite activity is a double reference. One to Spencer’s death from Freddy’s Dead, which was themed around retro games, and the other to the Nightmare on Elm Street NES game. Roberta’s birthday is November 9th, the day the first Nightmare on Elm Street film debuted. This makes her a Scorpio.

Via Rusty Foster at Today in Tabs.
Foster notes: "Yes this is funny, but Saltz wrote a long story for Vulture at the beginning of the pandemic that’s nominally about his relationship with food, but is actually a pocket memoir and autobiography. I missed it when it first came out, and it adds a lot of depth to both his career as an art critic and his otherwise baffling eating habits."
Here's the Vulture article, which turns out to be both funny and moving. It starts with Saltz's weird eating habits and goes on to talk about his childhood and young adulthood, which were very hard.
In normal times, every few nights I buy six large black deli coffees; three caffeinated and three decafs. I put them in the fridge. Each morning, I combine the two into a 7-Eleven Double Gulp cup, add ice, Lactaid, and stevia. I drink two a day, which I tell myself equals one big cup of coffee. We bought a dozen 7-Eleven cups and tops in 2017; we wash and reuse them; ditto four metal straws. Foodies and the art world are aghast when I post myself drinking these. I grew up in an art world where everyone drank this kind of coffee, but the world has changed, and I get it.
Neither of us really cooks. Roberta can but doesn’t; I can’t but do, in a manner of speaking. We rarely go out to eat. It takes too much time. We can’t plan it with two regular deadlines in the same house — two critics living on the manic edge while trying to write, daily battling the demons that tell every writer “You’re through; quit.” Honestly, being in public at all in those flaky states always seems hair-raising to me. We do go out for pizza slices on weekends, after galleries have closed and the openings are over and people are off to big dinners and after-parties. I haven’t gone to more than five sit-down art-world dinners in ten years. Instead, over slices on paper plates, we go over lists of things we’ve seen, what we missed, gossiping about which dealers wouldn’t leave us to look in peace (hi, Gavin, you know we adore you!) and scraping over each other’s wrong ideas about shows.
We don’t do takeout either. It just seems like an invitation to overeat, which is something I worry about constantly. I haven’t had a pancake, waffle, or piece of French toast in decades — afraid I’d instantly become addicted the same way I know if I took one puff of a cigarette, I’d start smoking again. I did this once in 1986, a month after Roberta and I met. I wanted to show her how cool I looked with a butt in my mouth. I took a drag, and as the smoke filled my lungs, I still remember thinking, I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to smoking. And so I did, for 18 months from that day, before going cold turkey. Do I sound like someone with food or possible substance-abuse issues? I do. But I’ve white-knuckled it this far.
Anyone who has ever heard about how we eat and drink thinks we are insane.
Usually, about once a week at a nearby place called Agata & Valentina, I buy two large boxes of something called chicken paillard — which, now that I think about it, I’m not sure what that actually is. Premade pieces of non-breaded skinless chicken with a teriyaki-ish sauce. The chicken is stored in the fridge in Tupperware containers. We microwave one for lunch, one for dinner. Ditto bags of greens. I boil potatoes and steam Brussels sprouts or broccoli. For breakfast, it’s scrambled eggs and toast. I cook these. Other than snacks, fruit, sugar, carbo binges, and eating while going to galleries and museums, that’s it. I am a hunter-gatherer-microwaver providing for my wife, who is my eyes and mind. We got these lives and learned how to make them talk. We adapt to our environment with our shortcomings and survive.
At least, that’s how I see it. But I know that with food, as with everything else, I have acquired only partial self-knowledge. At different times, I think of myself as a glutton and an ascetic. I can see myself as a person of endless appetites and curiosity, who can imagine going everywhere and seeing everything and eating anything. But I can also straight-facedly say I have no interest in food or any kind of social life other than a monkish one. Barack Obama has talked about narrowing down his clothing — suits of one or two colors — so he didn’t have to think about anything when getting dressed. I get that — doing everything you can to open up time and space in your life for the things you really love. (Bernie Madoff, actually, got dressed the same way.) For me, that thing is looking at art and writing about it. Everything else feels like a wind blowing dead leaves away.
I feel a great affinity to Saltz Like him, I eat simple foods, from a limited set of choices every day. Most days, I have the same thing for breakfast, and same thing for lunch, with a limited number of choices for dinner. I have the same thing every night for a bedtime snack, too. I can't do, or choose not to do, a lot of the things that normal people do. I'm not as comfortable with my choices as Lewis seems to be—but I'm getting there, and this article has actually been a big help.
I can make coffee. I'm actually very good at that.

Genesis, Judah and Angelique at Robertas in Bushwick. This was 2017 or 2019. Genesis, Judah and Anaih were visiting from North Carolina for the holidays and I took all the kids out- including Scarlett and Grace. I showed them my favorite thrift shops after we ate pizza. I find joy in knowing that the girls still like to shop there now. This was a perfect day with my little loves. I wish I could go back to it and relive it... the next best thing is this photograph that takes me back to those moments... when things were perfect. IMY Gen. I miss laughing with you so much.
