Kinkmas Day 5: Robin Buckley(Semi-Public/Public)
Tw: Semi-Public sex, fingering, Marking.(I believe that's it but lemme know if I missed any!)
A/n: Sorry this is so late and short, there is very little plot but I do hope you enjoy it!
Word Count: 490
Walking into the movies, I see Robin waiting on the side for me with a small popcorn and a large drink.
“Hey, so sorry I’m late. My car wouldn’t start so I had to get Eddie to jumpstart it. Hopefully it works when we leave.” I said, semi out of breath from rushing up the escalator.
“It’s fine. Let's go, the movie has already started.” She said, handing me the tickets to hand to the girl working.
“Ok, It’s gonna be theater 4 on your left. Enjoy your movie.” The girl said.
We nodded and smiled, Robin sending her a small thank you.
As we got to our seats all the way in the back, there were only about 6 people there and they were in the middle.
We sat down, getting situated before focusing on the movie.
*40 mins later*
We're about an hour into the movie and I am getting kinda bored. I look at Robin before looking back at the screen.
Feeling antsy, I start moving around in my seat. Getting a bit uncomfortable. Robin looks over and raises a brow and asks if I'm ok, I just nod and try to pay attention to the screen again.
She takes her hand and rests it on my knee in a form of comfort but all I felt was a sudden wetness between my legs.
Trying to be discreet about it, I rub my legs together slowly hoping to ease the feeling and I lean my head on her shoulder. Rubbing my nose against her neck.
I wait a couple minutes before starting to press small kisses on her neck, sucking a little in one spot I know she loves.
Her grip on my leg tightens and she slowly moves her hand upwards and into my skirt. I sucka bit harder on her neck at the feeling.
She moves my underwear aside slowly, slipping a finger in, I moan into her neck, trying not to make a sound and attract attention over to us.
I move my lips from her neck to her jaw, leaving marks along the way. She starts to rub my clit with her thumb, her middle and ring finger moving faster in me.
I feel my stomach tighten and I grip her wrist. She moves her fingers even faster knowing I'm close.
I bite her shoulder, leaving teeth marks for sure. With one last thrust of her fingers, I'm coming all over them. My legs shake from the orgasm and I try to catch my breath as she slowly removes her fingers.
She kisses my forehead, her hand putting my underwear back in place and moving her hand back on my thigh. She pats it and I know it's her way of saying, Good girl.
I smile sleepily and rest my her on her shoulder, trying to focus on the movie but my eyelids start to drop and next thing you know, I’m out.

listen to me!!¥\€*\€]*]€] i can only think of one thing besides steve harrington and it's chef!robin meeting her girl at her job at the inn she found in indianapolis, her girl being the person who runs the inn 😩🎀💕💘💖💓💗
chef!robin taking notes of things that her girl does NOT like, like raisins dipped in rum and nuts, so she wouldn't even make desserts with it, but she would love to make everything that her girl loved for lunches the inn that was also a restaurant open to the public in addition to guests.
chef!robin arriving before her pretty girlfriend just to make her coffee and small rolls to leave her in her desk, while her girl organizes the wedding that will take place that weekend where they would have to have all their senses in it.
“someday when we have our inn, i’m going to make the inn manager do this so we can sneak into the warehouse and make out,” robin murmured as she gave small details to the beautiful wedding cake she had made for the event.
chef!robin being a hopeless romantic leaving a “for the most beautiful manager this inn could have had” with her cursive handwriting and small chocolate stains on the white paper she had found there. 🎀💓💕💘💗💖😩💞💭💌💐

18+ ONLY. (BY CLICKING READ MORE YOU ARE CONSENTING TO READING EXPLICIT CONTENT.)

A/N: I found this hard to write because I’ve been writing Robin as awkward and flustered, but this request wanted confident Robin so I’ll try :)
REQUEST: “Heyyyy I just read It'll Never Be Real and I absolutely love it ! Could you maybe write something with a confident Robin flirting with a kind of flustered reader at a party where she is all dolled up for Robin ? Thanks you !!!” & "uhhfhfhdh robin making you ride her fingers like w her rings on just skdjdj she has me on a death grip with her fingers and like her just like worshipping your body shsh -🫧"
CHARACTERS: Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler & Steve Harrington.
Tumblr media
Your POV:
As you stood outside in the front yard, just a few steps away from the party, you fiddled with your hair and fixed yourself up. You pulled your small makeup mirror from your purse, flicked it open and checked your makeup before reapplying some lip gloss. You sighed as you placed the mirror back in your purse.
You weren’t going to go to this party, since you hated them, but when you found out Robin was going, you knew you couldn’t miss it. Tonight, you had dressed out of your comfort zone. You wanted to impress Robin. You wanted her to notice you. Like, really notice you.
“You good?” Nancy asked, raising an eyebrow at you. You took a deep breath before nodding.
“I’m fine, just a little nervous.” You replied, brushing your hands against your skirt. You turned to face the front door, nerves pooling in your stomach.
“Nervous? For what?”
“Just–” You started, but before you could finish your sentence, your eyes locked onto a familiar brown-haired girl through the window. You stared at her, watching as she laughed and danced alongside some of her friends. Nancy followed your line of sight over to Robin.
“Robin?” She wondered, turning to face you. You fell from your daydream, turning to Nancy with a defensive expression.
“No!” You protested, unable to make eye contact with her.
“Alright, alright,” Nancy mumbled, throwing her hands up in front of her and backing away slightly. You took in another deep breath before forcing your lips into a smile and heading toward the entrance. Nancy followed after you.
As you walked through the front door, your nose was infiltrated by the unpleasant smell of alcohol and sweat. You turned to the right, looking at the spot you had seen Robin in through the window, and realised she was gone. You made your way through the crowd of people that spread themselves out throughout the house, looking for her. Somewhere, along the way, you had lost Nancy in the swarm of drunk bodies that filled every room of the house.
Suddenly, your search was interrupted when you ran straight into someone, causing both of you to fall to the floor.
“Hey, watch where you’re–”
“I’m so sorry,” You apologised, steadying your dizzy eyes.
“Y/N?”
“I’m so stupid, I should’ve–” You continued, not realising who you had run into. You scramble to get to your feet, but fall after a failed attempt. You lifted your head to look at the person and realise it’s Robin. Your mouth opens with a gasp and stills, staring at the girl for a moment.
“Y/N,” Robin repeated.
“Fuck. I’m sorry.” You said, blinking rapidly and waking yourself back up.
“No, no, don’t worry about it, pretty girl.” She replied, reaching out her hand for you to grab. You look down at her hand and then back at her. She moves it closer to you and wiggles her fingers, signalling for you to grab it. You reach for her hand and gently wrap your fingers around her palm, letting her pull you up to your feet. You take a deep breath and gulp, looking back into her eyes and maybe holding her hand for a little longer than you should’ve.
“Thank you.” You added, looking around the room to avoid eye contact. Robin looks down at your shirt, which is now covered in red punch.
“Shit, fuck, I’m so sorry,” She added, guilt flooding her voice. You looked down at your shirt and the big red stain that now came with it and sighed. You had gotten all dressed up for Robin, just to have her ruin your pretty little outfit with her drink. You looked up at Robin with a fake smile plastered onto your face.
“It’s fine, Robin.” You assured, looking around the room for the closest bathroom.
“I’m– fuck.” She cursed, running her hands through her hair. “Here, let me help.” She grabbed your hand and dragged you through the crowd of people, not caring for the other people she ran into. She grabbed the doorknob and pushed the door open, revealing two people making out inside. She cringed as she shut it again, before reopening it with her eyebrows raised.
“Steve?” She said, looking at the boy and girl who had now stopped kissing each other.
“Robin! H-Hey!” He called, wiping the lipstick off of his lip and turning to face her. He looked down at where your hands entwined and raised his eyebrow before looking back at her with a smile. “Oh, you two were– right, right, no, yeah.” He stuttered. You looked at him, confusion written all over your face.
“No, Steve–” Robin tried, but he stopped her.
“We’ll just get right out of your way,” He continued, grabbing the girl and dragging her out of the bathroom. It was almost like there was some kind of secret message floating between the two of them that couldn’t be spoken aloud; or at least not in front of you.
Robin rolled her eyes as she pulled you into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. She grabbed a couple pieces of toilet paper before wetting them under the tap. She moved to pat the paper against your shirt but stopped herself before awkwardly handing the paper to you instead. You took it from her with a smile and slowly began trying to get the stain out of your shirt.
You patted the paper against your shirt a couple more times before tossing it onto the sink. Robin looked at you.
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s gonna come out.” You added, breaking the silence.
“Wouldn’t be the first thing to not–” She paused. “Never mind.” She grabbed the scrunched-up piece of paper and bent down, holding it close to where the stain sat. She paused and looked up at you, “Can I..?”
“Oh yeah, sure, go for it.” You said. She gently pressed the paper against the stain, testing the waters, before lifting it back up and doing it again. She pulled away and stood up straight, nodding her head toward the counter. "Up."
"What?"
"Sit on the counter, it'll be easier for me." She instructed, nodding to the sink once more. You stared at her for a moment, your lips parted slightly and your eyebrows raised. "I said, sit on the counter." She added, her tone growing sterner. You quickly obliged, lifting your butt on top of the counter. Your feet dangled above the ground as you looked at Robin. She smiled at you before moving her hand to your face and gently pushing a stray hair behind your ear, "Good girl." Your cheeks reddened at the praise, undoubtedly noticeable.
She pulled away, grabbing some more paper towel before wetting it under the sink. She tried at the stain for a bit, awkwardly shifting the towel around your chest, making sure to avoid certain areas. Although she seemed to get more of the stain out than you did, it still wasn’t enough.
“Yeah, I don’t think it’s coming out.” She spoke, throwing the paper down. You giggled with a nod, looking down at your dangling feet.
“Yeah.”
“I’ll buy you a new shirt.” She said. You could tell by the tone of her voice that she wasn’t offering, she was stating.
It was just now that you realised you had somehow managed to get you and Robin in a room, alone. Your eyes glanced around the room, looking for something to strike up a conversation and keep her here.
“I thought Steve was your boyfriend.” You blurted out. You bit your lip anxiously as you waited for her response. She let out a small laugh but that did nothing to ease the tension you held in your body, begging for her to say what you had been waiting for this whole time.
“Nope, not my boyfriend.” She answered, picking up the wet paper and tossing it into the bin.
“Oh, so, do you have a boyfriend?” You asked, looking at her nervously.
“No.”
“Do you want a boyfriend?” You questioned, your composure slipping. She turned to face you with a smirk.
“Why do you wanna know so badly?” Robin asked.
“I– I don’t!”
“Well, you seem to be getting a little worked up about it.” She said, looking your body up and down. You now noticed how hard you were squeezing your hands, how clenched your jaw was and how high up your shoulders sat.
“I’m not worked up, I’m just–” You paused, searching for the right words to say. You relaxed your body, letting your shoulders fall as you let go of your palms with a defeated sigh.
“Just what, baby girl?” She said, tilting her head slightly like she knew she had power over you right now. The nickname sent shivers up your spine as you stared back at her, unable to get any words out.
Her fingertips gently grazed the top of your thighs, slowly getting closer to the end of your skirt. As your heart began to speed up, your eyes trailed down her face from her eyes to her lips. You bit your lip, lost in a trance at the feeling of her touching you.
"You gonna answer me, pretty girl?" She asked, raising both of her eyebrows. Her fingers danced along the edges of your skirt, playing with the hem gently. You blinked, looking back at her eyes and realising how she had shifted closer to you.
"I– um, I'm just–" You tried, unable to think with her hands on your body. She looked up at you, blinking innocently as her fingers slipped underneath your skirt and slowly inched closer to where you wanted to feel her the most.
"Can't think straight?" Robin asked, pouting at you mockingly. 'Literally' You thought. Your legs subconsciously parted, allowing her to move her body between them while her fingers crawled up your thigh. Her eyes stayed focused on yours, raising her eyebrows as if to ask for consent. You panted softly, nodding desperately for her. Her fingers moved to trace the outline of your panties, teasing you slowly.
"R–Robin," You breathed. Your eyes glued to her lips, wanting them on yours.
"What is it, baby?" She asked, tauntingly.
"I– I need–" You tried, gasping once you felt her fingertips gently grazing over your panties.
"What? What do you need?" She replied, keeping her eyes locked on your face. She cupped your chin with her other hand and titled your head to look at her eyes. "Tell me what you want, pretty girl." Her thumb trailed over your bottom lip before pulling it down gently.
"I want you."
"Hmm, I'm afraid you're gonna have to be a little bit more detailed than that, sweetheart." She taunted, running her fingers along your covered pussy. Your cheeks flushed red, not wanting to say the words aloud. "Aw, don't be embarrassed, baby," She cooed. She moved her face closer to yours, whispering in your ear, "I just want to hear you say it."
"P–Please, Robin–" You whimpered, trying to move your throbbing pussy that begged for more attention, closer to her fingers. "Please just touch me,"
"Where?"
"Robin!" You whined, throwing your head back.
"Alright, alright, shhh." She chuckled, slipping her fingers under your panties. Her fingers swirled around your wetness, “Fuck, you’re so wet for me baby.” You lifted your head when you felt the cool metal of her rings mixed with the warmth of her hands trail over your clit softly before moving lower. "Shh, you like that, beautiful?" She asked. You nodded desperately at her words, wanting more. "Wow, so desperate, so eager," She snaked her arm around your waist, helping to keep you steady, "I didn't know you were so– dirty."
"Mmm– please, Robin," You moaned, moving your hips against her hands as she rubbed slow circles around your entrance. The circles grew smaller and smaller until her fingers were pressing against your hole. You gasped when you felt one finger enter you, your eyes closing.
“W–Wait,” You whimpered. Her finger froze as her concerned eyes glanced up at your face. “Your rings.” She looked down at where her finger sat inside of you, only halfway in; the ring on her fingers pressed against your pussy lips.
“Hmm, maybe I should keep them on.” She said, smirking at you. “I mean, you wanted my fingers so badly, didn’t you?”
A wave of embarrassment flushed over you, making your cheeks turn red. She slowly eased her finger in, the coolness from the metal rings adding new sensations. She watched your face closely, making sure you liked what she was doing.
When all she was met with was moans and soft whimpers, she knew you were okay. She pushed in another, gently thrusting the two digits inside of you.
“That’s it, baby, you like that?” She asked. You nodded, wrapping your arms around her neck and holding her close as she fingered you. You pulled on the back of her neck, wanting to feel her lips on yours, and she obliged. She kissed you softly before pulling away, her eyes scanning your face for reassurance, before reattaching her lips to yours.
Her fingers thrusted faster into you, dragging a moan out of your mouth and into the kiss. You pulled away to let out another, letting your head fall back in pleasure. She licked her bottom lip as she smiled, watching you squirm and moan from her fingers. "I can't wait to see that pretty little face when you cum for me." She whispered into your ear. You felt your orgasm building as she curled her fingers, hitting that spot you never could.
"Oh!" You gasped, moans trailing after. Suddenly, she slowly started to slow her movements, taking your peak away from you. "R–Robin," You whined, moving your hips against her fingers to try and get more. She held your waist firmly, keeping you in place.
"Shh, pretty girl, I know." She said softly. "You were getting close, weren't you?" You looked away from her and bit your lip. She chuckled at your embarrassment, "Oh I know, sweetheart, but I have an idea I want to try." You lifted your eyes to meet hers as her free hand roamed your body. "I want you to fuck yourself on my fingers," Robin continued. A small whimper escaped from your lips at her words, making her smile grow even more.
"Oh, you like that?" She asked, teasingly moving her fingers inside of you. You rested your head against her shoulder, hiding your embarrassed face from her. "Oh, it's okay, baby," Her voice laced with condescending undertones and her torturously slow fingers making you squirm and whine. "Look at me." You peeled your face away from her shoulder and looked at her. "Good girl." She whispered, looking at your body up and down. Your legs clenched against her at the praise, making her attention immediately focus back onto your face.
"You like being called a good girl?" Robin teased. She leaned in closer to your ear, "Or do you like being my good girl?" Your body shuddered, signalling just how much you wanted her. She let out a small laugh and began slowly kissing your neck. She pulled away, "Go ahead baby, make yourself cum on my fingers." She whispered. You bit your lip and slowly started thrusting your hips against her fingers. Robin looked down at where her fingers met with your body, groaning softly at the sight of her rings hitting the edges of your pussy; sometimes slipping in.
"Thats it, good girl," She praised, slowly starting to help you move your hips. "Ride my fingers, thats it," You rocked back and forth on her fingers, letting out soft moans and gasps at the pleasure. "Mmm, so pretty," Her hand rubbed around your waist, feeling the curvatures of your body. "You like that? You like feeling my fingers inside of you?" She teased, kissing your jaw.
"Yes, so good– it's so good." You moaned, your brows furrowing as you tried to grind against her faster. Your hips moved greedily, trying to make yourself cum on her fingers. You looked desperate. You felt your body getting tired, no longer having the same energy to keep up with what you wanted. "Robin~" You cried, pouting at her. She raised an eyebrow before mockingly pouting back at you.
"What is it, my sweet girl?" She asked, titling her head as you moved against her fingers. "You getting tired?" Her words teased and mocked you, making you feel like desperate pet, but you loved it. You nodded, tears pooling in your eyes at your own frustration. "Can't make yourself cum on my fingers, baby?"
"I need more– I need you–" You begged, your movements slowing. She cupped your face, pushing your hair behind your ears.
"Oh I know, baby, I know," Robin said, nodding slowly with a teasing frown. "You just look so pretty when you beg." She started thrusting her fingers again. Your frustrated pout curled into a smile, moaning at the pleasure she was giving you. "You just relax and let me take care of you, okay?" She pressed her lips against yours slowly.
"Yes, yes, thank you!" You moaned, throwing your head back. A part of you was embarrassed to be acting like this, so desperate, but the other part didn't care. She pressed down on your lower belly as her fingers moved faster.
"Is my pretty girl gonna cum for me?"
"Y-yes! Oh, yes, please!" You yelled, starting to move your pussy against her fingers again. She began trailing kisses down your neck.
"Shhh, baby girl, you gotta be quiet," She added before sucking on your collar bone and definitely leaving a mark. "We wouldn't want anyone to know what we're doing in here, would we?" You shook your head as you bit your lip, trying to quiet your moans. You could feel your orgasm building as your eyes rolled back and your desperate moans turned to open-mouthed silence.
Robin looked at you, nodding with a smile as you started to fall apart on her fingers. "Yes, baby, thats it," She encouraged, thrusting through your orgasm. "Cum for me, baby, cum all over my fingers." You smacked your hand over your mouth, silencing the moans that emerged from your throat as you shook uncontrollably. "Oh baby, you look so pretty cumming on my fingers," She continued, watching your face contort with pleasure. "Good girl, keep cumming all over yourself." Your eyes shut tightly as waves of pleasure crashed through you repeatedly.
Your hand raced to grab her wrist as the pleasure began to overwhelm you, but your strength was no match for hers. She continued thrusting her fingers into you through your orgasm, making you shake and moan uncontrollably. You desperately squirmed trying to get away from the pleasure she was giving you; the sensation becoming too much.
“R–Robin I–” You whined as she held you still. She pressed her forehead to yours, still forcing her fingers in and out of your hole.
“Shh baby, you’re okay, you did so good.” She whispered before gently leaning down to kiss your lips. Your moans and whines were muffled by her mouth on yours; her firm grip around your waist stubborn. You wrapped your arms around the back of her neck as you moaned into the kiss, annoyed when you felt her lips pull away with a smirk. “You just look so pretty when you cum.” She said. The power she held over you was strong, stronger than either of you had realised.
As your high began to fade, Robin slowly started to ease her movements before gently pulling her fingers out of you, making you wince.
“Damn,” She pants, running her hands down your thighs as she pulls herself away. “You gonna say thank you, baby girl?” Her voice makes you shiver. You bit your lip as your cheeks flush red once more.
“T–Thank you.” You choke out.
“I wish you could see how fucking hot that was from my perspective.” She adds. You look away from her eyes, unable to bear the butterflies filling your stomach again. “Aw, you’re gonna act all shy now?” She asks, letting out a small laugh. “Baby, I just made you cum on my fingers, there's no need to be shy now.” Her lips formed a smirk that taunted you.
She knew the effect her words had on you. That's why it's so easy for her to be so confident and domineering around you. She loved how flustered you’d get at her flirty comments and not-so-friendly ‘accidental’ touches. She had you wrapped around her finger. Literally.
You gently pushed at her chest, rolling your eyes. You placed your hands on either side of the counter below you and gently slid yourself off. Robin pulled at your skirt, readjusting it to cover more of your legs. You were now both standing, facing each other with Robin towering over you. The two of you looked at each other for a moment as the room filled with silence. You fought against the urge to say something, too afraid to say the wrong thing.
You sighed with a nod, too nervous to say anything else, before turning toward the door to open it. She grabbed your waist, flinging you back around to face her and pressing you up against the door.
“You’re just going to leave me here like this, baby?” She asked, furrowing her brows and pressing her body into you. “Or are you going to return the favour?”

Her Birthday
Robin Buckley x fem!reader
Genre - Fluff, slight angst.
Warnings - Internalised homophobia? Reader feels like an outsider at first because of their sexuality.
Summary - Y/N hasn’t been hanging around with Robin as much as it nears the girls birthday, but there’s a good reason.
A/N - I think it’s kind of clunky but I love Robin.
Word Count - 1,238
Tumblr media
Robin was your girlfriend although she hadn't been seeing as much of you recently as she may have like. It was the weekend before her birthday and at first she thought that you we're planning to surprise her but she didn't have many friends and you didn't have much money for anything extreme. Then she thought you were avoiding her on purpose, that you wanted to break up with her, but then you'd call her at night and the two of you would talk to each other for a while as she could hear you making something with your sewing machine.
Your cute outfits where a part of the reason the two of you had gotten together, nobody in Hawkins could rival your brightly coloured closet of clothes that you'd made yourself. Robin had complimented your outfit's for a while, until her feelings for you had grown too strong and she began avoiding you, that's when you began to approach her. You'd smile as she babbled away, having asked her what she thought of your new outfit the girl went into a stumbling spiral about how incredible you looked, she was in such a state that she hadn't heard the bell for class ring. Inevitably the two of you began hanging out outside of school, you'd turn up at Scoops Ahoy and sit near enough that the two of you could talk with her still behind the counter. Miraculously Steve was never in sight when you showed up, although Robin didn't need to know he was the one feeding you her timetable.
Your first kiss was in your bedroom, Robin had been comforting you on your feelings, you felt like a freak being attracted to someone who wasn't a guy. You'd felt alone your entire life, but one kiss had been able to block out those thought, you started dating one another not long after. Soon enough you were crying outside a burning building, praying that she was safe. That was the first time you'd told her you loved her.
Months later she was sat in her room wondering when you'd become so busy. She wanted to know if the two of you could go out to eat for her birthday but your call's were so short she never got the time. It made her frustrated, but Robin wasn't the type of person to confront issues so she let you be. As the day ticked away, she wondered if you could have forgotten her birthday. She didn't know how she'd react if you did, the thought made her want to cry but she thought it would anger her less than it did. The idea that you were playing around with her feelings, calling her but not trying to see her made her feel too much and when you called her that night she didn't answer.
You turned around, having reached the door. "I love you too, Robin." You pulled on the handle. "I'll see you tomorrow and you can the night."
Robin spent her morning with her parent's until just before noon when she went to hang out with her friends. At 7:55 pm Steve dropped her off outside the restaurant, promising to drop her birthday presents off the next day so she didn't have to carry them. She walked inside and saw you stood at the back of the line. "Boo!" you jumped a bit in shock before hugging her.
"Happy birthday, Robin!" You smiled at her excitedly. "When we sit down your gonna tell me about everything you got." Your conversation continued until you where sat down. "You can open your present from me when we go to my house, I left it there because of how clumps you are. I though you might get food all over it." Robin was in no place to argue.
After you drove back home, you directed Robin to your room and led her over to your bed where she sat down, "Okay, close your eyes. I'm gonna give you your present." Robin did as you asked and you place the large bag in front of her. "Open your eyes, love."
The bag was full of wrapped up presents. "Oh my god, You're insane." Robin spoke as she began opening the presents.
The first thing she opened was a pair of trousers. "Did you make these?" You nodded your head, happy to see her so excited over the present. Robin stood up from the bed and compared them against herself, they were the perfect size. "You're incredible, is this why you've been gone so much?"
You nodded. "You kept complaining that there wasn't anything in the stores around here that fit your properly." Robin walked towards you and kissed you deeply.
"I thought you'd forgotten about my birthday or that you maybe wanted to break up. Don't worry me like that again Y/N." She chided you softly.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to do something special for you." Smiling up at her you knew that there was nothing to be sorry for.
Robin spoke, inching her lips closer to your own. "God, I love you"
"Well, I love you more." Robin went to speak again but you closed the gap between the two of you before she could argue.

Honey
Tumblr media
Pairing: Nancy Wheeler x fem!reader Summary: It's a shitshow of a summer and Nancy Wheeler has the prettiest smile you have ever seen. A/N: Hi! And welcome back! This is part 2 of Honey!! There will be more parts to come and just like last time, I am open to suggestions or other ideas! I have not yet created a masterlist but I am working on having that added soon!! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!! Okay, love you, bye! ----
Later that night, after everyone had been found and delivered to their respective homes safely, Robin and I started getting ready for bed.
“Nancy and Y/N sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-OW!” Robin howled out as a tattered copy of It by Stephen King bounced off her hip. “That could have actually killed me. Do you see how big this thing is?”
“Stop being dramatic. And stop singing that stupid song.” I spat back. The moment that Robin and I were alone and away from everyone else, she began her relentless session of teasing.
“I’ll stop singing it when it becomes true.” Robin shrugged. “I saw the way you two were eyeing each other. If you had told me last year that Nancy Wheeler, the Nancy Wheeler, was gay…”
“She’s not,” I interjected. “And you know, it kind of sucks that you keep rubbing that in. I wish I had never even mentioned this stupid crush to you.”
Robin stared at me with her mouth hanging open. The look on her face was somewhere between amused and annoyed. “Are you shitting me right now?”
I picked at the stitching on my pajama shorts and shrugged. “No, I mean, of course, I would have told you, but ugh, God you are so annoy-”
“No, shut up, not that.” Robin interrupted. “Sometimes you can be a huge dingus, even more so than Harrington. Nancy Wheeler is most certainly gay.”
I rolled my eyes. “Please, elaborate. I would love to hear more.”
Robin studied my face. “Hurtful, but I will elaborate because I am a damn good friend!” She threw my stuffed rabbit at me. “When you told me back in 8th grade that you had a crush on her, I remember thinking that there was no way in hell that would ever work out. Miss Fancy Nancy, with a girl? Laughable. Absolutely outrageous. And then Nancy and Steve started dating, which ya know I loved because finally, Tammy would stop looking at him with her stupid googly eyes.”
“Ah yes, the stupidest of googly eyes.”
“But oh so gorgeous!” Robin sighed, “Anyways, Steve and Nancy broke up, and then she was with Johnathon. And I always kind of wondered if she had a fling with Billy but I guess that’s one secret we will never know. But then I met all of them because of Steve and I noticed there was always something about Nancy that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. And then I introduced the two of you.”
Robin walked over to where I was sitting on my bed. She jumped up beside me and turned to face me. “I have a pretty intense gaydar.”
“Gaydar!” I exclaimed! “How could I think for one second you were going to be serious? You actually had me going there for a minute.”
Robin looked annoyed as she shushed me. “I am being serious. It’s pretty accurate. I know about Eddie, and Will too! Nancy never set it off before, but now she lights up the charts, and recently I noticed a bit of a ping from Steve, which I am still trying to figure out. But like, I picked up on you from day one!”
“You picked up on me?!” I guffawed. “Robin, I didn’t even know until we were older, and when I told you, you seemed pretty shocked.”
“That’s showbiz baby!” Robin shot finger guns at me. When my face remained unchanged she cleared her throat. “I was obviously acting, and you weren’t subtle. I watched you drool over all kinds of girls. But that’s not my point. My point is the fact that you and Nancy want each other and there is a heavy attraction between the two of you that everyone picks up on. The sooner you two realize it, the better off we will all be.”
“Do you honestly hear yourself sometimes?”
“Not always, no.” She shook her head.
“Nancy is with Johnathon, and what you are probably feeling is the awkward tension I’m exuding. I love you, but sometimes, you can be a pretty big dingus yourself.”
Shocked, Robin replied, “Don’t use my word against me! And you’re wrong, but I guess you’ll be finding that out on your own.”
“Whatever, weirdo. I’m going to bed.” I said shoving her to her side and pulling back the covers. Robin laughed and pulled her side back too. She tucked herself in and rolled onto her side facing away from me.
“Goodnight, Y/N. Sweet, Nancy dreams!” She singsonged. I just turned off the bedside lamp in response, cloaking us in total darkness.
—-
The Family Video store parking lot was empty as I chained my bike to the rack outside. It wasn’t unusual to see the space uninhabited so early in the mornings. Most people preferred to rent and return their movies in the evenings. Which was perfectly fine with me, as it gave me time to spend with my friends.
The bell above the door jingled as I pushed it open and stepped in. Steve was standing at the counter stacking blank membership cards into a house of cards. He was fully concentrated on his task, making each move carefully and slowly. He never once looked up, eyes locked in on the house of cards. His tongue was poking out between his lips and his eyebrows furrowed in concentration.
“Good morning, Steve.” I called out, walking towards the back of the store. No reply.
I continued through the store, glancing at familiar titles as I approached the ‘Employee Only’ section. The door was already open so I popped my head inside. Robin was sitting with her back to me, slumped onto the desk, sleeping.
“What are you doing?!” I yelled out, trying to hide my smile. Robin jumped up instantly knocking over her chair and spilling VHSs to the ground. She turned around quickly with a panicked expression that very quickly turned to one of annoyance.
“You’re such a bitch,” she breathed out.
“I just can’t believe you would sleep on the job, and leave poor, defenseless Steve out there to all those horrid customers. Plus, you slept at my house last night, peacefully too, why are you so tired?” I pulled two bananas from my bag and handed her one. She stretched and yawned before accepting it.
“I never sleep peacefully at your house. You snore like a freight train.” Robin muttered, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
“Son of a -” Steve yelled out from the front. Robin and I exchanged glances before going to investigate.
There were blank membership cards all over the floor and counter. Steve stood there in a defeated stance, one card still in hand. He looked at us like we were the ones who knocked over his tower before dropping the other card he was holding. It hit the floor with a light clack against another card.
“I’m not helping you pick those up.” Robin deadpanned. They both started to argue before Robin caught Steve in a headlock. He finally agreed to pick them up but not before sharing his thoughts on Robin's aggression.
“You really need to look into therapy, wacko.”
“And you really need to grow up, dingus.”
I turned to Robin and interrupted them before they could continue. “Why did I need to meet you here so early?”
“Oh yeah, here.” She said, handing me a pair of keys. “You and Nancy are going to do some recon for us.”
“W-w-wait, what?” I stuttered out.
“You, and, Nancy, are, going, to, do, some, recon, for, us.” Robin repeated herself, much slower.
“I heard you the first time bu–”
“If you heard me why did you say what?” She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. Steve laughed from the floor.
“Why me and Nancy? Why not Johnathon? Or Eddie?”
Steve stood up, stacking the cards he had picked up from the floor by the register. “Because no one else is available. Robin and I are working. Johnathan is doing some photography for some old ladies' cats or something, I didn’t care to ask, and Eddie is busy.”
“Doing what?” I asked.
“He has that Hellfire club thing today.”
“He’s graduated. Why is he still running that? Shouldn’t he pass it off to one of the kids by now? And why are they even doing that today? They know we have work to do!”
Steve shrugged and leaned back down for more cards. “They do it for Will. Just let them have this, they’ve been through enough. You and Nancy will be fine, we just need someone to stake out the labs.”
I bit my lip and sighed. “What are we looking for?”
Robin handed me a bag. “Here are some snacks and drinks to get you guys through. We figured we might actually do it in shifts, and give everyone a bit of a break. Since the other crew couldn’t find more info on Vecna at the Creel house, we’re just looking for any activity, literally any activity, at the labs to show us where he may be.”
I was with them all when we last faced up against Vecna. He had hurt Max pretty bad, and we were all thankful she pulled through with 100% recovery. Even with that blessing, we still had a long way to go. Vecna had escaped from our grasps, not before taking a beating from Nancy and El, and things had been pretty quiet since then. Or at least they were until we had found another gate.
It was months after the attack, and a lot of us were injured and still healing when Dustin called an emergency meeting. He told us about how he and Eddie had found another gate in the woods by Eddie’s house. They had been looking for inspiration on their newest DnD campaign when Eddie fell through what they thought was a sinkhole.
We monitored it for months, taking shifts, mostly at night, waiting for something to happen, and it never did. A few weeks ago, Mike had gotten frustrated with no progress and demanded we venture into the Upside Down to look for anything that would lead us to Vecna. All of our searches turned up empty. In fact, we didn’t see or hear anything while exploring until yesterday morning when we crossed paths with a Demogorgon. Nancy and I had gotten separated from the group with the monster in between us and them.
I shuddered at the thought of the monster and its chittering. “No exploring? Just monitoring?” I asked.
“That’s it. Just monitoring.” Steve said.
I sighed again, turning towards the front of the store. “Alright.” I gripped the keys in my hand and threw the bag over my shoulder. “There better be gas in that car Harrington.” The bell above the door jingled again as I pulled it open and stepped out into the parking lot, heading towards Steve’s car.
—-
The car ride to the lab was silent as I steered the car through the slight twists and turns on the winding road. Nancy stared out the passenger side window at the trees as we passed by. It had been a few minutes since we last saw a home, indicating that we were getting closer to the labs.
Nancy turned to me and smiled, “I’m glad we’re doing this together.”
My face flushed as my mouth got dry. I tried to focus on driving and not so much on how my body was reacting. I prayed she hadn’t noticed. “Really? Why’s that?” I asked her, stealing a glance.
Nancy turned to face forward. “We don’t spend much time together. I feel like I barely know you, and I’d like to.” She looked down at her hands in her lap with a slight smile on her face before turning to me again. “We have studied at the same school our entire lives, and I hate that it took us this long to meet.” She shrugged slightly and added, “but I’m glad we finally did.”
My heart did somersaults at the last line. I glanced at her again with a smile. “Yeah, me too.”
Nancy turned in the seat so that she was completely facing me. She propped her elbow on the back of the seat and tucked her leg under her, making herself comfortable. She reached for the snack bag and began to unzip it. “So, let’s start with some of the basics. Tell me, Y/N, what’s your favorite color?”
“Uhm, I don’t know. Pale pink?” I replied, turning into the parking lot of the lab. “Do you think it’s completely obvious if we just sit here?”
Nancy turned to look at the lab and then back to me. “Oh, absolutely. There was a small turn-off back this way.” She said pointing back to where we just came from. “We could park the car there and walk closer. At least then we would have the foliage to hide us if things get sticky. Speaking of sticky, did you bring any weapons, ya know, just in case?” Her eyes widened a bit by the last question.
“I’m not sure.”
We pulled off the road and made sure the car was hidden from anyone passing by, though there should definitely not be any cars coming this far down. I popped the trunk to see what all we could use. Nancy walked up beside me with the snack bag thrown over her shoulder. She threw a handful of M&Ms into her mouth that she had pulled out earlier, she turned the bag to me and I accepted a few.
“Let’s see,” Nancy began. She reached in and pulled Steve’s bat out. “This should work perfectly! What else do we have?”
I looked in the trunk. There were a few jackets, magazines, and cassettes mixed together. I also spotted a walkie-talkie and a pair of nunchucks. I raised my eyebrow at them as I picked them up. Nancy looked at me and together we both said, “Eddie.” I placed them back in the backpack just in case. As I went to shut the trunk I noticed a can of Farrah Fawcett’s hairspray. I picked it up and shook it, noticing it was still pretty full.
“Leave it to Steve.” I joked. Before I could put it back in the trunk though, Nancy grabbed my arm.
“Wait,” she said, reaching into her pocket. She pulled out a zippo lighter and handed it to me. Smiling, she recommended, “we should bring it with us.”
“Nancy we’re going to set all of Hawkins on fire.”
She shrugged, “let it burn I say.” And with that, she slammed the trunk.
—-
“Pale pink, huh?” Nancy asked. We were sitting on the grass on the edge of the woods by the labs.
“What?”
“Pale pink, your favorite color.” Nancy reminded me.
“Oh yeah! It is. What about you, what’s yours?”
“I like red. It’s just such a powerful color. It can signify so many different things, like warmth.” She said raising her face to the sun. “Or even,” she wiggled her eyebrows at me. “Danger.” We both busted out laughing.
Sitting here with her and talking came so easily. I was worried that we wouldn’t have much to say, or that I would make things awkward between us as I usually do with others. It was different with Nancy. I didn’t feel anxious or forced to carry on a conversation. It felt like jumping into a cold pool on a hot day. It was refreshing.
I leaned back on my hands and stretched my feet out in front of me. We continued to chat and laugh about all sorts of things. We talked about movies, music, and school. We talked about our family, friends, and work. Our conversations flowed together seamlessly and I prayed that this feeling would never end. Every time Nancy smiled at me or laughed, I could feel the butterflies in my stomach come to life. As cliché as it sounds, I could listen to the melodic rhythm of her laugh until the end of time.
“Okay, okay, okay,” Nancy said in between laughs. She had just told me a story about the first night Steve came to her house. He had mistaken the neighbor's fence as hers and jumped it, hoping to find an easier way up to her window. Instead, he came face to face with the neighbor’s rottweiler who proceeded to chase him into their pool, but not before ripping off his pants leg to his jeans. Luckily, Nancy had heard the commotion and was able to find a way to distract the dog so Steve could make his lucky escape. “Seriously though,” she giggled. “Let’s talk crushes! Is there anyone you’ve got your eye on currently? Or maybe you already have someone that you are keeping hidden from us?”
My mouth instantly dried up and my heart began to race again. I could feel my cheeks heating up and, had she always been this close to me? I could lie, easily, and say something stupid like that I have a crush on Eddie, or she probably wouldn’t be surprised if I said it was Steve. Did she know? Did Robin tell her? Maybe Steve did. My palms began to sweat and right as I was about to blurt something out, a line of SUVs sped into the lab's lot.
We both scrambled back into the safety of the trees and bushes and watched with wide eyes as they all parked at the front of the building. Nancy grabbed my hand and started towards the car.
“Let’s go, we have to tell the others.”

In the backroom?!
Robin Buckley x Fem!Reader
Warnings: 18+, Fem!receiving, fingering.
Words:1.0k
The bell rings above me as I walk into the video store. Steve walking past me, giving me a smile,
“Hey, I'm gonna go grab lunch for me and Robin. Do you want anything?” He asks, walking backwards.
I shake my head, “Nah I’m good. I ate before I came here.” I said, putting my bag under the counter.
“Where’s Robin anyways?” I ask, fixing the counter up a bit.
“She’s in the backroom opening up a new box of movies we got.” He said, putting on his jacket and grabbing his keys.
“I'll be back in 20 minutes! See ya!” He waves, exiting the building.
I walk to the backroom and open the door, “Robin!” I called out, “Where are you?!” I asked.
“Over here! To your left!” She called back.
I walked over, looking down at her sprawled on the floor with random movies laying everywhere.
I laugh, “What happened here?” I ask, grabbing her hands and pulling her up into a sitting position.
“I was putting them in alphabetical order so it's easier to put them on their shelves, but my elbow hit the stack and knocked them all on the floor!” She exclaimed.
“And why are you laying on the floor?” I ask, taking a seat next to her, brushing her hair out of her face, letting my touch linger for a second before moving my hand to my lap.
“Well, when I bent down to pick them up, I kind of slipped and made the rest fall, so I've just been laying here for the past 3 minutes.” She responded, looking up at me.
I looked down at her nodding.
“Well, do you want some help picking them up?” I said, standing back up again, offering my hand to help her up.
She nodded, bending down to pick up the tapes.
I bend down to grab some too. Putting them on the table and reaching for more, only for Robin to reach for the same one and our hands touch.
We look up at the same time, staring at each other for a minute before she quickly removes her hand and stands back up to put the movies on the table.
Scrambling to find the tapes that start with the letter ‘A’.
I stare for a second before walking behind her and grabbing her hands to stop her.
“Calm down Robin. What's wrong?” I ask, slowly trailing my hands up her arms and down her back, wrapping them around her waist.
Her breath hitches.
“N-nothing’s wrong. Why would you think something is wrong? And w-what are you doing?” She asks, resting her hand on top of mine.
I lean over, resting my head in her neck, littering small kisses up and down it.
She leans her head back, resting hers on my shoulder. Her breath quickened.
“I'm trying to calm you down. This okay?” I asked her, trailing my hands down, resting them just above the button of her jeans.
She nods quickly and pulls away to turn to face me, “Before we do anything…I just want to tell you that I really like you” She said slowly, seeming almost nervous.
I smile, leaning in, my lips slightly brushing hers. “I like you too Robin.”
She smiled back, leaning forward and presses our lips together.
Wrapping my arms around her waist, I pull her into me, trailing kisses down her neck until I hear her whimper, knowing I hit her sweet spot.
“Mmmm, you seem so tense…lemme help you out” I said, trailing my hands up her shirt, resting them under her bra.
She nods, muttering a quiet yes before leaning her head back and closing her eyes.
I turn her around so her back is to me, trailing my hands down to her jeans and unbutton them.
Slipping my hand down her pants, I rub her clit over her underwear. Hearing a quiet moan escape from her, I start to rub faster.
“Oh god” She whispers, turning her head to look at me, “More please, I need moree” She whines.
I lean in, giving her a kiss, moving her underwear aside.
She moans against my lips. I move my fingers up and down her slit before slowly pushing them in.
“O-ohh” She says, bucking her hips against my fingers.
“Yeah, that feel good, my love?”
“Mmhmm” She nods. I start pumping my fingers faster, taking my other hand and rubbing her clit.
She squeezes her eyes shut, mumbling nonsense to herself.
Pumping my fingers faster, I can tell she’s getting closer to her orgasm.
“Im gonna cum, Oh my god” She says
Rubbing her clit faster, I kiss her neck, “Go ahead baby, cum for me.” I said, encouraging her.
She cums all over my fingers, bucking her fingers while I slow my pumping, helping her ride out her orgasm.
She whimpers as I slowly take my fingers out and bring them to her lips.
She opens her mouth, sucking them clean and then leaning in to kiss me. I taste her on her lips and groan in delight.
“Mmm, you taste so good” I said, pulling her in to kiss me again. Not hearing the bell ring out front.
“WHAT THE FUCK?!” Steve exclaims walking in with a bag of McDonalds.
“Oh my-! Are you guys kidding me?! In the Backroom?!” He yells.
Me and Robin just look at eachother shrugging, she buttons up her jeans and grabs the bag of food walking to the front.
I follow after her, Steve just standing there like an idiot.
Robin pulls out her chicken nuggets and fries, feeding me a fry as we just stare at steve.
“How long do you think he’s gonna stand there before we get bombarded with questions?” I ask her.
“I bet 5 minutes. So imma hurry and eat this food” She said, Shoving a nugget in her mouth.
I just laugh, staring at her, “Wanna go to the movie later?” I ask her.
She stops mid bite and looks at me, “I-uh sure. What time?”She asks, staring back at me.
“Let's say 8. After work i'll come by and pick you up.” I said.
And she smiled, nodding, “I look forward to it” She said.
“Me too” I said, stealing another one of her fries.

It'll Never Be Real - Robin Buckley
WARNINGS: Food, internalised homophobia, angsty-ish, swearing, kissing.
SUMMARY: You've been avoiding Robin for a while now, ever since the last week of school when she confessed something you weren't ready for.
CHARACTERS: Robin Buckley, Nancy Wheeler, Steve Harrington, mention of Billy Hargrove & Mike Wheeler.
A/N: Just to give you a bit of a timeline, this is happening way before the events of season three. Steve doesn't know Robin is gay yet. I wanted to write it like he already knew, but obviously the mall "burnt" down after season three so it wouldn't make sense if they worked at scoops. I'll try to write one where he knows using the family video store which they work at in season four :)
Your POV:
On a hot summer's day like today, the only thing better than going for a swim in Hawkins' community pool, would be getting some ice cream. You and Nancy had planned to go swimming at the pool, but that plan was quickly shut down once you found out Billy Hargrove got a job there as a lifeguard. You had nothing against Billy other than his rough exterior, his harsh words and his overwhelming urge to look so damn punchable. So actually, you had a lot against him. But to be fair he was a pain in the ass.
Now that your pool plans had been ruined, the best option you had was the mall. It had opened at the beginning of summer causing chaos. Everyone wanted to be there. Hawkins was a small town and the new mall was the biggest thing to happen there since Nancy's younger brother's friend went missing and your friend, Barb, too. You still shudder at the thought of it.
Pushing past the unwelcome thoughts your mind always seemed to wander to, you forced your lips into a smile as you stepped out of Nancy's car. Though, it didn't take long before your fake smile turned into a real one. You loved the mall. You had gone almost every day of the summer since it opened. You and Nancy walked together through the mall, basking in its colourful glory.
"What should we do first?" Nancy asked, her smile growing bigger the more she looked around. You pointed to one of the stores, lit up with bright fancy lights that showcased all the colourful shoes it offered.
"That one!" You squealed, grabbing a hold of Nancy's hand and dragging her into the shoe store.
In just an hour and a half, the two of you had already covered multiple stores and were now carrying a heap of bags. Both of your eyes lit up after noticing the bright blue and red lights of the sign that read, 'Scoops A'Hoy.'
"Ice cream!" You squealed, turning to look at Nancy who carried the same expression as you.
"Uh, hell yeah!" She replied. She grabbed a hold of your hand and began pulling you through the crowd of people, aiming directly for the ice cream parlour ahead. Just as the two of you were about to reach the entrance, Nancy stopped. She gasped before quickly pulling on your hand, dragging you to the side and out of sight from the employees, and moving you away from your promised destination.
"Nancy!" You whined, unsure of why she pulled you away.
"Shhh!" She hushed. "It's Steve! I didn't know he worked here!" She peeped her head around the corner, looking at the brunette at the counter once more, before moving to look at you again.
"Huh?" You said, turning and following her eye-sight into the store. Your eyes locked on Steve Harrington, Nancy's ex.
"Yikes, Nance," You started, wincing at the sight. "Maybe we should go somewhere else."
"No, no. It's fine." She said. She brushed out her dress and fiddled with her hair, trying to gather herself.
"Nance?" You questioned, raising a brow.
"What?" She said blankly, looking back at you. "Oh, come on, I'm just trying to look presentable."
"Presentable?"
"I don't want to look like I need him, you know?"
"You don't need him." You corrected, folding your arms.
"Yeah, but, he tends to see whatever he wants to see." She replied, pushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. You shrugged before you both slowly made your way inside the parlour. Nancy wore a straight face, pretending as if she was not affected by Steve's presence. You couldn't help but smile while looking at the ship-themed decor, the blue and white painted walls and the delicious desserts that filled the display cases. By the time you reached the counter, you were practically drooling.
"Ahoy ladies!" Steve yelled happily, not looking up from the counter. "What can I get yo-" He paused once he noticed Nancy. "Nancy, Uh- Hey." He quickly pulled his hat off of his head. She smiled sheepishly at him. The two of them stared awkwardly at each other for a moment before you decided to break the tension. You cleared your throat.
"Um, can we get one vanilla and one strawberry, please?" You said smiling. Steve's eyes broke away from Nancy's and quickly met yours.
"Oh, yeah, sure thing." He said. He tapped a few buttons on the cash register as you handed him some money. He turned to face the back window and peaked his head in slightly, "Hey, Robin, little help?" You flinched at the name that fell off of his tongue.
Robin? No. Please don't be Robin Buckley. Please. You thought. You had been desperately trying to avoid Robin Buckley ever since the end of the school year. She had built up the courage to admit that she liked you. You were shocked. Obviously. You had been told all your life that girls weren't supposed to like other girls, and you had always tried to ignore the part of you that did. You did like girls. But over time you had convinced yourself that you liked one thing more. Other people's validation.
[FLASHBACK]
"I don't know how to say this," She said, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "But, Um-" Her voice shook as she spoke. You bit your lip slightly, afraid of what she was about to say. "I like you." Your eyes shut tight as you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. You knew this was coming. "Like a lot, I really like you." Robin's eyes glanced over your face, trying desperately to get a read on whatever you were thinking.
"Robin, I–"
"Oh." She interrupted, sadness flooding her voice as it cracked and broke through her words. "I'm sorry, this was a bad idea, I shouldn't have-"
"No, no, Robin–"
"Look, I get it, you don't like me." She said, wiping away a tear that fell down her cheek, trying her best to cover up her feelings. "You like guys."
"Robin–"
"It's okay, it's fine, really,"
"Robin, look," You started. "It's complicated, okay?" You caught a glance of some of your other friends in the corner of your eye and your head immediately turned to face them. Robin followed your eyes, locking hers with the group of girls that laughed and giggled just a few steps away.
"It's not about me, is it?" She asked, her eyes pooling with tears once more. You turned back to her, not able to find any words to respond with. "It's not about liking guys, is it?" Another tear slid down her face as she bit her lip to stop it from trembling. "It's about you wanting to be little miss perfect for all of your stupid little friends." Her eyelashes blinked rapidly in an attempt to stop any more tears from escaping. She had already been vulnerable with you enough today, she didn't need to show any more of herself.
"Robin," You spoke softly.
"Just forget I said anything." She interrupted, grabbing her things and standing up. "Y/N, you may try to be perfect, but," she bit her lip and shook her head, letting out a small huff. "It's not real. It'll never be real because you're not yourself." And just like that, she turned and walked away.
You blinked rapidly, trying to hold in your tears, as you watched her walk further and further away from you. Your lips parted as you turned, now just looking at the blank space. As her words replayed over and over again in your mind, you gulped, trying to take them all in.
[END OF FLASHBACK]
Your whole life you had done whatever you could to get people to like you. You tried your hardest to be kind, to follow trends, and basically do whatever anyone asked of you. If you didn't meet their expectations, they would throw you out. You craved their validation. You needed them to like you.
As much as you wished that people would just accept you for you, you understood that it probably wasn't going to happen. It was unfair, you knew that. It was always going to be unfair.
"No thanks!" A voice called. As soon as you heard the voice responding to Steve, you knew it was her. You darted behind Nancy in an attempt to hide yourself from her. When you peeked over her shoulder, she was nowhere to be found.
"What? Robin?" Steve repeated. Suddenly, the window slammed shut, blocking Steve's view into the back room. He paused for a moment before slowly turning and making his way over to the ice cream canister. You and Nancy looked at each other, unsure of what just happened. You moved to stand next to her again. Steve slid open the freezer and scooped one scoop of vanilla before placing it into the cone. He handed it to you.
"Thank you." You replied, passing it over to Nancy. He turned back to the freezer before scooping another scoop, this time of strawberry, and placing it into a cone. He handed it to you with a smile bigger than before.
"So, Y/N, uh– how's it going?" He asked, resting one of his arms on the counter. You took a lick of your ice cream as you looked at him, not really sure what he was trying to do. Nancy stood beside you awkwardly. "You busy tonight?" As much as you felt bad for Steve, there was no way in hell you were going to play along with his little game to annoy Nancy. You had known Steve for ages and even became good friends with him, but Nancy was always going to be your priority.
"Yeah, um–" You stopped. "I have plans."
"Oh? Doing what?" He asked, raising a brow. You looked around, searching for any sort of excuse. Before you could get too ahead of yourself and answer with something crazy, Nancy interrupted you.
"Girls night!" She said, smiling awkwardly. She quickly pulled on your arm, dragging you out of the parlour and away from whatever awkward situation had just happened. The two of you giggled, arm-in-arm, as you talked about it.
Steve pressed his lips together and sighed. He really knew how to make a fool out of himself. He ran a hand through his hair as he pushed the door to the back room. Robin, his co-worker, was sitting in the corner nervously.
"Are they gone?" She peeped.
"Yep. They're gone." Steve breathed, flopping into one of the seats with a loud sigh. His browns suddenly furrowed as he flung his head up to look at Robin. "Wait– What just happened before?"
"Huh?"
"With you not doing your job? and slamming the window shut on my face?" He asked, annoyance lingering in his voice.
"What- I- Well- You know!" She stuttered, unable to get the right words out.
"No, actually, I don't know."
"Well! It's just–" She stopped herself, almost as if she were fighting with her own mind on what to say. "Never mind." Steve rolled his eyes before leaning back in his chair and letting out an annoyed groan.
"What is it? Just tell me!" He whined, growing more frustrated.
"Well, I don't know," She started, biting her lip. "A friend of mine really likes Y/N, like a lot," Steve turned to her and raised a brow. "And sh- He told her that he liked her." Her voice began to crack as she spoke. "And um, she didn't like him back." She looked down at the floor, "Or she was afraid to like him back."
"So?" Steve interrupted, breaking the emotional moment. Robin looked at him. "What does that have to do with you?"
"Nothing! It's just–" She paused, resting her head against the wall with a sigh. "It's just awkward because she knows I'm friends with him." She looked down, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. "She knows I know."
"Right, so it's awkward? So what?" Steve said, shrugging his shoulders. "Did you not see what just happened?" He added, referring to whatever had just happened at the counter before. Robin's frown quickly turned to a smile as she let out a small laugh.
"Yeah, that was pretty bad." She replied, smiling back at the boy. The two laughed for a moment before they were interrupted by loud teenagers giggling and the sound of the shop bell ringing repeatedly. They both groaned simultaneously.
"It's your turn." Steve said, leaning back in his chair.
The moment you and Nancy had left the store, she was quick to jump to her many questions.
"What was that?" She asked, looking toward you.
"Steve? Yeah, I know right." You laughed.
"No. I was talking about how you hid behind me."
"Huh? What? No, I didn't." You lied, trying to cover for yourself.
"Uh, yeah you did." She corrected. Your mouth opened as your mind searched for the right words to say, or the right excuse, but nothing came out. Just as you reached the parking lot, she stopped and turned to face you, grabbing your arms to keep you from moving. "Just tell me, do you like Steve?"
"What?" You gasped loudly, quickly looking around to see if anyone heard what she had just accused you of. "Steve? No!"
"Then why were you being weird?"
"I wasn't being weird!" You protested, jerking your head back quickly in shock.
"You froze when he asked you out."
"Yeah because I didn't know what to say!"
"Because you wanted to say yes, but you couldn't because I was there."
"No! Wait- what? No!" You argued back. You paused and took a step back, trying to ease the tension the two of you had created.  "Look, okay, it wasn't Steve I was nervous around."
"What?"
"He mentioned Robin." You said quickly before forcing your mouth closed in an attempt to stop yourself from saying something else you'd regret later.
"Huh? Who?" She questioned, raising a brow. You took a deep breath before finally giving up on your attempts to conceal what really happened.
"Robin Buckley. She works there." You replied softly, looking down at the floor. "He said her name, and I heard her voice, she was there."
"Um, okay? I don't understand."
"I've just been avoiding her, okay?" You snapped, wanting nothing more than to just move on from the subject.
"Are you going to tell me why?" She asked. You stared at her for a moment. Nancy was your best friend. You had known each other for years. She loved you and you loved her. But still, a part of you wasn't sure how she'd react to the truth.
"Just– something happened."
"What happened?" You had always loved Nancy's curiousness, it was a part of who she was. But now it was just making the fighting in your head worse. Should you tell her? Could you tell her? You were constantly at war with yourself, never truly understanding your own feelings and never truly being able to express them. You wished it didn't have to be this difficult. You wished that the panicked anxiety that tore through your stomach daily, forcing you to keep silent, would for once just go away.
"I can't." You said softly, almost like a whisper. Your voice cracked slightly as tears pooled in your eyes. Nancy noticed how fast your defences fell. She noticed how quickly you put up that wall and shut her out, just like you always did. But to be fair, it really wasn't your fault. It was the worlds.
She didn't say anything after that. Instead, she sighed and headed towards the car. You followed slowly behind her. When you both reached the car, you got inside and sat in silence for a moment. Suddenly, Nancy shifted in her seat to face you.
"Y/N," She said gently. You turned, looking at her, and realised the concern she now carried in her eyes. "I just want you to know that I'm here for you." Her brows furrowed softly as she nodded, gulping down the lump that grew in her throat. "You're my best friend, and you can tell me anything," She continued. She looked away quickly as she bit the inside of her cheek. Your lip began to tremble as tears flooded your eyes. You tried your hardest to hold them in. "Just know, I'm always going to love you no matter what."
Silence filled the car once more. She slowly looked up again and turned back to face you. Now she could see all of the emotion held up in your eyes and she could almost feel how heavy your heart sat behind them. She quickly wrapped her arms around you, pulling you in for a hug. A tear slid down your cheek as you held each other.
What you didn't know, was that Nancy knew. She had always known. And she loved you regardless. It didn't matter to her whether you liked girls or guys or anyone. People were people. People loved people. Nancy understood that. Little did you know, a lot of people understood that.
By the end of the week, you had built up the courage to go see Robin. You had been arguing with yourself back and forth ever since the day she confessed. You knew how hard it would've been for Robin to tell you, and even worse, you knew how hard it would've been to let that memory swim through her mind over and over again, tormenting her.
As you drove through the streets of the small town you lived in, small droplets of rain began to patter against the roof of your car. You didn't notice it at first. But when the light tapping turned to a much louder batting against the car, you worried that maybe it was a sign. A sign for you to turn the car around and go back home.
As you reached the familiar house and pulled over, you raced with the rain to get to the front door. Thankfully, the struggles of running through the rain gave you no chance to worry if this was the right decision. You instinctively knocked your hand against the door, wanting to get away from the rain. A few moments later, the door swung open revealing Robin's mother.
"Oh Y/N, it's so lovely to see you again!" She said, smiling. She looked at your slightly wet hair and the light droplets of water that fell from your shoulders. Thankfully, you hadn't gotten too wet. "I feel like I haven't seen you in ages!"
"Uh, is Robin home?"
"Oh, right, yes!" She replied, turning to glance around the room. "She should be here somewhere, probably her room," She moved aside, signalling for you to come in. You walked through the door and headed towards Robin's room. You paused at the closed door. Was this a bad idea?  You thought. Before you got the chance to further argue with your own thoughts, your hand lifted itself to the door and knocked.
"What?" Robin called out from behind the door. Your mouth opened but no words escaped. "What is it?" She said louder, annoyance lingering in her voice.
"Uh, it's me." You managed to choke out. There was no response. Instead, your ears were met with the sounds of Robin ruffling and running towards the door. You gulped as you watched the knob turn and the door fall back.
"Y/N?" She said softly. She looked you up and down, unsure if it was really you.
"Hey, uh–" You paused to clear your throat, sucking up the courage to actually talk to her. "Can we talk?" She stared at you for a moment before moving aside, allowing you into her room. She shut the door behind you. "Look, um, I just wanted to say I'm sorry." You said. Your leg bounced up and down as you avoided eye contact. "I'm sorry for how I reacted and I'm sorry for avoiding you and–" You stopped yourself. You knew what your mind wanted to say but you weren't sure if you'd ever be able to find the right words to say it. A part of you didn't want to say it at all, but you forced yourself to ignore the part of you that told you to hide.
"Y/N," She whispered. Your name fell off her lips so gently that it was almost like she never said it at all. You looked up at her eyes, watching as they filled with tears. Say it. Just say it. You thought. But you couldn't. And you wondered if you'd ever be able to say it.
The brief moment of silence between the two of you gave you your chance. You opened your mouth, begging for the right words to spill out, but instead, it closed. Instead, your eyes lingered down to her lips and before you knew it, you collided. You pressed your lips against hers. She fell back a little, shocked at the sudden movement, before kissing you back. You both pulled away and stared at each other.
"I–" You started. You licked your lips as you looked down. "Fuck, I'm sorry, I–" Your mind began to fill with millions of unwanted thoughts that tore through your mind repeatedly, yelling at you that you had done something wrong. Before you could dig the hole deeper, you rushed out of her room. You could hear the faint sounds of her calling your name but you ignored them. You hurried through her house and out the door, running straight into the pouring rain.
You gasped as you felt someone grab your wrist and swing you back around. Your lips met with Robin's once more as she pulled you into her. You froze for a moment before wrapping your arms around her neck, allowing yourself to deepen the kiss. Her hand slid up to your cheek, gently holding it as her other grabbed onto your waist. She held you close to her, not breaking the kiss. The rain hissed as it fell down on the two of you, drenching your hair and clothes.
You blinked rapidly as you pulled apart, looking back into Robin's eyes. You stared at each other for a moment, still holding each other, but unable to talk. Your chest heaved as you looked at her blue eyes through the rain, watching as they sparkled. Suddenly, her hand moved from your face as she broke the silence.
"Y/N–"
"I like you." You interrupted. Your teeth instinctively bit your lip, telling you to shut up, but you didn't. "I like you a lot." Your breathing slowed as the tension in your body fell. It was scary, sure, but it sure felt good to say it. "Like a lot, a lot."
"A lot, a lot?" She mimicked, tilting her head with a smile.
"A lot, a lot." You repeated, your smiles turning to soft giggles. She grabbed your face gently, stroking your cheek with her thumb and looking at you lovingly. "I don't want to hide anymore," You said. Her eyes moved to your lips and then back to your eyes. She pulled you into her, attaching her lips to yours once more. Your arms tightened around her neck, trying to bring her closer as you laughed and kissed in the rain.
Little did you know, that in a few weeks time, you'd be sucked into a supernatural mess filled with secret Russian operations and otherworld dimensions. And even worse, Steve Harrington.

I’m happy here
Robin Buckley x Fem!reader

Summary - Reader expresses to Robin their lack of desire to go to college whilst Robin tries to persuade them at first.
A/N - This is awful, I’m sick at the moment so that’s probably why. It’s also excessively short because my migraine is making it hard to look at a screen for too long.
Word count - 441
Tumblr media
Robin was sat patiently listening to you rant, watching you walk back and forth across the floor. "I don't see what the big deal is! I don't want to go to college, I'm happy here." You spoke pacing around your girlfriends room.
You looked over at Robin who nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah, I get it. I don't want you to leave either." She spoke softy, readjusting herself on her bed .
"I'm not bothered about spending the rest of my life working in a supermarket, why do I have to have these massive goal in life. All I want is to be happy with you, that's a battle enough never mind the coursework and the people. I have friends here, I have you, Steve, Dustin, Lucas and Mike."
She was trying to understand you, but she also wanted what was best for you. "I know, but you'll regret it if you don't go."
"Robin, I won't. I don't want to be apart from you, long distance relationships are hard to maintain and if I go far away we'll have timezone differences too. What if I make friends with the wrong people, people who won't accept me, accept us. Robin, I know who's safe here - Steve already knows we're together and he covers for us - I don't see why I should go anywhere else - I don't wanna go anywhere without you." Robin got off of her bed and walked over to you. She wrapped her arms around you and shushed you.
"You're acting like we're not going to be here when you get back. Y/N, I love you and nothing is going to change that." You nodded your head at her words.
Sighing you looked her in the eyes. "I love you too. But I don't want to go, how the hell am I gonna know now what I'm going to want ten years from now. It'd stupid, I don't even know what I want for breakfast tomorrow how can I go off and plan for the rest of my life based on something I don't care about." You pulled yourself away from her. "I'll do whatever keeps me with you. So long as we can keep a roof over our head and afford food I don't care about what I have to do to keep us together."
Robin held your hand. "You don't have to go, nobody's forcing you but if you're holding off because of me, don't."
"I'm not, I truly don't care about college. I'm happy where I am and so long as I'm relaxed and healthy, I don't care about anything else. You're just a bonus."

Relax
Robin Buckley x Fem!reader
Genre - Fluff.
Warnings - Reader is anxious?
Summary - Robin calms reader down before they go on for their school play.
A/N - I feel like Robin would definitely be in the crew for the school productions, also I picked An Inspector Calls because I thought it was the most interesting play I had about in my room.
Word count - 537
Tumblr media
You were panicking - it was opening night for the school play and you we're playing a main character. You we're playing Sheila Birling in Hawkins High School's performance of An Inspector Calls. You'd gotten a main part because only seven people auditioned and only three of them were girls, the play had almost been cancelled had an English teacher not intervened with the perfect play, It hadn't left room for secondary characters so you wound up playing a lead. You knew your lines inside and out but there was a part of you nagging, telling yourself that you were going to mess up.
A part of you felt silly for the costume which was an evening gown from 1912 when the play was set, the costume was tight fitting and wasn't like the clothes you wore in your day to day. It was thirty minutes until the play started and you couldn't stop your hands from shaking and your breathing was uneven. There was a knock at the door, Robin Buckley entered. Robin was a techie for the play and had been the one to take most of the notes in rehearsals for the lighting and set.
"Hey, sorry, I just wanted to tell you it's twenty-five minutes until the five minute call. I just wanted to make sure that you're ready." Robin rushed to explain.
You looked at her confused. "Why are you apologising?"
She got flustered. "Well, you're getting ready and I interrupted you." You smiled at her and she calmed down.
"Honestly, I could use the distraction." You showed her your still shaking hands. "I'm kinda freaking out right now."
She walked over to you and sat on the chair beside you. "You don't need to worry, I've seen you rehearse this a hundred time. You're amazing, Y/N."
"Thanks, Robin but I don't know. I feel like something's gonna go wrong, like I'll knock over the decanter or I'm gonna sit down and miss the chair completely."
Robin laughed before she could stop herself. "I'm sorry, but I promise if you do anything embarrassing I'll turn all of the lights off as soon as possible. And besides I doubt you'll be the one to mess up, Marian still doesn't know her cues so I think you're in the clear."
"Thanks, I'll hold you to that promise though." You looked at your hand, they were still shaking. Robin clasped her hands around your own.
"Relax, thinking about all of the ways you could possibly mess up isn't going to help your nerves." You felt like she was talking to a puppy, she sounded so delicate and caring.
You nodded your head in agreement. "Okay, I can do this." She smiled brightly at your positivity. "Do you need to go check on the others?"
Robin checked back in to why she had come in here in the first place. "Oh my God, yes. I've gotta go but stay calm." She looked at the clock on the wall.
"Okay, will you meet me after we've finished, I'd like to hang out? If that's okay with you." You asked before she walked out of your dressing room, Robin turned around and nodded at you before she left.

Pairing: Nancy Wheeler x fem!reader Summary: It's a shitshow of a summer and Nancy Wheeler has the prettiest smile you have ever seen. A/N: So this is going to be a series, I'll update a masterlist as I post more parts! You are more than welcome to send in suggestions and ideas! ----
It was hard to pretend I didn’t hear the shuffling in the distance while trying to steady my breath. Beside me, Nancy was crouched down and holding on to her walkie-talkie with her left hand. She turned the device completely off and reached out for me with her free hand. I looked down at our intertwined hands and gave her a reassuring squeeze.
“Do you think it’s still there?” Nancy whispered.
I tried to peek around the corner of the house we were hiding behind. While I wasn’t able to see anything, I could still hear a low chittering sound. That sound alone could flip the strongest of stomachs. I could feel my heart begin to beat faster as I looked back at her. Using my free hand, I put my index finger over my mouth to tell her to be quiet. Nancy’s eyes grew wider and her grip on my hand tightened.
We had no weapons, no forms of safe communication, and no flashlights. We were sitting ducks in this hell-fashioned neighborhood of the Upside Down. I reached down onto the ground to feel around for anything I could toss to create a distraction. Nancy realized what I was doing and she pulled one of her hair barrettes out and handed it to me. Though it was small, it was also metal and would make just the right amount of noise needed to make our escape. I smiled at her, a silent, thank you, before standing to my feet and reeling back to toss the item.
Suddenly, there was a loud static noise that tore through the air! I dropped to my knees and covered my ears. Nancy looked at me frantically as she covered hers as well. The creature made a high-pitched whining sound as it bolted away from where we were. The static noise stopped abruptly and a small figure rounded the corner.
“You guys would be dead without me,” Erica said smugly. “Now let’s go before it comes back, that noise won’t deter them for long.”
“Thanks, Erica!” Nancy and I said together. We followed her through the vines of the Upside Down to where our bikes were thrown so we could get back to a gate.
“Where is everyone else?” Nancy asked, picking her bike up from the ground. She grimaced as slime fell off the handlebars with a loud slurping sound.
“Dustin, Robin, Eddie, and Steve are back at the gate waiting for us. Jonathan, Mike, Will, and El are heading back to the Creel house to look for more info on what we’re going up against.” Erica replied with a shrug.
“What about Lucas and Max?” I asked, pulling my bike up as well.
“Probably sucking face somewhere being gross.” Erica gagged dramatically. I let out a small laugh at that and we pushed off towards the gate, peddling fast and staying close together.
“One day you’ll be sucking face with someone and it won’t be so gross.” Nancy laughed.
“I’ve seen who you suck face with, it’s gross.” Erica shot back. I stifled the laughter that threatened to spill out as Nancy cut her eyes toward us.
—--
“Stop wiggling like that!” Steve shouted out as he held on to my right arm.
“I’m not wiggling, you’re just weak!” I shouted back reaching up (or was it down?) with my other arm to get a better grasp on him. Eddie helped Steve pull me out.
“The wiggling you felt was probably your arms about to give out.” Robin snorted. “Noodle arms, honestly.”
“Listen,” Steve started, putting one hand on his hip and the other in front of him in a “stop” motion. “I’ve been working out, so let’s maybe chill with the noodle arm nonsense.”
“So are you implying I was too heavy?” I crossed my arms and glared at him.
Dustin let out a loud laugh and turned to Steve in excitement. “How do you plan to answer?” Dustin giggled, “Be careful Steve, Y/N could definitely take you in a fight.”
Steve shook his head. “That’s not what I was saying at all. Can we please just,” he gestured to everyone in the room wildly, “leave?” Dustin’s face dropped as he realized there wouldn’t be a fight. He mumbled something that sounded a lot like “bullshit” under his breath.
Steve, Eddie, and Dustin started loading equipment into the trunk of Steve’s car while Nancy was fiddling with the walkie-talkie after turning it back on, trying to reach out to the other team. Robin, Erica, and I tasked ourselves with supervising the boys and eating some of the snacks we brought.
“Son of a bitch, you guys are no help,” Dustin said, lifting some homemade weapons to dump in the trunk.
Erica smirked at him, “I kept you dummies alive, you all owe me. I was thinking that money would be an appropriate gift. I’m not greedy, $50 sounds reasonable.”
“$50!” Robin exclaimed, choking on a skittle. “There’s no way in hell we have that kind of cash, especially after Rambo over here used most of our funds for a shotgun.” “A shotgun that will save our lives,” Nancy replied. She stood up from where she had been perched trying to reach the others. “I’m not able to get through to them, we must be just out of range. When was the last time anyone heard from them?”
No one said anything. We all just exchanged glances and shrugs.
“Right, well, what are we all standing here for? Let’s get our asses in gear and go find them.” Nancy demanded. When no one moved, she exclaimed, much louder, “NOW!”
Steve and Eddie bumped into each other and no one missed the blush on Eddie’s cheeks. I even caught Robin making a kissy face towards him, which in turn had Eddie flipping her back the bird.
“Someone is going to have to sit in someone else’s lap. We don’t have the room.” Steve said scratching the back of his head.
“That’s fine, I can sit in Y/N’s lap. I’m sure she won’t mind.” Nancy smiled at me, “Right?”
“Yeah, no, yeah, I mean yeah. Absolutely, that’s fine, that’s cool!” The words stumbled out of my mouth. Erica rolled her eyes, while Dustin, Eddie, and Robin smirked. Steve stared at us and then gestured to the car.
I climbed into the back seat next to Robin, who reached over to pat my lap for Nancy. I shoved Robin’s hand away and she gasped and held her arm as if I had hit her. Nancy climbed into the car carefully and situated herself on my lap. My heart began to race and I prayed she wouldn’t be able to tell. I shoved my hands under my legs, not quite sure what to do with them at that moment.
“Nancy, can you like, lean down, or back, or something? I can’t see through the rearview mirror.” Eddie asked, turning in his seat to stare at us.
A slight blush crept up on Nancy’s face as she turned to look at me, “Would you mind if I -”
“No, yeah, I mean that’s fine, I don’t mind, really.” I cut her off. I could hear Robin exhale through her nose loudly. Nancy began to lean toward me. I didn’t realize I was holding my breath until she asked me if I was okay. I caught Steve’s eye from the front seat as he watched us closely.
Steve and I weren’t extremely close, but it wasn’t hard to tell he was in love with Nancy. We met through Robin after they started working together at Scoops Ahoy. They had become extremely close that summer and Robin would not shut up about him at school the following semester. I was excited she had found another friend, but the feeling of being replaced never quite went away.
Robin and I have been best friends since Kindergarten. She stole my crayons and in return, I cut off one of her pigtails. My mother was not happy with that stunt, but Robin’s parents had laughed it off and said it was all a part of kids expressing themselves. It took some time but our parents had become close after that and play dates became a regular thing.
Growing up close, we learned a lot about each other, including our mutual attraction to women. There was an awkward time in our friendship when we had thought maybe we were the ones for each other, but it turned out that wasn’t the case. Thankfully our friendship recovered from the awkward date and kiss we had shared and now it’s an inside joke between the two of us.
Robin introduced me to Steve a week into the new school year. I had been away that summer, visiting with family in another state and when we returned, the mall had burned down. Robin swore she would tell me what happened, but I had to meet her new friends. So, Friday afternoon, I went to the Family Video store to hang out with Robin and meet Steve.
When I first walked into the store, there was no sign of anyone being in there. I glanced around at the row of movies on shelves, waiting for Robin to pop up from somewhere. There was a loud crash as a bunch of VHSs fell off a shelf a few rows over.
“Aw, come on!” I heard him shout.
“You should be more careful, dingus.” Robin’s voice sounded out. I walked over to where the commotion was happening. On the floor, picking up VHSs, was Steve. Robin was a few feet away setting up a cardboard cutout to promote a new release.
“Hi, welcome to Family Video, anything we can help you with?” Steve asked exasperated. He stood up and shoved the VHSs back on the shelf. I noticed that he looked me over, up and down, before a small smile appeared on his face. “I am completely at your disposal to find the right movie for you.”
“Chill out, dingus. This is my friend, Y/N.” Robin said coming over to hug me. “Dingus, Y/N, Y/N, Dingus” She laughed introducing us.
Steve rolled his eyes at her, his soft smile returning to his face when he glanced back at me. He reached out to shake my hand. “Hi, I’m Steve. Robin’s told me a lot about you, glad to finally meet you.” I shook his hand, noting the smoothness of his skin.
“You would have a better chance if you were Nancy Wheeler, big guy.” Robin laughed, clapping a hand on Steve’s back. Both of our heads whipped towards her, his with shock, mine with annoyance. “Oh yeah, she’s playing for our team.”
Steve looked back at me, then back to Robin. “Do you know any straight people?”
Robin raised an eyebrow at him and smiled maliciously. “Not. A. Single. One.”
“Are you sure this okay?” Nancy asked, pulling me out of the memory. She was sitting sideways on my lap, leaning into me, with her head on my shoulder. I nodded and instinctively, I put an arm around her to hold on to her then immediately pulled it back as if I had been burned. Nancy stilled for a moment, before grabbing my arm and placing it back around her.
“For safety,” she smiled up at me. Steve turned back around in the front seat and Robin gently elbowed me, she had a smirk on her face. I ignored both of them and focused on my beating heart, trying to regulate my breathing.
Dustin slammed his door and Eddie started the car. Heavy metal blasted at us over the speakers. Erica reached out and switched it off.
“Absolutely not.”
“This is the last time I let you drive my car.” Steve said, looking over Erica at Eddie.
Eddie didn’t seem phased at all as he turned the music back on and up, stuck his tongue out, and held up the rock-on-hand sign. The car lurched forward as he hit the gas, and we were speeding down the road, on our way to the others. ---- Part 2
