Bucky didn't know he could love someone more than you, but when he saw his son for the first time, he knew he would do anything for his baby boy.

Bucky loved being a first-time father, the not sleeping for a year didn't even matter to him when he got to wake up next to you.

"Doll look he smiled!" Bucky still after 2 years couldn't stop gushing over his sons little actions.

"Imma eat your toes! Imma eat them all. Nom nom." He says to his son and gently starts biting them, and Theo giggles and screams, making you laugh.

"NOOO. MA TOES MAMMAA!"

You come to help him, but instead, Bucky catches you and starts tickling you. After he's done torturing you and you're out of breath Bucky kisses you softly and then grabs Theo to put him to bed since it was getting late.

"Ouch."

"Is everything okay?" You yelled out from the living room hearing your husband.

"Theo you can't just bite people." Bucky picks up Theo in his arms and scolds him. Theo looks at his father confused, because why not?

"Don't."

Theo laughs and bites Buckys shoulder, hard.

"That hurts, baby. You can't bite that hard. Like this is okay when you're playing. Okay?" Bucky gently nibbles on Theo's slobbery fingers.

"Mmkay, dada." Theo nodds.

Your phone rings and you pick up immediately seeing its the number of Theo's day care

"Hello. Is this miss Barnes?"

"Yes that's me. Is Theo okay?"

"He's okay. But, Theo bit two kids today. We need you or your husband to come in."

"We'll be there."

You quickly call Bucky and pick him up from the studio.

"Oh god. Why is he biting kids. He never did that before? Are we bad parents. I think it's my fault." Bucky rants nervously.

"Babe, we're not bad parents, and we'll talk to him. See what he was thinking. It's okay " You put your hand over Buckys thigh. Who would've thought this huge scary looking man could be so soft.

"No it's my fault because I always bite him when we're playing. This is all my fault."

Bucky is sweating so much, he wasn't even this nervous when the band played their first sold out show.

"Thank you for coming."

The meeting doesn't last that long, and when you're out of the day care, you three sit in the car.

"Well, that wasn't that bad." You say and look at Buckys scrunched up face, the one he makes when he's thinking very hard.

"Theo honey do you have anything to say?"

"Sowwy mommy, sowwy daddy." He looks down shamefully, he didn't think he was bad he was just playing.

"It's okay. Just please don't bite other kids okay? That's bad. Promise?" Bucky holds out his pinky finger waiting for Theo to do the same.

And he does.

"Good boy. I love you so much." Theo is pulled into Buckys chest and showered with kisses. He has him wrapped around his tiny finger.

"Love you trouble." You plant a kiss on top of Theo's head and drive home.

couple of months later

"Mmh, so pretty, my pretty doll." Bucky kisses you and squeezes your ass , you've been making out for last 15 minutes and he's been teasing you for even longer.

"Please, Bucky!" you beg and you suck a hickey on Buckys neck.

"MOMMA NO THAT'S BAD!" Theo screams and Bucky drops you from his hold. The kid was supposed to be asleep.

You and Bucky look at each other, luckly you're both dressed.

"What are you doing up trouble?" Bucky picks up his son and tickles his belly.

"Are you kay daddy? Mommy always bite your neck! You say it bad! But why I can no bite but mommy can?"

Ooohhh.

Bucky smirks and realises that it was you who Theo picked up biting from.

"That's right. I'm going to have to put her in time out uh?" Theo nodds proudly.

"And you too little guy you're up past your bed time." Theo looks at Bucky his eyes wide open.

"No I sleep now." He goes completely limp and starts snoring.

Bucky rolls his eyes and goes to tuck him in.

"Mommy was bad I think she deserves a punishment?" Bucky teases you and you roll your eyes.

"He picked this biting stuff from you! You're the one that biting me all the time." It's not like he's wrong, you might like to bite Bucky but it's not your fault, he just looks delicious all the time!

"He did not." you cross your arms, pouting.

"No? Well, so it's not you who bites me when we cuddle, when I cook, when I'm talking on the phone, or playing the guitar?"

You're stubborn so you shake your head a no.

"Lying is bad, doll. Gotta punish you for that too." Bucky picks you up, throws you over your shoulder and then gives your ass a slap.

There's only one person who no longer bites people and it's not you.

So imagine Eddie as a sort of Rockstar Dad in a similar vein to Ozzy Osbourne, where he’s doing an interview or something and just casually had his and Reader’s baby on his lap and goes “let’s hope [Baby’s Name] doesn’t puke on me again!” And just Eddie being so soft with his kids and balancing work with his home life 🥹

he was in the interview chair with baby Rowan sat on his lap, chewing on her small fist as she looked around the large room. the last time she had been in an interview with him was four months ago, it was very rare that she was with Eddie whilst he was working but today you had to see your manager for a meeting about an upcoming runway show and he had insisted on taking her with him.

Corroded coffin had released a new album which had sold out in minutes, it was incredible how much fame the boys had gotten over the past few years. they had also announced a new tour after their album was released which meant Eddie and the rest of the boys had to do quite a lot of press. he loved being with Rowan, she was just so perfect and he hated being away from her so bringing her to this interview was a must for him.

she was such a character, her little personality just starting to shine through as she grew older and he loved it. the interviewer sat down opposite him, giving Rowan a little wave and a smile before she checked through her queue cards, making sure they were all correct and in order.

"let's hope she doesn't throw up on me this time" he joked to Gareth who was sat next to him who laughed and nodded his head. when she was with him last time she had thrown up all over him just before the interview ended and now that he looked back on it, it was hilarious, but at the time he was not pleased that he had sick all over him.

"i hope she does, it'll be so funny" Gareth looked at Rowan who had been cooing at nothing. Eddie adjusted her in his lap so she was sat sideways. she looked up at Eddie and smiled widely, fist still in her mouth but he could see her two small baby teeth popping through. he bent down, his hair falling all over her face making her giggle and scrunch up her face. he laughed and gave her a quick kiss on her forehead before sitting up straight and focusing on the interviewer.

"i see we've been joined by another rockstar" the interviewer joked and Eddie only laughed and nodded. "she is a rockstar, better than me and i've been one for years" Rowan cooed loudly and looked up at her dad, Eddie looked down and smiled at his baby girl. "i didn't realise how much she looks like y/n, from what i've seen she pulls a few faces and they look a bit like you but she just looks so much like her mum" 

"i think the only things she got from me was my eyes and hair, everything else is her mama. i mean i'm not complaining, she's beautiful. even some of the faces she pulls it’s like i’m looking right at y/n, i know it’s because y/n’s her mum but i didn’t expect Rowan to be exactly like her." both Gareth and the interviewer nodded agreeing with what Eddie had said. you were beautiful, considered one of the most beautiful women in then world and Eddie, a "freak" from a small town had not only been able to get on a date with you, but marry you and have a kid.

“what does y/n think of the new album? i know she’s quite invested in your work” Eddie adjusted Rowan on his lap and nodded agreeing. “she’s very invested, always helping out which i’m very grateful for, i think y/n has a good ear for music, she knows what sounds perfect that’s why the album is so good. i mean she doesn’t typically listen to rock music but she always says whatever we make she loves and i think this album is her favourite one so far”

“what do you think fans will love most about this album and what’s different about it compared to your other ones” this time Gareth answered leaving Eddie to focus on a babbling Rowan. “i think there’s a lot more thought in this album and a lot more meaning, not to say we weren’t focusing on the other ones but this one is just different, i think the band agrees that this is definitely our favourite album so far”

“your fans seem to think so as well, everyone has been raving about it. i’ve even listened to it myself and i’ve gotta say it’s incredible” both boys thanked her, it was nice to hear positive feedback from something they worked so hard on. “this isn’t related to the album but the two of you have families, are they going to come on the tour with you? i mean Eddie you’re a dad now will Rowan come watch one of your shows?” you and Eddie had been talking about this since the idea of a tour came about, you wanted to be there and let Rowan watch her dad on stage even though she was only seven months old it was Eddie’s dream for his family to be with him at his shows.

“it was a hard decision because she’s only seven months but it’s important to me for them to be there so we decided they’ll both come to a few shows here and there, Rowan can’t come to them all because-” Eddie was cut off by small coos and babbles coming from Rowan “dadadada” she said grabbing ahold of his hair and tugging it harshly.

“ouch honey, no pulling please” Eddie was still trying to get used to her pulling his hair, even though Eddie was 100% Rowan’s favourite parent (the little girl loved you so much it but it was obvious Eddie was the favourite) she still loved to hurt him, obviously she didn’t know what she was doing (or maybe she did) and her small hands pulled his hair in a way it burned his scalp.

“dadada” Rowan babbled which made his heart swell, even if she was inflicting pain on him he couldn’t get mad at the adorable little girl. the interviewer and Gareth laughed at Rowan and Eddie. he nodded and smiled, luckily he got his finger in between Rowans fingers and his hair. “i know sweetheart but no hair pulling for now please, daddy’s working” he unwrapped her hand from his hair.

his attention then went back onto the interviewer, Rowans hand was now wrapped around Eddie’s finger, chewing on it but Eddie didn’t care. it wasn’t hurting him and it was distracting her from his hair so it was a win win situation. “sorry about that, because obviously she’s still a baby and the music is very loud, she’d be wearing ear protection but it’s still quite loud so if she was at a show every night it would really affect her hearing”

the interviewer nodded and looked down at a distracted Rowan who was now more focused on looking at Eddie’s finger then chewing on it. “don’t apologise, i just have to say you’re a really good dad. Rowan is really well behaved” Eddie nodded and smiled “yeah she is”

a few days after the interview aired, the clips of Eddie being a dad went viral and Rowan was a hit, everyone loved her. newspapers which focused on celebrities and music had photos of Eddie and Rowan all over them and if Eddie was being completely honest the footage and pictures of baby Rowan were adorable and he would definitely be bringing Rowan to a lot more of his interviews.

you're not sure if other people do this but you and bucky made a bet to see who would freak out more when you went into labour. bucky said that he would be really chill because he isn't the one giving birth. he was convinced that he wouldn't be out of his mind, you thought completely opposite.

in order to prove you that he would be chill and not scared at all he had read every single thing he could find on labour pregnancy and parenting. you can't lie and say you have read as much not even half of that but you assumed everything would be fine - women do this all the time.

bucky really loved taking care of you, the cravings the foot massages and he didn't even mind the huge pregnancy pillow that took 90% of the bed. he always wanted to be a father and he was so happy.

bucky never missed the doctors appointment, like not a single one. He always had a notebook with him, as he is a songwriter so the notebook would have lyrics on one side and on the other recommended food for you or the vitamins or the dates of the next appointment- which you found very cute.

a week before your due date, bucky was losing it, he tried to not let it show but damn it was so hard - the amount of times he called your OB was borderline insane.

"honey I think you asked the OB every single question there is. are you calling her now again?"

you don't even know what was he worried about now - he's been worried for the last 9 months so.

"no i'm not calling her. i'm just checking if we need to do or prepare something for the hospital. you're really close to your due date we should be prepared you know doll."

"what more could we prepare for the hospital honey? I think the three bags of clothes for me and two bags for the baby and another two for dipers and towels and four pillows are perfectly fine. too much if you ask me."

bucky rolls his eyes, what if they need something and they don't have it? was it so bad to be extra prepared. and yes he did pack the bags two weeks ago - so what.

"can't be too prepared if you ask me. right baby boy, can't wait to meet you. you're not gonna let me sleep huh we will be best of friends. gonna have to let mommy rest she's been so brave and strong. you got best mom in the world, trust me."

bucky lays his head on your belly and talks to his son, you're going to miss this, but you can not wait for him to just get out it's been too long and you need to sleep on your stomach soon.

you don't expect it but two days later you wake up in pain, it's nothing you've felt before and you realise it's happening.

"shit bucky wake up." you shake your husband and he doesn't even stir.

"fuck. wake up your son decided to be early and we need to go to the hospital." bucky finally wakes up and looks at you standing and dressing yourself.

"what?"

"i'm in labor get up."

bucky jumps from the bed and gets tangled up in sheets so he falls head first.

"you're in labor now!? are you sure?" you give your husband a death glare.

"am I sure? of course, i'm sure i'm literally nine months pregnant and this shit fucking hurts so hurry up."

bucky doesn't even get dressed he just puts on a shirt and helps you walk to the car and he tries to open the car door but they won't open.

"it won't open!" bucky pulls on the door.

"bucky the car keys where are the car keys?"

"fuck the car keys!" realisation hits him that he didn't even bring the car keys so he runs back to the house not without quickly kissing you and telling you he'll be back in a second.

more than five minutes pass and you think you're about to deliver a baby in front of your house then you see bucky running out.

"I got them let's go." Bucky finally puts you into the car and drives.

"breathe baby, breathe. 1...2...3..." you tell bucky who literally forgot how to breathe and blink and you don't want him to pass out while driving.

"you breathe I should be telling you this! FUCK OFF!" bucky yells at the red light, he looks at you and then the red light and repeats that until its green again.

you're counting the time between contractions and they are getting closer and closer luckly the hospital is not far.

"my wife is in labor!" bucky screams as soon as he walks into the hospital.

" hun, please don't yell." you say as calmly as you can.

"ma'am please come with me." a nurse offers the wheelchair and wheels you to the room.

"sir are you okay?" the nurse asks when she hears heavy breathing coming from your husband - his breathing is louder than yours which makes you laugh.

bucky is holding your hand trying to calm down, it's really happening.

"hate you so much." you groan and tell bucky who has finally come to his senses.

bucky realised that he can't do this panic thing right now you need him so he pushes every bit of his worry and all his attention is on you.

"i know i know. you're doing so good doll."

bucky holds your hand wipes the sweat from your face, kisses your head softly.

"congratulations! a healthy baby boy!."

bucky is pulled away to cut the cord and the little baby boy is put on your chest for skin to skin contact.

the big blue eyes look at you and you're looking at him and then at bucky.

bucky starts crying.

"you did it. he's here. he's so beautiful i love him so much. and I love you thank you."

bucky kisses your forehead and then gently his sons.

"our little star. he's really here." buckys eyes are full of tears.

"uh just so we're on the same page I win the 500 bucks?"

"doll, you literally just birth another human being and you're thinking about a bet?"

"i won though!" bucky laughs because he's the one that won the greatest prize ever - you.

"darling, i'll give you double if you go rest now."

and you do, it's not like you care about the money that much you just like to win.
