Hello! This is Priory Irregular Operations [PIO] and we are open to new members!

We are an LGBTQ+ friendly, NA-based Roleplay Guild that has been running both casual- and story/plot-based RP for the past 7 years in an IC Priory workplace setting over Discord and In-Game! We meet for regularly scheduled events every Saturday (8pm ET) but offer plenty of RP opportunities the rest of the week!

Our guild features an easy-to-use & fully-customizable TTRPG Lite system for stats and skill checks, DM- and Player-led story arcs, and a fully-leveled and fleshed-out IC guild hall with places to RP and hang out!

In-Character, you can expect a focus on collaborative, weekly expeditions dedicated to investigating all manner of anomalies, be they magical, Mists-ological, murderous, or even the more mundane. For the grand majority of our stories, we aim to explore the weird and interesting, always determined to experience something new each season!

OH MY GODS.

Last night our dear Dwarven Paladin insulted our Arasai Warden when he referred to her and my Fae as just... fairies. Like they were all one race (they are very much not lol).

She challenged him to a duel and lost.

What did she do then?

She went to Raj'Dur Plateaus and started asking other end-game players asking if they'd fight for her as her "champion."

She got someone to duel him. And he crushed him.

I missed the in-game Art Party yesterday because of being sick! But I would really like to draw some charr. Obviously, no guarantee your character will be picked--depending on how much attention this post gets, I'll probably just pick a few! Thieves’ Guild 10: Bandit Gangs and Caravans (1984) is the last installment in the series. Alas! Let us stand and appreciate, for a moment, that the cover is by Mark E. Rogers of Samurai Cat fame. It is a nice cover. I feel like Rogers is underrated in general.

The bulk of the book is dedicated to what the title says. There are rules for creating caravans and, stocking them with enticing loot. The size of a caravan is too large for a player party to tackle alone, probably, so that’s where the bandit gang rules come in. I like all this stuff except the mass combat rules used to resolve the taking of a caravan. Those are a bit of a drag.

There is also one last scenario, and I quite like it. There is a merchant who owes money and the Thieves’ Guild intends to teach him a lesson by having the players break in and steal a notable ruby (and then the guild will ransom it back as interest on his late payment). The idea is for the thieves to break in, get the loot and leave without detection, so the Guild can surprise the merchant with the ransom, which is far easier said than done. The particulars of the mission are left to the players, but they get a lot to work with thanks to the way the scenario details the house, its inhabitants and the other locations of note in the neighborhood. Great stuff!

GW2 ROLEPLAYERS

So. I've had this idea reserved for some time, now I finally have the drive and time to pull it off.

Y'know how the GW2 world/public RP scene is kinda well, barely existent? I have an idea that may resurrect it in some way.

This will be for US servers!

HERE WE ARE! This is my WORLD RP RESURRECTION PROJECT!

The idea is to basically make whole cities or areas the " RP event" for quite a few hours, so it's a faux event with no set premise and is only really there to drag people to the area.

World sharding kinda broke random walk up RP for the most part, buuut what if there was some type of anchor point for a single shard?

I plan on being that anchor point, I'm going to select two days of the week and for about 5 hours a night/afternoon set up a squad for people to jump in and jump out of if they want, but at least everyone will be in the same shard. I will probably rotate through cities, meaning a different one each day, people can set up their own events or businesses for these days to make these places feel a lot more lived in, I would appreciate anyone reaching out to me if they are interested in doing such, a lot of coordination is going to help this kind of project in the long run. This will of course be headed by the efforts of a fairly small guild, any help will be extremely appreciated. We are currently deciding on what days this whole thing will be, might make a poll for it if people like this idea enough. Pop-Up Beach Party [NA] GW2 RP Event

Aching for a vacation? Boring week looming on the horizon? Have I got the cure for you! Dr. Grotto of Lion's Arch Adventures is hosting an open beach party on Monday, April 15th from 2pm to 5pm EDT.

To join, find us in the RP Squad LFG Tab under "LAA Beach Party" or type the command "/sqjoin Eevee.9107" into your chat panel. We'll be just north of Bloodcoast Ward Waypoint [&BA4EAAA=]

Rules:

Chill vibes only! Please keep all squabbling to a minimum and leave rivalries at the door. You're in no way obligated to interact with other attendees, so it's no biggie if you have someone privately blocked - just don't rope everyone else into it!

you will receive up to three warnings for violating the above rule before being removed from the event. Particularly egregious conduct may result in a ban from all future LAA events.

This is an RP event, but you're not required to participate in RP if you'd rather just watch!

Come and go as you please - there's no obligation to stay until the event ends, nor to arrive at 2pm sharp. (That said, I do appreciate people who arrive on time if able - it's very nerve wracking when there's only 1-2 other people for the first 10 minutes!)

Inspired by our Dwarven guild member, my guild now has a tavern complete with guild bartender set up in one of its rooms! I combined both Dwarven and Iksar cultures in here and I think it came out really neat. I gave him the honour of naming our nice lady Dwarf bartender, and she is Bowilynn. Hooray! Because I love RP flavour, I made a little rulebook for playing darts EQ2 style and have a dart board to the left of where Masako is standing here. We’ll see who wants to come play!

Me? Creating an incredibly niche roleplay guild? Noooo...

Introducing Prince Amethyn of Divinity's Reach, my character for said new roleplay guild that I completely absolutely totally did not just create. This Guild will focus on intrigue, politics, and of course, Vampirism! Open Court roles currently: Sheriff 0/1 Harpy 0/1 Scourge 0/1 Keepers of Elysium 0/3 (one for each bar in DR) Primogen 0/13 (one for each Clan!) Kindred 0/unlimited

This Guild runs on EU, and if interest is decent, I'll make a discord server to RP on as well.

Late in the lifespan of the Thieves’ Guild line, Gamelords began issuing books expanding the campaign setting. Tyrant’s Demesne (1983) focuses on the city dhar Ankhes, part of a somewhat Middle Eastern flavored region north of the main city of Haven.

It’s…fine. The count in charge is corrupt tyrant, kept in power thanks to willingness to allow his allies to profit from criminal enterprises. There are, of course, many people who would like to see the count overthrown. There is also a guild of wizardry in turmoil and an external rivalry with local tribesmen (detailed in the next book) to contend with as well.

All of the information is as well thought out and presented as other Gamelords products, and it is nice to have a Point B for all those merchants to travel to and from so player bandits can pilfer them. But I do think it is a shame that we got these books rather than the final volume detailing Haven before Gamelords passed into history.
