I’ve been suffering from major art block lately, so I decided to say fuck it to my shitty drawing style and have some fun for awhile. So why not draw some of my characters in different art styles?

I picked out some of my favorite artists here on Tumblr, hoping to do them justice but I ended up absolutely butchering them and desecrating their good names (especially @sleepyeule I am so sorry for this monstrosity T^T)

Ronan is based off of @amii-stuff, I’m absolutely in love with their style and their dhmis art. A huge inspiration to me.

Margo is based off of @curryswirl, big big fan of their art and coloring, especially for their sonic stuff. Their art is so good, my rendition is not lmao

Emmett is based off of @neverh00d, which their art style is so fucking cool and I could not do it well ;-; I’m sorry I let you down but it was still fun to draw (love your off art btw)

Axel is based off of @sleepyeule- and straight up I failed. Their art is so pretty and I just could not capture it. I’m sorry to have failed you so badly lmao but their ocs are a huge inspiration to me and I am so invested in their story. Huge huge fan

And finally Wen is based off @the-elf-draws, which I think I got the closest too? Still bad, but I’m pretty proud. I LOVe their art esp their mob psycho stuff- huge fan and so glad to have found them. Followed them instantly, their art is amazing

A redraw I did of a Pokémon AU I made because I’m predictable

Ronan’s a mechanic working with his father out of their garage. He wants to be the local gym leader for their area but he’s not good enough to win that title- and he’s super uncomfortable with bug type Pokémon so it wouldn’t have worked out anyway.

He got his Blissey when he was five, the people at their day care were giving away free Pokémon eggs since their owners didn’t want them. So his parents picked two up for him and his brother. His hatched into a Happiny, and like any creative five year old, he named her Happy. He changed it to Sásta as a teenager, which means Happy in Gaelic because it sounds cooler.

His Centiskorch he got at eight years old, when his brother hid her on his bed as a prank since he’s terrified of bugs. He didn’t like her at first, and cried whenever she got near him. But she instantly grew attached to him and wouldn’t leave him alone. He eventually came around to her when he realized she could keep him warm during the colder seasons. He named her Wiggles (he tried changing this later, but not even the name rater could get her to respond to a different name.)

His Murkrow he got during his high school years at age 15, since Wen had three Pokémon at the time he wanted another to round out his team. He went into the forest with Emmett and searched around until nightfall, when the Murkrow came out. It wasn’t a big fan of him at first, but came around after Ronan would preen it every day. It loves to get ready with him in the mornings and they take years in the bathroom. He named it Jet, a name he still finds cool and has no problems with.
