Any student should feel lucky to have the smartest men at the academy as their roommates. Being an undergraduate biochem student who had to work to pay her own tuition, going to lecture wasn’t always an option. That’s when you’d bake a tray of brownies or do some extra dishes and call in a favor from one of your roomies.

It happened all the time, which made you incredibly thankful to have one people-pleaser in the apartment. Jayce was always willing to put aside whatever he was doing and help you out on your Arcane Studies homework or your Bioengineering project. Last semester, finals week consisted of the two of you sitting criss-cross applesauce on the rug of the living room, paper scattered all over the floor as you tried to decipher the grading scale of your Organic Chemistry class to see what the lowest grade on the test you could get was and still wind up with a passing grade (something Jayce had done plenty of times in his undergrad years).

Viktor, on the other hand, had gotten somewhat tired of your constant requests for him to backtrack and dive into knowledge he hadn’t tapped for years now. He was never particularly rude about it, but you were very perceptive. When you asked him to repeat an explanation once or twice, you noticed the growing exhaustion on his face that bordered frustration and you stopped asking for his help going forward. It wasn’t to his own fault, you could be pretty needy sometimes, so more often than not, you just asked Jayce.

Only, Jayce was out of town for a Hextech press conference this weekend, the weekend before you had your Arcane Studies midterm. In a heartbreaking display, he had apologized profusely for not being able to help, inches away from getting on his knees and begging for forgiveness. You assured him none of that was necessary, and that you’d just stay up studying in the library or even reach out to your TA (who you’d never even spoken to before in class or outside of it, and who you were certain would be less helpful than Jayce).

To remedy your situation–even though you pinkie promised him you didn’t need him to–he took it upon himself to ask Viktor to help you cram study on Sunday night, the night before your midterm. While Jayce asked, you did your best to listen from your bedroom, the next room over. You heard some grumbling from Viktor and a muffled, yet compelling “She’s our roommate and she bakes us nice things” from Jayce.

Apparently that last bit must have been very rousing, because shortly after, Jayce was at your door telling you that Viktor agreed to a maximum of three hours of cramming that would begin no earlier than eight at night.

You worked for all of Saturday’s daylight hours, and then finalized your experimental serum for your Advanced Biochemistry project. For the biochem class, you’d been studying methods of enhancing senses for the first half of the quarter and your midterm project involved making a serum that could temporarily improve the performance of one human sense. Around three weeks ago, you and your classmates drew topics from a hat and your fingers emerged with “arousal” on a piece of paper. Needless to say, you were concerned. You thought the serum project would be fairly straightforward, and had already brainstormed ideas for vision enhancing serums or hearing aid serums, but arousal? You had to think out of the box for that one.

When you finished up your last touches to the serum, you were left with enough time at night to get ingredients to bake Viktor some muffins as a sign of your gratitude. You got enough stuff for twice as much as you would’ve made for Jayce and actually stuck to the recipe this time. Keeping Viktor happy was a very delicate ecosystem and there could be no tampering.

It wasn’t that he was a grump or even that he hated you, he was just too busy to want to help and too intelligent to want to backtrack. Once he had even looked at what you were studying and said, “I’d have to go too far back to help you.” That was inspiring.

You poured the contents of your tote bag on the counter.

On your better days, you and Viktor actually got along quite well. Those were the rare days when Viktor got more than three hours of sleep and ate a full meal before two pm. In his best conditions, the two of you were good friends.

The best days were when he and Jayce both come home early enough for you to make them a home cooked meal. Then you’d all curl up on the couch and watch a movie. The last time that happened, Jayce picked some superhero movie you’d never heard of and you and Viktor both fell asleep. You woke up the next morning asleep on Viktor’s chest with four blankets piled on top of you both. Jayce said he knew both of you ran cold, so he took the blankets from your beds. You and Viktor never talked about that night.

The exhaustion of your stressful Saturday had leaked into your studying Sunday, and in a tired stupor, you whisked together all the ingredients for the muffins and poured them haphazardly into the mold. They might not look pretty, but at least they’d taste good.

You pulled the freshly baked muffins from the oven and rested them on the stovetop. The sweet aroma of warm blueberry filled the apartment. It must have roused Viktor from whatever he was working on in his room, because he emerged a full quarter of an hour earlier than your agreed upon study time.

“Hey,” you said. “I made you some muffins as a thank you. They’re still hot, though, I wasn’t expecting you for another fifteen minutes.”

“That’s fine,” he said, setting himself at the kitchen table and sipping from a cup of coffee that had been there since Jayce was still in town. “Would you like to begin now?”

You grab all your study guides and homework assignments and your assortment of chicken scratch notes and slide them over to him on the table.

“Are your midterms cumulative?” He asked, finishing the remnants of his cold coffee.

“No,” you answered. Thank God. If you had to remember everything that was in the last midterm you’d be losing your mind right about now. “Everything past Arcane History will be on the test.”

“Mm. I see.”

He scans your notes for another five minutes.

“I’ll quiz you,” he decided, standing up to check on the temperature of the cooling muffins on the stovetop.

“Uh, okay.” You didn’t typically study by being quizzed, especially when you hardly went to lecture and didn’t even know most of the material. But you didn’t want to risk arguing with Viktor and have him decide to take his muffin to-go.

“Tell me why the Arcane can manifest in such unpredictable manners?”

“Because…” you started to think that maybe going to your TA wasn’t such a bad idea after all. Your TA was just a random graduate student. The roommate that was helping you study now was one of the inventors of Hextech, the researcher responsible for some of the greatest advancements in Piltover’s modern understanding of the Arcane. “...it reflects the intentions of the user.”

“Correct,” he says, affording you a rare Viktor smile. “Would you like a muffin?”

You had intended for the muffins to be entirely Viktor’s, but you hadn’t eaten all day and gods, they smelled good. Plus, it was like a reward for getting an answer right.

“Sure, thanks.”

You watch as Viktor plucks two muffins from the tin and comes back to seat himself at the table. He hands one to you and sorts through the papers you’ve scattered on the desk as he brings a small chunk to his mouth. You do the same.

Something tastes slightly off, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. It’s possible the ratio is off, and in your tired state you added too little vanilla extract or too much vegetable oil. Regardless, they’re not bad at all.

“Your notes are a little bit difficult to–” Viktor stops before finishing his sentence. He pulls out a sheet of paper from the pile and reads it, his eyes widening a bit as he does.

“What? What’s wrong?”

“These notes are from your biochem class,” he says, his eyes flickering up to meet yours for just a few seconds over the piece of paper. “This is an interesting assignment…”

“Oh,” you feel your cheeks growing hot. “Sorry, that’s not supposed to be in there.”

You reach out to take the paper from him, but he pulls it back as you do. He’s still reading it. You’d really like him to stop reading about your own aphrodisiac serum, but your embarrassment is a bit unwarranted. After all, you didn’t make the serum because you wanted it, you made it because it was a graded assignment. Nothing more. So what if you did eventually garner interest in the topic. So much interest, in fact, that you did extensive research into the properties your serum could afford and spent long hours in your lab experimenting with it. Shamefully, yes, you had tried some of it. Mainly to test its efficiency but also out of plain curiosity. You had determined that it was safe, most importantly, but you’d also learned that it tasted horrible. To counter that, you’d added some–

“Oh fuck!” You shout as you scoot your chair so far back so quickly that it topples over. You stumble over your bag on the floor as you sprint to the kitchen.

“Is something wrong?” Viktor asks from his seated position.

“Don’t eat the muffin!” You exclaim as you run to the counter space next to the stove, your heart pounding.

You confirm your worst fear. The bottle of vanilla extract you picked up from the supermarket sits on the counter, the protective seal still intact. Your arousal serum, however, is halfway empty a few inches beside the extract.

You turn around slowly to face Viktor.

“It’s a bit late for that,” Viktor says, holding up the half of his muffin that remains. “Did something happen?”

You eye your own muffin on the table, half eaten as well.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” you scrambled back toward the table where Viktor sat, the serum held tight by your hand. “You’re not allergic to anything, are you?”

“No,” Viktor says, eyeing you like you’re crazy.

Come on, just get it out already. You have to tell him, it would be morally bankrupt not to.

“I accidentally drugged you.”

Okay, maybe not like that.

Viktor just stared at you, his expression unchanged. You sort of just wished he would yell at you so that you could get the encounter over with, but no such luck. He just sat, unphased, until he picked up the notes he was looking at earlier.

“With this?” He asks. Even his voice is still even. You knew that if the roles had been reversed you would be fracking out, absolutely bouncing off the walls.

“Yes, but don’t worry I’ve done lots of research on this serum,” you say, taking the notes from Viktor and looking them over. You read the list two or three times, scanning for any sort of antidote for ingestion. You saw none. “How could I have not included an antidote?” You mutter, mentally beating yourself up.

“It’s okay,” Viktor said and you couldn’t even bring yourself to look up at him from your notes. “It is safe, yes? It won’t kill us?”

“No, it won’t, but it’s a powerful aphrodisiac and I added half the serum to those muffins. If my math is right, you’re taking three times the recommended dosage.”

“But I only ate half the muffin,” Viktor counters. Again, you’re shocked by how unphased he is.

“Okay, then one and a half times the dosage,” you shrug off his comment as you look for anything in your notes that might reveal a way to undo this mess.

“I assume this means you no longer wish to study?” Viktor says.

“How are you so calm about this?” You finally burst out, slamming the paper down on the table to look at him.

Big mistake.

Once you see him, you become lightheaded and your knees buckle beneath you. You have to sit down to stop yourself from falling over.

“Are you alright?” Viktor asks.

“I-I’m fine,” you shake your head in an attempt to get some blood flowing to your brain. No luck.

“Since you’re obviously worked up about this, why don’t you tell me how it works and then we can go from there.”

“It’s a fast acting stimulant,” you say, burying your face in your hands. “The chemistry is irrelevant since I have no goddamn cure for it, but it works the same as any other aphrodisiac. It makes you susceptible to arousal and heightens it by three times at a normal dosage, and in our case… nearly five times.”

“Intriguing,” he says, eyeing the muffin that lays neglected on the table. “Such a strange class project. Aren’t there moral quandaries to be had for such a substance?”

“Yes of course there are, which is why I made it so that it only takes effect if there’s already a degree of attraction in place–”

You shouldn’t have said anything. Especially not when you’re so clearly affected by it in the presence of Viktor. Way to sell yourself out.

“So you’re saying…”

You groan out in frustration, but once you look at Viktor you’re reminded of why you had your face buried in your hands. Somehow every feature of his seems five times more beautiful than you normally regarded them. His perfectly angular nose, his narrowed amber eyes, his messy hair which fell in ways you could never recreate on paper…

“I have a feeling you know exactly what I’m saying.” You squeezed your eyes shut. If you couldn’t see him, he couldn’t torture you.

Or so you thought.

A tantalizing graze of his hand on yours shot shivers down your spine. You pulled away so fast that a few of the papers on the desk shifted from the shear force of the wind.

“Don’t do that,” you seethed, sucked your teeth as you pressed your eyes shut so hard that you saw stars.

“Because…it affects you?” His voice was raspy and slow, or maybe that’s just what the serum was making you hear. Every bit of what he was doing seemed five times as attractive as it would normally be.

You’d done such a good job at hiding your feelings for Viktor for almost a year now. Being roommates with someone you found incredibly attractive was no easy task. And now all of your efforts were thrown out the window because of a stupid baking mishap.

“You’re being cruel,” you furrow your eyebrows as you speak, your voice coming out whinier than you would’ve liked.

“I’m sorry,” he stifles a laugh. “Would you open your eyes?”

“I can’t,” you groan, shoving your hands against your face again. “It’s best if I just go to my room and wait it out. Thank you for trying to study with me but I’m just gonna have to accept a shitty grade tomorrow.”

“You don’t have to do that,” he said, his fingers wrapping around your wrists and pulling them down from your face so that you had to look at him. “It’s been a long time since I’ve taken biochemistry, and I certainly haven’t studied aphrodisiacs, but the effects should go away after the serum is put to use, correct?”

You thought back to your experimentation phase. All the nights you spent alone in your lab trying out the efficacy of the serum resulted in the effects dissipating once climax was reached. It had certainly been the least orthodox experimentation phase you’d ever undergone.

“Yes, that’s correct,” you say reluctantly. It takes every ounce of strength you have not to let your eyes explore Viktor’s face, then his long, narrow neck protruding his sweater, his Adam’s apple bobbing with a deep breath, then the sharp clavicle poking from–

Get yourself together.

“If you’re willing to retake the class–a class you should easily pass, given your access to the two most prevalent scientists in the field–then by all means, go to your room.” Viktor pulls his hands away from you, then picks up the muffin, peeling off the paper from the bottom. He picks off a piece and drops it onto his tongue.

“What are you doing? You’re just going to make it worse!”

He smirks at you, then sets the muffin back down. “It’s a very good muffin. You’re an excellent baker.”

Fuck.

“You’re playing with me,” you shake your head in disbelief.

“No, dearest, I am not playing with you,” he says, standing up from his chair, then moving toward you tantalizingly slow. He takes a seat on the table in front of you, then crosses his hands on his lap. “You’re smart enough to recognize the alternative I am offering to you.”

Your heart stops. You look at his half eaten muffin, although more than half is gone now with the addition of that last bite.

“You…” The idea is almost impossible for you to grasp, let alone put into words. “You want to expedite the process?”

“That’s certainly one way of putting it,” Viktor laughs. He reaches for a strand of your distressed hair and pushes it behind your ear.

“But you’re not even attracted to me!”

“What makes you think that?” Viktor says, retracting his hand, only to place it over yours on the desk.

“Because if you were, you’d be much more affected right now. I mean, look at me!” You gesture to yourself with your free hand. “I’m a mess! I’m on the brink of breaking out in a sweat and my hands are clammy and you’re just sitting there!”

Viktor laughs to himself as if he’s in on some kind of inside joke that you know nothing about.

“I’ve had lots of practice in concealing my excitement around you,” he finally says, slowly, seductively, the words dripping from his chin as his cold eyes bore into you.

“What?”

You know what he said. In fact, you understand it perfectly, but you can’t be sure it actually came from his mouth because it seems so perfectly unreal. So dream-like, so idealistic, so fantastical.

“You’ve done a good enough job at hiding your attraction, too,” Viktor says. “I wouldn’t have known if it weren’t for tonight’s incident. Which is exactly why I’ve felt the need to hide my own.”

“You’ve liked me?”

You still can’t wrap your head around the idea.

“I’ve admired you,” he smiles, rubbing circles on the back of your hand, reminding you just how potent your little sex serum really is.

In fact, it’s so powerful that you hardly have to put any thought into leaping up from your chair and pushing your lips against his. Before you can third guess his affection, his hands are interlaced with your hair, pushing you deeper into his lips as his tongue begs to be let into your needy mouth.

Now it was clear to see how much the serum had actually affected him. In mere seconds, his hands grabbed at your thighs and pulled you up onto the table to straddle him with strength you didn’t even know he possessed. His breathy little moans sent you further into madness and you yanked his sweater off of his head, forcing your mouth off of his for just a few seconds, but once that sweater was off, your lips clung together like magnets.

Deft fingers unbuttoned your long sleeve shirt and he pulled it off your arms so quickly that you worried for a second that he might have ripped it. But you didn't care. You couldn’t possibly be concerned with a silly shirt when Viktor was beneath you on the kitchen table like a meal.

The serum didn’t exactly allow either of your minds to comprehend much foreplay. You fiddled with Viktor’s belt and he pushed your skirt up to your waist. Once both of you were exposed, he didn’t waste any time positioning you above his cock.

“So wet for me,” Viktor whined against your bare chest. “Is that the serum’s doing or is it mine?”

“Yours,” you whimper as Viktor slides his tip beneath your folds. “If it were anyone else in the room with me when I took the serum, I’d be unaffected.”

“I’m flattered,” he smiles cruelly as he thrusts up into you.

“Oh fuck,” you whine as your rest your heavy head on Viktor’s shoulder.

He brings his hands to your waist and guides you up and down as his hips meet your core in long, languid thrusts. The serum sets every single nerve on fire, making it seem as if each of his thrusts has the impact of twenty.

You moan muffled strangulations of his name into his neck, which only urges him to persist with his cruel thrusts. The sound of your cunt being abused fills the kitchen and you’re wildly thankful that Jayce is out of town.

“I’ve wanted this for so long,” Viktor pants. “You have no idea.”

You really did have no idea. He hid it so well. You silently thanked whatever force had caused you to accidentally throw the serum into the muffin mix.

“So have I,” you whined against his skin. “Fuck…don’t stop…”

Each thrust is punctuated by the creaks of the sturdy kitchen table below you. His motions become quicker, shakier, and more intense and you can tell he’s reaching the end along with you. Your legs begin to shake and you feel that familiar tickling sensation in your core that the serum does a beautiful job at emulating.

“Viktor, I’m close, I’m so fucking close,” you moan as you lift your head from the crook of his neck. You bring your lips to his and he delivers his final thrusts. As he fills you, your moans echo on each other’s lips, a feeling you never thought you’d experience with your own brilliant roommate.

Your breathing steadies and Viktor wraps his arms around you, bringing you close to him as he tries to collect himself as well.

“You…” Viktor pants, “are forbidden from using that kitchen ever again.”

You laugh as you bring yourself off of him, pressing a kiss to his lips as you collect yourself. “That sounds fair to me.”

Uh, hi!! I would, LOVE to see more of this lol. Even if you don't have time to actually write/draw for it, I will take literally anything. I cherish any drop of content like crumbs from those delicious sounding apology pastries. If you don't mind, I would specifically love a bit more on skizz & impulses first meeting, have they competed in any band wars? Do they have a lot a mutual friends? And they stupider here than tsots or do they have some common sense? Or just the Heart Fondation! Oh also! What about bdubs and etho? They have a lot of ties (ha. Get it? Ties) to those two! Itd be interesting to see if they have a place in this au.

BAND AUUUUUUUU

I have LOTS of thoughts on their first meeting--but you don't get to see that yet ;) I have a bunch of art drawn (ft. the most adorable Impulse ever) and all that's left is to write a little blorb of how it went down, which I'll probably do sometime tomorrow :D (I'm very very excited for this lol)

They do have mutual friends, since Skizz tends to know EVERYBODY, but Impulse is a bit of a recluse apart from when Gem and Scott make him get out of the house, so he hasn't met Skizz yet. Skizz happens to have never interacted directly with Gem or Scott either, but they've all heard of each other. As for mutual connections, Impulse does know Tango (who is part of Heart Foundation, obviously), and probably some others, but that's it for important connections I can come up with off the top of my head!

As for stupid levels, these guys are certified idiots, rest assured. However, this one isn't exactly a slow burn! I'd say more, but you'll see soon enough... >:)

Bdubs, I don't have any particular plans for. I'm still brainstorming a lot of the hermits n such. Etho knows everyone, tho (add him to mutual friends list ig), and in particular, the Roomies exist in this AU like they did in secret life, because I love them dearly <3 Other than that, he's a college student, studying tech of some sort, and lives with Cleo and Grian :) (and potentially Bdubs, if I get around to giving him a backstory. Honestly if you have ideas, feel free to share) He occasionally helps out with the sound tech for the Heart Foundation, but it's rare.

And thank you so much! I'm thrilled everyone's liking my silly lil band au thus far, I've kinda hyperfixated on it these past few days lmao. My wrist actually hurts from drawing so much rip, I need to get a proper stand for my tablet so I'm not hunched over the desk like a shrimp. But yeah! I have lots more art and quite a bit of writing I wanna do :D idk how far this'll go, since it's not meant to be serious or anything, but it's a fun experiment

Hi! I've been playing with an idea and was wondering how you go about making a transformers continuity?

It sounds like you've got the first part, which is some kind of idea to start from. You can build one however you want to be honest, depending on what you want to focus on or start with. But I'll walk through the process I've used by going through how I made some of mine.

1.) An idea/character focus/question.

For TF: Iconoclast my starting concept Roomie and I built from was him basically asking me:

What if the Quintessons were never overthrown?

For TF: Legendarium it was my own idea of:

What if magic/myths were a main focus of it and Prima was evil?

2.) I asked how that would change things and followed along in a "yes and..." manner. Or picked the main cast and then slowly connected them together. Brainstorm a list of ideas or moments or worldbuilding elements without censoring.

TF: Iconoclast was something that I built in my living room going back and forth with roomie. We popped ideas off of each other back and forth and figured out how it would fit in, by asking questions like: How would society be if the Cybertronians were never free? And going through "Darkest World" kind of scenarios and through characters we liked.

I keep a brainstorming document jotting down ideas, all of them, to start from later.

TF: Legendarium I didn't focus on the larger world so much as go back and forth between building the mythical groundwork for the universe by writing fairy tales and myths and focus on individual characters and how they exist. By building them I built the world.

Again started brainstorming ideas and just jotting anything down pretty freely.

3.) Start fine tuning ideas or making them firmer.

I firm them up to be a central idea/plot theme.

TF: Iconoclast was that the Transformers are rebelling against the Quintessons and freeing themselves.

TF: Legendarium was much more scattered and eventually focused on the themes of nature v. nature, choosing to be a compassionate person, free will, and identity. Every narrative part draws back to this.

4.) Build Characters OR Worldbuilding

Sometimes building the characters comes before the themes or you work on them at the same time. Developing the characters and how you want to handle them can help you figure out the themes you want to focus on.

As a recommendation you don’t have to do every character, just choose the ones that you like and want to talk about.   

Worldbuilding is one of the funner elements for me, so it was funner. I do recommend building your world thoroughly. Quick tips are building historical events that still affect things and the three layer rule. 

TF: Iconoclast for example the ancient past is the Quintessons taking over Cybertron during Rung’s time/Quintessa taking over, the modern past is Galvatron’s Rebellion, and the recent one is the Lithone People bringing the Quintessons to court for breaking laws protecting sapient life and starting the case for Transformers to be recognized as an independent species.

TF: Legendarium as an example: the ancient past is war of the thirteen, the modern past was Sentinel’s overthrowing of his father, and the recent past was Pickup’s Rebellion.

Start with three: one that happened in the distant past that changed society, one that happened in the modern times (think grandparents/parents time generation wise), and one that happened recently.

If you want to add an element to worldbuilding give it three layers. You set the world up so whatever you establish is the rules just maintain them throughout. Start with the main element then add one deeper reason behind it and then one more so it is built in.

Other Recommendations

It can also be helpful to talk to people to bounce ideas off of. 

For TF:Legendarium, I had a few Tumblr users who would ask about specific characters they really liked or scenarios that helped me develop them. 

For TF: Iconoclast, I and Roomie were building it together and would talk about it and I would bounce ideas off him.

Don’t be afraid to complete change things or do something new with characters. Throw your wild ideas out and have fun.

I’ve made Ratchet female in one story and married to Pharma. I’ve made Tarn a small toy model who is JazzProwl’s “child”. I’ve made Mirage the First Conjunx of Cybertron married to Sentinel Prime and the parent of Knock Out. I made the Alpha Trion evil and manipulating civilization to start a holy war.

There are certain pros to being his roomie, obviously, but HAVE YOU SEEN THE GUY’S ROOM? Nero does not own a kitchen; his whole room IS the kitchen. Each time after he cooks, the amount of water droplets from the steam would damp your bedsheets... soggy bed... Don’t get me started on the state of the shared bedroom when he decides to fry food. Furthermore, the head of the bed is facing directly in front of the fire stove. That is a fire hazard for your hair, sir. 

Pros: access to unlimited midnight snacks. Go steal yourself a few pastries off his shelf for supper; he won’t mind.

His roommate will always be the first person he shares his new recipes with, which comes with delicious taste tests too. Imagine laying down on the bed and brainstorming recipes with Nero from your original world, it melts my heart.

19th — Smelly Mithra

Mimi bought this place with the price of his pillows (or else he’d be last place). Look at his little moon, I will rob it from his grasp and never return it.

Oh, oh wait he has two... I AM TAKING BOTH.

Cons: holding his hand. I headcanon all wizards originated from the North, the inability to have sweaty hands, yet I think it’s uncomfortable. Sure, Mithra’s happy he got the convenience of amazing sleep everyday when you’re in the manor, I physically cannot think of a position where it is partially comfortable unless he’s hugging you or has you little spooned.

Incapable of doing chores, does he even know what cleaning up after himself means?

Oh and he doesn’t know how to use a napkin so I doubt he showers. Stinky uncle Mithra.

18th — Bradley

Do NOT wake up later than him, he WILL tickle you awake if given the mood. Like Shino, who has a rope beside his bed, this man just has an entire display of guns… Not as scary because it isn't right by his bed… I stand by my point. Throws his jacket wherever he wants, messy roommate (not as bad compared to Murr) in general. I cannot think of a single pro at the moment.

Does not own a bed but SLEEPS ON LEATHER(?) SOFAS??? Countless materials in the world, this is what he chose. Sages, we napping on the carpet for this one.

His love for taking in large amounts of tasty food at once is endearing, not much so when you start to take note of the dirty plates starting to pile up at the corner of your shared room. Habitually, Bradley will tidy it up when it gets overwhelming, you still feel disgusted once in a while.

17th — Faust

In spite of the dark atmosphere in his room, it feels more cosy rather than sinister to me… BEFORE THE SUN SETS. Curseworker or what not, no one should have more than two mirrors hanging in their bedroom’s walls. The only person you are cursing is yourself. Faust will be escorting the Sage (me) to the bathroom past 12am, no complaints allowed for someone who has his room looking like a ritual summoning circle. What if a monster emerges from the inside of the mirror and starts genociding? We take no chances.

Initially, Faust was incredibly against sharing his room with anyone. If not for the Sage’s request otherwise, you wouldn’t be here browsing through his street cats photo albums. So subtle, so slowly that you couldn’t pinpoint when the wise Wizard started bringing you along his trips to his garden.

Almost forgot to mention his feet stabber 3000 and sceptical tied red stringed straw star on the floor...

16th — Rustica

Leaves the door open, like just enough to not be closed or sometimes just wide open. Bugs you about his “hanayome” everyday and every chance. No, my paint palette is not your bride, leave it alone. During unpredictable hours, Rustica fancies hosting karaokes by himself; singing melodies from the bottom of his heart; hoping his "hanayome" will hear him and grace their appearance in the room. Which will most likely be this Nova person because who in this world can actually hear past the sound barrier...

Has the nicest smelling room out of all of the 21 Wizards. Man has plants growing from the cabinet, I bet his cutlery smells like herbs. When you use his utensils it makes dishes taste bitter due to that reason. I hate having bitter food so you’re getting a low ranking.

Having you as his roomie cut off Chloe a bunch of slack, you’re now in charge of buttoning up his clothes and tidying up his ribbons.

15th — Cain

The first thought that came into mind is how Cain periodically gets drunk and starts dancing naked and I don’t want to be chilling or half-asleep with the door slamming open for me to get flashed by a nude knight’s body… Other than that, flawless roomie, handsome lad, would blind your eyes at 8am every morning by opening the curtains then flashing you his sunny smile (hopefully with clothes on).

Potential Owen visits, Owen scary. 15th place it is.

14th — Shino

WHY DO YOU HAVE ROPE JUST LAYING NEXT TO YOUR BED??? IS IT FOR SOME EMERGENCY ESCAPE DOWN THE SECOND FLOOR WHEN ARSON HAPPENS OR?????? I do not feel safe sleeping in the same room as him. What if he tied me up and threw me out the window? NOPE.

Please store it away before I use it to tie you up and throw you out the window instead.

You’re both either arguing over Heathcliff-needs-or-not-to-be-kept-safe-in-my-pocket-related topics or in a mutual agreement of “tasty bread” “valid” “if I can cast spells I’ll name mine delicious blueberry cheese tarts” “great idea” “in Latin maybe” “yeah”. 

Makes every single house task competitive, who can throw out the trash the fastest, who has the tidier bed made (no wrinkles, no accidental folds, no drool marks). As long as a victory title is achievable, he will challenge you. The both of you have a tiny magnet board to keep track of every loss and wins.

Never fail to cook up something unique for you when Nero is away, his forest watcher survival skills shine through the way he freshly hunts the ingredients just to please you with a fresh meal. Totally not because he wants to be praised by the Sage to inflate his ego. 

13th — Shylock

Alcohol. Smells like alcohol and only alcohol. That sly bartender will cast you a spell if it does bother you though. Does not allow you to freely decorate your side of the room, everything you decide to put on your desk has to go through his ‘aesthetic approval’.

Charmed instantly when he puts his hair down before bed, no denials here. Shylock often, and, justifiably catch you admiring his face from seconds to minutes because of how beautiful he looks. And that my fellow Sages, is a pro. Sharing a room with a pretty man! Mwahs!

After showering, Shylock offers to blowdry your hair when he has time to spare. What was supposed to be a little blowdrying routine tends to always escalates to a whole self-care session with the abundance of products the wizard insists on using on your hair. At the end of each session, he would give you the best scalp massage, it usually helps you sleep better at night.

12th — Snow & White (They share a room in the game so I’m putting them together)

Very nice and spacious because they're tiny and they get stuck in a painting at night so the room is all to claim MWAHAHAHA- honestly though, their antics would keep the Sage entertained through boring days and will talk nonstop about their 2000 years worth of life story. One thing I worry about is White screaming at the top of his lungs when accidentally scared—I move around my house without any noises, I might get blood in my ears a lot due to that. 

Their self portrait on the wall is cute but chilling at night, there’s also no windows in their room?!

Ho... faceless Snow and White...

Be prepared for the old じじs to wake you up at odd hours into the night to tell you something completely irrelevant and grotesque: “White is dead as you know, don’t you like having a dead corpse pressed up against your body when you two hug?” Denies everything when you wake up, refuses to take responsibility for mental damage as if Owen hasn’t caused enough.

11th — Chloe

His room is so eerie at night, I would be scared. The walls are under-decorated and have an empty ambience in general. Would be the type to share a closet with you if you’re around the same size as him. If you're smaller, better. Except being terrified of him jumping at me at 3am, I think Chloe makes a cute roomie. 

Frequently returns with gifts that tickle his interests strolling downtown. 

Chloe illogically makes me think that he owns a pet rock and asks you to take care of her. Apparently, a lively human child gave it to him? One day the Westerner discovered the rock grew eyes—googly eyes; you thought it was hilarious and he decided to leave it on from then on.

10th — Murr

Type of roommate to whine for your attention whenever he gets bored, disturbing you from the Sage’s work. On cloudy days, Murr will convert the bedroom into a fort when given permission (or not, he doesn't care) to use your pillows and blanket as walls and roofs. To witness the ceiling turned into a galaxy with his magic; he squeezes beside you on the hammock and reaches out his hand at the illusion moon; hours of his wisdom steals away your sleep and the silence in the chaotic night.

Will start writing poetry of the moon at midnight and force you to listen to him vent about his profuse, lavish and longing of the beautiful moon. Gets zero sleep with him, always tinkering around gemstones late at night. Aren’t cats supposed to sleep through 80% of the day? Meow meow’s room looks super fun, there are many trinkets and magical artefacts laying around. Temporary forgiven. 

9th — Owen

Having him as a roommate is pretty nice in my opinion. Recalling how he enjoys chaos in the city, thus rarely seen in the manor is the highlight of his ranking. Majority of the time the room is all yours, if he’s around, simply endure a few teases and mental breakdowns. Other than that, yeah the room is yours. 

Seldomly asks you out for teatime, never fails to take you to taste the most delicious cream puffs in town. Intentionally forces you to stay up late at night with him so he can tell you all about his wonderful day of being Snow White.

When he comes back I will toss him out the window.

8th — Mitile

Please go to bed Mitile. Purposefully staying up after 12am after being influenced by Shino's superior nonsense. He is determined to prove to the Easterner that he is a 'big boy' too and doesn’t need a set bedtime and curfews now that he is the chosen Sage’s wizard. Will absolutely begs the Sage to keep talking to him to keep him awake even though he can barely keep his eyes open. I need sleep…

Afternoons with Mitile are similar to Rutile, he would act all mighty and knowledgeable whenever you inquired him regarding anything, I repeat, the smallest things in the world! Cheerfully hopping on the sofa with you, his slightly folded notebook on his lap and patiently explains to the Sage about what he has learnt from Dr. Figaro.

7th — Heathcliff

Bet his room smells like coffee and rain, that deserves a high ranking on itself. Very careful roommate, walks quietly when you’re already asleep and makes sure the door is closed at all times unlike some immoral swin-

Do you think he has like 5 heavy mechanical clocks in his room that goes “tick, tock, tick, tock, tick-” that are impossible to ignore? They never shut up, it is constant throughout the day, afternoon, evening, night—endlessly. I will go insane.

Look at his blueprints, I am certain there are clocks resting under his pillow because it's his wish charm.

6th — Riquet

Another desolated-looking room, please put up something more than the… pentagon drawn on papers (are those notes or something to do with his religion?). He definitely prays every night before bed and it makes me feel safe to be sleeping in the same room as him.

Under Bradley’s influence, Riquet learnt how to sneak into the (Nero’s) kitchen. Some mischievous nights, the two of you will blindly grab a few jars and packets of food from the pantry before carefully tip-toeing back to your rooms.

The rest of the night are experiments—cooking up distinguished dishes by mixing two random ingredients together and praying it doesn’t give unwanted stomach aches. When the colour turned out suspicious, Riquet and the Sage rock, paper, scissors to decide which one will be the ‘victim’ of their own Michelin star recipe.

5th — Figaro (hardest for me to write ;; i tried my best)

I would be scared of him doing something suspicious to the Sage—you had witnessed his room antics… he did swear to refrain from any funny business. Genuinely, Figaro is delighted that you chose to share a room with him. Will he feel less lonely to have someone an arm’s reach away at night…? 

Nosy roommate that hovers over your body whenever you’re occupied at the desk, similar to Murr but in a tamed way... as tamed as his patience can handle at least. Speaking of tame, you're again assigned with monitoring his drinking habits. Weekly routine of checking cabinets, beds and his unusually thicker coats.

One of these medicine bottles has to be replaced with alcohol.

Nags at you whenever he spots you have yet to make your bed in the morning, then does it himself. Victim of his endlessly cheesy flirts, needs your constant ratings and approvals as a facade for your attention.

4th — Rutile

I cannot find anything wrong with sharing a room with him, peaceful most of the time. Has a wall pinned with his proud drawings and I will boost his interest in drawing anytime I get. Gently wake you up in the morning, regularly have one-on-one study sessions to help you understand more about this unknown world.

 Not as bad as Cain assuming he will never start stripping while drunk, you’re still tasked with his well-being on festive days.

My little precious...

Enjoys leaving little cute sticky notes with reminders when he is assigned with missions far away from the manor: “I already did your laundry for the week ^^,” “do not skip your breakfast again >:(”. At the corner of each note, Rutile doodles on a chibi drawing of an animal (la cretura) when he has spare time and you get to guess what it actually is.

3rd — Oz

Hear me out, Oz has the loud dad snore that tortures you away from sleep- Ahem, he will put a partisan in the middle of the room separating the two of you alongside a noise barrier. No… he does enjoy your company, most of the time—fond of you even. I picture Oz as this guy who really treasures his personal space. Sharing a room with him grants you the same privacy he wishes. Perhaps after a few more small talks, he will consider removing the barrier.

Being the Sage is hard, a pledge forced upon fate. When things seem to get hard to keep up with your work, all your problems are magically solved. Papers neatly settled on your desk, a candy on top of the stack. “When Arthur was still young, he…” We all know how that goes. 

DON'T THINK YOU CAN BLOCK IT WITH YOUR BODY, OZ, I CAN SEE IT HERE.

Let’s not ignore the fireplace placement too, why is it right behind the bed again? Imagining all the dust from the charcoaled wood already makes me want to sneeze. 

2nd — Arthur

The Central Prince feels like the type of boy that’d be interested in storytelling at the end of the day, harmless chitchats about all the little happy things that had happened.

Brings back food from his professional, royal cooks sometimes and I’m here for that. On some nights, you find Arthur tossing and turning around his bed unable to fall asleep… you wonder why.

His justice and leader-like profile would not last long under your attentive hospitality; you were his ‘guest’ afterall, Arthur felt more guilty after you confronted him. Helping him find courage to open up his heart, letting all the dark thoughts eating up his self-worth inside brought your relationship with the prince closer than ever.

1st — Lennox

It’s bliss guys, you get to cuddle in a sea of fluffy white sheeps and a big guy protects you. Heaven. Please be my roommate. Cleanest room out of all of them, tidy and spotless. Voluntarily helps out with Sage’s paperworks countless times.

Although he might be awkward at first, I think after a few nights, you would comfort each other’s bad days and be each other’s listeners. Sleep so still you thought he died, when you poke him to make sure, his eyes shot open in an instant. Military men, man.

Slight choking hazard from sheep fur but we turn a blind eye to that hahaha…

Conclusion: everyone else is disqualified except Murr and Bradley because all of their beds are facing the door and that is not very fengshui.

• however, he wasn't going down without a fight, so he still paid you a drink and left you his number in case you wanted to chat

• at the time you simply rolled your eyes and finished the drink, but the next day, when you found his number tucked into your purse, you gave that cowboy a second thought

• after thinking to yourself for a couple of days you decided to give him a call

"you know, if you hadn't been too blunt I could've gone out with you that night"

• you confessed after a few minutes of call and he was nicer than you expected, you had to admit

• when he invited you out officially, you said yes, and much to your surprise, not only was he nice and sweet, but he was also such a gentleman

Storytime Guyssss!!!

So, many of you may be aware of the 12th-century Sanskrit poet Jaydev. He is the creator of Gita Govinda, a poetry book describing the lovely relationship between Krishna, Radha, and the gopis.

So, he wanted to write about this one instance where our Radha Rani got mad at Krishna because she found a hair strand of another gopi on Krishna's shoulder. However, Jaydev had a sort of writer's block and was unable to find the right words to describe the scene appropriately. So he decided to take a break and clear his mind.

He went to his wife who was in the kitchen and asked her to prepare his lunch while he bathed and brainstormed regarding the poem. The noble lady did so and sat waiting for her husband, thinking it was gonna take nearly an hour or so for him to get ready for lunch. However, Jaydev was back in just 10 mins. Seeing him come back so soon, his wife was surprised and enquired about the matter. Jaydev happily replied that he had gotten the words that he was looking for to finish his poem.

His wife asked if she should serve him lunch. Jaydev replied in affirmative and went on to complete his poem. After doing so, he came back and had his lunch. After he had finished, Jaydev told his wife that he was going to take another bath. The lady was confused, but she didn't question her husband and served her food on his plate and ate it. Basically, she used to have her husband's jhutha out of love and reverence.

Now, after about 10-15 minutes, Jaydev returned to the kitchen and asked his wife for some food as he was hungry. The lady was astonished. She asked her husband how he got hungry when he had had his lunch just 15 minutes ago. Jaydev was baffled and replied that he had finished bathing.

That was when the couple realised that it was Kanha himself who had come in Jaydev's disguise to help his bhakt complete his poem. And his wife had had the jhutha of none other than the Manmohan! Jaydev was both elated and lowkey jealous of his wife for her divine luck. And since that day till the day he died, Jaydev always had his wife's jhutha.

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction?

Originally, many moons ago, I was just helping a friend brainstorm fic and then translate it into English, but it made me realize I kinda wanted to write myself and at that time I was falling headfirst into Supernatural which is basically candyland as far as fanfic opportunities go. I lurked a lot at first and wrote just for myself, but eventually I started writing anonymously for prompts on the spn kinkmeme and then it just spiraled from there. And here we are 😅

🧃 ⇢ share some personal lore you never posted about before

Um. I started writing a fantasy story when I was fourteen? I didn't have a concrete plot, but I had a lot of images in my head, and I wrote several pages without knowing where it was going. I never finished it, because, you know, I didn't have a plot 😅 and it probably died with one of my previous computers, but that was my OG writing start. Though I do think my lack of writing knowledge and my inability to finish it made me think I couldn't write. And so it took years before I tried again and it was only through the push of fanfic.

Uhm. Currently it's not super rosy, so...

1. My roomies and I have fallen into a really comfortable cohabitation with weekly movie nights and it's just very lovely.

2. I've found a new way of easy lazy meal prep that's kind of healthy which is good because I'm a disaster at feeding myself.

3. I've been writing more again. It's mostly for the rwrb fandom, which was not what I planned on, but writing itself feels good, and I'm hoping it'll eventually spill over to my other WIPs 😅
