Ceritanya kemarin saya baru dapat kiriman, malu sih sebenarnya masih minta kiriman padahal sudah diterima beasiswa (yang sampai sekarang kok gak cair-cair). Biasanya, sehabis ambil uang pasti saya beli sesuatu, biar pecahan uangnya jadi kecil. Dan biasanya lagi, seringkali pas uang dikirim, ada saja barang yang habis stoknya di kos-an. Contohnya, margarin saya habis, jadi saya mau beli. Saya menimbang-nimbang untuk beli di kopma saja daripada indomaret, denger-denger lebih murah, jadi saya otw ke kopma sehabis kelas. Ternyata gak ada margarin di kopma! Okelah beli aja di indomaret, saya lirik display bagian roti, tapi saya sudah bertekad untuk beli margarin saja yang ternyata gak ada, akhirnya beli biskuit (karena walaupun enak, roti tersayang tetap tidak terjangkau). Then, saya otw indomaret. Tapi apa yang terjadi di indomaret? Ada diskon rotii.. Saya ada 5 menit berdiri di depan roti cuma buat mikir beli apa enggak (karena sudah beli biskuit tadi), saya menyerah dan beralih ke margarin aja. Pas mau ke kasir, tiba tiba saya kepikiran kalau diskon itu tidak setiap hari, mending beli aja daripada enggak, kan juga jarang-jarang beli roti. Akhirnya saya ambil roti juga. Finally, saya berakhir khilaf sekarang. Khilaf banget. Sering sekali kalau pas dapat kiriman saya malah foya-foya dengan beli roti yang habis dimakan dua hari padahal harganya bisa beli lauk buat semingguan. T.T

Rindu belum Usai II

Lanjut setelah puas dengan SLG, kami melanjutkan perjalanan ke Ploso. sebelum itu kami mencari tutup lensa terlebih dahulu, dan wowowowow harganya 85 ribu dong, astaghfirullah, akhirnya tak tutup pake plastik dan karet. haha. Perjalanan cinta pun menuju tingkat selanjutnya. Kediri kota- Mojo Ploso tidak jauh, 20 menit naik motor, sekitar 15km. Bagi saya yang sudah biasa wira- wiri kerumah mbah, jarak segitu dekat.

Sesampainya di Mojo Ploso, memasuki area pondok jantung berdebar, bulu kuduk berdiri, sudah jadi kebiasaan ketika memasuki area pondok saya tak henti merapal doa- doa agar kelak bisa nyantol sarungnya kyai. Paling nda besuamikan satri yang beliaunya saget nggandol kyai, kulo nggandol beliau, hihi aamiin.

Jujur saya baru pertama ini ke pondok ploso, seperti mimpi, bingah banget. Sesampainya di dekat pondok saya dihubungi mba azin (cek cerita pertama untuk tau). Saya sempat salah rumah, saya bertanya rumah dini, ternyata nama temannya mba azin adalah mba dina bukan dini hahahkocag. Untungnya rasa malu saya segera hilang ketika melihat beliau berdua sudah menungu saya di rumah yang nda jauh dari rumah tempat saya bertanya.

Mba Dina dan Mba Azin bekerja disebuah toko online khusus menjual mukena berkualitas tinggi dengan harga terjangkau, ada juga celak, led (tasbih digital), kitab- kitab pesanan dan juga tasbih manual. Mba dina dan mba azin bekerja sebagai admin, digajinya pun setiap jam, sangat lumayan. Mba Dina saat ini sedang menempuh S2nya sembari disambi kerja. (kuliah hari selasa dan kamis). Baik sekali, seperti kawan lama yang baru bertemu.

Ternyata mba si pemilik toko, mba alfi juga sedang menempuh pendidikan di pondok putri ploso. Kelas 2 Tsanawiyah, ya Ploso tak pernah menjadikan usia sebagai alasan tidak belajar. Duh jadi pingin punya sendiri dan pingin sami mondok kados mba alfi, hihi shalawati mawon.Kami mengobrol bersama di toko sembari mba dina dan mba azin bekerja, mulai dari membalas chat hingga stock opname, saya meminta ijin untuk mandi, sebab sudah satu hari belum terguyur air. Setelah bersih saya memilih istirahat agar bisa mengembalikan tenaga. Niatnya ingin segera sowan, tapi apalah daya hanya tamu jadi kudu manut sama empunya rumah. Saya yang kebetulan sedang udhur, setelah istirahat, sekitar jam 16;00 saya terbangun dan ternyata sudah ketinggalan rombongan, hehe mba zin dan mba din terpaksa mengantarkan kerudungnya karena pak pos belum juga datang.

Berhubung saya yang memang mudah akrab ngobrol (mendengarkan) bu ibu ngobrol jadilah sore hingga bada maghrib saya habiskan ngobrol bareng bu ina yang nda tau kenapa mau aja tak panggil bulek. Ilmi senang mendengarkan orang bercerita karena pasti ada nilai dibalik panjangnya cerita beliau. ya maklum beliau beliau para bu ibu hidupnya lebih dulu dari kita. Saking akrabnya, beliau apal setelah makan saya slalu “buang” hehe “seneng men to nduk nde wc, krasan berati iki, nda usah pulang wes ya kene ae, ngancani bulek” haduh hatiku terharu, tapi teriris karena teringat ibuk di rumah.

Selepas isya, bulek mengajak ku dan mba dina melihat festival hadrah, namun ternyata hanya untuk laki- laki, huft lagi- lagi daku iri. Tapi tak apa, jadi perempuan juga seru, saget sowan bu nyai hhuhu. Malam itu nda sengaja bertemu ning Salwa, MasyaAllah Cuantike kados rotii, hihi kinyis kinyis ala ning ning ploso

Berbagai macam makanan, pakaian, kebutuhan santri dijajakan. Kami menyusuri jalan sekitar pondok dari ujung ke ujung. MasyaAlloh bingah sanget. Sebenarnya di kencong, desaku, juga ada haul akbar seperti di Ploso, Haul Akbarnya mbah kyai Jauhari. wuh selalu padat. Tapi nda tau ini beda, nda nda bukan karena ada kang santri yang memang sudah lama saya kagumi,tapi suasana pondok yang masih punya mbah kyai banyaklah jadi alasan.

Degan,es coklat, dan kriuk yang terdiri dari kripik singkong, popcorn, rambak dan pilus sudah dalam satu kantong, kami pun kembali pulang. dan dan dan panggih mbah kyai huda teng mobil, cuma gitu aja sudah mbrebes bingah, ya Allah kulo nggandol sarunge sinten mangke. beruntunglah santri santri beliau.

Selepas pulang dari pondok, seperti biasa bulek bercerita tentang banyak hal, mulai dari seputar pondok ploso, sampai cerita tentang keluarga beliau, nda tau ndilalahnya ilmi sering jadi tempat curhat para ibuk ibuk, bahkan yang baru kenal. Mungkin jiwa ibu ibunya sudah tertanam dari kecil. jam 9 malam saya sudah tepar hehe maklum masih bocah, tidurnya semaunya

I read that Ambala has been in business for over 40 years? It’s a well-known Indian sweets shop in Little India. The shop interior definitely looked old with no attention paid to its appearance which I don’t mind. There were display cases fllled with Indian sweets, mostly unlabeled. The menu doesn’t have much explanation but I’m pretty sure that most of their customers are Indian.

They have chaat (snacks), parathas, dosas, combo meals, soda, lassi, chai, kulfi, falooda, shaved ice, etc. I ordered at the register and was surprised it took almost half an hour to get my order. They weren’t that busy. But, everything was packaged well and made it to my house without spilling.

Chai ($1): Small cup, unsweetened, light on spice but nice and milky

Aloo tikki chaat ($5.99): Two thick mashed potato patties that are fried and served with choley (garbanzo beans in sauce), chutney, chopped onions and pickles. The choley was pretty salty and quite oily. The patties were fine. There wasn’t much spice (hot spicy heat). Good, not great.

Saag: Cooked down to a soft mush, not too salty, nice gingery flavor

Makki di roti: Tasted burnt, harder and firmer than the usual rotii

Jalebi: Not a lot of flavor but crunchy, chewy and sweet

I believe it’s vegetarian – didn’t see any meat on the menu. It’s not the cleanest looking place and the customer service is slow.
