*points at username* of course i named it after a fiddle tune
It was originally a dip pen test, with a bit of gouache for the orange. I love how wobbly the lines are and how imperfect it turned out (●'◡'●) inking traditionally is so much more enjoyable than digitally.
Dang Splinter. Way to throw you arch-nemesis/fellow dad/it's complicated under the bus at the very last second. You know he totally did that on purpose just to annoy poor Draxum and fortify his top spot as best dad for all eternity.
Been holding off on posting this image for days to avoid spoiling people too early on. People have been asking for my opinion on the special and I have to say I absolutely loved it, but will probably wait a few more days to properly discuss.
We've already seen in canon that Donnie and change are at best a tumultuous combination; I think that'd get ramped up to like 1000 after Splints' passing
Originally it was just the first drawing with April but it felt wrong not to include all of his sons.
Ok now the actual thing I've been working on GOD
SO THE RISE COMIC RIGHT. Future Raph having these huge fucking spikes towering over his head implies they grow, but in the show two of them have flat edges. SO I WAS LIKE,,, DOES THAT MEAN HE FILES THEM DOWN??? DOES HE NOT LIKE HAVING ALL SHARP EDGES SO HE TRIES TO MAKE THEM FLAT AT ALL TIMES?? Is it bc he doesn't want to look scary?? Do they poke his brothers when they climb on his shell or throw their arms around him when they're sharp so he has them flattened to avoid hurting them??? Those are the ones where they'd be in the most contact with,,,
I then got silly with it and went hog. Animation. OUGH. Enjoy

I will admit, it's a little embarrassing since you can easily see the patterns of what I've been listening to for the past year or two. I swear I listen to more than just videogame OSTs, these songs just jive well with the story and I often find lyrics distracting when brainstorming scenes. Regardless, the music I listen to is such an important part of my creative process and some of these songs really defined the scenes I now have locked in my head. So I figured it was only fair to give them the credit they're due.
I will continue to add to this playlist, and will note in comic updates when one of these songs is applicable!
