RoudiseWeek belated Day 5: Inhaler/Breathless

(i remember Rudy having to use the inhaler every 2 hours so 3 hours is hardcore enough or no??)

Day 2 - Adventure for @roudiseshipweek

This is sort of concept art done in infinite painter? I guess. I was trying to cultivate a vibe.

Has anyone played the visual novel Our Life: Beginnings and Always? Anyway this was inspired by those kids sneaking out to investigate strange noises in the night because I think Louise would be into that and Rudy could be coaxed.

Or maybe this goes the Something Wicked This Way Comes route and the wharf has some strange happenings afoot. Just something is not quite right in the night and the children go investigate and if they are coming of aged changed for life hopefully it’s for the better.

roudise week - day 4: school/rudyville

teens! they're probably about 15/16 here. i think louise would have a pretty developed sense of style and self at this point but i think it would take rudy a bit longer @roudiseshipweek

PE is boring anyways. I imagine this would be the only class they’d skip together, neither one waiting to put up with running or playing by the teachers rules. ‘Rudyville’ would be their meeting place, and you can decide what they do together after that. 🩵🩵🩵

DAY 6: ALTERNATE UNIVERSE

DEMON SLAYER AU

@roudiseshipweek made a huge mistake in making AUs a prompt. They are about to get absolutely lore-dumped:

Rudy: Rudy has survived two separate demon attacks, both of which resulting in the deaths of his father and mother respectively. With the universe literally giving him no other option, he joins the demon slayer corps and reluctantly vows vengeance on all demons. However, his propensity to get sick at the drop of a hat caused many mentors to turn him away, believing it was impossible for him to gain proficiency in any breathing style. Having all the time in the world and absolutely nothing to lose, Rudy trains by himself and creates Storm Breathing, a combination of techniques from Water, Thunder, and Wind Breathing respectively. The creation of this breathing style is a bittersweet moment for Rudy; on one hand, the technical wizardry that was required to create such a breathing style earned him recognition from the likes of the Hashira. On the hand, Rudy is burdened with the knowledge that, due to his poor health, he will never be able to unlock the full potential of Storm Breathing, and even attempting to do so would likely kill him.

Louise: At age five, Louise and her village were attacked by demons. The village was destroyed, and Louise was left separated from her family, with both parties thinking the other to be dead. She would be taken in by the corps, training under Nat and her now ex-girlfriend. She was originally taught beast breathing, but similar to Rudy, decided to make her own breathing style: Rabbit Breathing. Louise is eager to enact revenge on demons, with said eagerness resulting in multiple avoidable injuries. She has two weapons: a bow equipped with wisteria-tipped arrows, and a comically large Nichirin hunting knife. That, combined with her affinity for wearing rabbit pelts, makes her quite the enigmatic character.

Her and Rudy are commonly paired together due to their ability to balance each other out.

I really like these designs, so expect to see them again.

Roudise Week Day One: Family/Hat

I had this idea that after the events of The Amazing Rudy, Louise would really enjoy accompanying Rudy to more of his family dinners/events to make it less awkward (because she's a good friend :3). And Rudy would want to give her a new sticker for her hat for one particular dinner, which makes her very happy.

“Truth or dare?”

“Truth!”

“Oh. That’s tough. Give me a second to think,” Rudy paused and attempted to think of a question that Louise wouldn’t have already told him the answer to. “Why do you wear your bunny ears when you’re sleeping?”

“Why wouldn’t I wear them?” Louise replied defensively.

“I don’t know... I mean, uh, I don’t go to sleep wearing anything from my hat collection. That sounds like it would be really uncomfortable.”

Louise looked down at Rudy's bedroom floor and seemed to be embarrassed by Rudy’s question, which was absolutely not what he had intended when asking her that question. He was curious why Louise would choose to wear her bunny ears even while she was sleeping—but he didn’t think that it was weird or embarrassing that she did. He couldn’t imagine his best friend without them.

Rudy spoke up again in an awkward attempt to try to relate himself to Louise and understand her better. “Is it like how I sleep with Pancake every night?”

“Nah. That’s more like Kuchi Kopi,” Louise smiled and looked over to where Pancake and Kuchi Kopi were sitting beside each other on Rudy’s bed. Rudy always liked to think that their favorite toys would be friends, but Louise said she wasn’t convinced that Kuchi Kopi would want to be friends with a talking fish. They would have to get to know each other better before she would consider them friends. “It’s like... uh, like when you wake up from a nightmare, but you’re not scared because you know that your dad is awake in the living room watching his boring old-person TV show, and he’ll be there to comfort you. And he’ll protect you.”

Rudy nodded like he understood what Louise was saying even if he wasn’t entirely convinced that he did. “Yeah. That makes sense.”

Roudise Week Day 4 - School/ Rudyville for @roudiseshipweek

Rudy and Louise holding hands in Rudyville. My biggest criticism of Bob’s Burgers is that we don’t see the kids sitting on the floor more at school. Have you ever been to an elementary school? Kids are crisscross applesauce all over the place.

I already made a locker background for that Genecadero piece a while back but it wasn’t full length so ignore the seams. I flipped the layer to add bottoms to the lockers but it wouldn’t line up right. There are some other recycled parts in this. Those are Harley’s hands from the Christmas sweater art and Rudy is based on the same sketch as one of the Rudys from yesterday.

DAY 1 - Family/Hat

Okay, if they did have a family, their child would definitely get to wear Louise’s old hat. This was just an excuse to draw aged up Roudise. And yes Louise’s shirt says Federal Boob Inspector. I believe she’d get a bit teary eyed seeing her kid in such a sentimental object from her childhood. Rudy knew what he was doing, he totally planned this.
