It's almost here 🐍 Those who follow me on Twt may already know that I have been developing NO ONE, a small introductory RPG Maker game focused on naga!batter, one of my AUs of the batter.

CURSE was originally supposed to be a sole game focused on him, but I got too many ideas, the project started to get too big and I burned myself out. What I did was chop CURSE into pieces, smaller bite-sized games that I hopefully can actually manage to complete. So CURSE is now the name of the whole series, and NO ONE can be considered a prologue.

After playtesters feedback, I'm going to apply the suggested changes and release it on Itch.io. Should be up during this week.

this shit got me learning how to CODE (removing the magic stat, reordering the stats, & displaying stats on 1 row... tho i haven't figured out how to slide the stats over to the right more) THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE MY FATE

I mean this of course is a great thing :]. I'm proud of myself for picking up on when to use certain things like function () { without it feeling like complete like trial & error.

I just didn't walk into this project thinking I'd be coding.

oh my fucking god. i randomly hit the right combination of keywords to find a very recent plugin that preserves the map scene when the menu is opened. that's literally all i needed this whole time. it seems to work perfectly? i can open any menu and it preserves all VN dialogue. i can progress to a new page, i can save, i can load back in, i can save on a choice and load back in, i can finish the event and (as long as i remember to exit event processing so the framerate doesn’t tank) walk around, i can transition to a new map, i can get into a battle, i can exit battles, i can do all of this on a new game or loaded game, the dev console never spits out a single error. it cannot be this easy. something has to go horribly wrong. i could have saved over a week's worth of pain if i'd caught this sooner. are you fucking kidding me.
