ghostflower headcanon: gwen is obviously fond of physical affection, so i like to think she's super cuddly with people she trusts. like, i think of her as the person equivalent of a lap cat. miles will be trying to work on something but if he stays still long enough she will just lay on top of him and refuse to move.

i think where we get takes like "kyon is normal (even if only in comparison to the rest of the brigade)" is that it comes in part from how, if you take him at face value, he purposefully presents himself that way; but if you're reading between the lines of the text it's clear that he's exactly as much of a freak as the rest of them, if not even more so

like just from an objective standpoint, the writing is bad. the pacing is bad. the character development is nonexistent. the character conflicts from the books are either nonexistent or glossed over. i do not believe that any of these characters even like each other At All and you expect me to care about their relationships to one another? i simply do not. they barely even get to be characters. they're just vessels for exposition

it feels, mostly, like the show wants to go "hey. hey, look at this thing, remember liking this thing?" but does absolutely nothing to make me care about the thing.

also the changes are almost all either entirely pointless or actively make the story worse. i'm blaming this on the writer's strike but i'm still fucking fascinated by it
