tim always asks kon about the stars. not cassie who would know many of their myths, but kon. He drags him out onto the roof of the tower and asks him what its like to touch the stars. and kon, well he had never touched a star but he could laugh and tell his robin about the joys of flying higher than any plane could. he would crack a few jokes about the robin all things asking him what it's like to take off into the skies. tim always looked at him with this look, even with all their years of knowing each other, he could never describe. one day tim had admitted he was worried that kon would leave them for the stars that twinkled above them in a place tim could not reach. kon had simply laughed again and told him that even if he did leave, he would always come back. (he did not promise, because he was made to be a hero and well hero's don't always come back)

thinking thoughts about the core four cooking together after a rough mission

kon is doing most of it because the others are disasters and he's the best cook, he was taught by Ma who is arguably the best cook any of them know, he also enjoys it more than the rest of them do

Tim is in charge of chopping things and absolutely not aloud to touch the seasonings or anything flavored wise, he will add the weirdest things claiming they make it 'better'

Cassie is in charge of dessert so she's in her little corner making cookies. she's also got the playlist going and is in a passionate debate with all of them about the correct things to put in cookie batter

Bart's, who can very much cook but hates it, is coming and going, stealing food and handing people things, he's egging on tim's arguments to add increasingly strange things to the meal

by the end they have a tasty meal that is edible to most of humanity, despite tim's best efforts. Cassie's chocolate chip cookies turn out lovely, but somehow sprinkles ended up in them and none of them are quite sure how. they continue to rebinge all of their favourite comfort shows

crying over the concept that Cissie, Anita, and Greta will likely have to bury all of the core four. They've buried kon and bart already, then Tim, and none of them could ever bring themselves to say it but they all hug cassie a little longer than they should, somehow they know she'll be next and they don't know if they'll get lucky again. Cassie has always been the exception, of course she would be the exception here and not come back. Because Cassie has always been otherworldly and once she looses her tether to earth they know she'll be off to conquer the stars and fight monsters in whatever happens after death.

Do you think Tim and Cass spend hours in the cave running through various scenario's of faking each other deaths? Like in Robin & Batgirl: Fresh blood they have fake fighting to the death where Tim 'kills Cass' and they both freaked out a bit because it was hard to try and figure out how to fake kill one of them, so I can totally see them practicing how to fake each other's deaths. They call it training but it very quickly turns into a game between them. At first it very much freaked their family out but they got used to it... kinda.

Bart: yeah, and you know how Cassie is part Greek God?

Cassie: do I want to know where this is going?

Bart: do you think if we started giving her offerings and worshipping her she'd turn into a full Goddess?

Kon: don't know till we try! OH GODDESS! Accept my offering *throws gummies at Cassie*

Cassie: *smiling with a pack of gummies* you joke but I'm keeping these.

Tim: *not looking up from his phone* oh Goddess Cassie, please let us have a peaceful day.

Cissie: *walking into the room* ?

Kon: we're worshiping Cassie to see if we can make her a Goddess.

Cissie: oh ok, merciful and beautiful Goddess-

Cassie: *laughing*

Cissie: -please grant me knowledge on my next exam because SOMEONE *glares at all of them* keeps pulling me into Young Justice mission's and I haven't studied *drops down in a chair and tosses her a bracelet* my offering.

The more I read canon Cass the more fanon Cass becomes unreadable to me, especially her fanon interactions with Bruce

So many fanfics have him coddling her and treating her as his ‘precious baby’, someone who has gone through unspeakable trauma and that he wants to protect as a result

That is the exact opposite of canon - Bruce sees so much of himself in her that he replicates his own toxic coping mechanisms through her. And it works! She responds to his relentless training exercises, his black-and-white morality, the prioritisation of The Mission above all else. He understands she needs to focus herself towards a higher purpose or else she’ll drown in her own guilt, because he is exactly the same

Bruce doesn’t treat Cass gently because he wouldn’t want to be treated gently, and his own personal brand of toxic training is his idea of care

It's tech week so here's my opinions on YJ and where they are in theater

Cass swooping in and saving Tim's dumb ass and just kinda sighing cause yeah he's a dumbass but that's her dumbass little brother

if Cassie wore goggles to battle again not only do they look cool but if she saved a small child and let them wear the goggles,

not only would they keep their eyes protected as she flies away from whatever she’s protecting them from but it could help them feel brave like a superhero because they’re wearing wonder girls goggles

Proposal that Cassie's adult superhero name should be Aegis. Cassie is like so protective of her friends and the point of being a superhero is to protect the world and Aegis is one of the most famous shields in Greek mythology. Which typically is described as having Medusa on it, and many people used Medusa's head as ward of protection. And Medusa was described as a beautiful young woman before she was turned into a monster, which could have implications of some fun identity crisis' and Cassie's self perception (her going from traditionally fem and 'pretty' to her true butch self and how the media would portray that). Also!! Aegis was typically carried by Zeus so it's a fun nod to the man who gave her powers.

Gotham Gala's are notorious gossip centers and Bruce Wayne and his hoard of children are popular targets. So when one of them disappears abroad for about six months only to come back out of nowhere, engaged, AND running the family company they just knew there was some good gossip.

But as soon as they got close enough to learn anything they learnt that little timmy drake grew up to be his mothers son.

He has Janet's look of 'I know more than you and I will ruin you if you piss me off'. Its still as unsettling as ever. But that's not too much of a surprise, everyone always knew he was more Janet than jack.

What was a surprise is how quickly Timothy built a reputation in the business world. He quickly proved just because he is young that doesn't mean you can underestimate him. He could find out secrets that they had managed to hide from his mother, and he obviously learnt his blackmail skills from Janet.

Soon Timothy was called Timothy Drake again in those circles more than they would ever called him Tim Wayne
