It's my 32nd birthday today. Ten years ago my birthday wish was to get published at a big traditional publisher in Hungary. A year later, my dreams came true. How stupid I was to believe that I finally made it, how naive to not even think that the creative journey is a never-ending battle with outside forces and with yourself.

Seven years ago I wasn't even sure that I'd ever be able to get back to writing - I felt that I lost it forever. I was out of ideas, I was panicking. I distinctly remember two days of wandering around Budapest, without any destination or purpose, in tears, contemplating, well… very dark thoughts, let's just say. A couple of months after that I came up with the idea of Bolyongó (Wanderer), a book that got chosen as the best young adult novel by the Hungarian IBBY student jury in 2019.

Two years ago, just barely out of the pandemic lockdown depression and into the depression caused by the Russia-Ukraine war, I came up with the idea of Rúnatánc (Runadance), a book I wrote out of anger and grief and the book I'm most proud of.

This year I have amazingly daring dreams and wishes, courtesy of the motivation and inspiration I've been getting ever since Good Omens Season 2 happened. I completely fell in love with David Tennant's energy and work ethic. I love this fandom. And I love Neil Gaiman so much.

Good things are coming, I can feel it.

Never mistake my not being online 24/7 posting for any kind of lack of action! I very simply have my priorities & although I love to be online communicating with you all, what comes 1st is living my REAL life on REAL time which includes my fitness 💪🏻! 😉 . I’m currently down 15 lbs on my way to turning 50 on October 20 (which is 54 days away now!) even as I’m not back to running / working out with my club just yet. I will be with them again next month but, right now, it’s all me at home & the gym doing my thing, loving my commitment all the same. It’s just so good to take care of your body so that you can use it well as you travel on through this life! It’s an amazing blessing - your body, your health! Please, DO NOT take these for granted! 🙏🏻✨ . I hope you’re doing YOUR thing, too! You better be! Life is short, baby!!! You’ve gotta appreciate having it & each day that’s bestowed upon you. You couldn’t be more blessed than that! Everything else you get, achieve, create is just gravy! Another Saturday 6 miles long run 🏃🏻‍♀️ in the books. Sometimes when I wake up and know I’m headed straight to working out, my mind is like “I don’t really wanna” but then I remember how I’ll feel when I finish and how the group is there ALL IN and I can’t get there fast enough. . Had so much fun today even as I struggled with my mindset and endurance. That’s when you know it’s good… when you can appreciate the mind games and push through them! . Gotta love the push-ups *after* the long run too! 😂 Coach Elliott sure knows how to get the best out of us. And some people did 8 miles, some 10… some maybe even 12! as that’s where they’re at in their training. Everyone so equally cool! .
