If you could take one of your AUs and do a crossover with any other AU by another creator
What AU would you like it to be?
Hear me out: my Runaway AU Y/N with @opudont-donut’s Nightmare boys
Instead of Y/N seeking asylum from bakers, they seek it in an abandoned mansion where two malignant nightmares reside and haunt. the rest goes from there 👁️👁️

Just a tiny bit 'bout Doctor Who: The Runaway Bride
Donna's dad is still alive??? I thought she only had her mom and gramps🤔
Lance is definitely not my favourite character.
10th and Donna are such an iconic duo, I miss them dearly.
The idea of having a ton of spiders in the center of the Earth is 🤢.
I forgot how pretty David Tennant is when I got to 11th. Just look at him. So beautiful. The smile gets me every time.

Another drama for the runaway bride? Maybe Eros really comes over and tries to get Thena back? And it comes to the point where Gil has to intervene 😃
Gil cracked the reins on the horse again, forcing the poor creature onward. But he knew where he needed to go, and he needed to get there before Eros did. "Come on!"
The horse voiced its concern but sped through the trees and towards the higher roads. He was heading in almost the opposite direction really. But the road for horses spiralled down the mountain. He needed to get to the steepest part, where he could cut him off.
He had Thena.
Gil had been out on his usual day. He was meeting his quotas. He had actually been staying out a little longer than necessary. Everyday, after he had fulfilled the work he needed to do for payment, he would find some good trees and work on getting boards and beams from them.
He wanted to expand the cabin. He wanted it to feel like a home for Thena as much as him. And while she was quite at home, he wanted to make more of a house than his open bodied bachelor hut. He would add onto the cabin's end and make a real, proper bedchamber for them. Maybe he could even add a bath room, if the winter was late this year.
He was just heading home when he heard it--the sound of hooves. He had taken off in a sprint towards home. He didn't hear the loud rattling of a carriage on the road, and there wasn't a whole infantry this time either. But the running of a horse was unmistakable.
When he did get home, he had found the door open, Thena's berry basket on the porch and its contents spilled everywhere, as if she had been dragged away by the ankles. The tracks of the horse were fresh. He knew what he had to do. Her captor being on horse was a good thing. No one could navigate the woods well enough to run a creature through it. He had moved around the side of the house. The guard sent with the prince - and to apprehend Gil, no doubt - was waiting in the garden for him.
Gil didn't like violence. He was a peaceful man. But he picked up the shovel and struck the man with such force that the metal against his helmet sounded like canon fire. The man went down and Gil had taken his horse without a second thought.
He was no rider, but he knew what he had to do.
Now, he was barrelling towards a cliffside, waiting for their paths to align. He had to time it right. And he couldn't risk Thena getting seriously hurt in the process. His timing had to be perfect.
As he began to see the road laid out below, curving along with the shape of the mountain, he heard it. He craned his head backwards. A horse was speeding down the road, right in the middle of it. The prince was riding with one hand on his reins and another over his shoulder.
Thena was slung over it, bound like a wild boar he had captured (disgraceful treatment of a lady).
Either he couldn't hear her over the two horses unknowingly racing each other, or she was gagged as well as bound. For a prince, he had truly treated Thena the way a barbarian would.
Gil pulled back on his reins, only slightly. He had to get this right. He patted the horse's neck, muttering his apologies to it. Poor thing didn't deserve what was about to happen. But it was for a good cause.
Eros rounded the bend swiftly, Thena in hand. Of course, with such a sharp curve, and at the speed he was travelling, he had to take it as widely as possible. Gil watched until he was at the thinnest part of the road, closest to the edge.
He cracked the reins.
The horse brayed, screaming as it leapt over the edge of the elevation and plummeted over the edge, legs flailing. Gil reached out, plowing into the prince from behind and wrapping his arms around Thena. It was chaos, everything hurt and his eyes were barely open. But he wrapped his arms around her and kept rolling.
The two horses lay in the road, crying out in distress and probably pain. Gil dragged him and Thena both off the edge and below the road. Somehow, they managed to slither into the trunk of a tree. It was a very familiar tree, with a base large and hollow enough for someone to use as shelter. It was tight with both of them.
"Thena?!"
Gil held her head against his shoulder as Eros wailed for her. He had thought the prince a spoiled and perhaps delicate creature. But listening to him bellow her name with rage in his bones, perhaps he was a man of drive after all.
"Thena!!!"
Gil worked on the rope around Thena's wrists. He would let Eros tire himself out up there. If he didn't fully know what happened, all the better. He could scream his head right off his shoulders. He pulled the cloth from within her mouth like a horse's bridle. He whispered, "Thena?"
She winced, but her sparkling green eyes opened. Her mouth opened but he pressed it against his chest again.
"I know you're there, lumberjack!"
Thena's newly unbound hands clutched at him. He held her tightly. They could keep running as long as they needed, as far as he was concerned. He would sooner burn down the cabin - his life's work - and start anew somewhere than hand Thena over to that cretin.
"Your highness!"
It was harder to hear as the new voice joined them. The two men spoke amongst themselves, the guard no doubt explaining how he had been assailed and woken up to his horse missing. Eros knew he had something to do with it, but there was no substantial evidence that he had. Right now, it just seemed that a horse had gotten spooked and run right over the edge in its panic.
"Another day, Thena dear!" Eros promised in a menacing tone (at least Gil found it very menacing). He was hovering close to the edge, looking into the woods below for evidence of his escaped prey.
"Your highness, what of the horse?"
There was a long pause, and then Eros was yelling again. "Put it down! And next time you see the lumberjack, do exactly the same!"
Thena clutched at him again but he rubbed her back. He was quite sure Eros didn't have that kind of mettle to him. Even if he did, that would have to be addressed at a later date. He held her still, waiting until there no sounds of distressed horses, or the clatter of armour and swords. He waited much longer than that.
Eventually he shifted. His legs were all pins and needles. Even if they had laid a trap for them, he doubted they were going to wait all night. He shifted Thena in his arms, pressing his finger to her lips. Even if they were waiting, they couldn't know she was with him.
Gil crawled out of the tree, looking around furtively as a fawn with every movement. He peeked up the hill, trying to determine if their hunters were lying in wait. He crawled on his belly, through the pine needles and twigs. He made it to the road's edge.
The horse was gone. Perhaps Eros was more bluster than substance after all. Gil had to admit he hoped the horse would not be put down for what he had demanded of it. He slid back down to their tree shelter.
Thena looked at him, tears in her eyes.
He just nodded, holding out his hand for her. It was a long walk if they took the roads. Her feet were bare, proving that they had broken into the cabin and snatched her away.
She crawled out to join him, collapsing into his chest. He rubbed her back, letting her sob into his shirt. What a fright for his runaway bride to have. And he had failed to protect her, yet again.
They made it back to the road, at least. He looked at Thena, who seemed completely in a daze. Her feet were covered in mud from the road, probably scratched and wounded all over again. He would prepare one of her favourite foot baths when they got home.
Would it still feel like home to her? After having been taken from its very steps?
Gil moved deftly, sweeping her up into his arms so she wouldn't have to walk a single more step. She didn't say anything as he looped her arm around the back of his neck. He didn't say anything either, although he looked at her as her fingers touched his cheek.
"Are you hurt?"
He smiled faintly. Her voice was steady, if a little raw. "No, I'm not hurt. Are you?"
She shook her head, looking at him like she had never seen him before he had fallen from the sky. "I tried to call for you, but he put that cloth in my mouth. I scratched him."
Gil examined the mix of blood an dirt under her delicate fingernails. He chuckled, pressing a kiss to her temple, "that's my girl."
She let out something resembling a laugh as well, resting her head more comfortably on his shoulder. "What will we do, Gil? Will they keep coming after us?"
"I don't know, sweetheart." It was a pitiful offering. But it was his most honest one.
"I don't want to leave our home."
"I know." He didn't particularly want to either. But perhaps that would be best for his runaway bride.
"I'm surprised claiming we were married had no effect. I thought surely if Eros thought you'd already had me that he would no longer have any interest."
Gil blushed. He would also assume something like that, honestly. But clearly Eros either didn't believe her or didn't care even if it was true. But surely if they were married, there was nothing he nor her father could do.
They had to find a way to wed.

What if Quinn is pregnant so maybe stress of big wedding and just finding out she is pregnant maybe is reason she possibly runs
this is the second ask I receive with this theory, omg staaap I'm gonna get my hopes up.
It's unproveable, but I would take that before them fighting or not being dure about wanting to marry each other. Like, c'mon, they've been together for 15 years, and I hate the runaway bride trope so much, specially when it's a long term relationship, like you were committed to each other already what does a piece of paper change?
Besides Logan and Quinn had been from the very start of a relationship a prime example of a healthy relationship that knows how to communicate and problem-solve together, and that was while they were just teens, you mean to tell me they backtracked on maturity as adults? c'mon
Like yea, I'd take the pregnancy before that.
And I'm tired of everyone wished to go back to HS or has a 30 crisis trope, like yea it happens, but ppl thrive at 30 too, and Quogan were the most probable of the cast (along with Lola) to have their lives figured out and thriving at that age. I don't wanna see Quinn or Logan being like "ohhh life was better in high-school", like it's clear Zoey is the loser here okay? not my ship.
Also omg I'm imagining a quogan baby and crying, so cute.

hey amanda
just saw your runaway bride gifs in a row, and girl, it's amazing. Thank you!
I think so too btw, runaway bride is better than pretty woman. Although i like the music from both movies very much
Pretty woman - nicest song.. but the whole songs they put in runaway bride are just gorgeous and fittin, don't you think?
Great to know that there're more people out there that love this movie
Best wishes - Lena
I think I only saw Pretty Woman once, maybe twice, but I've seen Runway Bride many more times. It's certainly quoted much more on my household. And I just honestly think it's better. Maybe it's not as sexy as Pretty Woman, but I think it's much more endearing, and that's what I want in a rom com. It has it's own problems, sure, but I think it's aged better and it just has a higher rewatch factor for me.

New story from you. Yeah! I can't wait to read it. I would like to know more of that unusual fake dating situation. Kate and Anthony? 👀
Yay! I’ve been completely obsessed with this story this week! I hope people like it 😍
As for the fake dating (well it’s set on Canon time so maybe fake courting?), it’s not between Kate and Anthony. Only Anthony’s involved in it.
But don’t worry. No love triangles in this story, Anthony’s doing it to help. Everyone involved in on board with the plan (including Kate herself). 😬

drama for the runaway bride au: A man from the nearby village has seen Thena at Gilgameshs little forest house and informed royal guards who informed the King and now they're standing in front of Gilgameshs door again and invite themselves in and they're dragging Thena back to the castle
Gil smiled down at the flowers in his hand. Thena would love them--they were soft and white and lovely, just like her. He would put them in some water when he got home, maybe after dinner. Thena was probably chopping vegetables this very second. She was getting better at it.
It had been almost a year since she found him--or since he found her, maybe it was better to say. The beautiful bride he found hiding in a tree trunk was no longer a lost little fawn. She had come to learn everything that was required to keep the house in good order. She had taken over those duties all together when he'd been injured.
The cabin was as much hers as it was his, as far as he was concerned.
And it was high time he tell her as much, too. Maybe it was silly to do something so formally when she had indeed lived alongside him all this time. He often blushed to remember that they even shared a bed. But he felt he had to say something--let her know just how important it was to him that she was here.
"No, let go of me!"
The flowers dropped from Gil's hand. He took off in a run, his feet slipping faintly as he charged towards the house, a royal carriage parked out front.
"Get off me!" Thena screamed, so unlike her usual self. But she was a force to be reckoned with, clawing and thrashing, teeth bared like a wild animal.
"Your highness, please," the men pleaded with her.
"Let her go!" Gil bellowed before he could even think about it. All he knew was that he could see Thena being taken away, and he had to stop it. "Get away from her!"
"The lumberjack is back!"
"Stop him!"
"He has a weapon!"
"No!" Thena pulled against the suits of armour holding each of her arms. "No, don't hurt him!"
Gil slid to a stop, holding his axe but eyeing the line of royal soldiers with their swords pointed at him. "What do you think you're doing with her?"
"The princess is coming with us!"
"Like hell she is," he snarled at them. He would fight all of them, outnumbered or not, if he had to. "You're not going anywhere with my Thena."
"Gil!" she cried out for him. She managed to pull away from her captors, shoving the men out of her way until she could stand in front of him. "Enough!"
"Your highness, move!" the frontmost man barked at her.
"No!" she barked right back at him (that was his Thena). "Or would you rather report to my father than you've run me through trying to capture an innocent man?"
The guards did lower their weapons, although it didn't do much to make Gil feel better about the whole thing. The captain glared at him. "He is no innocent man, your highness. The lumberjack stands accused of kidnapping and holding the princess hostage."
"There is no such crime," Thena stated, although it seemed that - princess or not - her word didn't weigh as much as it should to the men facing them.
"His majesty has been searching, my lady," the captain scowled at her, still standing in front of Gil to protect him. "For nigh on a year, now."
It was a year this very day, actually.
"Then tell him you've found me," Thena challenged, her shoulders squared and her braid sliding off her shoulder and down her back. "Tell him you've found me and that I refuse to return."
The other guards looked between themselves. They were just men following orders, doing their jobs, trying to feed themselves and their families.
"I cannot, your highness."
"Well I won't be going with you, so you may pick which is a worse fate," Thena snipped at him, grasping Gil's hand behind her. "But if a hair on this man's head is hurt, I will have the lot of you executed."
Gil blinked. The men didn't seem to take her all that seriously, but he would be trembling in his armour if he were in their shoes. They hadn't seen her furious at the end of a long day when he'd forgotten to wipe his muddy boots off yet again.
"Princess Thena," the captain resumed his attempt at reasoning with her. He stepped forward, hand on his chest (and off his weapon). "Not only your father but your fiance the prince has also-"
"I have no fiance, captain," Thena cut him off without even batting an eye. "And if there is a snivelling pup inhabiting the castle saying he is, then I mourn for the days of your honour as a royal guard."
Damn, she really had a way with words, especially when they were insulting.
"My lady, I implore you," the captain bent at the waist and bowed to her. "I am not to return without you, sworn on my life."
Thena sighed. She wouldn't be responsible for something like that--she refused to be. Gil gave her hand a squeeze, "captain?"
"Highness?" he peeked up at her, a little too eager for how little time had passed.
"If my father has threatened you all with death," she held her head high. "Then I suggest you run away."
The men paled.
"These forests are deep. You could find the village, start anew, take your families and leave the prison my father calls a castle. But I will not return there with you, and if your lives depend on me doing so, then I am telling you now to save yourselves."
"Highness," another guard interjected, although Gil got the sense that he wasn't really allowed to speak up so freely. "If it's about the lumberjack, perhaps your father would employ-"
"Silence!"
Gil shrank slightly, and he was behind her! The men facing them flinched.
"My father," she said it like she would talk about hay mould, or spiders, or wild boars. Her eyes locked with the guard, "is not fit to stand in the same room as the man behind me."
"H-Highness-"
"Stop calling me that!"
"Princess," the captain took the reins again, his voice raising. "I have been ordered to bring you back. And I regret to inform you that I am to use any means necessary to do so."
"Truly?" she didn't back down from the threat, but still stood close enough to Gil that no one would be able to approach him without her being in the way. "Would you tie me up and kidnap me, captain? Would you apprehend the crown princess?"
"If I must, my lady," he informed her with an equal lack of remorse. "I was ordered to retrieve you, alive, but by no means was I told to do so with gentility. And if I must bring you back by force, then so be it."
Gil gripped his axe again. He didn't like where this was headed. Thena backed up into him even more, pressing her back to his chest. Her hand gripped the handle of his axe, throwing off his grip. She didn't want him to fight.
"I'm sure my resistance will be attributed to my so called 'kidnapper' fighting you off?" Thena assumed aloud.
"Aye," the captain confirmed.
"Then I must tell you..."
Gil held his breath same as the guards did. He didn't know what she had up her sleeve, but it had better be good. It really seemed like everyone's lives were depending on it.
"That I have already married him."
What was that now?
The men traded looks, most horrified, a few more curious than anything. The captain looked positively flushed with rage. "I beg your pardon."
"I have married this man," Thena proclaimed like it was nothing. She wound their fingers together.
"Each and every marriage must be officiated properly, your highness." The captain looked mortified, but in an angry way. "Your father will never recognise it as a lawful union."
"Then I suppose you will have to go and tell him regardless."
"Thena," he breathed against her hair. He wasn't sure if this would only invite more trouble down the line or not, especially considering it was a bold faced lie. But he went with it.
"That his daughter has run off and had a bastardisation of a marriage in the woods with some lowly peasant?!"
Gil huffed; he wasn't rich by any means, but he wasn't sure if he was a peasant, either. He had just worked at the castle not two weeks ago!
"Yes," she persisted, "tell him exactly that, or anything else. But he may know that I love the man I am with, and that I will not return to his gilded cage to be sold like chattel."
The captain sighed deeply. If looks could kill, he would be on trial for regicide, "if that is what her highness wishes."
"It is an order."
As if the word 'order' were a magic spell, the men all snapped up straighter, heels together. "Ma'am!"
"Then we must inform the king," the captain declared, pulling back his tiny battalion to deliver truly terrible news.
"I wish you luck," Thena sent them off with the snide wish, crossing her arms as they loaded into the carriages again. She kept glaring until they were dragging themselves off the beaten path and back to the main road again.
Gil let out a breath once they were out of sight. He leaned on his knees, heart hammering, "wow."
Thena also sighed, turning around to face him. "I suppose we will have to be prepared for the possibility that the magistrate will come knocking next."
"Uh, Thena?"
"Perhaps Eros will come with some fake document to state that I am not legally allowed to marry anyone but him," she continued, rolling her eyes and sorting out her braid again, "like a land deed."
"Thena," Gil tried again.
"As much as I never want to see him again, I would pay any price to see the image of my father's face when he finds out his crown jewel has-"
"Thena!" he interrupted, not at all yelling at her but certainly not keeping quiet anymore. He stood to his full height again, smiling at her, "married, are we?"
Finally faced with the consequences of her lie, she looked down at the ground between them, quickly flushing rouge. "U-Uh, w-well-"
"Wish I had known," he chuckled, trying to get a peek at her face, "I'd have gotten you a gift, darling."
She squirmed, toying with the edge of her apron (which none of the guards noticed was literally made from her once-wedding dress). "I had to think of something they couldn't argue with me about."
"No, I guess you were right," Gil chuckled, throwing his arm over her shoulders and pulling her closer, "now I just have to worry about your dad busting down my door, huh?"
"Please," she scoffed at the very idea, "Father hasn't set food outside the castle in well over two decades. I think he would sooner write me off as missing and deceased than lift a finger to verify it himself."
Gil wasn't sure if that was so true, but he couldn't do anything but take her word for it at the moment. He kissed her forehead, "are you okay?"
She sighed, leaning against his chest, tugging at the suspenders over his flannel shirt. "I tried to hide again but they circled the house and took me. I was worried...I thought you wouldn't-"
"Hey, okay, sh," he whispered, pressing his nose to her temple as she sniffed back her tears. He had been scared of that very thing. "It's okay, nothing like that is gonna happen."
Neither of them could guarantee that.
Thena put her hands on his hips, while he did the same for her. "I'm sorry to lie like that."
He shook his head. He didn't mind it nearly as much as she thought he did. Maybe he minded that it wasn't actually true, but that was for a later date. "It is our anniversary, actually."
Thena smiled, their foreheads meeting gently. She rose on her toes, just enough to touch her lips to his, "happy anniversary, my sweet lumberjack."
