RVB OC WEEK : DAY 4 AI/Robots/Aliens/Otherworldly Creatures

Man, it would sure be awkward to accidentally summon a so called god in one of those weird alien temples Neko likes to poke around. Like...really, really awkward. ... Hey do you hear that weird humming?

Enter Stage Left: APOVOS.

One of the canonical cosmic powers that little to nothing elaborated on so I, naturally, latched onto her and ran. Not technically an oc but also, at this point, i think she counts.

Apovos, or Archival-Perception-of-Visions-on-Stars to use her Forerunner inspired name, fills the role of record keeping slash memory storage slash historian for the Cosmic Powers. It's her job to keep track of everything that has happened, ever. It keeps her busy but to stay on top of it she often has to keep tabs on literally everything going on currently so she knows when something she needs to record happens, so she tends to be quite in the loop on rumors and gossip.

With the claim to "godhood" the Cosmic Powers claim, her role has given her the title of 'God(ess) of Memory and Memorium'- patron of storytellers, historians and the dead. The people who remember, and those who need to be remembered. She's fond of Chorus Cats, and thinks the fact that they match the four eyes she often presents with in her projections is absolutely adorable, and will settle her code in the temples on Chorus to simply watch the little critters run around as a way of unwinding after a busy time. Her projection is inspired by Forerunners, although she can alter it accordingly. I just like drawing the weird alien AI as weird aliens.

Just rewatched seasons 15-17, I don’t know why so many people hate it so much. Like yeah it’s got its issues, just like literally every other season. I think the main plot is pretty dumb and the characters sometimes feel wonky, but I also think it has some really strong comedy moments and interesting branches of characterization.

I'm gonna confess something here: I remember being more invested in dylan's implied marriage problems that were only brought up in one scene than I was in the rest of the plot of s15. fuck the blues and reds, fuck dumb grimmons drama, fuck locus redemption, I want to know if dylan's going to get divorced!

I finished rewatching season 17 😭

I love it so much, and it's so special to me. I think partially because at the time I started rvb it was the most recent season. But also because it was sort of The End. Restoration didnt continue that story, it sounds more like an AU to me, and Zero technically continues it but is more like a spin off

So it has such an End of an Era feel. I used to really want more of this story but tbh I think 17 leaves it in a good place, I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm just sad it's over 😞

Some moments I want to shout out

I forgot about the scene where Tucker is talking to Genkins but Felix is also there and can't hear genkins. And it absolutely killed me.

Wash telling Locus he's trying to get shot

When Chrovos says "I don't go to parties dear, they come to me" and Tucker and Sister simultaneously say "cool"

"I'm just gonna....pry the chain gun off this pelican" "if he's single theres no hope for any of us" - iconic moment

Sister's fake story ideas to tell Tucker when he wakes up after having junior

Also her little evil laugh after Tucker says Fuck you to her

Felix is Afraid of Knives

The running gag of Donut getting shot by Wash over and over

Caboose's thing about looking at Church's helmet because it hurts. Ow

Carolinas speech to her past self was everything

Theres so many other moments i love but this is already too long
