Why do we think Chimney is going to be in the hospital?

Because the cast hasn't been vague about it, honestly. Kenny has posted himself on set in a hospital gown and a video of Jennifer (making him laugh) inside one of the rooms while he's clearly filming from the bed. (She was in plain clothes, ftr.) + Ryan and Bryan (Josh) filmed their International Women's Day messages for social media from the hospital - Ryan was standing outside the main doors (featuring Tracie walking in the background, too) and Bryan was inside. + Kelvin Han Yee (Mr. Lee) posted a pic with Gregory Harrison (Phillip) from inside.
