I normally put my notes at the end of submissions but I wanted to preface this post by saying that I have not done any research into the matter farther than what has been presented here and am simply sharing information that was shared with me. I normally don’t share things like this that call out specific people but as this could potentially be a matter of safety I thought it important to present this information. (Please post this anonymously) You may have heard of this before, but Ryan Kopf https://m.facebook.com/RyanKopf?fref=ts is the CEO of AnimeCon.Org, the organization behind midwestern conventions such as Anime Midwest, Con + Alt + Delete, Meta Con, etc. These conventions are known for holding Lolita-related events such as fashion shows, industry guest panels, and tea parties.

However, he also has an extensive criminal record. He has been accused and caught several times of sexual assault. He targets girls and young women, as far as I know. He has been banned from numerous conventions before and opens his own conventions in the same space for revenge.

First they say that they knew in 2016, but continue to work for the guy until this year. They are literally admitting to turning a blind eye. V is for Villains truly seems to only be backing out because people came after them. If they cared that he us a rapist and pedophile they would have left in 2016 when they originally found out. Yes it’s a hard place to be, but seriously don’t associate with Ryan Kopf. There are other conventions out there where women and minors are not at risk.
