How would you feel if you found your lover’s vibrator?

In the movie, I see it in secret and pretend not to know. I’m an unconfident person who even failed his examination for promotion, so size matters more to him, and thus he is hurt by his lover owning a vibrator.

I read Park Min-gyu’s novel recently and it had a similar story. A car salesperson returned home and asked for a meal, and his wife asked “Haven’t you eaten yet?” which made him go ballistic and cause a scene in their house. I’m most bored after finishing a project when I’m waiting without any future plans. I’m also bored when I have to drink on the set while waiting, without the presence of my character.

How did you feel when you first watched Like a Virgin, Director Lee Hae-young’s first installment of his sexual fantasy work?

It was touching. It was cute to see young Ryu Deokhwan crossdressing in a Chinese-style dress and applying lipstick. Also the scene where the father looks down at his son while riding an excavator.

What would you say if the actual Madonna entered this room, completely nude?

Please leave! I’m scared. You’re not my type. I like round women.

Have you ever pictured yourself wanting to slap Marilyn Monroe’s buttocks?

What buttocks? I do want to have a drink with her. Even though we wouldn’t be able to understand each other and there would be no need to talk in the first place.

Song Kangho hyung played a priest in Thirst. The monk role would be more fun. It would be the Buddhist version of Thirst, called Did You See?... (T/N: “Did you see” in Korean is pronounced “Bwat-ji,” which sounds similar to Thirst’s Korean title “Bak-jwi.”)

Oh! You told a joke for the first time.

You’re asking troubling questions so I can’t be serious. Try asking this question to other actors. They’ll all be good at [answering]. I can’t talk or sing and I freeze whenever I even see a studio camera. I’ve had no reason to train for this type of conversation, either.

Try playing on the boundary between jokes and serious talk. Let’s make the claim that, for instance, Lindsay Lohan wants to have a threesome with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and 45 minutes later, she will announce her marriage to Brandon Flowers of the band The Killers.

I’d do anything if it’s for acting in a film…

What do you mean by that?

I could act as a gay or transgender character, or I could run around the Myeongdong streets while naked.

That’s not a scene I would particularly want to see. If only one film could remain in this world, what should it be?

Wealth and honor, hehe. (T/N: Term for “wealth and honor” in Korean is pronounced “bu-gwi-yeong-hwa” and the word for “movie” in Korean is “yeong-hwa.” Shin Hakyun was making a pun based with the last two letters/syllables of the first word, which overlap with the word for “movie.”)

You keep smiling/laughing only.

Smiling is my habit. In school, I was friends with everyone. Smart kids, carefree kids, kids who always fought. They were all nice to me, and that was because I always smiled without saying anything. Since then, smiling has become a habit.

So smiling was your version of camouflage. It is a bit sad for being the origin story of a million-dollar smile.

Hehehe.

What pose would you do if you were chosen as the cover model of Playboy?

I would show my back. I’m not confident about my front. My butt appears in this film Festival as well. It is a shame that I had to look oily and plump due to my character being a lazy drunk.

8 + 8 olmak üzere 2 sezondan oluşan bir platform dizisi. Birbirinden bambaşka karakterde dört kişinin aynı evi paylaşmak zorunda kalmasıyla, onların hayata dair yaşadıkları zorluklara dostluklarına ve aşk hayatlarına şahit olduğumuz bir diziydi. Güzel bir dizi miydi? Yeaaaniğ! Kötü bir dizi miydi? Yeaaniğ! Var ile yok arasında bir diziydi. Çekimleri, oyunculuklar kötü değildi o yüzden rahatsız edici bir şey yoktu. Bayıldığım bir detay var mıydı? İlgi çekici bir şey gördüm mü derseniz o da yoktu o yüzden güzel dizide diyemeyeceğim.

Konusu gerçekten tam anlamı ile 4 kişinin “ Slice of life “ından oluşuyor. O yüzden karakterleri anlatayım;

Tae-O(Ji Soo); Zengin bir ailenin oğludur. 20 yaşında kendi başına eve çıkar. Arkadaş canlısı bir insandır. 3 yaşından beri Song-Yi (Jung Chae-Yeon) ile arkadaştır.

Song-Yi(Jung Chae-Yeon) babası ölünce annesi evi terk etmiş tek başına yaşamaya çalışan bir üniversite öğrencisidir. Oturduğu ev satılıp onu kapının önüne koydukları için evsiz kalır. Bir şekilde arkadaşı Tae-O’nun yanında kalmaya başlar.

Ga-Rin(Choi Ri); Ailesi çok zengin olan bu kızımız büyük bir şirketin varisidir. Ama şimdiye kadar bir fanusta yaşadığından hayatı deneyimlemek kendi ayakları üzerinde durabildiğini görmek için evden kaçar. Bir şekilde tek tanıdığı arkadaşı olan Tae-O’nun evine gelir.

Hoon (Kang Tae-Oh); En hayalperest olan karakter Hoon’dur. Müzikal bir tiyatroda rol almak isteyen amatör bir oyuncudur. Ama ailesi bu duruma şiddetle karşı çıkmaktadır. Babasının şiddete başvurması bardağı taşıran son damla olur ve evi terk eder. Geldiği yer ise Tae-O’nun evidir.

Böylece ev ahalisi olan dörtlü tamamlanmış olur. Karakterlerimizin dışında iki kişi daha vardır. Biri Do-Hyun(Jin Young); Tae-O’nun yakın arkadaşı. Ailesini durumu kötü olduğu için birden fazla işte çalışarak geçimini sağlayan realistik ve yalnız biri. Diğeri ise ; Ryu Se-Hyun(Hong Ji-Yoon) ‘dur. Film kulübü öğrencisi olan bu kızımız Song-Yi’nin evini satın alan ailenin şımarık kızıdır. Aynı zamanda Tae-O’nun hoşlandığı kızıdır.

Dizide ikinci erkek, ikinci kadın kavramları biraz birbirlerine giriyor. En başta çocukluk arkadaşları olan ikili çift olacak gibi dursa da kızımızın aklı Do-Hyun’a kayıyor. Zaten Tae-O’nun hoşlandığı kız da Se-Hyun. Ama böyle olunca da izleyici ha şimdi ha sonra diye karakterlerin ayrılıklarını beklerken buluyor kendini. Çünkü biliyoruz ki onlar başrol değiller… Aslında bir yere kadar izleyiciyi ikna etmeyi de başardılar diyebilirim. Gerçekten yakın arkadaş olunabileceğine inanmanın eşiğine geldik.

Dizi çok durağan, olağan ve aksiyonsuz bir yapım olduğu için bütün mevzuyu son bölüme bırakmaları beni biraz darladı. Kötü karakter olsaydı biraz duygu geçişi yaşasaydık bile dedim. Zira yoktu. Dizide entrika, baş ağrısı, sinir krizi yoktu. Ama öte yandan şeker şerbet bir aşk, kıskanılacak bir arkadaş ortamı falanda yoktu. Dizinin eksiği, dizide bir şey olmamasıydı.

Dizideki tek güzel şey, o da güzel bir şey bulmak için çabalarsanız, Hoon ile Ga-Rin çiftiydi. Birbirlerinden inanılmaz zıt iki karakterin yakınlaşmaları dizinin durağanlığını bir tık sarstığı için izlemeye değerdi. Keza oyuncu Kang Tae-Oh’u severiz.

 Konusu 2015 yapımı aynı isimli filmden esinlenilmiş bir kore dizisidir. Filmde her sabah farklı bir bedenle uyanan bir adamın hoşlandığı kıza açılmaya çalışması konu edilmişti. Dizide bunu biraz değiştirmişler. Bu sefer başrolümüz bir kadın; Han Se-Kye (Seo Hyun-Jin) çok meşhur bir model/oyuncudur. Ortalama ayda bir kere farklı bir vücutta uyanır ve 1 haftaya yakın o şekilde yaşamak zorunda kalır. Bu nedenle kariyerinde kaçan oyuncu olarak adı çıkmıştır. Zaten dizi Se-Kye’nin ödül töreni sırasında değişmeye başladığını fark ederek kaçması ile başlıyor.

Se-Kye’nin bir havayolu şirketinin yüzü olarak sözleşmesi vardır. Sözleşme gereği havayolu şirketinin başkanı olan Seo Do-Jae (Lee Min-Ki) ile seyahat etmesi gerekmektedir. Birlikte bir etkinliğe katılmaları zorunludur. Bu seyahat sırasında Do-Jae ile ilgili bir sırrı tesadüfen öğrenir. Seo Do-Jae gençken geçirdiği bir kaza sonrasında yüz körlüğü yaşamaktadır. İnsanları; sesleri, kıyafetleri ve yaka kartları ile ayırt edebilmektedir. Dizide, yüzü ayda bir değişen bir kadın ve yüzleri ayırt edemeyen bir adamın ilişki anlatılıyor diyebiliriz.

Öncelikle dizide tarafların ikisi de oldukça zengin oldukları için; ortamda fakir kız, zengin erkek dramı yoktu. Buna bağlı olarak ailelerin çocuklarına hayatı zindan etmesi gibi bir durumda söz konusu değildi. Aşk üçgenleri, gereksiz kafa karışıklıkları da yoktu. Karakterler ekonomik olarak yere sağlam bastıkları gibi duygusal olarak da ne istediklerini bilen güçlü bireyler olarak yazılmıştı. Bu durum dizinin bir miktar fantastik olmasından da kaynaklanıyor olabilir. Zaten hali hazırda başrol kadın karakteri bir bakıyorsunuz 10 yaşında çocuk bir bakıyorsunuz 40 yaşında bir adam olabildiği için, ayrıca bir 3.şahıs koymaya gerek görmemişler.

Seo Do-Jae’nin tarafına bir göz atacak olursak; üvey kız kardeşi Kang Sa-Ra(Lee Da-Hee) içten içe abisinin onunla ilgilenmesini isteyen küçük bir kız çocuğu gibi hissetse de dimdik onun karşısında durup ona rakip olmaya çalışan bir kadındır. Oyuncuya bayılıyorum. Hem güzel hem eğlenceli hem sevimli sempatik bir kadın. Bence diziye kendince güzel bir hava katmış.

Diğer yanda bütün işlerini halleden sekreteri Jung Joo-Hwan(Lee Tae-Ri) de oldukça eğlenceli bir karakterdi. Han Se-Kye tarafına geçersek, onun bu sırrını bilen 2 yakın arkadaşı vardı. İlki aynı zamanda menajeri olan Yoo Woo-Mi(Moon Ji-In) idi. Bütün kayıp zamanlarını bir şekilde telafi eden fedakar ve verici bir arkadaştı. Aynı zamanda onu ailesi gibi gözetir. Diğeri ise Ryu Eun-Ho (Ahn Jae-Hyeon)’dur. Bu karakter ise herkesin sevgilisidir. Bütün yarı zamanlı işlerde çalışır, hayır işleri yapar. Hayali papaz olmaktır. Ailesine bunu kabul ettiremediği için zamanının çoğunu çalışarak geçiriyordur. Özellikle bu karaktere bayıldım. Son derece naif, doğal ve karizmatikti. İzlerken öyle bir arkadaşım olmasını isteyerek bol bol özenerek izledim. Oyuncuyu ilk önce “Cinderella and the four knights” dizisinde parlak dudak olarak izlemiştim. Oyunculuk anlamında dağlar denizler geçmiş diyebilirim.

Başrol karakterin değişimleri sırasında Kim Min Suk, Ra Mi Ran gibi tanıdık isimler görebilirsiniz. Ama bunun hazzını yaşamak istiyorsanız filmi izlemenizi, hatta izlemediyseniz daha önce izlemenizi öneririm. Çünkü filmde o zaman yeni yeni adını duymaya başladığımız oyuncular şu an oldukça tanınan isimlere dönüştü. Bu yüzden adeta bir yıldızlar geçidiydi diyebilirim.  “Bunu tanıyorum, aaa kim oynamış, vay arkadaş..” tadında heyecanla filmi izleyebilirsiniz. Dizi ise, oldukça keyifle izlediğim ilklerime girmese de kalitesini belli eden bir yapım oldu.
