I never really warmed to Martha Masters but Last Temptation was a banger of an episode in what has (to me) been the least interesting season thus far.

Fascinating insights into Masters' character.

We get to see Masters' arrogance, how she enjoys being exceptional, and how she's motivated by her desire to be exceptional (like House lmao)

Masters was inspired by her patient's speech about how exceptional people play by different rules to violate the patient's consent and cut off her arm

For the first time Masters has to directly confront ethical nuance that she can't simply genius her way out of

Her takeaway from Wilson's explanation about House's infarction is that she would feel good about doing the "right" thing - but the right thing isn't always what feels good/doesn't always feel good

ALSO IMPORTANT

House and Wilson literally play gay chicken it's spectacular Wilson climbing over the balcony I died

Further confirmation Wilson's not the sane normal one

Ethical dilemmas aside Masters was staring down the barrel of her probable future at PPTH unmarried alone depressed engaging in stupid chicken contests with her codependent coworker and decided yeah hell no (probably a good call)

Would not want Masters as my doctor at least House is terrible to patients in a consistent way
