I feel sorry for my 13 ao3 subscribers while I'm trying to archive all my fandom shit on ao3
#and I mean yes not just fics#the idea of having a fully tagged and easily searchable catalog of my stuff (fanarts included) is too appealing#especially because the search on dA has been shit for the past what 10 years? and now it's full of AI too#AND it's not the fullest storage of my fanworks it's missing some art almost all collages and some other things (and fics)#so please bear with me while I'm trying to host format tag crosslink describe add alt text to all that#i've been doing it for a year more or less and I have 331 more pieces to go

As an adult who celebrates (heavily secularised) Christmas, including now actually inviting people over for dinner and stuff, I now understand the reason behind going overboard making the house look nice.
It's not about appearances or upholding tradition or anything like that. We're only inviting people who don't really care, and I only care about traditions that make me happy.
HOWEVER
A) It's fun to decorate and do something a lil fancy once in a while!
B) It's a good fucking excuse to actually make yourself clean the house properly, after putting it off all year.
#real life maybe#i moved back in with my housemates in September#and it's been a slow progress of unpacking while also studying#the living room was so full of boxes stuff for a while#esp since we were also doing a BUNCH of house cleaning and getting rid of a load of things#and then we were getting new closets for storage space#and in general it's been like non-stop low-level chaos since summer#now we've FINALLY got almost everything worked out#and like yes. everything not perfect? it's fine. no one cares.#but it feels so good to get stuff done!!#also pls note that one of us has ADHD and apparently just fucking permanent iron deficiency fatigue (me)#another also has ADHD and is super busy. and the last one is autistic and is disabled with chronic pain#so it's frankly amazing when we do make the house look great

FINALLY FIGURED OUT THE MYSTERY OF MY CONSTANTLY FULL PHONE STORAGE
So, the story begins with the fact that everyone in my close family (mum, dad, sis and me) all have the same type of phone.
My dad dropped his in the bath a couple of years ago and got a new one. He explicitly apologised for getting it because he now had double the storage as us.
But that wasn't quite true.
For over a year now, my sister and I have been comparing the amount of photos, music and apps we have and she and my mum have like over 1000 photos and over 100 songs and can scroll through their apps while my storage is almost full and crying for help with 50 songs 300 photos and I have a total of two games and two social media apps.
Yesterday I had a brilliant idea. We checked our total storage space and it turns out I HAVE HALF THE STORAGE THEY DO. (And my dad has double the storage they do.)
so if anyone's wondering I just here with my 64GB storage. Surviving
