Had this one sitting unfinished for more than a year, but it's finally done! In my headcanon Sabran commissioned a pair of portraits before Ead left (yes, the other one is coming soon 😉). She's holding an orange blossom and a rose for obvious reasons...

I adored this book and this scene lives forever in my mind. I also head cannon Ead to be utterly ripped, what of it?!

This is my first time ever using colour or drawing this style, and well, what a rollercoaster of emotions that was!

I also think I may have inadvertently made Sabran’s features oddly familiar, having drawn another dark haired, green eyed someone too many times…

I didn’t log my comments or reactions for this book. This was a hard one to get through. I liked the story, but it just felt like there was a lot of extra unnecessary writing. It felt a bit drawn out. But it was interesting enough that I wanted to finish it.

I loved Ead’s character and her story. I loved Tane’s character as well. I was a bit disappointed we didn’t see the dragons more, but I liked how Ead and Tane ended up being connected in the end. 

I’m disappointed with myself for not logging comments and reactions because now I don’t have a lot to say. So many people died! Kit, Truyde, Sulyard, both Tane’s friends, Ead’s friend. I was half afraid that Ead’s guardian was going to end up dead too.

That’s really all I have to say. I liked the story. It was good, but it’s probably not a book I’ll read again.

Sorry this one was lacking in commentary.
