The Wii Facts Plus blog is now on an indefinite hiatus due to real-life time constraints. Thank you all very much for your support over the years! The Twitter and Tumblr blogs both will remain up for as long as they don't get banned or something. My main account is @HEYimHeroic on all platforms... though I don't use Tumblr outside of using it for Wii Facts Plus. So I suggest you follow me elsewhere under that username, like Twitter or Cohost.

This blog is what started my interest in Mii trivia, documentation, and preservation efforts. The blog is not going on hiatus because I no longer have an interest in Miis - quite the opposite, actually! I now have many other projects that are (at least from a preservation/archival standpoint) more important than the Wii Facts Plus blog. For example, my main focus, the Mii Library, which aims to archive and preserve every officially recognized Mii ever. (Though, the site is also on hiatus as of this post... But only because I'm working on rewriting the whole site!)

I still occassionally post Mii facts on my main Twitter account, which may get retweeted onto the Wii Facts Plus Twitter blog in the future. It will not get reposted onto the Tumblr account, however. Also, I always make it a point to make a post about Mii birthday events on my birthday, February 23rd, so I may continue doing that for the Wii Facts Plus blog. Overall, I'm still collecting many, many interesting Mii facts, I just am either not posting it because it should go on the Mii Library, or I'm posting it as regular tweets on my main account on Twitter. But I understand finding those tweets may be hard, so that's why I think I may retweet them on the Wii Facts Plus Twitter account!

For long-form Mii trivia content, I will sometimes also post on my main Cohost account. Though I don't have much content on it currently, I do have one very long post about Saburo's interesting history, all the way from Wii Sports, up to Nintendo Switch Sports, and even dipping into Smash Bros. I also plan to post some interesting Mii stuff on my main YouTube channel, but there's currently nothing there as of writing this post. But expect to see both Shorts and longer videos explaining technical Mii things!

The Mii Library rewrite is coming along! There are so many useful features that I'll be able to implement that I wouldn't be able to if I was still using Google Sites. Some features are just for-fun, but other features help readers of the site to get the Miis onto their systems more easily! I can't wait.

Thank you all once again for everything. Mii facts are my passion, and probably will be for a good while. This blog officially entering hiatus just allows me more headspace to work on the more important Mii projects of mine. So, once again...

Wii Sports Sims- Beginners Part 1

I originally started this back in April. Do I remember what compelled me to do this the first time? No. Do I remember what compelled me to do this this time? Also no. Think of this as a proof of concept of sorts. I can't guarantee that I'll do everyone, but I'm aiming recreate the 100 Miis introduced in Wii Sports and Wii Sports in The Sims 4.

I'm mainly going off of the wiki. I'm using it to determine what order I do everyone in, so the only semblance of cohesion in terms of that, at least as far as I can tell, is that I'm sorting them into households based on their Wii Party difficulty. That and scrounging up bits of information such as nationalities and anything that could be used to give these Sims a hint of a personality. If the trivia on the wiki was still filled with a bunch of headcanons it would have made things so much easier.

I also play with quite a lot of cc and mods. That's going to become apparent very quickly.

Haru Okamoto

Age: Teen

Aspiration: Passionseeker

Traits: Geek, Bookworm, Cheerful, Goofball

How did I come up with her personality? Vibes, mostly. This time, mostly Sim vibes. Kind of a dork, but friendly. Wants to master something. What is that something? I don't know and I don't think she does either.

Saburo Moto

Age: Adult

Aspiration: Mega CEO

Traits: Ambitious, Hot-Headed, Self-Assured, Perfectionist, Bookworm

An example of going of Mii vibes. Overly serious and tries to give the impression that he is calm and professional, but his anger often betrays him. Does not like Miyu. He thinks she's annoying.

Miyu Fukuzawa

Age: Teen

Aspiration: In Crowd

Traits: Creative, Cheerful, Outgoing, Clumsy

I don't think anyone would look at Miyu (the Mii) and think of "edgy teenage girl", but here we are. I considered making her and Haru children instead of teens but I don't think most people would be okay with beating a child with a sword. Then again, in Wii Sports Club, you can face Miis such as Xiaojian and, continuing to use Xiaojian as an example, in the Miitopia data files he's listed as a child, so if you can beat a child with boxing gloves then beating a child with a sword is probably fair game. And that also brings up the question of if teenagers count as children in Miitopia's eyes and the ethics of beating a teenager with a sword. I'm probably thinking about this way too hard. These Sims are going to be teens at the youngest.

Is more outgoing and perky than people probably expect judging by her fashion sense. Does not like Saburo. Thinks he's uptight.

Jessie Jaegar

Age: Young Adult

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Active, Good, Self-Assured, Bro

An active participant in her community, probably aspires to own a farm. May or may not have something going on with James. Not sure yet. Does not get along with Luca. Not sure why yet. Luca's one of the Standard Miis so he won't come up for a bit.

Nelly Arthur

Age: Elder

Aspiration: Globe Trotter

Traits: Cheerful, Active, Good, Outgoing, Bookworm

Did you know that Nelly has the highest average skill of all the CPU Miis? I didn't, at least until I made her. So she's a sweet old lady. Who can kick your ass. In sports, at least. Not so much party games. An embodiment of "Call an ambulance! But not for me!" Has a love of learning.

Andy Morris

Age: Adult

Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy

Traits: Goofball, Cheerful, Self-Assured, Materialistic, Mean

Andy (the Mii) looks like he's up to something. Building off of this severe failure of the vibe check, I decided he's the sleazy businessman type. Constantly up to something and doing it all with a smile on his face. Tried to beat Matt for his boxing champion title. Did not succeed. He still feels bitter about it.

James Bennett

Age: Young Adult

Aspiration: Neighbourhood Confidante

Traits: Active, Good, Self-Assured, Loner, Perfectionist

Building off of the fact that he's the cycling referee, I decided that he's someone who is just and fair. He tries his best to be a good person, though prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Apparently, he was originally going to be Japanese rather than British. Perhaps, to translate that into The Sims 4, he spent his childhood in Mt. Komorebi?

Patrick Bonfils

Age: Adult

Aspiration: Bodybuilder

Traits: Active, Family-Oriented, Foodie, Bro, Self-Assured

Patrick is the one I think I had the most trouble with, to the point I was like "Haha. I ran out of ideas at Sim number 8." Also, the facial details? I have no idea how the hell to interpret it, never mind how to translate that onto a Sim.

I decided to make him a family man. Gave him traits that gave me the most "dad" energy (from the perspective of someone raised by her mother for most of her life) and also the active trait. I gave the body of a weightlifter which is rather unusual for me to do when making Sims.

And that's all for now. If you have any ideas, please share them. For some I currently only have their nationality to work with and I only really use that to determine their surname.

Ichiro - god. where do you even start with him lmAO i feel like ichiro loves pretty much every meme, he probably references vines a lot though, and references old shitty memes just to annoy people!! also is super on top of what memes are new. he loves minecraft memes a lot too (he shows Jiro and Saburo minecraft cursed images to wii music or something and Saburo just cries)

Jiro - JIRO IS AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND WHEN IT COMES TO MEMES I’ve been thinking about this for so long oops. he references memes so often (”what up, i’m jiro, i’m 17, and i never fuckin learnt how to read”) and sometimes you won’t even understand his entire sentence because of how incomprehensible it is. he tends to say nonsensical things out of nowhere like something stupid like “i cant believe ichi-nii died for real after he died in minecraft..oh my god” and yeah Saburo is just huddled in a corner. Jiro also uses tiktok i feel like he loves those ones where it’s just a head and neck attached to a leg he’s probably made one. (you know there’s this one video 

Saburo - he’ll never admit it to Jiro but he loves minecraft memes (they all do). he can probably recreate the cursed images in actual minecraft cause he’s a genius (I’ve seen a channel that does this it’s actually pretty cool). Honestly I think he’s pretty tolerant of most memes Ichiro blurts out, but he draws the line with the shitty 2005 memes like doge or something (”i love you ichi-nii but if you reference asdf movie one more time i’m going to disown you”).

almost everyone in hypmic plays video games, but everyone plays different genres of them. 

buster bros as a whole enjoys nintendo games, lots of mario, splatoon and zelda, very family friendly. jirou and ichiro like to play overwatch from time to time and saburo likes sandbox type games (minecraft, rollercoster tycoon)

samatoki likes classic video games that are simple and easy, plus jrpgs. riou likes call of duty and destiny. jyuto enjoys dating sims and rhythm games 

ramuda likes animal crossing of course, while gentarou likes harvest moon. dice owns a shitty wii and plays wii sports sometimes

hifumi and doppo play a LOT of mario kart together, and jakurai likes playing puzzle games (first one that comes to mind is alchemy deluxe)
