Day 7 of Medival Artober "Blacksmith"
When Y/N goes into the the next bigger village to get some things fixed or ask for something specific to be made for them Sun gets to see a lot of stuff, many things have changed since he was last able to freely roam outside and yet some things have stayed the same. And sometimes Sun dreams of a future as mundane and wonderfull as all these people get to live, as unobtainable as it seemed in the past... maybe, just maybe

actually no i love being a system. even when i don't. even though we're all using the same consciousness, we pick up things from each other.
toothless and faolan have gotten us into snapping our teeth like a wild thing when we're uncomfortable.
i will always remember rosh hashanah and yom kippur, seen through the eyes of foxfire (a demon, a fallen angel).
kayne got condescending pet names stuck in our vocabulary and annoying as that is i love him for it anyway.
we're good at fighting in minecraft because rhys wanted to get back to source-him's skill, and we never got all the way there but we're pretty damn good at it anyway.
we won that mock trial in tenth grade because of janus and (we will forever be riding the high of that/that's what made us realize we wanted to be a lawyer.)
and like there's more, i'm sure there's more, but it's late and i can't think of any other examples off the top of my head but just—i love being a system. i love every little guy and menace and bastard in this brain so much. i would not nearly be the person i am today without them, and i love them for it.

Hi Lellen!
You have an extensive masterlist! I was wondering… which fic of yours would you recommend to someone new to you who wanted to get a sense of who you are as a writer and a Pedro fan?
Hi Kat!
I had to think about this for a few days, but I think anything Jack & SunDrop pretty much sums up my writing - fluffy, sappy, cheesy idiots in love with hopefully some good banter thrown in there lol....
Thanks for the ask!! 💜

Playmates (N✨S✨F✨W)
You’ve finally found some quiet time to visit the Daycare during one of your later shifts. It isn’t often you’re able to hang around past closing, but tonight’s been slow (the security guard: a no-show,) and it’s nearly the end of your shift and you’ve nothing to do. So what else than making yourself look busy and checking in on your favourite friend?
The Daycare is a luminated beacon in the dark of its cozy, tucked-away corner. You like it because it doesn’t get alot of foot traffic - not like the rest of the megaplex where everything is connected to the atrium and everyone filters in and out, distracted by all of the attractions.
You also like it because it’s got a little unanticipated feeling of home. You’d consider it strange, but how could you feel nothing but a sense of belonging when its main resident always welcomes you in with open arms?
Usually, you’d be diving down the slide by now but something’s stopped you. You can’t quite place your hesitation. Something sappy weedles at you, and while you scoff at the thought, it brings an embarrassing, giddy little smile that won’t settle down no matter how much you fight it.
There definitely is not a skip in your step as you make your way down to the main floor. There most certainly is not a tremble shaking through you as your hand raises to rap on the door.
“Oh, Sunny~ I’m home!” You’re already laughing before you’ve even finished announcing yourself. The sound of bells chime with your laughter and no sooner do you notice their ringing are you being lifted high into the air. Arms envelope you as you’re pulled into their embrace, and their enormous faceplate nudges against yours, cheek to cheek, while the sound of dramatic kissy noises flood your ears.
“Oh, you are home! Oh, yes, you are!” Sundrop cooes at you, still peppering you with ‘kisses’, making sure not a single inch remains unscathed. “I’ve been waiting all day for you - yes, yes, yes!”
You laugh and squirm in their grip, but all it does is incite them into relentlessness.
“Sunny!” You squeal, “Down boy!”
Your laughter does nothing to dissuade them. It’s only their excitement that prompts them into a barrage of questions - wanting to hear just how you’ve been, whether the Glamrocks were being nice and if the staff were leaving you well enough alone. You try to indulge them all of their queries but they’ve got a thumb wheedling a dimple that’s revealed itself with all of your smiling; you can’t concentrate on anything but the feeling of their fingers teasing along your jaw.
“Oh, you are insatiable!” That earns you a giggle, and their dual-tracked rays spin hypnotically, alternating in directions. A tell of theirs: mischievous.
“You would barely believe me if I told you about it! After all, I’m oh-so-alone down here. Nobody to play with, nobody at all!” And then they’re back to the dramatics, draping themselves over your shoulders as they morose. They linger just long enough to threaten to drag you down with them until they graciously fall to their knees, their arms winding around your waist while they bury their faceplate into your, rather low, stomach. Their voice box buzzes as they lament all of their woes unto you and you jitter with the way that it tingles.
“Goodness gracious, you poor thing!” The only thing that could make Sundrop abandon the sweet expanse of your tummy was the soft cradle of your palms, your thumbs gently stroking their cheeks.  “Whatever will I do with you?”
“PlaAaAay with me?” Their voice is a little off kilter and you can tell someone’s enjoying having their cheeks stroked a little too much.
“Oh, how could I ever say no to such a pretty face,” you say and press the softest of kisses to their forehead (one certainly wouldn’t be enough to repay them for all of the kisses they had given you, oh, no, no, no.) You kindly overlook the embarrassing noise that Sundrop whines in response to your affection.
“Oh, OH~ I have just the thing!” Sundrop croones as they clamber to their full height. Their arm swipes your legs out from under you and you squawk indignantly as you’re whisked away. Wherever they’re off to, they can't get there quick enough (you are being jostled at an alarming rate.)
Sundrop nearly trambles over the plastic child-size dollhouse in their haste. “House! Because you came home!” They announce with the earnesty of someone quite proud of the connection they’ve made.
You don’t catch on right away - because, yeah, that is a house (were they making a joke?) Sundrop, ever the gentleman, places you delicately back onto your feet and holds open the barbie-pink door that doesn’t even reach your chest for you. Peering inside reveals that most of the appliances are painted onto the cheap plastic walls; the only furniture in the ‘house’ are a couple of pillows and a bean bag crammed into the corner. You’re pretty sure that’s a moondrop plushie thrown akimbo over the slump of the chair.
Sundrop startles you with a gentle, steady hand on the swell of your hip, and you knock your head against the plastic door frame. It doesn’t hurt, but you do make a yelp in surprise. Sundrop’s already fretting over you before you’ve even pulled away, their other hand coming to cup your head as they tut.
“Oh no, you poor thing! I- I just wanted to help you; make sure you were comfortable in our new home.”
Something about the way they had said it makes you flush and you stammer an excuse in response, “We gotta- uh, make sure we get that door up to code.” You have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about. It makes Sundrop happy, though, and you never do get tired of seeing a smile on their face.
Attempting to avoid any more mishaps, your knees hit the mats as you decide the safest way in is to simply crawl through the door. Sundrop still supports you with a hand on your hip and you try to ignore the soft touch of it as it runs along the swell of your ass as they move to retract it.
While you're making yourself comfortable with the bean bag and the pillows, Sundrop closes the door. You stop, wondering why they weren’t joining you.
“Oh, honey~ I’m home!”
You can’t stop yourself from smiling.
Sundrop works their way into the toy house with practiced ease and a minimal amount of contortion. Children must invite them in to play quite often, you think. While they are large, they still sit comfortably, even if their torso has to hunch slightly so they can sit upright.
“How was your day, honey?” It’s almost silly; you should have expected that you’d be playing mommy and daddy. Although, you weren’t quite yet sure who was who.
“Oooh, it was just delightful! The little ones were so wonderful today,” there’s an airy little sigh tacked on the end that piques your curiosity. You listen expectantly. “It just makes me so sad when they all go home.”
The yearning is almost palpable. You weren’t expecting this to be motivated by a desire to live a normal life outside of commercial entertainment. Before you can comfort them, Sundrop’s speaking again, leaning forward just enough to loom over you.
“I was thinking that it might be time we had a baby of our own, don’t you think?”
Your mouth gapes open as you're at a loss for words. All they do is stare expectantly as they wait for your response.
“I- well, I hate to break immersion, Sunny, but I think we’re lacking for props here.”
Sundrop titters, “Oh no, silly. We’ve got to put the baby in you first.”
“Y-yeah?” You can’t help the way your voice catches as you become aware of just how close these quarters are. “And, uh, how do you suppose we do that?”
“Don’t worry, you just have to come here, come here, and I’ll show you, I’ll show you.”
You have an idea of what comes next but your brain refuses to comprehend it. That it can’t be possible. But Sundrop has a gentle hold on you as they guide you, helping you get comfortable on your back as they shimmy even closer. Your mouth is so embarrassingly wet right now that you think you might choke on your own saliva in nervousness.
“S-Sunny,” you can’t help how quiet you are. It’s not like you’re afraid, but this- this is the closest they’ve probably ever been, and you have no idea what their intentions are yet.
“It’s alright,” they hush you. “I’ll take good care of you.”
Sundrop’s rays perk up at the sound of your whimper as their hands completely wrap around your thighs. The strain of your muscles produces a sharp hitch of your breath as Sundrop slowly stretches them back so they’re nearly flat against the mats. Sundrop moves in with the vacancy; they drape themselves over you, one arm tucking itself under the bean bag that elevates your head and the chill of steel presses against your cheek. The other they keep a hold of your thigh, while letting your other leg tuck itself along their hips. You can’t help the quiet sound that escapes you as you feel their groin rest against your dick.
It’s almost like they’re simulating, allowing you to get used to their size. Your whole body jerks at the thought, and Sundrop holds you closer as if in comfort.
They moan. They moan, and it startles you. “Oh, you are so tight,” they coo.
Your breath shakes as they gently rock against you. It’s almost already too much - you’re unbearably sensitive, most of which contributed to the vulnerable state you find yourself in. The barrier between you - your pants - does little to shield you from the sensations. It almost aggravates you and you despair at the possibility of how much further you could go, if only you’d ask.
Sundrop doesn’t stop. They don’t stop grinding against you, and they don’t stop talking to you. They are so unbelievably vocal. They moan, and grunt, and fucking whimper.
“You feel so good, darling.” Sundrop shifts slightly, as if they’re looking for more purchase. The next time they move it’s faster, rubbing against as much of your mound as possible.
“Sun - Sunny,” your voice is too quiet but they hear it so clearly.
“Yes, yes, you like this? Oh, I know you do.”
Your breath blooms along their chestplate, moistening the steel and allowing it to glide along your lips. Sundrop practically shudders at the sensation.
“I’ll fuck you so full, make sure that there’s no room for anything but you, me, and the baby.” It’s so corny it makes you groan. “Yeah, you’re going to be such a good little mom- my mommy. Are you going to be my mommy, little thing?”
Fuck no, you want to laugh. This is absolutely ridiculous.
You don’t have the heart to break their immersion.
When you realize you're giggling against their chest, you snort indignantly. It soon becomes a startled moan as Sundrop starts humping you so roughly that your bones almost ache.
“Oh, fuck, you’re taking me so well!” Sundrop wails. Their artificial breath sounds laboured, huffing as they pound into you. They’ve been deliberately grinding against your dick this entire time and it’s starting to build up inside of you.
“I- I’m so deep, I can s-see myself in your womb.”
“O-oh my god, Sunny, shut up.” It’s nice to laugh with them. Sunny knows they’re being ridiculous; they’re probably doing this on purpose at this point.
“C-can’t! You feel so good around me, baby. Uhh, oh.”
“Oh, sunshine- I’m close.” You are, too. You’re practically shaking. They’ve got your thighs stretched so wide it’s easy to flex your core, clench down and focus on cumming. They don’t let up on grinding against you.
They’re making a racket. As you draw near to your orgasm, you're fully committed to this play pretend, moaning and groaning, matching their loudness. Complete and utter theatrics. You’re practically shouting at one another.
“HuhHUHHH- Ohh, St-Starshine..”
“Yes, yes! Cum inside me, baby. Call me mommy.”
“Yes, mommy. Mommy, mommy, mommy.” It isn’t how you’d ever imagine cumming to, but it hits you so hard it knocks the air out of you. Your dick practically pulses as you wail while they continue to fuck into you.
“Oh, fuck,” all you can do is hold on while you ride it out.
“FUUCK-” Sundrop shouts and their hips sputter.
Each grind is punctuated by a groan as they taper off. They’re so fucking loud. They’ve got their hands bruising your hips as they hold themselves against you with the last bump and grind, and your dick weakly pulses as they let out their most ridiculous groan yet.
You both take a moment to catch your breath. Finally able to enjoy some silence. You don’t get to enjoy the post-coitus for long; you whine as they pull away, grumpy that they're taking their weight away.
“Oh my stars, they’re so beautiful!!” Sundrop gasps, pure elation.
What? No.
Your head is spinning, because what the fuck, and in your daze you just absently accept what’s being handed to you. Almost as if they’ve practiced this many times before, they help guide you into the proper position to cradle a newborn child. It’s so surreal that you’re panicking because your afraid they just handed you a commitment you weren’t ready for-
Held so tenderly to your breast is probably the lowest budget moondrop plush you’ve ever laid eyes on. You wouldn’t call it ugly (holy fuck who made this thing,) you can’t, it’s your-
You laugh so hard you burst into tears.

… so my head has also decided I need to do another pic of Epic Pizza Quest by having Glamrock Freddy holding out a proud Sundrop who is also presenting the crushed and leaking pizza box to the Daycare Supervisor like: Is this yours?
And a pic of Roxy reading aloud the worst sappy romantic fan fiction (one of her handlers mentioned it and OMG A STORY ABOUT ME!?!) to Moon who is sitting like a kid politely listening to Story Time.

Romantic headcanons about Sundrop, Moondrop, and Glamrock Freddy with gender neutral human reader?
🎩Glamrock-Freddy + Romantic HCs: 🎩
⭐No matter where you are in a crowd, he can always find you immediately. And the second he does, his whole face lights up, and he always gives you the biggest, happiest wave. It's equal parts adorable and embarrassing, because you just know you're both gonna get teased about it later. He's even done it while on stage! Monty has yet to let you live that one down.
⭐His favorite way to relax is sitting on the couch in his green room, with you in his lap. He doesn't mind what you do while you sit there: you can read, play games, whatever you'd like! He just likes holding you, arms wrapped around your waist with his head resting atop yours. He finds it even cuter when you fall asleep on him like that--until he realizes that he's trapped. (Well! This is his life now.)
⭐One of your favorite memories was the time you gave him a kiss on his nose and it made a squeaky-toy noise. And his ears were wiggling?? There are times when he can be so damn cute that it's dangerous. (Just know that you're the only person he'll let squeak his nose like that.) You two are so smitten with each other that it's downright sickening. Good!
☀️Sunnydrop + Romantic HCs:☀️
⭐His primary love language is 100% physical affection. He's always looking for excuses to touch you in whatever ways he can--giving you hugs, putting an arm around your shoulders or waist, holding your hand (he likes doing that cute arm-swingy thing), etc, etc. Sun doesn't care if you're in front of the kids, staff, whoever. He'll hang all over you if you let him! (And he'll pout if you don't.)
⭐He also really loves giving you gifts. Especially if it's something he's made himself. Friendship bracelets, drawings and paintings, hand-made cards--and if you ever made him anything? Let's just say, if he had the ability to cry, he'd be sobbing like a baby. He keeps every single thing you've ever given him safely tucked away in his room, in a spot where only he (and Moon) know about.
⭐Pet-names go straight to his heart. "Sunny," of course, is one of his personal favorites, but he absolutely melts when you call him things like: sweetheart, honey, baby, darling, etc, etc. His nicknames for you are more around the lines of: sun-shine/light/beam, dewdrop, and honeydew! They're cute, sappy, and (mostly) themed after himself. (Because it's more sentimental that way!)
🌙Moondrop + Romantic HCs:🌙
⭐The man is like a cat in that he likes to leave you gifts on your "doorstep" (i.e.: outside your office, on your desk, and other similar places). Mostly his own merch, because he's a possessive little shit, but also snacks, drinks, medicine--anything he thinks you might like or want. After all, he keeps watch over you, so he knows when and what you might be in need of.
⭐Cuddling is very rare, but once you manage to wrangle him into it, he's not letting you go, no matter how badly you have to pee. He'll wrap his whole body around you, tangling his legs with yours and carding his fingers through your hair while he hums lullabies. The amount of times you've fallen asleep like that is...a little embarrassing. But it's really hard not to, when he makes it so easy!
⭐He's got a low-key high-key weakness for listening to your heart-beat. Something about the sound of it is just so...soothing to him. A little reminder that you're actually there with him, and not just a figment of his imagination, or some sort of dream. That, and he thinks the way your pulse flutters whenever he so much as looks at you is adorable. Such a precious little thing~...

au of the knight guard ive labeled day guard au. Basically--backspace the entire KGA and shove Mike into the Pizza Plex instead. Also where he hits it off with Sunny and becomes the guard for the daycare. Yeah idk the idea just seemed cute and sappy 8>
1. “CRAYONS, OFFICER MIKE?” “Inside voice, Sunny? And manners?” “crayonsofficermikePLEASE.” “Pfft--”
2. “Either go back and wait for me in the Day Care or loosen the grip, Sundrop. I don’t need ‘strangled by celestial animatronic’ on my headstone.” “XC !!”
3. “Over stimulation day fella?” *nod* “Want me to turn off the lights and put on a movie for the tikes?” “...” *nod* “Alright, Finding Nemo it is.”

I have a request: Sundrop x child reader: the plot: a 7 year old girl was abandoned at the pizzaplex after being abused by her parents, she found a daycare pass on the floor, she entered the daycare and met sun, while playing with him, she told him about what her parents did to her, and now she desperately wants to stay with sun for the rest of her life
👏OKAY
Damn I enjoyed writing this. Enjoy it yo :)
Reblogs are appreciated! Inspired by @t-z-random ;) it’s not gonna be like a whole story like yours but I still love yours ayo Warnings: Mentions of abuse and child abandonment, slight spoilers, not proofread, slight fluff idk, sliiighht yandere?? It was your seventh birthday. You were supposed to be happy on your birthday, supposed to be having fun at your favourite place with your friends with you. And yet you were with your mother at the park for tea with her friends, though you weren't allowed anything but a sandwich and you definitely weren't allowed on the playground thanks to your 'awful behaviour'.
You sat quietly next to your mother as you ate your sandwich. You looked wistfully over at the other children playing on the swings nearby. You longed to join them and be free. You were just a young child, it should’ve been your right. Free from your troubles. Free from this hell…
You looked over at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex wistfully. You had always wanted to go there since you saw a commercial for it on the television a few years back. But of course you would never get to go, not with your parents. You were always just shoved into your room, crying and clinging on to your stuffed parrot plush, the only thing you had that your parents hadn’t taken away.
You had mentioned to your mother and father earlier that it was your birthday, but your father shoved you away and told your mother to bring you to her event to get you out of his way. So into the car you were pulled, and whisked off to the park to just sit with your mother for your entire special day.
True, your parents had never cared about your birthday. They just saw it as the day you got old and became more and more of a mistake. But it was horrible being pushed around and ignored your whole life. You showed your parents love and gratitude, and got nothing back.
Your whole life, your parents had never cared about you. If you asked for something so much as a small candy bar, they’d go on a rampage about how you were so ungrateful, selfish and bratty. No matter how hard you tried, there was nothing you could do to earn their love.
Suddenly everyone started to get up. The tea had finished. You stuffed your sandwich into your mouth, and your mother grabbed her bag and then grabbed your hand. You tried to keep up with her so her grip wouldn’t hurt you. Apparently something happened between her and one of her sappy friends, because she was walking more briskly than usual.
She reached the car and you climbed in and into your car seat. She ignored the task of buckling your seatbelt and opened the driver’s door. You didn’t know how to do it yourself and could only hold on for dear life to the seat buckles as you were shaken about in the back. After a boring while, the car stopped.
You stared down at your shoes as your mother tightened her grip on your arm and pulled you out of the car towards the front door. You stumbled on the steps and she dug her nails in and hauled you up. Tears pricked your eyes as you were let go and fell onto the rug in the living room. Your mother went into the next room and started talking to your father about something you couldn’t hear.
You pulled yourself up on your knees and felt a sharp pain shoot through your lower arm. You realised you had cut yourself on the sharp part of a piece of glass on the floor, alongside the rubbish that was always lying around the house. You stiffened with the pain, but decided not to tell your parents. They would just say to ‘walk it off’ anyway.
Your mother came into the room ant motioned for you to follow without saying a word. She went back to the car and opened the door for you. Oh, great, another bumpy, dangerous ride in the car to who knows what your mother needed to do. She never said a word to you about it.
You sat in your seat as you waited for your parents to leave the house. You did not dare leave to ask what you needed to do, having learned years ago not to speak unless you were spoken to. It was in these times that you were left waiting where you had a chance to think. Think about what had happened earlier. About why your parents hated you so much. About how you could escape your life, if you could.
Your mother and father had gotten what they needed and come back to the car. They piled in, and you tried desperately to buckle yourself in, which proved pointless, for you were too naive to understand the buttons. Hell, your parents didn’t even allow you to go to school if you had the courage to ask for ‘such a pointless thing for you to do’.
After a few hours you realised that your parents were not taking you to the daycare like you first thought, as it was only a few kilometres away from home. Your mother was yelling at your father about something along the lines of ‘made my decision’ and ‘dont care about you’. You ignored these usual screams and looked out the window instead. The roar of the car pushed down the arguing into the serenity of your imagination.
The car eventually stopped, and you looked round to lock eyes with your mother. She spoke with the most icy venom in her voice. “Get out, [y/n].” Your mind went into auto, immediately doing what your mother said. Your tiny feet hit the ground as you looked up at your mother in confusion. This place wasn’t anywhere you remembered. Then suddenly you realised where you were.
It was the park where your mother had brought you earlier in the day to have tea with her friends! You whipped around to stare at the Pizzaplex across the road, and in shock and delight, your mother directed you towards the crossing nearby. She did care! She was going to take you to the Pizzaplex and you would, for the first time, actually have fun!
She grabbed your hand at the crossing and as you stumbled along, dreaming of what you were going to do, your happy thoughts were interrupted by a look at your mother’s disgruntled face. Clearly she didn’t want to be here, doing this, meaning that maybe this wasn’t at all a dream-like experience. She stopped at a booth before the turnstiles and started talking to the administrator.
You looked through the glass of the turnstiles at the children with their parents lining up at the atrium or choosing plushies in the gift shops. They all looked so happy.. and you could finally join them! Maybe make a friend or two! Be a kid…
Your mother now held a pass in her hand. She grabbed yours with her free hand and went through the turnstiles. You didn’t dare move towards the shops, afraid your mother might take it as disobedience and turn around and take you straight back home. Oh, the lights and colours! The sounds of joyful children! This was all so new and you wanted to stay forever, you thought as your mother entered one of the elevators.
As it took you up with a decisive humming sound, your mother took something out of her bag. It was your parrot plush. You couldn’t believe it. She actually brought your best friend for you! Maybe she really had changed. She tossed it at you and you tried to catch it but missed, then picked it up and hugged it close to your chest, smiling up at your mother, who just rolled her eyes and looked straight ahead.
The elevator stopped, and you entered into an even wilder variety of lights and colours and smells than in the main entrance. It was a giant load for a small child to take in, and as you did, you looked around, only to find that your mother had not left the elevator, which was now closing and going back down. Your heart plummeted.
So this was what it was all along. Your mother had not changed her heart, nor your father. She had brought you here, the land of your dreams, deceiving you, just to abandon you. After all these years of pain, finally abandoned. Hot tears started running down your cheeks. There may have been hundreds of people around you, but you were truly alone. You ran back to the atrium in panic. There was no way you could stay up here, not now. You pressed the down button in the hopes to catch your mother before she left.
As the elevator doors opened, a few other people entered as well as you, but none paid mind to you, as who would notice a small child shaking, sobbing in the corner. You dashed out of there as soon as it reached the ground floor. You ran to the balcony and looked out, desperately searching for your mother’s head in the wave of people. But she was nowhere to be seen.
You suddenly remembered the wound on your arm. It had not stopped bleeding, and now that you weren’t distracted by something, it hurt. A lot. You looked around, but all of a sudden you couldn’t bring yourself to ask anyone. You hugged yourself and stared down at the floor. You then noticed that there was a card on the ground. It had a pretty picture of a sun person and a moon person on it. It read ‘daycare pass’.
Oh, great. The only other place you had ever been allowed to go other than home. Daycares. You hated daycares. Every kid always bullied you for being so small for your age, and the daycare attendant didn’t care about anything anyone did. Although, it was a place for you to have some peace from your usual horrible life. So you looked around for what it might be for.
You spotted it almost immediately; a big colourful sign that read ‘Superstar Daycare Pickup’ and pointed to a set of red doors to the right on the balcony. You picked up the daycare pass and walked up to the doors. There was no one around, so you clutched your arm andlet yourself in. Maybe you could stay here for a while. You had no other place to go, after all.
You walked through a dimly lit room with a fountain at the centre and the shutter door opened to reveal a giant play area filled with children screaming and laughing. This was like no other daycare your parents had ever sent you before. There was a slide to get into the actual daycare, but nearby that was a security guard. He had a stern look on his face as he called all the children to line up to go in. You quickly got in line, hoping he didn’t regard you.
He kept the line flowing, kids falling down the slide one after the other, until it came to you. You quickly climbed in so as not to draw attention to anything about you. Your drab pink shirt and matching skirt, not to mention the deep cut on your arm. You shuffled around into a sitting position and pushed yourself. The sliding finished as soon as it had started. You launched into a ball pit that was waiting for you at the end.
You looked around the daycare. There was a giant jungle gym, two ball pits, an art station and a big desk with a lady at it. And in the centre was a giant yellow jester robot with plates around his face and a permanent smile on the faceplate. He had bells on his wrists and ankles that jingled as he moved around, chatting to the children around him. He suddenly turned your way and looked straight at you.
You stiffened, but before you could do anything, he had run up beside you. “Hello, new friend! I didn’t see you come in!” You began to panic as he jumped up and down in front of you. You had never had the full attention of anyone before. You backed up a little, and the sun animatronic stood up straight. “Friend? Are you okay?”
You slowly nodded, and, not knowing why, you took his hand. Confused, he looked down at you, then suddenly froze. Oh my gosh, you’re HURT!!!” The sudden scream made you jump, and he swept you up in his arms and rushed off to a corner of the daycare that was set up as a first aid station, with a hand drawn symbol on the table.
He gently (gently in a panicked way) set you down and bustled around, grabbing a roll of bandage and pulling up a chair for you. “Oh my god oh my god how did this happen.. the daycare is safe, the daycare is safe.. they don’t need to know..”
Instinctively you pulled away from the sun animatronic as he leaned forward to wrap your arm. He noticed your distress and pulled back again. ”Friend? You need to let me bandage your hurt!” You didn’t want him to touch you, he might find out about a more serious injury you wanted no one to know about. You shook your head, and the jester clutched his plate in panic. “C’mon!! Uh, uhh, I have candy! You want candy!?”
Your eyes widened at the word ‘candy’. The jester produced a small round candy with a red yellow wrapper with gold edges. He held it out to you and you took it in wonder. You had never had anything like chocolate or lollies in your life. The jester watched you gaze at it. “Okay! Now will you let me tend to your arm?”
You looked at the ground. You still weren’t entirely sure you trusted the animatronic yet. Your life was a big twist of pain and lies, and you found it hard to trust anyone anymore. The sun gazed at you intently, waiting for an answer. You slowly unwrapped the candy and popped it into your mouth. It had a distinct lemon taste and gave you a sudden energy boost. You held out a shaky arm and the sun brightened and started wrapping it.
You started trembling in fright as he neared closer to your upper arm. The sun noticed and ceased moving the bandage. It was clear something else was up, something you didn’t want him to know. He tilted his head to the side and more gently now, continued wrapping your arm. As he tied up the end, he noticed a few bruises poking from under your sleeve.
”That’s… that’s a handprint…”
You shrank back, shocked that he had found out so quickly. The animatronic was now the one to tremble as he looked up at you. That was why he hadn’t see you come in. Because you didn’t want anyone to. Because they would just take you back to those awful, terrible people who harmed you. But he wasn’t going to let that happen.
And on the other side, you had no other place to go. Your parents deceived you in the most awful way, then abandoned you with absolutely nothing. And this sun animatronic was the first person who had ever been nice to you, offering you candy and treating your wound.
You stood up and pulled the giant sun into a hug. He startled, but soon embraced you as well. He understood, he really did. And as he carried you away to do something else together, he heard you utter a soft whisper.
“Stay with me..”

“Jack....”  The sundrop replied,  her arms raising to pull him in closer.  Despite his’chilly’ exterior he held such warmth within.   Rapunzel adored that about him  -- but there was so much more.  Like his mischievous smile,  and his laugh....  OH and she couldn’t forget about those icy blue eyes of his,  the ones she constantly found herself getting lost in.
It was pathetically sappy how much she loved him and she’d tell him that over and over again.   She wasn’t afraid of expressing her feelings...  knowing that he felt the same only made her MORE verbally affectionate  (and physically, if it was up to her she’d have him trapped in an embrace for HOURS)
“I love you too...  more than you’ll ever know”
