Saurian dragon naturally live to around 300-350 years and never stop growing during that life time. Dragons older than 400 are often demi-gods or able to live longer with the help of magical items!
Here’s a concept I made for dragon cities or big flight dens as well!
Basically a big wide center path for elders and ancients, with a raised walk way for young and mature adults, then some smaller bridges and platforms for juveniles to hop and glide across! This way the bigger and older dragons are in no danger of trampling the smaller ones. Juveniles are the only ones allowed to fly in crowded areas, as long as they keep themselves above other dragons.
Interiors are much the same, with floors being split between age and size classes. The bigger dragons are usually at the center, with mid sized dragons at an upper level and more against the walls, while the small ones usually have bridges and hammocks closer to the celling Entryways are usually oval to accommodate wings, and are often cover with a few drapes of heavy fabric or leather to keep out cold and wind, and to muffle sound. These can either be pushed aside with a wing or tied to the side of the entryway to allow passage.
Will probably make a more clear and official post about the life span of saurian dragons, but thought this could be a nice visualizer in the meanwhile :D
I was so excited to see Lumine in a new outfit especially one that is part of the culture of the nation.
I was also so happy to have a little baby companion join me on my journey. I didn’t know what to name them so I just named it after my dog, now it’s like my real fur baby is joining me on my genshin quest
So yeah, it’s clear I’m having a good time in the new nation of Natlan
Attack Nine is continues the friendly fire, and it's been far too long since I've last drawn a dino. He belongs to @\SkeletAlpha, and THIS is the guy who is technically Chako's boss
I got inspired by @pomellon's Saurian AU and this post in particular and drew an addendum (with permission). I've been suffering from Dad!Ze and Dad!Chilled brainrot for the longest time and that piece dissolved my molecular bonds.
In grayscale because it's been a while, plus I didn't know what colours to make Cheesy's egg. (I tried really hard to make Cheesy the wettest, most pathetic hatchling you've ever seen.)
The thing about ream seeing sapnap hatching was more of a question about how dragons view siblings and such hehhe. to me its like a childhood friends to lovers type of thing, but I was just wondering: if dragons hatch close to each other/ live in the same flight since they were born, do they see themselves as sibling as humans do? Or is the culture different considering all dragons start out the same and then grow in different features unrelated to the parents? sorry if it's a bit of a weird question XD I'm just really into them and thank you for answering earlier !!! ( you don't have to answer this if its too weird btw /nf)
Thanks for clarifying, and no worries at all! The phrasing in the last ask just made me confused and fandom spaces tend to be weird about age gaps now days so I got a lil worried XD
Sibling relationships between saurian dragons aren't quite the same as for humans. Bonds are still needed to grow close relationships, and while they form more frequently and are usually stronger between dragons who share blood they're still not guaranteed. Should a parent and child, or siblings, not share a bond, they usually don't grow very close. But a base bond shared between wingmates can definitely be seen as a strong platonic familial bond, related by blood or not.
Two dragons who bond early in life might definitely grow up to view each other as siblings, but they're just as likely to just see each other as just friends or something more in the future. Should two dragons be related they're also able to smell that they share blood, which makes them uninterested in becoming anything more than wingmates.
In Dream and Sapnap's case I think Dream viewed Sapnap as a younger sibling in the beginning and only realised that wasn't what he was feeling when Sapnap grew older and became talons with Punz. That was kind of an oh moment for him. On the other hand I think Sapnap always admired and had a little bit of a crush on Dream, but he wasn't really able to put that feeling into words until much later.
George and Punz are kind of similar actually, since they originate from the same flight and hatched just a couple of months apart, but they have always been pretty clear they're best friends. I can honestly see them promising to be each others' talons and even hearts when they were just hatchlings, just how little kids promise they will marry their best friend without really know what that means other than that they really like each other uvu
I hate having questions about Dragon's Dogma 2 bc whenever I google anything, I either get AI generated slop, slop articles with vague or inaccurate information written by people who haven't played the game, or actually helpful forum posts from players who are just as frustrated as I am.
So like. Is there a saurian variation in the game that has long quills like a porcupine?? I remember finding some and then using all those quills in gear enhancing, so I don't have any items I can just google to find out what the monster's called or where I can find more.
I haven't completed A New Godsway (I know its a point of no return) but I've explored basically everywhere. I've also cleared the Seafloor Shrine, so maybe I found them there??
It's only been a few days into Natlan but it still gives me Diddy Kong Racing. But so far Archon Quest is 8/10. I kind of wanted them to fail and get stuck in the Night Kingdom like in DA: Origins we got stuck in the Fade and were there for a while.
I think it's interesting we've finally got more people whose skin colour is a bit darker than a latte but they're still not Black. Pacal is questionable (3 afro combs is excessive) but not good enough.
