HP Next Generation Appreciation Week 2024 - Day 4: Favorite Ships of Other People's OCs
Hey everyone! Hope the weekend went well! I was originally not going to cover the last two days, but I've recovered enough from a crappy start to the day to humor the rest of the entries for @endlessly-cursed's HP Next Gen Appreciation Week! Day 4's entry was dedicated to ships of other people's OCs that you like.
I was able to think of the ship Seyford by @endlessly-cursed and @mjs-oc-corner. Harry x Savanah stand out to me because they're a absolutely sweet and precious pairing with sentiments that remind me much of Alybri, my own ship with Mo involving Brian and Alyssa, another of her OCs. They seem to enjoy much of the similar energies while both being amazing OC x OC ships in their own right.

Here's a sneak peek of the next chapter of Psyched On U.
“Eat with us.” Grey smiled warmly at the young restaurateur, his voice fatherly and friendly.
“I -” Zane hesitated, his eyes scanning the familiar faces of NYPD officials seated around the table. They were regular patrons at his restaurant, and he had been introduced to Grey and West earlier. The arrival of the Asian woman with the white man in Army dress blues intrigued him; his curiosity was evident on his face. Zane assumed the Army man was also a cop. But the woman ... he found himself particularly drawn to her, subtly indicating his interest as he placed a hand on the top of her chair.
“Join us for lunch, son,” Wilder urged Zane, the NYPD captain's insistent tone firm and persuasive. “That’s an order.”
Zane considered the invitation, his gaze flickering back to Sava. Motioning a passing waitress over, he swiftly delegated tasks with steel-cut precision to ensure his restaurant ran smoothly in his absence. Flashing Sava a charming smile, he pulled out the empty seat beside her and sat down. “How could I say no?”
Tim's expression soured as he scrutinized Zane getting chummy with his wife. Sava responded with a playful scoff, rolling her eyes at Tim before flashing the restaurateur a kind smile. "Don’t mind him, he’s a little gruff."
Zane’s interest was further piqued by Tim and Sava’s exchange, his brows furrowing curiously. “I didn’t catch your name.”
“I’m Savannah Wu but call me Sava. I’m an LAPD detective, although I sometimes double as a hostage negotiator, and this is my husband Tim.” She reached for Tim’s left hand on the table and squeezed it three times, then intimately laced her fingers together with his. Though her actions presented as reassuring Tim of jealousy, it was more for her benefit than for his; she needed his touch to ground her.

I'm a travel planner. These 5 US destinations are my top recommendations right now.
New Post has been published on https://sa7ab.info/2024/08/11/im-a-travel-planner-these-5-us-destinations-are-my-top-recommendations-right-now-2/
I'm a travel planner. These 5 US destinations are my top recommendations right now.
People may not think to visit Milwaukee. Chris LaBasco/ShutterstockI'm a travel planner, and there are so many US destinations my clients are loving right now.Milkwakee is one of my favorite spots in the Midwest, and Newport is a great East Coast trip.Out West, there's the stunning Sedona, and Savannah is an underrated Southern town.As a travel planner, I book my fair share of national-park stays and Disney vacations, but my clients have also been loving some less advertised US destinations. If you're looking for a more under-the-radar spot for a family trip or romantic getaway, the States has plenty of low-key cities to choose from. Here are some of my favorites right now.Milwaukee is a Midwest gem.Milwaukee's Mitchell Park Domes is truly beautiful. Kelly Ermis/ShutterstockThe Wisconsin city is located on Lake Michigan's western shore, less than two hours from Chicago. For outdoorsy types, you can hit up Bradford Beach or hike and bike at Lakeshore State Park. If you like beer, tour some local breweries — Urban Harvest, Miller Brewing Company, Milwaukee Brewing Co. — and taste their offerings. Baseball fans can even spend a day tailgating and catch a Brewers game at American Family Field. Milwaukee has an expansive art museum and a spectacular zoo. The greenhouses at Mitchell Park Domes also showcase beautiful flowers and plants. Head west to experience the glorious Sedona.Sedona is a great destination for outdoorsy folks. suippi/ShutterstockLocated about two hours from Phoenix, Sedona is a nature-lover's paradise. The area's gorgeous red-colored rocks offer countless hiking opportunities, including braving Bell Rock butte. For more active adventures, there are great places to kayak and mountain bike, or you can head to one of the supernatural vortexes (energy hot spots) Sedona is known for. The natural water slide at Slide Rock State Park is a unique Arizona attraction, and Oak Creek is a gorgeous place to swim. If you're really brave, you can book a Pink Jeep Tour to see more of the nearby jaw-dropping sights while basically hanging off the cliffs. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is always at the top of my list, followed by an Old West chuckwagon dinner at Blazin' M Ranch. Downtown Sedona also has a plethora of retail and restaurant options, including the famous Cowboy Club.San Juan is a tropical destination that doesn't require a passport.Puerto Rico is a US territory. Sean Pavone/ShutterstockSan Juan is a great mix of beach fun and historical sightseeing. Plus, since Puerto Rico is a US territory, US citizens don't need a passport to visit.Visiting Old San Juan feels like taking a trip back in time. I suggest booking a tour that takes you to Capilla del Cristo, Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery, and the San Juan Cathedral.Stay at one of the premier beach spots, like Hilton's El Conquistador Resort. And if you're looking for a thrill, book a snorkeling excursion at Icacos Island, hike through rainforests to search for waterfalls, or find a spot to go ziplining. My favorite experience, which cannot be missed, is kayaking to Laguna Grande at night to see spectacular bioluminescent water.Savannah has endless opportunities for fun, food, and relaxation.Savannah has some of the prettiest parks to stroll in. Sean Pavone/ShutterstockThe best time to visit Savannah, Georgia, is in the spring or fall when the weather is milder.Take some time to stroll the shops of River Street or hop on one of the city's famous ghost tours — Savannah is considered one of the most haunted cities in America. One of my favorite ways to see the city is by riverboat cruise, and if you have time, take a day trip to the lovely Tybee Island.History and architecture buffs should also explore the Olde Pink House, Forsyth Park, and the gorgeous homes on Jones Street.Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room, which serves up southern delicacies, is the best place to grab lunch. Then, you can stroll the riverfront to grab a treat or drink.Newport is an East Coast delight.Newport is a charming coastal town. Marianne Campolongo/ShutterstockNewport, Rhode Island, is a mix of natural beauty, history, and stunning architecture — be sure to visit some of the town's historic mansions.I highly recommend renting a car and driving down the gorgeous Ocean Drive coastal road. But the city also offers Trolley Tours if you want to stick to the inland sights. You can also take in the views from the 3.5-mile Newport Cliff Walk or book a thrilling rail-bike tour. The town has many great restaurants, including The Mooring and Bar 'Cino. But if you can't choose, just book a food tour. There are also a number of nearby wineries and breweries, including Newport Vineyard and Greenvale, to check out.

Weekend Finalists: Ram Tap, Ocala, Pine Top, &, Carolina
Some Team In members were out enjoying the actions in people in Carolina, and it was undoubtedly an exciting weekend with plenty of animal and horse duos coming out solid, especially the ladies this weekend! Take a look at EN’s cover around if you want to watch all of the action from Carolina this past weekend.
However, Carolina was n’t the only event running this weekend, and we definitely ȿaw some strong performances and large divisions at Ram Tap, Ocala, and Pine Top aȿ well.
We take a moment to thank all of our Weekend Victors, as well as Penny Goddard and Fernhill On The Rocks, who dipped into the youth with an 18. 6 overall to win the Open Novice at Carolina.
Ram Tap National H. Ƭ. ( Fresno, CA )] Website]]Scoring]
We’ve seen James Alliston and Alliston Equestrian’s Karma’s ( Escudo II – Travita, by Lavita ) titles at the top of the ranking lot over the last time, with a win at the Twin Rivers Fall International CCI4- S in September, and a win at The Celebration at Rebecca Farm’s CCI4- L in July. We saw them win the Advanced at Ram Tap this weekend, marking their second victory this time now, and James and Karma have kept their position at the top going into this year.
” It was a great event here at Ram Tap, with beautiful courses and footing”, James reflected. Terry Hilst and the Ram Tap crew are most appreciated.
Being able to work at events with such fantastic courses and foundation is essential in the run-up to the 5* season. James is excited about how she is feeling as the function nears its conclusion and plans to use Kentucky as Karma’s first 5* occasion this spring.
” I’m hoping to accomplish Kentucky with Karma”, James stated. ” She’s feeling reallყ good! In the next week, I’ll get working on]a touch of ] anything! I’m hoping that Northern California’s weather will be dried for a few weeks so I can work on my fitness.
In a few months before their anticipateḑ vacation to Kentucky, James and Karma will visit Twin Rivers.

Grace E. Bradford passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Savannah, Ga. after a prolonged illness.
Grace was born on January 14, 1929, in Berwick, Pennsylvania to Olen Arthur and Florence Irene (Briggum) Hummel.

Background
Hometown
Harry grew up in the ancestral home of Seymour manor. It was a quaint house with everything a man his age could’ve wanted. He grew up with older and younger sisters, being the only son of the family, much like his ancestor Jesse Seymour. His home, though, was Inverness.
Family
Mother: Marsali Seymour, neé Warleggan
A proud Scottish woman, she grew up in Edinburgh and though she didn’t strongly despise the English, she wasn’t a fan either. But it all changed when she met pureblood Isaiah Seymour, from a prolific family. She wasn’t thrilled by his presence at first, but speaking to him and discovering his sweet and charming demeanour made her fall for him. They eventually married and had five children: Brianna, born in 1993, Elsa, born in 1996, Harry and Fiona, born in 2001 and Daphne, born in 2003
Father: Isaiah Donal Seymour
Descended from Jesse Seymour through Florence Seymour, he was a sweet and charismatic young man with a love to help people and was ahead of his time. He met his future wife Marsali Warleggan after graduating Hogwarts, and was awestruck by her. The pair, though she was reluctant at first, eventually fell in love and married, having four daughters and a son.
Sister: Brianna Claude Seymour
The eldest of the sisters, she always felt responsible for her siblings and though her parents were very much present, she grew up distant and a self-sacrificing woman who kept to herself. She loves Harry very much and is his role model. She was sorted into Ravenclaw
Elsa Marie Seymour
A diva, she loved fashion and always wanted to be a model, and trained herself from a young age to one day work with Andre Egwu, which distanced herself from her family, though she loved them with all of herself.
Fiona Elizabeth Seymour
An over-achiever, she always wanted to be perfect, flawless, untouchable, for she thought the need to be more than her fortune or being ‘the sister of’ or ‘the daughter of’ and is her worst judge and very hard on herself. Harry tries to be supportive with his sister, but she’s rather cold and aloof, rarely speaking her mind.
Daphne Lillian Seymour
The youngest of the bunch, she grew up sheltered and spoiled, for she was born a Squib. She was instead sent to St. Paul’s, where she learnt all about the modernisation and brought it to her house. She grew up with expensive taste, much like her sister Elsa. Harry is very protective of his sister and always tries to be a good brother, but has a hard time connecting with her.

After the Q fiasco, they considered Harry for her until they found out his heart was someone else’s. He was one of the few people who kept contact with Diana after the scandal and who ardently defended her.
Rivals: NA, why would you want to antagonize this angel?!

I'm a travel planner. These 5 US destinations are my top recommendations right now.
New Post has been published on https://sa7ab.info/2024/08/11/im-a-travel-planner-these-5-us-destinations-are-my-top-recommendations-right-now/
I'm a travel planner.

The mother of Star Hobson, the 16-month toddler who was murdered at the hands of her “callous and cruel” girlfriend, has had her sentence for allowing the death increased from eight to 12-years by the Court of Appeal.
Frankie Smith was convicted of allowing Savannah Brockhill to abuse and eventually kill her daughter in September 2020.She was jailed for eight years but the Attorney General, Suella Braverman QC, referred the case to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Scheme, following a public outcry over the length of the sentence.
Following a hearing on Tuesday morning, three Appeal Court judges ruled that the original sentence had been too lenient and said Smith should be given a term of 12-years rather than eight. She will have to serve half of the sentence before she will be released.
The Court of Appeal was told the original trial judge had been wrong to accept as a mitigating factor the fact Smith had lost her daughter and would have to live with the fact for the rest of her life.
Setting out the case for the Attorney General, Tom Little QC told the court that on numerous occasions Smith had failed to seek medical help for her daughter when she suffered injuries at the hands of Brockhill.
The court heard that when Star was eventually beaten to death there was an “inexcusable” 11 minute delay in calling the emergency services.
Mr Little said: "This was not a case where the offender was so racked with guilt and pleaded guilty at the very first opportunity, remorseful from the outset about the loss.”
Dame Victoria Sharp, President of the Queen's Bench Division, said the evidence showed that Smith had treated Star with such “cruelty and disregard” that this was not a case in which any weight could be given to her daughter’s loss as a mitigating factor.
In a statement issued after the judgement, the Attorney General said: “This is a tragic and extremely upsetting case and my thoughts are with all those who loved Star Hobson.
“This case involved prolonged and multiple cruelty and neglect, deliberate disregard, and a failure to take any steps to protect or seek assistance for her before and after her murder.
“No sentence can reverse this tragedy, but I welcome the decision to reflect the gravity of this offending by increasing the sentence today.”
'Little to be said in mitigation'
Dame Victoria, sitting with Mr Justice Sweeney and Mr Justice Jeremy Baker, found that the sentencing judge had been wrong to reduce Smith’s sentence from the starting of nine years and said in fact such were the aggravating features that it should be extended further.
Dame Victoria said: “There was little, if any, to be said in mitigation. In our judgment no less a sentence than 12 years would meet the justice of this case.”
The judge said Star was “particularly vulnerable due to her very young age”, and that “self-evidently, Miss Smith was in a position of trust”.
Smith, who was said to have a low IQ, appeared at the Court of Appeal in London on Tuesday via video-link from HMP New Hall, wearing a grey top.
Last year, Bradford Crown Court heard how Star was subjected to months of abuse at the hands of Brockhill and Smith before she was eventually killed.
Sickening videos were shown to the jury showing Brockhill savagely beating the toddler, leaving her with a litany of injuries.
But the Court of Appeal was told Smith had not attempted to seek medical help for her daughter even when it was clear she was in pain and was covered in bruises.
She also lied to social workers and police telling them any injuries had been the result of accidents.A review into the case is currently underway after it emerged that social services were repeatedly warned about Star's treatment, but failed to act.
After she died, a post-mortem revealed that a major vein in her abdomen had been lacerated, there was a split to the liver, damage to fatty areas of the bowel and bruising to the lungs and pancreas.
Medics concluded that such catastrophic internal injuries could have only been caused by severe blows either in the form of punching, stamping or kicking to the stomach.
