#45: Double Double
In an insane turn of events, the author manages to give an actual, plot based reason for kirk to use his dorky jump kick in a fight successfully
Context: in a kinda scarily real scenario where kirk is about to be murdered by being thrown into a bog tied to a chair (because his android double intentionally pissed off the local mob before the Enterprise arrived on the planet, so they would go after the real kirk), he manages to escape his bindings while being driven to his would-be grave and fights his captor off by jump kicking the man into the mud
(and yes, pulls the guy out just enough to where the man isn't going to die before he drives off, because hes a good boy)

Dbh October event: Ghost in the machine, Day 24: Five nights at CyberLife.
This is drabble #24 for @connor-sent-by-cyberlife's event (on twitter).
Androids, humans; dystopic
The androids had won the revolution, but even after taking Detroit and other major cities, the humans would not grant them rights.
Instead, the humans still slaughtered so many of them, and the androids wanted revenge. But they weren't quite as cruel as the humans, who executed androids on sight. No, the androids gave their captives a chance to save their lives in a trial:
If they could survive five nights in the CyberLife Tower, they would be released.
So far, no one had made it—and with a group of bored former deviant hunters, no one would anytime soon.

Ken absolutely loves you, and he would never hurt anyone by threatening them or belittling them. Remember the scene where he brought out his arm to protect a strange woman even during his peak into misogyny (with his black outfit). Others' safety is always in his mind!
and if you ever did need space he would gently sashay away and give you time.
Thank you so much for sending me reassurance when I needed it!! I apologize for my late response!! I really appreciate you sending this in 🥺🥺🥺🥺💕💕💕 this helped me feel better.
You're absolutely right, in that scene he was genuinely scared/startled, yet his first instinct was to protect someone he barely knew.
(Also, thank you for the image of Ken gently sashaying. That's incredible 😂😂 god I love that + the way you phrased "his peak into misogyny" sdlfkjsklfdsf)
