Happy 12 Days of Fandom! (Go here for more information, and please jump in and join the celebration.)

For Day 1, I want to recommend this video, Secrets, by @n0connections. I don't think fanvids get enough eyes on them, and I am always so impressed by them.

This one is fantastic. I love how it has everyone in town in it. I love how the music and the show's dialogue interact. All the cuts seem perfectly timed. Just go watch it.

I'm going to embed this to grab attention (and so you can click through and add it to any playlists there), but please, please go to the AO3 link and give some kudos and comments too.

I feel like this post needs a little something at the end to send you off with. Okay, well, free advice for those with ADHD: build yourself a music video playlist (there are a bunch of nice Schitt's Creek fanvids on youtube—I'm happy to point you at some) and use them for little bursts of dopamine. When you're having trouble switching tasks or getting started on something, play yourself a little SC video to get your brain in gear and your energy going.

Festivids recs

As usual, Festivids is bringing me so much joy on a cold winter morning, my little fannish heart is rejoicing! Here are some faves this year...

And Just Turn Off the Lights (BBC Ghosts) by stardust_rain - So sweet and funny, full of character moments and found family.

In This House (BBC Ghosts) by croissantkatie- A softer, more serious look at Ghosts, but just as full of love and found family. Watching Allison and Mike slowly fall in love with Button House and its resident ghosts is so, so beautiful.

No Place Like Home (Multi-Fandom) by thingswithwings - I clicked on this for Big Eden and Schitt's Creek, but it's full of wonderful queer couples from multiple shows finding love, happiness, and family in small towns (loved the little montage of town signs, so cute!)

A Shot in the Dark (Only Murders in the Building) by Krim - The mood and movement in this vid just delight me at every turn. Fabulous.

Paper Thin Line (Schitt's Creek) by Josette_Arnauld - Ha! The song isn't really to my taste, but I have to admit it's perfect for David and Patrick.

try your best (Taskmaster UK) by hartknyx - This shouldn't work, not with that song and such a silly little panel show, but it absolutely does and I adore it so, so much. Captures the highs and lows of the show so well, just a complete joy from start to finish.

Don't Stop Me Now (Taskmaster UK) by thingswithwings - Perfectly captures the chaotic joy and energy of the show.

All Star (Taskmaster UK) by hartknyx - I knew this was gonna be good after that use of Mawaan trying to fill an egg with helium to the lyric "your brain gets dumb" and it only got better from there. Love it!

It's Gonna Be Me (What We Do in the Shadows) by findmeinthealps - Omg, I absolutely cackled at this one. If not for the show it's paired with, this could stray into Lord King Bad Vid territory, but it's so delightfully perfect. Every time the song title comes up I just lose it. Perfection.
