Pourquoi c'est une excellente BD:

C'est une satire politique hilarante. Le côté politique est extrêmement bien ficelé sans tomber dans le prêchi-prêcha et sans prendre de bord particulier en dehors de l'histoire (ça ne critique pas un vrai parti politique mais plutôt la corruption et la démagogie en général) ce qui est devenu rare de nos jours.

Côté humour, c'est le premier album des schtroumpfs où apparaissent les cadeaux explosifs du Schtroumpf Farceur, ainsi que le premier album pour certains personnages récurrents (Schtroumpf Bêta, par example).

Les plus jeunes ne l'auront pas remarqués, mais en relisant, plus âgés, ils s'en rendront compte, c'est le seul album des Schtroumpfs avec un gros mot... ou plus précisément, il y a une scène entièrement écrite et dessinée pour que le Schtroumpfissime, acculé, se voit lancer "rendez-vous", et réponde "schtroumpf !", une référence à la célèbre scène apocryphe de Cambronne à Waterloo, à qui on lança cette même réplique et qui répondit "Merde !". Que voulez vous, j'aime bien les BD jeunesse qui ont ce genre d'humour qui nous passe complètement au-dessus de la tête quand on est jeune et qui nous assomme quand on est plus grand.

Jokey Smurf (original French name Schtroumpf Farceur) is one of the main characters of the Smurfs comic books and the Smurfs cartoon show, who has appeared on the show throughout its entire run. He is a jolly yet mischievous village prankster who likes to get a laugh out of seeing his fellow Smurfs fall for his practical jokes, usually at the expense of their patience with him. His most common prank is the exploding giftbox that he usually gives to an unsuspecting Smurf. He never likes it though when a practical joke is being played back on him.
