If you like Jurassic Park, but want a way more laidback version this is definitely the manga for you! It was a really fun read. I think the thing that I loved most about this manga was that the dinos were treated like zoo animals, rather than specimens that were put on display for peoples entertainment. I liked how the keepers got to interact with their dinosaur charges and that they got to be affectionate with them and that they got to know their little quirks inside and out. I also really appreciated the lab notes from the manga’s research consultant, who happens to be a paleontologist. It was so cool to see their notes on why certain things about why dinosaurs are the way they are. It was just a really nice manga to end summer with. Dinosaur Sanctuary volume 1 is getting four stars from me! I’m excited for the next one 😊.
