ON SCORPIO RISINGS ♏️

This is a part of a series on the rising signs not necessarily in Zodiacal order.

Scorpio risings are here to cultivate intimacy and transform themselves and everyone around them. They seek depth. They are rather introverted - libra 12h - and don't reveal much about themselves. Like all water signs they have air signs (sociability) in dark houses (12h and 8h) and 4h which isn't dark per se cause it's visible from the ascendant, but it's private.

Aquarius in the chart is what you wish for. They wish for 4h stuff (intimacy, familiarity, emotional security, a home which doesn't restrict them). But before 4h there's capricorn in 3h. They struggle with 3h stuff - communication, school, siblings, peers, classmate, neighborhood...they do not harbor a good relation with these topics.

Now there's a concept that houses support each other. 8h from 8h is what supports it and gives it life - 8h from 8h is 3h! (you can apply this to all houses btw). Scorpios are spontaneous in 8h stuff - intimacy, sharing resources, inheritance, sudden changes etc cause they have gemini there. But they're restricted in 3h stuff which is the supporter of 8h! How can you achieve intimacy if you don't communicate your needs (3h)?

Communication is essential for sharing finances as well. How can they do that when they are afraid to reveal what's in their mind?

3h also precedes 4h.Again they have difficulty with 3h stuff but their ruler Mars exalts there,in Capricorn. So they do not like expressing themselves verbally.They come off as "mysterious" partly bc of this reason. It's hard to get to know them/figure them out.They dont like to express themselves but once they do,they exalt,bc their ruler Mars literally exalts in 3h.

It's because they don't speak or express much... That when they do express, it's valuable. It's deep and meaningful. They don't talk and blubber or gossip just for it's sake. My favorite scorpio rising who was successful in expressing himself is Edgar Allan Poe! He wrote beautiful poetry and it was very much full of Scorpio themes.

Scorpio risings get success from writing down their ideas and thoughts. They have so much depth to express but what you see of them is only the tip of the iceberg. But once they express this depth and get comfortable with slowly releasing their traumas and revealing their feelings, they can find the deep relationship they want, and also become unstoppable.

Their craving for intimacy, emotional connections, etc makes them seek relationships that end up feeling isolating. Venus rules 7h and 12h! Study the condition of Venus to discover how this impacts relationships. Venus exalts in their 5h in pisces. 5h rules self expression so if scorpios express themselves, it will help improve their relationships.

They can excel at sports and physical activities as well cause Mars (physicality) rules 1h as well as 6h of health/routines. The football legend Diego Armando Maradona is scorpio rising. They can easily reach stardom and be the stars of the show, cause sun rules their 10h, if the sun and Mars both are well placed.

Conventional religion isn't for them. As it can get shallow with empty rituals and recitals without meaning or depth. They look into taboo subjects which conventional religion doesn't approve of. Their ruler Mars debilitates in cancer 9h. They have their own beliefs and unconventional approach to spirituality.

Leo Risings almost always have some sort of body issue trauma or confidence issues.

Libra Mercurys when meeting people all have this certain type of awkward laugh like a “pff” noise and humm a lot in agreement even when they don’t agree. (this is more tailored with virgo and gemini placements in the mix with it but if you’re a libra mercury and this resonates without those lmk!)

Mars and Saturn in the 1st house when unhealed makes everything a competition. They have to be “successful”. If that means knocking you down a pegs or talking shit about you to make them feel better about themselves…they will do it. If it’s in Leo they have to have all the attention. If it’s in Aquarius they will act unbothered and aloof but talk mega shit about you. etc. whatever sign these planets are in it causes friction. there is a constant yearning to push but saturn restrains it. They might feel like they have to be constantly be in action or “maintaining” their image to be enough. This causes a more than deep inner frustration when they see someone achieving the things they want.

Gemini Sun in the 11th I feel like fits the stereotype of “gemini being two faced” the most. Their ego is constantly changing from the information and energy they are absorbing from other groups of people. Very chameleon like. If they don’t have a strong sense of self, or other planets in the chart that suggest this, i feel like it could lead to identity/self image issues. Same for the 7th house but i feel like the 11th house is more pungent. It’s not just personal relationships it’s community and the social world as a whole.

12th house placements are the worst when it comes to reflective people. The 12th house often holds things that are hidden from ourselves. Thinking about it on the chart wheel, the 12th house is right above the 1st. Almost as if it’s what guides us but it’s unseen. If there’s any personal planets in the 12th house and they are aspected heavily it could show us repressed issues that control the persons life without their knowledge of it. Whenever they meet people that force them to face themselves it’s particularly hard for these natives, not because it’s hard information to swallow, but because the information and emotion that comes with it can be confusing as a whole. From my experience they often shut people out or avoid them completely because they aren’t ready to face those issues.

Virgo Moons often have mothers that are self critical. I’ve noticed the mothers of virgo moons have body issues and obsessed over it. This can lead them to unconsciously pick up on these critical,self improvement mindset. it’s very important for these natives to be aware of the relationship to the mother and themselves. i’ve also met other virgo moons and this remains true!!

8th house moons need to feel understood more than any other house moon placement. They feel deeply and crave soul-level connections. day to day connections are probably draining for this person. to feel emotionally stable they need a person that gets them completely,fully,and nakedly. trust and authenticity is vital to this native.

Almost every scorpio moon i’ve met are disconnected from their feelings. personally i’ve never met one that didn’t feel distant emotionally. this could be because of their protective nature emotionally or because their emotions are too intense for them to feel themselves. either way it’s very interesting to see, coming from a scorpio rising, how scorpios energy works. my sister and boyfriend both have scorpio moons, the two closest people in my life, and there is always still a sense of mystery there.

Moon in the 12 house often repress their emotions so much it could lead to dissociation. I don’t have this placement myself, but i recently met someone that gets my emotional energy like no other and she has her moon in the 12th house. Some issues that come up are knowing you feel a lot and deeply but it’s just out of reach for you to truly get to the “bottom” of the feeling. Feeling so overwhelmed that you don’t know how to react in a moment that would normally prompt a reaction. Taking on people’s emotions because they “sense” the emotions others aren’t verbally voicing.

10th house stelliums especially with saturn feel like they have to achieve something career wise before they do anything else in life. It could be from an outside force or themselves, but it’s very important for these natives to understand that their success is not directly tied to who they fundamentally are. It’s okay to fail and it’s important to try re define what success to this native actually looks like.

If you have Uranus or Neptune in the third house you might randomly get spiritual downloads or hits from writing, driving in your car, listening to music, words standing out from listening to someone’s conversation, radios, school work.

Sagittarius Moons depending on what house and how it’s aspected can be deep feelers. They feel most comfortable focusing on the bright side of things and making light of situations, but the need to find meaning and purpose to an emotion is still there, just like any other sagittarius placement. If they find enjoyment in finding meaning to their emotions they could start to feel comfortable processing deeper complex emotions. they might intellectualize emotions on a more negative note.

I have always liked to write and for many years astrology captured my heart. I had been wanting to start a blog for some time, to share my passion and meet many people through it. Pisces & the 12th house are associated with Neptune, the planet that dissolves everything it touches. The Sun is the ego, or your self-belief. When these energies collide, it’s hard knowing who you are and what you want to do with your life. This can be both a blessing and a curse; it makes you open to all kinds of experiences, and allows you to be freed from the need to control outcomes. But it can also lead you to lose yourself and waste time that you could've applied to certain aspirations, and ending up not accomplishing anything worthwhile. if you have any of these placements, it's important that you do some soul searching and find out what it is that you want to do & become.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the planet of knowledge and communication. Leo is the Sun, constantly showering the world with its light. Natives endowed with these placements looove talking about themselves and their interests. Leo is fixed, meaning it’s more likely to go deep than a mutable & easily bored Gemini. Combine the two, and you get an expert in any kind of medium. These guys are real yappers; once they are comfortable and start talking, you cannot stop them.

Wha they say about Leo Venus is true. These people love showering their love interest with affection and admiration. They will let the whole world know how they feel for them. Their lovers are an extension of themselves in a way, which makes them super proud and showy. What is also true is that they expect the same in return. Like Libra Venus, they love being in love. So much so that they stay in unhealthy and unsatisfying dynamics because they need to feel love for someone, and desperately want that love given back to them.

Pisces placements are clumsy. This water, Neptune-ruled sign, is ungrounded. Obstacles seem to just appear out of nowhere for them. They often bump into walls or people, hold things too lightly, and drop them. Aries placements are also destructive in that sense. They break things without intending to. Which makes sense considering they are Mars-ruled.

Arians enjoy partaking in physical fights or at least watching other people fight. Many men with this placement enjoy sports like MMA or wrestling. Either they are actively engaged in their practice or are interested. Ruled by Mars, Aries natives possess an innate sense of violence. Fighting helps them release the destructive anger they feel inside. 

Virgo Suns are surprisingly forgetful. Since they’re given this collected and organized stereotype in astrology, you’d expect them to always remember important things. But these natives always seem to lose their belongings, postpone answering their texts forever, and forget about loved ones' birthdays. They are so focused on their work or responsibilities that they forget about the actually important stuff.

Libra placements are actually very self-centered. Yes, Libra is the sign of relationships. Yes, it is about balance. But it’s on the same polarity as Aries—the sign of the Self, meaning they share similarities. Libras have the potential to be as self-obsessed and selfish as their counterpart. In this lifetime, they are learning what it means to cooperate and include others. Likewise, Aries placements can be relationship-oriented and generous with their possessions. Their purpose involves learning to share the self without sacrificing it in favor of others.

Scorpio Mars' anger can be explosive and, honestly, quite surprising. Natives keep it under wraps for long until it's just too powerful to contain. As they grow, they learn to tame it, as they know how destructive it can be. They also hate not having control over their emotions because they believe not being in control equals being weak. Unlike Aries Mars, these natives believe fighting means you have lost power over yourself and handed it over to the other. 

Taurus Mars embodies the lazy stereotype more than any other Taurus placement. Mars is energy and movement. Taurus is slow and enjoys comfort. This detrimental Mars doesn't enjoy physical effort. Libra ascendant: these people are the social butterflies and charmers. You’ll find them surrounded by people trying to win their attention. They dress nicely and have a pleasant disposition. They have the iconic “charming smile” that they use to win people over. Fair-minded, diplomatic and balanced are also words that describe them well. Could fall into the trap of always wanting to seem perfect and/or wanting to please people. Depending on other influences, indecision, shallowness and passive-aggressiveness is also very possible with this placement, as they typically want to avoid conflict at all costs.

As body type: look for face symmetry, clear and glowing skin, typically medium-sized body with kind eyes and charming smile. As a native ruled by planet Venus, they probably put a lot of emphasis on aesthetics. This could translate to always dressing to the latest trands, decorating their homes nicely or simply a dislike for messy/chaotic or too minimalistic environments.

Scorpio ascendant: the most characteristic for this placements is “the stare”. When they look at you it feels like they can see the deepest corners of your soul and all your flaws and it’s unnerving. In fact, their very presence seems to add heaviness to any room. You might notice people falling silent when you insert yourself to a conversation. Rather than being charming and agreeable, your aura is intense and commanding. You might make people feel uncomfortable even when you don’t mean to. The planet of death, Pluto, is your ruling planet. As body type: deep and thoughtful eyes, a hard stare. Sharp facial features, especially the jaw, a darker complexion.

You likely prefer darker colours of clothing. Black, darker shades of grey or blue. You could dress in a minimalistic fashion or opt for flattering even edgy or gothic styles. Your appearance could also change significantly throughout the years.

Sagittarius ascendant: the first words that come to my mind are “bold” and “loud”. These natives love having space to roam free and explore and are intellectually curious. They crave novelty and new experiences like a fish fresh water. It’s a necessity. They are definitely the friendly people that seem to float from one group of friends to another. Instead of staying silent they will voice their opinion even if they will come off blunt or insensitive. They definitely have a temper that they hide to a greater or lesser extent. Though they are friendly, they aren’t people pleasers and very much prefer honesty over shallow pleasantries. This definitely means ruffling feathers at least sometimes. Regardless of other placements, Jupiter definitely adds a touch of light-heartedness and positivity to this person’s aura.

On the downside, there could be anger issues, a love for drama, messiness or lack of structure in one or more dimensions of their life. Settling down could also prove to be hard. If they aren’t the type to play the field then at least they have high standards and/or don’t like their freedom being restricted or feeling like they are under somebody’s thumb.

As body body type: they could be athletic or if not there could be a fondness for working out/practicing some kind of sport or staying active in general. They are definitely the outdoorsy types so don’t expect they’ll stay cooped up in the house for too long. They likely have an open body language, relaxed posture and an approachable energy in general. Expressive eyes and youthful appearance is very possible.

As clothing, they prefer colourful styles or sporty/functional ones. They likely opt for versatile, comfortable shoes. Bohemian styles or statement accessories are also very possible.

Capricorn ascendant: meet the serious-minded and ambitious folk. Those natives always do more than just complete their assignments. They do them with overwhelmingly perfection. Teachers and older people might like you more than those of your age or you might just feel like you resonate with them more. There is definitely a strict and bossy side to your personality. You don’t like inefficiency, too much drama or even grammar mistakes, for that matter. You bottle up your emotions and let only a few select people close. You are organised and logical in your approach to life. You are always true to your word and people can always depend on you. A dark and sharp sense of humour may be present. You are strong-willed and typically very polite.

On a downote, watch out for your controlling, workaholic tendencies and much like the Scorpio ascendant, learn to be more open about your feelings in general. A more positive outlook on life wouldn’t hurt either. Not everything is black and white.

As body type: you could be lean or have a defined built. A good posture and serious eyes. You probably prefer classic or simple styles of clothing. You might have a preference for formal wear. You like comfortable shoes and looking sophisticated and put together in general.

Aquarius ascendant: meet the gypsies! These natives are inquisitive, rebellious and have a special flair to them that makes them stand out in a crowd. They are social and likely have many hobbies. They could be big nerds or just very good with technology in general. They are definitely the 70 year old grandparents that pick up a smartphone for the first time and know how to use is as well as or even better than their grandchildren. Because, well, “it’s just so obvious. You just click here and here.” They don’t like being ordered what to do and if someone adopts a commanding tone with this native on a regular basis, they’ll definitely fly away or wiggle their way out of any assignment really. Also, they hate being monitored when completing a task. It’s unnerving. Luckily, they usually put a lot of emphasis on doing their work right, even suggesting ways in which to make any project better, more efficient or interesting in general. If they respect you as a leader, they would do nearly anything for you even if that means lots of unslept hours, tears and hard work. The loyalty of this natives is very hard to gain but extremely precious. They can be real forces of nature for better or for worse. It’d be best not to be on their black list.

On a darker note, they could be very stubborn, impulsive and emotionally detached in personal relationships (most of which if due to their cerebral approach to life and/or inability to deal with emotionally-charged situations). They could be erratic and unpredictable and aren’t necessarily easy to get to know.

They are deeply loyal to a select few people and are total sweethearts to them, sometimes undeservedly.

Almost any style of clothing is possible, or a combination of 2-3 of them at the same time. Instead of following trends, they are trend-setters and don’t mind having all looks on them, even judgemental one, if it means their clothes align with who they are deep down.

Pisces ascendant: they have a softer and sometimes ethereal presence. You look at them and might think they are a poet or artist and could very well be right. They might be gentle or soft-spoken. Not the most social but people might just like them anyways. They are empathetic and sensitive people that would gladly give suport and heart-felt advice, only were they asked for it. They are diplomatic and easy-going. They can make friends easily as people are drawn to their giving and kind energy. There is probably a dislike for conflict or tense situations in general. They are not fond of overly competitive environments and having to convince any person of the rightness their opinion is frankly scary and/or overly burdensome for them. They’d rather ignore the problem or you altogether than keep getting into arguments.

On a darker note, there could be manipulative tendencies or lying, mostly as not to upset someone or having to admit a mistake they made in the past. It probably tears them apart as it is but admitting that to another person is a different matter altogether. Mood swings, naivety, emotional indecision, weak boundaries and victim mentality are also very possible.

As body type: soft and gentle features, expressive eyes, fluid movements, ethereal aura.

As clothing, they definitely prefer the softer, feminine or romantic styles. They might like to dress in a bohemian fashion or prefer lighter, pastel colours over darker ones. Comfortable shoes and sporty/homey clothing could also be to their taste.
