Like, not to gate keep but if you can’t accept that the creators of your favorite media are first and foremost PEOPLE, with their own lives and happiness that exist outside of the act of them creating whatever media it is your consuming. then respectfully, fuck off.

The big discourse on twitter right now is that writers going on strike or cancelling their own series are breaking an invisible “contract” they made with their fans and all creators owe their fans a satisfying conclusion to their stories. Actually all fans owe all creators for entertaining them and if a creator says “I don’t want to perform this labor anymore,” then regardless of the cliffhanger that leaves you with, your only response should be “take care! Thank you for all your hard work!!!” :)

The fae (who are much, much older. some of them can recall the inception of the human’s God) have their own gods, although they treat them less as divine wardens and more like old friends. The story they pass on is that before there was the world, there The Poet. And The Poet wrote with such passion and honesty that from his words the world sprouted. This is why they revere (and often steal human) artists. Creation is next to holiness.

Silly Game Time: WEIRD GLADIATOR FIGHTS! Michelangelo, a renaissance sculptor who worked in marble to produce human-sized statues, and illegally disected corpses to teach himself human anatomy. He's armed with two mallets, a sharp chisel in his belt, and so much murderous rage because the Pope keeps insisting *he paint stuff* even though *he's a sculptor*, damn it!

Caravaggio, a renaissance painter who liked to brawl (or maybe a brawler who liked to paint?) and probably murdered 3 people (at minimum). He's armed with a walking stick, a dagger, and a plate or artichokes. Also, he's fighting for another pardon for murder from the Pope.
