Alternatively, Alastor is advertising the hotel on his radio broadcast and brings Charlie in for a live interview. However, he struggles with a bad itch when Keke follows Charlie into the studio.

Angel Dust finds out Husk has a sneeze kink and tries to get him to admit it in subtle/unsubtle ways.

Lucifer is tentatively invited up to Heaven to discuss the whole Sir Pentious situation. Unfortunately since he's a demon, his meeting with Sera is a little rocky due to a holy object in the room.

What I've watched: Busted, A Business Proposal, The Uncanny Counter

What I want to watch: School 2017, Today's Webtoon

Okay, so though I said it was in no particular order, Se-jeong is definitely my top pick. I just love her, both on- and off-screen. She can nail both a bubbly rom-com protagonist and a hard-core, ass-kicking action star. And off-screen, she's just so happy and excited about everything in variety shows. I'm definitely hoping for a lot more dramas to come from her in the future.

What I've watched: The Pirates; The Last Royal Treasure, W, Happiness

What I want to watch: Treadstone, Masquerade, Moving

This woman is just so goddamn cool in every role I've seen her in, as well as from what I can tell of her other roles. I'm not really sure what else to say tbh. She's amazing, end of sentence. I cannot wait to see her other projects as well, I'm sure they're fantastic.

What I want to watch: V.I.P., Family; The Unbreakable Bond

The Last Empress was one of the first dramas I watched where I was like; "oh so that's what a kdrama can be" - and her role as Oh Sunny is still one of my favorite characters ever, even years later. Just for that alone, she gets a spot on this list. SYHH was fantastic as well, only adding to my point here.

What I want to watch: Queen of Tears

This is a case where she somehow just ended up in dramas I had planned to watch, without knowing she was in them. And in every one, she just stole the show. I don't know what it is about her, but she just stands out in the best ways. I was so sad when I found out she wouldn't continue as Tanya in Arthdal, as I just think she was perfect in that role.

What I want to watch: Abyss, Concrete Utopia

She was so heart-shatteringly amazing in Doom At Your Service that I just had to put her on this list. Though the others actors were fantastic as well, she just carried this entire drama on her back. And Bong-soon is just an iconic character all around. It took me a while to realize they were played by the same actress, she's that good.

Don't they know how to make kdramas anymore? I'm watching" King The Land" and although it's really pleasant, way better than almost of recent romcoms, it's not fairytale-ish anymore. Older kdramas had a spark. For example," you've fallen for me" didn't depict any chaebols , but had something. Or "Cinderella and the four Knights " .

Ok this is a long rambling answer anon :P

I have a lot of conflicting thoughts about King the Land but as you mentioned, it has a lot to offer in the way of cuteness and fluff. My brain knows it lacks key features that could really make it an amazing drama but it's definitely not BAD. Maybe when I organize my thoughts I can describe what exactly isn't working for me in this drama (it's definitely NOT junho in a suit ok?).

I know what you're saying about more recent rom coms lacking the "spark" the older dramas had but THINK about what we've gained!

Chaebols who recognize imbalances of power (thank You Why Secretary Kim and well...King The Land!), Ladies who are actually CAPABLE of 100% more than the men they fall for and well, the kisses are so much better than the older dramas too!

In some ways you really can't have dramas like Boys Over Flowers or King 2 Hearts now because the "romance" would hit differently. And there's a definite slump in straight up fluff rom coms with the rich guy set up. But in a lot of ways, the newer set ups show growth I think.

Also more recently we have The Business Proposal (2022), (2021), Her Private Life, (2021), Touch Your Heart (2021) etc that are all solid rom coms imo.

In the meantime if you want a rom com from 2022 2023, I recommend Semantic error and Our Dating Sim! They're bls, but they really follow a lot of cute fluffy traditional rom com vibes you might like??

Sorry for this long answer that didn't really have a cohesive train of thought. Yes, there's a rom com fluff slump for sure but I've seen so many great romance dramas in the past few years so... I'm confused now lol.

my demon: do-gyeong and se-ra

do-gyeong and se-ra are such interesting characters. episode 16 really shows us what kind of relationship they could've had, what kind of people they could've been, had suk-min not been poisoning them both so badly.

the little gesture of se-ra giving do-gyeong the scar cream, and then later finding the family photo do-gyeong had folded everyone else out of, so it was just him and se-ra. they only had each other who knew what was going on, and they *could've* been great support together.

but in the end, se-ra turned a blind eye to the abuse suk-min was putting do-gyeong through (while also receiving similar treatment herself), and do-gyeong ended up as a murderer, before committing suicide. he desperately needed psychiatric help, and to be away from suk-min.

se-ra 100% could've been a better mother to do-gyeong but she has lost sooo much by the end. im v v glad she managed to escape suk-min

Soldiers kill sheep in the streets and I see bison skulls piled high, the bullets are made in the United States.

Trees are set ablaze by tanks and I see Moses kneeling in fear and reverence, God does not speak from these flames.

The people starve and I see seaweed gathered in baskets on Irish shores, Dutch tulip bulbs boiled with rabbit bones.

When they said ‘never again’ it was never for love of the hundreds of millions murdered, nor fear of the systems that allowed such evil to rise. They said ‘never again’ to shipping lane inconveniences, to stock market woes, and to being seen for cowards.

At least a coward would sit in quiet fear, content in inaction. Now they sign over billions, condemning millions to the total destruction. Where is the shame? Where is the apathy?
