ok so i hate writing intelligent posts abt malevolent bc im scared of posting theories that are stupid and wrong but like. im feeling that the eponymous fallen star of the order of the fallen star. is john. like this is a cult not about the king in yellow like that in season 1, but instead about the “fallen star” that fragmented off the king. It's crazy watching Rick and Morty at 14, the same age as Morty, and feeling such vitriol and hatred for Rick because So. Many. Men in my life were exactly like him. I wanted Morty to get revenge I wanted him to make Rick have a breakdown from the guilt I wanted Morty to cut him off I had Zero empathy for Sanchez as a teen, despite knowing that he had a Fucked backstory and deciding I didn't care because he's an abusive Dick. Fast forward to now having made my own mistakes regarding the young children in my life and the toxicity I bring from my trauma filled past and I am reluctantly realizing that as much as I despised Rick and the men like him in my life, I still was surrounded by the hatred enough to become similar in apathy and cynicism like Morty. I understand him now, fuck man and I feel Bad for him. He was like my abusers but now he's just such a pathetically sad old man who can't face one moment of his past without feeling shame. I still believe that if Rick were to face trials beyond human comprehension it would be the least of what he deserves despite having empathy now, but it's weird when at 14 I was salivating to push him into the blender dimension myself.

Overall I'm excited for the Total Drama revival but I hate that they're still sticking to the 13 episode format of the later seasons. Like they absolutely need to go back to having 26 episodes like the first three seasons. Like how the fuck are they supposed to properly develop 16 brand new characters in 13 episodes. Especially cause it's gonna be on HBO Max which is also where they put Young Justice season 4 and THAT had a full 26 episodes so like what's the big idea here. Ridiculous.

#shortening the later seasons was one of that. show's biggest mistakes lmao #all-stars especially should've been a full 26 episode season with aftermaths and everything #all-stars is also the only season where i would change the line-up #like i'd keep the 14 thhey had then add 6 more to make it 20 #like maybe add owen leshawna and noah for the original cast then dawn brick and anne maria for the second cast #revenge and pahkitew don't really need to be 26 episodes cause of how small the casts are so i'd make them like 20 episodes each #but yeah frankly we need to to bring back 26 episode seasons just in general #i'm so sick of so many shows having such short fucking seasons nowadays #shut up tristan

My absolute favourite sitcom to watch growing up is getting a next gen sequel and idk how to feel about it

#see I adored the original bc I live for unconventional big family dynamics #and yes I did only start watching it after the final episode aired bc I was too young to watch when it was coming out #it aired from 2007 to 2012/23 #back then I wasn’t concerned with anything but mlp and winx club #and they cancelled it after the 20th season leaving it on a cliffhanger #of course even before that the show hadn’t gotten too great #the premise was that a woman leaves her husband alone with five daughters ranging in age from 17 to 5 #and he has to raise them with help from no one but his mother in law on a family therapist’s salary #but then around season 7 the actor wanted to move on to other projects so they did a switch. the mom came back and the dad decided to leave #so he could think everything over #then by season 13 he came back and season 14 became 20 episodes of infuriating miscommunication #but they shorted their shit out and the next four seasons were focused more on the married life of the second daughter #(which. is a whole other can of worms. that character literally taught me sarcasm and they ruined her #she was a rebellious goth who went against the system. they gave her a love interest and turned her into a housewife #and I actually loved the relationship she had. it was cute. I just wish they didn’t make her not only stop being a goth #but call herself stupid for ever being one)#season 18 ended on a logical conclusion. then they decided on 2 more seasons where the whole family moves into a big house in the country #and I’ve only watched those two once so I really only remember that it ended on a cliffhanger #and now. a decade later. they’re making a sequel #that said second daughter followed her mother’s footsteps and left her husband alone with a bunch of daughters #and I’m a bit conflicted. like her character was massacred already. if she knew the trauma of being left by her mom why would she do it?#most likely it’ll be actually explained in the new show #and they got basically the entire og cast back together too which is gonna be really fun #see how they all aged and grew up #so I’m equal parts excited and worried. for the sake of 10yo me who binged most of those seasons several times I hope it’s good #the first episode is starting in like 3 minutes so I’m gonna shut up now and go turn on the tv #rant over #папины дочки #папины дочки новые
