Idk if you already answered an ask like this already but does Splinter and Donnie have a good father and son relationship? 🤔

For the most part, yeah it's good. Splinter still has his flaws of course, as much as he loves Donnie he isn't always very good at showing it, and he's still dealing with some pretty intense depression.

That being said, taking care of one mutant turtle child, while still hard, is significantly easier than care of four. Because of that, Splinter in this AU is able to dedicate a lot more time to Donnie. On the flipside, because Donnie doesn't have any siblings to entertain him, he seeks out Splinter for company a lot more, and Splinter isn't always able to give all of the attention that he needs. But overall, I'd say they are closer in the AU than they are in canon, considering they've mostly only been able to rely on each other for so long.

Twitter Rise of the TMNT Q&A

Summary of my personal favorites:

A Krang ship (the first Krang on earth) crashed into the Crying Titan. Empeyreum is the Krangs fuel. It mutated the Yokai and gives them their power.

Future Mikey is in his 70s

The Foot Recruits transformed in the movie are still Krang soldiers/slaves. Additionally, Casey and Cassandra would’ve traveled the world disposing of remaining Krang and Foot clan members.

The mystic weapons the boys found in Draxum’s lair don’t come with powers they just helped the boys unlock what was already within them.

Leo still has his mystic powers in the movie opening

Leo would’ve gone with Casey through the portal, but his injuries would not have allowed him to survive.

Raph’s height in the future (had he been featured) would’ve been 6’6”. Leo is roughly 6’ and Donnie would’ve been a little taller. Mikey would grow taller but shrunk due to mystic overuse.

The turtles have been exposed to the world as hero’s post movie, so living in the shadows isn’t really an option anymore.

Two missing sisters were meant to be explored. One being Big Mamas henchman who would’ve been ridiculously serious, and the other was trapped in another dimension all this time.

Mikey is Raph’s fav and Leo is Donnie’s. But all the boys have a deep respect for Raph.

Big Mama is the most powerful person in the Hidden City.

Raph was a kitten for Halloween. Mikey was a Lion, Leo was a rock star and Donnie dressed as Oppenheimer.

🍂Risetober 2023 Day 14: Pizza🍂

Future Boy is enjoying his pizza after saving the world from an alien invasion.

I know this has already been brought up but I’m still not over Donnie officially going on more missions than Leo and Mikey

You just assume it would be Donnie second to last with Leo being the last (because Donnie will forever have a canonical and fanon reputation of being the one to hold up in his lab working) but no he did more work than Mikey just by showing up, I believe in Brain and Brawn’s superiority

Gonna try this one a second time because I’m nothing if not relentless. These two images have been driving me up a wall since the movie came out and for good reason.

The ROTTMNT movie brought everything back around. A lot of the scenes played out, made you think it wasn’t going to get a dramatic parallel later that would tear your heart out, and then, lo and behold, a follow-up parallel that makes you wanna shred.

But I digress. These two images are my favorite parallels in the entire movie. Because we didn’t just get Leo apologizing after finally understanding Raph’s plight, we got a direct cause and correlation!

Raph’s sacrifice at the beginning of the movie, protecting Leo from the Kraang at the cost of his damaged shell. Fast forward near the end of the movie and Leo has sacrificed himself to save his family from the Kraang. While what he did wasn’t similar visually, the creators of this movie did the beautiful thing of using dramatic imagery and lighting to mimic Raph’s moment.

They paid homage to Raph because hero moves are totally his style.

The urge to write an analysis on the turtles powers and why they have their abilities and how it matches up with them and what they can do also bringing up the fact that they have no true training which brings up what can they TRULY DO
