I feel like there's quite a few different things that could work in that scenario #he has wit in terms of smarts & snark & whimsy. he was part of a movement that opposed tyranny and valued freedom. back then he wanted #to protect innocents. he's charismatic and good w/ people. he was a loyal friend to solas and later on was loyal to briala. he's calm and #level-headed. steady. a slow arrow makes its way to its target/goal slowly but steadily and you dont see it coming #Wit.. Loyalty.. Friendship.. Freedom.. Steadfastness.. Charm.. Protection.. Resolve.. Duty #my personal hc atm tho is- if he was- Guidance ◕‿◕. “'I kindled nothing' Felassan said. What's your earliest memory?

Earliest… He stopes and thinks for a moment. I think my earliest memory is me spending time with my dad in his work shop. My older brother and sister were playing a little too rough, and I got hurt while trying to play with them. My mom was to busy dealing with my younger brother, since he was still a newborn, so my dad watched me while he was working. He ended up giving me an old lock and key to play with, and it ended up being my favorite toy ever since. I think I still have it somewhere, actually… I’ll have to see if I can find it…

#esp bc of the contrast with 10s face #who was so loud abt it #i think 12 had things most like balanced. was somewhat at peace with the cognitive dissonance of how he carried out his values #and also found maybe the best way to carry them out #13 deals with the cognitive dissonance by just i think compartmentalising like crazy?#like hard split between the doctor thats Nice and Fun and the doctor that kills #we see her try to manage the dissonance as loudly as 10 does when she Cant separate them so much #'you saw right? i gave it a chance'#10 doesnt try to separate as much i think #but then once 13 is forced to be the doctor that kills by necessity in villa diodati #after that i think she just stays on that side #she just accepts being the doctor that kills. she commands the fam like theyre soldiers. yaz like a second in command #she directs actual unit soldiers without any resistance whatsoever #like theres a kind of acceptance to it that i think shows here between them #no im wrong abt 12. there was a resignation there but no peace with it. hes a doctor of war but that doesnt mean he wants to be #he wouldve killed himself over it #so 13 KNOWS she is a doctor of war #and when people in s11 are like 'youre great i wanna be just like you' she looks ashamed bc she knows they shouldnt be #because SHE shouldnt be. but she is. and i think she just kinda gives in in the second half. stops pretending shes not #so these two also know #'name: the doctor. occupation: not a doctor'#its interesting tho bc the war doctor was like. the disowned one. the one removed from the personal history from memory #exactly like all those in the fobwatch #i think she assumes theres probably a lot of doctors in there like the war doctor #who did things that would undoctor them #occupation: not a doctor

Mav's favourite joke was the throw his cat stuffy around. If he felt ignored or wanted to play, he would fling it at someone or hold it in his mouth and punch you with it. It was very funny to me and he always got a big reaction (because that stuffy was disgusting).

I wonder if he got a level of care he’d never gotten before when he died to techno #it wasn’t anything. they had duelled and techno at least respected him facing death for his cause #(I know jack tries to escape in canon. I do not use canon a day in my life 🩷)#techno probably didn’t even remember how jack’s face twisted in pain before his expression dropped in realization #he had an opponent who wasn’t his target and they were currently weighing down his sword by having it through their stomach #techno had paused and grabbed Jack’s shoulders. it was more of a push than setting him down on the newly unearthed cobblestone #(jack remembered how hot it was. the ground had already felt like a memory of the explosion)#that was all that happened. the sword was swiftly pulled out. the light left Jack’s eyes. techno continued on his way #but Jack always remembers the hands bringing his pale body to the ground #he never knew that the hand over his heart was an accidental placement while the sword was removed #eventually he doesn’t know where the warmth came from. he just knows there was warmth in that moment #when he dies clinging to netherrack that singes his hands and he feels seconds away from melting #the feeling of the burns against his skin on november 16th fade away #it’s only warmth. and when he gets desperate to get rid of everything in manifold land #and the flames dance too close to his arms. he feels warm. and he’ll never escape that feeling #c!jack manifold #maniposting
