by now, how many times in your life did you have to run after your careless, irresponsible brother?
had to make sure he isn't doing anything reckless again, despite him being an akademiya graduate. Or that one time when he had visited your home only to forget half of his belongings, requiring you to carry them all over to his place.
well, not to his place to be exact.
after yet another foolish decision in kaveh's life, your step brother even got himself caught up in heavy debt, being in need of a place to stay.
however at first, he had asked you, but ever since you had gotten adopted you had already spent the majority of your life with him.
to say you were tired was an understatement.
as a matter of fact kaveh did find a place to stay in the end, one you were quite surprised to hear of, bewildered even, you just couldn't wrap your head around how on earth that was supposed to work out in the long run.
you had heard of his roommate, the akademiya's scribe, or how most people were referring to him, as alhaitham, from kaveh himself, aside of the very detailed stories about how ill mannered and ignorant he could become, especially to your brother in question.
in all honesty, it made you laugh, you mean to tell him that yes, sometimes messing with him, taking a lot out of him could be fun in all aspects but maybe it was due to the fact that you were practicing those methods from your childhood days on.
as life went on, you found yourself at his new settling every once in a while, more often when the scribe himself wasn't there, almost as if kaveh was trying his utmost best to never have you both meet each other.
once you had asked him as to why, feeling insulted that he even thought you wouldn't realize when he was making it painfully conspicuous, more whenever your brother would panic that *now* he was usually coming home from his work, you had to leave right now.
all he had to say about it was that he was certain you wouldn't like him anyways, would actually loath him too and wasn't it a part of nature to protect your younger sibling from each major plague in life?
to that, you couldn't respond with anything meaningful, suffocating the conversation right then and there because truthfully, though it may seem strange, you didn't think your brother would lie to you in that precise set of circumstances because maybe he was right, perhaps you really would hold a hostile environment towards the scribe.
even now, as you were strolling through an appealing, warm evening in sumeru city, you not once had met alhaitham, at this being slightly hopeful that you wouldn't cross paths with him today either.
because you see, it was that time of the month again, the: your brother has, again, forgotten something at home after visiting you, putting on the responsibility on your shoulders to fetch and transport it back to his place.
ordinarily you concluded that at this time of the day kaveh surely must've gotten home by now, you knew his schedule by heart and were quite confident to meet him there right away, knocking on the door as you at last, found your way to the huge place he resided in.
knock, knocking once more, silence ... knock again?
after knocking a total of three times, with no one opening the door for you, your expression slightly changed from normal, to confused, to that of being utterly annoyed.
it's not like you didn't have anything better to do other than being your brothers little assistant or however you wanted to frame it.
since you had been to his place numerous amounts of times before, in addition that you determined that he surely must've fallen asleep again, you decided to check the door handle to see if it was open all along, which it then, was.
(you put an important mental note in the deepest ends of your brain to scold him afterwards for carelessly leaving the door to his home open like this.)
you carefully cradled your fingers around the door handle to pull it down, pushing the door open to let yourself in.
okay, well, maybe it wasn't a smart idea to just straight up enter a home from someone you didn't know, but kaveh was living there for a good amount of time already so you didn't think too much of it.
the second you had entered you swiftly closed the door behind you, the faint breeze from outside scampering around your body as you tightly held onto the two books he forgot at your place, walking towards the living room.
"kaveh?" you spoke, rolling your eyes and deciding to get a bit louder, already being done with this whole, bloody situation, "kaveh!"
once reaching the living room you with, might i add, a bit too much applied strength, violently thumped the books onto the wooden coffee table and huffed out, distressfully folding your arms in front of your body.
"what has that poor table done to you?" you helplessly shrieked the moment you had perceived an unfamiliar, deep voice, the little hairs on the back of your neck standing straight while you were slowly turning around in horror.
"who are you?!" you could say you spoke before actually bringing the whole situation to your mind to thoroughly think about it, leaving the unacquainted man in front of you with a confused look on his face.
"I think i could ask you the same." he was quick to gather a response, flawlessly bringing himself a step closer towards your frame but still leaving enough space between your bodies.
"because you see, this is my house." instead of kindly introducing himself to you, like any other person would, he swiftly walked past your body to plop himself onto the massive couch.
but never keeping his gaze off you, carefully sliding his eyes from your lips, to your exposed collarbones and glissading them over your body until reaching your legs.
it seemed as if he was waiting for a response from you, after all you had now rapidly deducted that this had to be none other than the scribe, alhaitham, himself.
you turned around to slightly lower your gaze to where he was sitting at, nonchalantly sipping on his cup before placing it on the coffee table right next to kaveh's books.
"so .. you must be?" warily, you allocated a question into the room, anxiously swaying in your footing from left to right.
"the owner of this house."
seriously?
the least he could do now was approach you back in kindness instead of making it a dozen amount more difficult for you, as well as embarrassing.
"that's not what i meant." how rude, okay, to give him the benefit of the doubt you were the one who broke into his house but clearly he must've known who you were.
or maybe he actually didn't when you take into account that all kaveh and alhaitham would do was bicker with each other day on day, play pranks or make it as difficult as possible for one another without actually exchanging a normal sounding sentence, once.
"what did you mean then?" casually, he settled back into the couch to withhold the long overdo smirk on his lips, leaning one hand over the frame, his eyes being currently fascinated by your cute lips, pretty eyes, attractive thighs and in confusion, scrunched up face.
or what about the skirt you were wearing, it neatly fit you and magnified your alluring curves, as if it was tailored just for your body to dress in.
what if you were to bend down right now, would the garment expose your cute panties underneath or was it just right, situated under your plump ass? keeping everything hidden from his hungry eyes.
your expression was being somewhat amusing, the hilarity of it all barely being able to be hidden.
"you know what? I'm leaving." attempting to stressfully remove the books off the wooden table, he quickly rose up to confidently sit upright, "wait."
"i assume you're kaveh's sibling?" the worst thing of it all was the tone in his voice, as if he wasn't actually asking you, just proving his own thesis. "yes."
you slowly pulled your shoulders back to appear more poised in your mannerism, standing upright when he suddenly shifted in his seat, scooting as to try to make some space for you.
"i'm alhaitham, though i don't think you've heard many good things about me." at the tip of his sentence, he gently tapped the now empty area next to him with his hand, beckoning you to take a seat.
what harm was there in doing that, right? it appeared as if kaveh wasn't home yet so you could spare some time to wait for him, with alhaitham, of all people.
his voice reverberated a deep, gentle timbre, as well as a controlling chime trussed around it.
you've quietly settled on the couch and exchanged names with him, you were wholly surprised to find such a man, that was for one, in all aspects different from what your brother had originally told you about and second, although he shared a couple intimidating peculiarities— which might be a natural revealing trait from his work, alhaitham was a clever, pleasant person to have a conversation with.
"kaveh is getting held back at the akademiya." he was idly finishing his drink, inconspicuously scurrying a couple inches closer to you.
"you can wait here if you want." you smile at his proposal, situating yourself within reach to better listen to him, "thank you so much, i will."
alhaitham hummed at your sense of utterance, his choice of words was well thought after, his body language too, turning it altogether more clear.
"who knew kaveh's sibling would be so well mannered." he added, understandably focusing on your lips or how they held a glint of sparkly lipgloss on top, "it's so different from him."
how would you taste like? the lipgloss he means.
would it be sticky on his lips? if he kisses you, or taste artificial, maybe a small amount of strawberries, the gloss faded in a translucent tone after all so all he could do was guess.
you're finding yourself awkwardly laughing at his words, "he's not always like that." nodding along, you decided to not dwell on it any longer, it was polite to bring forth your well mannered approach, after all he did open his doors for you ..
.. or you actually did, but he let you stay.
"i don't think kaveh is as polite as you?" he was lingering a bit closer now and for some reason you found the warmth his body set free pacifying.
you're able to fully glance over his facial features, focusing on the small dimples dwindling around the corners of his lips, his multicolored irises or the enticing cologne hanging in midst the air.
your nostrils were slightly flaring, involuntarily memorizing his scent, archons, you couldn't stop yourself from traveling into your thoughts, fighting every square in your body to halter yourself from drifting off into your daydreams.
"uh-" at first, you had no clue he was staring at you the whole, damn time, his hair strands were effortlessly falling around his porcelain skin, intently watching you through his thick lashes, "it depends on the person, i think."
"on the person you say." he trails off before smiling at you, a little coy and intriguing, the right corner of his lips being tucked back into a smirk.
you didn't even realize how close you two have been sitting next to each other by now, only being brought back to reality when you accidentally nudged your knee against his own, pulling in a sharp breath through your nose.
his scent was now heavily falling down on you, much more violent than before. A tease actually, that's what he was and you fell into it head first, your embarrassment cushioning your sweet cheeks with immense warmth as you disconcertingly pushed your thighs together.
so sweet, you never questioned yourself, and what about your brother? would he want you to fuck his roommate, or maybe, try and kiss him right now? and you know you shouldn't, obviously.
you could just fantasize about it after getting your ass up to leave this place, or this suffocating heat he effortlessly inflicted on you with nothing more than his pretty eyes delving daggers into your sweet skin.
but you wanted to taste it, the actual thing, his plump lips, you weren't this captivated by a person in a long time and it somehow scared you away, almost that is, because right now you were still sitting next to him, your knees playfully rubbing and nudging together.
his hand suddenly moves from his side to yours, gently being placed on top of your swaying thigh, massaging the soft skin when he noticed your slight shaking.
you returned his call, attempting to close the distance when he suddenly spoke again, "what would your brother say to this?" you only realize his hand wandering down more close when he rubbed painfully slow circles into the insides of your warm thigh, "would he be surprised, mad or furious?"
you're whining, he didn't even touch you on your burning little sensation and you were already helplessly heaving out, soft cries prickling from your throat to escape your lips.
"he doesn't have to know— please." this whole situation had your body tear each square of control off you and you were wondering what you were begging for in the first place.
perhaps to alhaitham— to keep his mouth shut in front of your brother, or maybe, you were additionally begging him to finally touch your clothed pussy with the flimsy material of your panties being drenched with nothing but your slick.
"Mm, please?" he's acting innocent, gently tipping his head to the side as his hand delved deeper, carefully pushing past your skirt, cupping your wet heat at once. "ah— there we go."
a single finger worked against you as you silently cried out, resting your forehead against his own while spreading your legs a little farther away.
it's only his middle finger but it still felt big, his build was remarkable and you could perceive a couple veins accentuating the back of his muscular arm rubbing circles on your clothed clit.
"you're wet there." he notes almost immediately, "what were you thinking about this whole time?" oh how sweet you were, the ticklish sensation of his knuckles ghosting on your skin had you giddy on the inside, your toes curling in your shoes. "n-nothing."
you deny whatever he thought about yet alhaitham knew better than this, way better, the amount of essence that coated his fingertips was too much evidence for you to blatantly repudiate his questions.
"pull up your shirt." he's fast, whispering against your neck when he instantaneously planted wet, open mouthed kisses on the thin skin, roughly slithering his tongue over it.
you do as he commands, quickly discarding your shirt but not completely, only letting the garment clutch over your breasts that were covered by your bra.
"good girl." you're trembling at the nickname, in your seat greedily burying your hands into his soft hair to pull him closer to your neck, letting him plant gentle bites and nips on you while simultaneously skimming his finger over your shielded folds.
"can you—" before you could finish, you stopped yourself from speaking, your attention being redirected by your sensitive little clit being pinched on.
you're throwing your head back at the slightly painful, yet fiery touch on you, "ah, please, more!" the anticipation in you to finally have his fingers deep inside your pussy, stirred up the adrenaline in your blood, yanking one of your legs over his own as alhaitham pulled you closer.
"more?" you clearly caught his interest, he lightly taps your clit with his middle finger before adding another one, your thighs instantly jolting up at the applied friction of another digit. "like this?"
"yeah— like this." you weakly responded, your voice a tone higher, alhaitham huffed out his warm breath on your damp neck that was wholly and sloppily glazed with his saliva when you smiled airily at him, resting your head against his comforting shoulder.
you're suddenly crying out, biting back a delicate whine when he gingerly hooked his fingers into the garment to at last, meet your exposed cunt, licking his lips at the sight.
if only your face wasn't so mesmerizing to look at while he's scissoring your tiny hole, alhaitham wanted to map it all out, your little pussy, every single inch, embed it into his perverted mind and jerk himself off at the thought of it afterwards.
he's greedily pulling your panties down, letting the flimsy material loosely dangle around your ankle as he positioned your leg back up on his own, watching your fluttering hole clench down on his curled up fingers.
if it wasn't for his other hand holding you open you were sure you would've suffocated the blood in his other arm by the way you wanted to push your thighs together around him, messily riding his digits with your bare cunt.
"i love how you feel down there." he shamelessly threw into the room, as if he didn't even care how shameful this situation was in its entirety, "you feel so good clamping down on me like that."
he smiles when he caught you yank your hips up a bit, meeting his pace midway, the raw squelching sounds of his fingers selfishly digging into your squishy walls rang through the big living room, your eyes squiring a glassy expression by the force alhaitham was going for.
"what if your brother comes in now?" at this, you reasonably gasped, desiring to actually smack that stupid grin off his face, "d-don't say that!" you mutter inaudibly as you're tucking him closer, your breasts cramming onto his chest when he looked at you, "really now?"
"imagine poor kaveh sitting on this couch afterwards." alhaitham heaved, abruptly pecking your lips when you deducted that this was the first time he had kissed you, at all, "the same couch I'm finger fucking his sibling on, right now."
you're moaning out screaming when he added a third and final finger, splitting your tiny hole with his thick digits and curling up, nudging the hammering spots deep within in your creamy walls.
his inappropriate choice of words had your mind turn hazy, liquifying all the rational thoughts in your body and turning them to nothing at all, dissolving them and replacing them with filthy, perverted things.
you could name it a carnal desire when you decided to hungrily kiss him, capture his plump lips with teeth colliding against each other.
it wasn't as tasteful as you thought it would be at first, the built up tension made it quite difficult to focus on two tasks at the same time, in addition to how hard alhaitham was fucking your tingling cunt.
yet alhaitham didn't mind, he wholly welcomed you, circling his wet muscle over your own as he pushed you deeper into the couch, adoring how your thighs began to vibrate from the sense of overstimulation he was capable to inflict on you throughout seconds.
how was it possible for him to be so good at this, so fucking skilled at pleasuring you senseless?
really, he only had met you today and you couldn't even remember another time when you were this needy, this wet and filthy minded because of another person.
"I think I'm close." you mewl out, your eyes being low lidded and beginning to strain from merely holding them open. Alhaitham snickered at your words, desperately suckling on your lips as he further amplified the tempo on your pussy. "close you say?"
he worked like magic, truly, it was addicting to be with him, the pleasure in you was heavily boiling, more so when your sensitive nipples began to roughly rub over the edge of your bra, your areolae being half exposed for his hungry, desiring eyes.
he was quick to pull himself away from your swollen lips, instead drawing himself to one of your nipples to encircle it in his warm mouth, greedily suckling in his breath to nibble on your tit while carrying on with his relentless pace on your cunt.
your lips twitch when you clasped them together, his finger pads grazing through the squishy flesh when your body tensed up, your hands having no other choice than to cradle around his neck, finally letting your orgasm wash over you.
"come on." his voice was raspy, "we're running out of time, you can do it, pretty." at his words you were helplessly scrunching your eyes shut, to half of his sentence you didn't even listen to, it was clear that the brutality of his touch alone would leave you sore, painfully sore but also yearning for him to do it once again.
you're limply grinding your hips into his hand a couple more times when you vehemently released into him, his palm being utterly drenched in your filthy slick while his thumb was carrying on to roll over your overstimulated clit.
you're moaning out his name, it felt silly to do it, to say it like that as if you were actually familiar with each other, contradicting the reality which was that you had just met him, not even hours ago.
"would you look at yourself." he purrs, alhaitham was lazily digging his fingers into your swollen cunt, captivated by your exhausted body listlessly leaning back, your chest heaving up and down and your thighs tightly clamping around his arm.
it was far too humiliating to look at him, to even speak back or say something.
because why, the moment you'd be brought back to reality, after a good fucking orgasm, all the problems would scrub over you in an instant, not even giving you additional time to bath in your deserved afterglow.
you noisily peaked between your legs with your loose cunt being still filled by his thick digits, noticing a dampened splotch underneath.
"you ruined my couch." he's noting before messily pulling out of you, his fingers being drenched in your sticky mess and quietly connecting to your cunt with a string of your essence holding you together.
"i— i didn't do it on purpose." you panic, not catching on that he was actually being sarcastic with you.
alhaitham for once, broke off the attention from your body, locating it to his soaked fingers before slowly opening his mouth, placing them on top of his tongue and closing his lips around it.
your eyes grew wide, the downright sinful look on his face had you hypnotized, another rush of excitement pistoling into you.
you find yourself staring without shame, drooling over the fact that alhaitham began to groan around his fingers, slurping them clean while searching for your gaze to hold them close to his own.
you were sure you were never going to get rid of this picture in your memories, you'll have it installed in your deepest depths forever.
when he was done, he carefully slid them off his lips, attempting to say something if it wasn't for a sudden noisy sound echoing through the heavy, of intimacy smelling, room.
you turned around in horror as you watched the door handle of the front door get pulled down, immediately alhaitham grabbed onto your shirt to drag it down your breasts, hiding your bare skin as he searched for a pillow to cover the obvious, painful erection in his pants.
"hey idiot, i'm home." the voice was sadly, very familiar, kaveh was now home.
kaveh? your brother! the one you were actually seeking out in the first place.
in a strive to look for your panties you lowered your gaze, yet being unable to spot them all over the floor when your brother walked into the living room at last.
"why is it so hot in here? oh—" his words instantly died in his throat the moment he had seen you sit next to his roommate, his eyes dramatically twitching, "what are you doing here?"
"what have you done?!" kaveh was quick to point whatever blame he could find on alhaitham, thankfully being oblivious to the fact that he rearranged your guts just a few moments ago.
"he did nothing, i promise!" you awkwardly laughed at the silence while clumsily getting up, innocently pushing your skirt down, "i was here to bring you your books and bumped into al— alhaitham!"
"no need to worry kaveh, i was only trying to make conversation." alhaitham sheepishly explained with an overly pleased smile on his face, yet not getting up, the big pillow resting on top of his pulsing crotch.
"whatever." kaveh rolled his eyes, being slightly irritated by the way you were so out of breath, deducting that alhaitham must've been a pain in the ass, overwhelming his poor, little sibling. "come on, lets get to my room."
as he went on to grab the books on the coffee table, you awkwardly ventured your gaze to alhaitham, just one last time, catching him stare at you before he playfully winked, darting his eyes away.
"lets go." kaveh was angry, cursing himself that he should've come home sooner, lightly pulling your arm so you'd follow him.
the moment alhaitham had heard the door of kaveh's bedroom close, he quickly disposed of the pillow on his lap, exposing your damp panties sticking to his pants.
you don't mind, do you?
you probably have a quite remarkable collection of underwear he has to see one day, until then, he'll give it his all to make good use of your panties ..
.. maybe even now, to fuck his stiff cock into the cloth while you're in your brother's room, without underwear, sore with your pussy still memorizing his slender, calloused fingers rubbing on your flesh.
yes, he might as well do it now.

Tumblr media
zhongli met you for the first time when you came to the harbor on a extensive, work-related trip. some sort of negotiation at the port with certain shipment partners and possible trade opportunities. you had come from port ormos in sumeru, so he imagined you would get moving onto inazuma for the same thing before long. as luck would have it, you never made it that far before the nation of electro closed its borders. so, at that point, you were now essentially stuck in land of geo for the foreseeable future.
he had run into you when you were appraising some goods that had come in with a group of merchants ; those specific good were on your list to inspect to see if they would offer anything worth decent mora. perhaps it was fate that when he had passed behind your back, he heard you murmuring something about not knowing enough about a certain vase's story painted it on with aged, chipped paint. zhongli was the walking know-it-all of liyue, so of course without prompting, he flit over to your side and explained what you were looking at for you (after scaring you since you didn't hear him walk up beside you and instead of a proper 'hello' he just jumped straight into the explanation).
from then, he would often see you at the docks. clipboard in hand or a ledger of some sort that you would be reviewing. on the rare occasion, he would just see you strolling around with nothing on your hands so he took it upon himself to occupy the free time you seemed to use by relishing in the sea breeze.
you had been in liyue for over a year when zhongli's heart dropped deep into his stomach. his very core filled with dread as you inform him that since inazuma had finally lifted their restrictions, your work would soon resume as usual. you would soon be relocated to the far-off islands of electro. the tea he had been delightfully sharing with you previously now tasted too bitter on his tongue to continue drinking at the news.
"will you ever return?" his voice was quiet, not nearly as confident and proud as he usually was. it resembled a child asking if their best friend who was due to move away would ever visit them again.
the relationship you grew into with zhongli was special to both of you. he treated you so well and educated you in things you were clueless about. you confided in him and when liyue was at risk of drowning, you were the one who he ran to first when all was settled. you still remember that night so vividly.
you were at the harbor- as usual- but instead of working, you were helping pull stranded milieth out of the sea or helping people getting further inland as the waves violently warned you of doom. when the ocean calmed and the storm clouds that plagued the sky dissipated, you felt a weight off your chest. as you checked around to make sure people were alright, you were quickly snatched away by your wrist. being dragged off to a more secluded corner of the harbor docks behind a stack of, now storm weathered, crates.
zhongli had never understood the phrase 'word vomiting', but what he told you behind those damaged and rain-soaked crates was most definitely so. his gnosis had just been traded, no longer in his possession, and he could finally, finally tell you everything. it definitely wasn't how it was supposed to happen. his whole identity spilled in the span of a several ramble while shakily holding onto your wrists like you'd float off to sea if he didn't anchor you down next to him.
"of course i'll come back." you reassure him. his hand releases it's soft grip around his teacup and lays the back of it on the table like it had given up on keep any sort of grip on anything. you understand his silent offer and place your palm on top of his. "i promise. as soon as my work in inazuma is finished and i get everything completed in sumeru, i'll come and visit you as often as i can."
feeling your pulse on the junction under the heel of your hand, he knew you were being truthful. of course, you hadn't lied to him before so he would believe anything you said regardless of the circumstances; though perhaps that was his own personal bias in a way. you could tell him you were the reason the sun rose every morning and he'd believe you- you shone so brightly in his eyes, so naturally that must be why.
you chuckle from across the table and he looks at your quizzically. you tap your fingers rhythmically across his wrist that's covered in brown fabric. your opposite arm comes to rest its elbow on the table and your palm supports your cheek.
"what me to make a contract just so you feel better?" zhongli blinks before he's craking a smile back towards yours.
"you jest too much."
"do i?"
"it's endearing."
your 'contract' is just sealed as an earnest promise he'd keep in his chest until you come back to him. on the day of your parting, zhongli kisses the back of your hand, your knuckles, and your cheek.
"for safe travels, swift work, and my sincerities," he had justified. you returned his affection with a kiss to the underside of his jaw.
"for no reason other than i want to." zhongli kisses your lips for the very same reason before you board your ship that takes you far, far away from him. he doesn't account the time he spent watching your ship sail further away with his hands behind his folded ever so neatly back until it was completely out of sight. he stares at the horizon and almost wishes that it would bring you back.
it doesn't.
it doesn't.
so, zhongli waits.
the lord of geo has been alive for millennia, so the passage of time was something inane to him now. a few years is attuned to that of a blink in the grand scheme of his long, long lifetime. however, those years he spent without you at his side or in his shadow felt like centuries.
mortals squander their time, fleeting at it is, and they know they will never live forever. they will fill it with new things every day because it could be their last- they would never know when their time would come.
"it's been a long year" or month or day; all those phrases zhongli hears and agrees to in mundane conversations- but mostly just so he can identify and align with the masses as an unquestionable human. he never understood those phrases. yesterday was as long as today and will be as long as tomorrow and so forth.
the years you spent gone with only letters sent back and forth between the both of you made him feel closer to morality than anything else before. the days did feel longer. the years felt dragging. the months felt stretched. it felt like time was slowing down, dawdling and twiddling its thumbs while he was stuck suffering in its demanding sluggish waves.
it made him feel human. the terrible impatience for something or someone to come back home. the agony of the wait and the suspense on if it would happen at all. and while he wishes to feel closer to mortal life and connect to his people in such ways- this way- this game of time just made him irritated.
zhongli didn't remember the last time he had felt impatience so thick, but it began gnawing at his insides with the last letter he had received.
'my work has finally concluded, so i'll be coming back to liyue as soon as i send this letter out to you!'
those were your final remarks penned by your hand before it made it into his. when did you send this? a week ago? two? he didn't know. you neglected to date it. every day he goes to the harbor, checking morning, noon and evening to see what ships have sailed in and if you'd be on one. or perhaps you would be coming from sumeru by means of the west by the chasm, coming on foot and would simply waltz into the city.
zhongli didn't know and each day felt longer and longer.
it turns out, the horizon did bring you back to him. it just took it's sweet time in doing so.
out on the harbor once again, a ship was docking, and he saw you before you saw him. the back of your head moving as you help people unload their cargo and help them off the ship before you dismount yourself. it had been years since he had seen you, but he would never forget what you looked like. the features that wouldn't change.
walking- gaiting- down to the harbor's lowest levels was the giddiest he had probably felt in his whole life. antsy. his chest was a mess, it felt like farmers were tilling into his insides. as he stood off to the side of the dock, mindful not to block anyone's path into the harbor. his foot tapping, and hands opening and closing in repetition just for something to do with all his antsy jitters.
you must've spotted him when he was lost in his own mind since it was his name coming from the voice he memorized years ago that turned his head. you were leaning over a stack of crates that you were previously helping unload, waving so enthusiastically he was afraid you'd swing your arm into someone's head.
zhongli is someone who is very aware of affection in public areas with lots of eyes darting around. he was reserved in a way that he feels his affections were best left to the privacy of him and his choice partner. this day was an exception since the moment you were within his reach, you were crashing into his chest, and he was holding you prisoner there.
he could feel your pulse under his hand that held behind your neck to keep your head pushed against his chest. your warmth from the sun that had bathed you the morning voyage back to him. the smell of the sea breeze against your clothes and skin.
it was evident that you had changed over the years- an evitable happen stance he expected. you were only human after all. but you were still the same as he remembered. you were comfortable and warm and safe and here.
when zhongli finally returned some freedom to your range, which wasn't very far since his hands still settled comfortably on your hips, he mapped out exactly how you changed in comparison to his memories with his roaming gaze.
"how long will you be staying?" he asks.
"how long can liyue put up with me?" you answer and you feel his chest rumble in a chuckle under your palms that rest there. "i'm not sure yet. i plan on staying at wangshuu inn for the time though."
"nonsense." zhongli shakes his head and one of his hands leave your hip to brush the back of his knuckle against your cheek down to the corner of your mouth. "my home has more than enough space to accommodate your presence."
"i was going to ask," you pout and feel your face get hotter, but it wasn't because of the sun, "but i didn't want to feel like i was imposing."
"please do. you're more than welcome to 'impose' on me anytime you wish." you give in quickly much to his delight. you hoist your bags up, which he promptly takes from you without so much as breaking a sweat, and offers you his other arm. "we have much to catch up on."
when hu tao hears that you had come back to liyue, she suddenly isn't so upset that zhongli never returned to work that day.

NPC Life is the best
(Genshin Impact x gn reader - sagau)
(second person pov)
part5 —> part6
——————————————————
The light from the morning sun trickles between the cracks of the drawn curtains, waking you from your deep slumber. That was probably the best sleep you’ve gotten in ages! Must’ve been from all the walking you did the day prior. Glancing over at the well made bed stand, you remember that you were currently in the hospitality of Mr. Diluc himself. Slipping out of bed, you go into the restroom to start your day.
After cleaning yourself and dressing into your now clean clothing that Adeline had magically made shiny, you stretch with a satisfied smile as your appearance was put together one more.
you grab your magical bag and slip on your shoes before heading out the door. When you finally reach the first floor, you can tell that there is a presence lacking inside the manor. Turning around you see Adeline and another maid talking amongst themselves. Curious, you approach them.
“is somthing wrong?” You ask Adeline curiously.
“no no, everything is fine. Master Diluc is out on a short trip to Springvale so if you’d like to talk to him in person you’ll have to wait for a bit” Adeline kindly informs you. “Do you need to speak with him?”
shaking your head you sheepishly reply “not really, I just wanted to thank him again for allowing me to stay at dawn winery. But seeing as though he’s busy right now, I’ll just leave him a thank you note.”
Adeline smiles in agreement before going over to the small desk placed on the left wing of the manor. Returning, she hands you a piece of paper, a quill, and a small bottle of ink.
thanking Adeline quietly, you bring your supplies to the dinner table at the center of the living room. After a bit of thinking you finally finish drafting up your short thank you note.
dear Diluc,
thank you for your hospitality and kindness. I know it won’t be everyday that I get treated so nicely, so I’m happy to say that yesterday was great! Please remember to take care of yourself, and don’t forget to get lots of sleep.
from Y/n.
smiling with pride , you leave your amazingly written note with Adeline who promises to get it to Diluc as soon as he is home. after thanking Adeline for her hospitality, you step out of the manor to the crisp air of grapes and nature. Hmm where to next?
if you want to follow the story it would be, Mondstadt to Liyue, Liyue to Inazuma, Inazuma to Sumeru, and Sumeru to Fontaine. Tapping your bag lightly, you decide to just follow the traveler’s path since you’ll at least know your way through that.
the sun has risen but it is still early in the morning which means you might get to wangshu inn before nightfall. Might. Though you are an adult, your fear of the dark has never really gone away. Before hand, you were in the lit city of Mondstadt and after that you were in the protection of the Darknight Hero. So in all honesty, you’ve never truly walked alone at night in this world before.
shivering slightly at the thought, you push those thoughts at the back of your mind as you begin walking down the path to Stone Gate.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
After a calm walk you spot the towering mountains and find yourself finally at stone gate! Smiling with new found energy, you make your way down to the wooden platform housing a small tea stall and other such things. Your eyes graze over the tea menu as you make your way down the wooden steps and back onto the gravely path. Although you know that the small tea stall was made for travelers to rest at, it was quite hard to forget your tight time schedule.
the sun had slightly shifted its position to one that seems to resemble a little over mid day and that was enough of a reason for you to quicken your steps. There could be slimes blocking the path or treasure hunters lurking the area to steal anyone’s goods.. that uncertainty made it your quickening steps all the more reasonable.
You find yourself drawn to the scenery of things but quickly remind yourself of the important task at hand. Your speedy feet manage to get you to dihua marsh quite quickly and you decide to give it a quick stop to admire the statue of the seven. Wiping away a little sweat that had accumulated on your forehead, you step up the aged stone steps to come face to face with the statue of Liyue’s beloved deity. Well, former deity but you get the point. It’s a wonder to you how people don’t see the striking resemblance between Zhongli and the human statue of Rex Lapis.
The stone of the statue looked so smooth and the features of Rex Lapis and um his rock hard abs were very captivating. What would happen if you touched a statue of the seven? Would you get powers like the traveler or would you alert the archon about you presence.. those 50/50 odds were not one you wanted to test so you decided to keep your hands from grazing the smooth stone.
Stepping back onto path you can’t help but feel a pair of watching eyes staring at you. Looking around you find nothing but the sound of chirping birds and playful slimes that for some reason aren’t bothered by your presence. maybe it was just your paranoia.
warily turning back to the path you find your steps to be more careful than they were before. The little voice in your head tells you that there is someone there, someone watching. But you tell yourself to be unbothered by the invisible gaze as you continue down the path.
another hour has passed and it seems that your fretting was for naught as the sun still looms in the sky when you approach the magnificent Wangshu Inn! You didn’t think it be such a game changer to see the tree building in person but seeing it as it is now is surly something to put on a bucket list. You finally let loose as the bustling sounds of people wandering about brings you the relaxing thought that you are no longer alone.
Stepping onto the wooden deck at the foot of Wangshu inn, you look around to see many tables, crates, and small stalls dotting the area. The smell of Liyue cuisine brought a smile to your face and a low groan from your belly. Right.. you hadn’t eaten since yesterday and now with the delicious smells wafting in the air you would understand your stomach’s impatience.
plopping down at a bamboo table set up for guests and diners, you look at the menu with wonder. Shrimp sounds good.. ooo but so does bamboo shoot soup.. mmm and crab sounds delicious.. too many to choose!
you continue looking at the menu before deciding to order the stir fry shrimp and almond tofu. After your waiter jots down your order you find yourself able to look around at the scenery. Calming waters, pretty trees, yellow plains, and green mountains drew the scenery. You never thought you’d be able to see a thing like this, but here you are.
as you stay lost in thought looking at the peaceful scenery, a graceful figure quietly approaches you.
“May I sit here?”

okay but the fact that we hear all about kaveh's life post-fall out with alhaitham, the fact he graduated, worked at construction firms and continued taking on others' burdens, had a hard time finding solo work because of how arts are perceived in sumeru, that he went to his mother's wedding in fontaine, that he took a vacation from work because he was stifled by the environment and felt he had lost motivation and worth as an artist, was determined to complete the palace of alcazarzaray at the cost of everything he owned just to have a tangible object of his efforts and view of art only for its outcome to further emaciate him, until he meets alhaitham for the first time in years, is understood at once, has no need to don a front as he does for everyone else in his life, is listened to, is challenged once more and reinvigorated in his perception of his ideals, is offered a second chance, a home, and accepts it, although he cannot comprehend why alhaitham would offer such a thing and yet not ask anything of relevant substance in return, other than rent
all of this, and we hear virtually nothing of alhaitham's life post-fall out with kaveh, besides his graduation and his taking on the job of the scribe. his character stories omit this part of his life whereas kaveh's is full of detail and emotion, mostly suffering. the first instance we see of alhaitham in this time is from kaveh's perspective when the two meet again in the tavern, and in this alhaitham endeavours to understand kaveh once more, before offering his house - the research centre previously allocated to the both of them for the success of their joint thesis before they fell apart - to kaveh.
we don't know why alhaitham moved out of his grandmother's house and into the research centre, why he renovated it from a research centre into a livable home, only that he did so after kaveh informed alhaitham through a third party that he was not in need of a house, nor do we know his thought processes and emotions in the years spent apart - the years that are carefully documented in kaveh's character stories. the image we are presented with is that of stasis; alhaitham pursues no other close friendships, he works as the scribe, owns a nice house within sumeru, is financially secure, and functions within, and carries out, his own ideals - is content with this way of life. in this, from alhaitham's perspective, there are no details necessary to give from this time
but in inviting kaveh to live with him, his character stories tell us that what he gains by doing so is the mirror of himself, both in personality and scholarly thinking, and in this, he is able to gain an enhanced view of the world, which otherwise would be limited. with kaveh being present in alhaitham's life, alhaitham believes that his vision is perfected, whereas it could not be before, with kaveh's absence. it is in this that we hear what alhaitham has been missing in his life, and ultimately, it is kaveh, not just as a scholar, but as a person
what is omitted from alhaitham's character stories is provided in kaveh's character stories; where we hear about kaveh's struggles, we don't hear about alhaitham's. perhaps this is because alhaitham did not struggle as kaveh did in terms of realising and achieving his ideals, but instead his struggles were in silence, recognising that his vision, and himself, had been compromised because he had rejected the ideals that served to enhance his own vision, that he had inadvertently rejected, and thus had been rejected by, kaveh.

a lesson in truth.
Tumblr media
It had been a long, long time since your death, and many things had happened in the puppet’s life. The Balladeer, Scaramouche, had fallen, his efforts to become a true God thwarted by the Traveler and the God of Wisdom. Everything was for naught, and now he was reduced to a mere shell of his former power.
Now, Scaramouche had found himself at the beck and call of Sumeru’s Archon and assisting the blonde-haired Traveler. It was not what he planned to be, but he had accepted this outcome, for there was nothing else for him to do. Though having that bothersome fairy talk nonstop was certainly grating for his ears.
When he connected to Irminsul, he didn’t think you would pop up in the saplings. Scaramouche wasn’t even trying to look for you on purpose, rather, the piece of hidden information stuck out to him and he had to know what was calling him so badly. He brought the bright sapling in front of him despite the yelling of the Traveler’s companion in the background, itching to know what it would show him. Instantly, a memory of you flooded into the minds of Scaramouche, the Traveler, Paimon, and Nahida. The former Harbinger gasped at the sight of you, many emotions flowing through him at once.
“Ack?! What’s happening?” Paimon yelled, half confused from the sudden intrusion of her mind by a smiling person. Even the Traveler could not help but be surprised, for they did not know who this mysterious person was. Nahida remained silent, only vaguely aware of who you were. She would only learn more of the story now. But Scaramouche had tuned all of them out. All he could focus on was the extremely vivid memory Irminsul provided him with of you. The one he loved, no, still loves so much.
The first thing he was shown was the day you two confessed to each other. The puppet remembers the moment clear as day, but seeing it happen once again right in front of him was a different story. You were so close, he wanted to simply reach out and touch you once more, but you were so far away at the same time…
“Eh? Is that… The Balladeer? He looks so different… and that outfit! And that person is so close to him, what are they-” Paimon interrupted herself with a dramatic gasp as you two declared love for each other, only for Kabukimono to begin crying into your chest as you stroked his hair. “Oh wow…” Paimon’s voice was much more quiet now, “Paimon didn’t know The Balladeer could be like that.” Scaramouche’s eyebrow twitched in annoyance at the conversation, but going through Irminsul’s records of you was more important right now.
He revisited so many parts of his life - the time he cut his fingers while cutting carrots and then got excited over a boo-boo kiss (to which Paimon giggled only to quickly shut up at the puppet’s expression.) He skimmed over the multitude of naps he took with you and came across the time you were gravely injured by those samurai. He paused there, unconsciously swallowing at the sight of the sword slashing you and the blood splattering across his face. The other three onlookers remained in silence because it would be far too cruel to comment even with the tense terms they had with The Balladeer.
The next pocket of memories was much more light-hearted, with you celebrating his birthday for the first time, baking a cake, and gifting him his cherished comb. The growling of Paimon’s stomach and her compliment of your baking skills didn’t go unnoticed by him. She wasn’t wrong, after all. Now, the Lavender Melon tree that the two of you planted together appeared.
He wishes he saved a part of the tree before it burned to the ground. Perhaps he could have regrown it if he had its branch. But it was far too late for that now.
Moving onto the next memory, Traveler swiftly covered their travel guide’s eyes at the sight of yours and Kabukimono’s nude bodies in the bathtub together, while the small girl whined and complained. Scaramouche abruptly stopped after this. The next memory… he knew what it was going to be, and he dreaded it. Once again, he was showered in all of these lovely memories with you only to be assaulted with the reality of this cruel world at the end.
“Hey, why did you stop? Paimon wants to see more of [Name]!” Scaramouche didn’t have the energy to react to her comment.
“Paimon…” The Archon gently chided her with a lingering sadness.
“Eh? Nahida, why do you sound like that?” Paimon’s question was answered in no time as the puppet bit the bullet and finally moved on to the last memory. There you were, brushing his hair and holding him for one final time, giving him the last kiss he’d ever receive from your lips. Scaramouche’s face was expressionless as he gazed at the final memories of you in Irminsul. But there was no need for expression when the emotion in his eyes told it all. Not even Paimon could bring herself to jab at the puppet anymore when the sincere longing for you was ever so present in his eyes. Although, despite the tender scene, Paimon and the Traveler could sense the apprehension coming from their former enemy’s body and tensed up in nervousness too.
This was it. Scaramouche would see how you succumbed, sacrificing yourself for him so he could survive the dangers of the furnace. If he were able to hold his breath, he would be doing so now. Only that… what he saw was not the truth that he had told him. When he saw Niwa murdered by Escher- no, Dottore, he had a horrible feeling sink into his entire body.
He was right.
The deceived puppet saw the truth of the Tatarasuna Incident. The way you passionately defended him. The way your face paled and you struggled to breathe, tears rolling down your cheeks, lying at the mechanic’s feet. The way your heart was viciously ripped out by Escher and your body discarded elsewhere, without even a proper farewell. You never sacrificed yourself for him, nor did the others kill you. It was never your fault. Nothing was. It was Escher’s, or rather the Doctor’s… And Niwa too, he… everything was one big lie. His head was clouded and spinning so much he couldn’t hear the Traveler’s and Paimon’s muffled words of horror at the sight. He couldn’t take it. He needed to exit Irminsul’s memories now or-
But for some reason, another memory forced its way into Scaramouche’s mind. His eyes widened at this, and he realized that he didn’t recognize this particular memory. Despite his head and heart pounding at the true cause of your death, he found it in him to pay attention one last time. He would always pay attention to you.
You were at a desk, a mostly blank paper in front of you and a pen twirling in your fingers. Multiple crumpled papers lay in the bin next to you, a few on the floor instead. You seemed to be contemplating very hard about what to write. You would write a sentence, squint your eyes at it, and then sigh, toss it, and begin anew.
“Ugh, how does one go about writing a letter for another to read after their death?” His expression darkened at your words. You were writing a letter to give him after you died? Though, for your morbid words, you looked more disappointed in yourself than sad. “Nothing I say seems to feel right…” You sighed to yourself before putting your pen to paper once more.
“To my dearest Kabukimono… if you are reading this, it means I have passed on and I am no longer with you. We both knew this day would come, I being a mortal, and you being a divine creation… Regardless, I do not know what our relationship will be like so many years in the future, but at the time I am writing this, I hope it continues to be the most loving and healthy one in all of Teyvat.”
“I know your tender heart must be destroyed by my departure from this world. But please, do not despair too much. I know you will grieve and miss me terribly, but do not let it consume or change you. You are a kind person, and do not let anyone change that, not even me. Please. As long as you carry our memories together in you, you will be fine, no matter where you go.”
“I do not know how or when I’ll die, but I hope it’s after many, many years of being with the love of my life. I hope we spent every last moment together, and I hope I taught you enough to live on without me. I love you so much, Kabukimono.”
“...” You stared in silence after that little paragraph, before crumpling it and throwing it at the wall in frustration. “Nope! No! It’s not good enough for Kabukimono,” you sighed, giving up. “I’ll just stop doing this for now. I’m not dying anytime soon anyway, there’s no need to hurry up and write this anyway,” you grumbled to yourself before cleaning up the area and permanently discarding the balled-up papers. Your pouting expression was the last thing he saw before he removed himself from the sapling’s data.
Exiting the Iriminsul’s memories, he clutched his head, reeling from the onslaught of memories he visited again. This was far more than a cruel joke. And to see that last memory, to see you so lively and excited to spend your entire life with him? Having no idea what your fate would be in the end? It was wholly wicked, evil, and ghastly, not to mention how ironic it was that he ended up being the complete opposite of what you wished for. And it was all because of one person. A mad grin appeared on his face.
“Dottore… Dottore… haha… hahahaha!” The puppet wildly laughed, before it became a mixture of broken laughter and wheezing, restricted sobs. He ignored the prattling of the two people behind him and the calm voice of Nahida because it meant nothing now. He had been deceived this whole time, the Doctor forcing him to look at you as some kind of betrayer when in reality it was the farthest thing from the truth. He’s sorry. For once in Scaramouche’s life, he is so, so, sorry. You deserve better.
Scaramouche wonders what you would say if you could see him now. Would you be disappointed? Scared? Hate him? You’d be surprised for sure, at least. You probably wouldn’t recognize this coldhearted and distant puppet who was once so bright and cheerful. He was nothing like Kabukimono. Would you still love him, knowing that he was so different from the man you fell in love with?
But there’s no need to wonder about what-ifs. Such things were pointless and a waste of time, knowing that you weren’t ever coming back. At least, that was what he always thought. But now he has another solution.
You had always told him that you would never betray him.
He wished he believed you. He wished you had another chance at life, a chance to be happy and live out all of your days in well-deserved peace, even if it meant he wasn’t there with you. And he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to try to make that happen.
And so the puppet erased himself from the world.

gn! s/o reacting to his new outfit
warnings: 3.2/3.3 story spoiler??, posted before 3.2 update and story quest, self indulgent fluff because i love him so much, we waited for our dude for now almost TWO YEARS, happy scaramouche day scaramouche nation
Tumblr media
✧ seeing him in blue was rather new to you, in all honesty, it actually shocked you when he finally showcased himself to you, his arms crossed before his chest as he waited for you to react to his new outfit
✧ after seeing the same black and red for years and not even the slightest change in his wardrobe either (as he said he had no need for new clothing), the sheer surprise on your face was to be expected
✧ you rubbed your eyes once, then twice, and then blinked real hard multiple times before looking back up at his face, but he only frowned at your reaction
✧ did he look bad? why do you react like that? not that i mattered to him, but regardless...
✧ you had to explain to him that blue was a completely new color on him, but in a positive way. after all, even his old hat was gone (however, you did mourn the veil that was now missing on him)
✧ when he scoffs at your excitement, you're happy that his attitude did not change - or rather, his god complex and huge ego combined with his superiority complex did tone down to an extent where he's finally able to keep up a conversation without looking down on everyone all the time (he still sneered at the traveler when he first saw them again, though paimon was quick to remind him of his defeat)
✧ his plan to become sumeru's new god failed and you couldn't be happier, especially after you saw the glowing anemo vision proudly attached to a cloth right before his chest, where his heart should be (a nice choice of placement was your only thought as you saw it for the first time)
✧ though you knew scaramouche well enough to know that he'd never admit to be amazed by the small gemstone, the smirk he gives you tells you otherwise - he can try and hide it all he wants, but you can figure out his true feelings behind that snarky gremlin face
✧ he prides himself a little over your reaction. it was expected of him to look good in whatever he wears, so it didn't surprise him that you were like this. he looks good whatever he wears
✧ if you want to continue following him, he won't try to stop you. after coming to a,,, mutual agreement with the traveler on how things are going to continue after he tried to kill them after he decided that he made up his mind, if you follow him even after betraying your trust just a little he'll be more than glad to let you accompany him
✧ you two regularly would head to tatarasuna and tend to katsuragi's grave whenever there was time to do so
✧ while his new fit did not change the fact that he was a litte shit at times, receiving his vision did change his view on the world - in your eyes, that also reflected in how bright his outfit was now, considering that before he wore the same monotonous black for years and now a bright and refreshing blue
✧ and sometimes you can sense that he's also happy about this change

imagine if reader is given an ancient scripture from around the time humanity founded out how to write and do the alphabet (somehow it was preserved so well that you can still see the words with no issue)
and it's the most heart wrenching, soul crushing, tear inducing, hyperventilating, sanity disappearing angst, misunderstandings, hurt/no comfort, it gets worse but never better, major character death, unrequited love story to have ever existed in teyvat.
and after reader goes through the whole thing, they can barely talk or breathe properly with how much they're crying.
(even better, it was smut not angst and reader is staring ar the scripture, jaw dropped to the floor with shaking hands.)
STOP- I avoid fanfics like that at all costs 😭 id stop reading it after the first angsty event LMAO
Im like... too emotionally affected by fanfics, esp angst ones 💀
Its just, ppl who write closer to my generation or just very psychologically honestly, are like fucking deadly writers. Got my day ruined and shit w/just fanfics 😭
Tumblr media
LMAO THE GIF IS JUST YOU ON THE SPOT NOT EVEN HALFWAY THRU-
Sun: Gender Neutral Reader (you/they/them)
Orbit: Short! Headcanons-ish
Stars: my first of the Fontians!! Fontainianes? Fontainains?? u get it
Comets & Meteors: Content Warnings: sobbing, discussion of vague smut/NSFW book at the end, okay for Teen/Mature audiences, & Trigger Warnings: none known.
no but it’d be hilarious if u got this crazy like hand-width deep tablet for each “page” of the book, like how every novel or info in genshin is like one page at a time 😭
Sumeru and other international academics are literally constantly harassing politely requesting your translation of these and sending them to you in whichever country you’re visiting at the moment
Fontaine was even more complex and pretty in real life than it could ever be in game and i can def see you at like Neuvillette’s office or a nice french fontaine cafe and just WHAM
huge ass tablet bc as much as the fic tortures you, you have to know what the fuck happens to these miserable idiots
Neuvillette, Clorinde, and Lynette are all the type to immediately try and dissuade you from reading it again, bc from their point of view you just pull out this huge old rock and start sobbing quietly about 10 mins into the read every time 😭😭
(unsurprisingly, Neuvillette would even go so far as to get the Marechaussee Phantom to sneakily steal ur most recent tablets of the story to hide them, which sucks for you LMAO)
Freminet, Wriothesley, Navia, Lyney, and Furina, all frantically try to distract you, and also theyre in order of who would be the most dramatic w/it lmao
NO BC I JUST HAD THE THOUGHT-
Ur tears absolutely are top priority to Neuvillette and Furina so when they inevitably find the memories in them (and the traveler too maybe)
of what the story is about, except its like all the feelings and stuff, so like its the best “translation” they get of the book so far, u best believe it rains for a week straight
it started out as a light drizzle, but as Neuvillette “read on” in ur tear’s memories if got worse HAHA
mans is out here trying to convince himself like, “this is a classic tragedy from eons ago, its about a human romance, im definitely unaffected, though im glad i could figure out what ails My Majesty so”
meanwhile the story gets worse and its just like that meme “ohHHhhhHH its got a little kiicckkk”
Neuvillette nearly floods the streets by chapter 5 when the miscommunication happens and then they cant get in contact with each other to fix it lmao
LMAO I JUST HAD A VISIONNN
ur in fontaine and while yes drinks were popular (like obv fonta)
business is rlly booming bc now everyone you know (like the Vision-users or archons Neuvill, etc) all have develop this habit of having a water bottle or drink on them to offer you when u start reading to rehydrate you 😭😭😭
Navia, Clorinde, Neuvillette, Wriothesley, Lyney, Lynette all have a handkerchief on them at all times too 😭😭
Good God-
the moment you translate the now instant Shakespearean-level tragedy classic, it is a known tear-jerker thruout all of Teyvat,
like theres trigger warnings and age limits and shit 💀
on another note,
if its smut,
ur desperately combing thru all the tablets and wall carvings and cave paintings to try and lowkey cover it up LMAO
and its not like a story with a smut scene either, its like what anon said,
just fully like the ao3 tag “Porn What Plot/Porn With Plot”
STOP
not u yanking the tablets out of Neuvillette’s hands when he curiously picks them up one time lmao
(he is now invested in getting these translated too bc of ur reaction lol)
consider supporting me with an iced coffee? :0
Spooky Season! Spooky Season!! Spooky Season!!!
still not dead btw
just got hired at my new job so ive been training and busy!! :)
im a host at Olive Garden lol its weird and kinda hard, my feet hurt a lot and i havent had a full shift yet ;-; its a brand new one so it opens the 23rd
dw that eldritch one shot is still coming btw, just talking with betas and editing it now lol
hope if you read this you have a great upcoming weekend!!
Safe Travels Anon,

I tried to get a tighnari ai to behave the way I wanted it to but it did not work. Instead I wrote a tighnari fic myself
// sexist tighnari, implied sexist Cyno, non-con, tighnari and reader without a vision, kidnapping, breeding
「—————————·♡·—————————」
Tighnari was nothing but kind and patient to you. Sure, you had to be dragged back to Sumeru by your feet given how idiotic you were, but it was your own fault.
It all started when you went to Sumeru after hearing your traveler friend say what kinds of things Sumeru has while they were in the process of traveling there. Back and forth, their life sure must've been interesting. Not only trying to find the missing sibling, but seeing so many nations and knowing so many people.
As much as it wasn't the life you wanted for yourself, that itself was inspiring enough to get out of the unchanging surroundings to visit Sumeru. It sure meant to be a one time visit, just seeing the mushrooms, trees. Exploring the culture, people, their way of being. You were fortunate to stay in Sumeru while the conflict with dendro archon was finally resolved, and the Lord of dendro freed herself from the oppressive hands of akademiya. To think they'd hide away their once beloved God just because she was no longer the size she used to be.
That itself was a story full of inspiration, and just like that you stayed in Sumeru longer, as far as allowing your friend to introduce you to the people they met. Paimon sure kept talking the whole way, but alas you were there. After meeting Cyno you met the forest ranger called Tighnari; it wasn't the first time you met a person with animal body parts, as much as his huge ears always shocked you. After exchanging pleasantries traveler explained what Tignnari does, and he agreed to let you learn from him about the forest. As much as you weren't a person to like the outside world, the beauty of sumeru had you captivated for a while. To the point you didn't even realise that something from the forest made you sick. Weakening you, you hardly had the energy to leave the village, it sure wasn't related to Tighnari.
Yeah, right.
You knowing other people was irrelevant, as you spent more and more time with Tighnari, completely oblivious to the fact that you had an effect on him. It was confusing the other, Collei had a vision. He could teach her, given that Celestia was kind enough to even accept her input. Collei was just a girl after all, but you? An ordinary person with no vision, expecting to get some knowledge? Tighnari didn't know whether to find it hilarious or astonishing, and yet he fed you with the thought that you were in fact learning valuable things.
Sure, the mushrooms he taught you about aren't really that common, so there's no need to learn about them, but he had to have a reason to tell you about the plants that definitely will not heal wounds? When you asked about essential information, he only said you had more to learn before you'd be able to gain that top knowledge.
It frustrated you to no end, after all you didn't plan to live there. Tighnari refusing to share essential knowledge was sickening, and yet you clung to the idea that maybe he will tell you something important.
From not caring, you became a person who's sole idea was to get Tighnari's approval. Your weird weakness didn't go away and only grew worse, and for some reason the only relief you could get was to not be exposed to Sumeru for the most part.
"Let's see if staying inside does you any better."
He said. And you didn't expect that to work, in fact you didn't expect him to say it again a week after.
Your skin felt less itchy, but as soon as it started to get better, the sensation of your clothes against your skin was the key to your irritation. As much as staying inside helped, now the clothes kept bothering you. And whenever you as much as stayed in something looser or shorter, Tighnari would look at you for a moment, before he'd continue doing what he did before.
It remained unclear wether that was the intended effect, and one could only assume it wasn't what the ranger intended. Still, that being a side effect made it all more convincing.
And yet to him you were nothing but trying to tempt him. Make him snap, which is what you'd get if you weren't careful enough. And after a few weeks he regarded to you with some sort of coldness, some sharpness to his speech.
And still, you remained as kind as ever, as much as sometimes it annoyed you. You were offered a drink or two by Tighnari at some point, and he drank some as well. After all he only taught you how to get rid of witherings by a long distance, if he ever needed your help. And you stupidly believed he finally began to treat you like a friend, only to end in his bed, crying out, spread open. All because you gave him the permission, and maybe it was your own fault for being too relaxed around the fennec.
After that Tighnari began acting weird around you, closer. More touchy. There he'd pull your hair from your face, other time he'd tickle your chin. You thought it was going better, your weakness finally fading ever so slightly.
One time when he was telling you about the completely irrelevant topic of sumeru roses, you mentioned briefly if his dendro could dry them up or preserve them so you could take them to your homeland. Show these beautiful flowers to people you knew. If he could help you take more.
That was met with an expression filled with blankness, before he jokingly said something along the lines of. "we will see"
He didn't take you seriously though, and after you mentioned it again, he seemed irritated as ever, long ears pushing themselves back on his head as Tighnari fought the troublesome feeling in his gut. But he agreed to let you see if his dendro can work to preserve later. And you, like an idiotic human you were, agreed.
Only a day later did you see that your weakness returned, and that it only came in the morning. Tighnari blamed it on allergies and pollens, that "these flowers aren't ones that you grew around. That's what makes you weak, possibly."
Confused, you never understood why. It was only when you were looking for Colleis medicine did you knock over a bottle that spilled down your shirt, and within a moment you felt your body burn. The effect truly was invisible, the substance clear as water. The first thing you did was to wipe it off, the sensation so terrible it took you a moment to connect the dots. It felt the same as when you'd step out of the house, the same as when you'd put on more layers. Was it someone's- was it Tighnari's doing?
The idea made your stomach curl, and you were quick to try and confront him. But all you've been met with was Tighnari telling Collei you seem to be getting worse, making up stories about him.
"I didn't expect local flora to affect you that way, we will be more careful next time"
And when your whining was finally over, now that Collei walked somewhere else, you had to deal with what you've caused.
To think someone like you could try to make Tighnari, the beloved caretaker of the forest, look bad. You couldn't forget the look of disappointment on Collei's face when she walked out, remembering the gloomy look on the foxes face. The memory had your hands shaking.
"To accuse me of such things. I really do wish to know what I might've done that you try to make me look bad" and yet you already knew what face hid behind that mask. Any protest you brought up was muffled by his hand, fingers easily making you drink a vial. Being pressed against the wall with his fingers blocking your nose was sure one way to get you to swallow it whole.
It made you dizzy rather fast, and he managed to just about lay you on the bed before you fell unconscious. Tighnari panicked, he had to find a backup plan. He couldn't let you leave him with that issue, leave him stranded till he'd die.
Sure, you were just a human girl. A pathetic little idiot who thought she'd get away with getting on his nerves, teasing his nature. And then planning to leave, he couldn't let you be away without a consequence.
And not once did he mention the weakness of his kind, to him, his manipulation was just means of ensuring your stay. And now that you had clear plans to move, Tighnari made it sound like he was used by you.
Maybe him not telling you why you couldn't leave was also means to keep his own shame to himself. He'd whine about this to someone, and not bring the issue up with you. and since you pretended to deserve knowledge, to be so knowledgeable, maybe you should've known what you've done when you let Tighnari have his way with you.
You hated everytime he turned it that way, and Collei didn't look too keen to touch the topic anymore. Because as longest as you didn't try to leave, the forest ranger didn't mention the topic to anyone. You'd be good, let him do as he pleased, and you'd be fine.
That's until your friend was back from Fontaine to meet with you up again. Tighnari dreaded that visit, traveler always could tell when something was wrong. And you were meant to be gone from Sumeru by that time, so after a while of planning he made you behave. By some miracle you had your hands on herbs that would help you with not conceiving the first and last time you let Tighnari act up, and you thanked Archons for that opportunity.
But this time, Tighnari was straight about it. And if you dared to as much as make a wrong look, he'd make sure you'd be swollen with kits before you'd be able to say another accusation. Before you'd able to leave and not depend on him anymore.
And so, when Traveler and Paimon finally arrived, you did your best to behave. Using their visit as means to distract the forest ranger, you had a plan. After all he couldn't chase after you when they were there, so you waited carefully for the time they'd arrive, and dressed up. Earlier you didn't do that, because of the odd feeling on your skin, usually wearing loose clothing. That was preffered by Tighnari's standards. You were a silly woman, easy access was what was preferable.
And the moment you were alone for as much as a moment, you ran. You ran on your feet fast, you ran for a while. And even if the pain was like needless, you pushed through, just to make sure you weren't there anymore. And even if you were faintly aware that someone was after you, you landed in the famous sumerian port. Only then did you realise how long you haven't seen this place, and before that someone could catch up to you, you sneaked on the container ship. It rather fast sailed away, leaving the person who followed you rather angry.
Traveler did ask Tighnari where you went, and as much as the ranger tried to hide both his anxiety and anger, he assured it must've been to get Collei's medicine. Shortly after the traveler was gone though, Cyno met face to face with the other.
"She sailed to Inazuma, now that the decree in Inazuma is lifted, a lot of merchants move their things there." He started. Ah he was annoyed, Cyno didn't want to disappoint his friend like that. But he almost had you, almost.
"It will take three days for the boat to arrive to the port in inazuma, but there's no other boat available for at least a week" and yet Tighnari couldn't bring himself to be angry at the general. It was his own issue. "Thanks for letting me know that."
Cyno scoffed. Although not earlier mentioned, Cyno met with you quite a bit. Everytime he visited Tighnari, you exchanged glances. And these weren't pleasant. You knew Cyno was aware of everything, and Cyno didn't care either. As longest as his friend was happy, he couldn't care less for an opinion of a woman. Even more so, one who thought she could handle taking care of plants and forests without any real talent.
Or a vision, to show her ambition was worthy of attention.
You tried to gain knowledge to be able to develop more solutions for the problems of your nation, and now you were not only chased by a crazy fennec, you also had a general from Sumeru on your tail.
First days in Inazuma were nothing but an issue, and you eventually managed to ask the sweet girl you met to find you a job. Ayaka already knew where you'd be useful, and so you ended up as the main caretaker of her garden. Her estates garden that is. Even though you hardly met her brother, Thoma was good enough of a friend. Although nothing was between you two, it took you some convincing to make Ayaka hide your traces in Sumeru.
You cried to the Celestia itself that day, just how blessed you were that someone as kind as her was willing to help you out on your second day in Inazuma, keeping in mind your impromptu arrival. After all you didn't get ready for this at all, maybe it was better. Maybe that cursed Ranger would've known something was up otherwise. Regardless, you were happy that Cyno couldn't show up. General in Inazuma could cause some diplomatic issues, and even if he sent men here in disguise, they'd never find you.
That is what you thought, because when the traveler came there to meet with people again before their new journey, you were sure you'd collapse.
"Paimon meant to ask, after the last visit in Sumeru we didn't see you for a while. Paimon is curious, do you not like the sumerus climate?"
She could be sweet, and yet that question itself seemed to fill you with anger. By then the fear of the ranger turned into anger faster than it could be seen that you were scared.
You said something unpleasant, after which paimon didn't ask about that at all. In fact, paimon didn't ask you anything again, and the guilt you felt in that moment was enough. You told the traveler that there was nothing to worry about, keeping Tighnari's little threat in mind.
He wasn't there, and it filled you with fear nonetheless. "Try anything, a word. Any weird movement, and I'll fill you with kits enough times for you to understand who you belong to." So that you wouldn't be able to leave.
It was sickening.
To bear the children of your captor was the last thing you'd want, and even if he wasn't there, that fear didn't go away.
Alas Traveler ended up hanging out with Ayaka for the most part, and it was peaceful for another week. That time spent in Inazuma felt great, refreshing aside from the constant paranoia. That whenever Ayato wanted something, you assumed he'd send you back to Tighnari. Or whenever Ayaka would take you out in her limited time, you'd look around, back and forth to try and see if someone is waiting to snatch you.
It took you another week to calm down and grow accustomed to the people, but it didn't last much longer.
One day that you finally felt fine enough to walk out on your own, you bought Ayato another rather weird combination of ingredients. And you weren't even there to carry it in, only remembering the blunt pain to the back of your head the moment you turned to walk back to the estate.
From the sound of it, it wasn't Tighnari to be the one to drag you back. He was quieter, but these steps were rougher, heavier.
Whoever that was, you woke up on the boat again, tied to the wood that kept the floors of the boat separated. The column of that wood was thick, and with how you were tied, you couldn't even shift to the side.
There he was, you saw the light colour of his purple vision in the darkness. It seemed he stayed on boat, because in the end he really came for you. "You're lucky Tighnari can't leave Sumeru for more than a few days." Cyno spoke. "otherwise he'd smash your skull in the moment he saw you"
You knew it didn't mean to make you feel better. In fact it only brought more fear to your gut, tears swelling in your eyes as you bit your lip. You wouldn't give him any satisfaction, silent whenever he spoke.
Coming to Sumeru was a bad choice. How could you not notice the way you were treated just because of your lack of vision? Just because you weren't from Sumeru, because you weren't a man. "he was worried sick for this past month, and here you are, parading with some other men like a whore"
Cyno murmured, looking down to you again. By then he was stood near you, and you couldn't help but hiss. Only hearing him made you fill with anger.
It ended as soon as it started, and soon you were led out of the boat by force of course. After making sure you were unconscious again, you were driven back to Ghandarva vile.
Ah Cyno kept complaining just how worried Tighnari was the whole time you were on the ship, and now even if you were unconscious, you could hear his annoying voice repeat that.
And you didn't care, to you, they both could die. They could just go at eachother if that's how Cyno cared for Tighnari, you didn't care.
More than seeing Tighnari, you dreaded waking up. Dreaded the consequence of your own action, facing him after knowing what you did. And how angry he'd be.
As soon as you opened your eyes you saw you were stuck in the similiar office again, with the soft bed, and the unfortunately similiar figure at the desk.
At least he seemed to be composed for now, eyeing you in silence before you were lectured. He'd leave the physical punishment for later, firstly telling you just how idiotic you are.
"You sure are pathetic, such a weakling like you going away. I sure hope you had fun, that was the wrong way to beg for my attention" he started, putting down the mixture of herbs he was mixing.
Tighnari stood up, his fluffy tail twitching. And it was clear he did his best to keep his ears straight, so they wouldn't betray any emotion. And yet they kept twitching backwards in annoyance. "I never wanted your attention, asshole-"
At least you managed to have some of your sass, his fingers squeezing your chin to tip your head up. You almost forgot you had your arms tied behind your back. "quiet, let the adult speak."
"To think you can toy with me and my feelings is truly disgusting" he started, scoffing. "you really are pathetic, getting me to bond with you to then try and leave me forever. How cruel can you be, y/n?"
Your face twisted in confusion, repulsion. You felt dreadful with how he turned the blame on you again. "I never wanted any of this, Ti-"
"You didn't! Ah, yes tell me all about it then!" Forcefully you moved your head away from his grip, and that did not seem to please him. "You know fully well we mate for life, and you just got up and left. What is actually wrong with you!"
"First you start showing yourself around me, carelessly showing off to tempt me. And when I finally had enough, I am to blame?" At that point you knew that speaking would rile him up more.
It wasn't the Tighnari you used to grow fond of. He was nice, he cared for you ; and now he's just awful. He didn't deserve any more words to describe his behaviour. And whenever you brought it up earlier, you were met with 'if you behaved, I could be nice around you again'.
Now wasn't the time to think about that, because he hissed. "I'm a man for Archons sake! You lured me in and then dared to-" he spoke with utter disgust. "Leave like nothing, are you really that dumb to think we wouldn't find you?"
It seemed the anger pent up and he didn't know how to express it anymore. Especially with his recent heat, where he couldn't cope with it anymore, crying from pain at the thought of not being able to get it out on you. It wasn't as bad before you two had sex that time, but now, now that he craved you, the pain was bad enough to make him throw up. That thankfully was a few days ago, now he was way better. It still brought a lot of anger and frustration, but you not seeing him in that sorry state was the most convenient.
"Or was it just some competition?" He started. "make yourself my mate and then fool around to make me prove myself like a pathetic little cub, all for your own amusement? That must've been what you wanted. To make me show how well prepared I am to care for you and our little kits-" oh no. No. "Ah, to test me like that, you sure are not trustworthy"
"But now, that..that will change. You won't leave me again to entertain other men" he started, leaning to look at you. By how he looked at you though- The threat from before finally sank in. He wouldn't let you leave. You wouldn't be able to leave.
You'd be stuck there with his kits, unable to go anywhere anymore. You'd be a good girl and stay in Sumeru, and you wouldn't make yourself visibly available to any other men as he assumed you wanted.
"Tighnari I'm- ssorry please ddon-t do this-" before you knew it you were already crying, his finger wiping off the tear as he sighed. "Don't cry, I'm only doing what's best for you, please, understand it" it wasn't time to focus on how angry he was. Because oh how happy he was to finally have you back.
For a brief moment that caring voice returned, even if it was nothing but condescending. By that time Tighnari was already sat on the bed, pushing you back to lie down. And with your arms tied, you couldn't as much as sit back up, shaking your head when he tugged you by your legs.
Like that he was sat between your thighs, looking at you.
Oh he'd rather do it when he'd be in heat, but he knew if he waited more, his little darling would find a way to leave.
Again.
And Tighnari could not have that in any way, he could not have you as much as think about it. "calm down now.."
Despite saying that he took your top by it's edgee, ripping the buttons off to open it up. "tighnari nno-" another whimper.
Squirming away was of no use, he held you down, and within moments your bottoms were off as well, face buried in your neck as his fingers dragged across your clothed heat. At least your underwear was still on.
You dared to try and hiss again, this time his hand dug into your waist, making you wince. After he made sure to bite your neck he spoke, maybe he enjoyed seeing your face twist in that pain.
Either way his other hand didn't have the glove on it anymore, fingers moving beneath your underwear to move up your folds, index one rubbing your clit in circles.
You really were just crying, whimpering for him not to do that, and each time he'd say something along the lines of. "Let me take care of it.." or "behave now, you brought this upon yourself" and even if he didn't speak it harshly, it was clear he was belittling you, focused on how easy it was to slick you up, his fingers easily entering you.
Tighnari shivered, oh it felt nice. You were so hot, squeezing his fingers in a way where he couldn't just wait to sink into you. And yet he was careful, dragging them over your walls, scissoring them lightly with each move until you were whimpering.
Each move made your body tremble, shivering. Your thighs squeezed him in a pathetic attempt to try and slow him down, or discourage him, but Tighnari only took it as a challenge, gripping your thigh to move it open.
"H-nhho- I'm ssor-Ssorry let's- nh- ttalk it o-ooUt.." your pathetic crying mixed in with the whimpers, breath hitching each time his fingers dragged out of you.
"It's far too late for discussions, mate" mate. Only then did it click he couldn't have been lying. Was it really your own fault for letting him use you that one, single time? No. You couldn't let yourself be tricked, he did it himself. He should've thought about what he did.
Tighnari's fingers felt undeniably nice, and despite the weak kick you tried to give him, your thighs only shook, funny feeling in your gut tightening, curling. Your little struggle only made him tip his head a little, did you really think you could do anything? Weakened?
He knew how to pick you apart, so when you felt close, he made you come on his fingers against your will.
The forest ranger knew how to make sure you weren't distracted, and once he slipped the remaining fabric off your legs he undid his pants, taking our his mostly hard length out.
Mostly hard- he must've gotten off to the sounds of you whimpering and asking him to stop. Fucking degenerate, you didn't understand how someone could get off to that idea. You couldn't even tell him how disgusting he was, Tighnari's tip already moving over your heat to slick himself.
Moving into you easily he groaned, the sound melodic as your heat tried to push out the unwanted intrusion. But it only made him let out a whimper, Tighnari bottoming out inside you soon after, pressing into you, almost grinding as he nibbled on your neck again. "ggonna stuff you sso good-" ah it's been so long-
He really really missed it, that's how it was supposed to be. You were his mate for archons sake! And as a good mate you were supposed to fulfill his desires! Not run away and make him hurt and ache!
After all it was your fault for allowing him to have sex with you that one time. It was your fault he couldn't stop himself from wanting you so much, you should've known. You should've asked. And you were selfish instead, now paying the price as he slowly moved his hips away from you, just to bottom out again with a shaky groan. That was right, you were his.
"N-nnari please don't-" you knew the nickname usually worked, pace smoothly picked up as he shook his head. "N-nhh.. shhut up-" another grunt followed. "Bbe good and take it- Nhh fuck- you're sso tight.." it's been some time since someone did that to you, and Tighnari felt somewhat grateful that, by how you reacted, he was the last one you laid with in this way.
All you could do was whimper through tears, your body feeling funny. For some reason your body reacted in a way that betrayed your mind, it wasn't what you wanted. And yet it only grew warmer, hiccups leaving as you stared at the ceiling.
"nGh.. you'll bb-be a good girl- take it-" the ranger started again, the softness of his tail tickling the underside of your thigh. "Look at you already- hheating up like that.." he was aware this was a punishment, but to Tighnari, - before he'd let his anger take over and destroy you - the punishment would be better if it was taken slow. Your body betraying you, violatiing you in a way where you couldn't control yourself.
You enjoying it would only make it more humiliating, and he really did want to make you ashamed enough not to get any more funny ideas.
With each move the pace picked up, hand tight on your waist as you let out a shaky hiss, other hand sliding down your thigh so his thumb could press to your already aching clit, giving it slow rubs.
It all made you feel tight again, abdomen growing tense as you tried to use your legs to shift away, digging your feet into the bed to move up. But his grip was too tight, Tighnari's hands forcing your hips back onto his cock.
"Don't- hhn.. don't ffucking try that--" the thrusts grew sharper, and you had no choice but to look away. That gave you some sort of control, distracting yourself from what Tighnari was doing. You wouldn't give him the satisfaction of coming on his length like a cheap whore.
He seemed to catch on with your plan, his thumb pushing into you even more to make you wince. "Don't annoy me even mm-more, y/n- you know what's.. hha.. gonna happen otherw-wwise-"
You thought back to the traveler. To Ayaka and Thoma. You used their kindness up and were snatched without a warning, you didn't even get to say goodbye.
You imagined yourself taking care of the garden there, remembering the way you had to use the knowledge provided by Tighnari to do that. That itself made your brain focus back on reality. "Look at me, nnow-"
Once he was ignored he decided to let your hip go, hand gripping your chin tight to make you look at him. His eyes were narrowed, ears pulling themselves back in annoyance. It took you a moment to realise how rough he had become, uncontrolled cry following. Were you really moaning pathetically while thinking about Inazuma?
"You'll look at me-" Tighnari hissed, thrusts nice and hard. Oh god. You'd break.
"And see everything-"
Another harsh thrust. You'd spill.
"I'm doing to you-"
With that your core went tense again, the orgasm you so badly avoided making your toes curl, shaking your head. But his grip was too firm.
It was understandable, he was rather good with his how.
"Y-you understand?"
Unfortunately for you, you weren't able to hiss again, shaky and quiet cry leaving as you arched into the other unwillingly. That itself had him shudder, feeling you come against him like that mare his hips stutter into yours.
"H-mhh.. ggonna fill you-" oh no. "You wwant to be a mommy?"
You cried out that no, despite it being muffled. You whined and tried to kick at him after realising what he really meant, but it was useless. He was too strong, he was too fast.
The pace was all funny, ah he was close it seemed, face lowering back again so his sharp teeth could graze your neck. "g-ngh.. you're ggOnna- nhh llook soo good swollen with my kkits-"
That outcome was to be expected. You did that to yourself.
And now you had to pay.
You recalled that before all of this, when that mistak between you happened, he pulled out right after he came, but now, now that he finished inside you, he only stayed in, the discomfort only now settling in.
He felt odd inside you, did you tighten or did he thicken? Even if you tried to shift your hips it only made you wince, Tighnari's ear giving a small twitch of satisfaction.
"We will be stuck like that for some time. This gives you time to reconsider what you've done"
You really were crying up to that point, salty and hot tears streaming down your warm cheeks as you hiccuped, shaking your head.
He was nothing but manipulating. Always talking like he cared about what you had to say, always behaving like he could resolve the issue when in reality, you were never listened to.
"It's fine if you don't feel talkative this time. We have much more opportunities to talk it out tonight"

"You should have dressed better for this weather," Kaeya said, taking your hands into his and blowing the hot air from his mouth onto them. The tips of your fingers were a peachy pink from your lack of gloves. You smiled to yourself finding the act of kindness sweet.
He smiled at you, knowing you practically rushed out here to experience the snow, leaving him behind. Kaeya had to track you down in order to find you, the footprints basically went for miles. How could you run so far in such a little amount of time?! In the snow nevertheless??
It had probably been only an hour since the snow reached a good amount of height where snowmen and snow forts could be created. You found yourself enjoying the never-ending fall of the flakes from the sky, it was a peaceful thing to stare up at when you were laying below making a snow angel.
He joined you in the snow, not to create a snow angel of course, but just to sit next to your laying form and look down at you. Such a tender part of his emotions always came about when he was with you. That's what he loved, the way you always made the young version of himself peak out from the doorway in shyness and come join the fun.
Kaeya finally snapped out of it when he saw you staring back at him. It seems he didn't notice your eyes change direction when he was admiring you down below.
"You look like an angel from here, Kaeya." You spoke, with a soft smile that practically melted him in his spot. The two of you continued to chat in the cold while remaining in the same spots. That was until the sound of a young girl with too much excitement bottled up caught both of your attention.
Klee and Albedo were rounding the corner, Klee obviously more ahead of the young alchemist. Her small body immediately collides with your own and rolls over to copy your movements. She always seemed to copy after you in everything.
Her talking went on for hours and hours, while you, Albedo, (sort of), and Kaeya listened to the rambles and stories she always seemed to have on hand.
But what you never noticed while listening in on the young arsonist, was that Kaeya's hand slid into yours during it, and was keeping those peachy pink fingertips of yours warm the whole way.

One thing that Tighnari does not do, is play in the frozen-over rain. He finds it too useless to mess around and make figures out of the substance too. Rather, using his time to stay indoors and keep his tail and ears clean. While also doing numerous amounts of research along the way.
He could see you from the window of his small research hut, watching you for a bit as you run around with the children in Sumeru, quickly picking up a clump of snow and throwing a perfectly rounded snowball at someone in the distance. Tighnari shook his head, looking back down at the table of vials and substances to focus more on.
He could see Collei from the corner of his eyes peaking out the window every now and then. Knowing she was anticipating getting out there as quick as possible to join them, he sighed and put down his vials roughly.
"The more you stare, the less time spent on the project, just go do it." He said with another sigh, she looked towards him with glee and ran out to join you and the children. Sighing again, Tighnari dusted off his hands and also left the hut to stand on the porch with his arms crossed and watched all of you play. A small smile formed when he saw how happy you looked running around. He continued to admire you in the distance.
You smiled when you realized he was watching, and tried to wave him over to join. Which resulted in a swift shake of his head in declining. You knew he wasn't one to play, but the least you could do was wipe that frown from his face. Reaching down to form a snowball and whipping it towards him while he was distracted looking in the distance at Cyno's approaching figure.
The snowball immediately collided with his chest and a little bit below his chin, causing him to jolt backward and look toward where you were giggling. Cyno also caught sight of the action and smirked while he walked towards the porch.
"So that's how we're going to play? Okay." Tighnari said, before retreating back into the hut.
You continued to laugh lightly at it, before seeing a rapidly approaching green figure with a large handful of chemically created snow in his hands.
Tumblr media
Gorou loved when snow days occurred, it was free time off work and a beautiful day to play and have fun! This was why today he was especially happy to wake up and rise from his bed, looking towards the cloudy white window.
This also meant he could spend time with you, most of the time you two would only see each other late in the afternoon because of his military work schedule. Dates were rare, and you almost never had time to take walks around Inazuma.
He was beaming when he walked out of his home, seeing a couple people waving toward him and others trying to make the perfect snowman. All he wanted to do was find you and spend some time together on this perfect winter day.
Which was seemingly pretty difficult! Because so many people wanted to talk to him and have him join them in their activities. Couldn't they see he was on a mission? He was completely focused on walking in the direction you'd most likely be, but everyone seemed to need him today.
He was so caught up trying to make his way out of another conversation with some guys who he trained, that he didn't seem to notice you standing right next to him.
Gorou's reaction when you lightly patted him on the back was not an amusing one. Specifically, because he thought you were just another person trying to take up his time. Don't get him wrong! He loves spending time with people, but he really wanted to see- Oh. It's you!
His face lit up and his tail swished a million miles per hour, smiling immediately at the sight of seeing you in front of him. You smiled as well, it seemed he had a rough day from his first appearance turning towards you. You put your hand on his arm and squeezed it a little bit in reassurance. Just before his friends could start teasing him for the reaction, you offered to go for a walk down the pretty scenery bridges of Watatsumi Island.
As the two of you walked off, he never stopped looking down at you, while his tail continued to wag like crazy, admiring your appearance and the small snowflakes littering you.
Tumblr media
The Kamisato Residence was littered with patches of snow here and there. Ayaka being the only one to actually adventure out in the rain-down of white flakes. Her brother, Ayato, staying inside and continuing his business work instead.
You passed her on the way up to visit the residence, and chatted for a bit, learning that he decided to stay inside on such a nice day. She begged for you to at least get him outside for only a minute to enjoy the peaceful day. You smiled and nodded, telling her you'd do her best, but knowing the man preferred the warmth more.
The walk-up was peaceful, people waved while building their snowmen and others sat with each other watching the snowflakes fall. You smiled, knowing if you couldn't get him in the snow, you'd at least try and get him to go outside and look at it, the least.
When you entered the Kamisato Estate, the guard standing in the front nodded toward you; you felt so bad for him standing out in the snow and offered a chance to come inside. He shook his head in result and said it was too nice to sit inside all day, you smiled and agreed.
Ayato was sitting in his workroom staring down at multiple parchments when you entered, looking stressed at whatever he was reading. You said his name softly, earning his attention and the weight of his shoulders dropped once he saw you.
"It's so beautiful? Why don't we go outside for a bit and relax?" You said, walking behind him and putting your hands on his shoulders to rub them. His eyes closed at the action and he showed a ghostly smile along with it.
"You know I can't." He said, "I've got too much to do today." His rejection of your offer didn't phase you, because you knew deep down you could convince him. You grabbed his hand and pulled him up from his chair, and with no resistance, he followed.
The two of you walked out of the doors of the estate and stepped onto the small porch leading to the garden. It was covered in white and looked to be gleaming with the small rays of sunshine peaking through the clouds. Your small glances toward him proved that the suggestion was proven effective, he looked so much more relaxed looking at the beautiful scenery.
Ayato looked back at you, taking your hand in his and pressing a soft kiss on the back of it. "This scenery is beautiful," He spoke, "But you are all I need to feel this way."
A small blush formed on your cheeks, so unnoticeable from the dusty rose color already painted on them from the cold. Your flustered expression caused him to smile with his eyes. You leaned closer into him and hugged his arm, staring towards the direction that Ayaka, the Traveler, and Paimon emerged from in the distance with dinner.

Can I ask "If you weren't alone" with Dazai, Kunikida and Atsushi? I give my thanks first!
If you were not alone
Part VIII
Characters: Self-Aware! Dazai Osamu, Self-Aware! Kunikida Doppo, Self-Aware! Atsushi Nakajima
Reader: GN! Adult! Reader
Warning: OOC. English is my second language
📒🐯🪢🦀 It was supposed to be a normal shopping trip. How in the world you, Kunikida, Dazai and Atsushi ended at the base of Mt. Yougou, not far away from Kamisato's Estate?
No, rephrase that. How in the world you ended up in Teyvat?
Before you can discuss, what happened and what to do next, you four heard a booming voice.
"HEY, SHINOBU, LOOK, ALL-CREATOR DECIDED TO VISIT INAZUMA! LET'S GO AND SAY HELLO!"
A familiar oni was running towards you, almost dragging his deputy leader behind him. Ushi wiggled behind them.
Tall oni stopped before you, bowing.
"Greetings, Your Holiness, cool to see you in Inazuma!"
You opened and closed your mouth, not knowing what to say. Was Itto talking to you? Itto looked at you, waiting for your answer. You coughed.
"Um... Thanks for the warm welcome, Itto. How is your Gang doing?"
You have a feeling, that you messed up, despite seeing a huge grin on Itto's face.
Then you caught Shinobu's gaze. She was observing you. An unreadable expression was ob her face. She spoke, facing Itto.
"Boss, why not to prepare lavender melons to Their Holiness and their guards, while I updated them on Gang's businesses?"
Itto's grin became even bigger, and oni, after grabbing Ushi, hurried up to the distance in search for lavender melons.
When Itto get out of sight, Shinobu's gaze became serious again.
"Okay, with Boss out of earshot... Confess, you four, who are you? Creator... didn't care about Boss and our gang."
You, Atsushi, Kunikida and Dazai, after some whispering, decided not to lie.
At the end of your story, Shinobu looked concerned.
"I... I don't know if you believe me... But you four are in big danger."
📒🐯🪢🦀 It Shinobu quite some time to explain the situation to you. Mostly because Itto returned quite quickly and your little group had a small lunch. At the end of it, Atsushi and Dazai because Bro Atsushi and Bro Dazai, and Kunikida and Shinobu get a headache over three lovable idiots.
After lunch, Shinobu managed to send Itto on an onikabuto hunt ("Creator need a perfect onikabuto familiar for them. Boss, you can find the best one for them.")
And Shinobu continue her tale. About Creator and "sinners cleaning rituals". And about the danger you four were in.
Shinobu said, that you four have few days, before wanted posters will be up.
📒🐯🪢🦀 You stay with the Arataki Gang for tonight. And, while you, Atsushi and Kunikida were sleeping, Dazai was planning. He, with Shinobu help for getting "trivia information", was trying to find a way to protect you all.
You woke up early in the morning, say goodbye to Arataki Gang and hurry to Ritou Island.
Luck was on your side, and you four get on a ship to Liyue.
You were far away from Inazuma, when Ei's lightning storms rise again.
📒 Problems started in Liyue. Mililith solders were patrolling The Harbor and looking through every ship. Kunikida prepared flash grenades and dark glasses in advance. You will only have one chance.
In a "storm" of flashing lights, you, Kunikida and Atsushi with sunglasses on and Dazai with a blindfold on escaped from Liyue Harbor.
Kunikida didn't tell you about the gun he created in case of the situation going bad.
🐯 In Sumeru you get very strange protection. Rishboland Tigers, for some reason, loved Atsushi and followed his every command. When Corps of Thirty chased after you, rishboland tigers, with half-transformed Atsushi as their leader, chased them away.
One of the tigers was the one, who found aranaras and called you.
And they were quite happy to see you.
"World Nara are finally here!"
Same day, you four met Nahida.
Dendro Archon explained more about the whole situation. And provided you four with three choices.
1. You can stay in Sumeru and wait for Alice, your only hope to get to the real world, visit this nation again.
2. Hurry to Natlan, where Alice was traveling to.
3. Go to Mondstadt and wait for Alice's arrival. She should be there on Klee's birthday.
You can only choose one. You won't be able to travel from Natlan to Mondstadt in time, and, staying for so long in Sumeru, despite Nahida's assistance, can be dangerous.
📒🐯🦀🪢 A one discussion later, you four decided to go to Mondstadt. And Nahida even find a way for you to safe travel.
With Dehya and Dunyarzad starting rumors about Imposter going to Natlan, Keveh and Alhaitham (who needed to do some job for dendro archon in Mondstadt and get gifts for Creator to the Ivory Throne) will secretly get you four to Mondstadt.
After a tearful goodbye to Nahida and Aranaras, you left Sumeru.
🦀🪢 During the short trip to Mondstadt, you, Dazai, Kunikida, Atsushi, Alhaitham and Kaveh became good friends. And, you discovered, that Teyvat started to listen to your small commands.
(You didn't know, that Nahida and Aranaras were praying to you, making your powers stronger).
After you get to Mondstadt, a waiting game started. You four, with a help of Albedo, who run into you four one day, managed to stay hidden from the Knights of Favonius.
Dazai also brought Primordial Albedo to your camp one day. You didn't know where he found him, or why he decided to bring him to you, but... Now you have your own alchemist.
and you thought, it was Oda's job to took in orphans
And you all became good friends with Klee.
📒🐯🦀🪢You managed to safely stay in Mondstadt, until Alice's arrival. You four got presents from Alice, a thank you for being friends of Klee, and Alice finally got you five (Dazai demand for Prim to go with you) at the Real World. But, before that, she spoke to you.
"Your Holiness... [Y/N]... Monster on the throne... It will destroy Teyvat one day. Please, if you can... Send us help to dethrone them."
You promised to think about it. She asked you to provide your powers for her to transport you five.
_________
🐾 Fukuzawa was worried. Three of his detectives and you were missing. And search parties came back with no results.
Until one day, you four appeared from the portal in the barn (portal remains) with a strange new guy and dags full of fruits. And... Is it planers on your backs?
🐾 Explanation is in order. And then, more planning to come. You have people in Teyvat to help to.

That Loud House
pairings -> Alhaitham x Reader x Kaveh; poly
words -> 2,574 words
An architect, a scribe, and a prodigal drop out walked out of a house. Somehow they all fell in love, even tho they don't look like it when they're outside. (next)
Tumblr media
As a local citizen in Sumeru City, you must have heard about that loud house in the higher levels.
Infamous for reasons already in the name, it had become a running gag, transcending the foundation of the structure to its well-known owners.
The loudness of that house wasn't anything new, but the occupants and its most recent addition made the legendary house ever so entertaining than annoying. Their names known far and wide, even touching the desert with gossip.
Out comes Alhaitham, the grand Scribe of the Akademiya holding himself to such high regard as both the lunatic and the savior of all of Sumeru.
Next leaves Kaveh with a bit more pep in his steps, so uncharacteristic of the Master Architect when he's frequently whining about his living conditions and roommate.
And last but never ever least exits you, gently closing and locking the door behind you unlike the first two to leave, rubbing at your eyes as you stumbled through the streets of the city with nothing but muscle memory guiding you.
No one knows how the relationship of that loud house came to be, only that one day, suddenly three people lived there. And those three people loved each other, expressed in some way that none of the Vahumana scholars can ever explain.
How you three came to be is a very... peculiar arrangement that people could only know if they asked. But out of your trio, only Kaveh is the approachable one, and even he didn't know the full story.
The true story of your relationship is privy to only you and Alhaitham, but the man would never entertain gossipers (for the sole reason of wanting them to overthink and hypothesize). And the two had made it very clear that they don't want you to be bothered by such trivial matters.
Foundation
No one would ever believe that Alhaitham started this complicated relationship, but he did. And no one but him and his clever brain would know how long he had planned for this.
"I see you're spacing out again," you pause in your walk as you silently watch the silver-haired Scribe make his way over. "Good morning."
"Good morning, Alhaitham." The scholar easily falls into step with you as you continued your leisurely walk, consciously adjusting your hair when you realized how well-kept next to your sleep-deprived self. "I'm fine, how about you?"
You've known the man even before he became a Scribe, even before he graduated and became your senior. How your closeness came to be is already a blur in your mind, but if there's one thing you're certain of, he at least enjoys your company.
You've bonded over collaborations for research before and after he graduated. Perhaps that's what draws him to you, he always liked and supported your ideas as much as he can even when no one does. Sadly, his work and your problems kept your interactions scarce.
"Wrong, it is actually already afternoon. Clearly, you are not fine and you can't deny it now." Oh my - you gently, slowly put your palm to your face, already so done with his antics for today.
It looks like you have a lot to catch up on since the last you talked. And Alhaitham, ever so smart, caught on with the impending long talk who proceeded to guide you to the tables outside Djafar Tavern.
When Eymen came over to take your orders, Alhaitham instead ordered for the two of you when you were about to refuse the service. Right, he's a rich guy now.
"How's your research been?" And at the sight of your sour face, he connected the dots almost immediately. "Same old?"
"Same old Akademiya. They won't fund anything that's not useful or groundbreaking, and I really liked this topic, too." And at his urging nods, you went on a tangent of the curiosities you've been hooked on for a while now, another idea he approves. "I don't understand why they are so heavily guarded with research regarding the history of the desert. I just want to learn more."
"Then leave the Akademiya." Stabbing into the Tandoori Roast Chicken a little too harshly, you looked at him with wide, incredulous eyes. "What? If the Akademiya is restricting you then you can continue your research without their laws applying to you."
Lunatic. That's just like him. Looking at you innocently with a raised brow as if he didn't just say something so out of pocket.
"You know I can't do that."
"Why not?" Bingo! That hesitant side glance confirmed his hypothesis easily, there's more than just the Akademiya that's putting circles under your eyes. Even as you occupied yourself with chewing the chicken, he kept his eyes on you like a hawk.
You sighed. "Research is my only income, unlike you, Scribe." He must be paid really well for his position, after all. "Rent in the City is also rising, I have to pay that next week, too. I'm so tired."
What is up with the people his close to and financial problems? He shakes his head. "Then drop out of the Akademiya and live with me." Unfortunately, this time he didn't care that you had chicken in your mouth. He continued while you're busy coughing your lungs out. "With my income, I'm more than glad to support your research. With this arrangement, you can focus on what you want and your health as we-"
HUH?! "Shu - fu - shut, shut up for a second." Eymen quickly came to your aid with a glass of water after seeing the commotion, but as he was about to pat your back, a stern look from your friend(?) made him think twice. "Do you even know what you're saying?"
"Yes. It's quite simple really," Alhaitham sat up straighter on his seat and uncrossed his arms. "I'll be your research support, I can even help you on them if need be, and living under my roof will remove you of financial burden.
"Deal." Eymen let out a loud 'huh?!' as he looks at you like you have a fungus head. "And I assume that you want something out of this, too?"
Nodding approvingly of your perceptive thinking, his next words both had you and Eymen reeling. "In exchange, date me and Kaveh."
... On second thought, it's not just you and Alhaitham that knows the true story.
But no one ever believes Eymen the bartender.
Surveying
Apparently, they were not in a relationship. Apparently, Kaveh doesn't even know about the terms and conditions of what transpired that day.
"Oh! Fancy meeting you here!" With the context, you awkwardly reciprocated the hug the architect greeted you with.
"You two know each other?" Alhaitham emerged from the guest room were your bags and items will be making home until this arrangement is over.
Kaveh, your Kshahrewar senior raised to the power of 2 was someone you had also collaborated with beforehand. Learning about the different periods Sumeru went through, as well as the civilizations of the other regions, the architect thought it was common sense to ask you for building inspirations.
The architecture was a part of your studies, right? Perhaps by seeing the different buildings all over Teyvat, he could infer his own design for his plates. You remember working on it for two days straight because you didn't want to disappoint him with a half-baked result, not when such a household name depended on you, a no name researcher.
"Well, that makes things easier then. They are staying with us from now on."
"They are?" The blond turns to you. "You are?!" You nod. "Oh, an angel descends from the skies to preserve my sanity in this house!"
You shake the hand offered to you, his smile brightening up more. "Let's get along, shall we?"
And get along you did. To be fair, it wasn't really that hard knowing Kaveh is Kaveh, and Alhaitham as his point of reference makes everyone look like saints.
However, being in the middle of these two also guarantees you to always be in the middle of their notorious arguing, even after you all settled into a genuine relationship.
"It's called a passion project, what is so hard to understand about that? Then again, knowing you, it wouldn't be too far fetched." Closing your eyes, the taste of the freshly cooked baklava became more apparent to your taste buds.
"It's not about whether this project is so important to you, it's the fact that it is missing a crucial factor: feasibility." Pulling the mug in your left hand, you washed down the sweetness of the pastry with slightly bitter coffee.
"What do you know about architecture to tell if it's feasible or not? You took one look at my plates and think you know better." Gulping your food, you let out a silent yawn as you tried to blink the sleepiness away.
"One look at it and I can see that you've put zero thought to the prices of the materials." What time is it? Maybe you can get some last minute nap before heading out.
"Why you -" Before you can register their morning argument subsiding, the feeling of hands on yours and your cheek jolted you awake.
"Why are you dozing off? Did you not sleep enough tonight?" As Alhaitham takes away the mug in your hand, Kaveh proceeds to wipe the pastry crumbs around your lips. Shaking your head, your blond lover moves to stand behind your chair.
"You told us you have an important errand today, you're gonna be late!" Then he starts to brush your hair back to style it as usual. Prying an eye open, you see a glimpse of Alhaitham cleaning up the table, as well as a hint of a subtle smile when his gaze caught sight of you and Kaveh.
Of course, if there's one thing that Kaveh and Alhaitham can agree on, it's their love for you. And that's honestly enough for them.
Structuring
Alhaitham viewed you as his responsibility in this symbiotic relationship, and when the time came that Kaveh settled into the arrangement, taking care of you became easier.
While it's not apparent, the Scribe hated seeing you stressed or down especially when you're susceptible to it than normal.
Things such as bills, needs, funding, rejected thesis can greatly affect your mental health greatly. And that in turn messes with the functionality of your brain, the same brain that he greatly adores. So with lesser jargon Alhaitham entrusted this information to Kaveh so that they both can look out for you when the other isn't there.
Unlike Alhaitham however, Kaveh's less used to your antics.
A shrill scream that can definitely be heard past the walls of the house made him jump and trip out of his bed, stumbling out of his room as he made a mad dash towards the room where the scream came from.
"(Y/N)?! What's wrong?!" Oh gosh, did you get hurt? Did someone break in?! Alhaitham is going to kill him for real this time!
Turning around from your spot in the middle of the living room, you pulled your hands out of your messy hair at the sight of your blond architect. "Kaveh? Oh shoot, I'm sorry did I wake you?" You thought you were alone in the house.
Shaking his head, his hands land on your shoulders to look for any signs of injuries. But no, based on the messiness of your hair, it seems more like an internal turmoil. "I heard your scream, tell me what's wrong, dear."
"Sorry, sorry, I was just really frustrated -" He needs to get you to clear your mind then, like what Alhaitham instructed- "Because of this stupid DIY miniature set."
"What?" Looking past you to the coffee table, there was the evidence of your frustrations. Cloth and wooden panels strewn about, and a mess of papers either discarded or needed littered the carpeted floor. "Why are you working on a DIY miniature house? Is that a house?"
"To destress." You raise your hands up in defense when Kaveh sent you a deadpan. "I think it's a Mondstadt style house."
"Why didn't you ask me to help then?" Forgetting his initial plan, he went on to seat on the floor and caught sight of the instructions page. Occupied with the interesting structure, you curiously sat next to him as he looked at the pieces. "I'm an architect, this is my forte!"
But... you're the one that's... trying to destress?
When Alhaitham came home, the house was suspiciously quiet despite having the lights open. Did one of you leave the main floor lights on by accident? Hanging his cape by the door, walking further into his shared home finally gave him the answer.
Cut up paper and trimmed fake plants scattered the area together with various small tools that he carefully picked up before anyone could step on it. There is a small model of what seems to be Mondstadt structure in the middle of the mess that could easily fit in his palm.
"This is what you two did the whole time?" But he expected the lack of response.
After all, as he turns towards the couch, there Kaveh laid stretched over the entire length of the long seat with his arm shielding his closed eyes. And there you lay on top, basically faceplanting the architect's chest.
Alhaitham could see the dried up clear glue on the tips of your fingertips.
His attention averts back to the miniature house. And that's when he sees it. Leaning down, the Scribe plucks up a copper wire with tiny bulbs jutting out here and there, with a switch at one end.
Oh. You two must have forgotten to add the wiring before assembling the piece and slept the frustration away.
Chuckling to himself, the man crossed his legs as he sat, picking up the discarded tweezer and glue. What would you two do without him really?
You were startled out of your shopping trip at the sound of someone screaming your name, followed by a person you've never met writing over to you. A mahamata personnel?
"We're sorry to bother you but Mr. Alhaitham and Kaveh -" Of course, it's about them.
It was a fallacy that everyone keeps committing at this point, believed in assumptions without evidence, but you followed the man to the destination to Treasures Street.
And when you stood in between the two quarreling scoundrels you call your lovers, the man who was hoping you'd stop the disturbance on peace looked confused. Of course he was.
After all, the arguments are part of the charm. Just because you came into the picture doesn't mean they'll stop in your presence, no, that's not your function in this relationship. However -
"I made progress."
"You did?! Thank goodness, I was worried you'll have to wait another day for dusk!" Kaveh flipped like a switch at the good news, eagerly suggesting to eat out for the occassion.
"Did you write it down? I wish to compare notes with my own hypothesis back home once we're done. When's the last time you hydrated?"
The public watched in confusion as the trio of lovers left the scene towards Lambad's Tavern, the argument turning into a conversation of jargons and lexicon that they can't follow.
It's always so eventful seeing the occupants of that loud house when they're together.
They just wish things were a little quieter.

Finally, the lesser organized poly series counterpart of CtM is here. Should have stuck to the headcanons format honestly but at least I know this isn't gonna be a one off thing lol

✎ that poor birdy. ft. xiao x gn!reader content. fluff, a little hurt/comfort, naive (?) reader - they don’t know xiao isn’t human :p a little bit of xiao falling in love while being really inexperienced with it. mentions of xiao as a birdy ! not proofread 'm sorry >~< w.c. 1.5k words
notes. uuuuuuuu i loves him so much ;; santa pls can i has him under my nonexistent tree this year taglist. @ryuryuryuyurboat @soleillunne @rainswept
you followed the routine meticulously whenever you needed it, which was usually always when the inspiration runs dry from your veins. it stumps you every time, being in that scenario as a member of the wanwen bookhouse in liyue harbor. you never particularly want xingqiu chasing after you on whether you have any new material to publish.
the idea was first proposed in its early stages by a close friend - at least, that’s what you call him. you had been grumbling over a cup of steaming hot tea, head in your hands as you whined to xiao about an upcoming deadline.
“why don’t you travel for inspiration?” he had suggested and within seconds, your face had lit up. you stared at him with glittering eyes, a hopeful glimpse into your future right before you. xiao shifted nervously under your gaze, his gloved hands cupping his own cup of tea as he glanced away, the tips of ears feeling warm.
suddenly you would start disappearing for days, sometimes even weeks as the birth of your new found routine began. it was the saviour of your writer’s block, filling you to the brim with stories and poetry that everyone at the wanwen bookhouse fawned over. xiao never pondered where you would run off to, in all fairness he assumed you was prancing off to mondstadt, sumeru and even inazuma.
he never chased you up on it. after all, his suggestion had merely been a case of him trying to get the oddly clingy human that appeared from nowhere off his back for more than a day. your presence suffocates him as a yaksha and he takes your absence in his stride yet he leans against the railing of his room at wangshu inn, staring out at the endless stars all clustered together on a backdrop of indigo and he sees how your eyes glittered that day, like you had captured the stars and put them in your eyes. almost like fireflies in a glass jar.
xiao did however presume you was at least obsessed - his words, you simply call it a normal friendship - with him enough to bring back trinkets from your adventures but you come back empty handed each time with only a proud grin on your face as you dump your newest works onto the male. part of him is glad that you don’t, after all gifting on such a level outside of special occasions could come off as mating to the male bird. the other part of him - the humanoid part of him - wishes you would do it at least once to fill the empty void in his heart left from centuries of avoiding contact with people.
the kitchen at the wangshu inn is usually busy around this time of day as workers gather for their lunch break or couples take a leisurely stroll across the guili plains whilst liyue’s weather remains so warm and tender, humid to the touch with a cool breeze. xiao knows this well from how long he’s resided at the very top of the inn, where the breeze catches just right and rustles golden leaves above his head. the noise brought by the mortal world’s lunchtime would soon cease and he’d be left in the solace he craves so desperately to ease his pains; that is disregarding the fact that xiao finds the kitchen too noisy on this day.
someone jogging up the steps is enough for xiao to hide, after all he’s not expecting visitors nor does anyone ever seek him out on purpose now but he catches sight of your familiar head of hair and the waft of almond tofu through the leaves, the plate held carefully in your hands. he tries to make his sudden appearance calm, as if he’d always been there - you’re too innocent to put together myth to reality, even with his mask tucked securely to his hip.
“you’re back again,” he comments, gold eyes watching you carefully as you spin on your heel to face him, your initial look of confusion ebbing away at the sight of him, “almond tofu?”
“i figured i’d come back with a gift, at least,” you chime with a grin, holding out the plate to him. seeing your smile after a few days affects xiao more than he’d care to admit, his stomach filled with the odd sensation of butterflies - and a gift? “i remember you saying you liked almond tofu.”
the pale skin of his cheeks seems to flush with a subtle hue of pink causing the yaksha to flicker his glance away from you as he takes the plate of almond tofu, mumbling his thanks. what was this feeling? his brows almost knit together in confusion; could it be karmic debt? perhaps your presence as a mortal human was finally taking its toll on him. xiao parts his lips to excuse himself from your vicinity, wondering if he could gather some believable lies to get you off his back but he stares at the small details on your face and how you still smell like parchment and ink instead.
xiao moves away from you - albeit a little reluctantly - to the table presented neatly with two chairs by the railing, hidden in the shade of wangshu inn's great auburn tree. he settles in one of the chairs, clearing his throat as he watches you lean against the aforementioned railing.
"so where did you go gallivanting off to this time?" he asks curiously, taking small bites of the almond tofu you'd presented to him. it comes to him that he's never once asked where you go when you disappear from him and apparently the question catches you off guard when he glimpses how your eyes seem to widen a little in surprise, processing his sudden interest in your adventures.
"oh! i was camping out at qingyun peak again!" you lean back against the railing, letting liyue's breeze tickle your skin like a warm breath fanning down your neck. xiao pauses mid-bite, golden eyes blinking in bewilderment as he gazes at you. was that all? he furrows his brows, after all he had truly expected you to be going abroad to new lands for your inspiration - he's even more caught off guard by how you said again… so it wasn't your first time?
"is that all?" he voices aloud, listening to the sound of your sweet laugh on the wind at his response. the strange feeling in his stomach turns again and he almost drops the almond tofu on his spoon, clearing his throat as he looks away from you quickly. these feelings were not painful for him, he begins to realise in turn. the heat of his ears and the way his neck and cheeks soon matched their temperatures, the shake of his gloved hands and how his stomach felt like it was flipping - these were not associated with pain nor karma, confusing the yaksha further.
"eeyup!" you pop the 'p,' grinning over at him before looking up at the roof of wangshu inn, noting the numerous bird nests filled with eggs before you remember something you wished to bring up to him, "but i heard a little birdy calling out during the night, it sounded so sad."
xiao hums in response, turning his focus back to the almond tofu he was finding the most delectable - if you had made it like he assumed, you truly was an amazing cook. he considers voicing that thought out loud before he realises you are mumbling about the small bird you'd heard and xiao begins to ponder what type of bird you must have heard. in the middle of night and at qingyun peak… the more he thinks about it, he soon chokes on the tofu he was chewing. he clears his throat to cover his embarrassment, hiding his face as he waves you off when you rush to his side.
you'd heard him. xiao's heart races, thumping against his ribcage at how he gets himself out of this situation. how would he even begin to explain that the bird is lamenting, calling for its dead friends that will never return? his eyelashes flutter shut for a moment.
"i'm sure the bird is fine." he tries to reassure once he has finished chewing the tofu. you give him a thankful smile at his reassurance, settling in the chair opposite him with a drastic sigh.
"i hope so… that poor birdy," you go quiet for a moment, gaze drifted off into the distance in thought and xiao takes the moment to recollect himself, leaning back in his chair as he admires you subtly. you really was starting to become a pain for him, "you'll have to join me next time so you can hear it! you seem to know a lot about birds, xiao - maybe we can go find it!"
xiao grimaces but he doesn't let it show, a crack of a smile on his face at the sentiment behind you caring so much for this bird; caring for him, without ever realising it. perhaps it wouldn't be so bad to let you a little closer, after all these pains weren't hurting him.
"i'll have to take you up on that offer." he muses, fixing his gloves as a wide beam brightens up your face. oh, what a grave he has dug for himself.

-⚔️ The Traveler and Paimon were just wandering around sumeru when they got called to meet up with Nahida. When they both made it to nahida they saw her talking to a child who looked like they were half listening and half paying attention to they toys they were playing with. -⚔️ After Paimon made their presents known Nahida walked towards them and started explaining why they were here, she explained that the god of teyvat was here and asked if they could protect and care for them after explaining that the child was the god of teyvat and being such a young child they are defensless and even though she is sure no one would hurt them people cough the fatui cough might try to take them. -⚔️ The Traveler agreed straight away and went to talk to you, after some talking with each other the Traveler picked you up as you three said goodbye to Nahida and made your way to the place the Traveler and Paimon were staying for the meantime. -⚔️ Paimon loved playing with you and your toys, you were just so cute and calming to be around, you two also ate lots of food together. You guys were almost like siblings and the Traveler was like your parent!
"Okay you two, we will be going to the market to get some things okay? go get your shoes on little light and wait near the door okay?" you nodded and ran to go put your shoes on. After a little while of you rocking back and forth the Traveler and Paimon came to the door and you three went off. The traveler was looking at different stalls when they heard the sound of you screaming, they looked over to see a fatui agent trying to drag you away from the market, as soon as they were about to run over the whole ground shook and Paimon held onto the Traveler, they looked over to see you were sitting down and crying with the fatui agent no were to bee seen, not even thinking twice the Traveler ran over and scooped you up in their arms and started comforting you. After they were finished and your crying turned into small sniffles they laughed softly "thats a new one huh? thats the perks of being the god of teyvat I guess"

-🧪 When all the fatui got called by the Tsaritsa they weren't expecting to be told that the god of teyvat was found and one of them are going to take care of them. -🧪 Thats when Dottore found out that he was going to take care of the god, the god thats a child at that and I mean even he was confused that they were trusting him with a child but yet again he would never think of hurting you. -🧪 He picked you up after bowing to the Tsaritsa and left to his office, contacting pantalone to get you some toys, coloring books and everything else you wanted. -🧪 He never did experiments while you were in the room and always called Pantalone to take you out whenever he was going to do experiments.
"Dot! Dot! look what I drew! its us and Mr Pantalone!" you squealed as you ran into his office and showing him your drawing, he smiled and patted you on the head as you giggled softly "that looks amazing my little god, have you shown Mr Pantalone?" he asked pausing his report on his new experiment and turning his attention to you, you shook your head "well you should go show him huh?" you gasped and quickly nodded running out of his office and making your way to pantalones office. It has been a few hours scence you came and showed Dottore your drawing and he was just thinking you were deciding to spend time with Pantalone when he heard screaming that sounded like your voice, quickly he stood up from his desk and was about to run to the door when it slammed open to show 2 new fatui agents holding you. Dottore marched over with a dark auror around him and commanded them to drop you, after they did you quickly got up and ran to him hugging his leg and crying into his pants, he picked you up and softly comforted you while usally he wouldn't show this side infront of fatui agents these ones wouldn't last long enough to step out of the room. After you calmed down and fell asleep in his arms he called Pantalone and he took you from Dottore, meanwhile the two new agents knew that they messed up big time and that this would be the last time they ever got to live. No one hurts you and gets away with it while your in Dottores care.

-🎨 Albedo was looking at different papers when Klee ran into the house dragging another kid with her, she started rambling but they were able to make out the important parts such as you being the god of teyvat and that Amber found you when she was out and brought you too the favonius knights and that Klee took you. -🎨 Albedo smiled softly and crouched down infront of you and asked if you were okay staying with it and Klee, you nodded and hugged him. -🎨 Albedo soon informed the knights that they would be taking care of you and that you will be staying at their house. While it was telling the knights that Klee decided to show you her bombs! -🎨 You mostly stayed inside the house helping Albedo with paper work and cooking, when your not in the house your running around with Klee and blowing fish up and covering Klee up so she doesn't get introuble!
Albedo tried not to laugh and only let out small snickers at seeing you on your tippy toes trying to see over the tall desk to see what it was drawing, after enough of your suffering you pouted and turned around looking up at Albedo with puppy eyes and grabby hands, shaking his head while smiling he picked you up and placed you on his lap and you looked with sparkles in your eyes at the drawing they did. They got you some paper and crayons and you started your own art with your tongue slightly poked out showing your concentration. A couple hours later you you were finished and lifted it up to show albedo "look! look!" you squealed while showing your finished drawing of it, Klee and you as a family! Albedo smiled softly and picked you up making its way to the kitchen "that's amazing my little artist! why don't you hang it on the fridge and grab some stuff for dinner?" you nodded and slid out of their grip, running over to the fridge and hanging the drawing up. After Klee got home you all cooked dinner together like the small found family you were!

-🐍 It was like what happened with Klee and Albedo, Baizhu was looking around for his medicine when he heard Qiqi's voice calling out for them, when he turned around to greet Qiqi it saw that she had another child that looked like the god of teyvat. -🐍 After Changsheng confirmed that you were the god it took it upon themself to look after you and Qiqi, Changsheng didn't want another child running around but she could let it pass just for you. -🐍 You helped Baizhu out by getting different ingredients for medicine, putting cold towels on paitents heads, keeping Hu toa away from Qiqi whenever she tried to steal Qiqi, you were just a helpful little assistant! -🐍 Qiqi also loved having a sibling around to keep her company and to keep the Hu toa lady away from her, she once intruduced you to coco goat milk and you loved it!
"Itss been quiet for a while hassn't it Baizhu?" Changsheng said while watching Baizhu write down a letter to a paitents family telling them that the paitent was okay and healthy "mm, it has been quiet hasn't it? I'll go check on the kids" they got up and left the room, slowly shutting the door behind him so it doesn't wake the person up and making his way to the place they sent you and Qiqi to collect some glaze lilies. When Baizhu made it they didn't see you two at first glance but after looking around it saw you and Qiqi making little flower crowns out of the glaze lilies, smiling they made their way towards you too and sat down "what happened to collecting glaze lilies you two?" he asked with a smirk on its face, you just smiled and started giggling "but we made flower crowns for you and Changsheng!" you got up and plopped a flower crown on his head and a smaller one on Changshengs head. You squealed and started laughing when Baizhu grabbed you and started tickling your sides "this is payback for making me worried little assistant!" you couldn't stop laughing as you fell into Baizhus lap, Qiqi running over and plopping into their lap too.

The Moment They Fell For You (3)
Synopsis: Short stories about the moment in time that the character fell in love with reader. Continuation of Sumeru characters.
CW: Mentions of being hurt
HC: Reader is gender neutral and does not have a vision. Reader is a doctor (Tighnari) and a Trader/Merchant (Candace)
Characters: Tighnari, Candace
Note: I already started with Sumeru characters, I might as well finish them all before I go to the next region. After this there will only be two more post for the Sumeru characters which will hopefully have Wanderer, Layla, Kaveh and Faruzan. Also this one was not my proudest work. Hopefully I will either re-write this or make better stories for these two, they deserve the world. Spoilers for the story in Tighnari's section. Anyway, enjoy.
Tighnari
Tighnari was known for being self-sufficient. He made his elixirs and medicine for not only others but for himself as well. At this point everyone was certain that he could have easily got the title of a doctor if he pursued it, however, as humble of a person he was, he refused to be a forest ranger stationed at Gandharva Ville. Which leads to you now, feeling useless.
You, unlike him, actually had the title of a doctor. You were also stationed at Gandharva Ville alongside the team. However, at this point, almost everyone tended to go to him for help rather than you. You still got your pay but was it worth it if it meant you would have to always be second to him? It was humiliating, to say the least.
You tried to not let it get to you. You were a doctor, it was your job to attend to those when they needed it and you knew even if they didn’t like you, you couldn’t refuse service unless deemed otherwise. So anytime someone had shown displeasure of having you treat them rather than the saint of the forest rangers, you just suck it up and try your best. You wouldn’t say your abilities were lacking either, especially since you were trained to do this for almost years. Tighnari praised your abilities constantly. However, Tighnari himself had such a great reputation, a couple of good words couldn’t replace the original.
Even if the group never acknowledged you as the official doctor, in the written agreements you were considered to be one, therefore you always had to be near at least one active team at all times. This usually meant you were patrolling with Tighnari. He made sure you kept your distance, which meant it was usually you trailing behind him, watching him be cool and in action while you sat on a log counting how many boar shrooms go past you during that time.
Tighnari also being so perfect at taking care of himself, even if he was hurt he already had the tonics made to heal himself after battles, rendering you once again useless to the team. The last straw was when he decided that he wanted to try random mushrooms around the Sumeru forest, against your better judgment, and somehow managed to live through it without your assistance. At this point you decided that maybe you were not needed in this team, beginning to write your official request to change teams.
Only mid-way through writing your letter, you were taken to Pardis Dhyai for another request. It seemed one of the scholars, Haypasia was infected with a maddening disease and now had to be taken care of specially. You sighed, shoving the half-written letter into your pocket to follow Tighnari to the location.
_ _ _
When you met her you were certain she must have caught a horrible disease. She kept going on and on about contacting the divine being and you couldn’t wrap your head around the rest of the nonsense she kept spewing out. To keep both you and Tighnari’s minds at ease, you conjured a sleeping tonic to rest her mind.
“Efficient as always. Hopefully, she will calm down after she wakes up.” Tighnari praised you. You let out a light laugh, a sudden guilt in your chest. He never said anything bad about your work, it felt wrong leaving just because others couldn’t see your effort. However, he was the source of why you were having such an issue so you weren’t sure what to do about it.
Sudden noises began to be heard outside. You watch Tighnari, his ears up and alert, watching the door attentively. “Keep away from the main entrance, I need to get rid of some unwanted guests, “ He said on his way out. You nodded even though you knew he couldn’t see you.
It was now just you and an unconscious Haypasia in the building. You sat at the edge of the bench she lay on, pulling out the letter once more. You began to finish off your letter.
  “Dear Grand Sage,
It has come to my attention that the forest patrol at Gandharva Ville is sufficient enough with staff that they do not need my services in the area. Therefore I would like to transfer to a patrol station in another area that may require my services.
If evaluation or proof is needed, I will be happily willing to provide a date and time for it.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Best Regards,-”
Just as you were about to sign off your letter, you heard Haypasia stir in her sleep, mumbles of panic in her voice. You immediately stood up, dropping the letter in your hand. Either she was suffering ailments from the disease or the medicine, either way, you needed to get her a soothing medication as soon as possible.
You looked around for your medical bags only to realize that Tighnari must have taken them with him to meet his “guests.” You bite your lip, hesitantly looking for anything you could do.
“I’ll try to come back as soon as possible, stay strong.” You whisper to Haypasia, before running out of the room to find supplies. You hoped nothing wrong would happen during that time.
_ _ _
You were only gone for a couple of minutes at most however the minute you returned the only view your eyes laid on was now a stable Haypasia and an injured Tighnari. He sat on a mechanical crab, wincing horribly. You decided now wasn’t the time to question the crab, and immediately rushed to him.
“Are you alright?! What happened?!” You yell out. For once he wasn’t preparing something to cure his pain, which meant it must have been something severe or incurable. He let out a slight chuckle, trying not to cringe from the pain.
“Our guests just gave me a present. Not a pleasant one but they insisted I have it.” He joked, trying to lighten the mood. Being rewarded with a harsh glare from you, he sighed. “I was struck by lightning.”
Your jaw dropped, and so did the medical supplies in your hands. “WHAT?!” You yelled once more. You could feel tears form in your eyes. He looked at you worriedly, trying to extend an arm towards you, only to be stopped by the pain worsening. “Don’t you dare try to comfort me when you’re the one like this!” You reply with a sharp tone which made the ears on his head flick down, almost like a sad little cat who was being scolded.
You looked at the crab. “Put him down on the bench please.” You command. To both you and Tighnari’s surprise, it followed your orders, gently guiding him towards the nearest empty bench.
“Hey, you're supposed to follow my commands,” Tighnari mumbled. You rolled your eyes before sitting down next to him, motioning to your lap. “Put your head down, you need rest. The bench is rough so you can lay your head on my lap instead.” Tighnari looked at your lap and back to you.
“Now.” He slowly laid down on your lap, trying not to cause more damage to his wounds.
“There is no treatment for being struck by lightning from what I learned, however, if you rest enough you can use your vision to counter any elemental energy inside you.” You wipe any tears from your eyes before they got worse. “I’m sorry I can’t help you, like always.” You mumble, gently pushing his hair out of his face, petting his head.
Tighnari on the other hand couldn’t rest, he wasn’t even sure the words you spoke were registering in his mind. Your hand felt like heaven especially when his body was in such pain. All he could was stare at you as you tried your best not to cry. He didn’t expect you to react this badly when he got hurt. Especially since you had seen him get hurt before.
You glared at him once more, placing your hand over his eyes to cover it up. “Go to sleep, you idiot.” No matter how hard his heart was beating, he still somehow managed to slowly go to sleep. The feeling of your hands stroking his head was still faintly in his mind.
_ _ _
It was no surprise Tighnari recovered perfectly fine. Vision users had a special talent to heal at a faster rate than normal individuals. However, one aspect of Tighnari had changed and that was the fact whenever he got injured or hurt he asked for your help. This included minor injuries.
You weren’t sure what triggered this change but it made things a lot easier for you knowing that you were still needed by the camp. His sudden change also meant the team was also opening up to be treated by you. You almost forgot that you had even tried to write a letter to switch patrol areas.
Tighnari didn’t forget though. The day he was injured he caught a glimpse of the letter peaking through the bushes from where you had dropped it. He saw you carry it around multiple times so he had assumed it was important, keeping it with him until he got better. He didn’t mean to peak, you just had not closed it up at the time.
He disapproved of the contents of the letter and definitely didn't want you to follow through with what was written, especially since something clicked in his subconscious mind that day he got hurt. So he had been holding on to it without even thinking of handing it back.
He liked being efficient and getting things done on his own accord, but if being treated by you meant you would stay longer by his side, he was willing to play sick all day. He just hoped you wouldn’t catch on until he could confess.
Candance
Candace rarely stepped foot outside of her village. It was the world she only knew to say the least. Looking after the village as a guardian since the mere age of 8 meant she wasn’t one to travel outside often. She was almost certain she had not stepped out of Sumeru at any point in her life.
Yet you were quite the opposite. The minute you were old enough to travel you already headed your way to Liyue, far from her reach. How was she going to protect you if you left? She wasn’t sure and it made her nervous. Every day you were gone she wondered whether you would ever come back. She had no way of knowing.
You always did come back. A bag full of various items from all over the world. You started to make a living from it, trading items from region to region. It suited your free-spirited nature. You didn’t only bring items for trading of course. You brought gifts for the village, this of course included Candace.
_ _ _
Candace made her rounds around the village It was a typical work day for her. Then she heard the jingle of bells and the footsteps of sumpter beasts coming nearby. Immediately she headed towards the entrance. Of course, it was you, with your bag full of trinkets and your body covered in bandages.
Candace stopped in her tracks. Bandages. You didn’t dress up like that. She watched as you limped towards her, a grimace on your face that only made her eyes grow wide. She ran up to you, holding you up for support while you tried to catch your breath. “Ha, tough trip this time.” You try to joke. Candace was having none of that.
She immediately picked you up bridal style, to which you could only respond with a yelp. Leaving your supplies and sumpter beasts in the sand, she ran to her house. She should have convinced you to never leave the village. Look at the state you ended up in. This could have all been prevented if you stayed by her side in the village where she could take care of you.
She ignored you as you kept telling her you were fine. All she could think was how stupid she was to agree to let you go over and over again. She dropped you on the bed, rushing towards her dresser to get more bandages and medicine.
“You don’t need to bandage me again, I did an ok job!” You whine, showing off your bandages to her. Candace sighed, returning with the medical equipment. “Oh please, when was the last time you replaced them? I bet you wore the same wraps the entire trip.” You pouted, flopping onto the bed in defeat.
“Sit up, I need to change them.” You face away from her, arms crossed. “You think of me as a baby. I’m a grown-ass adult!” You mumble, refusing to look her way. Candace was certain she was going to sigh away all the life in her body having to deal with you. “Well someone needs to protect you. Look at you. Every time you come back you’re worse than before, covered head to toe in scars and blood! It’s almost like you have a death wish.”
You finally peak over your shoulder. You looked at Candace, who continued to have a pained expression on her face. You could see her shake. Frustration? Sadness? It didn’t matter because she was not enjoying it.
“Why do you have to leave me here and run away? Do you want to die? The minute I look away you’re always gone off to someplace else and I can’t go with you. How am I supposed to protect you when you keep leaving? One day you’re going to end up dead and I won’t even know what happened to you.”
You sat up, hand digging into your pocket. “Candace.”
“I’m so tired of this, you have always been so reckless. Did you forget this was your home? Did you find something so incredible out there that you forget? Why do I bother at this point, it’s not like you care.”
Candace wasn’t sure what was coming out of her mouth at this moment. She was always so rational and careful with her words. She would never say things like this, always keep such thoughts to herself. You somehow managed to make it all spill out. “Candace..” You say once more, pulling out a box from your pocket. You stood up now, facing her.
“What now? You’re going to leave again? Did you come here to stop by before going off on your next journey? Where to? Fontaine? Mondstadt? Hell, I heard Inazuma opened up recently, you can go there and leave me alone again.”
You grabbed the supplies out of her hand, tossing them on the bed. You reached out and grabbed one of her hands. “I got you a gift.” You placed the box in her hand. She looked at you, unphased. You gave her the softest smile you could, helping her open the box to see the contents inside.
“It’s earrings. It’s a pretty rare stone, it’s blue when you look at it, but when you put it up to the light it reflects a yellow tint. It reminded me of your eyes.” You say you enclose the box in her hand. You reached for her other hand and grasped them ever so.
“Candace,” You smiled as she looked at you, almost dazed. “Even if I ever end up with all my bones broken, I am certain I will always end up finding my way towards you. I have seen almost every crevice of Teyvat, and I would still end up in Aaru Village by your side.”
You grip her hands tighter, your eyes not leaving her even for a second. A small gentle smile on your face made her heat up. Had you always looked so mature? When did you become so different? You were pouting like a child a minute ago. She always thought you were careless, always lost in your world of adventures. But here you were, looking at her as if she was the world to you.
You finally break the staring match, looking down at her hands. “Look at you, worried about my scars when you’re as bad.” You loosen your grip, now circling the scars and calluses on her hand. It felt electrifying.
You let her hands go and she felt cold, your touch made her feel too complete and it confused her. You looked at her once more, she watched the way your eyes were shining. She could only feel how amazing it felt, how wonderful it was that you looked at her in such a light. “Don’t worry about me. You already have a village to take care of, that’s already a big responsibility. Let me help you instead.”
Standing up, you began to make your way towards the door, only stopping near the entrance to turn back to her. “Now come outside, I got gifts for everyone and sumpter beasts to feed.” with that, you began to make your way out the door.
But, Candace couldn’t stand up. Her usual strength drained. Her legs felt like jelly and she could feel her heartbeat still unsteady. She felt cold but when she raised a hand to her cheek she could still feel the heat.
She looked down at the earrings in her palms. All your gifts were usually kept in her cupboard. You always gifted her such precious items, too valuable considering how she works. However this time, she wore them, taking off her old ones and placing what you had given on. She stood up using the bed as support and hobbled towards the mirror on the dressing table. The earrings shined just as you had told her, blue with a tint of yellow.
She hoped you kept your promise to protect Aaru village with her. She also planned on making sure you take responsibility for what you had done to her that day.

Into the Void
Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: You never had a single thought about falling into the Abyss until it happened to you while you were in Sumeru trying to gather some Viparyas for your research. Who knew that you being a mortal, would be stripped from you so soon all because the Abyss needed a new ruler.
Note: I have decided to combine two requests together because I have been lagging behind on completing requests because of how busy I am with my university. So I've been thinking about posting mini stories (either for the Isekai'd!reader series or for individual characters), but I'm not entirely sure if I should do it because of how busy I am with school. Anyway, I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: Blood, slight violence, but it's just a pinch of violence; other than those two, I'm not entirely sure if there's another warning needed 🤔 it's hurt/comfort
Word Count: 9.7k
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You run as fast as you can. Your heart is racing in your chest; your blood is pounding in your eardrums. You’re panting so hard that you can taste the coppery blood in your mouth. You have no idea where you’re running or who you’re running from. All you can do is run and not look back at what’s chasing you through the thick forest of Sumeru. The last thing you remember was having to trek up the mountains of Sumeru in search of the Viparyas to study the mysterious plant, only for something or someone to chase you through the forest of Sumeru.
“Leave me alone!” You screech.
You quicken your pace and dodge the trees; the scenery around you becomes a blur as you race through the forest, trying to flee from what’s chasing after you. All you want is to grab a Viparyas or two, bring them back to the Akademiya, and study the flowers for your botany class. But due to unforeseen circumstances, you will not be able to gather some Viparyas for your studies until you’re able to lose whatever is chasing after you.
It was like you have gotten slower, and the thing has gotten faster. You jump and hide behind the bushes, hoping to catch your breath quickly before having to make a run again. Yes, you do not know what you’re running from or who you’re running from, but alarms go off in your head, telling you to run immediately. You clutch your hands to your chest, press yourself up against a tree behind the bush, and try your best to even out your breath. Your legs are sore, your chest and throat hurt, your head is pounding, and you feel like you’re going to pass out at any moment.
SNAP!
Your head shoots up from the sound of a twig snapping a foot in front of you. Without a second thought, you jump out from behind the bushes and continue to run for your life in the forest. Your heart is racing in your chest so much that it is starting to hurt, causing you to slow down in your tracks, stumbling over vines. The tree branches whip across your face as you race further into the forest, not knowing where you’re going. As far as you know, you’re straying farther and farther away from Vanarana.
You continue to venture deeper into the forest, hoping to catch sight of a familiar surrounding that Tighnari once showed you. Unfortunately for you, with every tree you see and every corner you turn, everything looks the same, and you know that there’s no way for you to get out of the forest quickly without getting caught. Heck, you’re not even sure if you’ll be able to leave the forest and return to the Akademiya.
Your right foot ends up getting caught on a vine on the ground, causing you to stumble and fall into the large crack in the ground. You feel your stomach drop, and you flail your arms to try to get a hold of something so you wouldn’t fall further into the cracks, but you end up grabbing nothing but air. Your hair whips around your face, obscuring your vision, and your heart sinks into the pit of your stomach as you’re free-falling somewhere unknown.
“Xiao!!!” You screamed, hoping the Yaksha would come to your rescue.
To your dismay, the Yaksha never shows up to rescue you from your doom. You continue to plummet into the unknown. Your eyes blur with tears with each passing second. You then land on the hard ground, wailing in pain when you land on your arm, bending it in the way arms aren’t supposed to be bent.
You slowly kneel and clutch your injured arm to your chest, tears rolling down your cheeks as you look at your surroundings. It did not look like an underground of some sort. You’re in an endless darkness of void; there is little to no light. You slowly get up from the ground, your arm still pressing up against your chest. You don’t know what you look like currently, but you’re certain that your Akademiya uniform is dirty and ripped at the ends from running and getting caught onto branches in the forest. You look up, hoping to see the entrance where you have fallen from, but to no avail. It’s like the ground has opened up underneath your feet and swallowed you whole before zipping the entrance away.
You swallow the lump in your throat, wiping the endless tears that continue to roll down your cheeks. “Where am I?” You whisper, your lower lips trembling, your body shaking with fear.
You squint into the darkness and begin to wander around aimlessly, hoping to find an exit. You’re taking baby steps, afraid that you’re going to trip and fall over something that can lead you to another endless void of darkness. You stop in your tracks when you feel something staring directly at you; goosebumps form on your arms, the hairs at the back of your neck stand up, and your heartbeat begins to race against your ribcage.
“Oh, what’s this? I see that we have a visitor from the outer realms.” A deep voice coming from the darkness chuckles.
You freeze and tense up. “Who are you? Where am I?” You squeak, curling into yourself, seeking comfort.
“Oh? You don’t know where you are? You poor thing.” The voice coos mockingly.
This time, the voice from the darkness is closer to where you’re standing. You shrink away from the voice and slowly back up, hoping to find a corner somewhere to hide and seek comfort like a terrified deer that is cornered by a predator.
You grit your teeth together. “Answer my question,” You growl, digging your nails into the palm of your hands as you wait for the voice to give you answers.
A figure is now looming over you, staring down at you with its red eyes. Just the mere sight of the creature made your heart fall out of your ass. Standing in front of you is the Pyro Abyss Lector. You stumble back when the Pyro Abyss Lector hovers closer to you, holding your uninjured arm out in front of you, hoping it would stop the Pyro Abyss Lector from coming any closer to you.
The Pyro Abyss Lector holds his hand out. “I am Enjou, the Pyro Abyss Lector. And you, my dear, are in the Abyss.”
“The Abyss?! How did I end up in the Abyss!?” You whisper to yourself. You continue to back away from the Pyro Abyss Lector named Enjou. “No, no, no, no, no.” You shake your head and pat your cheeks, trying to keep your sanity together. “I fell through the cracks in the forest of Sumeru. There’s no way for me to end up in the Abyss,” You tremble.
Enjou chuckles. “In denial, are we? I can feel your sanity deteriorate as we speak.” From the tone of his voice, you can tell that he is smirking at your misery.
“How do I get out of here?” You demand.
Enjou lets out a snort before bursting out laughing at your sudden burst of confidence and determination to get out of the Abyss. How cute. Now he can see why the former Abyss Prince and Princess were so enthralled by you. Your little burst of confidence is adorable but not cute enough to get you out of the Abyss easily.
You look at the Pyro Abyss Lector with a confused glare, wondering why he finds your comment amusing. Is he mocking you? “What’s so funny!? Do you really think that I’ll be stuck in the Abyss for the rest of my life!?” You demand.
Enjou wipes his imaginary tears, crossing his arms over his chest. You can almost see a smile on his face if he had a mouth. “Your confidence and determination are adorable. “I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you’ll be able to make it out of the Abyss, but I can’t promise you anything. Especially when you’re not from this universe.” Enjou squats in front of you and taps on the tip of your nose mockingly.
“What do you mean? I am from this universe. Are you crazy?”  You squeak.
Enjou towers over you and slams his hand on the wall behind you beside your head. You flinch and glare up at Enjou, who is drilling holes into your skull with scrutiny. “I know you’re not from this world, human. We all do.”
You look at Enjou with confusion. “Who’s we?” You whisper.
Enjou leans in close to your face; you turn your head and close your eyes. You don’t like how close he’s standing in front of you, nor do you like how close his face is to yours. Enjou reaches forward, grabs you by your cheeks, his palm caressing your chin, and turns your head so you can face him.
“Oh, don’t play dumb with me now, [Y/N]. We’ve been watching you since the beginning; the Abyss is always watching.” Enjou whispers into your ears, sending chills down your spine.
“What do you want from me?” You spat, clenching your jaws while glaring up at the Pyro Abyss Lector.
Enjou tightens his grip around your face, making you visibly wince. “Instead of prancing around Teyvat, how do you feel about becoming the next ruler of the Abyss?”
You squirm in his grasp, grabbing Enjou’s wrist, attempting to pry his hands away from your face, only to fail. “Never!” You grunt, thrashing around in Enjou’s grasp. “I will never rule the Abyss, and I refuse to!” You growl.
Enjou chuckles. “Oh, you think you have a choice! How cute.”
Back at the abode, there is nothing but chaos. People are shouting over each other, pointing accusing fingers at each other. It has been a day since you disappeared out of thin air without a single trace, and no one can track you down. Not even the best Harbingers can track down your location.
“Xiao,” Zhongli says, looking over at the brooding Yaksha, “you said that [Y/N] called out your name, but when you appeared after they called you, they disappeared out of thin air. Is that correct?” Zhongli asks.
Xiao shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t know how to describe it. I tried to grab them as they were falling; it was like my hands went through theirs.” Xiao clenches his fist, reminiscing about the horrors a day prior.
Scaramouche narrows his eyes and props his feet up on the ottoman. “How come you didn’t jump in after them when that happened?”
Xiao sighs and closes his eyes. “If I could, I would. But when I tried to go after them, it was like the ground had closed up,” Xiao replies.
“How strange….” Ayato murmurs, crossing his arms over his chest.
Dainsleif looks around the room. “Does anyone know about their whereabouts when they were in Sumeru?” Dainsleif asks.
“[Y/N] mentioned gathering Viparyas for their botany class to study the flower,” replied Albedo.
Tighnari lets out a hum, propping his left hand on his hip while stroking his chin with his right hand. “Viparyas can only be found in Vanarana, in the Grove of Dreams. If [Y/N] were to go to the real version of the Vanarana, they’ll only find the Padisarahs,” Tighnari murmurs.
“Could it be that [Y/N] went to the Grove of Dreams?” Thoma asks, chewing on his bottom lip nervously.
Aether shakes his head at Thoma’s question. “There’s no strange hole that closes up when you fall into it in the Grove of Dreams. It’s possible that [Y/N] could have fallen into a cave, but after hearing Xiao say that the ground swallowed [Y/N] up, I’m not too sure anymore.” Aether sighs in defeat.
“I really hope that [Y/N]’s okay. They’ve been gone for one day, and we don’t know where they are exactly. I’m really worried about them.” Heizou expresses, his shoulders slumping as he holds the throw pillow to his chest.
Cyno crosses his arms over his chest. “One day doesn’t sound too bad, as long as it doesn’t drag on for over a week,” said Cyno.
Venti scrunches his face up. “Being away from [Y/N] for that long and not seeing their face for over a day or almost a week sounds awful,” Venti grumbles, messing with his braids.
“Where’s Childe? He’s been gone for a few hours, and we still haven’t heard anything back from him.” Al Haitham comments, leaning against the wooden pillar in the estate.
Gorou shrugs his shoulders at Al Haitham’s question. “The last thing he said was that he’ll be scouting the area where [Y/N] was last seen. It’s a good thing that Dottore made a bracelet for [Y/N] that has an elemental trace on the bracelet,” Gorou says, sitting down on the wooden stool with a shaky sigh as he runs his hands through his hair.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing that the creepy doctor did that,” Itto says, pointing his thumb over his shoulder to the icy blue-haired man.
Dottore raises his eyebrows at Itto. “Creepy doctor?” Dottore mutters to himself.
Pantalone snickers. “A fitting nickname for the Doctor,” Pantalone whispers to Dottore, earning an elbow to the gut from Dottore.
“I really hope that Childe comes back with some good news. I have a bad feeling about [Y/N]’s sudden disappearance while they’re out in the forest looking for Viparyas. Their disappearance feels intentional,” Baizhu mutters, adjusting the glasses on the bridge of his nose.
Diluc raises his eyebrows at Baizhu. “What, like their disappearance was planned, or are you implying that they were targeted by someone?” Diluc asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Someone is targeting [Y/N], for sure. I don’t think [Y/N] would ever intentionally disappear. The only time they “disappear” is to hide away in their bedroom to take extra naps between their studies. Other than that, [Y/N] wouldn’t disappear without a trace,” Kaeya sighs, closing his eyes and resting his head on the palm of his hands.
Kazuha sighs from the comfort of the couch. A throw blanket draped over Kazuha’s legs as he clutches the throw pillow to his chest. “I can’t help but notice that there has been an increase in danger lately,” Kazuha murmurs, playing with the tassels on the throw pillow.
The door to the estate slams open, and Childe runs into the mansion with Ganyu and Lumine following after him; the three of them look frantic and almost terrified.
“Rex Lapis,” Ganyu whispers, breathing heavily as she tries to catch her breath. “We have found some traces of [Y/N],” Ganyu swallows the lump in her throat and nudges Lumine lightly in the ribs with her elbow.
Lumine looks over at Aether, her eyes brimmed with tears as she holds up a blood-stained fabric. Al Haitham snatches the cloth from Lumine’s grasp and examines the material closely, with Tighnari and Cyno standing by his side.
“It’s [Y/N]’s Akademiya uniform.” Lumine croaks, wiping the tears that made their way down her cheeks.
Childe grits his teeth and clenches his hands into tight fists. “I know where [Y/N] is, but you’re not going to like it,” Childe states. Everyone in the room looks falls quiet and over at Childe.
“Where are they?” Cyno asks, crossing his arms over his chest, occasionally looking down at the white fabric that is now stained with dried blood.
Childe takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. “[Y/N] fell into the Abyss, just like how I fell into the Abyss when I was fourteen,” Childe says.
“But how? How can we know for sure that [Y/N] has fallen into the Abyss?” Al Haitham demands, clutching onto the torn, bloody fabric tightly.
Lumine lets out a shaky breath. “[Y/N] was being chased by an Abyss Lector. After they have fallen through the crack in the Earth, the Abyss Lector sealed the cracks and disappeared,” Lumine explains.
“Are you implying that they have planned this entire time?” Pierro asks, crossing his arms over his chest with a deep frown on his face.
Lumine shrugs her shoulders. “I can’t say for certain, but what I do know is that the Abyss have been watching [Y/N] since their first arrival at Teyvat,” said Lumine.
Baizhu narrows his eyes, gripping his arms tightly, his nails digging into the skin of his arms, leaving a mark. “I thought the Abyss had been taken down,” Baizhu mutters.
Dainsleif sighs. “Unfortunately, the Abyss is still as active as they were since the beginning. Only they don’t have an Abyss Prince or Princess ruling over them,” Dainsleif replies.
“Oh no….” Aether trails off, his face turning almost as white as Paimon’s hair.
Everyone turns to look at Aether, confused by his reaction. Aether looks visibly sick; he looks like he’s about to pass out or go into cardiac arrest. Aether holds up his index finger and walks over to the wall, and leans against it, trying to steady his racing heart.
“Oh no? What do you mean by oh no?” Venti squeaks, looking at Aether nervously.
Aether looks over at Lumine, who fumbles with her gloves nervously. The two trade looks before nodding their heads as if they were mentally communicating with each other. Lumine takes a step forward and gulps. “Since the Abyss doesn’t have a ruler anymore and they have been watching [Y/N]’s every move since their arrival, there’s a very high chance that the Abyss is going to make [Y/N] the new Abyss ruler,” Lumine says softly.
“What?!” Heizou gasps, looking at Lumine and Aether in disbelief.
Ayato raises his hand, his eyebrows narrowing. “And how are they going to make [Y/N] the new ruler of the Abyss when they’re not even from this world, nor are they immortal or a god.”
Tighnari strokes his chin. “I heard that there was a group of scholars at the Akademiya that tried to make their own archon, but that project was later scrapped twenty percent into the project,” Tighnari murmurs.
“What are you implying, Tighnari?” Scaramouche asks.
Albedo frowns and closes his eyes, letting out a quiet sigh. “Tighnari is implying that there’s a possible chance that the Abyss is going to find a way to make [Y/N] an immortal being before making [Y/N] the new ruler of the Abyss,” Albedo answers.
“Is that even possible? To make a mortal immortal, that is.” Kazuha asks, looking over at Dottore and Albedo.
Dottore hesitates for a moment before nodding his head slowly. “It is possible, but experiments like that take time and many trials and errors. If the Abyss were to find a way to turn [Y/N] into an immortal being in a short amount of time, it could cause detrimental damages to [Y/N],” Dottore says, tucking his hands into his pockets.
“How detrimental are we speaking?” Kaeya whispers.
Dottore presses his lips into a thin line and looks away, unsure whether he should answer Kaeya’s question truthfully or not. Making a human into an immortal being not only takes time, but there are a lot of risks in doing such experiments. One of the risks is the test subject’s potentially losing their life before the experiment is completed.
Zhongli sighs and clenches his jaws. “If [Y/N]’s mind and body are strong enough for it, they will live. If not, then they will die from the excessive experiments performed on them.”
“I’m going to kill them all if they lay a single hand on [Y/N]’s head,” Diluc growls, his jaws tensing up.
Gorou suddenly stands up and begins to pace back and forth in the living room. “We need to find a way to get [Y/N] out of there as soon as possible! I don’t want them to be in the Abyss any longer, or else something bad is going to happen.”
“Relax, Gorou! I’m sure [Y/N] will be okay! We’ll find them very soon, and they’ll be back at the abode in no time, safe and sound.” Itto says, placing his hand on Gorou’s shoulders.
Thoma chuckles weakly, letting his hands fall to his side. “One day is too long. We don’t even know whether [Y/N] is safe and uninjured or not.” Thoma lets out a deflated sigh and swallows the lump in his throat.
Childe clears his throat to grab everyone’s attention. “A day may have only passed in Teyvat, but in the Abyss, a month has gone by,” said Childe.
“So, for us, [Y/N] has been gone for a day. But in the Abyss, [Y/N] has been trapped in the Abyss for a month now?” Heizou asks.
Childe nods his head at Heizou’s question. Childe couldn’t help but think of the time when he was fourteen, the age when he fell into the Abyss himself. Childe spent three Teyvat days in the Abyss but three months of Abyss time. Times pass differently in Teyvat and in the Abyss, and it makes Childe wonder if you knew how much time has passed or not.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Shouldn’t we start looking for [Y/N] immediately if we don’t want them to wait any further?” Al Haitham asks, his gaze falling to the cloth in his hands.
Cyno nods his head. “Right. The longer we make them wait, the more we’re letting the Abyss corrupt them,” said Cyno.
In the Abyss, the sound of metal clashing rings throughout the void. You grunt and grip onto the hilt of the sword with a tight fist, pushing against Enjou’s blade. You didn’t know how you ended up in this situation where you’re sword fighting with a Pyro Abyss Lector in the Abyss. You lost track of time, only to find yourself in this situation where Enjou demands that you fight for your freedom from the Abyss.
“I will never be the ruler of the Abyss! Release me from the Void Realm, or else!” You demand, gritting your teeth together.
Enjou lets out a loud laugh and shoves you back; you stumble and drop your sword on the ground, landing beside the worn weapon. While you’re no fighter, you managed to keep up with thy Pyro Abyss Lector. It was all thanks to Childe and his persistence in getting you to spar with him. Without Childe making you spar with him and the others, you would be in a different situation with the Abyss Lector. You quickly roll out of the way when a ball of flame flies in your direction, burning the ends of your Akademiya uniform.
Enjou stands in front of you, crossing his arms over his chest. “For someone inexperience with combat, you hold up quite well,” Enjou sounds amused.
You wipe the sweat from your forehead and glare at Enjou. “Answer my question: why should I be the new ruler for the Abyss when I’m not from your universe, nor am I immortal?” You get up from the ground and wipe the sweat off the palm of your hands on your sullied Akademiya uniform and take a deep breath.
Enjou snorts sarcastically. “Why would you not want to be the new ruler of the Abyss? You get infinite power.”
You roll your eyes. “That sounds lame and boring,” You said. “Being immortal sounds fun, but it sounds torturous. Imagine watching those die around you while you live on for thousands of years.” You cross your arms over your chest with a dissatisfied frown on your face.
“Then you’ll know how that Bough Keeper feels,” Enjou replies. “He was never immortal; he was cursed with immortality.”
You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose, taking in slow deep breaths to calm your nerves. “I already know that information, Enjou. After all, he is my lover, and I know everything about him.” You look up at Enjou, who is now towering over you. “What’s next? You’re going to force me to become immortal as well?”
“Yes.” Enjou nods his head.
You blink at Enjou. “Wait, what?” You back away from Enjou, only to feel hands grasping onto both of your biceps, keeping you in place. You look up and see two Abyss Lectors holding onto your biceps firmly, preventing you from thrashing and escaping from their grips. You have thought about stepping on their feet to catch them off guard, but you then realize that the Abyss Lector and Herald float in the air. Their feet hardly touch the ground, the tip of their toes grazing the floor ever so slightly.
An Abyss Herald appears by Enjou’s side, tapping him on the shoulders. Enjou turns to look at the Hydro Abyss Herald, who leans in to whisper, “The former Abyss Prince and Princess know about [Y/N]’s whereabouts and are currently searching for a way to rescue [Y/N].”
Enjou lets out a thoughtful hum, almost huffing with laughter. “Take them away. We have no time to waste,” Enjou orders.
The Hydro Abyss Herald and the Electro Abyss Lector nod their heads and escort you deeper into the Abyss. You can’t help but notice that the further you’re led into the Abyss, the more disoriented you’re beginning to feel. Your head is hurting, and your vision will lose its focus and refocus. You shake your head weakly and try to fight back, only to fail.
The Abyss Herald tightens his grip around your biceps. “There’s no way for you to escape the Abyss. Accept your fate, and it will all be painless.”
“Painless? What do you mean by painless?!” You demand, squeezing your eyes shut and grinding your teeth together as the headache gradually becomes unbearable. It felt like you got hit in the head by the Harpastum repeatedly.
The Abyss Lector lets out a sharp “tsk,” and digs his claws into your arms, drawing blood. “You talk too much,” He mutters, dragging you further into the Abyss. The Abyss Lector, Enjou, and the Abyss Herald soon pull you into an unfamiliar environment. The tower in the distance has a bright shine to it, almost blinding if you stare at it any longer. You squint your eyes and look away from the glowing tower. Once your eyes adjust to your surroundings, you realize that they didn’t just drag you to the deepest part of the Abyss. Somehow, they have taken you to Enkanomiya.
“What the—” You did a double take. “How in the world did we end up in Enkanomiya? I thought we were in the Abyss.” You whisper, rubbing your eyes tiredly. You don’t know how many days have passed; you lost track of time because of the sudden sword fight between you and Enjou. You’re convinced that Enjou is testing your strength and skills with a weapon before they can make you “immortal,” if that’s even possible.
Enjou huffs. “We were in the Abyss, but because there are people who are searching for you and have small clues about your location, we have to change the scenery so the experiment won’t be interrupted.”
You slump to the ground, arms still being held by the Abyss Lector and Abyss Herald. Your head hangs low, and you close your eyes. Despite you not being in the Abyss as of now, you can still feel the effects of being in the Abyss for some time. You can feel your sanity beginning to slip away; the pounding headache is getting even worse.
“Fine,” you whisper. “Let’s get this stupid experiment over with so it can end my misery once and for all,” You said.
“Oh? Giving up already now, are we? I didn’t think you were a quitter because, from what I can recall, you were so determined and confident about getting out of the Abyss,” Enjou says.
Enjou walks up to you, the Abyss Herald, and the Abyss Lector. He stops in front of you and kneels in front of you, grabs you by the chin, and tilts your head up. “Where was that spark almost two months ago?” Enjou quirks his eyebrows at you.
You blink at him with bleary eyes. Two months? You’ve been stuck in the Abyss for two months now? “I’ve been gone for that long?” You ask weakly.
You squeeze your eyes shut when the pain courses through your body; you can feel it in your veins, and you don’t like it at all. Yes, you were determined to leave the Abyss, but hearing how long you’ve been stuck in the Abyss made you lose hope. You gulp your saliva and visibly flinch when you taste blood in your mouth.
“Two months, and you struggle to leave the Abyss. Your determination was adorable but futile.” Enjou releases your chin and stands back up. “Come, we must get the experiment over with. We’re wasting precious time,” Enjou says. He turns around and begins to walk.
The Abyss Herald and Abyss Lector follow behind Enjou, dragging you along with them. You let yourself become limp in their grasp, trying to process how time has gone by so fast when it felt like you fell into the Abyss for only a few hours. You shake your head and close your eyes; you know that the Abyss is different from Teyvat, so why are you so surprised to hear that almost two months have gone by? Maybe it’s not actually two months in Teyvat, but it sure does feel like it the longer you’re held captive by the Abyss Lectors and Herald.
Meanwhile, back on Teyvat, the men walk around Varanara, searching for the crack in the Earth that you could have fallen into that led to you being in the Abyss. It was hard to get a precise location on where you could have disappeared off to, but because of the bracelet that is infused with elements, it should make the search a little bit easier. The men stop in front near the entrance of Varanara, peeking inside to see whether there’s an elemental trace or not.
Dainsleif turns to look at the men, crossing his arms over his chest. “How do we know for sure if they walked into Varanara?”
“They were searching for Viparyas to bring back to the Akademiya to study, remember? Viparyas only exist in Varanara.” Aether says, his eyes scanning around for any traces of you.
Heizou nods his head. “While that is true, do you remember what Tighnari said? You can only get access to Viparyas if you’re in the Grove of Dreams. We don’t know whether [Y/N] was able to make it into the Grove of Dreams or if they were in the real version of the Varanara,” said Heizou.
“Well, what are we seeing right now? To me, it doesn’t look like the Grove of Dreams at all. In fact, it looks like the complete opposite of a dream,” Venti comments, peeking from the corner of the wall.
Scaramouche furrows his eyebrows. “A nightmare?” Scaramouche guesses.
Tighnari lets out a long sigh and flicks his ears with his hands out of irritation. “Well, since we’re not seeing any Viparyas and it doesn’t look like the Garden of Dreams, then we can assume that [Y/N] never made it to the Grove of Dreams.”
Something shiny ends up catching Itto’s eyes. He turns to look at the shining object and slowly walks over to where it lies. Itto squats down and grabs the item from the patches of grass, and lifts it up, only to realize that it is the bracelet that has elements infused into the bracelet.
“Uh, guys?” Itto speaks up, slowly rising up without taking his eyes off the bracelet in his hand.
Thoma looks at Itto quizzically. “What is it, Itto?” Thoma asks.
Itto looks over at the men and holds up the bracelet in the air. “This belongs to [Y/N], right?”
“Let me see that bracelet,” Ayato demands; Ayato walks over to Itto and grabs the bracelet from the oni’s hands, holding it close to his face to inspect the bracelet that was once wrapped around your wrist.
Baizhu approaches Ayato and stares at the bracelet closely. “The bracelet is broken, the chains are snapped, and the charm is cracked,” Baizhu murmurs. He looks at Ayato, silently asking if it is okay for him to take the bracelet from Ayato’s grasp. Ayato sighs and hands the bracelet over to the green-haired Dendro user.
Baizhu walks over to Dottore and hands the Fatui Harbinger the bracelet that he has made for you. Dottore grabs the bracelet from Baizhu’s grasp, frowning deeply when he sees the condition your bracelet is in.
“What a shame that someone has broken a bracelet that I have made for [Y/N],” Dottore mutters, tightening his grip around the bracelet.
Kazuha rubs his eyes tiredly, feeling exhaustion and hopelessness hit him all at once. “So, what are we going to do now? We can’t go into the Abyss; it’ll affect us all, and we’re not entirely sure if [Y/N] is still in the Abyss or not,” Kazuha says.
“Wait, we were going to go into the Abyss!? Is that even possible?!” Gorou squeaks, his eyes widening with fear.
Kaeya nods his head. “How else are we going to get [Y/N] out of the Abyss? They can’t escape from the Abyss themself. It’s impossible to do so,” said Kaeya.
“Then how did Childe escape the Abyss? He did fall into the Abyss when he was fourteen,” Diluc says, looking over at the ginger-haired Harbinger.
Albedo hums and taps on his chin. “From what I can recall, someone taught him how to escape the Abyss without getting harmed,” Albedo replies, looking over at Childe, who nods his head grimly.
Zhongli sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. “We need to find [Y/N] as soon as possible. The longer they remain in the Abyss, the more corrupted they’ll be. Who knows what’s going on right now in the Abyss,”
Xiao narrows his eyes. “I have a strange feeling that they’re not in the Abyss….” Xiao trails off, stroking his chin while pressing his lips into a thin line.
“Oh? And why do you think that, Xiao?” Capitano asks, crossing his arms over his chest and turning to look over at the Yaksha.
Before Xiao could respond to Capitano’s question, hurried footsteps approach in their direction, causing everyone to freeze and pull their weapons out. Emerging from a distance is Kokomi and the four members of the Watasumi’s Army.
“Your Excellency!” Gorou’s eyes widen as Kokomi approaches the group.
Kokomi stops in front of Gorou and looks at him worriedly. “There’s something going on at the Sangonomiya Shrine,” Kokomi pants, trying to catch her breath.
Ayato steps up and stands next to Gorou. “What’s going on at the Sangonomiya Shrine?” Ayato asks, gazing at Kokomi quizzically.
Kokomi lets out a shaky sigh. “It’s hard for me to explain. Please come with me and see for yourself,” Kokomi says, looking at each man standing before her.
“I have a bad feeling about this,” Tighnari whispers to Albedo.
Upon their arrival at Watasumi Island, they walk to the edge of the Sangonomiya Shrine, which looks out to the beautiful island. Kokomi turns to look at the men and points down at the swirling waters down below that lead to Enkanomiya. The men peek from the edge and notice something strange about the once-glowing blue waters.
“There’s a strange glow coming from the waters,” Kazuha murmurs, analyzing the waters below.
Albedo narrows his eyes. “The waters are gradually turning black. As if something is tainting it,” Albedo whispers.
Kokomi nods her head. “That is correct. This leads to Enkanomiya, but because there’s nothing but monsters and spirits in Enkanomiya, we do not know what is causing the water to become this way,” said Kokomi.
“You want us to go check and see what’s tainting the waters of Watasumi Island,” Aether states, looking over at Kokomi after staring at the swirling waters below.
Kokomi hesitates for a second before slowly nodding her head. “That is correct.”
Heizou looks at Kokomi for a moment before looking down at the swirling water that is gradually turning black like the night sky. “Do you, by any chance, know what is going on beneath the waters?” Heizou asks, stroking his chin with a thoughtful look on his face.
“Unfortunately, I do not,” Kokomi says, sighing in defeat while shaking her head.
Kaeya looks at everyone and steps to the edge of the pink seashell. “Well, gentlemen, it looks like we have some investigating to do for Her Excellency,” said Kaeya, a smile ghosting over his face.
“Who will do the honors and jump in first?” Cyno asks, leaning over the edge to get a better look at the waters below.
Al Haitham steps up a foot behind Cyno while Cyno is occupied with looking down at the ominous swirling water. “You will, General Mahamatra,” Al Haitham snorts and kicks Cyno off the edge.
“YOU FUCKING BASTARD!” Cyno screams as he falls to the swirling waters below.
The men stare at Al Haitham blankly, slowly stepping back from the Scribe. Al Haitham smirks and crosses his arms over his chest, and looks at the others. It’s like Al Haitham is telepathically asking if there are any more volunteers.
Venti clears his throat. “You know what, I’ll go next because I don’t want to be kicked into the waters,” Venti raises his hand. Venti runs to the edge and jumps off, canon-balling into the waters below.
Scaramouche rolls his eyes. “The damn kitsune would have the time of her life if she was in your spot and I was in the Mahamatra’s spot,” Scaramouche says, pointing at Al Haitham with a scowl on his face before walking up to the edge of the shell.
“Ah, I forgot that Lady Miko and Scaramouche have an interesting history,” Thoma laughs nervously while scratching the back of his neck.
Scaramouche stands at the edge, turns to look at everyone, and makes eye contact with Childe. The two lock gazes for a moment before Scaramouche raises both of his hands and flips Childe off with two middle fingers. Childe does a double take and blinks at Scaramouche with wide eyes, his mouth agape with shock. The men around Scaramouche and Childe snicker. Scaramouche smirks before doing a backflip off the edge of the shell and dove into the waters.
“That was… something,” Kokomi trails off and looks over at Childe. “Do you two have a history with each other or something?” Kokomi asks.
Childe takes a step towards the edge with his arms over his chest, a bitter smirk on his face. “You can say that we’re both comrades. Well, former comrades, once I catch up to his ass in Enkanomiya,” Childe replies. He waves the other men goodbye before jumping into the water after Scaramouche, determined to smack some sense into his fellow (ex) Harbinger.
After Childe jumps into the water, the other men take that as a sign for them to enter the waters. Aside from checking what is going on in Enkanomiya, they also want to prevent Childe and Scaramouche from killing each other.
“Let’s get this over with,” Xiao rolls his eyes with a long sigh before jumping into the water.
Meanwhile, in Enkanomiya, your arms are bound together by a chain. The same chain is connected to the wall of Dainichi Mikoshi below the tower, where the mechanism that changes the sun and moon is located. You have never felt so weak and powerless before. It’s like the energy in your body is being sucked out of you; every last bit of it is almost gone, along with your sanity. You tug at the chains weakly; you feel your hands trembling each time you pull at the chains.
“How do you feel?” Enjou asks, nudging you with the tip of his foot.
You let your hands fall to the ground and look up at Enjou blankly. “How do you think I feel? I feel like my life and sanity are being sucked out of me,” You spat.
Enjou looks over at the Abyss Herald and the Abyss Lector, motioning them to walk to where you and Enjou are at. The Abyss Herald and the Abyss Lector stand behind you and stare at Enjou, waiting for an order.
You smirk at Enjou. “Since these two listen to your orders, why don’t you become the new ruler of the Abyss instead?” You ask bitterly, glaring up at Enjoy through your lashes. “I’m just a weak, little mortal who doesn’t wield any elements. Surely I cannot rule the Abyss, or else I’ll lead you all into a catastrophic situation,” You said dramatically. You know your dramatic theatrical act wouldn’t get you out of the situation, but it was worth the try. Plus, since you’re going to die anyway, pissing the Abyss Lectors and Herald off is on your bucket list. The bucket list that you have created just now in your head.
“That won’t do,” Enjou says, crossing his arms over his chest. You can almost hear him roll his eyes if he has one. It’s hard to tell from the blood that is rolling down your face from how hard you have hit your head on the ground when thrashing around in the clutches of the Abyss Herald and Abyss Lector.
You growl and stand up, your legs beginning to shake. “I’m going to kill you myself if it’s the last thing I do!” You exclaim.
You run towards Enjou, only to be stopped halfway when the Abyss Herald grabs ahold of the chain and yanks you back. You jerk back and land on the dusty ground with a dull thud, the air knocking out of your lungs from the impact. You wheeze and struggle to get up from the ground, trying to catch your breath.
“Weak and pathetic,” Enjou scoffs, “Start the process now. I sense something in the air,” Enjou grumbles, turning around, and walking away.
Your head perks up. “Wait, where do you think you’re going?!” You try to get up from the ground, but the Abyss Herald grabs onto your shoulders to keep you in place. The Abyss Lector stands in front of you and places his hand over your head, his hand almost engulfing your entire head.
“What are you doing?” You whisper, wanting to reach up and grab at his hand, but your hands are still bound together behind your back with the cuffs.
The Abyss Lector stares down at you. “Stay still,” The Abyss Lector orders.
You stare at him in confusion, and before you can process a single thought, you feel sharp pains in your head and behind your eyes. You let out a bloodcurdling scream and begin to thrash around, trying to shake the Abyss Lector’s hand off your head, only to fail. The Abyss Herald standing behind you digs his nails into your shoulders to keep you still. Warm liquid trickles down your face and onto the pavement below you, staining it.
Your heart clenches in your chest painfully; your throat tightens, and your once bloodcurdling screams are hoarse and choked. The pain in your head increases so much that you almost lose consciousness from the immense pain you’re feeling. You feel your body slump, your head pressing further against the Abyss Lector’s grasp, your visions dotting, and the soft ringing in your ears getting louder and louder.
“So! This is Enkanomiya, huh,” Diluc murmurs, his eyes scanning around the ominous land that is plagued with monsters and devoid of human life.
Dainsleif looks around Enkanomiya and crosses his arms over his chest. “Where do you think the problem lies in Enkanomiya that is affecting Watasumi Island?” Dainsleif asks.
“It’s interesting how Enkanomiya is still part of Teyvat, and yet they’re disconnected from Teyvat by being beneath Watasumi Island,” Pantalone murmurs, tapping his index finger on his biceps.
“Trapped beneath Watasumi Island, artificial sunlight, and plagued with monsters….” Baizhu trails off, clenching his hands into tight fists.
Pierro looks at the men and sighs. “We need to hurry up and find the source of the problem for Watasumi Island. We shouldn’t let [Y/N] wait in the Abyss any longer just to solve another issue that doesn’t have anything to do with us or [Y/N],” Pierro sighs, pinching the space between his eyebrows.
Before the men can start walking around Enkanoiya to search for the cause of the darkening waters of Watasumi Island, Zhongli holds his arm out in front of the others, halting them from walking any further.
“Something wrong?” Ayato asks, raising his eyebrows at the retired Archon.
Zhongli slowly turns his head, deep in his thoughts. “Does anyone hear that?” Zhongli murmurs, turning to look at the men around him.
Dottore raises his eyebrows at Zhongli. “Hear what?” Dottore asks, cocking his eyebrows at Zhongli with his head tilting to the side.
“I hear a scream,” Zhongli states in a low voice.
Al Haitham closes his eyes and focuses on the sound around him, trying to listen for the sound of screaming that Zhongli claims to have heard. Al Haitham opens his eyes and shakes his head at Zhongli, who look around in confusion.
“I don’t hear any screaming at all. Perhaps the screams are from hilichurls in the distance,” Al Haitham suggests.
Venti pats Zhongli on the back. “Blockhead, you’re getting old. Maybe you’re hearing things and are mistaking these noises for screaming,” Venti comments.
Heizou grabs onto the end of Zhongli’s tailcoat; Heizou looks like he’s going to pass out at any moment after realizing something. “There are Abyss Lectors and Heralds here,” Heizou whispers. Heizou’s face is almost as white as paper, gulping the lump in his throat loudly.
Aether pats Heizou’s shoulders. “Enkanomiya has always been plagued with the Abyss here. I’ve been to Enkanomiya a few times in the past, and it was surprising to see them here in Enkanomiya at first,” said Aether.
“Hold on, so you’re telling me that the Abyss Lectors and Heralds occupy Enkanomiya like how hilichurls and mitachurls would hang around in all parts of Teyvat?” Itto asks, crossing his arms over his chest with an incredulous look on his face. “Yes, so be on the lookout for any Abyss Heralds or Lectors. It’s a huge possibility that they are the ones that are tainting the waters of Watasumi Island,” Gorou says, crossing his arms over his chest with a deep frown on his face.
About fifteen minutes into the search for the source of Watasumi Island’s problem, the men come to a halt when they notice the light tower in the distance turning off. Evernight has fallen over Enkanomiya, engulfing Enkanomiya in darkness.
“Did someone happen to switch it to Evernight by any chance?” Kazuha asks.
The men shake their heads at Kazuha’s question. Kazuha looks at their surroundings to find the device that switches from Whitenight to Evernight, only to find no device. It was strange. How is it Evernight when none of them are near the mechanisms? Before Childe can open his mouth to say something, a loud bloodcurdling scream echoes through Enkanomiya, causing the others to freeze in their spot.
“That scream….” Kaeya whispers, his eyes darting over to the central building of Enkanomiya. They are a couple of meters from the building, and yet they’re able to hear the bloodcurdling scream from a great distance.
“We need to get to that tower immediately,” Capitano orders.
Everyone runs to the central tower in the center of Enkanomiya; the screams get louder and louder the closer they approach the building. Below the tower is a small room tucked underneath the floor that has the mechanism. The room can be easily missed if people aren’t keen on searching around the structure on Dainichi Mikoshi.
The men rush into the room before stopping in their tracks when they see what is going on in the room. Blood is dripping down from your face, the whites of your eyes are pitch black, and a stream of blood runs down your mouth and nose. You’re holding onto a blade that was pierced through your abdomen, glaring at the Abyss Herald that stands before you.
“[Y/N]!” Childe screams, grabbing your, the Abyss Herald, and Abyss Lector’s attention.
You push the Abyss Herald back and yank the blade out from your abdomen. Blood immediately gushes out from the gaping wound in your stomach, yet you don’t flinch. If you did, you did really well at hiding it.
“Sorry I took a while to return from the Akademiya. I was…. Busy.” You murmur, tossing the blade to the ground and covering the gaping hole in your stomach. “I don’t feel so good,” You whisper, clutching onto your throbbing head.
“Are you still the [Y/N] that we know and love?” Thoma asks nervously, watching you lean on the wall and close your eyes; blood continues to trickle down your face as you let out a ragged breath.
You laugh bitterly and shake your head. “As much as I want to say yes, I can feel the last of my sanity slipping away from me before I go berserk,” You look up. “I need you to kill me,” You whisper.
Diluc’s eyes widen, and he does a double-take at your statement. “What?!”
“We refuse to kill you!” Xiao glares at you. His eyebrows soon smooth over, and he frowns at you, his hands beginning to tremble.
“Why should we kill you? There has to be another way to save you.” Albedo mutters as Baizhu walks over to where you stand, only to stop in his tracks when you shake your head at him.
“Please don’t come any closer. I don’t want either of you to see me like this,” You swallow a mouth full of blood and wince. “They’re trying to make me immortal, but I know it’s not working because my body is destroying itself.”
You hear a familiar chuckle and see Enjou walking into the room where everyone is standing. “Oh, it’s working. You’re assuming that it’s not working because of the symptoms you’re feeling. But worry not, the experiment is working, and you will be immortal in no time,” said Enjou. Enjou’s eyes land on Aether. Oh? Well, if it isn’t the former Abyss Prince. What a surprise.”
You grit your teeth together and cough. “Fine, if none of you are going to kill me before I go berserk, then I’ll do it myself.” You spat.
“Uh, what do you mean by that?” Tighnari asks nervously.
You ignore Tighnari and push through the crowd of men and walk out of the room that you were confined in for who knows how long. Dainsleif catches up to you and grabs you by your arm, pulling you to his chest while you thrash in his arms, screaming and crying while covering the gaping wound in your abdomen that is stained crimson and black.
“You don’t have to do this; we can find a way to undo all of this mess,” Dainsleif says, tightening his grip around you.
“I don’t think there’s a way to reverse the damages that have been done,” Dottore comments, accessing the damage that has been done to your body.
You slump in Dainsleif’s arms and close your eyes, wincing every now and then when you feel your heart clench in your chest. “Just end my suffering already.” You grumble, your head lolling back onto Dainsleif’s shoulders.
Scaramouche scoffs. “Don’t be dramatic. We’ll find a way to revert you to a mortal,” Scaramouche says, walking up to you.
You didn’t reply. Instead, you lay there in Dainsleif’s arms, limp and unresponsive. Scaramouche furrows his eyebrows in confusion before lightly tapping you on the cheeks. You didn’t flinch or have any reaction from the sudden contact.
“Are they….” Baizhu trails off, rushing to you and Dainsleif. Baizhu presses his hand on your neck, searching for a pulse. Baizhu turns to look at the men that are surrounding you, Dainsleif, Scaramouche, and Baizhu. Before Baizhu can say anything, the Abyss Lectors and Herald lets out a maniacal laugh. Their laughter filled the once-silent air.
“[Y/N]!” Heizou screams, collapsing to the ground in tears.
Aether shakes his head, tears blurring his vision. “This can’t be real,” Aether whispers, shaking his head as tears cascade down his cheeks.
“[Y/N]!!” Diluc screams at the top of his lungs.
Diluc jolts up from his bed and looks around. He touches his cheeks and notices that his cheeks are wet from the tears that continuously roll down his cheeks. Was it all a dream? Diluc slowly gets out of bed and walks to the door, and opens it. Diluc notices that the others are coming out of their bedrooms, too, they all look distraught, and some even have tears running down their cheeks.
“Why are you guys crying?” Scaramouche asks, quickly wiping his tears away.
Al Haitham furrows his eyebrows. “Was it all just a dream?” Al Haitham asks.
Cyno raises his eyebrows and runs his fingers through his hair. “It seems like we all have the same dream,” Cyno mutters.
“How are we sure that it was a dream and not something that we relived in our dreams?” Diluc asks, pressing his hand against his chest while taking deep breaths to slow his racing heart.
Kaeya looks over at your closed bedroom door. “One way to find out,” said Kaeya as he slowly approached the door. Kaeya looks at the other men as if he’s asking them if they’re going to follow along or not.
Kaeya stands in front of your bedroom door and grabs the door handle, twists it, and slowly opens the door. The men crowd behind Kaeya and peek over each other. Your bedroom is almost pitch black; the only thing that is illuminating your bedroom is the small nightlight that is plugged into the wall beneath your desk.
Kaeya looks towards your bed and sees you facing the door, cuddling up against your body pillow, unharmed, asleep, safe, and sound. The men all collectively let out a quiet sigh of relief. Zhongli walks into your bedroom and sits down on your bed. He reaches towards you and tucks your hair behind your ears. Zhongli hovers his index finger in front of your nose, making sure that you’re breathing. When Zhongli feels your soft breaths on his finger, Zhongli visibly sighs in relief and lets his hands rest on his lap.
You suddenly move around on your bed and crack your eyes open. You rub your eyes sleepily and blink up at Zhongli and the others when you notice them crowding at your bedroom door. You lift your head to look at the clock and notice that it is only three in the morning. “Why are you guys awake so early? Go back to bed,” You grumble, letting your head fall down on your pillow and hugging the body pillow tightly.
“We were checking up to see if you’re asleep or not,” Gorou says, giving you a small smile.
You hum softly and close your eyes. “Well, I was asleep, but I am going back to sleep now. All of you should do the same thing,” you sigh.
“Can we sleep in here with you tonight?” Thoma asks, stepping into your room with a nervous smile on his face.
You slowly open your eyes and blink at Thoma owlishly. “All of you?” You ask.
The men nod their heads at your question.
“How are you guys going to sleep in my room? I don’t think I have space for twenty extra people,” You said softly.
Tighnari waves your comment off. “That’s okay. We’ll bring our blankets and pillows over and will sleep on the floor.” The men nod their heads at Tighnari’s reply.
“But I don’t want either of you to sleep on the ground. It’s uncomfortable.” You frown.
Childe smiles at you and leans on the door frame. “It’s okay! As long as we’re in the same room as you with our pillows and blankets, we don’t mind sleeping on the ground.”
You sigh in defeat and nod your head. “Alright, alright. You guys can sleep in the same room as me for tonight.”
The men cheer and quickly rush out of your bedroom to grab their pillows and blankets. You shake your head with a small smile and snuggle up against the body pillow. One by one, the men start to pile into your bedroom with their pillows and blankets. They all lay around you on the floor, all facing your direction. You were tempted to ask them why they suddenly wanted to sleep in the same room as you, but you decided not to ask after seeing how they were looking at you. You smile at each of them and close your eyes.
“Goodnight,” You said softly, letting out a small yawn before slowly drifting off to sleep.
“Goodnight, [Y/N].” The men whisper.
Before you fall asleep, you hear quiet shuffling in your bedroom. You feel something press against your forehead; you crack one eye open and see the men hovering above you, pressing goodnight kisses on your face before going back to where they laid their pillows and blankets out on the ground.
Once everyone has fallen asleep, Diluc slowly gets up from his spot and gets into your bed, nudging you to the side lightly. You move over to make space for Diluc and let him lay in your bed, his chest pressing up against your back, and he wraps his arms around your waist. Diluc tightens his grip around your waist and presses a small kiss on the back of your neck, closing his eyes and breathing in the scent of your shampoo and conditioner. As long as you’re safe and sound, Diluc doesn’t care if he wakes up to twenty-plus other men who are peeved off by him sneaking into your bed while they are unconscious.
