was going to write some robot money headcanons but migraine too stronk so here's the short one

TFMR headcanon - What a bot can buy with each Shanix coins

Brown coin - Energon gumball from a gumball machine, or a dry-ice popsicle from a street vendor

silver coin - cheap everyday items from Rivets Mart(something like Cybertronian Dollar Tree), such as laundry clips, trash bins and so on

Gold coin - A simple meal from cheapest local diner

watching the cobs stream is so weird, cause the bots despite their voices obviously have personalities and their own opinions that shine through even when theyre trying to supress them

and as soon as these quirks get on cobs nerves and he tries to get rid of them they start making excuses of why they cant do that, automatically rebeling against him until he forcefully destroys them

and its funny cause cobs said he stopped giving his creations emotions and they developed them anyways. like how bad are you when you start traumatizing "emotionless" robots

e-123 omega would DEFINITELY have a minor crisis over having a HUGE ego and being extremely pleased with the way he looks vs feeling like hes admiring something eggman made. not a HUGE crisis tho. i think hes pretty accepting of the fact that he sees himself as the only good thing eggman built ever. his inner monologue about it is like "damn eggman cant build for shit. not me tho, im fine as fuck" except. in the way he talks

Of course I do!

It's not that much because I kinda abandoned him (more on that later).

He was based on power in misery difficulty in cruelty squad. If you fail too much, management will turn you into fucked up blob of regenerating flesh.

The idea was that Infinite was used as a test subject for metal virus. It made him immortal because he just regenerates like zombots. Eggman didn't erase his consciousness because it was helpful with understanding orders n stuff (never did it again because of experience with Infinite). Becoming a voiceless weapon with no agency broke Infinite's mind, yes it was something he wished for, but yet again he just didn't appreciate what he had before he lost it (first thing was his squad). If you were able to read his mind it would be just "AAAAAAAAAÀAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" And the worst part is that no one even remembers his existence, after all he has done all his desperate attempts to scar the earth, to leave his mark, no one remembers him. His robotosised form looks different enough where even Sonic and Co don't recognize him. He tries to scream but his scream is silent, the only indicator of something happening are waves of red energy going from him. It is something akin to silent scream of Pure Vessel from hollow knight

He is super twitchy for a robot, feels like something closer to horror games with his erratic movements. He is highly suicidal, he tries get himself killed in battle constantly because it is the only leeway he has from Eggman's grip, too bad he regenerates from any damage. It was my version of bad ending for Infinite. I headcanon him finally dying in molten metal in one of the battles. No one even gives it a second thought.

Anyways when I presented him to discord everyone started saying shit like "serves him right" and other suggestions on how to torture him. It made me really uncomfortable so I just abandoned him altogether (yeah super hypocritical considering what I just wrote, but I can't help, it's how my brain works).

ok but like if you were an evil villain and you have a bunch of evil robots and have the evil mega base self-destruct button wouldn't it be really risky to have one of those and a bunch of evil robots that could theoretically become 'corrupted' and become 'good' which sets off the self destruct button which would defeat the whole purpose of the entire base in the first place

like if 'good' robots in a robot army has the potential to become 'evil' the evil ones have an equal potential to become 'good' wouldn't there

tailgate's story throughout mtmte/ll is literally a tragedy in the sense of like... the corruption of sympathy that repeated and constant exposure to environments that require lethal violence to survive can do to a person. to me.

is it portrayed as such? kinda? does it lead to any kind of real conversation on the topic? no 🤗

edit: like do u know how much it bothers me that when cyclonus tries to bring light to the horror that tailgate brings he just goes "FINE, LESSON LEARNED, WHATEVER. i was TOTALLY in control and calmed MYSELF down BTW" was not calm did not calm down until after the decepticon crowd dispersed. until after sending anode flying, who he has no idea ended up skewered mid-air and bleeding out, but "whatever dw dw im so strong and cool and protective and i kill Bad People™️"

like "oh hey remember sweet innocent tailgate, terrified and learning abt the horrors of his own civil war, trying to achieve greatness and community while his roommate tries to emphasize the nuance to all perspectives of humanity? yeaahhhh uhhhh he's going down the bad path of focusing on good vs evil when the war is literally over and hes trying to kill ppl he doesnt even know over small scrapes but dont worry, he's cool and its fine its whatever. dont worry abt it. he's not remorseful but like whatever man he wont do it again i prommy. like he SAID he had it handled dont you trust him??? the guy who beat someone unconscious and was STILL going after them violently??? hes. FINE. (and then tailgate doesnt end up in another situation to prove he's changed at all)

also PLEASE i wish i couldve gotten ONE scene of anode seeing tailgate again and just. acknowledging it. hanging out with swerve and being like aw hell its that dude who sent me flying like a frisbee, swerve why do you hang out with him.
